Summary: Usagi and Trunks' parents arrange for them to be married when they were young. They find out and have to navigate this new revelation and can they learn to love each other?

Chapter 1: Finding Out

"Ahhh! I'm so late!" Usagi screamed as she rushed downstairs. "Rei is going to be so mad at me!"

Usagi was muttering to herself about how mad her friends would be as she was putting on her shoes. Her mother, Ikuko, put a hand on her shoulder. Usagi looked up at her mother. She looked up at her mother and noticed the look of nervousness "Usagi, your father and I need to speak with you."

Usagi stood up, "Mom I'm late for the study group, can it wait?" She asked.

Ikuko shook her head, sighing, Usagi slipped off her shoes and followed her mother into the kitchen. Usagi saw her father sitting there looking angry. 'Maybe it is serious…what did I do?...What if they found out I'm Sailor Moon?' Thoughts ran through her head and her heart was pounding as she sat across from her parents.

"Usagi, we have been wanting to tell you about this for a while…but you are engaged to someone." Ikuko told her.

Usagi blinked and stared at her parents, after a few minutes she started to laugh. Ikuko and Kenji looked at each other then at their daughter. "Usagi, we are serious." Kenji stated.

"But what about me and Mamo? We are dating! I can't be engaged!" Usagi shouted.

"Calm down, Usagi. We have had this arranged since you were born, as for Mamoru you can explain the situation." Ikuko told her.

Biting her lip Usagi looked at her parents, "Who am I engaged too? Can I know when I might meet him?"

"His name is Trunks, and you'll meet him in three days." Ikuko explained.

Usagi nodded, then her parents let her go. She walked slowly to the Shrine where her friends where waiting for her. Her thoughts filled with what her jparents told her. Usagi walked up the stairs and when she got to the top she heard Rei yelling at her.

"Usagi! What took you so long?!" Rei scolded, "Had to stop and see Mamoru?"

Usagi shook her head and silently walked past Rei. Noticing her abnormal behavior Rei stopped her as her other friends came out to see what was going on. "Usagi, what's going on? You would normally be screaming or daydreaming if I brought up Mamoru."

Tears started to fill Usagi's blue eyes and she hugged Rei. Rei hugged Usagi back, she led Usagi towards the others. The others exchanged looks, "Usagi, want a cookie? I made them fresh." Makoto offered holding a plate of cookies to her.

Usagi refused, this made everyone worried, "What's going on, Usagi? We are getting worried." Ami said.

"I-I'm engaged."

The girls were quiet for a moment then cheered. "When did Mamoru ask? When did it happen? Let's see the ring!" They asked Usagi.

Overwhelmed, Usagi started to cry, "Not to Mamo!" She blurted out. This made the girls stop their excited chatter. "I'm in an arranged marriage." She explained. The girls hugged her and let her cry for as long as she needed.

Trunks was busy working on a new engine part for a new machine that his mother was going to test. He was listening to music as he works so he did not notice his parents enter. Bulma touched his shoulder to get his attention, he paused his music and turned to them. "What's up?" He asked.

"Trunks, we need to speak with you." Bulma told him.

Trunks put down his tools and stood in front of his parents, "Okay…"

Vegeta looked Trunks in his eyes, "You are in an arranged marriage. It was your mother's idea."

"An arranged marriage? Really?" Trunks questioned.

Bulma nodded, "Yes, to the daughter of one of my good friends we had this planned when you were still young. Her name is Usagi and you'll meet her in three days."

Trunks nodded as he watched his parents leave. 'An arranged marriage? I mean I know people do it but were they scared I wouldn't find someone?' Trunks sighed and grabbed his phone.

He texted his best friend, Goten, 'Hey Goten, I was just told that I'm in an arranged marriage.'

A few seconds later he got a response, 'Really? What do you know about your fiancee?'

'Not much, just her name Usagi.'

'That's a cute name. When are you going to meet her?'

'In three days. I am so fucking nervous, what if we don't get along?'

'Dont worry Trunks, you are awesome. If she doesn't like you then that's her problem.'

Trunks smiled, he put his phone down and started to work again. 'Usagi…it is a cute name…Maybe this wont be so bad.'

The next day Usagi was still distracted by the news 'His name is Trunks…why does that name sound familiar? How in the world am I going to tell Mamo?' She thought as she walked into class.

Once school was over Usagi saw Mamoru waiting on her, "Hey Usako!" He said gleefully. Usagi smiled at him then the realization of what she had to do set in.

"Hi Mamoru." Usagi said with a frown on her face.

"Usako? What's wrong?" He asked trying to comfort her. He went to put his arms around her and she stepped back.

"We need to talk." She whispered.

Mamoru looked at his girlfriend with a worried expression. Minako and the others came up behind her. "Mamoru, Usagi does need to tell you something, but give her time okay?" Makoto said as she touched Usagi's shoulder.

The group walked towards the Crown Cafe hoping some food will help Usagi. They entered and took their usual booth, they ordered and then Usagi looked at Mamoru with tears in her eyes. Taking a deep breath Usagi looked at Mamoru. "My parents arranged a marriage for me. I was told yesterday."

Mamoru was shocked at first, then mad. "Arranged marriage?!"

She nodded, and looked down, "We can't be together because of this."

"We can still be together. Maybe we can get them to break this thing off." Mamoru stated.

She shook her head, "They won't it's been arranged since I was little. So they have had all this time and they won't break it off."

"We will figure something out. What all do you know of this guy?" Mamoru asked.

Usagi bit her lip, "Not much to be honest, just his name. It's Trunks. It sounds so familiar but I can't place it."

Minako laughed, "The only person I can think of with that name is Trunks Briefs. The heir to the Capsule Corporation."

"Mina, you do realize the likelihood of Usagi's fiance being Trunks Briefs is? Over one in a million." Ami pointed out.

"I guess your right. But wouldn't that be cool?...Sorry Mamoru." Mina said nervously.

Usagi looked at Mamoru then down at her chocolate milkshake. 'I wonder what he'd be like…is his nice?'

The next two days were a blur for Usagi she was nervous, mad, and a bit excited to meet Trunks. Her parents wanted her home right after school to meet him at her house with his parents as well. Usagi was sitting with her friends at lunch and they were all trying to come up with an imagine of this Trunks.

"So we are for sure ruling out Trunks Briefs? I doubt many people would name their child that." Minako asked.

"Well I never said it couldn't happen it's just highly unlikely." Ami corrected.

Usagi leaned back, "What if he's a jerk? Or mean?"

"Usagi, I hope he's not, but if he is we can 'talk' with him." Makoto said.

As school ended, Usagi waved goodbye to her friends and made her way to her house. Approaching her house, she saw an unfamiliar car, 'They are here…In so nervous….' Usagi took a deep breathe before she opened the door. "I'm home!" She called out.

"Come to the living room, Usagi and meet Trunks." Ikuko called out.
