It was around noon at this point judging from the sunlight.
Ali was still in the rest area as he slept, due to the fact he exhausted his body after the surgery he'd been waking up late the past couple of days.
However, this was rest was seemingly unpleasant as his face scrunched up and he shifted in his sleep.
Ali's Dream
Ali recognized where he was immediately, it was his bedroom.
He walked over to the living room as he heard voices.
The Allstar noticed his father having an argument with his...mother.
He instantly froze in his place as he realized what day this was.
This was the day his mother abandoned the family.
"I'm sick of this Germaine! I can't take care of two kids with yo broke ass for the rest of my life!" Ali's mother, Stacia shouted.
"Stacia...please you can't leave this family, the kids need a mother-" Ali's father, Germaine tried to reason but it was useless.
Stacia put a hand up to stop him. "I'm not wasting my youth and beauty trying to raise two snot nosed brats with you." She said as she turned directly to Ali.
"And there the bastard is now." She said as Ali's eyes widened, her eyes were trained on him.
Fortunately she wasn't speaking to him, well him directly.
Suddenly a four year old Ali ran through his body as if he wasn't there, and then ran to his mother.
"Mommy where are yo-" The younger Ali was cutoff.
"Don't call me that anymore you little shit, I'm sick of you and your broke ass daddy, this family is garbage, and I'm not staying for another second." Stacia said as she began walking to the door.
Ali looked at his father who looked down in sorrow, why wasn't he doing anything.
The kid then ran after his mother in hopes of stopping her.
"Mommy please don't g-ack!" Ali yelped as she shoved him back roughly.
"I told you to stop calling me that!" She shouted as she slammed the door loudly.
Ali's world was broken, his own mother just abandoned him and his family.
His baby sister wasn't even one yet, she was in her crib sleeping right now.
He then turned to notice his father was still kneeling with his head down.
Ali ran to his dad and hugged him swiftly.
They cried all night, wishing this was just a dream but...they knew it wasn't.
As the present Ali watched this go on he began finding it hard to breathe.
The room began darkening as his family disappeared.
As he was submerged in complete darkness he could see one area was lit.
His eyes widened as he thought they were decieving him...in that lit area...was his mother staring back at him.
Before he could find his voice and call out to her, he feels two firm arms wrap around his neck as a being had put him in a sleeper hold.
He reached his hands out towards his mother...almost just like he did when he was a boy, it was instinctive.
Unfortunately, much like when he was young, Stacia simply turned her back on him and walked away...damn, two different heartbreaks in one nightmare.
"Mama-" Ali cut himself off as he struggled against the being and tried his hardest to breathe.
"That's right...call for ya mama..." The being said as Ali's eyes widened...it was his voice.
No it couldn't be...he got rid of this evil entity since they left Nublar.
"How...are you..." Ali cuts off as his evil counterpart tightened his hold.
"You can't get rid of me...I will always be a part of you no matter what...the others see you as a hero now, huh? Saving that Brooklynn girl...putting your life on the line...all I see is a scared little boy that's still cryin out for his mommy." Dark Ali said with a sickening smirk.
"Let...me...go!" Ali shouted as he was still struggling.
"Heh, not a chance...I haven't had enough fun yet." The dark Ali whispered right into Ali's ear.
Real World
Ali woke up with a startled expression as he breathed heavily.
It was only a nightmare...but it all felt so weird, even in his dreams that illusion of himself haunted him.
"What the hell was that dream?" He questioned as he sat up, trying his hardest to act as if the dark Ali was simply an illusion, which technically wasn't too far off.
"Might as well go join the others now." He said as he got up and walked out onto the main deck huskily.
"What do you mean? I've always wanted a signature look." Ali heard Ben's joke as the entire group was there sharing a laugh.
All except Sammy and Kenji who were in the control room.
"What time is it?" He asked as he made his presence known to them.
"Oh wow, look who decided to rise from the dead." Brooklynn said with a smirk.
"Haha." Ali laughed dryly.
"Hello, boyfriend, that feels so good to say." Yasmina said as Ali walked up to her and began moving his face close to hers.
"It's even better to kiss-mph!" Yasmina blocked the kiss with her right hand.
"Not so fast, you just woke up, you have afternoon breath, it's not happening until you brush your teeth." Yasmina dismissed him as he groaned at her.
"What a nice and respectful girlfriend I have." He said as he grabbed some berries and made his way to the bathroom to brush his teeth.
"Yea, I'm such a bad girlfriend for caring about my boyfriend's dental hygiene." Yasmina said sarcastically.
"You guys have...an interesting relationship." Ben said to Yasmina as she arched her brow.
"I don't know how to take that." Yasmina said honestly.
"Ugh, he did it again." Darius groaned out.
"What is it D?" Brooklynn questioned him.
"It's Ali, he's been mad at me since he left the island and he refuses to speak to or even look at me." Darius complained.
"Why can't he forgive me if you were so willing to?" Darius asked Brooklynn.
"Well the only reason Brooklynn forgave you so easy is probably because she li-mph!" Ben's sentence is muffled as Yasmina covered his mouth.
She smiled sheepishly at Brooklynn and Darius.
Brooklynn glared at Ben and Darius arched his brow in confusion.
"Ahem, anyways, um there's no way for us to understand what's happening in Ali's head but, I'm sure he'll come around, just give him time." Brooklynn said reassuringly.
Before the conversation could continue Ali came back on the scene.
"Can I have my kiss now, miss Fadoula?" He questioned as Yasmina thought it over.
"Hmm, I think you've earned it." She said as she gave him a quick peck.
"Yuck, anyways I'll be right back guys." Ben said as he went into the bunker.
He quickly came back out with seven wooden spears.
"I knew it! He has been plotting to kill us the entire time!" Ali exclaimed.
"What no-" Ali cuts Ben off.
"It all started with the witchcraft, nobody has that typa convenience when it comes to finding things!" He shouted.
"And-ack!" Ali exclaimed as Brooklynn squeezed his side.
"Continue, Ben." She stated flatly.
"As I was saying...Sammy, Kenji, and I found out six months had passed since we got stranded, happy belated by the way Darius." Ben began as Darius nodded in thanks.
"Then Sammy cooked good food for us, so that's basically Thanksgiving right there, but Christmas is still untouched." Ben said as he handed each of them their own spears.
"So I made these before we left, and all of your names are carved into them." Ben informed them.
"Wow...this is so nice Ben." Brooklynn said as she looked at him awkwardly.
"Don't exactly know how to use a spear but...thank you Ben." Ali said as he sat down again.
"Thanks Pincus!" Yasmina shouted as she plopped down next to the allstar.
"I did a good deed today." Ben stated happily.
Suddenly the engine cut as Sammy and Kenji came down to the lounge.
"Why are we stopped cap?" Ali questioned Kenji as he was eating a plate of berries.
"Well a certain Texan lady is forcing me to take a break." Kenji said as he walked over and sat in between Ali and Yasmina much to the trackstar's dismay.
"It's for your own good Kenji, do you want to overwork yourself?" Sammy asked as she crossed her arms.
"Oh by the way Ben made us all our own spears...don't question it." Yasmina informed them as they looked puzzled for a second.
They eventually just shrug and sit down.
"Oh, thank you." Kenji said as he reached for Ali's plate only for the Allstar to move it swiftly.
"Not so fast bud." Ali said as Kenji deadpanned and went to get his own plate.
Brooklynn chuckled at Kenji and Ali, even though they were goofy at times their relationship was strong...she unfortunately did notice how longily Darius gazed at Ali.
Their relationship was weakened but she knew brothers always had to fight at times, she hoped they would eventually get over it though.
"I can't believe we're finally off the island." Sammy spoke up, bringing Brooklynn out of her thoughts.
"I know right? It's almost unbelievable." Yasmina said as she laid her head on Ali's shoulder.
"Now if you gu-" Sammy was cutoff by Ben.
"And now...for the main course!" Ben shouted as he brought out a dish.
The others all gasped in expectation.
"The plumpest! And the juiciest! Nublar grubs!" Ben revealed the plate of grubs as the group all wretched in disgust.
"Hand selected by yours truly." Ben said proudly.
"Ben if you put that grub in your mouth..." Ali trailed off as Ben ate the grub with no hesitation.
The others yelled out in different forms of disgust.
The Allstar began wretching as he ran to the railings and began hurling into the ocean.
He then turned around as Ben offered the plate of grubs to Sammy.
"Um, would you look at that...I think it's time to get back to driving the boat Kenj!" She shouted as she grabbed Kenji's arm.
"What happened to the break?" Kenji shouted only to be ignored.
Ben looked puzzled as he suggested the dish to the remaining.
"No thank you." Yasmina said as she held up her hands.
"I think I'm fine with the berries." Brooklynn said as she sat down.
"How you all survived, I'll never know." Ben said in disgust.
"We survived...by not eating live invertebrates." Ali said with a deadpan.
Ben sets the plate down in front of Yasmina as she moved it away with her leg.
Ali sat down as he gave her a side hug.
"Okay guys, I think we've had enough sun for today, Ben clearly has..." Brooklynn said as they deadpanned at eachother.
Ali went to grab some berries but realizes his plate had been cleared, there was no way he ate them all that quick.
"What the hell? Where did my berries go? I swear if it was Kenji..." Ali trailed off.
The others looked at him in confusion.
"Well, it wasn't me." Darius responded as Ali effectively ignored him.
"Maybe the boat is...haunted." Yasmina said dramatically.
"You're obsessed with scary stuff." Ali said as they began chuckling.
Brooklynn realized something as Ben picked up some fruit.
"No more sea sickness Ben? Did the island beat it out of you?" Brooklynn questioned him.
"When you've seen the things I've seen, a little thing like motion sickness can't- awwww!" Ben groaned out at he noticed his plate of grubs was empty.
"Who ate all the grubs?" Ben questioned them with a glare.
"Ugh! Not if you paid me." Brooklynn said in disgust.
"Definitely not me." Yasmina informed him.
"I don't think that should even be a complaint." Ali said with a deadpan.
Before anything else can be said they hear a small clicking sound which put them on alert.
They all ran over to the inner rails to see what it was.
They all gasped in shock as they recognized it to be a Compy.
"Ofcourse, a stowaway." Yasmina said with a deadpan.
"Guess we left the island but the island didn't exactly wanna leave us." Brooklynn said as she shook her head.
"The last thing we need is it chewing on some wires or something." Darius explained.
"What do ya say we catch one last Compy?" Yasmina questioned the others.
Ben and Brooklynn ran after the Compy as Ali sighed and went in the other direction.
The others could handle the Compy situation, he totally wasn't trying to get away from Darius.
"Okay Ali, this has gone on long enough." Darius declared as Ali stopped in his tracks.
Yasmina realized that neither Ali or Darius ran with Ben and Brooklynn so she stayed back and listened to their conversation.
The allstar refused to face Darius as he glared into the sea.
"Will you knock it off already? You've ignored me ever since we left the island, and it's over something that wasn't even my fault! Brooklynn sa-" Darius cuts himself off as Ali turned swiftly.
"Don't even finish that sentence!" Ali snapped as he walked closer to Darius.
Yasmina gained a wary expression as she feared things would get physical.
"You don't...leave your family, no matter what." Ali said as he tried to calm his emotions down.
"But you wouldn't understand that, because all you care about is dinosaurs!" Ali shouted dismissively as he turned and began walking up to the control room, completely ignoring the glare Darius was sending his way.
Darius goes to say something but Yasmina stopped him.
"I got it Darius...you should probably go help the others." She explained to him.
Darius sighed and nodded as he walked slowly to go help Ben.
He then began overthinking, did he really abandon Brooklynn? Even if she was okay with it, it did seem bad at this point in time.
Control Room
Kenji and Sammy had been tweaking the comm system.
"Wrench." Sammy said as Kenji looked at her in confusion.
"Um...which one is the wrench?" Kenji questioned her as she looked at with an arched brow.
"Aww Kenji, you're so childlike it's adorable." Sammy said as got the wrench out of the pack and began getting to work again.
'So...she doesn't think I'm manly enough to her?' Kenji mentally questioned himself.
"Kenji, Kenji, Kenji!" Sammy shouted as she brought him out of his thoughts.
"Are you okay?" She questioned witj a wary expression.
"Oh um...I'm perfectly fine, I just got lost in your, beauty? Because that's what real men do." Kenji said as he puffed out his chest and held his head up.
Sammy stifled a laugh. "You're too cute Kenj." She said as Kenji's pride faltered.
The cowgirl then kissed him on the lips as they started a small makeout session.
That didn't last long however as the door flew open to reveal an irate Ali.
Sammy and Kenji separated swiftly as they scrambled.
"Is knocking a foreign concept in New York?" Kenji shouted with a deep blush.
"Oh please, I already saw the little kissy kiss just continue whatever you're doing, I'm just here to get away from Darius." Ali said as he sat down and began reading a comic collection they had found, it probably belonged to Mitch but nobody cared.
Sammy's gaze softened, Ali and Darius' hurt relationship was affecting the others just as much them.
"Well how are we supposed to do that if you're here ruining thing-ack!" Kenji is cutoff as Sammy elbows him.
He looks at his girlfriend as she jerks her head to the door as he noticed Yasmina there.
"Um, can you guys leave for a second...the others could probably use some help with the Compy issue." Yasmina said as they were puzzled.
"Don't even ask." She said as she walked over to Ali.
Sammy and Kenji shrug at eachother before exiting the room.
"Wait, lemme put on the autopilot." Kenji said as he switched it on and the boat began driving itself.
He then left swiftly due to the trackstar's deadpan.
"Sooooo, you wanna talk about what that little outburst was down there?" Yasmina questioned Ali as she turned to him.
Ali continued reading as he refused to look up at her.
"Nope." Was his cryptic response.
Yasmina sighed exasperatedly as she snatched the comic from him much to his dismay.
"Look at me Ali." She demanded with no room for discussion.
The allstar looked into her eyes as she softened at the pain in his eyes.
"I have one simple question." She said as he looked at her neutrally.
"Do you...do you love Brooklynn?" Yasmina questioned as Ali's eyes widened.
The All-star sighed before facing the Trackstar again.
"Yes, I do love Brooklynn..." Ali began as Yasmina almost immediately gained a heartbroken expression.
"As a sister." He finished as she literally huffed in relief.
She noticed his small smirk as she lightly smacked his head with a frown marring her features.
Ali groaned as he rubbed his head.
"I'm here being sweet to you and you're messing with my heart!" Yasmina shouted.
"I'm sorry Yas." Ali said as he stood up and hugged her.
"Wait...so why did you go that far if you only saw Brooklynn as a sister?" Yasmina questioned him as he sighed.
"Because...Brooklynn reminds me of my actual younger sister back at home." Ali began.
"Our mother left when I was only about five, and my sister wasn't even one yet." Ali revealed as Yasmina almost looked heartbroken once more.
"She just abandoned us...yea we had our father but, every kid deserves a mother, so I was forced to protect her even as a little kid since she didn't even know her own mom's face." Ali continued.
"When I saw Darius abandon Brooklynn without a second thought, I immediately thought of the day my mother left my family to fend for ourselves." Ali finished.
"That's...that's a really sad story but you should know Darius really does love Brooklynn it's obvious." Yasmina said.
"Didn't seem like that to me." Ali said with a deadpan.
"I know but...I was there that night, the pain in his eyes when he made the decision to put Brooklynn's life in the balance, he didn't want to do it Ali." Yasmina explained as the All-star's gaze softened a bit.
"Look, you don't have to forgive Darius right away but please...atleast put yourself in his shoes that night, and imagine Brooklynn was me." Ali's eyes widened when Yasmina said this.
Before the conversation could continue the boat was jostled causing them to stop hugging and try to steady themselves.
The boat stopped as well in the process.
"What's happening?" Ali shouted as Kenji suddenly ran into the room.
"Aww man! We could have known if we had working sonar, thanks for that by the way guys." Kenji deadpanned at them.
"Your welcome." Ali said with a deadpan of his own.
"What was that?" Ben shouted from the deck as Sammy and himself were searching for the Compy.
"Probably just a swell! Captain K's got it under control!" Kenji shouted with a salute.
"Okay Kenj, I'm coming up!" Sammy shouted as she began making her way to the control room.
"Okay, you've had enough control room time wonder couple, time to go." Kenji said as they both rolled their eyes and walked out of the door.
"When we get to Costa Rica I'm definitely gonna tackle you Kenji." Ali threatened as Kenji stuck his tongue out.
Sammy made her way into the control room.
"Now can we actually fix the sonar?" He questioned her.
"Yes Kenji, are you sure you're ready this time?" Sammy questioned.
Kenji scoffed. "Ofcourse I'm ready." He boasted and they began to work.
Well, more so Sammy doing all of the work as Kenji simply observed and held the toolbox.
"Sammy, how do you know about all of this stuff anyways?" Kenji questioned randomly.
"Um, I'm from Texas, we're all pretty much born with tools attached to our hands." She explained.
"My dad always said never to marry a man who couldn't use tools..." Sammy said as Kenji's eyes widened.
The cowgirl realized what she said. "Oh! Wait no, no Kenji I was gonna say I don't care what he says, if I love someone that stuff doesn't matter to me." Sammy said as she continued to fidget with the wiring.
Kenji looked down a bit, even though Sammy reassured him that she didn't care, he now knew her father wouldn't approve of him because he wasn't manly enough.
"Wow, this fuse holding is really outdated, I'm honestly surprised it didn't fall apart way sooner." She said as she continued tweaking it.
"Pliers." Sammy stated as she held her hand out.
Kenji scrambled to find the pliers as he struggled to identify it in the array of tools.
Sammy looks at him as she realized he was struggling, so she picked up the pliers herself as Kenji chuckled at her.
The cowgirl turned back around and started working again as she failed to realize Kenji's frown.
He had to prove he was manly somehow, but he didn't know how.
Deck
Yasmina and Ali had walked into a room in search of the Compy.
After their little conversation they decided to help in the search for the mischievous dino.
They looked around as they noticed numerous portraits of Mitch and Tiff causing them to grimace.
"Oh my...I think I'm about to hurl twice in one day Yas." Ali said exasperatedly.
"Please, aim in this direction." She said as she gestured to the wall of pictures.
"I'll try, now would this Compy just come out already? I was not joking about the hurling thing!" Ali exclaimed.
Yasmina searches under the bed as she noticed nothing.
"Welp! Nothing to see here! I think we've searched this room thoroughly enough." Ali said as he began walking to the exit.
"Oh, wait Ali...can I talk to you again for a second?" Yasmina questioned as she walked up to him.
"What is it Yas?" He questioned her in return.
"I just wanted to show you something I made because I wanted everyone to have a nice memory to end our nightmare off." Yasmina said as she pulled out and a picture and handed it to the allstar.
"Yea so basically it's a picture of us on the first day on the ferry ride over and I couldn't remember everything so it could be better so-" Ali cuts Yasmina off.
"Yas...this picture is awesome, it was a really sweet thing for you to do actually." He said as he admired the photo, them being normal teens before they had to endure the tragedy.
"You outdid yourself again." Ali said as he kissed her swiftly then hugged her causing the trackstar to blush slightly before hugging her boyfriend back.
"I was thinking we could get everyone to put their deets on it." Yasmina explained as they separated.
"Deets? What's that?" Ali questioned.
"Oh sorry, I've been hanging around Brooklynn too much, I mean like their social media handles, numbers, etcetera." Yasmina informed him as he nodded in understanding.
"That would be cool, we could stay in touch easier." Ali said as he rolled the paper into a scroll and put it in his pocket.
"She's fast, she's strong, she's smart, she's beautiful and she can draw so good it's almost illegal, what can't the great and powerful Yasdini do?" Ali exclaimed dramatically.
"Stop it." Yasmina said bashfully.
"Compies headed for the deck!" Darius shouted as he ran by.
"Come on!" Brooklynn shouted as she came right behind him.
Ali and Yasmina quickly followed after them as they ran out to the deck where Ben was.
"It's gotta be here somewhere, anyone see it?" Darius questioned.
"I figured I'd pack everything up before it got to it." Ben informed them as he set all the food out in bags.
"Good idea Ben." Ali congratulated him.
"We'll find it, fan out!" Yasmina shouted as they scattered to cover more ground.
"And here I thought we were done with dinos." Brooklynn said exasperatedly.
"Tell me about it." Ali said with a deadpan.
Control Room
Sammy had just finished working as she put the sonar device back in carefully.
"Okay, that should be good, time to test it out." The cowgirl stated as she flipped the switch.
With a small trill, the sonar device glowed green showing that it was on as they began laughing triumphantly.
"We did it!" Sammy shouted as Kenji hugged her tightly.
"You're a genius Sammy!" He exclaimed.
"I wouldn't say all that but...I wouldn't mind if you said it again." She said as she smirked.
"Well, Sammy Guitierrez you are a genius." Kenji said as he continued hugging her.
The Texan smiled at the praise before they separated.
"I still can't believe you did it a-and so fast." Kenji said in disbelief.
"Agh! You're amazing!" He shouted as he hugged her again swiftly.
Kenji then started the boat up and began driving as they chuckled.
Deck
The group crept towards the Compy as it chewed on a rope.
The dinosaur realized they were there and turned to screech at them all.
"Cranky." Ali commented as Darius picked up a bucket.
"Ben, distract it." Darius instructed him as the survivalist nodded.
Ben picked some berries out of his fanny and threw it on the ground.
The Compy began eating the Berries as Darius prepared to trap it with the bucket.
"Go." Brooklynn said in a hushed tone.
As Darius was about to lunge at the tiny dinosaur the boat jostled again causing them all to fall with yelps.
The Compy leaped over Ali's head and ran away from the groupm
"You've gotta be kidding me, why the hell does the boat keep doing that?" Ali shouted exasperatedly as the boat continued rocking.
As the boat came to a halt the grouo stood up.
"Propeller's jammed! Someone has to go under and check it out!" Kenji shouted in response to Ali's question from earlier.
"Kenj thinks we might be caught up in some kelp!" Sammy shouted as Brooklynn gasped.
"What is it Brooklynn?" Yasmina questioned her.
"Kelp forests...are usually heavily shark infested." She informed them as they all gasped.
"Sharks? I'll pass, saw Jaws as a kid, really messed me up for life." Yasmina dismissed the idea swiftly.
"So you're obsessed with amusement park deaths and ghosts...but sharks is where you draw the line?" Ali questioned as Yasmina deadpanned at him.
Darius looked into water as he gained a determined look.
He looked back to the group. "I'll do it." Darius said curtly.
Brooklynn's eyes widened. "Are you sure Darius? This is super dangerous, especially alone." She said warily.
"Someone has to do it, I'll be quick don't worry." Darius said as they began tying a rope around his waist.
Yasmina tied the rope around the ladder as she checked the knot to make sure it was good.
"Are you sure you wanna do this alone?" Yasmina questioned.
"Yea, just be ready to pull me up." Darius said as he walked past Ali, they didn't look at eachother at all.
Ali knew deep down he was worried for Darius though, he couldn't live with himself if the dino nerd didn't make it back.
Everyone minus Kenji and Sammy grabbed different parts if the rope..
Darius disregarded his shoes as he looked at them once before holding his breath and diving into the water.
As Darius went to the propellers he began moving the kelp that was keeping them jammed.
As he finished he resurfaced to let the others know the job was done.
"He's up!" Yasmina shouted.
"Propeller was stuck in kelp, tell Kenji to try it out now, I'll stay in the water just in case." Darius told them.
"Got it!" Sammy shouted as she ran to the control room.
"Darius moved the kelp, try now." Sammy said as Kenji nodded and put the engine on.
They watched as the boat moved out of the kelp forest.
"We're good!" Kenji shouted as Sammy ran out and informed the others of the success.
Everyone began cheering as the boat moved leisurely.
Kenji then shut the engine off so Darius could get back on the boat.
Before he went out to the deck he heard the sonar make an alert sound causing him to gain a confused expression.
Sammy came into the room as well as they looked at the device.
They noticed a giant object moving towards the boat.
"What the hell?" Kenji questioned.
"Can we just hope it's a large school of fish?" Sammy questioned.
"Judging from our past, I'd say we don't take our chances." Kenji informed her as she nodded and ran back outside.
"Tell them to hurry!" He shouted.
"There's something in the water! It's headed straight for Darius!" Sammy shouted.
The others immediately began panicking, especially Darius since he was in the water.
"Pull!" Ali shouted as they began pulling Darius in.
Brooklynn began looking out into the water trying to see what it was.
She gasped as she noticed a shark fin in the water.
"It's a shark!" She shouted as the others began panicking even more and pulling faster.
"Kenji! It's a shark, back the boat up!" Sammy exclaimed.
"I can't! It's not working!" Kenji shouted exasperatedly.
"Darius!" Yasmina shouted as she leaped to the front of the group and began pulling hard.
Darius tried to swim against the rough current of the sea.
"The shark is getting closer!" Brooklynn shouted as they all gasped and started becoming frantic.
"It's heading right for Darius!" Yasmina shouted.
"It's right on us!" Kenji shouted.
Darius turned around to notice the shark was in fact closing the distance between them fast.
Darius got close to the boat as he reached for Ben's hand, unfortunately his leg got caught in kelp as he was pulled back.
"Holdon! I got you!" Yasmina shouted.
As they continued pulling they failed to realize the rope had a rip in it.
This is when all hell broke loose, the rope snapped as Darius was left stranded in the water.
The others all gasped in shock and realization.
Ali felt his heart sink to his stomach, this can't be happening.
"No! Darius!" Brooklynn shouted as tears began forming in her eyes.
Darius felt his blood run cold as he tried to swim out of the kelp.
'No...I can't let Darius go out like this especially after being cold to him these past few days.' Ali mentally stated.
"We have to get him out of there!" Brooklynn shouted.
"Is there a life preserver? Or another rope!" Ben shouted as he searched.
Ali was frozen in his tracks as he tried to figure out why.
Before anything else can be said they all heard a familiar cry as they looked out into the ocean to see the Mosasaurus!?
The aquatic monster ate the shark in one bite.
Darius noticed it too as he began trying to swim towards the boat even more frantically.
"Is that the Mosasaurus?" Ben questioned.
"How did it even get here?" Brooklynn questioned.
"We have to get Darius out! Now!" Yasmina shouted.
"Ali? What do we do-" Brooklynn was cutoff as the allstar began moving forward without a word.
Ali was tired of sitting back and doing nothing.
Before anyone could make a move Ali ran and leaped into the water.
"Ali!" Yasmina shouted as he swam towards Darius.
"Hang in there Darius! I'm not letting it end like this!" He shouted as he swam up to Darius.
"Please...help!" Darius shouted as his arms were getting tired from swimming against the kelp.
As Darius fell under Ali dove and began pulling him back to the surface.
The others waited anxiously for them to resurface.
The two boys burst out of the water as they took in the air.
The others brightened a bit at this but they still wore wary expressions.
"Ali...I...thank you." Darius said between breaths.
"Don't sweat it! But we're not done yet!" Ali shouted as he dove under and untangled the kelp around Darius' leg.
The Mosasaurus cried out as it got closer to them.
The two boys resurfaced as Ben threw a life saver into the water.
"Grab on!" Yasmina shouted.
Ali and Darius did just that as the three began pulling the boys towards the boat.
They grunted as Darius and Ali got to the boat.
Yasmina pulls Darius onto the boat first as Ali was helped on right after.
"Kenji! Start that damn engine!" Brooklynn shouted as Kenji swiftly did that and the boat moved quickly away from the Mosasaurus.
Darius and Ali breathed exasperatedly as they turned to eachother.
"You saved my life..." Darius said in disbelief.
"Why do you sound surprised? You're my brother Darius, I could never fall out with you because the love is unconditional." Ali said as he offered Darius his fist.
Darius smiled and fist bumped him before he got up and walked over to Brooklynn.
"Darius!" She shouted as she collided with him causing the dino nerd to groan slightly.
Ali stood up as Yasmina quickly rushed to him and started checking him for injuries.
"I'm fine Yas...can we please just go home now." He said exasperatedly as they all chuckled.
The trackstar gave her boyfriend a kiss on the cheek as she immediately sputtered after.
"Yuck, you're covered in salt water." Yasmina said as the laughter intensified.
"Okay, we can finally leave on that no-woah!" Darius exclaimed as the boat was rammed into once more causing them all to fall with a yelp.
Kenji and Sammy had fell to the ground with loud thuds.
It was the Mosasaurus, it easily caught up to them.
"Kenji!" Sammy shouted as he stood up and began trying to drive the boat away.
The escape attempt was futile as the Mosasaurus quickly lunged and bit down on the right side of the back of the boat.
"I thought we were done with this bullshit!" Ali shouted as Yasmina ran at the Mosasaurus.
She began striking it in the head with a paddle.
The dinosaur grew annoyed, so it attempted to take a bite out of her.
Ali pulled her back as he threw one of the spears into it's mouth, causing the creature to cry out as it was struck in the tongue.
It went into the water to regroup, as the camp fam thought they could relax.
"Sorry to whoever's spear that was." He apologized.
"I don't think anyone's offended." Yasmina said with a shrug.
Suddenly the Mosasaurus lunged at the boat again as it bit an entire chunk of the boat out causing the camper's to yelp and back up.
Sammy came down the ladder as she joined them.
"What happened to being done with dinosaurs!" Yasmina shouted.
"Run!" Ali exclaimed as they turned around and ran away from the assailant.
However this wasn't effective since the Mosasaurus made the boat start slanting.
They all fell as they tried helplessly to stay upright.
Kenji grimaced as he had essentially lost all control of the boat.
The Mosasaurus stopped the attack for a bit.
The group then climbed onto the rails since the boat was slanted.
"This is has to be our worst luck yet." Ali said as he helped Yasmina up to the top.
"I don't see it! Did it give up?" Darius questioned.
Only for them all to yelp as the Mosasaurus strikes the yacth with it's head.
"Does that answer your question?" Ali shouted as they all began sliding down again.
Yasmina was about to fall into the water as Ali reached for her.
"Yasmina!" Ali shouted as he caught her by the arm, her legs were submerged in the drink.
Kenji looked at the sonar device as he realized an island ahead of them.
"No choice." He said to himself as he tried his best to push the battered ship towards the island.
The Mosasaurus was still assaulting the boat.
The others noticed the island as well.
"Land!" Ben shouted with a chuckle.
"That doesn't look like Costa Rica to me!" Ali exclaimed.
"Well it's either that or this, I choose the island!" Brooklynn shouted.
"Push it Kenj!" Sammy shouted.
As the Mosasaurus continued to strike the boat, everyone was thrown around.
"Come on! Come on!" Kenji yelled as the island came a bit closer.
The Mosasaurus then leaped into the air.
Everyone looked up in horror. "No!" They all shouted simultaneously.
The Mosasaurus collaspes onto the yacth as that was the straw that broke the camel's back.
The boat was completely destroyed...after that it was just darkness.
Brooklyn, New York
A little girl was standing in a room that belonged to her favorite sibling, her only sibling.
This was Leah Barlett, she was only eleven but she had a big heart for size.
"Big brother..." She trailed off as she climbed into his bed and stared out the window.
"When are you gonna come home?" The girl questioned as she hugged his pillow and began crying.
This had been the same routine for the past six months when she found out her brother didn't come back.
Her father said there's no way Ali could've survived but she didn't give up hope, she knew Ali would be home one day.
The little girl went to sleep after about ten minutes of crying her heart out, pain is such a strong sleep aid.
Camp Fam
Ali stirred as his vision was blurry, he noticed he was on land.
'So...we made it.' He thought as he stood up with a groan and felt his neck.
Thankfully his chain was still there.
He looked around and noticed the others were stirring as well with groans.
"Are you guys good?" Ali questioned as he walked over to Yasmina and helped her up.
"Yea...if you call your head ringing good." Yasmina said as she lazily stood up.
"Okay, this has to be a dream." Sammy said as Kenji helped her up.
"I think it's more of a nightmare." Brooklynn said as she walked over to Darius.
They all took in their surroundings as they noticed the jagged area on the island.
Lightning struck in the background. "What the hell is this place?" Ben questioned.
It got really windy as everyone began rubbing their arms.
Ali noticed half of one of Ben's spear was stuck into ground.
He pulled it out as he checked it, the pointy end was still there atleast.
"So what's our next move, D?" Ali questioned him.
"Maybe we can find shelter in there." Ben suggested as he gestured to the ominous island.
Everyone minus Ali walked towards the dark cave.
"Oh hell nah, have yall never watched a horror movie? We're supposed to stay away from the dark ominous cave." He stated as Yasmina turned to him.
"Only my boyfriend would be brave enough to stab a Mosasaurus in the mouth but be scared of a damn cave." She said as they continued walking.
"Touché." Ali said as he ran up to join them.
"For the record I'm not scared, I just don't have a good feeling about this place at all..." Ali said as they walked into the cave.
This was a serious case of Deja Vu, only the camp fam could get stranded twice in a row.
