Unknown Island
As the camp fam got to the end of the cave, they came upon a strange desert like area.
They all wore wary and curious expressions.
"How the hell did we end up on Mars? This has to be some type of hallucination or nightmare." Kenji stated.
Ali swiftly punched him causing him to yelp.
"Hey! What was that for?" Kenji shouted.
"I was just testing your theory, turns out you were wrong." Ali said with a shrug as Kenji groaned at him.
"Will you two knock it off?" Brooklynn questioned them as they straightened up immediately.
"Alright, this is certainly not Costa Rica." Darius said as they looked out at the barren wasteland.
Brooklynn and Yasmina walk down a bit.
"Careful guys, we still don't know what this place is." Ali said as he turned to Darius.
"Um, it kinda looks like Australia...? There's no way we coulda traveled that far though." Darius said as everyone minus Ben cautiously walked forward.
Ben had a thoughtful look on his face as the others walked ahead.
"So we know where we aren't...any idea where we are?" Brooklynn questioned.
"Nope, just that we're stranded and alone...again, deja vu really sucks sometimes." Yasmina said as she threw a rock.
"Only this group could manage to get stranded twice in a row." Ali said as he put the spear over his shoulder.
"We just gotta...assess the situation." Darius said trying to keep hope.
Ben suddenly gasps. "Guys!" He shouted as he slid down the hill.
"Look at that! Over there in the distance! Something shiny." Ben said as they all looked ahead to notice a silver item glaring in the distance.
"I see it! Looks like the sun is glintin' off of some kinda...metal thingy?" Sammy questioned.
"Well that means their could be civilization right? And before you say it Kenji, no, this is not another planet inhabited by alien overlords." Ali said with a deadpan as Kenji slumped, he was really hoping that idea was right.
"Yes! I agree with Ali, something metal means a human probably made it, we gotta go check it out." Ben declares.
"Wait a minute, you wanna go walking across a blazing hot desert, just because you saw something shiny?" Kenji questioned him.
"We have no idea what's out there." Darius added in.
"What choice do we have guys? We're literally back to how things were on Nublar...no choice but to take risks." Ali said to them as they looked down in defeat.
They raised their heads as Ben began speaking.
"Oh my sweet frightened children..." He began.
"So we're not in Costa Rica, and we don't know where we are, and we have no hope, we didn't know how we were gonna survive on Nublar! Yet, we did by sheer will, determination, and teamwork, there aren't even dinosaurs here, so logically this should be easier, so let's go out there and...ya know, survive!" Ben shouted intensely.
The others looked at him blankly.
"Why not?" Yasmina questioned lazily as they all minus Ali and Ben began walking away.
"We can atleast try." Sammy stated.
Ben looked at their retreating forms with wary gaze.
"How the hell do you do the motivational speech thing man?" He questioned Ali as the Allstar smirked at him.
"It's a gift...oh you have no idea how long I've been waiting to say that to you, nice speech though." Ali said as he began walking to join the others.
Ben glared at his back as he sighed and followed after them.
Desert
As the group walked through the desert they took in the environment.
"This place is weird...it's like another plan-" Ali cuts Kenji off with a flick as the rich boy yelped and rubbed his ear.
"We've already discussed the planet thing, shutup." Ali said as he walked ahead to join Yasmina.
"I support your theory Kenj." Sammy said as she held his hand.
"Thank you Sammy, atleast someone appreciates my artistic curiosity!" Kenji shouted as Ali rolled his eyes.
"As if dinosaurs weren't enough, now we're washed up on some deserted island." Yasmina said in exasperation.
"Tell me about it, we've got to be cursed." Ali said in agreement.
"Well atleast...it's a nice day." Ben said shakily.
"Atleast...there aren't any mosquitoes?" Sammy suggested.
"Atleast, we're not being tortured for eternity by vampires." Yasmina said with a grin as Ali stares at her blankly.
"That was just dark, when we get to that metal thing we're gonna have a serious talk about what's going on up here." Ali said as he tapped Yasmina's head.
"I got one! Atleast it's like the beach, but with no ocean." Kenji said as he looked down in realization.
"So...a desert." Ali said with a deadpan as Kenji glared at him.
"That was a good one Kenji, don't listen to him." Sammy said as Kenji immediately smiled when he looked at her.
"Eh...needs more vampires." Yasmina said with a shrug.
"No more vampires!" Ali shouted as they all chuckled and continued walking.
The further they got, the hotter sun became, which only added to their fatigue.
Brooklynn took off her pink jacket to cool herself down.
She had an orange undershirt under though.
"Atleast...we aren't being tortured by demon's in a fiery pit of fire." Yasmina said tiredly.
"Are you sure about that?" Brooklynn asked dryly.
"I think the heat is getting to me...Yasmina is starting to sound less sadistic." Ali said just as exhausted.
They continued walking as Darius stopped to regain his breath.
"You okay?" Brooklynn questioned as she tapped his back.
"Yea, just needed a second." Darius assured her as they kept going.
"Bruh, we've been walking for forever and it feels like we've gotten nowhere." Ali said in exasperation.
Sammy was about to reply until she felt a sudden gust of wind.
"That feels nice..." She trailed off as she looked down and noticed dust picking up below her.
She turned around in confusion before quickly gasping at the sight.
"Uh...guys?" Sammy questioned as they all turned around and gasped as well.
It was a giant sand storm, and it was heading straight for them, fast.
"A sand storm!?" Brooklynn shouted.
"What do we do?" Sammy questioned.
"We need to find cover!" Darius shouted.
"We always outran those pesky storms on Nublar! Run!" Ben shouted as they all saw no better option so they did just that.
The storm was coming fast though, even though they were all running as fast as they could it was closing the gap quickly.
"It's gaining!" Ali shouted as he panted heavily.
Sammy and Kenji screamed out as they got caught in the storm.
Ali realized the storm was catching up to Yasmina and himself.
He swiftly turned and hugged her to his chest.
"Hang on Yas! I got you!" He shouted as the trackstar held onto him tightly.
Ali then stuck the spear into the ground to ensure that they wouldn't get separated.
He then took the spear out of the ground as they eached grabbed onto it.
They stood up and began walking in order to find the others as they held onto the spear but blocked the incoming sand with their free hands.
"Guys!" Yasmina shouted out.
Ben was next to get caught in the storm as he coughed and sputtered.
Darius and Brooklynn were in the front as they kept trying to outrun the storm.
They got ahead but the storm still eventually caught them.
"Hello? Anyone there?" Kenji shouted as he walked hand in hand with Sammy.
"Where is everyone?" Darius shouted as he bumped into Brooklynn, he had lost her for a second.
Realization hit the superstar as she hugged him swiftly.
"Darius!" She shouted.
"Let's find the othe-ack!" Darius and Brooklynn both exclaimed as they fell down.
Yasmina and Ali were still in search of the others.
"Is that...Kenji?" Ali shouted as they ran up to him and Sammy.
"Guys!" Sammy shouted as she hugged them both.
"Woah!" Exclaimed the voice of Ben as he ran into them.
"And we have Ben, now where are Darius and Brooklynn?" Ali shouted.
"Darius! Brooklynn!" Ben shouted out as they began searching.
Little did they know, Brooklynn and Darius had been falling down a steep hill as they screamed out.
They were falling into a canyon of some sort.
Brooklynn landed with a loud thud as she groaned.
Darius came soon after as he landed on top of her with a yelp.
They both closed their eyes in pain, they failed to realize the position they were in.
As both teens open their eyes, Brooklynn was the first to notice the extremely awkward position they had landed in.
Brooklynn feels Darius hand around her right breast as her face immediately heated up.
To make matters worse, Darius' crotch was against hers as her legs were behind him.
Brooklynn knew if either of her dads was to find her in this position with a guy in her room, she'd be grounded until the end of time.
Darius soon after realized the predicament as he blushed as well.
The dino nerd quickly jumped off of the superstar as he accidentally squeezed her chest swiftly causing her to have to bite back an unpleasant noise from escaping her.
He then helped her stand as the blush still marred her face.
"Oh my God...Brooklynn I am so so sorry, I didn't mean-" Brooklynn cuts him off as she dusts herself off.
"It's fine Darius, it was just an accident." She reassured him as he sighed.
'Dang it, now she'll never like me...she probably thinks I'm a perv or something now.' Darius mentally cursed himself.
"Are you okay?" Brooklynn questioned him, which surprised him for a second.
She seemed to still care deeply about him even after he essentially just groped her.
"Y-Yea, what about you?" He questioned.
"I'm fine...now we have to find a way to get back up." Brooklynn said as they looked up and noticed the storm still raging on above.
They then ran to the rock wall and began shouting.
"Guys! Ali!" Brooklynn shouted.
"Kenji! Hello!" Darius shouted out.
They unfortunately got no response as they looked at eachother warily.
Others
The others however were still on upper level looking for them.
"Brooklynn! Darius!" Ben shouted into the storm.
"Guys!" Yasmina shouted as she came up beside him.
"Brooklynn?" Ali questioned as he noticed her jacket flapping in the wind.
He walked towards the jacket, albeit with struggle due to the storm pushing him back.
Ali got to the jacket as he grabbed it, only to realize it just the jacket...no Brooklynn.
He gasped as his eyes widened in fear for the pinkette.
"Brooklynn! Darius!" He shouted as he walked forward.
Suddenly he falls as he yelled out and began descending.
"Gotcha!" Yasmina shouted as she grabbed his arm and stops his tumble.
Yasmina then tried pulling Ali up but the storm was too strong as it made it difficult to use her strength alone.
She strained as she began getting pulled forward, Ali grunted as he gained a wary expression.
Sammy ran forward and grabbed the trackstar's waist, Kenji grabbed Sammy's hand and Ben grabbed Kenji's hand.
With all of their strength they pulled Ali to the top as they all breathed heavily.
"Thanks guys..." He trailed off as Yasmina hugged him.
She separated as she noticed Brooklynn's sweater in his hand.
They all gasped as Sammy took the sweater.
"It's her jacket..." Sammy said in a frightened tone.
"She must've fell down...let's hope she's with Darius and they're both okay." Ali stated.
"How are we gonna do that if we can't see shi..." Kenji cuts his question off as almost ironically the storm began dying down.
The area cleared of sand as the storm moved on.
Ali put the spear back over his shoulder as he smirked at Kenji.
"Thank God...thanks for blowing hot air Kenj, now let's go find our friends." Ali said as he began walking forward followed by the others.
Brooklynn and Darius
They were still yelling out for the others as they walked through the canyon.
"Sammy! Ali!" Darius yelled.
"Sammy! Yas! Anybody! Guys!" Brooklynn shouted as well.
"Be-ack!" Darius yelped as some dust fell into his eyes, he tried to rub the dust out.
Brooklynn turned swiftly as she ran over to him.
"Are you okay?" She questioned as she moved his hands.
"I got it-" Darius was cutoff as Brooklynn cupped his face.
She pulled his face close to hers as she inspected his eyes.
Darius quickly began getting lost in her green orbs.
'She's so...beautiful- gah! Stupid brain!" Darius mentally berated himself.
He swiftly pulled his face back and moved Brooklynn's hands away.
"I think it's um...it's gone." He said with a chuckle.
Brooklynn was puzzled by his antics but she shrugged it off and turned to walk away.
'Why is he acting so weird?' She mentally questioned.
Darius sighed and walked after the superstar.
"Ugh! What is this place?" Brooklynn questioned.
Unfortunately Darius was too distracted to give her an answer.
The dino nerd was never really into girls like that, no matter how much his brother pressured him to talk to them.
Girls in his neighborhood were all way too mean or stupid, and school was the same thing.
Brooklynn...no Brooklynn was different, she was pretty, smart, nice, and he couldn't help but stare at her sometimes.
Such as right now, as she walked in front of him, he admired her body as he quickly took interest in her biscuit butt.
'Argh! What is wrong with me? What are these thoughts? I need to get rid of them...besides Brooklynn is way too famous, why would she settle for a nerd like me?' Darius mentally questioned.
"Darius, Darius? Darius!" Brooklynn shouted as she brought the dino nerd out of his thoughts immediately.
"Oh! Um, what is it?" Darius questioned with a dopey face.
Brooklynn arched he brow slightly. "I said...do you hear that?" Brooklynn questioned as Darius began hearing the sound too.
"Yea...it sounds like, rushing water?" Darius suggested.
"But that doesn't make sense...we're in a desert, how would there be a system of water?" Darius questioned as they began looking around.
They then ran over to the wall and put their ears to it.
"Where do you think the water leads to?" Darius questioned.
"I don't know...wait, maybe they lead to a way out of here." Brooklynn said as she began walking.
Darius smiled at her as he followed.
He then thought about one of Brandon's, 'love tactics', compliments.
"Man...you're so like totz the smartest ever." Darius said in his best impression of what most teens sounded to him.
Brooklynn turned around as she laughed slightly as Darius began panicking.
"Totz the smartest?" Brooklynn repeated as Darius rubbed the back of his head.
"S-Sorry, I'll just be going over here, yea." Darius said awkwardly as he walked past Brooklynn and held his dead down.
Brooklynn smiled at him as she followed after him.
'Why did I even try...?' Darius mentally questioned.
Brooklynn suddenly bumped him as she gave him a side hug.
"It was nice, thank you Darius." She said as Darius lightened up a bit.
"But man...I wish anyone was down here to hear you say that." Brooklynn said as Darius was brought down once more.
"Well not Ali, he probably wouldn't have let you live it down." She said as they both chuckled.
Darius loved the sound of her laughter, it was like music to his ears as they continued walking.
Others
"Brooklynn!" Ben shouted.
Ali suddenly sneezed as they all turned to him.
"Gesundheit!" Kenji shouted as Ali walked over the others.
"Let's keep moving guys." He said as he led them forward.
"Ugh! Where are you guys?" Ben asked frantically.
"I hate to say it, but maybe we should stop for the night...?" Sammy questioned as they all stopped.
"No!" Ben shouted as the cowgirl flinched back into Kenji.
"We have to keep searching!" Ben shouted.
"We might find an opening in the canyon if we keep searc-" Ben cuts Yasmina off.
"There's no time for that!" He snapped.
Ali had to step in now as he pushed Ben back a bit.
"Ben! Calm down, the ground slopes down a little bit ahead, let's go around and see if we can find another way in." Ali suggested as Ben sighed but ultimately nodded.
"Well...let's go!" Kenji shouted as they began running.
Brooklynn and Darius
The two were now walking alongside the wall as they listened to the water.
Darius wasn't looking ahead of him as Brooklynn stopped suddenly.
He accidentally bumps into her back as she yelped.
"Oh! Sorry!" Dariu shouted, only for Brooklynn to gasp and run towards some rocks with a small opening in it.
"Look! I bet that's a way out!" The superstar shouted as she started hopping to get to the top.
Unfortunately she was not tall enough to reach the top.
"Darius! Come up here and give me a boost!" She shouted at the dino nerd who instantly gained a look of shock.
"Uhhh..." He said lamely, he did not know if he was ready to touch Brooklynn again after what happened earlier.
Brooklynn looked at him as he seemingly didn't hear her.
"Darius? Are you good?" She shouted as he scrambled.
"Wha- Yes! I am fine, be right there!" Darius exclaimed as Brooklynn frowned slightly.
"Darius!" She snapped as she then softened her gaze and offered him her hand.
Darius shakily did just that as she pulled him up.
He puts his hands on a rock for support...that was a huge mistake.
The rock crumbled immediately as he fell with a yelp and landed on his back with a thud.
"Darius!" Brooklynn shouted as she ran over to him and kneeled down
"I'm good!" Darius yelled as he sat up and looked at her.
The superstar then noticed something, his tumble had led to an opening in the rocks.
"What do ya know, the dino nerd saved the day again." Brooklynn said with a smirk.
"Um, I planned it that way." Darius said as he scratched the back of his head with a chuckle as Brooklynn rolled her eyes playfully.
"Yea right, let's go." Brooklynn said as she helped him up and they began exiting the canyon.
Others
The others made it to a...dead end.
Ben was the most devastated as he growled and ran at the wall and began punching it.
"No!" He shouted in anger as the others looked at him with wary expressions.
"Ben stop-" Yasmina cut herself off as Ben yelled again.
Ben kept on punching the wall as Ali walked up to him and grabbed his arm mid punch.
"It's all my fault...I..." Ben trailed off.
"Ben! Stop it! This is no one's fault, and we're going to find them." Ali reassured him as the jungle boy began crying.
"Find who?" Asked the voice of Darius as they all turned to the direction of it immediately with wide eyed expressions.
"Yea, we wanna be included in this manhunt." Brooklynn said as they walked up to the group.
"Darius!" Kenji shouted as he ran up to the dino nerd.
"Guys!" Ben shouted as he ran up as well and hugged them both.
"Yup, the dino nerd here apparently has dino strength as well, since he easily destroyed an entire boulder to free us." Brooklynn boasted playfully as she side hugged Darius.
"It was all according to plan." He quipped.
"Wait a minute, Darius quipping!? What happened in that canyon...?" Kenji questioned suspiciously as everyone chuckled.
"I believe this belongs to you Miss Superstar." Ali said as he handed Brooklynn her sweater.
"Why thank you, Mister Allstar." She responded playfully as they shared a small laugh.
Brooklynn then put her jacket on as she zipped it up.
"Oh! I almost forgot, we have something to show you guys." Darius said as he began running towards the pipes they heard.
Brooklynn ran after swiftly as the others had puzzled looks at first.
They all ran after the two teens after a small pause.
They all came upon the scene of Brooklynn and Darius smiling at them.
"Tada!" Brooklynn shouted as she revealed a small watering hole with water streaming into it.
The group cheered joyously as they ran towards the water and began drinking it in glee.
"I've never been so thirsty in my life." Sammy said blissfully.
"This is basically heaven on Earth right now." Ali said as he took another sip.
"You can say that again." Yasmina said after a sip.
"We heard water coursing through the canyon walls, someone had to have built this stuff." Darius said to them.
"Where are they now?" Yasmina questioned.
"Who would build a water system in the middle of nowhere?" Ali wondered aloud as well.
"No idea to both of those questions, but if we can find that shiny thing, maybe we can get some answers." Brooklynn informed them.
"Alright, we go to the shiny thing the-" Ali is cutoff as Ben gasps.
"Guys look!" He shouted as ran over to a bush with red berries.
"These are just like the berry bushes on Nublar! Same leaves and everything." Ben said as they all eagerly made their way over to the bush and began picking berries.
"Water and food? What is it? Our birthdays?" Sammy questioned as Kenji laughed maniacally and began downing the berries.
"Nah Sammy, we're just finally lucking up!" Ali said as he stuffed his face.
He then noticed Yasmina next to him doing the same.
They both look at eachother awkwardly before they suddenly burst into laughter.
Ben stopped chewing as he grew paranoid and watched his friends eat the berries happily.
He began having a small panick attack as he watched them eat the berries.
'What if they're not actually like the ones on Nublar?' The voice inside his head shouted as he spat the berries out.
"Don't eat them!" Ben shouted as he frantically ran around the group slapping the fruit out of each of their hands.
"What the hell is your issue?" Ali shouted as Ben slapped the berries out of his hand.
"Stop eating the berries! They could be dangerous!" Ben shouted as went over to Kenji and began trying to get the rich boy to spit them out.
"I'm sorry, the guy who had no problem eating live worms...has an issue with us eating berries that we know are safe to eat?" Ali questioned him as the jungle boy pried Kenji's mouth open.
"What if I only think they're like the ones on Nublar? But they're really poisonus?" Ben questioned as he got Kenji to spit them out.
"Ben, it's literally the same bush, the berries are safe-" Sammy was cutoff by Ben.
"How do you know that for sure, hm?" Ben questioned her as everyone deadpanned.
"Yea, because it's not like she grew up on a farm and knows more about plants than any of us here or anything." Ali said as he crossed his arms and rolled his eyes.
"B-But, I could've been wrong...one of you coulda got hurt or...worse." Ben said shakily as everyone's gaze softened at him.
"Okay...okay, everything will be fine once we find that shiny thing." Ben said to himself.
"Ben...do you need to talk?" Ali questioned in concern.
"No...I just wanna get to the shiny thing." He repeated.
"Okay...well it can't be too far now, let's try to find it before the Sun goes down." Darius said to the group.
"Great, that gives us about ten seconds." Yasmina said in annoyance.
And almost on que, the Sun was seemingly descending faster.
Ben noticed this as he began getting frantic again.
"Come on guys! We gotta move!" He exclaimed as they all began running in the direction of the metallic thing.
"There it is!" Sammy shouted as they all now stood in front of it.
To say it was a let down was an understatement, it was simply a metal sheet in the ground.
"We went through all of that...for this?" Ali questioned in concern.
"M-Maybe's there's more!" Ben shouted desperately as he ran and began searching for something to help.
Darius and Brooklynn both kneeled down as they inspected the object.
Ali walked a bit away from the group as he gasped in shock.
He had noticed a giant pile of bones on the floor.
"Guys...I don't mean to alarm yall or anything but there is a giant pile of animal bones over here." He said to them as Kenji and Yasmina walked over to him with wary gazes.
"Whatever it was, could have died of natural causes..." Yasmina trailed off as Ali and Kenji look at her with frantic expressions.
"Right...not exactly a better option." Yasmina said sheepishly.
"No people...no help, just...questions." Ben said in exasperation as his voice hitched.
He then laid flat on his back and covered his face in anguish.
The others all stood around Ben as they all wore expressions of defeat.
What could they possibly hope to do now?
Night
The campers all sat around a fire as the stars shimmered over head.
They were all still very deflated, their spirits were definitely broken.
Ali looked up at the sky. 'Despite our situation, the stars are beautiful tonight.' Ali mentally stated as he looked to his left where Yasmina's head rested on his shoulder.
The pain in her face instantly reminded him of the dire situation they were in right now.
Suddenly Sammy got up with a grunt drawing everyone's attention.
They all looked at her in curiosity as she stared at the sky.
The cowgirl then let out a loud guttural cry as they all stared at her in utter confusion.
Kenji then stood up after as he let out a loud scream of his own.
The others questioned it at first but they soon after got up and let out screams of their own before they all locked hands.
Ben was the only one still seated as he watched the others scream into the wind.
Sammy grabbed his arm and brought him to his feet, Ben still did not join in the screaming.
All of the pent of stress, anger, and frustration was being let out with the screams.
Later
After all of the screaming, the camp fam eventually tired themselves out.
Brooklynn and Darius cuddled as she rested her head on his chest.
Yasmina slept as Ali held her in his arms.
Ben was in the middle having a hard time sleeping due to his paranoia.
Kenji couldn't sleep since he was still thinking about what Sammy said on the boat.
The rich boy suddenly jumps as he heard a gasp and turned to see Ali wake up with a start.
The allstar breathed heavily as Kenji watched him slowly calm down.
Ali then checked on Yasmina, thankfully she was a heavy sleeper so he didn't wake her.
"Are you okay?" Kenji suddenly asked causing Ali's head to snap to him quickly.
He sighed before answering. "Yea, nightmares are nothing compared to being shot...why are you up Kenj?" Ali questioned him as it was Kenji's turn to sigh.
"We should probably go talk over there so we don't wake anyone." Kenji said as he got up.
"Good idea." Ali agreed as he carefully got up to ensure that he didn't wake Yasmina up.
The two boys then made it a safe distance from the others.
"So what's up with you?" Ali questioned him.
"Well...Sammy told me something about her dad earlier and it's really been eating at me, and you're usually good with stuff like this so...what do you think it means to be a man?" Kenji questioned Ali as the allstar was taken back for a second.
The great and prideful Kenji...was being openly vulnerable.
"Well Kenji, there is no one true definition of being a man, that all comes from within here." Ali said as he pointed at Kenji's heart.
"My personal definition of being a man...is taking risks for those you love, being ready to do anything to protect those you care for." Ali said as Kenji took in the information.
Before the conversation could continue they heard a loud roar come from the direction of the group as they immediately looked in that direction.
The two boys ran to the group as they noticed the others standing defensively.
As they came upon the scene they noticed Ben standing in front of the threat with a torch.
It was a large Sabertooth Tiger.
"Hey! Toothy! Over here!" Ben shouted as he waved the torch, effectively gaining the beast's attention.
"Ben! No!" Sammy shouted.
The jungle boy then began running as the tiger gave chase.
Ali and Kenji suddenly ran up to the group as they watched the chase frantically.
Kenji ran after Ben immediately as Ali picked up the spear and chased after them both.
The others ran behind them to ensure that they were all safe.
As Ben ran away from the tiger he trips and falls down into the canyon.
The beast lunged after him as they both landed in the canyon with loud thuds.
Ben began getting up as he noticed the beast growling at him.
"Woah!" He exclaimed as he evaded the lunging tiger.
Ben then ran forward with a scream as the beast gave chase.
His luck unfortunately ran out as he came upon a dead end.
Ben then tried climbing the wall, but it was futile due to the wall being too steep.
The tiger then appeared on the scene as it cornered him.
Ben decided to try and stand his ground as he waved the fire around effectively keeping the cat back.
But luck was not on Ben's side on this night, the torch's fire went out.
He then laughed shakily as the tiger growled and realized he was defenseless.
The beast then began advancing Ben with a loud roar as it prepared to finish him.
On the upper level, Kenji sped ahead, he had to save Ben.
'Take risks.' Was the phrase that rang in his head.
"Kenji!" Sammy yelled in concern for her beloved.
Kenji then leaped off of the ledge as he dove at the tiger with a loud cry and began wrestling with it as the beast roared loudly.
The others gasped as they came to the edge and noticed a huge dust cloud.
"Kenji!" Ben shouted in fear.
"Ben! Get out of here!" Kenji shouted as he tried to stay on the tiger's back whilst it bucked wildly causing more dust to pick up.
Kenji suddenly leaped off of it as he ran towards Ben.
"Run! Run!" Kenji shouted as they began running away from the animal.
The sabertooth roared angrily as it began chasing them.
Ali was still on the upper level as he began running along it to keep up with them.
"Wait Ali!" Yasmina shouted as they all ran after the allstar.
"Now what?" Ben questioned as he and Kenji ran for their lives.
"I didn't really plan much after getting past the teeth end of that thing!" Kenji shouted back.
They suddenly gasp as they heard the tiger roar as it gained on them.
As the two boys ran Ben tripped with a loud yell.
"Ben!" Kenji shouted as he ran over to him.
He unfortunately could not help him up because the tiger was now right in front of them as it growled.
Kenji then glared at the beast as he defended Ben.
"Hey! If you're gonna finish him you're gonna have to go through me!" He shouted as the tiger roared at him and raised it's paws to swipe at him.
'This is it huh? Atleast I went out like a man.' Kenji said as he closed his eyes.
"No!" Ben shouted.
Ali was still running on the upper level and noticed what was happening.
His fear of heights was not about to stop him as he ran and leaped towards the Sabertooth with the spear raised above his head.
The beast swiped at Kenji's chest, causing him to yelp out.
"Ahh!" Ali shouted as he plunged the weapon into the Sabertooth's neck, it almost instantly died due to being struck in the jugular.
Ali tumbled into the wall as he groaned from the impact of his back against it.
The tiger's deceased body fell onto Kenji, effectively smothering him.
Ben was in shock, he didn't even get to process what happened because of how fast it happened.
Ali instantly got up and ran over to the dead tiger as he began pushing it to get to Kenji.
"Help me Ben!" He shouted frantically as Ben finally got up and began helping.
"No! No! Kenji come on man." Ali said as they finally got Kenji out.
Ben gasped at the sight of the three claw marks on Kenji's chest.
The others came upon the scene as Ali held Kenji's seemingly lifeless form in his arms, they all wore weary expressions as Darius fell to his knees in devastation.
Yasmina began grasping her head as she breathed heavily.
Brooklynn was basically frozen in place.
Sammy gasped and looked away as tears began flowing immediately, this could not be happening.
"Kenji! You can't go out like this dude...we didn't survive Nublar for this to happen." The allstar said sincerely.
"All I did was...give you a hard time and call you stupid, I'm so sorry...I didn't even get to tell you how much I love you...you're like a real brother to me." Ali confessed as his breath hitched and he shut his eyes tightly.
Everyone closed their eyes as well, this had to be a nightmare.
"And...what else?" Asked the voice of Kenji as they all gasped and looked at him.
They noticed him smirking at Ali.
"Kenji!" They all simultaneously yelled in glee.
"Wha- you were awake this entire time?" Ali shouted.
"Yup...you said you loved me." Kenji teased Ali as the allstar rolled his eyes.
"Yea, yea, just get up." Ali said as stood up and helped his friend up.
"I love you too bro." Kenji said before he was suddenly hugged tightly by none other than his girlfriend.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again! What were you thinking?" She shouted at him.
"Yea, that was really reckless of you Kenji, shame on you." Ali said as he walked over to Yasmina who deadpanned at him.
"You're not off the hook either, don't think we missed that little attempt at human flight." Yasmina said as he groaned.
"I-I just wanted to be manly for you." Kenji said to Sammy as the cowgirl's eyes widened.
"Kenji...if this is about what I said earlier, I'm sorry, but I told you, I don't care what my papa says, I love you Kenji." Sammy said as she kissed him deeply.
"Woohoo!" Darius whooped as they all cheered.
Ali then realized something. "Oh, sorry by the way Darius, I know how you feel about killing animals." Ali apologized.
"It's...okay, you did it to protect a friend, not for fun." Darius said as they nodded at eachother.
They both then noticed Ben was standing dejectedly to himself as they advanced him.
"Ben...are you alright?" Darius questioned.
"I worked so hard to not be scared Ben anymore...but the minute we leave Nublar I'm right back to square one, freaking out about the berries, freaking out about the tiger-" Ali cuts Ben off.
"That's just you being human Ben...we're all freaking out right now, we're in a new environment with no protection or means to go home, you're not the only one freaking out I promise you, you don't have to carry the burden all on your own." Ali said as they looked at eachother sincerely.
"And I wouldn't call you scared to be honest, you willingly jumped into a cave with a tiger...if that's scared then what Ali did must be absolutely terrified." Yasmina said as the others walked up to them.
"Well that last part was unnecessary but she's right, you're basically a hero Ben." Ali said with a shrug.
"Tch! The Sabertooth had nothing on you Ben." Kenji said smugly.
Ben looked at them all in realization, maybe he wasn't so scared at all.
"You may not be fearless island Ben, but you're not scared island Ben either, maybe now you're finally just...Ben." Darius said as Ben thought it over.
He chuckled and then smiled at them all.
"It does have a nice ring to it." Ben said as Kenji half hugged him.
"And I'm just Kenji, the brave manly man with brand new chest scars." Kenji declared proudly.
"Andddd Kenji's back to normal." Yasmina said as they all began laughing.
"So...what do we do now?" Brooklynn questioned them.
"We do what we always do stick together and never give up." Ali said as he formed a fist.
"And watch out for Sabertooth Tigers, freak sandstorms, and whatever the heck else this place has in store for us." Darius listed off.
"Atleast...we have eachother." Ben said.
"That's the best atleast yet." Sammy said as she hugged Kenji.
"Couldn't have said it any better." Ali said as he held Yasmina's hand.
The group then began walking back to their camp.
"Aren't you gonna get your spear?" Yasmina asked Ali as the allstar looked at the dead tiger with the spear sticking out of it's neck.
"Nah, I'll let the kitty keep it." He said as they laughed and continued walking.
Morning
The group trekked through the desert as they looked for more clues to help them figure out a way out of here.
"Ugh! It's too quiet!" Kenji shouted.
"Why are you ruining it then?" Ali questioned him.
"Kenj...be careful with those scars, we don't want them to get infected." Sammy said to Kenji as he nodded.
"I'll be fin-ack!" Kenji yelped as he was tripped by a metal object.
He fell to the ground as Sammy immediately kneeled down.
"Kenji!" She shouted as he hissed in pain.
"Are you okay?" Sammy questioned him.
The others were drawn to this as they walked over to them.
"What the hell is this?" Ali questioned as he cleared some dust off of it, to reveal the white paint.
"Footprints?" Yasmina questioned as they noticed foot like prints in the dirt.
They all ran in the direction that the footprints were leading them.
Kenji was the first to the end of the footprints as he was confused.
"They just en-ack!" Kenji exclaimed as he seemingly collided with the air as he fell to the ground.
The others ran over to him and helped him up.
"Kenji? Are you okay?" Ben questioned.
"What the hell was that?" Ali questioned as he walked up to the invisible force.
He tapped it as a tiny transparent square appeared for a second, this confused them all.
Brooklynn ran up beside him as she pressed the wall even harder.
Suddenly an invisible door moved away as Brooklynn flinched back, Ali stood in front of her defensively.
They both relaxed as they noticed the door only led to an empty hallway.
The others walked up behind them as they were all confused.
Lights suddenly came on, aiding their sight of the room.
"This place is getting weirder by the minute..." Ali trailed off.
