Outside Kash's facility
Kenji, Yasmina, Ben and Sammy sat in the bushes as they all frantically watched the battle between Pierce and Big Eatie which should have been stopped by now.
Suddenly footsteps were heard as they noticed Brooklynn and Ali run up to join them.
"What's going on? Why isn't Darius stopping this?" Sammy questioned aloud as the fight raged on.
"There was a lot of BRADs where we were..." Brooklynn trailed off.
"We got distracted and lost sight of Kash..." Ali continued for her.
"That means he could be in there with Darius..." Sammy stated as everyone looked at the facility in shock.
Ali grit his teeth, the possibility of that being the truth was fairly high...and if Sammy's theory was true...this would all be his fault.
"Damn!" Ali exclaimed as he got up swiftly and walked away from the group.
"Ali-" Yasmina is cutoff by Brooklynn as she noticed the pinkette shaking her head at her.
"Give him some space right now...he needs it." Brooklynn informed her as Yasmina nodded and they turned back to the facility.
Brooklynn for one wasn't as calm as she seemed, her heart was racing and she was fuming from the inside.
She, much like Ali, believed this was her fault.
'He wouldn't be captured if it wasn't for me...what is wrong with me?' Brooklynn questioned herself as they continued eying the facility warily.
No one knew what to do, usually these type of split second decisions would be handled by Darius or Ali...but that obviously wouldn't be the case now.
Darius
Darius stared at the brunette before him as his breaths were ragged...his heart was racing, how would he be able to explain himself?
"Start talking." Kash demanded with no room for debate or games.
Darius still did not answer as he was still too frantic to speak.
"Who are you?" Kash shouted even louder this time.
The dino-nerd then seemingly thought something over before his face lit up.
"I'm...the luckiest guy alive! Another human! Finally I'm saved!" Darius exclaimed as he drew Kash into a hug.
Kash was most definitely taken back to say the least, how did this kid even get on the island?
"Okay...easy! Just back it up kid! And answer my questions! Who are you? And how did you get on my island?" Kash questioned once more as Darius backed away.
"My name is Darius Bowman, my boat was destroyed and...I washed up here, and, I came from...Isla Nublar." Darius revealed as Kash's eyes almost popped out of his head at the mention of Jurassic World.
Outside
The others were still watching as the two titans clashed, ripping eachother apart with every second passed.
"What can we do? Big Eatie and Pierce are gonna kill eachother!" Sammy exclaimed in fear.
The others looked around frantically as they tried desperately to think of something to get them to stop.
It was no luck, there was no way to help the dinos without access to Kash's computer.
Suddenly a loud grunt draws their attention as a rock is thrown over their heads.
The rock connects with one of the drones that was flying low enough as the drone was dispatched with ease.
They turned to the direction the rock came from as Ali stood before them with more rocks in hand.
"If we can't take these drones down the fancy way, we're doing this the old fashioned way." He declared as everyone smirked at him.
"Yes! I get to destroy things!" Ben exclaimed.
"Let's do this!" Kenji shouted after.
"Okay, everyone grab as many rocks as you can find, we're gonna take down every drone we see." Brooklynn declared as everyone spread out to do just that.
After destroying all of the more lower drones, the campers regrouped.
"Okay, we got all of the low fliers, the only problem now is those guys." Yasmina stated as she pointed to the drones that were as high as the trees.
"How are we gonna get to them?" Sammy questioned as they all looked at the trees.
"I have a good guess." Brooklynn stated.
There were only four drones that were high up, once those were destroyed, Pierce and Big Eatie would be allowed to separate.
Ben climbed to the top of one tree with a stick as he aimed it like a javelin.
"Just like Toro..." He stated as he reared back.
Ben then threw the spear with precision as it pierced the drone easily dispatching it.
"Yes!" He shouted.
He then looked over at Sammy and Kenji who smiled at him, they had just smashed their respective drone with a branch.
Brooklynn carefully climbed her tree as she eyed the drone she was targeting.
"Woah!" She exclaimed as she almost slipped.
"Come on...come on." She said to herself as she swung the drone.
Unfortunately it moved right as she swung.
"I'm not messing up twice in one day." She said to herself as she prepared to try again.
As the drone was once again within striking distance Brooklynn swung with all her might as she completely broke it in two.
Brooklynn despite herself, let out a small smile at the victory.
Yasmina and Ali were next as they prepared to offline the final drone.
"Be careful Yas..." Ali trailed off as the trackstar was seated on a rather thin branch.
She concentrated as the drone came closer without noticing her there.
And with a powerul swing, Yasmina swiftly offlined the drone.
She lets out a small chuckle of victory...as did everyone else minus Ali, it was finally over- crack!
Both Yasmina and Ali went silent as they noticed the branch she was seated on crack.
"Yas-" Ali was cutoff as the branch completely snapped and the trackstar began falling out of the extremely tall tree.
Everyone gasped in fear when Yasmina fell, everything was happening too swiftly.
Ali without even thinking grabs onto a vine that was beside him as he swiftly swung down it, his hand getting burned by the friction in the process.
Yasmina cried out as she fell through the air, she knew she was plummeting to what was sure to be her death...and this time there would be no way out of it.
Suddenly she was broken out of her thoughts as she felt a body slam into hers and felt a familiar arm wrap around her.
"I got you!" Ali shouted as Yasmina turned to him.
The allstar then settled on the vine with a few ragged breaths as he held Yasmina in his arm...the vine swaying ever so slightly.
"Are you okay...?" Ali questioned as he held onto the vine with one hand.
Yasmina couldn't even find an answer to give him...was she okay? She was alive but...her body was still processing what happened.
She thought that was it...that would finally be the end of everything, but there came Ali as always...never afraid to risk his own body or life to save hers.
"Woo!" Ben cheered as their attention was brought to their friends who were still in the trees watching them.
"Dude! You are amazing!" Kenji shouted as the cheering continued.
Eventually everyone regrouped on the ground as they noticed Pierce and Big Eatie had finally gone their separate ways...the bloody battle was finally over.
So much just happened in the span of 20 minutes...a bloody dinosaur fight, Darius got captured, Yasmina almost lost her life...but atleast the end of the battle was a good outcome.
They could not celebrate however, as they heard the whirring of more drones.
They all looked up in shock to see the drones as they surrounded Pierce and Big Eatie again.
Were they going to fight again? No...Kash was only using the drones to direct them towards some sort of platforms.
"What the hell is he doing?" Brooklynn questioned aloud as the drones then knocked the two dinosaurs out on the platforms.
"Well...atleast he's not making them fight anymore." Ben pointed out.
"But...why?" Ali questioned, this didn't seem like something any of them would ever expect.
And did Kash realize them destroying his drones? Or he probably just thinks they malfunctioned on their own, he seemed gullible enough to believe that.
None of these questions mattered now though as they watched the doors to the facility open to reveal Darius standing next to Kash.
The two then began walking as they were accompanied by BRADs.
"What the..." Kenji trailed off, none of them understood why Darius seemed so comfortable next to the man.
Then it hit them, he was pretending!
"Well atleast he's alive." Sammy said softly.
"For now..." Yasmina trailed off as the group followed Darius and Kash, still ensuring they were hidden by the bushes.
They noticed Darius and Kash walk onto Big Eatie's platform as the dinosaur slept.
"Ever been this close to one of these things?" Kash questioned Darius as he stepped on the Rex's face.
"Oh boy, you have no idea." Kenji whispered as Brooklynn shushed him.
"Even closer, and when I was by myself on Nublar, I didn't have killer robots to knock them out for me." Darius said with a shrug.
"Take us to the med bay..." Kash said through gritted teeth.
As he said that the platform began sinking into the ground.
"No...where is he taking Darius? Mae might know where they went, come on!" Brooklynn exclaimed as they all got up and ran back to the cave.
Cave
All of the campers minus Ali sat around Mae as they informed her of what happened.
The allstar was too busy in the back of the cave by himself berating himself.
He looked down at his left palm with a sour expression, sliding down the vine peeled some of the skin in his palm off.
'Great, both of my hands have injuries now to signify my failures.' Ali mentally stated.
'Why did they even trust me?' He mentally questioned as he closed his eyes in anguish.
'I told you it would happen...' A voice said as Ali snapped towards it.
No it couldn't be...it was the same version of himself from before...those blacked out eyes were a dead giveaway.
'I told you, you would realize soon enough, you are more of a burden than a help to those around you, why do you keep trying to fight it?' Evil Ali questioned.
'Shutup! How are you even here? I got rid of you...' Ali declared.
'Don't make me laugh...I am your conscience, you could never get rid of me...you got one of your best friends captured today, you almost got the girl you claim you love the most killed today, tch, some leader you are, look at them over there..." Evil Ali directed Ali's attention to the Camp fam and Mae.
'They're probably thinking of a way to get rid of you...tch, I know I would be.' He continued as Ali grit his teeth at him.
'They wouldn't do that.' He denied.
'If you say so Ali Barlett...Barlett...Barlett...Barlett." Ali was confused as to why the evil being was repeating his last name.
"Barlett!" Brooklynn's voice shouted as Ali was woken up by it with a start.
It would appear he was simply having a bad dream...or another reality check.
"You okay, G?" Brooklynn questioned as she waved her hand in front of his face.
Ali was seemingly still stuck in a stupor of sorts.
"Yea...I'm good." He said dryly as Brooklynn arched a brow at him.
"Are you sure? You kind-" Brooklynn is cutoff as Ali frowned at her slightly.
"I said I'm okay, damn! I'm tryna just forget the shit! Leave it! Leave it! It's done!" He snapped as Brooklynn almost jumped back.
She watched as he breathed heavily due to the stress he was evidently expelling.
Ali then placed his back against the wall with a loud sigh.
"Ali?" Brooklynn questioned meekly as the allstar refused to look at her.
"Come on...just tell me what's wrong, if you talk about it you'll feel better." She tried to reason with the boy, he sighed.
"Brooklynn...why do you guys trust me so much?" Ali questioned Brooklynn as she once more arched a brow.
"What do you mean?" The pinkette questioned.
"Every since you guys decided to trust me with your lives...it went wrong, I...I don't know why you guys ever looked to me as a protector...if I didn't mess up today, Darius would be with us right no-" Brooklynn cuts Ali off.
"So that's what this is about..." She stated in realization.
"It's not just that Broo-" Ali is oncr more cut off.
"Stop it! Why do you keep acting like everything has to be on you? What happened today was my fault too, why should you have to take all the blame? Everyone makes mistakes Ali...but you can't just act like everything good you've ever done never happened...you just saved Yasmina's life for-" Ali cuts Brooklynn off.
"I was the one who put her in that predicament! It doesn't cut if you're the reason something happens, Brooklynn." Ali stated as he looked at his hand again.
"So what? You make a few mistakes as a human being and you're just gonna give up? That isn't the Ali I know." Brooklynn said as she folded her arms.
"You don't know me at all." Ali said coldly as Brooklynn's eyes widened slightly, that one hurt a little.
Brooklynn couldn't believe it, the same guy she'd grown to see as a big brother...pushing her away as if she didn't matter.
"Okay Ali, since I don't know you, tell me what the problem is, why are you so afraid to mess up? Why are you scared to fail us?" Brooklynn questioned the allstar.
Ali looked at her with a vexed expression.
"Get out of my face Brooklynn..." He trailed off as he tried to push past her.
That was the straw that broke the camel's back.
Brooklynn was tired of his arrogant attitude and blatant disregard for her feelings.
The pinkette didn't know where she had garnered the strength from but her body swiftly moved as she grabbed Ali by his shoulders.
"Stop talking to me like that!" She shouted as she somehow slammed the much larger boy back against the cave wall.
Ali was caught off guard to say the least...his once stoic expression was one of shock now, he had never seen such strength from Brooklynn...let alone the anger in her forest colored eyes.
He was fortunate that this cave was deep, the others would've heard them shouting by now and have came to investigate.
It would be very difficult to explain why he was against the wall and why Brooklynn was holding him there.
"You know why I always ask you for your opinion or help with something, Ali?" Brooklynn's voice brought him out of his thoughts.
"You never gave up...you never acted like a prick...you never tried to be someone you weren't, you were genuine from the start, and you always knew how to make everyone feel better in tough situations, why do you think Yas loves you so much?" Brooklynn questioned Ali as he looked down slightly.
"I always ask you things because I want to be like you! My real brother never gave me anything to look up to...but you did, you're a great person!" She continued shouting at him.
"But that's not the same Ali I'm looking at right now...no, you're not him, and-" Brooklynn is cutoff as Ali looks up at her again.
"Well sometimes people change Brooklynn, you should've never looked up to me, that was the stupidest thing you coulda ever did in your life." Ali said with his gaze remaining as cold was it was before.
Brooklynn's eyes once again widened as tears began welling in them.
"You know..." Brooklynn trailed off as she backed away from him.
"You're an ass." She finished as she turned swiftly on her heels and began walking back to the others.
Ali watched as she walked angrily, every step her shoulders seemed to slump more and more.
He wanted to call out to her, even with anger Ali knew deep down he hated seeing Brooklynn like that...but he couldn't bring himself to call her name after what he just did.
"Damn." Was all he could say to himself as he laid his head back onto the wall.
A little while later
Brooklynn had came back to the group as she stood besides Yasmina with a grown marring her face.
Everyone else noticed it as well, but they couldn't question it.
They were too focused on Ali who had finally arrived on the scene.
"Ali!" Sammy exclaimed as she ran over to him and hugged him.
He returned it with a feigned chuckle as his girlfriend walked up to him.
"You okay?" Yasmina questioned as she held his bruised hand.
"Yea, as long as your alive, a little burn ain't gon stop me." Ali said as he pulled Yasmina in for a half hug.
"Took you guys long enough, now let's work on the plan!" Kenji exclaimed.
"Alright, how are we gonna do this?" Ben questioned as everyone began giving their own opinions.
Everyone except a certain dreadhead and a certain pinkette.
Brooklynn was too busy frowning to herself and Ali was too busy eying her...thinking about the words he said to her.
Later
After taking a second to let Mae recuperate, who had dozed off a bit due to fatigue from her injuries.
The camp fam stood in front of the doctor as she sighed in frustration.
"I'm sorry...this is all so hard to take on, it's just...Big Eatie's already been through so much, I practically raised Pierce and Darius is STUCK with that monster." Mae complained in exasperation.
Ali's fist clenched slightly at the mention of Darius' predicament, he still couldn't help but feel like this was all his fault.
"I get it...believe me." Ben began speaking to Mae, thankfully drawing Ali from his thoughts.
"But they're tough okay? They'll get through this." Ben assured Mae as she reached for her tablet.
"There's an underground medbay, I didn't have access...probably because Kash is doing horrible things he didn't want me to know about." Mae began as she checked the device.
"And on top of everything else...now he has my research, how could I have been so naive?" Mae questioned herself in disgust.
"Mae...you shou-" Ali is cutoff by Brooklynn, rudely.
"We need another way to get in." Brooklynn said in an unusually stern tone, the others were confused by it to say the least but they chose not to question it.
Moreover, everyone was confused as to why she cut Ali off, she almost never did that.
"Right, any of the feeding platforms can get you to the lower level, the next feeding is in the desert." Mae revealed as everyone's eyes widened.
"With the Sabertooth Tiger...?" Ben questioned.
"So not...not dangerous?" Yasmina questioned with a shake of her hand.
"That's cool, Ali could just do what he did last ti-oof!" Kenji is cutoff as Sammy elbows him and shushes him.
He looks at the other camp fam members as they deadpanned him, he then looked to Mae who had an arched brow.
"Enough distractions already!" Brooklynn shouted as everyone turned to her in disbelief.
"We go get Darius, no matter how dangerous it is...I'm not giving up." The pinkette said bitingly as she sent a knowing look Ali's way.
Even though the allstar was a bit ticked off at her for the small callout, he couldn't disagree with her, Darius' life was on the line, they had to save him.
"Brooklynn's right, we have to go save Darius, come on." Sammy said as she put her hand out.
Everyone minus Ali put their hands in, he was looking at his hand again.
"Ali?" The allstar heard his girlfriend call out to him as he looked at them.
"Come on G." Kenji said as Ali thought it over.
He then nodded as he hardened his glare slightly.
"Right...any means necessary to save Darius." Ali said as he placed his hand in.
They broke the hand seal as everyone began leaving Mae calls out to them.
"Good luck kids, please come back safely, and Ali..." She said as the allstar stopped and faced her.
"I can tell you and Brooklynn have a strong connection...but it's different from your connection with Yasmina...you love both of them deeply but in separate ways...whatever is going on between the two of you won't end well if you guys don't talk..." Mae trailed off, Ali was shocked to say the least, why was this lady so good with reading people?
"Promise you guys will talk?" She questioned him.
"I...I promise, get some rest Mae." Ali said as Mae smiled at him.
With that, he turned and left to join the others.
Later
The camp fam traversed through the desert as the heat was practically melting them alive.
Ali and Brooklynn were the only ones not complaining about the heat, they were far too determined to save Darius to care.
Yasmina walked alongside her boyfriend as she noticed Brooklynn walking up ahead...which was weird to see her purposely walking in front of Ali.
'Something happened in the back of that cave...' Yasmina mentally stated as she chose to store the thought in the back of her mind.
"Guys...I know we're in a desert but it feels like it got way hotter all of a sudden." Sammy said as she breathed heavily.
"It's hotter because we weren't out here at noon last time." Ali said dryly.
"Besides, you should be more used to this heat, Texas cowgirl!" Kenji explained as he laughed and bumped Ali, who most certainly did not return the energy.
"Hey, you're supposed to be the funny sarcastic one here." Kenji said as Ali still paid him no mind.
After that, an awkward silence befalled onto the group.
"So...how do we get on to the Sabertooth's feeding platform without becoming desert?" Yasmina questioned to break the silence.
"We're going to do this quick, we can't afford to waste time." Ali began as he seemingly was ready to make another point.
"We have to time this just right, soon as the tiger eats and leaves, we jump on the platform before it goes back down." Brooklynn said acerbically as Ali glared at her slightly.
'She has one more time doing that...' Ali mentally stated as he clenched his teeth.
The others noticed the tension brewing between the two, what the hell happened in the cave?
"What the hell?" Ali questioned as they all stopped and got out of their own heads.
Everyone noticed a large figure walking towards them, the sun's rays were blocking it.
As the being's loud stomps got closer it became clear what it was.
Everyone gasped in fear as the beast growled.
"A Spinosaurus..." Ali trailed off, this was a common dinosaur so he knew what it was and how dangerous the giant was as well.
"Run!" Ben shouted as they all turned and ran with screams.
The Spinosaurus lets out a loud blood curdling roar as it chased the campers through the desert.
"We need to find a way to shake him!" Brooklynn shouted.
"No! We can't outrun a 50 foot iguana! There!" Ali shouted as he gestured towards a small slit in one of the rock formations ahead.
"Come on!" Yasmina shouted as they sped up towards the slit.
Ali stood at the beginning of the slit as the others began squeezing through it.
"Go! Go!" He shouted as Brooklynn was the last one.
The pinkette stumbles slightly as Ali swiftly caught her by the shoulders and ushered her through the slit.
With a gasp the allstar leaps through the slit, avoiding the Spinosaurus who had lunged at the spot he was just in.
The beast shook the rock formation as it relentlessly tried to get to the camp fam.
They all watched as it roared angrily and clawed at the rocks.
"Let's go!" Kenji shouted as they ran through the canyon, the same one Darius and Brooklynn got lost in.
"It can't get to us in here...right?" Sammy questioned as she grabbed Kenji's arm.
"It definitely can't get through the entrance, it's too big." Kenji reassured her as they walked cautiously through the canyon.
"Hey...thanks for that save back there." Brooklynn said to Ali dryly as they walked a little bit ahead of the others.
The allstar was taken back a bit...Brooklynn had underminded everything he did as of late but she was actually thanking him with a small smile too.
For the first time that day, Ali himself let out a smile too, maybe his relationship with Brooklynn wasn't completely lost just yet, but he knew it could never be that easy, he still had to apologize.
"Don't mention it...hey Brooklynn, can we talk ab-" Ali was cutoff by a loud growl as the entire group was startled.
They all stared with wide eyes as they were face to face with a Sabertooth tiger, who snarled at them.
"Oh no..." Yasmina said as she got closer to Ali who instinctively held her arm.
"This guy seems...bigger than the other one." Kenji pointed out as he clutched his chest a bit.
"And...a whole lot angrier." Ben added.
"Run!" Yasmina shouted as they turned and began running away, the Sabertooth ofcourse giving chase.
As the camp fam ran with all their might to escape the beast they were absolutely devastated when they ran straight into a dead end.
"No..." Yasmina choked out.
"What are we gonna do now...?" Kenji questioned the entire group.
Unfortunately there was no time to ponder this, the Sabertooth's loud growl drew their attention once more.
The tiger charges at them as they all gasped.
Brooklynn who was in front of the group backed up slightly.
Ali then stepped in front of her with his arms outstretched as everyone's eyes widened.
He was willing to put his own life on the line for Brooklynn...and them all.
"No!" Everyone minus Ali shouted as the beast lunged at them.
Almost as if by the grace of God, the Spinosaurus bursted through one of the rock formations directly intercepting the tiger's lunge.
Ali, who had closed his eyes tightly, had expected to be mauled right now, but when he opened them to see the Spinosaurus dragging the dead Sabertooth away he was shocked to say the least.
"What...?" Brooklynn questioned in disbelief as the entire camp fam breathed heavily.
"Man...those Sabertooth's cannot catch a break-" Kenji is cutoff as the Spinosaurus lunges through the hole he made with a loud roar causing them to jump in fear.
"Go around!" Brooklynn shouted as she took lead of the group.
She grabbed Ali's hand as the rest of the camp fam linked hands as well and formed a chain.
"Come on!" The pinkette shouted as they moved slowly along the wall to get away from the crazed dinosaur.
As they finally got away Brooklynn was still in front as they finally were running a safe distance into the desert away from the Spinosaurus.
"Did we really just do that?" Yasmina questioned as the entire group's morale was boosted.
"Uh, yea? Brooklynn and Ali are awesome!" Kenji shouted as everyone minus the former two cheered.
"Come on guys! We gotta get to the platform!" Brooklynn shouted as they all sped up.
As they came upon the platform they noticed it was already going down.
"No!" Brooklynn shouted as they ran up to it.
Ali stopped everyone as the camp fam stopped and looked down at the depth of the tunnel it went in to.
"The next one won't be here for hours." Yasmina said solemnly as she looked at Ali who had a calculative glare on his face.
"Ali...what are y-" The trackstar cuts herself off as without even so much as a warning Ali leaped down into the tunnel.
"Ali!" Yasmina shouted with a look of fear as the entire camp fam waited for his response with wary gazes.
"What are yall waiting for? Let's go!" He shouted right back.
Their wary expressions were replaced with looks of confusion.
"No sense waiting around I guess..." Kenji said as they all followed suit and jumped down.
Turns out the fall wasn't as steep as it appeared.
That's what the group was thinking over as they ran through the halls.
They stopped at a keypad as Brooklynn immediately began hacking it.
The others waited anxiously for her to finish.
"The medbay should be straight ahead!" Brooklynn shouted as they began running again.
"Remember guys, stay alert." Ali reminded the group as they all nodded.
As they came into the medbay they noticed Darius running out of the...elevator?
"Hey!" The voice of Kash yelled, well that explained it.
"Guys!" Darius exclaimed as the elevator doors closed.
"Darius!" The group shouted as they all hugged him at once.
"Thank God you're okay." Brooklynn said exasperatedly as she continued hugging him even when the others separated.
Suddenly the ding from the elevator draws their attention as they all gasped and ran into hiding just in case.
"How'd you guys get down here?" Darius questioned.
"It was all Brook, it wasn't easy, but she put everything to the side and got us down here to save you...even when some of us were being...asses to say the least." Ali said as he rubbed the back of his head.
Brooklynn smiled him slightly, he was finally realizing.
"What happened up there D?" Yasmina questioned him.
"I was about to stop the fight but...the phone was right there, I'm sorry...I wanted to get us all home but Kash caught me and..." Darius trails off.
"This isn't your fault Darius, you did the right thing...this was my...our fault." Ali corrected himself after noticing Brooklynn's slight glare.
"The point is, you didn't do anything wrong D, we're still alive and okay." The allstar finished as Darius didn't seem convinced.
"Yea, you just did what you felt was right, it's like you said, we're the only ones who can help the dinosaurs here, we have to stay." Yasmina declared as everyone nodded...Darius smiled at the group.
"On that note, we should get out of here!" Brooklynn exclaimed slightly.
"I agree." Ali said as he stood up.
"Well that's a first for today." Kenji said with a snicker.
"Shutup Kon." Ali said dryly.
"Ayeee, he's back." Kenji said as he outstretched his arms.
"Boys." Sammy and Yasmina said simultaneously as they shook their heads at their respective boyfriends.
"Can we just go before that maniac comes back?" Ben questioned as they all nodded and began walking away.
"Wait." Darius stated as they stopped and turned to him.
"Kash is planning on uses Mae's research to control the dinosaurs." He revealed as they all gasped in disgust.
"How?" Kenji questioned.
"Don't know, but it's got something to do with these chips." Darius said as he presented one to the group as Ali took it and examined it.
"Guys...I know it sounds crazy...but the only way to figure it out is if-" Brooklynn cuts Darius off.
"You stay here..." She trailed off as he nodded.
"D...are you sure about this?" Ali questioned him.
"I mean...I don't really know, this guy's very unstable but...it's the only way to do it." Darius said firmly as Ali sighed.
"Look...even if I go with you guys, he'll come looking for me, and find the rest of you, if I stay..." Darius trailed off.
"Then you can get us information...now we can do whatever we can to undo Kash's plans." Brooklynn said as Darius nodded.
"Okay it's risky...but you know we trust you." Ali said as everyone nodded as well.
"Guys...Kash is coming, we gotta hurry this up." Sammy said as she noticed the elevator ding.
Brooklynn hugs Darius tightly before separating them at arm's length.
"Don't die, dinonerd." She said as he smiled at her.
"We have your back always D." Yasmina promised.
"Come on." Ali said in a hushed tone as he made the decision for the entire group.
They all ran through the halls as they left Darius to deal with Kash...hopefully this decision would end well for them.
Later
The camp fam walked through the forest as they were a bit solemn at the fact they left Darius behind.
However they knew it had to be done.
They all stood waiting now, for Ali and Brooklynn who had stopped to talk alone about whatever happened in the cave earlier.
Brooklynn crossed her arms as she looked at Ali with an unreadable expression, but he knew he had hurt her.
"Look Brooklynn...I'm not really good with this whole...heartfelt apologies thing but...I am going to try for you, just to show you I do care about your feelings...because what I said in that cave was just wrong, I didn't mean any of it, it was just...I don't know, everything that happened today...or even in the past, it just took a toll ya know? Thats not an excuse to do what I did though, it's not how a big brother is supposed to convey his feelings, I don't know what came over me, but I want you to know, I will never hurt you like that again, you're practically my sister now, and I will never ever make you cry again." Ali said as Brooklynn dropped her arms.
Her lips quivered a bit as the allstar looked at her warily.
"Brookly-" He is cutoff as the pinkette lunged at him and embraced him firmly.
"I'm glad you came back...I don't know who it was in that cave, but I know this is you, my brother, you're the reason I keep striving to be better Ali...please don't leave me again." Brooklynn said as her breath hitched into his chest.
"I won't, never again...I...I love you Brook." Ali said as he tightened the embrace.
"I love you too...more than you can ever imagine." Brooklynn said as they stayed like that for a while.
Everyone knows siblings have to argue from time to time...but nothing could ever truly douse the flame they have.
The unbreakable bond between Ali and Brooklynn was tested today...but the test was surely passed.
