Outside of Kash's Facility, Night
The camp fam was once again creeping around in the bushes outside of Kash's facility, much like they've been doing ever since Darius went under cover.
"Guys, we have to be extra careful this time." Ali reminded them as they crept through the bushes.
"Why?" Brooklynn questioned as she clutched Mae's tablet to her chest.
Before Ali could answer a low rumble is heard as the group collectively gasped.
They all turned to see Ali gesturing to two sleeping Velociraptors in the middle of the compound.
"That, that's why." The Allstar assured her as they all opted to move even more silently.
Nevertheless, they were fortunately able to sneak past the Velociraptors undetected.
However, when they ran up to Kash's building the entire group jumped when a rope was abruptly thrown down from above.
"What the..." Ben trailed off as they looked up to notice the rope coming down from the roof.
Fortunately, Darius soon appeared on the roof, letting them know it was only him.
Kenji was about to exclaim in glee but Yasmina shushed him before he could, she then jerked her heads towards the sleeping Raptors as he was reminded why they were being extra quiet.
"Alright guys, come on up." Darius whispered to the group from above.
Kenji turned to Sammy as he smiled at her softly.
"Ladies first." He said as Sammy chuckled at him and began climbing the rope.
"Ever the gentleman." Sammy said as she climbed to the too.
Kenji and Ben soon followed right after as they safely reached to the top.
"Come on Yas." Ali urged the trackstar as she nodded and began climbing to the top as well.
As Yasmina made it to the top, Ali ushered Brooklynn to go up.
He was about to follow suit until he realized Brooklynn was becoming wary of the sleeping Raptors.
The Allstar was going to call out to Brooklynn and reassure her that everything was okay but...it was far too late, the pinkette's fear had caused her hands to slip on the rope and she fell back to the ground with a loud yell.
"Oh no!" Yasmina exclaimed silently as the entire group collectively began panicking.
Ali helped Brooklynn to her feet swiftly as a loud snarl drew their attention, they then turned to notice the Velociraptors had woken up.
"Oh no..." Brooklynn trailed off as they both hissed and began menacingly approaching the two teens.
"Go! Go!" Ali shouted to Brooklynn as she scrambled and began climbing the rope again, much faster this time.
The Velociraptors then let out loud shrieks as they charged forward angrily, the group from the top of the roof were still watching in terror.
Brooklynn had made it to the top as Ali finally grabbed onto the rope and began scurriedly climbing, the Raptors getting nearer and nearer.
"Pull him up!" Darius shouted as the entire group began pulling the rope up to make things faster for Ali.
As they were helping the Allstar get to the top one of the Velociraptors lunged up at him with it's teeth poised to bite him.
Ali instinctively delivered a swift kick to the dinosaur's jaw as it fell into it's fellow Raptor with a whimper.
"Woo!" Kenji shouted as the entire group cheered, that could've went left real quick.
The Allstar then let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in this entire time...
He finally got to the top and could still feel his heart racing a thousand beats per second.
"That was insane." Was all Ben could say as the others smiled, everyone made it...safely atleast, the Allstar smiled at that.
"Always the dramatic effects with this guy." Kenji said as he crossed his arms, Ali decided not to retaliate, after what just happened, he'd need atleast a second to recuperate.
However there was no time for Ali to relax as Yasmina immediately lunged at him and began checking him for injuries.
"Are you okay? Did it get a bite of you?" She questioned rapidly as Ali tried to calm her down.
"Yas I swear I'm fine, see look, healthy as ever." The Allstar said as he gave her a reassuring hug.
The trackstar then returned the hug swiftly as she smiled, she loved having the confident Ali back.
"Awww, I love when we have our little cute moments right after someone or all of us almost die." Sammy said with a large smile as she hugged Kenji tightly, much to his sheer confusion.
"Right..." Was all the rich boy could say.
"Sorry about that G, I don't know why I panicked." Brooklynn apologized as Ali and Yasmina separated.
"It's okay B, it was a reasonable freak out." Ali assured her before turning to Darius who was watching the entire group next to the BRAD-X they had hacked.
"Wow, look at you Mr. Undercover spy, how's Kash treatin ya?" The Allstar questioned as everyone walked up to Darius with smiles.
Brooklynn swiftly drew him into a hug, she missed his hugs deeply, it was only a few days, but not being able to hug him for that long felt like years to her.
"Oh you know, he's treating me like any deranged maniac would treat a thirteen year old who mysteriously wounded up on his island." Darius said with a shrug as Brooklynn turned their hug into a side hug so they could both face the rest of the group.
"Sounds like fun." Yasmina said with a smirk.
"Alright guys, we don't know when Kash is gonna wake up, let's hurry this up." Ben said as they all agreed and began walking towards the roof entrance.
Darius opened the door quietly as the group began briskly but silently walking down the stairs.
The dino nerd then got the rest of the group to Kash's elevator safely.
As he presses the button on the elevator the doors open up and the group began piling into it.
"This'll take you to the med bay, there's a nursery next to it, he's testing the control chips on the baby dinos first thing in the morning." Darius warned his group.
"What about the cameras?" Brooklynn questioned him.
"Mr. Genius has been too busy to set up the island's camera systems, message me on the BRAD-X as soon as you get the babies out, good luck." Darius said to the entire group, even though he was looking directly at Brooklynn.
They all nodded before Darius turned to leave and the doors began closing.
"Hey Darius..." Brooklynn called out as she reached her arm out and stopped the doors from closing.
The dino nerd turned to her with a questioning glance.
"Be safe, okay." She said with a warm smile which he returned.
"I will Brook." Darius said before he finally left and Brooklynn let the elevator doors close.
As they began descending to the Med Bay, Yasmina could physically feel Ali getting tense, being as though she was so close to him.
However, she wasn't the only one who noticed it as Kenji could visibly see it on the Allstar's face.
"What's up with you?" Kenji questioned him.
"I just...don't like elevators man." Ali admitted in a strained voice as Kenji stifled a laugh.
"Are you kidding me? You are soooo weird." Kenji said as Ali tried his hardest to glare at him through his uncomfort.
"What the hell's that supposed to mean?" Ali questioned him angrily as everyone then tuned into their convo.
"I'm sorry, it's just funny that the guy that just kicked a Velociraptor in the face is afraid of ELEVATORS!" Kenji shouted as he burst out laughing, Ben then joined in as Ali fumed.
The girls deadpanned at them before turning to eachother.
"Boys." They said said simultaneously.
"Aye! I'm not afraid! I just don't like em!" Ali shouted at Kenji.
"Sureee, hey, can I get transferred to the elevators with ACTUAL fearless leaders?" Kenji questioned as his laughter intensified.
"We'll see who's fearless when I beat your ass again." Ali said through gritted teeth as Kenji feigned a gasp.
"So scaryyy, if I showed you a stock photo of an elevator would you take off running?" The rich boy questioned Ali.
"I don't know, if I punched you in the throat would you still be able to do that stupid ass laugh of yours?" Ali questioned back as their argument continued getting more and more ridiculous.
This went on for the entirety of the ride as Yasmina could only facepalm.
"Sometimes, I think they're secretly a couple and we're just cover ups." Yasmina said to Sammy who nodded in agreement.
Med Bay
The group finally got to the Med Bay as everyone got out of the elevator.
The last two to get out were Kenji and Ali who were still going at eachothers necks.
"Loser." Kenji said with a smirk.
"Dumbass." Ali said with a deadpan.
After a small pause they then burst into laughter much to everyone's confusion.
They then half hugged eachother as they continued heartily laughing.
"Are they serious?" Brooklynn questioned...like, just a moment ago they were at eachother's THROATS, now they were laughing and hugging eachother.
Eventually they all realized that's just how Kenji and Ali were, sure they joked with eachother all day but at the end of it all, they were brothers, and their bond could never be broken...but as everyone knows...sometimes good things come to and end.
"Well, if you two ladies are done, I believe we have a job to do." Ben said with a deadpan, unusually his comment was directed to Ali and Kenji who arched their brows at him.
The group then began walking through the Med Bay, VERY cautiously.
As they walked Sammy stopped to investigate one of the many large doors.
When the door shook and she heard the growl of a large creature she immediately jumped back in fear.
"Hey guys! I think I found the nursery!" Ben shouted as the entire group went towards his shouts.
"Look at this system." He said as they all looked down at the small system in the door he was at showing three yellow blips.
"So there's only 3 baby dinos, great, this shouldn't be too difficult then." Ali said as he crossed his arms.
"Something like that." Yasmina said with a small smile.
Ben then ran up to another door as he swiped the lock on it, Brooklynn and Sammy followed after him as Kenji, Ali and Yasmina stayed back.
"Baby Brachiosaurus, 2 months old, DNA imported from Isla Sorna, won't take me long, where we meeting after?" Ben questioned Brooklynn.
"Meet up in the Med Bay, we'll figure out which biome to put them in later." Brooklynn assured him as she and Sammy ran back down the halls.
"Come on Kenj!" Sammy shouted as she grabbed his arm and dragged him to one of the other baby dinos.
"Okay Sammy! Don't pull my arm off I'm coming!" Kenji shouted as they ran to the other door.
"Okay, Brooklynn we'll meet you in the Med Bay, keep watch for any BRADs or you know...middle aged brown haired maniacs with bad tattoos." Ali said with a smirk as Brooklynn shook her head with a smile and took off to the Med Bay.
"You ready to become dino-sitters?" Ali questioned Yasmina.
"As ready as anyone can be after hearing something like that." She replied with a shrug as they walked up to the final door.
When they swiped the lock the same information like before popped up on the screen...only it didn't make sense.
"Spinosaurus and Sinoceratops? Why would he put a carnivore and a herbivore in the same area?" Yasmina questioned her boyfriend who hummed.
Ali then swiped to the final slide on the lock as they both gasped at what they found.
It wasn't a Spinosaurus and Sinoceratops individually...it was a hybrid.
"Another hybrid...what's wrong with these people..." Yasmina trailed off.
"Spinoceratops? You know...it's kinda looks cute for a science experiment." Ali said with a shrug as the creature did share mostly the cute features of a baby Sinoceratops with the Spinosaurus' fin coming out of it's back.
"Seriously?" Yasmina questioned with a deadpan.
Ali then opened the door as he chuckled and they entered the room.
They instantly noticed the little white Spinoceratops sleeping in it's cage.
"You tellin me that's not cute Yas? Come onnn." Ali urged her as she chuckled.
"Let's just get her up." Yasmina said as she picked up a branch and they began advancing the baby hybrid.
As they neared the baby dino, she stirred awake and immediately took note of the two new faces and the branch in Yasmina's hand.
"Here, here." The trackstar urged the dinosaur as it began sniffing the air.
"Come on little dino buddy, let's get you outta here." Ali said with a smile as the Spinoceratops charged at them.
"Wait...slow dow-ack!" Ali exclaimed as the dinosaur came to a halt wildly, roughly knocking him to the ground with a thud.
The Allstar groaned as he shook his head and looked up at Yasmina who was laughing at his expense whilst feeding the hybrid dino.
"Still think she's all that cute?" She questioned as Ali grumbled at her.
"Come on little baby...this way." Yasmina said as she led the dino towards the exit with the branch.
After the Spinoceratops stopped with the branch, she then began nuzzling Yasmina's leg with her face as the latter was certainly taken back by this, causing her to stop.
"Oh...you're welcome?" She said shakily as she scratched the baby's neck.
"Hm, looks like I'm not the only one who finds her cute." Ali said with a smirk as he now stood up again.
"Sh-shutup! Let's just go meet up with the others..." Yasmina said gravely as they then began leading the baby to the Med Bay.
Med Bay
It was chaos to say the least...apparently wrangling baby dinosaurs was harder than it looked.
Let alone two hybrids...yes, two, Kenji and Sammy had found another, darker hued Spinoceratops which they had given the name Rebel.
Rebel was evidently related to the other Spinoceratops as they often stopped running for only a second to play, right before running around wildly again.
The group was relentlessly trying to keep them under control.
Brooklynn and Yasmina had went to get some fruits and vegetables to help ease the babies.
"This is getting out of hand." Kenji panted out as he and Sammy chased Rebel.
"Firecracker! Come back!" Ben shouted as he chased after the wild baby Brachiosaurus.
"How can this thing be so cute yet so demonic?" Ali shouted as he grabbed the tail of the Spinoceratops he and Yasmina had found.
"Ack!" He exclaimed as Rebel crashed into him.
"Whoops! Sorry about that one Ali! Rebel! Get back here this instant Mister!" Sammy shouted as she ran after Rebel along with a frantic Kenji.
Ali then groaned as he looked up to notice the unnamed baby standing above him.
"Oh so you're gonna mock me now?" He questioned her as she tilted her head cutely.
Before Ali could react, his face was covered in slobber as she licked him, much to his dismay, then ran off again.
"That was gross." Ali said to himself as he stood up and noticed Yasmina and Brooklynn had returned with the food.
"What the hell is happening here? We left for 3 minutes..." Brooklynn trailed off.
"I'm sorry, while you two were off gathering food, we kinda had to deal with, oh I don't know, THREE LITTLE BABY DINOSAURS!" Ali shouted as he fumed.
"Well, someone's stressed out, dad life isn't for you." Brooklynn said as she walked over to Ben and Firecracker.
"Dad life? What the hell is she talking about?" Ali questioned Yasmina who shrugged.
"Who knows? Let's just go feed the baby so she can calm down." Yasmina said as Ali arched a brow and followed after her.
"The baby? Why are you acting like it's a real kid...?" Ali questioned the trackstar who offered him no answer.
Truth was, Yasmina knew exactly what she was doing, when she had left with Brooklynn and her had a conversation about what it truly meant to be a parent.
Granted, Yasmina didn't think she had what it took to be a good mom...nor did she think Ali would think so either, but after Brooklynn opened her eyes, she realized this not to be true.
She was going to use the baby hybrid as a means to show Ali that one day he could depend on her to raise his children with him...though she wasn't too keen on telling him that straight up.
"Come on Angel, don't you want these berries?" Yasmina questioned as the little dino walked up to her and began eating the berries.
"Angel? When did we decide on the name?" Ali questioned her as Angel ate all the berries.
"What? You don't like it? We can pick a different name if you want, we're doing this together so I don't want to be selfish-" Ali cuts Yasmina off as he raised his hands.
"Woah Yas, calm down, I was just joking, I think Angel's a perfect name for her." Ali complimented Yasmina as she smiled softly at him.
The food had seemingly calmed Angel down for the time being.
Ali and Yasmina smiled proudly as they had accomplished their job.
Unfortunately...right as they were about to congratulate eachother, Rebel rammed into Angel playfully as the array of madness started again.
"No! Guys I'm so sorry!" Sammy shouted as she was trying to wrangle Rebel.
"Oh no..." Ali trailed off as Rebel and Angel then began charging at Firecracker.
"No!" Ben shouted as he, along with Brooklynn who was feeding Firecracker jumped out of the way in fear.
The two baby Spinoceratops' had now caused Firecracker to begin running wild again.
"What are we gonna do with these guys...?" Ali questioned as they all looked at the madness going on.
Before anyone could say something, Angel crashed into the Med Bay's door system as it was smashed and destroyed.
"Oh no." Was all Sammy could say as they watched in horror...the lights turning to a deep, foreboding, red hue.
Every single door in the Med Bay slid open as everyone now became on edge, almost every dinosaur in those cages were carnivores.
And sure enough...the first dinosaur to step forth out of it's cage was a large, robust, Ceratosaurus.
"Anddd things just got a whole lot harder..."Ali trailed off as he stood defensively in front of a quivering Yasmina and an Angel who was just as scared.
"Hide!" Brooklynn shouted in a hushed tone as they all did just that.
Ali ushered Yasmina and Angel behind a crate, Sammy and Kenji did the same with Rebel as Ben also did the same with Firecracker.
They watched as the Ceratosaurus huskily stalked around the Med Bay searching for them.
Ali then noticed an opening for Kenji and Sammy as he signaled for them to move, they then ushered Rebel away, quietly.
He then turned to where Brooklynn and Ben were as the Ceratosaurus walked by and growled loudly.
The Allstar then picked a stray piece of shrapnel as he tossed it over to a metal beam, the sound that ensued instantly drew the Ceratosaurus' attention as it roared slightly and went to investigate the noise.
This gave Ben and Firecracker an opening now as they then quickly moved to safety as well.
Ali, Yasmina and Angel already had an opening...but Ali noticed a small problem.
The area he had lured the Ceratosaurus too...made it virtually impossible for Brooklynn to get past it.
The Allstar watched as Brooklynn frantically stayed hidden from the beast who was only a few clicks away from her.
He knew he'd have to go to her himself, with with a different route.
"Yas, take Angel and get to the others." Ali whispered softly as he prepared to leave, only to be stopped by Yasmina.
"Ali no...that thing could kill you." She begged him not to go, he could see the fear flashing through her eyes.
"Yas, Brooklynn needs me, I promise I'll be okay, I told you, as long as you're alive, I'm not dying anytime soon." Ali said as Yasmina wasn't too sure yet, she still had a wary expression.
The Allstar then brought their foreheads together softly.
"Do you trust me?" He questioned her as she backed up and shakily nodded.
"Then that's good enough for me...I'll be back in no time..." Ali trailed off before turning to Angel.
"Be good, listen to Yas, okay? Good." He finished before turning swiftly and running behind another set of crates.
Yasmina watched as he snuck over to Brooklynn.
"Please come back safe..." She trailed off as she began quietly ushering Angel to the others.
Ali had leaped over another set of crates, and landed on the floor silently.
Brooklynn almost jumped when he ran up to her but was instantly relieved when he wrapped her in a firm hug to ensure that she knew he wasn't about to leave her behind.
"Took you long enough...now how are gonna get past that?" Brooklynn questioned as she gestured to the Ceratosaurus.
"Well, I didn't think that far ahead but, here's an idea, don't get eaten? Sound like a plan?" Ali questioned her.
Before Brooklynn could reply they heard a loud cry from none other than Firecracker.
They turned to see Firecracker had panickedly alerted the Ceratosaurus of everyone's presence.
"Oh no..." Brooklynn trailed off as the beast roared loudly and began chasing them.
"Okay new plan! Run!" Ali shouted as he avoided the Ceratosaurus' jaws.
He then found himself alongside Yasmina and Angel again as they ran to one of the airlocks with Ben and Firecracker in tow.
Brooklynn had ended up with Kenji, Sammy and Rebel as the Ceratosaurus relentlessly chased them.
The large dinosaur accidentally tripped on it's own leg as this gave the group enough room to escape.
They all went through two different air locks and ended up in drastically different biomes.
Fortunately, no one was eaten...but now they had to change their entire plan.
One group was in the Arctic and the other was in the Jungle..
Jungle
Ali, Yasmina and Ben had ended up in the jungle biome with their respective baby dinos as they tried to regain their breaths.
"Well, that was fun." Ali said in between breaths.
Before they could continue speaking, Firecracker bleeted and ran off again.
"Firecracker! No!" Ben shouted as he ran after her.
He then chased her in circles as Yasmina chuckled at his expense.
"That Brachiosaurus has so much energy." She commented.
"Yea, too much energy, she almost turned us into Ceratosaurus food." Ali said with a shake of his head.
"Aw, come on Ali, I think she just needs time to adjust, don't you remember when Angel was smaller and soooo wild? Those days were hectic." Yasmina said as she knelt down and petted Angel.
"Yasmina those days were half an hour ago." Ali replied with a cross of his arms.
"Don't listen to him baby, he's just mad because you like me more." Yasmina whispered to Angel.
"That is not true!" Ali shouted as Yasmina chuckled.
"I'm sorry...Gelebean." Yasmina said with a smirk as Ali gasped.
"You said you'd never say that nickname again!" He shouted in despair as Yasmina's laughter intensified.
Angel then huffed out a few small bleets.
"Oh great, now the baby's laughing at me too..." Ali trailed off.
Yasmina then stood up and walked up to Ali.
She placed a kiss on his lips as he was taken back at first by the sudden sign of affection.
"Thanks for protecting us, and always coming back safely." Yasmina thanked him as he smiled at her.
They then smiled at Angel who chose to take a little nap in the grass.
Though Ali wasn't too keen on being made fun of by a baby, hybrid dinosaur, he'd have to admit he was happy they were all atleast safe.
He then wondered to the others and Darius...what were they up to?
Arctic
"Ofcourse we managed to end up in the damn ice box again somehow!" Kenji shouted as they trekked through the cold icy wasteland.
"Hey! Don't you dare use profanities in front of Rebel! I don't want him growing up with a filth mouth!" Sammy shouted at Kenji.
"Sammy, he's a dinosaur." Brooklynn reminded her with a chuckle.
Rebel then began running around in circles as he played with the snow.
Despite themselves, Kenji and Sammy soon joined him as they laughed heartily.
"Hey Rebel! That's cheating!" Kenji shouted as the dinosaur tackled him into the snow.
Brooklynn chuckled at them, even though things didn't go as planned, everyone was safe, and they could still have moments like these.
This was beautiful...a job well done, but the pinkette knew it was far from over, they still had to take Kash down.
Her gaze hardened slightly...their main mission would never be forgott-
Brooklynn was brough out of her thoughts as a snowball hit her chest.
She noticed Kenji smirking smugly.
Maybe Kash could wait for a bit...it was snowball time.
"Oh it's so on." Brooklynn said as she began forming a snowball, it was her turn to join the fray.
