Jungle Biome
Ali and Yasmina stood in the jungle biome as they watched Angel devour an entire berry bush on her own.
"Wow, I never thought I'd see a being on this planet that liked berries more than you." Yasmina commented as Ali sighed.
"Hey, I love berries but you guys make it seem like an addiction." The Allstar said as he subconsciously stuffed three of the red berries into his face.
"Right...not an addiction at all." Yasmina commented with a shake of her head before stealing one on of his berries.
Before their conversation could continue, Firecracker ran out of another set of bushes and tackled Angel.
Both athletes shared small laughs as the baby dinosaurs began playing.
Ali then glanced at Yasmina slightly as he noticed that look on her face...that soft maternal gaze...ofcourse he never experienced it, but, when other kids would get picked up by their moms at school they always had the same look Yasmina had on their faces.
'Does she want to be a mom now? Does she want me to be the dad...? Am I even ready to be a good dad?!' Ali mentally panicked.
"Aw, Angel and Firecracker love being outside, I'm so glad we saved them." Yasmina said as she rested her head on Ali's shoulder.
The Allstar made no affirmations or movements...he was still frantically battling his thoughts.
Fortunately, Ben arrived on the scene with branches and berries, drawing Ali and Yasmina's attention...more so the latter out of his own crazed thoughts.
"Come on, we should get them to the cave." Ben began as Firecracker walked up to him and tried to eat the berries, he swiftly moved them away from her much to her dismay.
Yasmina and Ali arched a brow at his tone, Ben should've been the biggest dino lover other than Darius out of the entire group, not for his knowledge...but his past with Bumpy.
"It's probably the only safe place for them on the isl-ack!" Ben exclaimed as Firecracker lunged and tackled him to the ground, causing all of the resources he gathered to drop all over the ground.
Yasmina and Ali chuckled at his expense as he groaned.
"I don't Firecracker wants to leave just yet Ben." The Allstar said with a shrug.
"Seriously?" Ben questioned him with yet another groan as Angel walked up to Firecracker and began playing with her again.
Yasmina uncharacteristically giggled as she walked up to the playing infants.
"I should probably go restock before we go." Ben said as he stood up with a sour expression.
"Aw, but they're playing, isn't it nice in a way?" Yasmina questioned Ben with a soft smile.
"No, what would be nice is if we stopped messing around, and hurried this up!" Ben all but shouted as Ali arched a brow at him.
"Ben, is everything alright? Why are you acting like this?" Ali questioned him.
"I...I, it's nothing, I just don't wanna get...attached again, if I don't get attached, I won't be as hurt when I have to leave her behind...again." Ben said as his voice hitched and Yasmina stood up now.
Both her and Ali watched at Ben with soft eyes.
There were so many questions about what he said, attached? Again?
"Attached to what, Ben?" Yasmina questioned, but before Ben could answer Firecracker walked up to him and bumped him with her head.
Then it all came together for the two athletes...Ben was still aching about Bumpy.
"It's Bumpy, isn't it?" Ali questioned Ben as the boy looked up at his two friends, an unreadable expression marring his face.
"Ben listen, if you ever wanna talk about Bumpy, we're right here." Yasmina said as Ali nodded.
"There's nothing to talk about! She's there, and I'm here...all I'm trying to do is warn you guys, if you let yourselves get too attached to Angel, it's not going to end well." Ben said with a deep frown.
Ali and Yasmina then looked down at Angel who was nuzzling up against the latter's legs, she let out a small coo.
They then looked back at Ben who sighed.
"I'm gonna go find more berries." Ben said as he turned to leave, only to be stopped by none other than Firecracker who leaped into his way playfully.
Ben simply dragged out a sigh and gently pushed her out of his way by her neck.
Firecracker tilted her head at the boy as he walked away from the group...
She then turned to Ali and Yasmina as they noticed she was a bit confused.
"Don't worry girl, he's just hurting right now, give him time, he'll come around." Ali said as he scratched Firecracker's chin.
"I don't care what Mr. Negative said Angel, no matter if we have to leave we'll always be with you in spirit." Yasmina said as she kneeled down to hug Angel.
"Wow, you know, you've changed the most out of all of us, Yasmina on the first day of camp would have a heart attack if she saw Yasmina today." Ali said with a smirk.
"Hm, is the change good or bad then?" Yasmina questioned him.
"Hmmm, I'd say it's great." Ali replied as she stood up and walked over to him.
"Good." Yasmina said as she pulled him in for a hug.
They stayed like that for a bit as they continued asking small questions to pass time.
"So, how do you think the others are doing?" Yasmina questioned her boyfriend.
"Brooklynn and Sammy are probably fine, but knowing Kenji...he's probably out there complaining about how cold it is." Ali responded with a chuckle.
"Atleast they have Rebel with them safe and sound." The trackstar stated as Ali smiled at that thought.
"Guys..." Began the voice of Ben as the two immediately separated and turned to him with nervous expressions.
"Where's Firecracker?" Ben questioned them as they looked around to in fact realize the baby Brachiosaurus was gone...
"We thought she went after you..." Yasmina deducted in confusion.
Ali then gained a frantic demeanor as he directed their attention to a group of BRAD-Xes patrolling a few yards in front of them.
"Get down!" The Allstar shouted in a hushed tone as they all did just that.
Fortunately, the BRAD-Xes weren't going their way...but Firecracker was still out there.
"Yas, get Angel to a safe place." Ali told his girlfriend as she nodded.
"What are you guys gonna do?" Yasmina questioned them.
"We're gonna make sure Firecracker comes back safe, come on Ben." Ali said as he tapped the jungle boy's shoulder and they began trailing the robots.
Yasmina quietly hoped that they'd come back okay and with Firecracker as she ushered Angel away from the scene as the baby hybrid bleeted softly in fear.
"Don't worry Angel, daddy's gonna come back safely and he's gonna get your friend back, that's a promise." Yasmina coddled the young Spinoceratops as they continued walking.
As Ben and Ali trailed the droids they now hid behind a log and watched one of them scan the area.
Firecracker's familiar cry then got their attention as they turned to see the baby Brachiosaurus, all by herself, frantic and alone.
"No." Ben said in a hushed tone as he realized the BRAD-X wasn't too far from her.
After the robot locked it's eyes on her, they immediately went from green to red as the droid got on all fours and began chasing Firecracker.
It was like a black, metallic Kaprosuchus in a way.
Firecracker turned to realize it coming her way as she immediately opted to run away.
"Come on Ben!" Ali declared as the two came out of hiding and ran after the BRAD-X and Firecracker.
As they noticed the BRAD-X was gaining on her they had to think of something.
Ben stopped and picked up a small boulder as he swiftly pelted it at the droid.
It hit the bot as the machine got on it's hind legs again and turned around.
The BRAD-X then fired multiple explosive rounds in the direction of where the rock came from.
Fortunately, Ali and Ben had hidden behind some trees, but this didn't stop the droid from scanning the area.
It didn't notice any signs of a threat so it opted to go after Firecracker again.
"Damnit." Ali said as he along with Ben came out of hiding as they ran after the bot again.
They now hid in bushes as they noticed a full group of four BRAD-Xes surrounding Firecracker now.
"No...no...this can't be happening right now." Ben said as he watched them lead her away.
"I know Ben, I know, but we can't help her if we stay here and cry about it, come on, let's keep our distance but stick with them." Ali said as he tapped Ben's back before taking off.
Ben hesitated for a bit...he was still upset but, he then gained a determined look, he was going to save Firecracker.
He then ran after Ali as they silently trailed the BRAD-Xes.
The two boys trailed the bots and the baby dino all the way to Kash's compound.
Kash and Darius walk out of the facility as Firecracker bleeted in distress.
Ben and Ali watched in anger and subtle sorrow as one of the BRAD-Xes held Firecracker to the ground.
Kash walker up to her with a sinister smirk and a chip injector in hand.
"Now, it's time to see if my master plan works..." Kash trailed off as he prepared to inject the chip into Firecracker.
"Wait, Kash, isn't it gonna hurt? Don't you want to atleast put her to sleep first?" Darius questioned the madman.
"I don't wanna have to wait to see if this thing works!" Kash shouted angrily as he tried to get Firecracker to stay still.
"Stay still! You do not want me to miss with this thing!" Kash shouted as he finally placed it on her head.
"Okay." He said softly as he injected her with the chip, a loud cry following from the baby as Darius, Ali and Ben, despite not being close to eachother, all shared the same expression of disgust and uneasiness.
"Gah! Nailed it! Or rather...chipped it!" Kash shouted as he handed Darius the injector and took the tablet from the boy.
The BRAD-Xes then let Firecracker get up as the Brachiosaurus immediately tried to run to the jungle and escape.
Kash smirked to himself as he tapped a button on the tablet.
"Stop!" He shouted as Firecracker immediately stopped.
Unfortunately...it was clearly against her will, as she breathed frantically and was as still as a painting.
"Oh my God." Darius said to himself as he fell to the floor.
"No way..." Ali trailed off as he was disgusted by this act.
Kash smirked as he watched Firecracker frantically try to break control of the chip.
"No-" Ben's shout is cutoff as Ali grabbed him and stopped him from running out into the open, if their cover got blown, the whole plan would be ruined.
"Ben, no, we can't do anything right now!" Ali shouted in a hushed tone.
As Kash continued smirking at his work, he noticed the bushes next to Firecracker were rustling, which was a result of Ben struggling against Ali.
"Whatever's in that bush, kill it, can't risk my first experiment getting attacked." Kash said as his BRAD-Xes approached the bush slowly.
Ali then noticed this as he shushed Ben.
"Shit..." The Allstar trailed off as he had to think quick.
"Okay I have a plan, Ben, go back to the cave and warn the others about everything that just happened." Ali stated as Ben was about to protest.
"We don't have anytime Ben, if you don't go we all could die, including Firecracker." The Allstar urged as Ben turned to the still frantic baby.
He then nodded before turning and running off into jungle, tears began slipping out of his face...his vision was blurred by pain.
Ali then turned back to the slowly approaching BRAD-Xes.
'I hope Darius knows how to improvise...' Ali mentally stated as he slowly came out of the bushes on the other side.
"Darius! Darius! Where are you?" He shouted loudly as Darius and Kash both wore shocked expressions.
Darius because when did Ali get here...and why would he blow his cover?
Kash was shocked because he wanted to know how the hell these kids kept ending up on THIS island of all islands.
"Halt! Unauthorized lifeform!" One of the bots shouted as Ali turned to them with a dumb expression.
"Woah, what are you guys? Is this the future?" He questioned before turning to Darius swiftly giving him a signal with his face.
The Allstar then fully turned his face to Darius as he feigned a surprised expression.
"Darius!" He shouted as he sprinted the dino nerd and wrapped him in a large hug.
"Follow my lead." He whispered as Darius nodded.
"Hey! I'm still standing here buddy! Who are you and how the hell did you get on my island?" Kash questioned Ali as he separated from Darius.
"I...I got stranded here with my little brother and we must've gotten separated when our ship crashed." Ali lied as Kash arched a brow.
"You didn't say anything about your brother being stranded here too? Why?" Kash questioned Darius.
"I...I thought I'd lost him forever, I didn't want to bring him up." Darius added to the lie as Kash grit his teeth, this was way too suspicious.
"Wait, so you've been taking care of my little brother this entire time? Thank you so much, I don't know how we can ever repay you." Ali said as he pulled Kash into a hug much to the madman's dismay.
"Okay kid! You're welcome, now hands off!" Kash shouted as he pushed Ali off and turned his back to him.
The goofy smile Ali had been faking now became a deep frown since Kash couldn't see.
"I'll figure you two out later, for now, I have more important matters to tend to." Kash said as he began advancing Firecracker.
"I can't believe he actually did it." Ali said as he crossed his arms.
"Me neither...but, why'd you blow your cover? You know that was super risky right?" Darius questioned him.
"Yea but, it was either that or get deep fried." Ali said with a shrug.
Darius realized that to be fair, the BRAD-Xes were ruthless.
Ben
Ben had sprinted the entire way back to the cave as the group all watched in confusion as he tried to regain his breath.
Sammy, Kenji, and Brooklynn had safely made it out of the Arctic and they had rebel with them too.
"Woah, Ben, what's wrong? Where's Ali and Firecracker?" Yasmina questioned him.
"Kash did it! The chips! He freakin did it! He got Firecracker! And now he's controlling her! She was trying to fight it but she couldn't...Ali blew his own cover to save everyone elses..." Ben revealed as the whole group gasped.
For Yasmina, was basically on the verge of having a heart attack, there was just no way.
Brooklynn shared these sentiments...too much was going on right now.
Darius was already behind enemy lines, now Ali was too? And on top of that, Kash had actually gotten through with his evil plan.
Angel nuzzled Yasmina's legs as the trackstar tried to maintain her composure.
The trackstar couldn't do it anymore, her fists tightened so much they were turning blue.
"He hurt Mae, he put Darius in harm's way, and God knows what he could do to Ali if he finds out, he could hurt anyone that gets in his way! I had to leave one dinosaur behind...I'm not doing it again, but enough is enough, we have to take Kash down!" Ben declared irately, the others knew he was right, this had to end, and now.
Darius and Ali
The two boys stood at the side of the facility as they tried to recuperate from the inhumanity they had witnessed earlier.
The hacked BRAD-X stood behind them.
"Guys...the chip works." Darius said weekly to the bot.
"We know, but we have a plan, you're gonna wanna hear this." Ben said through the BRAD-X.
"If we're doing something let's do this fast, Kash is getting restless." Ali said as everyone agreed with that.
Yasmina on the other end of the comm was relieved to hear his voice, atleast she knew he was safe.
After Ben has explained the plan Darius and Ali walked back to the front of the compound as they noticed Kash was frustrated for some reason.
"Gah! The only command this stupid thing follows is stop! I'm gonna see if I can amp up the frequency, it's either gonna do what I say or it's little head is gonna explode, either way we're gonna see something cool today." Kash said with a sinister chuckle.
"You sissies all good now?" Kash questioned them as Darius sighed.
"Just peachy." Ali said dryly as he crossed his arms causing Kash to laugh again.
"I like this one, he's so monotoned now." Kash said as he rubbed Ali's head much to the latter's dismay.
Kash then walked away from them as he entered the facility.
Darius and Ali walked up to Firecracker who was once again breathing frantically and trying to break out of the mind control.
"We're gonna get you outta this, you just gotta be brave." Darius said as he stroked her head.
"We won't let him keep you under his control for long, trust me, just wait a little longer." Ali reassured the dinosaur.
Later
It was time to put Ben's plan into fruition.
Ali watched the bushes in front of them as Yasmina gave him a signal.
He then nodded to Darius.
"Kash! Come quick!" Darius shouted as Kash ran outside in confusion.
"What?" Kash questioned the two boys who were still next to the Brachiosaurus.
"Look over there." Ali said as he gestured to a small white figure running through the jungle, it was clearly Angel.
Kash's eyes widened in realization at the baby hybrid.
"That little..." He trailed off before pressing a button on the tablet.
"Take this stupid Brachiosaurus and put it in the nursery, come on." Kash said to the two BRAD-Xes and the boys.
"Alright guys, he took the bait, it's go time." Ali said to the hacked BRAD-X as they followed after the madman.
When they went through the jungle they were shocked, to find Angel had disappeared, well moreso Kash who was oblivious to everything.
"Where'd it go?" Kash questioned loudly.
"It must've gone in there." Darius suggested as he gestured towards the airlock for the forest biome which was oddly open for some reason.
Kash growled as he ran into the airlock, something was up.
When they got to the forest biome they scanned the area for Angel.
A sudden screech drew their attention as they all looked up frantically.
A Pterenadon was swooping down to attack them.
"You've gotta be kidding me! Run!" Ali shouted as he, Darius and the hacked BRAD-X turned and ran towards the airlock.
Kash stood still like an idiot as Ali looked back with a sigh.
"Move your ass bruh!" The Allstar shouted as he grabbed Kash by the arm and dragged him back to the airlock.
Darius then locked the airlock as they all took a few seconds to catch their breaths from that close encounter with death.
"Gee little brother, I feel like a little warning would've been nice!" Ali shouted at Darius, he was staying in character whilst also trying to convey his discontent.
"I didn't know about those! The island didn't have them before! The new assets were Pterenadons?" Darius questioned Kash loudly.
"Yes! And those idiot BRADs just let them loose!" Kash shouted.
"You told em to put them wherever." Darius reminded him with a deadpan.
"Wow, the man who created mind control, truly amazing." Ali said as he crossed his arms.
"Hey! This was obviously not what I meant!" Kash shouted as he stormed off in the other direction.
"Okay but uh, what about the baby dinos?" Darius questioned.
"Chill kid, I'm not getting eaten by a flying lizard to find them." Kash said as he shrugged and continued walking.
"Welp, I hope the others are having more fun than us." Ali said as they started off after Kash.
Forest Biome
They were in fact NOT having better luck as Sammy and Kenji found themselves running after Rebel, who was being chased by a Pterenadon.
"Rebel! No, he's gonna catch him!" Sammy shouted as the flying beast closed in on the baby.
"Not on my watch." Kenji said determinedly as he sped up and tackled Rebel out of the way, fortunately in time too.
Sammy gasped as she skated to a stop and ran to check up on Rebel and Kenji.
They opted to stay hidden in the bush they landed in.
Fortunately this worked because when the reptile flew back around it didn't see them and flew right over their heads.
Rebel was still very frantic as he continued bleeting in distress.
He was only calmed down when Kenji stroked his snout and told him everything was okay.
Sammy smiled at Rebel then at Kenji.
"Aww Kenj! You saved the day!" Sammy shouted as she placed a kiss on his cheek, eliciting a small blush from the rich boy.
"I...I guess I did." He said with a small smile pulling at his face.
"You're a great man Kenji, and you're gonna be an even better father one day." Sammy reassured him as she stroked Rebel's head.
"Thank you, as long as you're the mother of those future children, then there's nothing much more I could ask for." Kenji said as they hugged.
Darius and Ali
The two still walked behind Kash and alongside the BRAD-X as they somehow found themselves in another part of the forest biome.
Kash watched as his plan to lure the Pterenadons away had worked, albeit very slowly.
He then began walking through the forest, Ali and Darius not to far behind.
A sudden bleet draws their attention as they all turned to see Rebel near the big lake.
Kash gasped as he immediately ran towards the dinosaur, Ali and Darius following behind.
Sammy and Kenji were behind a boulder as the baby Spinoceratops was playing his role as bait well.
"Okay come on baby, it's time for you to come back." Sammy said as they gestured for him to come to them.
As Kash came upon the scene, he was irate to say the least, the dinosaur had disappeared...
"Where'd it go?" He shouted angrily.
Ali and Darius turned as they noticed Ben hiding in some bushes with a tablet in hand.
They all shared the same look as this was it...the climax...the finale to the plan.
The BRAD-X was supposed to hit Kash with the knockout gas...but when Ben controlled it to get behind Kash and do so...they were all shocked when nothing happened.
Both Ali and Darius turned to Ben in confusion.
"Ben what the hell? Where is the gas?" Ali mouthed to him.
"I don't know what's happening." Ben mouthed back.
Ben then gained an idea as he ran behind the waterfall, fortunately he knew how to maneuver his way in Mae's cave.
He then presses a call on the tablet which immediately drew Kash's attention.
"Behind the waterfall!" Kash shouted as he ran into Mae's cave, the two boys following closely.
"How could that thing just wonder in here?" Kash questioned as he began walking through the cave and heard even more dinosaur cries.
"Kash! You check the back, we'll check out here!" Darius shouted as Kash offered no response and began heading to the back.
Ben then emerged from his hiding spot and ran up to them.
"Come on! Let's go before he realizes the trick." Ben said as they were all in agreement.
"Hey!" Kash shouted as he came into view with the tablet in hand, a crazed expression on his face.
The boys then closed the door as he charged towards them.
Ali then took a boulder and smashed the lock system so Kash would be trapped inside.
They all listened as Kash began yelling and slamming his fists against the door angrily.
"You little bastards think you're smart? You're all going down you hear me? Gah!" Kash shouted as he continued losing his mind.
"Let's get out of here." Ali said with a smirk as they turned and left.
Nursery
The three boys entered the nursery as they all took notice of Firecracker sitting in her cage again, solemnly.
Ben walked up to her with a soft smile as she bleeted gleefully when she realized her friends had come to save her.
Ali and Darius stayed back with smirks as Ben coddled Firecracker.
"Hey girl! You still seem so happy." Ben said with a chuckle as the Brachiosaurus charged at him.
"Woah!" He dodged out of her way.
"Learned my lesson, not gonna get me agai-ack!" Ben exclaimed as Firecracker spun and swiped him to the ground with her tail.
"You were saying?" Ali questioned Ben as he walked up to stand over him.
"Okay, okay I deserved that one Firecracker...listen, I know I messed up but, I tried to keep you at a distance so that neither of us would get hurt, but that didn't work so well, did it? I promise, I'll never let anyone else hurt you again." Ben said as he rubbed her snout.
"You remind me of her, you got a lot of guts kid, and fire...yea-woah!" Ben exclaimed as Firecracker tackled him and they began playing once more.
Darius and Ali couldn't help but smile at the exchange...it was a nice change of pace compared the recent days they've all been through.
The Cave
The Sun was setting as the others were anxiously waiting for their friends to come back.
When Mae gasped and gestured forward they were all in glee to see Ben, Firecracker, Ali AND Darius running towards them.
"We made it!" Darius exclaimed happily.
"Yes! Woohoo!" Kenji shouted as everyone minus Brooklynn ran up to them.
Yasmina and Ali immediately engulfed eachother in firm embraces.
"I knew you'd do it." She said to him as he smiled at her.
"Thanks for always having faith in me." Ali said as he heard a familiar bleet, it was Angel who tilted her head at him.
"I missed you too don't worry." Ali said as he knelt down and stroked her head.
Darius smiled as everyone was evidently happy to not only have Firecracker and Ali back, but him back after all this time as well.
He then turned to the face he missed the most...the pinkette was seemingly waiting for him to notice her.
"Brooklynn-" Darius was cutoff as she immediately lunged at him with a strong hug following.
"You have no idea how good it feels to know you're back for good this time." She said as he returned the hug.
"You see this Firecracker? You caused this pool of mushiness and lovey dovey nonsense!" Ben shouted as she barked at him.
"Don't give me that! It's true!" He continued as everyone laughed at him.
"Looks like someone ended up getting attached after all." Yasmina said as Ali smiled.
"More than you know it." He replied to her.
"Incredible...you are all so incredible." Mae said as she stood up huskily and walked up to them.
"Woahhh, since when did you start moving around again?" Ali questioned Mae as she chuckled.
The entire group then burst into laughter when Mae actually faltered a bit before catching herself.
"Looks like I'm not as able as I thought." She said with a weak chuckle.
Things were settled for now...and even though he was trapped...they still had to take Kash down, once and for all.
