Jungle Biome
The group was finally all together...including Darius, even though things weren't the best they could be, they were all happ-
"Can someone shut that garbage off, please?" Ali questioned as evergone covered their ears from the loud heavy metal music the hacked BRAD-X was blasting through the air.
"BRAD! That's enough!" Darius shouted as the machine finally stopped the music and they all took a chance to relax.
"Sorry guys...guess Kash only has one song loaded on this thing." Darius said as everyone deadpanned at him.
"Not to worry!" The now healthy Mae began.
"Hearing you lot locked Kash away is music enough to my ears." Mae said as she rested her elbow on Ali's shoulder and they shared a small smile.
The group then gave cheers to her proclamation, sure they still needed to figure out what to do next, but atleast for now Kash would be locked away, the celebration was excused.
"Good to have you back Ma-ack!" Ali exclaimed as Angel ran into his legs causing him to fall over with a groan.
The group laughed at his expense as he looked up at the sky in annoyance.
"Oh, get up and stop whining." Brooklynn said as she pulled the Allstar up by his arm.
"Yea I'd like to see you get tackled by Angel 3 times a day and see how you'd react." Ali mumbled as he walked up to Yasmina.
"Hey Kenj, where's Rebel?" Sammy questioned her boyfriend as he looked around in confusion.
The two then began searching for the little mischievous hybrid.
As they both rounded a tree they were ecstatic to find the little guy sleeping peacefully behind the tree.
"Ofcourse he had to take a nap, like father like son." Kenji said as he feigned some tears.
"Aw Kenj, he looks just like you when you're really tired and do that little slobber, droo-" Kenji cuts Sammy off.
"Okay I get it! I sleep like an old man! Ali has told me a thousand times!" Kenji shouted as Sammy chuckled at his expense before shushing him.
"Shh, don't startle Rebel!" She yelled in a hushed tone.
"So how are we supposed to get him up?" Kenji questioned Sammy.
"Ya know, try a more gentle approach? See my Abuelo, he used to be really loud to get us up in the morning, but my abuela used to do this..." Sammy trailed off as she kneeled besides Rebel and began stroking his back.
"Rise and shine my little cempaschusil...the Sun is shinin on ya." Sammy said as Rebel stirred awake and immediately began nuzzling into her when he realized who had woke him up.
Kenji was in awe as he watched Sammy giggle and play with the little dinosaur...he never got to experience that with his mother...so it was nice to see Rebel get this chance...even if he didn't share the same DNA as Sammy...they had a bond.
"Wow." Was all the rich boy could say as he hugged Sammy from behind much to the latter's shock.
"Oh! Kenji...why are you doing that so suddenly..." Sammy trailed off with a hidden blush.
"I'm sorry! I just...I love you, Sammy." Kenji said as the Texan couldn't even TRY to hide the smile that crept onto her face.
"I love you more Kenj." Sammy said as she rested her head on his shoulder.
They then heard their friends laughing loudly and messing around as they turned to the group.
"We should probably bring Rebel back to them." Kenji said as Sammy nodded and they began making their way back to the group.
"Firecracker! Stop!" Ben shouted as he chased the baby Brachiosaurus around.
"She has so much energy...how do you think she'd do in track?" Yasmina questioned Ali who was kneeling down next to Angel.
Despite any previous claims otherwise, the Allstar knew he liked Angel, no matter how many times she tackled him.
"Probably beat your times, who knows?" Ali questioned as Yasmina arched a brow.
"Let's not get too ahead of ourselves now." She said with a chuckle.
Before anything can be said, Angel bleeted in distress and dropped down on her stomach.
Yasmina gasped and immediately ran over to them to inspect her.
"What the...what's happening?" Kenji questioned loudly as the same issue had befallen Rebel.
"Guys, I think something's wrong with the babies, what's happening Mae?" Sammy questioned the doctor as they all tried not to panick.
"Yea, Firecracker is so energetic but the Spino babies...they just don't seem to have the same energy as they did before." Darius said as Ali stood up from Angel and walked over to Mae who wore a wary expression.
"Yea, F.C. is runnin around here like this is her house." Ali said as he crossed his arms.
"Wait, that's it!" Mae shouted as they all turned to her.
"The Spinoceratops are hybrids...but look at their coloration...I don't think they are meant to live in a Junglesque habitat." Mae deducted as they all thought it over...it did make sense.
"But Spinoceratops live in the Jungle, why isn't it working for them?" Sammy questioned the doctor.
"Well they are also half Spinosaurus, so maybe the desert biome would work?" Brooklynn questioned as she rested her elbow on Darius' shoulder.
"Works for me." Yasmina said with a shrug, completely negating the fact there was a 50 foot crocodile with a fin living there...that being the Spinosaurus ofcourse.
"Okay so you girls take the kids to the desert, Darius, Kenji and I will stay here and wait for you guys." Ali said as the girls nodded.
"Aww, look guys, he started calling them kids." Brooklynn said as Ali shook his head at her.
"Bye." He turned as Yasmina gave him a hug which he returned.
"Be safe out there Sammy." Kenji said as the Texan smiled at him.
"You know I will be." Sammy reassured him.
"You got this right Brook?" Darius questioned the pinkette.
"Ofcourse I do." Brooklynn said with a smile as the girls left with the Spinoceratops.
They all watched as they got further and further away before a question arose.
"Now what do we do?" Kenji questioned the trio as they all were stumped in that department.
"Well...we can talk about cool dinosaur poop facts again?" Darius suggested as Ali deadpanned.
"I think I'll pass on that...amazing suggestion this once." The allstar said as he pulled Darius into a half hug.
"Mae and I are heading to the med bay!" They heard Ben shout as they all turned to him.
"Cool! Be careful!" Darius shouted as the three boys waved at them.
Now that Ben, Mae, and Firecracker had left, they were really alone...well, unless you count the BRAD-X.
"Ya know, we probably shoulda just went with the girls...this is gonna be super boring." Kenji said with an exasperated sigh.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but...it's so weird when we're not running for our lives at all hours of the day..." Ali said as he sat on a rock.
"Is this what it feels like to be...normal?" Darius questioned as all of their eyes widened.
"Yuck." They all simultaneously shuddered at the thought of going back to being boring...regular teens.
It was weird though...they wanted to escape this survival lifestyle and go back home to their families safe...but it just wouldn't feel the same.
"You guys wanna play 21 questions?" Kenji questioned as Ali nodded.
"And no dino factoid questions!" Kenji shouted as Darius visibily deflated...
"I'll start, who are your favorite action heroes and why?" Kenji questioned as both boys arched their brows.
"What typa lame ass quest-" Ali is cutoff by the BRAD-X as an alarm trilled from it.
"Reminder to feed Kash! Reminder to feed Kash!" The machine shouted.
"Braddd! Stop!" Darius shouted as the BRAD-X finally shut up.
"You know, I still didn't quite grasp why exactly we needed to feed Kash, we could just leave him for dead and SHUT this thing off." Ali emphasized as he gestured to the robot.
"Come on, you know we wouldn't be any better than him if we left him to die." Darius reminded Ali.
"Yup, let's go feed that tattooed weasel." Kenji said with a sigh.
"Fine, let's just get this over with." Ali said as he crossed his arms.
Did Kash really deserve to eat?
Desert
The girls had brought Rebel and Angel into the desert, after making sure the Spinosaurus wasn't in sight ofcourse.
When the two baby dinos ran out in to the desert and began playing all three girls lit up.
"Woah, looks like they're right at ho-" Yasmina cuts herself off as the babies collapse onto their stomachs again in exhaustion.
"And I spoke too soon." Yasmina said as they all deflated and ran over to the babies to check on them.
"Oookay..." Brooklynn began as Yasmina tended to Angel and Sammy tended to Rebel.
"So that's a no on the desert." Brooklynn deducted.
"Aww, they're miserable." Sammy said solemnly.
"Poor babies." Yasmina said as she hugged Angel's frilled head.
Brooklynn looked around in thought...she had to think of something quick to get the group's morale back up.
"Hey...when we were in the Arctic with Kenji...Rebel was super playful, plus look at them...it's like Mae said, their coloration blends right in with the snow and ice...sorry guys, I shoulda thought of that sooner." Brooklynn said as she huffed.
"Aww, it's okay, you didn't know until you knew, you can't beat yourself up about this." Yasmina said as Brooklynn's eyes widened.
Sammy realized what Yasmina was doing, ever since they all saw Brooklynn breakdown in Ali's arms over the thought of failing the group...they knew she needed extra reassurance in her purpose.
"Wait, I wasn't beating myself-" Sammy cuts Brooklynn off.
"You're right Yas! Good job Brooklynn!" Sammy shouted as the pinkette arched a brow at her.
"Uh...yea...yea! Thanks girls! I appreciate this, Yas." Brooklynn said as Yasmin smiled at her.
Then before anything else can be said they heard heavy stomps approaching them which put the trio on edge.
They all looked off into the distance to notice and all too familiar sail coming their way.
The Spinosaurus immediately stopped once it notices it's prey from previously standing in fear...two new faces to the mix...infants.
Yasmina felt her heart drop to her stomach...but she had to protect Angel...she couldn't afford to panick right now.
The dinosaur roared loudly as the group was startled by this.
"Run!" Brooklynn shouted as the entire group began running to the airlock and the Spinosaurus immediately gave chase.
As they all piled into the airlock, Yasmina turns around to notice the Spinosaurus stick it's clawed forelimb through the closing door.
Luckily the door was able to close when the beast pulled it's arm out again.
They all breathed raggedly as they listened to the Spinosaurus' angered roars from the other end of the door.
Yasmina immediately wrapped Angel in a hug once they didn't hear the Spinosaurus roaring anymore...he had given up thankfully.
Sammy and Brooklynn watched as Yasmina breathed heavily.
The trackstar was more terrified than ever just now...but not just for herself...but for Angel as well.
The Boys
As the trio walked through the forest biome to go feed Kash, Kenji was still pressuring the other two about his question.
"You guys still haven't told me your favorite action heroes ya know?" Kenji questioned them.
"Alright, alright, I'd have to say Dr. Alan Grant." Darius said as the other two boys looked at him confusion.
"He is NOT an action hero, pick someone else!" Kenji shouted as Darius shrugged.
"I really don't look up to anyone but him." The dino nerd stated as Kenji groaned.
"Ali, can you please answer and save this for me? I'm gonna die from the lameism." Kenji said as he rubbed his temples.
"Okay fine bruh, James Bond, there, are you happy?" Ali questioned him as Darius chuckled at his antics.
"Eh, boooring, you're so basic." Kenji said as allstar arched a brow at him.
"You ask me my favorite action hero then call me boring when I answer...you know what, who's yours? Huh?" Ali questioned as he crossed his arms and they all continued trekking through the forest.
"I'm sooo glad you asked." Kenji began as Ali rolled his eyes.
"Obviously either Dante Matthews or Oliver Graham-" Ali cuts Kenji off with a halting hand.
"Wait, wait, you're talking about the two dudes from that lame ass spinoff of Ester Stone:Highschool P.I.? Ewww, you actually enjoyed the spin off?" Ali questioned as they walked on.
"Yes! It was a great addition to the show! What's wrong with spinoffs?" Kenji questioned his dreadheaded friend.
"There's nothing wrong with spinoffs in particular, if they are done CORRECTLY and actually make sense when compared to the plot of the ORIGINAL show, but most spinoffs make zero sense or have barely anything to do with the first show's plot and honestly just become a means for writers to milk a show and turn it into trash." Ali finished as Darius and Kenji could only blink in disbelief.
"Wow...you really don't like spinoffs." Darius deducted as Ali sighed and walked ahead.
"I do like spinoffs, I just don't like shows that are dragged on for too long, conversation over." The allstar dismissed the convo.
"Psssh, hater." Kenji said as they made it to the cave.
Darius gasped as he was the first to notice...the door was open...Kash was free.
Kenji and Ali were still going back and forth about the Ester Stone spin off but when they heard Darius gasped they immediately locked on to him.
"The door's open." Darius revealed as they now gasped as well.
"What? How did he..." Ali trailed off as they all walked up to the door together.
"How did he get out?" Kenji shouted as they ran into the cave and began searching around frantically.
"The better question is where the hell did he go? He knows about us now so we need to know what his next move could be and where." Ali divised as Darius grabbed his own head.
"I don't know where he could be, his compound, his lab, the med bay or..." Darius trailed off as they all gasped in realization.
If Kash really was free then...
"Ben and Mae!" All three boys shouted simultaneously before turning and making a break for the exit.
They had to get to Ben and Mae before the madman did.
The two would have no means of defending themselves...they were too busy tending to Firecracker by now probably, and had no idea Kash was free as well...a surprise attack would be simple for the man.
Kash's Compound
The boys had made a huge break for the compound.
They tried to stay as quiet and diligent as possible as they snuck their way through the halls of the building.
"Okay, I don't think Kash is here." Ali began.
"Kenji, you can go check on Ben and Mae in the med bay, in case Kash got to them or is on his way there." Ali continued as Kenji nodded.
"Good luck." The allstar said to Kenji who arched a brow and struck a hero pose.
"I'm not gonna need it." He said in a grave voice and an Australian accent.
"Will just go already." Ali said as he shook his head at the dope.
"Fineee, lame." Kenji said as he ran off.
"Come on, give me cover while I disable the drones." Darius said to Ali who nodded as they made a break for the control room.
When they made it to the control room they noticed the modem.
"Check it boss." They gasped at the all too familiar voice...it was Kash.
"Hide." Ali urged Darius as they leaped over a desk and hid behind it.
The two boys unconciously held onto eachother as they tried to stay perfectly still.
"We could just get rid of the Kentro." Kash continued his point from earlier as he walked in to the room, seemingly speaking to someone.
"Dad please don't listen to him, this idea is even more stupid than his bionic dino-rama, idea." An unfamiliar feminine voice said as Ali and Darius looked at eachother in confusion.
"You always call my ideas stupid!" Kash shouted at the girl as she entered the room besides a man...no doubt her father.
"She has a point...your ideas are very stupid Kash." The man said flatly as Kash growled at the girl who was smirking at him.
"You can't even say you're smarter than my daughter, you were outsmarted by a child that was even younger than her." The man continued berating Kash as Darius and Ali felt their breaths become more ragged...they wanted to see who these new people were but...that would be too risky.
"Go." Ali whispered to Darius as he noticed the door as left opened and the two began moving slowly to the door.
They then stop as they tried to get a clear look of the two new faces...unfortunately both of them had their backs turned.
"Look dad, the assets in the new biome are eating everything in sight...at this rate they'll all die." The girl told her father who hummed in thought.
"Then let's see how two tons of Kentrosaurus will alleviate them.." Kash's boss said.
"Wait boss, you released those things already?" Kash questioned him.
"I haven't figured out a way to contain them yet and the drones won't work because-" The man cuts Kash off.
"That's why WE won't be there Kash, the BRADs will take care of the new assets while we prep the forest biome for the new presentation." The man said as he began walking along with his daughter and Kash towards the exit.
Ali and Darius panicked and immediately scrambled back to their original hiding spot.
"Wait!" The girl shouted as the three stopped.
"What is it?" Her father questioned her.
"Something's wrong here..." She trailed off as she eyed the room and activated the electricity blaster she had on her wrist.
"What are you talking about?" Kash questioned in a bored tone.
"Can you shhh for a second?" The girl questioned as she stalked around the desk where Darius and Ali were.
The boys panicked...if she caught them it was over.
Their heart rates began to speed up as with every...pulsating...strong thump of theit heart...she stepped closer and closer to their position.
Darius and Ali both broke in to a sweat as they closed their eyes and tigetened their grip on one another.
"There's something right...here!" She shouted as she sent a blast of electricity towards the floor...not even 4 feet away from the boys.
Fortunately, she didn't see them, she had just fired at a rat which was now dead...
"I really hate the pests on this island." She said before walking back over to Kash and her father.
"You did all that for a rat?" Kash shouted as the girl brushed him off rudely and left the room.
"Ya know boss, I understand that's your kid and all but she's gonna do something stupid with those blaster-ack!" Kash exclaimed as his boss grabbed him by the neck and pressed him against the wall irately.
"You will do well to watch how you speak about my daughter in my presence Kash, I'm not above murdering you for your insolence...but I will certainly not tolerate you disrespecting her in front of me." The boss stated firmly as Kash struggled against his hold.
"And need I remind you again, even at 14 years old she is far smarter than you...and when I give her an order...she gets it done, while she is here, she is your superior." The boss finished as he let Kash go and exited the room.
Kash took a second to regain his breath before he gained an irate look.
He was a grown man...and he had to submit in power to a 14 year old girl?
The madman growled to himself before leaving the room to follow his boss.
Darius and Ali were still in the room listening to the entire exchange...their breaths were starting to be a bit more relaxed but that entire fiasco was so nerve racking.
Ali eyed the dead rat on the floor...it's mangled body and the scent of it's burning flesh almost made his stomach churn...she just killed it, with no ounce of remorse.
"Who were they...?" Darius questioned after he found his voice.
"I...I don't know but, we still gotta shur those drones-" Ali cuts himself off as he heard the doors click.
"Shit, hi-" This time the voice that came with the person that opened the door cuts him off.
"Ta-da!" Kenji exclaimed gleefully as they beamed onced they recognized him.
"Woah, what's up with you guys?" Kenji questioned them with a chuckle as they were still breathing heavy and holding onto eachother.
Ali realized this as he swiftly shoved Darius off of him and stood up.
"Shutup Kenji, if a word of this gets out I'm gonna end you." The allstar said as Kenji laughed at the statement before walking over to them.
The allstar and the rich boy then help Darius, who was still heavily breathing, to his feet.
"Now, about those drones." Ali said to Darius.
The Arctic
The girls had brought Angel and Rebel to the Arctic biome safely...and it was definitely safe to say this was home to them as they frolicked and played in the snow in gayness.
Ofcourse the girls were in a snowglider watching this from a far as they were certainly aware of the fact the way they were dressed was NOT adequate for the ice box.
"Aw, they look so at home." Brooklynn said as she dreamily watched them play.
Suddenly the glider is started up as Sammy and Brooklynn snapped their heads to Yasmina.
"Okay, you guys ready to go?" She questioned them.
"What?" Brooklynn asked incredulously.
"No!" Sammy shouted in terror.
"Come on...we all know leaving them here is the best thing for them...it also makes this easier..." Yasmina revealed as Sammy gasped in realization.
"Oh, you don't want to..." Sammy trailed off as Yasmina looked down.
"Yas, don't worry, it's hard for me too, Kenji and I formed a genuine bond with Rebel, and I see how you look at Ali and Angel when they play, it's a nice feeling isn't it?" Sammy questioned as Yasmina nodded with a smile.
"We understand if you wanna leave fast to rip the bandaid off quicker Yas." Brooklynn added in as Yasmina took one last look at Angel who was play fighting with Rebel.
"I'm gonna miss them...so much...you know what, we can stay for a little." Yasmina stated with a small smile on her face.
"Woo!" Brooklynn cheered as they all shared a hug and continued watching the dino babies play.
This would be goodbye...but it didn't have to be an immediate goodbye.
Ben and Mae
The two were now outside of Kash's compound with Firecracker as the baby dino grazed on some ferns.
They were waiting for the three boys to come out of the compound.
Ben was the first to notice them run out of the compound.
"Here they come." He alerted Mae who gasped and turned to them as they ran up.
"Are you boys alright? Kenji told us that Kash escaped." Mae informed them as they took a second to regain their breaths.
"Kash's boss is here, and he has his daughter with him too." Darius revealed as Mae gasped.
"The president of Mantah Corp? Is he as heartless as Kash?" Mae questioned them.
"Try soul less...and his daughter seems to be just as bad." Ali emphasized.
"Mae, he's having the BRADs take Piecrce to a new biome with new assets." Darius began as Mae gasped.
"They're using him to feed the new assets..." Ali revealed as both Ben AND Mae were in disbelief.
"What?" They simultaneously yelled.
"New biome?" Ben questioned.
"It was under construction for a while but they must've finished it, the airlock is just through these trees." Mae said as she gestured to the left.
"We've got to go save Pierce." The woman urged them.
"We will Mae, you and Ben can go stall the BRADs, the three of us will see what we can do against these new dinos." Ali said as he gestured to himself, Darius and Kenji.
"Hey wait, shouldn't we put this to a vote? How come I have dino duty?" Kenji questioned incredulously.
"Aren't you supposed to be brave Mr. Graham? Come on." Ali said as he pulled Kenji into a half hug.
"Fineee." Kenji said with a groan as everyone chuckled at him.
"Good luck guys." Darius said as Mae and Ben nodded before running off.
"Come on." Ali said to Darius and Kenji as he and the rich boy began moving forward.
"Wait guys..." Darius began as they stopped in their tracks.
"Kash sounded terrified of the new dinos...and needed an army of BRADs to protect him...shouldn't we be worried about them too?" Darius questioned his friends.
"You make a good point..." Ali trailed off as Kenji beamed.
"I have the perfect plan!" Kenji shouted as he ran off in the other direction.
Darius and Ali look at eachother before shrugging, they then ran after him.
Later
So the plan was fairly simple, yea? After a little endeavor, the three boys were walking through the air lock, each with bags and wooden shields in hand.
Darius had a wary expression on his face...he was not too sure about this.
"So lemme get this straight Kenji, we're gonna face these new, possibly terrifying dinos, with wooden boards and shockers? This is the master plan?" Ali questioned the rich boy who smirked in response.
"As Dante Mathews would say...yea." Kenji responded with his Australian accent.
"Wow, totally reassured with that jawdropping accent if yours." Ali said as he walked out of the air lock into the new biome, Darius in tow.
"Wait you mean it? I've been working on it for ages!" Kenji exclaimed as he followed after.
"Will you keep it down Dante? We still don't know what's out here." Darius said as they all took in the surroundings...it was a dark and misty swamp like biome.
"The girls are going to kill us if we die here so uh, be careful guys." Ali informed them as they trekked lightly.
"Wait why?" Darius questioned as Kenji arched a brow.
"Because they care about us? Dude there's no way you're that oblivious, Brooklynn is-mph!" Kenji is cutoff as Ali covers his mouth, causing his voice to be muffled.
The allstar then cleared his throat to remind Kenji that it wasn't there place to tell Darius how Brooklynn felt about him.
"What?" Darius questioned in confusion.
"Nothing...let's just go and stop wasting time." Ali said as he lets go of Kenji and they began walking again.
'Why are they acting so weird...what do they know that I don't know?' Darius mentally questioned.
Eventually, the trio couldn't but get more and more uneasy with every step...the swamp just seemed to get creepier the further you advanced into it.
"Why are those trees growing like that?" Kenji questioned as he shuddered.
"I know right? Never seen a tree with the roots actually showing but still standing...uber freaky bruh." Ali said as the two boys could not for the life of them shake the crawly feeling of the terrain off.
Even though Darius was afraid of the new dinosaurs in question...he wasn't as uneasy about the swamo biome seeing as he was from South Carolina...Kenji and Ali were city dwellers, this stuff was weird to them.
"We gotta stay sharp guys..." Darius reminded them.
"I know, I know, but why can't it ever be some place nice? Like a field of cuddly bunnies biome?" Kenji questioned...but unfortunately their conversation was cut short due to a very unnerving whistle and the sound of footsteps running around in front of them.
The trio paused and looked ahead warily at the bushes.
"What the hell was that?" Kenji questioned as they all instinctively raised the shields.
"I don't know..." Darius trailed off.
"Let's keep moving, we won't gain anything from standing around waiting to become lunch." Ali said as they began walking forward again, even more cautious than before.
Unfortunately...they failed to realize that they were being traced by an unknown predator of sorts.
As the boys go to a slightly more opened area they began to relax a bit but...that relaxation was short lived as a medium sized theropod dinosaur leaped out in front of them.
"Oh no!" Darius exclaimed as they all raised their shields defensively, the dinosaur tilting it's head simultaneously.
"It's a Dilophosaurus...these are the new assets." Darius informed his friends as he realized the danger they were now in.
"Aye atleast they don't hunt in..." Ali trailed off as two more Dilophosauruses popped out of the bushes with whistles.
"Packs." He finished through gritted teeth as the three dinosaurs now stood side by side in front of the wary boys.
The standoff was only for about 5 seconds...but it felt like 5 years.
That's when the creature suddenly hissed loudly at them and spread it's large frills out irately.
Then without warning, the Dilophosaurus' began spitting black venom at the group as they fortunately blocked the projectiles with the wooden shields.
"They spit poisonus venom!" Darius shouted.
"Yea! We noticed!" Kenji shouted as even more Dilophosauruses appeared with loud hisses and screeches.
"Run!" The rich boy then shouted as the boys turned and ran away from the Dilophosauruses frantically.
"Don't let the venom touch your skin or face!" Darius shouted as the dinosaurs gave chase immediately.
"You think we were planning to?" Ali shouted back as they avoided more of the venom that was spat at them and tried to lose the dinosaurs.
These things were relentless...the entire chase was for about 2 minutes, even at full sprint they weren't tired and the boys were starting to feel the affects of it.
Suddenly they all noticed up ahead that Pierce, along with Mae and Ben were raised into the biome with the use of a feeding platform.
The trio smiled at Ben and Mae before stopping and standing in front of Pierce defensively.
Since they had more numbers now, they weren't going to let some little Dilophosauruses push them around.
"Yea!" Kenji shouted as the Dilophosauruses continued charging.
"Come on!" Ali urged them as he raised the shield.
The dinosaurs spat more venom as they all blocked it once more.
"Shocking time!" Kenji shouted as he reached into his bag and brandished a shocker.
He then threw it directly at the lead Dilophosaurus as the device only struck the dinosaur in the head...no shock ensued.
"Uh oh." Kenji said as everyone gained wary expressions.
"I guess they only work when the BRADs charge them up and fire them." Darius deducted shakily.
"Oh no..." Mae said as she held onto Pierce.
"Yup, we're dead." Ali said as the Dilophosauruses began menacingly advancing the group.
However right as the dinosaurs were about to lunge at them, a pair of bright headlights and a loud horn sounded through the swamp.
Everyone, including the Dilophosauruses turned to notice Brooklynn, Sammy and Yasmina in the snow glider coming full speed towards the dinosaurs.
"Woo! Yea!" Sammy cheered as Brooklynn pressed the gas.
"Yea! Perfect timing girls!" Ali shouted as they all cheered the girls on.
Brooklynn blared the horn and revved the engine as loud as she could as this effectively struck fear into the Dilophosauruses, causing them to run away.
"Wooooo!" The entire group whooped and hollered triumphantly.
"Now that's what I call girl power." Mae said as she crossed her arms.
"We did it!" Darius exclaimed as the girls got out of the gliders and immediately ran up to them.
The dino nerd was taken back when the pinkette slammed into him with a hug as she shook him around.
"Looks like I made it just in time." Brooklynn said as they both chuckled.
"Yea...you always do." Darius said as he returned the hug.
"Kenji Kon! Don't you ever do something so wreckless like that ever again! Do you hear me mister?" Sammy questioned Kenji as she kept him wrapped in a tight embrace.
"Yes...but...chest...stomach...can't...breathe!" Kenji exclaimed as Sammy let him go finally so he can regrain his breath.
Yasmina walked up to Ali as they both smiled fondly at eachother.
The two then brung their foreheads together as they always do to signify their connection never being broken.
"I know, I know, what I did was stupid and wreckless but, you know I don't regret doing it." Ali said as Yasmina's smile widened.
"Yea I know, I'm just glad you know it was stupid too." The trackstar said as they separated and she pecked his cheek.
"You said bye to Angel for me?" Ali questioned her as she nodded.
"Yup, she said she's gonna miss you whatever her bleeting meant at the mention of your name." Yasmina said as they both shared a laugh before the group congregated.
They were all happy to be alive and to be together again...
"Hey Brook." Ali called out as the pinkette turned away from Darius to face him.
"How'd you know we would be here? This is almost too good to be true." Ali said with a chuckle.
"What are you talking about G? You guys sent the BRAD-X to get us, stop playing around." Brooklynn said with a chuckle of her own.
"No we didn't..." Kenji trailed off with an arched brow.
"It's a trap!" Darius exclaimed as realizing struck the entire group.
"What?" Yasmina questioned in a hushed tone as everyone got on the defensive.
Within almost an instant, dozens of BRAD-Xes emerged from the swamp bushes and surrounded the group...eyes glowing in that deep crimson color.
And of course...right after them came Kash.
"You were right boss...the dumb kids did have help." Kash said to his boss who had yet to emerge as well.
"You wouldn't known that if you had a brain, Kash." The man's daughter said as they began walking through the fog and onto the scene.
"You kids shouldn't leave important devices like this lying around..." The man trailed off as he along with his daughter appeared.
Kenji gasped as he instantly recognized the faces...he didn't want to...but he did.
The girl and her father gasped as well when they noticed Kenji amongst the group.
"Dad...Karina?" Kenji questioned as the rest of the camp fam gasped as well.
"Kenji?" The now dubbed Karina questioned back as everyone was left in utter shocked.
Things just got a whole lot...weirder.
