Swamp Biome
No one could believe it...no human being on either side could keep their mouth closed...Kenji himself was the most shocked.
There before him was his sister, Karina Kon, last time he'd seen her she was still 12 years old and much shorter, but she was 14 by now he thought.
Her brown hair flowed intricately as she was too shocked to make a move.

His father was standing besides her...looking at him as if he had grown two heads, then again so was everybody else.
Nobody could believe it, and they didn't know what to feel...Kenji's sister...his dad, they were the people that ran this God forsaken company, it just didn't make sense.
Ali didn't know what to feel about everything that was currently transpiring.
He knew Kenji's dad wasn't the best...but to run Mantah Corp? The Allstar couldn't wrap his head around it...and Kenji had a sister this entire time? How come he never mentioned her, she didn't look too far from their age either, definitely around 14 or so.
Nobody was more conflicted than Sammy, the people who blackmailed her family...almost got rid of their farm, were led by Kenji's father? She didn't want to believe this at all.
"I...I..." Kenji tried to find some words but when his sister ran forward and drew him into a large embrace he fell completely silent.
For one, he still couldn't believe this, and for two, he couldn't recall the last time he and Karina had hugged...
"We...We thought we lost you, Kenj." She said to him as he returned the embrace and tightened it.
"I still can't believe it, my son...my son is alive." Daniel said as he dropped his tablet and immediately ran over to Kenji and Karina.
"Dad..." Kenji trailed off with a smile, his emotions were all over the place now.
"No way." Was all Darius could say.
"Kenji's sister and his father were the mystery voices..." Brooklynn trailed off from besides the dino nerd.
Yasmina looked at Ali, the latter had yet to take his gaze off of Daniel...what was he thinking about?
Sammy cleared her throat before walking up to Kenji and grabbing onto his arm.
"It is sooo nice to finally meet Kenji's family, Karina was it? And ofcourse you too Mr. Kon, hi, I'm Sammy Gutierrez." Sammy began as Daniel and Karina realized almost immediately.
"Kenji is she your..." Daniel trailed off as he noticed his son blush and nod.
"Wow, you seem like a nice young lady as well, congratulations son." Daniel congratulated his son as he smiled and pulled Sammy a little closer.
"Atleast now someone else will have to deal with Kenji's antics, better you than me." Karina said with a smile as Sammy shook her head with a chuckle and Kenji rolled his eyes.
"She's funny." Sammy said in between laughs.
"Anddd my sister is back to normal." Kenji droned out.
Ali was still eyeing Daniel, the man didn't seem evil in this light...and his daughter seemed like a regular teenager, but something was still off, he'd have to figure it out later.
"Aye, sorry to break up the family reunion and whatnot but, do you mind calling the droid puppies off?" Ali questioned as he gestured to all the BRAD-Xes that surrounded them, eyes glowing a menacing red.
"Ah right Mr...sorry I didn't quite catch your name young man." Daniel said as Ali crossed his arms and eyed Karina who was seemingly eyeing him just as much.
"Barlett, Ali Barlett." Ali answered curtly.
"Right, Ali thank you, Kash, have the BRADs stand down." Daniel ordered him.
Kash then did as he was told and all the BRADs were put on passive mode.
Now the group could have a firm, calm conversation.
"Wait dad, what are you guys even doing on this island?" Kenji questioned as he gestured to his family.
"It's a long story Kenji." Daniel said as Sammy got closer to Kenji and he looked at her warily.
"I think we have time to hear it." Ali said as Yasmina tapped his shoulder and shushed him from saying something stupid.
"Hey, do I know you?" Kash randomly called out to Sammy after eyeing her, the latter immediately tensed at his addressing of her and immediately glared at him.
"Oh, you're gonna remember me real soon-" Sammy cuts herself off as Kenji held her back to keep the situation calm.
"Dad, I thought you worked with Masrani, you run Mantah Corp now? And you're bringing Karina to this place?" Kenji questioned as Karina frowned at him slightly, why was he talking as if she wasn't more capable than him?
"Yes Kenji, a lot has changed, and your sister has proven to be very valuable in the field." Daniel admitted as his daughter smirked at this praise.
Kenji didn't know how to feel about it, he was proud of his sister...but also a tad bit jealous, his father once told him he couldn't even be trusted to eat with a fork...yet the man trusts his 14 year old daughter to come to a dinosaur infested island.
Ali on the other hand did not share the sentiments as Kenji.
'This guy...he talks about his own daughter as if she's an asset or a hired worker...valuable in the field?' Ali mentally questioned the man's view of his own child.
"I took over at Mantah Corp after Jurassic World went down." Daniel continued his point from earlier.
"So, you run the island?" Darius questioned.
"You're behind the dino fights?" Brooklynn added.
"You let him take Ali and Darius as prisoners?" Yasmina questioned Daniel as she gestured to Kash.
"You made these death robots?" Ben added.
"And are you aware he tried to kill me?" Mae finally spoke up.
Karina was taken back by this, she'd never seen her father so tense in any situation, she didn't know about any of the stuff they were asking about but...it seemed like her father was panicking about it.
Ali frowned at Daniel who's eyes seemingly widened at this news...this was good though, the former definitely could not WAIT to hear how the man could explain any of these questions.
"You...did what?" Daniel almost shouted as he rounded on Kash irately...he had figured out a way to manipulate this situation, and the idiot that was Kash would be the scapegoat.
Karina, and everyone else present had bought it...even Kash was panicking now as if he didn't know Daniel played a part in it.
"I did what had to be done." Kash said firmly as his boss approached him menacingly.
"I'm pretty sure holding people as hostage and trying to kill people isn't a part of maintaining this island, Kash." Karina said as she crossed her arms and he glared at her.
He immediately straightened up when he noticed Daniel was right in front of him now with a firm grimace.
"It would appear I have given you too much freedom, Kash." Daniel said as he brown eyes bored holes into Kash's soul.
"Too much freedom?" Kash repeated irately.
"You mean that you were happy to sit back while I did all the hard work, you know what?" Kash questioned as he began pressing keys on his tablet.
"Forget this, this is my island." He began as he used the tablet to order the BRAD to take everyone down.
They all tensed as the droids began menacingly approaching them.
"Make sure you make Daniel's death the slowest...and tape Karina's mouth shut! I'm tired of her slick remarks!" Kash shouted as everyone else were still defensively backing into eachother.
Ali held onto Yasmina as his head was now on a swivel, they had the most BRADs behind them since they were at the back of the group.
"Dad?" Kenji questioned as his father had the calmest facial expression in this situation.
"Executive override 916." Daniel said flatly with a deadpan as every single BRAD was set back to neutral much to Kash's dismay and confusion.
"You didn't really think I'd give you total control of MY technology, did you? Don't tell me you're that stupid Kash...I had some hope for you atleast." Daniel taunted as Kash's expression grew weary.
Kash then grunted before making a run for it, as he tried to bolt through the group and escape he tackles Mae to the ground.
"Mae!" Ali shouted as the woman held onto her stomach in pain.
"I'll get him dad!" Kenji shouted as his father gasped and grabbed on to his hand.
"Take him!" Daniel ordered the BRADs as one immediately shot Kash in the back with a stun bullet.
The group watched as the man fell to the ground groaning in pain, the BRADs then began dragging him away to be jailed...hopefully for good this time.
"He so deserved that." Karina said with a deadpan as she walked up to Kash who was being dragged away.
"By the way, your tattoo sucks, it is way too bright." She said with a shrug as he glared at her angrily.
"I swear...when I get out..." Kash trailed off as Karina kept giggling at him.
"Are you okay Mae?" Ali questioned as he helped her to her feet and let her use his shoulder as support.
"I'm fine love, thank you." She thanked the allstar who nodded and handed her over to Yasmina.
"What are you thinking, Kenji?" Daniel questioned his son irately as his daughter then began walking back to them.
"I just got you back and your needlessly risking your life when the BRADs can do the job?" Daniel questioned his son frantically.
"Hey-" Ali was cutoff as Brooklynn grabbed his shoulder and shook her head at him, the allstar sighed deeply.
'Why is he acting like Kenji can't hold his own? He has no faith in him...' Ali mentally stated.
"Dad...I'm sorry." Kenji apologized as his dad sighed.
"It's okay son, I'm just happy to have my family back." Daniel said as he drew Kenji and Karina, who had finally reached back to them into a firm hug.
Kenji wasn't used to this much affection from his father and his sister but...after what he went through, he wouldn't question it, he was glad to be in their embrace right now.
Suddenly Mae's grunts in pain and falls to the floor again as everyone immediately turned their attention to her.
"Mae? Mae, what's wrong?" Yasmina questioned the woman as she supported her head with her hand.
"I think my...injuries were aggravated when that savage shoved me to the ground just now." Mae groaned out.
Ali then kneeled down as he noticed the blood seeping out of Mae's gaused up wounds.
"She reopened the deepest cuts...we need to-" Daniel cuts the allstar off.
"I'll get her to the Med bay, and make sure Kash is somewhere he can't hurt anyone." Daniel relayed to the group.
"I'll be back soon so we can figure out how to get you all home." Daniel stated as he began walking to Mae.
Karina smiled before hugging Kenji swiftly and running after her father.
Sammy then walked up to her boyfriend again as she arched a brow at that.
"Wait, I want to come with you." Kenji called out as Daniel stopped and turn to him.
"Later son, you and your friends can go and get cleaned up, the investor's suite on level two is well-stocked, Karina can show you all around, feel free to use anything you need." Daniel said with a smile.
"Feel free? Oh my gosh, we can walk around like people?" Sammy questioned as she shook her boyfriend around violently.
"This is gonna be sooo fun, I have to tell you Kenji's deepest secrets." Karina whispered to Sammy who giggled at that.
"I have so much to tell you guys." Kenji said to his father and sister, completely failing to realize his sister whispering to Sammy.
"And I can't wait to hear all of it." Daniel said with a smile which Kenji returned tenfold.
Ali was still conflicted...like, everything seemed okay, maybe Karina and Daniel were only so cold earlier because they were in work mode but, the man seemed to be a caring father and Karina seemed to be a regular, bubbly, teenager.
"Hey, is something wrong?" Yasmina questioned her boyfriend as she brushed a stray dread out of his eyes.
"Y...Yea, I'm just, worried about Mae is all." Ali stated, which wasn't technically a lie since he was worried about Mae, but he didn't want to tell Yasmina he was skeptical of Daniel and Karina, he'd seem paranoid or crazy.
Yasmina knew he was withholding some information from her but, before she could question him, Kash, who was still struggling against the BRADs called out to the group.
"I knew I shouldn't have trusted you! This isn't over, you let go of me!" Kash shouted as he continued struggling.
Daniel then walked off to help Mae and to ensure Kash was imprisoned.
Kenji then whooped as he lifted Sammy up bridal style, much to the latter's shock and dismay.
"Kenji!" The texan shouted at her boyfriend.
"Everything is gonna be okay guys!" He shouted as everyone else whooped, maybe it was all finally about to come to an end, this everlasting nightmare could end soon and they'd be home.
"Stop being cheesy Kenj, come onnnn, I can show you guys the suite!" Karina shouted as she began leading them through the swamp.
Suite
Ali sat in the lounge area of the suite as he took it all in, despite the uneasy feeling he got, the place was nice and fancy to say the least, and ofcourse, it had food.
His friends were indulging in the food thoroughly, his girlfriend included, he almost chuckled when he noticed her downing some donuts.
He watched as they all laughed and conversed about the food and the luxuries of the suite, he'd normally join them but he just couldn't shake that feeling.
The allstar could feel it in his stomach, he was hungry, but he could not eat whilst feeling like that.
Why the hell were they still not allowed access to a phone? Did Mr. Kon not want them to get home?
He had watched as everyone got more acquainted with Karina, everyone liked her, even Yasmina, which he was semi-proud of, his girlfriend was getting better with meeting new people.
And even though the jungle boy would not want to admit it, he had noticed that Ben had taken a special liking to Karina, if the boy's blushing and fumbled words were not enough ot a sign he didn't know what was.
However, maybe his trust issues were kicking in, but could the group really trust the owner of Mantah Corp? Even if it was Kenji's fath-
"Hey." The allstar was brought out of his thoughts as he noticed Karina sit herself down next to him.
Well that was really convenient...
"Wassup with you? Are you the toocoolforschool one out of the group?" Karina questioned him with air quotes as he arched a brow.
"I'm just messing with you, lighten up." Karina then said as she nudged him.
"But seriously though, Ali, was it? Is something bothering you?" She questioned him with a...genuine smile.
Why was she being so nice? Was this some sorta trap?
"Yea, I'm good, we all need time to think to ourself ya know?" Ali questioned her as she hummed.
"I suppose that's fair, cookie?" Karina offered him one of her Chips Ahoy cookies, he had noticed that she seemed to always have a small pack of them on her, a fever addiction.
"Nah I'll pass this time, thanks though." Ali said as he raised his hand.
Karina then shrugged as she popped the cookie into her mouth.
"Suit yourself, you should eat something though, it's not healthy to starve yourself." The girl said before standing and walking back over to some of the others.
Ali stared at her back as he tried to figure the small teen out...she seemed to genuinely care for others, almost adjacent to her father.
"Gelebean!" Yasmina shouted as the allstar was suddenly attacked by a hug.
"Yas! We talked about the nickname!" Ali shouted as he hugged her back.
"I know! But it's sooooo cute! And I love you!" Yasmina shouted in an unusually hyperactive tone.
Realization then dawned on the allstar...the donuts...all that sugar.
"Yas, I think we should get you some water, come on-woah!" Ali exclaimed as Yasmina pulled him up off the couch by his hands and forced him to dance around.
"I'll get water later! Dance with me!" Yasmina shouted as she virtually rocked her boyfriend's mind around.
"Guys! We get our own rooms!" They both heard Ben shout as Yasmina instantly stopped dancing around.
"Come on! Let's go see!" Yasmina shouted as she grabbed Ali's arm and drug them to where Ben's voice was.
They noticed the others and Karina in the hallway exploring the newly found rooms.
Yasmina opened a door to notice one with a giant painting on it.
"I definitely want this one." She said to herself as she plunged into the Queen sized bed.
"I think yours has the best view so far Yas." Ali said as he looked out the window, finally letting a smile cross his face.
"I think so too." Yasmina said as Ali turned to notice her staring at him.
"I'm gonna go get you that water..." Ali trailed off as he placed a kiss on her forehead and exited the room.
"So you really beat a Carnotaurus by yourself?" Ali noticed Karina and Ben having a conversation in front of the latter's room.
He chuckled as Ben tried to strike a cool pose in order to impress the girl.
"Well not by myself...I had help from my friend." Ben tried to explain as Ali walked away from them.
The allstar wondered what Kenji would think about BEN liking his sister.
Ali then went to the kitchen and poured the glass of water before noticing Darius sit down on the lounge couch.
"Sup Darius?" The allstar questioned him as the former sat down and placed the water on the table, he'd get it to Yasmina soon ofcourse.
"Nothing much, just enjoying our chance to finally get to relax." Darius said as Ali nodded at that sentiment, regardless of any trust issues he may had, he had to admit how nice this was.
"Aye guys! Check out what I found in the bathroom." Kenji said as he showed them a laser hair remover.
"But I don't know...does the beard make me look more manly? What if I just shave it off and look like the regular old immature Kenji?" Kenji questioned them as they both looked at eachother before looking back at him.
"I don't think that beard is going to change that Kenji, besides what's so wrong with babyfaced idiot Kenji?" Ali questioned him as the rich boy came and sat in between the former and Darius.
"It's a bunch of different things...Sammy being one of them but, the main thing is my dad, he never saw a reason to take me seriously since I was so immature, heck, he even trusts my 14 year old sister more than me, I'm 16!" Kenji almost shouted as Darius gained a wary expression at this.
"But you're not incapable Kenji, yea you goof around a lot, but you still do a lot to help those you love, shouldn't he just accept the goofy side of you anyways? Ya know...as your dad?" Ali questioned Kenji as the latter looked to the floor.
"I don't know man, I want things to be different...because I AM different." Kenji declared firmly before looking up at his friends again.
"You are Kenj...and trust us when we say, shaving that gross, spider fuzz, won't change that." Darius said as they all chuckled at this and Kenji pulled them both into half hugs.
"Alright guys, I gotta get this water to Yas, I'll see yall later." Ali said as Kenji and Darius waved to him.
As he was walking he noticed Karina and Ben had gone off somewhere else.
He was rooting for Ben, this was the first time he ever saw the jungle boy act like this.
Ali opened the door to Yasmina's room as he noticed her pacing around.
"Yas? What's wrong?" He questioned her as she stopped.
"Quick! I need another donut!" She shouted as she made a break for the door.
"Uh, not so fast hotrod, drink this please." Ali said as she sighed and took the water.
"Fine." She stated as she began downing the water.
She finished with a sigh of relief before offering him the cup.
"Happy?" Yasmina questioned him.
"Yes very...now come here!" Ali shouted as he tackled her onto the bed and they began playfighting.
"Stop! You know what happened last time!" Yasmina shouted as she referenced the instance where she punched the allstar square in his jaw.
"I'll be expecting it this time." Ali said as he he continued tickling his girlfriend.
They continued play fighting until they tuckered eachother out...the allstar would be lying if he said he didn't do it purposely to get Yasmin to burn her excess energy from tbe donuts.
The allstar was now staring at the ceiling as Yasmina slept with her head in the crook of her boyfriend's neck.
He had realized it was only around noon, he began succumbing to sleep as well as his thoughts once again traveled to Daniel and Karina...maybe they weren't as bad as his mind thought them to be.
Later
In the lounge, Ben, Karina and Darius were playing pool.
The two boys could not for the life of them understand the girl's talent in the game but...when they watched her down what had to be her 50th pack of Chips Ahoy today alone and completely mop the floor with them again, they just gave up on trying to understand it.
Sammy and Kenji sat on the couch as they both admired eachother's freshened up looks.
The entire group had gotten showers, cleaned their clothes, did some much needed self-grooming, and ofcourse, relaxation time.
Kenji had finally shaved his beard and Sammy had washed and trimmed her hair.
Ali and Yasmina then walked into the lounge area after their little nap, the latter had let her hair down out of it's ponytail and straightened it whilst the former kept his signature side ponytail present, only the hair was much longer now so it hung downwards instead of sticking out to the side.
"I need another donut." Yasmina said as she covered her mouth and yawned.
"Trust me when I say this, no you do not Yas, sugar is like your cocaine..." Ali said as he noted how the sweet delectable mineral turned his girlfriend from the usual laid backed woman she normally was to a hyperactive 5 year old.
"Fineee, you're not stopping me from downing this croissant though, I will fight you." Yasmin declared menacingly as Ali threw his hands up in surrender.
"Fine with me." He said as they sat on the other side of the couch and the allstar took note of Kenji and Sammy laughing at how whipped he was.
"Okay guys, Brooklynn is back!" They all turned to Brooklynn's voice as the pinkette, with her hair freshly re-dyed, entered the lounge.
"Woo! Yea!" They all cheered as she smiled at them.
"Your hair looks even prettier now, oh my gosh." Karina said as she walked up to Brooklynn and the latter scratched her head in a sign of shyness.
"Thank you, what do yall think?" Brooklynn questioned the entire group, but it was evident to everyone except the boy himself, she was looking for a response specifically from Darius.
"You look nice." Sammy stated.
"Still looks like a cherry blossom tree." Ben said with a shrug as Brooklynn chuckled and shook her head.
"Looks nice B! Good job!" Darius said as he offered Brooklynn a fist bump.
Quite literally everyone in the room minus these two, even Karina who was relatively new to the group, was unimpressed with Darius' stupidity, they all could tell the two liked eachother very much...but they were just terrible at reading it, Darius was even worse than Brooklynn.
Brooklynn stared at Darius' outstretched fist with an annoyed expression as he smiled brightly, completely not realizing his slip up.
Ali and Kenji look at eachother before facepalming simultaneously.
Dude coulda said or done literally ANYTHING else...a fist bump? Seriously?
Brooklynn finally returned the fist bump as the awkward air was lifted off of the room.
At this rate...these two would never get together, not until they stopped being so awkward and oblivious to eachother's feelings.
Before anything else can be said or done the doors open to reveal Daniel walking into the room with a rather down trodden demeanor.
"Dad? Is everything alright?" Karina questioned her father as all attention was turned to him.
"Yes, it's just...putting Kash away has really put me in a messy situation, I just hope you're all settling in okay, you've been a good host right my dear?" Daniel questioned his daughter who nodded and consumed yet another cookie.
"Settle in? Why would we need to do that?" Sammy asked as she stood up along with Kenji.
"We're going home, right?" Yasmina questioned from her spot on the couch next to her boyfriend, who's skepticism had come back tenfold now.
"About that..." Daniel began as he walked around the lounge.
"After the Jurassic World incident, the world turned it's back on dinosaurs, if anyone learns about this island, well these dinosaurs, and our family...all of us, could be in a lot of trouble." Daniel said as he had wrapped Karina and Kenji in half embraces and gestured to the rest of the group.
"Family? So we're not going home to see our families, that's what you're saying, right?" Ali questioned as he crossed his arms and Daniel sighed.
"I'm afraid not...but look, Kash's way of doing things is over, and he will pay for what he did to Mae, I know what I'm subjecting you all to is completely unfair, but, if you just give me a few days, I can arrange to get you all home safely, but discretely, you know...out of the public eye." Daniel stated as the camp fam, minus Kenji, all gave eachother suspicious glances.
"If not for me...do it for Kenji." The man said with a smile as Ali fought the urge to shout.
'There he goes again...using Kenji as some means of comeuppance.' The allstar mentally stated.
Even though the looks the camp fam for giving eachother said they were all skeptical, they all came to the census that they'd stay for a little.
"Okay, we'll stay the couple days." Darius declared, an edge in his tone.
"Oh, thank you so much, the BRADs can help you now." Daniel addressed the camp fam before turning to his children.
"Are you guys ready?" He questioned them both as Kenji nodded and Karina clapped.
"Yes! Finally!" Karina exclaimed as they began walking to the exit.
"Bye Sammy, I love you!" Kenji shouted as they left the room.
"I love you too Kenj!' Sammy called out.
The camp fam then took a silent pause.
"So I'm not the only one seeing an issue with him still not allowing us to contact our family, right?" Ali questioned as they were all for the majority in agreement.
"That's true G but, if the world really did turn on dinosaurs then Mr. Kon is right." Darius rebutted as Ali sighed, ofcourse this once again ties to the safety of creatures who weren't even supposed to be there alive, shocker.
"This place needs to be a secret for the sake of the dinosaurs." Darius finished as the rest of the group deflated.
"What about our sakes?" Yasmina questioned him flatly.
"I say we go and ask Mae." Sammy said as the group hummed at the thought.
"Good idea, it would be best to get a NON-BIASED opinion from a sensible individual." Ali said as he exited the room and headed for the elevator.
The group followed him with puzzled expressions, but they all had to admit, Mae was the most level-headed one.
Med Bay
"And I stand corrected on my prior statement." Ali said with a deadpan as the group all stood around Mae and watched as she virtually degraded...
The effects of the painkillers were evident, as the once staunch doctor was but a babbling fool at this point.
"Spoons are weird, right? You're upside down in them until you're right side up!" Mae shouted as she fiddled with a spoon.
"Are you feeling alright?" Ben questioned her as the rest of the group wore wary expressions to the mad lady.
"Couldn't be better! All fixed! They gave me some methy-majiggy for the pain." Mae relayed as Yasmina hummed.
"Yea they did..." The trackstar trailed off through gritted teeth.
"Musta gave her enough to give a damn T. Rex a case of the giggles." Ali said as he shook his head.
"Yuppp, I don't think we should ask Mae anything right no-woah!" Yasmina exclaimed as Mae grabbed her bicep roughly.
"No! Don't leave me alone, this show is too scary..." Mae said gravely as she gestured to a monitor that showed a surveillance feed of Kash banging against the glass of prison cell.
"Ah how ironic, the madman behind a cell, don't ya just love poetic justice?" Ali questioned as he highfived Brooklynn.
"Yup." The pinkette agreed as the entire group laughed at Kash's predicament.
Brooklynn then turned to notice that Sammy wasn't as jolly as the others...she was staring rather hard at the monitor.
Ever since Daniel and Karina saved the group, the Texan had seemed uneased about something, and Brooklynn was sure she knew why.
"We'll go turn off the feed so Mae can get some sleep." Brooklynn said as she ushered Sammy out of the room.
"Okay, thanks gir-" Ali is cutoff as Mae shushed him.
"Stop singing so loud Kenji! Where's Ali, my lovely little lovebiscuit!" She shouted as the entire group minus Ali burst out laughing.
"Love biscuit." Darius repeated as he and Ben fell to the floor in tears.
"That's not funny, she called me Kenji." Ali said as he noticed Yasmina snickering to herself.
"My own girlfriend..." Ali trailed off as he shook his head.
The laughter ceased for a moment as they all heard Big Eatie's rumbling.
They turned to notice her laying on the dino platform, as a BRAD brings her a large platter of meat for her to consume.
They had all expected her to immediately begin devouring the meat...but they were all shocked to see her turn her head away and refuse to eat.
"Big Eatie's not eating..." Darius trailed off.
"And I think I know exactly why." Ali stated as he alluded to the fact the T. Rex missed her daughter dearly.
Sammy and Brooklynn
The two girls had gone down to where Kash's cell was as they took note of his down trodden form.
Kash took note of them as he gasped and his eyes followed them around the room.
"Sup jail bird." Brooklynn said as she went to the monitor and shut his camera feed off.
"So that's who you are!" Kash shouted as Sammy irately walked towards his cell.
"The ranch girl!" He declared with a rusty laugh.
"The name is Sammy Gutierrez! Don't act like you don't remember blackmailin my family! I did what you wanted! So my family better be okay!" Sammy shouted as she slammed her fists against the reinforced glass angrily.
"Okay, but..." Kash trailed off to laugh.
"I have no idea about your family down on the ranch." He said as he imitated the country accent.
"After you died, Kon iced me out, I see you all have trusted him well aye? He doesn't even care about his own two kids, I wouldn't be so trusting if I were you guys, he has a way of, turning on people." Kash said with a frown.
"Is he really that bad?" Brooklynn questioned as she walked up next to Sammy.
"Mmm, maybe? Maybe I'm just messing with your head." Kash said with a shrug as Brooklynn gained a bored expression, so predictable this guy was.
"If you tell us what we wanna know, I'll see if we can get you out of here." Brooklynn stated with a small smile.
Kash then smirked as he stood up and walked towards the glass.
"If you wanna know what happened to your family, check the files in Kon's office, it's right next to mines but not nearly as swag." Kash boasted as it was Brooklynn's turn to smirk.
"Now, are you gonna free me or what?" Kash questioned as Sammy turned to notice Brooklynn's smug expression.
"Maybe, or maybe I'm just messing with your head." Brooklynn said as she began walking to the exit.
Sammy laughed at the shocked expression marring Kash's features before following behind Brooklynn.
Outside the Compound
Kenji and Karina stood with their father as the BRADs repaired the downed drones.
"And then we almost got eaten by a Carnotaurus! Make that two times!" Kenji shouted as he was telling them his perilous tales of surviving on isla nublar.
"Was it Toro?" Karina questioned her brother as he arched a brow.
"Yea...hey, how do you know that?" Kenji questioned her as she giggled.
"Because Ben told me the story of how he beat Toro with Bumpy, so cool." Karina said as she swayed side to side.
"Ben and cool in the same sentence should be illegal." Kenji said with a deadpan as Daniel chuckled.
"Like you're any cooler, captain spike." Karina said as she crossed her arms and Kenji scoffed.
"I'm glad to see you guys are back to normal." Their father stated, but he seemed uninterested in the actual conversation.
Kenji looked at him with a wary expression.
"Dad, is this boring?" He questioned as Daniel scrambled.
"What? No, I want to hear all about it, it's just, I have a lot on my plate, for instance how did Kash have all this time and never get the cameras working?" Daniel questioned rhetorically.
"I don't think you want the answer to that question dad, this is Kash we're talking about." Karina said as she crossed her arms.
"I know dear..." Daniel trailed off with a sigh.
"So much to do in two days." He said to himself as Kenji arched a brow.
"Why? What's happening in two days?" Kenji questioned.
"Oh, your sister didn't tell you? The investor presentation." Daniel revealed as Kenji was taken back.
"Wait...are you still doing dino fights?" Kenji questioned his dad as he looked to his sister who had avoided his gaze now, why were they keeping things secret?
Med Bay
Darius and Ali had walked up to Big Eatie, the former had a tablet in hand, the latter was just being cautious because they were walking up to a 40 foot apex predator for God's sake.
They both gasp as her right eye opened to stare directly at them, she didn't make a move but this was still a very large and powerful animal that could kill them with ease, they had to be careful.
"Come on girl, you have to eat." Darius said as he tapped a command key on the tablet, Big Eatie completely ignored the imitated roar.
Ali touched the dinosaur's scared underside as he noticed she'd actually begun losing a lot of weight due to starvation.
"If we don't get her to eat she might stall and end up starving to deat-ack!" Ali fell back with a yelp as Big Eatie roared loudly.
He then looked up frantically when she stopped roaring to notice her lay her head back down.
"Sorry..." Darius apologized, he was the one that prompted her to roar by throwing a piece of meat at her face.
"A little warning would have been nice next time." Ali said as he stood up to his feet.
Big Eatie rumbled again as Darius' tablet sounded off.
"She's sad..." Darius relayed as Ali walked up to him.
"She misses her daughter D, almost any parent would feel this way." Ali stated as both boys watched Big Eatie with solemn gazes.
Back Outside
Kenji was still upset with his sister and his father for deceiving him and his friends...but he had agreed to hear Daniel out.
"Kenji, these aren't your typical investors, they're the kind of people people you do not mess with, and they're inspecting dinosaur fights, so that is what I am going to give them." Daniel declared as Karina sighed internally.
She didn't like the idea of hurting the dinosaurs but...she would do whatever it took to honor and maintain her father's respect, and she hoped Kenji would do the same.
"But you can't dad." Kenji spoke up much to Karina's shock...she never knew Kenji to defy their father, something was...different about her brother.
Karina almost jumped back from the sheer force of her father rounding on Kenji swiftly, seemingly just as shocked as the former that he'd been defied.
Even though their dad was much more benevolent towards her, that was only because she was the perfect daughter, daddy's perfect little girl, whatever he said, went, and she understood that.
Now, Kenji was more goofy than her, and tried to pull stunts to get their dad's recognition, but he too knew it was never a good idea to talk back to their father...yet here he was, doing that.
"I have to Kenji." Daniel said curtly.
"Why?" Kenji questioned, he seemed to be pushing it now.
"The Mantah Corp board has no idea this island exists, I have to turn a profit before they realize the money I've been using is missing." Daniel said as Kenji sighed.
"Kenji relax, dad knows what he's doing, this is is what's best." Karina spoke up as she touched her brother's shoulder.
"Your sister is right Kenji...if I cancel the dinosaur fight...we, all of us." Daniel began as he grabbed both of their shoulders.
"Could potentially lose everything." The man tried to reason as Kenji hesitated.
"But...but it's wrong..." Kenji said with softened eyes.
"Is it?" Daniel questioned irately.
"It's just dinosaurs being dinosaurs! I'm not gonna drug them the way Kash did." Daniel began again as he turned back to the BRADs.
"Besides, didn't you just tell us about all the time you had to run for your life from them? Who cares about them?" Daniel questioned as Kenji frowned.
"Yea but..." Kenji trailed off as he walked forward, past the drones, Karina in tow.
"Ali said they're just following their instincts, we can't fault them for doing what they were born to do, no living thing should have to go through this dad." Kenji tried to reason with his father as the man sighed and waved him off, seemingly too busy with the BRADs and the drones now.
Karina was taken back to say the least...this was a completely different Kenji than the one who got stranded at Camp Cretaceous 6.5 months ago...that Ali guy...
'He brainwashed my brother...' Karina thought to herself irately.
Kenji was about to say something else to his father until he noticed his sister gasp.
"Kenji!" His father shouted in a distressed tone.
The boy then turned to notice one of the Velociraptor burst out of the bushes and charge at him, poised to strike.
Karina instantly activated her taser gaunlet as she struck the raptor in it's neck and it immediately fell to the ground with a pained shriek.
Kenji breathed heavily as he and his sister backed up cautiously from the downed raptor.
"Still think no living thing should be subjected to some petty fights? These things don't care about anything Kenj...all they do is kill, kill, and kill some more." Karina said as she crossed her arms and walked off.
Kenji looked down to the ground solemnly, if it weren't for his sister he might've been on his way up right now...
"You see what I mean Kenji? No point in protecting something that wouldn't hesitate to take your life." Daniel relayed to his son who still stared at the ground in defeat...maybe they were right.
Brooklynn and Sammy
The pinkette and the Texan had snuck their way into Daniel's office as they cautiously walked around, looking for any clue as to what happened to Sammy's family.
Brooklynn began picking the lock to the drawer that Kash had directed them to earlier.
Sammy was busy examining a photgraph on Daniel's desk...it was a picture of Kenji as a toddler holding Karina who looked to be no older than 2 years old.
"Que linda..." She said to herself, almost forgetting her mission.
"Sammy." The Texan heard Brooklynn call her name as the latter had got the drawer open.
Sammy immediately ran over to her as they began searching through the drawer.
"There! Gutierrez ranch!" Sammy shouted as she picked up the file with her family's name on it.
She immediately began reading through it.
"Mr. Kon...owns it, until their debt is paid." Brooklynn pointed out as Sammy gasped sharply and covered her mouth in disbelief.
"But...the ranch has been in my family for years!" Sammy shouted irately.
"I knew this guy was no good..." Brooklynn trailed off.
"You wouldn't happen to be talking about my father, would you?" Karina's voice questioned as the two girls felt their blood run cold and a shiver was sent down their spine.
They instantly turned to Karina standing in the doorway, her face was one of dismay.
She entered the room as Sammy and Brooklynn stood up defensively with the file, Daniel then entered the room as he gasped.
"What are you girls doing in my office?" Daniel questioned them.
"Whoever would do this to my family!" Sammy shouted angrily as she jerked the file towards Daniel.
Karina arched a brow, what was in that file?
"You mean, clean up Kash's mess and help your family out? You are Sammy Gutierrez, right?" Daniel questioned as he took a form out of the file and handed it to the irate Texan.
"An exclusive contract?" Sammy questioned.
"When Jurassic World went under, your parents had no way of paying back the bank, so yes, I bought their debt, and I made them my exclusive meat supplier here, they have no idea where the meat goes...only that I order a lot of it..." Daniel explained as Brooklynn and Sammy both gained sheepish expressions...they felt stupid.
"Oh...well, that was nice of ya." Sammy stated shakily as she rubbed the back of her head.
"Your family is fine Sammy." Daniel began as he opened the drawer and put the file back.
"Once Kenji explained to me who his beautiful, young and ambitious girlfriend was, I recognized it to be you, and I was going to tell you but...you kinda ruined the surprise by invading my room..." Daniel said with a shake of his head.
"I...I'm sorry Mr. Kon, it's just hard to trust people when you've been through what we've been through." Sammy admitted.
"I would've thought being your boyfriend's father would've earned me a bit of trust, he'd be crushed if he found out about this." Daniel said as he clicked his tongue and began walking to the exit.
"It'll stay between us, you camp kids all seem so...close with my son in different ways ofcourse, I would hate to have to ruin that." Daniel finished as he finally exited the room.
Brooklynn looked at his back with a down trodden gaze, she hated being wrong in situations like these, it always stung more.
"Hey, next time you have any crazy suspicions, just ask, don't sneak into my father's office ever again." Karina said as she made an advance to the door.
"Maybe your dad should be less shady with his plans then." Brooklynn said through gritted teeth as Karina stopped and turned on her heel.
"What?" Karina questioned her as she walked up to the pinkette.
Sammy watched warily as Brooklynn's green eyes clashed ferociously with Karina's brown eyes, this could get ugly quick.
"Nothing." Brooklynn said as the situation quickly began dissipating.
"Thought as much." Karina stated before turning around and pulling out a box of Chips Ahoy as she left the room.
Brooklynn didn't have a clear issue with Karina...and it was understandable why the latter was upset, but there was never a need to be smug, the pinkette just wished she could wipe that look off of the brunette's face with no repercussions...but she was in the wrong, she had to accept defeat here.
Kenji
Kenji entered the lounge as he noticed Ben sitting with his head on the table, Darius doing the same, Yasmina sitting back in the couch with her arms crossed and Ali stood by the window, seemingly staring at nothing but the darkness of the night sky...but he was really just thinking.
"Hey! What's wrong guys?" Kenji questioned the group.
"Big Eatie's won't eat, she's missing her daughter." Darius responded solemnly.
"Maybe she'll eat if we reunite them, can you maybe talk to your dad and see if he'd help?" Ben questioned Kenji who scrambled to find an answer...he didn't know what to tell them.
"About that..." Kenji trailed off as the automatic doors open to reveal Sammy and Brooklynn walking through.
"Hey! Where were you two, babe?" Kenji questioned Sammy as he immediately walked up to her.
"We were doin some diggin-ack!" Sammy exclaimed as Brooklynn elbowed her in the shoulder region.
"As to what KASH did to Sammy's family, luckily we ran into Karina and your dad, he told us the good news. Brooklynn saved the situation.
"My family's fine yall, in fact, all the meat here is courtesy of the Gutierrez ranch!" Sammy professed as Kenji whooped and lifted her into the air.
The rest of the group, minus Ali who was still staring into the starry sky, began cheering for her.
"Your dad's been a real big help Kenj, I'm so glad I made you my boyfriend." Sammy said as Kenji put her down and they locked eachother into tight embraces.
Kenji couldn't help but smile to himself at the warmth of Sammy's words.
"So cute." Brooklynn said as everyone cheered.
"Yea...my dad's awesome guys...so maybe he'll listen." Kenji said as he and Sammy separated and everyone looked at him in confusion.
"To what?" Ali finally spoke for the first time since Kenji came back into the room.
The allstar had walked back over to the group, expectantly awaiting Kenji's response to his question.
"The island needs investors...he's still doing a big dinosaur fight showcase." Kenji revealed as the entire group gasped simultaneously.
"What?" Darius questioned sharply.
"That's horrible Kenji!" Sammy almost shouts.
"He can't do that!" Ben shouted as he slammed his hands against the table.
"Yea my dad thinks dinosaurs are just heartless monsters..." Kenji revealed as Ali scoffed.
"The irony is funny on this one." The allstar said as he crossed his arms.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Kenji questioned with a arched brow.
"You really wanna know?" Ali questioned Kenji, but before anything else can be said, Yasmina touches her boyfriend's arm and shakes her head at him, dismissing the fight before it began.
"How can your dad say the dinos are just heartless monsters? They have feelings just like us!" Sammy shouted as tears almost came to her eyes, Kenji hated seeing the group upset, but seeing Sammy like this basically severed his heart in half.
"He...he just doesn't know them like we do..." Kenji trailed off before pulling Sammy in for another hug.
"But if we can show him there's another side to them-" Kenji is cutoff by Darius.
"Maybe he'll change his mind!" Darius exclaimed.
"If we don't get eaten first." Yasmina added as everyone was seemingly in agreement on this idea.
"You in G?" Brooklynn questioned her bestfriend who sighed in response.
"Alright fine, but we'll need to draw up a good plan, and I think Big Eatie will be our scapegoat here." Ali said with a smirk as Kenji arched his brow.
"Okay I understand we wanna change my dad's mind but why the T. Rex of all dangerous dinos?" Kenji questioned as Ali smirked.
"Go big or go home." The allstar said with a shrug.
The Next Morning, Forest Biome
The plan was fairly simple, reunite Little Eatie with Big Eatie and do it all in front of Daniel and Karina, moreso Daniel so he can recognize the dinosaurs aren't just heartless monsters.
Brooklynn, Sammy and Yasmina stood under the watch tower as Kenji stood forward a bit away from them.
They noticed Karina and Daniel walking up, the former lets out a yawn and tried to wipe the tiredness out of her eyes.
"What exactly is this about Kenji?" Daniel questioned his son as to why everyone was out here at this ungodly hour.
"Yea jiji, it's 6 in the morning, this better be good." Karina said with another yawn.
"Trust me it's all worth it, yesterday you guys said dinosaurs were mindless beasts who only know how to fight and kill, but..." Kenji trailed off as he turned around to the three girls who smiled encouragingly towards him.
"You're wrong, both of you, and if you give me a chance, I'll prove it." Kenji said as he walked in between them and began advancing to complete the plan Ali had drew up.
"Just watch me, dad." He said whilst looking back at his father's unimpressed gaze.
"Don't do anything stupid Kenji." Karina warned her brother as she pulled out her cookies, even in the morning she wouldn't give it a rest.
"I won't sis, don't worry." Kenji said as he continued walking.
Ben
Now Ben had a more risque part of this plan...and he absolutely loathed it, but regardless of if he'd openly admit it, he liked Karina, and he wanted to show her there were more to dinosaurs, heck she seemingly liked Bumpy, but her father's teachings were clouding her judgement.
Alas, Ben had to focus now if he even wanted to show Karina the good side of dinosaurs.
He peaked over the boulder he was hiding behind to notice Little Eatie, sleeping all alone ofcourse because her mother was locked in the med bay.
Ben had to take a deep breath, yes her name was Little Eatie...but there was nothing little about this magnificent creature.
If he was going to do this...he had to be careful.
Kenji
Kenji had met up with Ali and Darius by the med bay loading platform.
In one click...Darius could bring Big Eatie up to the surface level.
"Ali...are you sure about this plan?" Kenji questioned the allstar.
"I'm sure Kenji just relax, if we show that even the mighty T. Rex has a soft spot for it's kid then we can definitely change your dad and your sister's mind, just, trust me." Ali said as he nodded to Darius who shakily hit the ascend key, it had begun, Big Eatie was being brought to the top.
Ali let out a calming breathe as he bounced on his toes slightly to mentally prepare himself.
Kenji closed his eyes and shook his hands off, he had to remember why they were doing this.
There was no turning back now, Big Eatie was at the top now, still unconcious.
Yasmina, Brooklynn and Sammy had led Daniel and Karina to the top of the watch tower so they could watch from a safe distance.
But naturally if the three girls were worried, so were the Kons, injured or not, this was still a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
"You're sure you can talk to her right D?" Kenji questioned the dino nerd as he nodded shakily.
"Y...Yea, like nine...se...seventy percent sure." Darius said with a sheepish chuckle as Kenji's nerves got wilder.
"I like those odds, you got this Darius, just relax." Ali said as he made the no pressure gesture.
Ali then walked up to the lock on Big Eatie's leg as Darius and Kenji went up to her head.
"If I get eaten this plan is a definite fail right?" Kenji questioned Darius.
"Pretty much." Darius replied as he noticed Big Eatie stirring awake.
The T. Rex growled at the two boys but she didn't seem too keen on attacking them.
"Hey girl, it's just us, we're not gonna hurt you, you're safe." Darius said as he pressed the calm key on the tablet as it mimicked a T. Red noise.
"It's okay, it's okay." Kenji added to Darius' soothing words.
From the watch tower everyone was watching tensely.
Karina was sure her brother and his friends had gone mad at this point.
"What are they doing? Why are they getting so close to it?" Daniel questioned irately.
"They're going to free her." Brooklynn answered flatly as Karina gasped at that notion.
"They're going to what? No, I'm not gonna sit here and let that happen." Daniel said as he began controlling the BRAD-X that was with the boys to stun Big Eatie.
"Stop! You're going to make her angry!" Sammy shouted at him.
As Ali was about to open the lock he noticed the Brad was about to fire at her.
"No!" He almost shouted as he lunged towards the bot.
"Dad no! Stop!" Kenji shouted as Ali struggled against the BRAD-X.
The machine fired the shot anyways, it hit Big Eatie in the neck, she was no longer calm as she lets out a pained roar.
Darius was trying his hardest to calm her but it was no use, the stun bullet had put her aggression levels through the roof.
She seemingly calmed down for a bit, only to be shot once more and begin roaring irately again.
On top of the watch tower, Brooklynn snatched Daniel's tablet away as she set the BRAD-X to passive and tossed the device off the ledge much to the man's dismay.
Karina took note of how seemingly calm Big Eatie was before getting shot...if her dad never ordered for that to happen she wouldn't be acting like this right now.
"Dad, Kenji's life is on the line, we-" Daniel cuts her off irately.
"I know! That's why I was trying to save him and his stupid friends! If my son dies...his blood is on your hands." Daniel said begrudgingly as he pointed to the three girls.
Karina looked at them with a wary expression as they all focused back on Big Eatie and the boys.
"Come on Ali, you got this, you got this." Yasmina said to herself as she unconciously pinched her thigh.
Ali, Darius and Kenji were now forced to evade Big Eatie's attacks due to how irate the shots had made her.
Unfortunately, the all star fell to the ground as Big Eatie was prepared to finish him off.
As she lunged everyone in the vicinity gasped in horror.
"No!" Yasmina shouted as Sammy and Brooklynn grab onto her so she wouldn't watch.
Ali threw his arms into his face defensively as he expected to be one with God after this...but when an all too familiar roar caught everyone's attention...even Big Eatie's, things were quiet for a bit, and the latter did in fact not devour Ali.
She instead turned to the noises of Little Eatie coming towards them.
Big Eatie roared back at her daughter but she couldn't run towards her due to the chain.
"That's right! We're bringing your daughter to you but you gotta let us free you! Remember, we're friends!" Darius exclaimed as he tried to calm the mother down.
Kenji then pulled Ali to his feet as they both ran to the lock and began striking it.
As they finally broke the lock, Big Eatie charged foward.
Almost simultaneously, Ben emerged from the forest with Little Eatie hot on his trails.
Both dinosaurs instantly recognized eachother's presence.
They immediately forgot about the humans as they began nuzzling eachother, they were more ecstatic to be reunited than to worry about these people.
Ali, Kenji, Darius and Ben regrouped together as they all breathed heavily and chuckled amongst eachother.
"Perfect timing Ben! That was awesome!" Kenji shouted as they all whooped.
"Guys, I think that was my closest call with death yet." Ali said as they all chest bumped and highfived.
"Eh, it's definitely up there." Kenji said as he pulled the allstar into a half hug.
Even though they all seconds away from being part of a bloodbath, the brotherly love they shared was still being shown.
"Let's not forget you though D...did you just talk to a frickin Tyrannosaurus Rex? DO YOU HEAR HOW THIS QUESTION SOUNDS? It's like something you have dreams about bruh." Ali said as he pushed Darius playfully.
"I did...I TALKED TO A T. REX!" Darius exclaimed as they all chuckled joyously once more.
The boys then turned to notice the others from the watch tower running up to them.
They all wore wary expressions as Sammy, Brooklynn and Yasmina immediately began checking on them for any injuries.
Ali and Kenji both turned to Karina and Daniel simultaneously as both parties wore unreadable expressions.
"Sis...dad." Kenji addressed them as he walked forward.
Big Eatie let out a thanking roar as she left with her daughter and everyone turned to her.
"That is not a mindless monster..." Kenji began as they watched the dinos disappear into the forest.
"That's just a parent who was missing her kid, I'm sure you know the feeling." Ali said directly to Daniel as Karina softly gazed at her dad who had seemingly had an epiphany.
Daniel couldn't help but begin laughing to himself as he pulled Kenji and Karina in.
"To think, Kenji would actually be the one teaching me a life lesson, I'm proud of you son." Daniel said as Kenji smiled up at him.
"Good job jiji." Karina said as she gave her brother a fist bump.
"They're happy!" Darius exclaimed as he presented the tablet to the group, the screen showed the dinosaurs' brainwaves.
"Mae's research allows us to communicate with them on a rudimentary level!" Darius explained further as Brooklynn gasped.
"So in other words what we saw was real...you really did just talk to a T. Rex...that's amazing Darius!" Brooklynn shouted as she grabbed the tablet roughly to examine it.
"I admit...I never thought I'd see anything like that." Daniel said as he let his kids go.
"Well now that you did...stop the dino fights." Ali stated firmly as Daniel turned to him.
"Please, dad." Kenji begged as Sammy grabbed onto his arm.
"I don't want to do that anymore, you believed in something Kenji, you got others to follow you and you changed mine and your sister's mind, I am so proud of you son." Daniel said as that word instantly lit Kenji's world ablaze...he couldn't remember the last time he heard his father say that to him.
Ali smiled at this, he was glad to see Kenji finally gain recognition from his father...but for some reason he still couldn't shake the uneasy feeling.
The feeling that something was still off.
Ali
Ali laid in his bed staring at the ceiling, this was his first time being in a room he could call his in months...it was surreal.
The beautiful thing about this room was the fact it had a transparent roof...Ali admired the stars thoroughly, he never really got to see them except for when he went down south to visit nana...New York was too bright for the stars to show.
Alas, the sight was beautiful but, the allstar just couldn't sleep...he knew exactly why too.
Suddenly his door squeaked open as he turned with a jump.
"Sh, it's just me baby...I...I couldn't sleep so I..." Ali shushes Yasmina in the dark.
"It's okay Yas, come." He said as he raised the covers for her to join him.
He was wearing black sweats and only a tank top, but he could not make out what type of pajamas Yasmina was wearing.
"Ya know, I don't think I can ever get used to sleeping alone again, Ali." Yasmina said as she made circles on Ali's chest.
"Is it the nightmares?" Ali questioned her.
"Yea...and I just don't feel right if you're not next to me." Yasmina admitted as Ali hummed.
"Well, if it's to make you comfortable I don't mind being your human teddy bear for the rest of my life." Ali stated as he kissed Yasmina's forehead, fortunately the darkness of the room hid her blush.
The allstar secretly felt the same way as Yasmina, he was not particularly fond of the idea of sleeping alone either.
Suddenly two more bodies snaked their way onto the bed as Yasmina and Ali immediately began scrambling.
They realized it was Kenji and Sammy who chuckled sheepishly.
"Hiya there." Sammy said as Yasmina rubbed the Texan's back.
"Well, looks like you two aren't the only ones that can't get used to sleeping alone, nice starlit view by the way." Kenji complimented as Ali shook his head and they all tried to get comfortable.
Okay this had to be it-
Nope, soon ofcourse came Brooklynn as she wriggled her way across Ali's legs.
"And now we have the Queen of the Brooklanders in the slumber fest." Ali said as Brooklynn slapped his chest from her laid position.
Then after Brooklynn shortly came Darius who laid over Kenji and Sammy.
"Now we're just waiting on one more." Yasmina said as Ali chuckled to himself.
The door suddenly shot open as the starlit roof kindof let them know it was Ben.
"Ben...I swear to God if you do it..." Ali trailed off as Ben charged with a guttoral cry.
"No!" The allstar shouted as Ben leaped up and dropped down onto everyone causing them all to yelp and groan in pain.
"Yup, time to call it a night, goodnight everyone." Ali said as he prepared to sleep, only to be interrupted by the sound of a fart.
"Ewww!" The group simultaneously yelled in disgust.
"Kenji!" Brooklynn shouted irately.
"It wasn't me this time I swear!" Kenji shouted as they all groaned...they'd eventually have to fall asleep like this anyways, but they didn't care, this was the best way for them all to sleep fast.
Karina
Karina was in her dad's office bouncing around in excitement, she had just ate ice cream with the others, except Ali who still hadn't eaten anything from what she'd seen, strange.
"Kenji was so awesome today right dad?" She questioned her father.
"Mhm." Daniel responded curtly.
"I'm so glad he changed our minds, we see the dinos better now and don't have to make them figh-" Karina was cutoff by Daniel.
"Stop, what are you blabbering about Karina? That was all just a show for Kenji and his friends." Daniel revealed as Karina arched a brow.
"What?" She questioned him.
"I don't actually plan to stop the dinosaur fights, I don't care what we saw today, these beasts will make me money." Daniel continued as Karina gasped, her dad lied...to not only everyone, but her?
"Kenji is brainwashed...and it's all that Ali boy's fault, but you Karina...you would never be brainwashed by the likes of him, right? You see right through it right, my dear?" Daniel questioned his daughter as he raised her chin to look him in the eyes.
"Yes..." Karina responded dryly.
"Good, now, your mission is to help Kenji realize he's on the wrong side, enough with this dinos are more than monsters crap, if I hear you talking like that again, I will be fairly upset, do you understand?" Daniel questioned his daughter as she bit her right cheek to hold back her tears.
He never spoke to her this way...she'd always been daddy's perfect little girl.
"Yes father...I understand." Karina said curtly with a nod.
"Good, now go get some sleep, in the morning I'm taking you and Kenji with me to the board meeting, hopefully your brother realizes who he is by then, for now, I have business to attend to, goodnight." Daniel dismissed his daughter.
"Goodnight, father." Karina said as she bowed her head before leaving.
As she walked down the hallway she fought the urge to just bawl out crying.
She noticed Ali's room door was sprawled opened.
Karina stopped in front of the door and couldn't help but feel even more pain as she looked at the group...tightly knit and sleeping together...like a family of meerkats on the Savanah.
She noticed her brother's head rested on the midsection of Ali...Ali, he was the one taking her brother away from her...he was the one making her father yell at her...he was the one ruining everything...she wasn't jealous of the group, that's what she told herself as she laid in her bed crying to herself, tears staining her face.
Karina didn't care about that group...sure they loved eachother and that was cool, but all she cared about was pleasing her father by any means necessary...but her problem was not with the entire group, it was one specific person.
"It's not the group, it's him...Ali Barlett...he has to be eliminated." Karina said to herself as she let the rest of her tears flow...she slept alone and crying whilst the camp fam slept all together with smiles on their faces, Ali Barlett didn't care because he got to sleep with an entire group of people...people who loved him, well Karina was alone for most of her life in terms of the friendship department, so she would have to show him her despair.
It is as they say...if the village neglects a child...that child shall burn the village to the ground just to feel it's warmth.
Jungle Biome
Daniel was leading Mae to Kash's old workshop as the woman was confused as to why, luckily she was all better now.
"Again, I hope I didn't say anything too insane while I was under the influence." Mae relayed to Daniel who chuckled at her before they entered the workshop.
"Not at all, I'm incredibly excited by your research actually! It's the key to Mantah Corp's future...when Kash told me you could talk to dinosaurs, I thought he'd gone mad." Daniel said as he closed the doors.
"Maybe he did, he did try to kill me after all, hey, I hate bringing it up but it did make quite the lunatic impression upon me." Mae said as she walked forward.
"I know, and I can assure you, he will face severe consequences if he ever tries that again." Daniel said as Mae turned to him in confusion.
"I'm sorry, again?" Mae questioned as a BRAD-X walked up to her...but it was the fact that Kash was right next to it and freed that made her shaken up.
"Ready to get to work, partner?" Kash said sinisterly as Mae backed away in fear.
"As I said, your research changes everything, but the investors will be here in two days and you can't make the progress I need without Kash's tech, so, you two, WILL be working together." Daniel assured Mae.
"No! Absolutely not! Why would I ever agree to that?" Mae questioned irately as Daniel then pulled up a picture of the camp fam on his tablet...he cropped Kenji out of it...but Mae could tell this was when they were all laughing at the lounge earlier.
Daniel then slammed the tablet to the ground irately as Mae gasped in fear.
"Because if you don't..." Daniel began as he menacingly approached Mae...backing her all the way into a wall.
The woman could feel her entire body press against the wall as Daniel puts both of his hands to the sides of her head to block any means of escape.
"Things might not go so well for those kids..." He finished his thought from earlier...the eeriness of his tone almost made Mae shrink in to herself...she felt his breath hit her lower face.
"I'd hate to have to do something I regreted, Mae." Daniel set as he cupped her right cheek in his hand.
Mae felt tears run down her face as she stared back at the evil man in front of her...she had no choice but to do what he said...for the sake of the kids.
