It was the morning after the tragedy that was supposed to be a beautiful date transpired last night...
The others waited outside the lounge as Sammy tried desperately to apologize to Kenji.
They saw the Texan before she entered the room about 5 minutes ago, she was devastated, she didn't want to leave Kenji high and dry like that but, what choice did she have?
Unfortunately, as the others listened in on their argument, they were upset to notice Kenji was not believing in Sammy's apology...or the fact she was telling the boy about his dad's sinister plans.
He was only giving her incredulous and irate responses, they had to admit, they never heard Kenji speak to Sammy like that, but the rich boy was upset.
"Okay, that's enough." Ali stated as he pushed the door open.
"Wait-" Brooklynn is cutoff as Ali walked in to the room and the others instinctively followed after.
"Why are you not listening to her, Kenji? She's just trying to stop you from getting hurt." Ali explained as Kenji grit his teeth at the fact the others were eavesdropping.
"Yea, Sammy really tried to get back in time for the date, but there were some...obstacles." Ben added in.
"Yea, and I have a strong hunch as to who put those obstacles in place." Ali stated as he eyed a picture of Karina that was mounted on the kitchen board.
"I don't care about anything you guys are saying right now, I'm not even mad about that! Why didn't you guys just talk to me about any of this?" Kenji questioned the group.
"Because we knew your ass would react like th-" Ali cuts himself off as Yasmina puts a haunting hand on his shoulder, luckily he complied.
"Kenj look, you were getting so close with your dad and your sister, we didn't want to bring it up and ruin anything unless we were sure Mr. Kon was up to something." Darius tried to explain.
"Wha..." Kenji trailed off before sighing.
"Fine, I'll talk to him." Kenji said dismissively before brushing by Sammy, not even looking in her direction or offering an 'I love you.'
Everyone noticed how Sammy's eyes had not left the ground ever since they walked in here, she already felt so terrible for standing him up and he wasn't making it any better...
The young women in the room obviously frowned at this, even if he was upset, no man should make his significant other feel worse about something than she already did.
Even the boys were taken back by Kenji's demeanor towards Sammy, it was downright rude.
"Oh and for the record, you guys are the ones who were obviously up to something." Kenji added before leaving, a loud slam of the door following his exit.
Ali balled his fists up as he grit his teeth, he understood why Kenji was acting like this, it was the first time his father ever showed him respect or affection.
The rich boy was blinded by the bliss of acceptance, all the years of watching his sister get favorited whilst he was looked at like scum...naturally he'd feel a little good with Daniel Kon's fake love.
That didn't stop Ali from getting angry at Kenji's attitude though...
"This jerk..." Ali said as he was about to make his way towards the door and go after Kenji, who the hell did he think he was?
"Stop Ali, don't make this worse, just let him talk to his dad." Yasmina stated as she held Ali's arm.
Ali sighed before looking around the room, the camp fam had now dispersed.
Ben was laying his back onto a pillar, he was more than likely sad about Karina, seeing as though he was building a genuine connection with her in such short time, it hurt him because he knew he couldn't mingle with the enemy.
Ali then turned his sights to Brooklynn and Darius who found themselves seated in the booth, the pinkette resting her head on the dino nerd's shoulder, these two were struggling with their feelings while struggling to maintain everyone else's feelings too...no doubt a battle they were destined to lose.
The dreadhead did one last lap around the room as he noticed Sammy...she was arguably suffering the most, she hadn't moved from her spot, she inadvertently stood up the man she loved most and got yelled at all in the span of half a day, he just knew her heart was shattered right now.
Then it hit Ali square in the face, what about Yasmina? She had been there for him since they got to the island, as he was for her, but was she okay? She hadn't mentioned anything about her nightmares recently but, still, was she fully okay?
He then thought to himself, he still had yet to eat, he actually lost track of the days, believe it or not, and he felt like it was starting to catch up to him, stomach pangs, light-headedness, over emotional...everything was crashing down on him at once the more his hunger grew.
Which is why when Ali and Yasmina found themselves on the couch, the former rested his head on the latter's chest as he tried desperately to calm his mind and sleep in her arms.
"Shh, it's okay, just sleep." Yasmina whispered to her boyfriend as his face twisted in anguish, she knew he hadn't got a lick of sleep last night, he was tired, he missed his family...they all did, and the tightly knit family they had created was falling apart.
Yasmina then looked up at the giant portrait of Daniel Kon looming over the room...he was the one making the camp fam fall to pieces.
Kenji
Kenji sat besides his father by the Mantah Corp presentation booth they had shifted together in the forest biome.
They both watched as Karina toggled through weather settings on her tablet.
Sunny, Cloudy, Stormy, clear skies...it was incredible.
"I love this thing." She said with a smile plastered across her face.
"Amazing, isn't it son?" Daniel questioned Kenji who had seemed a bit disinterested...or perhaps distracted.
"Yea, totally." Kenji said in a flat tone as his sister turned to him with an arched brow.
His father picked up on the tone too.
"What's on your mind, son?" Daniel questioned his father.
Kenji hesitated for a bit as Karina walked up to them, she wanted to hear this.
"My friends said they saw Kash working with Mae to control dinosaurs, is it true?" Kenji questioned his father as Karina bit back a sigh, ofcourse, even when she thought she had won they still were ever so persistent.
"Yes...Kenji, it is." Daniel admitted after a pause, Kenji jumped at this, he didn't want his friends to be right, but, it still hurt to hear his dad admit that they were.
"Kenji." Karina spoke up as she noticed her father hesitating, she needed to fix this.
"You saw those investors, they're not gonna invest into Mantah Corp if we don't show them something groundbreaking, if we don't, everything we've ever worked for will go to waste...the island will be shut down, the dinosaurs will be finished, surely you understand, right?" Karina questioned her brother as he looked down at her question, she made a question.
Daniel smirked as Kenji held his head down, his daughter saved the day.
"I...guess you're right." Kenji admitted as Karina nodded.
"Even Mae agreed, we both despise Kashius but we need his brain to take her communication research to the next step, come on Kenj, join us at the presentation so we can show you." Karina said with a smile as Kenji looked up in shock.
"Wait, you guys want me there?" Kenji questioned in disbelief.
"Ofcourse, I want Mantah Corp to become a family company, me, my two children, spearheading it, it would be perfect." Daniel stated as Kenji stood up and stood next to Karina as their dad stood proudly before them.
"That sounds so awesome." Kenji said with a large grin.
"Right? I said the same thing when I heard it." Karina said as Kenji arched a brow at her.
"Since when do you say, awesome?" He questioned her.
"Shut it." She replied curtly.
"Yes, yes Kenji, I just need you to trust me on this...it'd be nice if your friends did too." Daniel added with feigned annoyance.
"D-Don't worry, they'll come around." Kenji tried to assure.
"Yea right." Karina stated as she crossed her arms.
"That's not the impression I got when your girlfriend and that pink-haired girl snuck into my office the other day." Daniel revealed as Kenji gasped.
"What?" He questioned in disbelief.
"Big shocker that they didn't tell you, definitely seem like the trusting type." Karina said as she sat down and crossed her legs.
"Guess they don't trust you just as much as they don't trust dad." She then added with a shrug.
"I know they're your friends Kenji...but I know how to convince them that I'm not a bad guy." Daniel stated with a sigh.
"Your my dad, you shouldn't have to convince them of anything." Kenji said as he folded his arms.
"Woah Kenji, you sounded smart right there." Karina stated as the two began to banter.
Daniel all the while was smiling to himself, as long as he kept them wrapped around his finger, this would still be too easy.
Penthouse
Ali and Yasmina were the only ones still in the lounge, the others were out searching for Mae and some more information about the chips.
Even though they were stressed and sad, they still had to stop Daniel somehow.
Sammy only wanted to go so she could find proof and make Kenji forgive her.
Suddenly the two athletes heard the door rattle as the others came running in.
"Woah guys, slow down, what did you find?" Yasmina questioned them.
"These." Ben stated as he tossed them two controller batteries.
"Woah." Ali stated as he examined it.
"Yup, and pretty sure Mae gave us a hint that neodymium fries them out." Brooklynn said with a smirk.
"Perfect, now all we need is to find a source of neodymium, that sounds soooo easy." Ali droned out.
"Actually G...that's the easy part, you se-" Darius is cutoff as the doors open once more to reveal Kenji walking into the lounge.
Ali and Yasmina swiftly hid the power bricks behind their backs.
Sammy almost gasped her own heart out when she saw Kenji enter the lounge, the same look of despair from the morning plastered on his face.
"Where are you guys coming from?" Kenji questioned them as they were confused, how did he even know they had left?
"We went to find Mae, she gave us-" Kenji cuts Darius off.
"So you went behind my back again?" He questioned them fiercely.
"Since when do we need permission to go talk to Mae? Why don't you shut up and listen to what we have to say?" Ali questioned as he stepped closer to Kenji.
"No! You all have done and said enough, I don't care what you found! Or what you THINK is going on, my dad told me everything." Kenji continued as they all looked at him suspiciously...if his dad told him everything he realistically should be on their side...unless the man bended the truth.
"He's trying to SAVE the dinos! Just like we are." Kenji explained as Brooklynn scoffed.
"How is he doing that? By forcefully hacking into their brains and controlling them against their will?" Brooklynn questioned him.
"Why are you assuming the worst? My dad's been nothing but cool to you." Kenji defended his father.
"And despite how yall have been acting, he's still gonna take you all home when this is over!" Kenji shouted at them as everyone held their heads low except Ali.
Sammy felt tears bubbling...there he went, yelling again.
"What? You guys don't trust him?" Kenji shouted again.
Yasmina scoffed this time, how could they? The man wasn't exactly making a valid case for himself.
"Do you need to break into his office again to get proof?" Kenji questioned as he jutted his finger towards Sammy and Brooklynn, the two girls trying to avoid eye contact with him, he found out something that embarrassing to them.
"Look, this presentation is really important, maybe you don't know your dad like I do, but you do know me, so please for once, just trust me? And stay out of the way." Kenji said as he walked past the group and reached for the door.
Suddenly Sammy grabs his arm as he stopped in his tracks and turned to her with the coldest stare she had ever seen him give her.
"Kenji, pleas-" Kenji cuts Sammy off as he rips his arm out of her hands.
"Don't touch me, Sammy." He firmly stated as the Texan bit back a sob from escaping.
Her body visibily shook, the man she loved shunning her like some mutt, Brooklynn and Yasmina immediately ran over to Sammy as they ushered her to the couch before she almost collasped to the ground.
Kenji was about to leave again until he heard Ali scoff at him.
"Ya know Kenji, I really thought you'd changed." Ali stated as Kenji turned to him with a sigh.
"Oh here we go, Mr. Wise man has another long and boring speech to give out, let's hear it." Kenji said as he walked up to Ali, both of them sharing irate glares.
"Sure why not? You clearly never listened anyways, your father has you and your sister wrapped right around his finger, face it Kenji, you'll never grow up and be a man, as a kid papa got you nice stuff so you did what he said, now papa gives you fake love and you let him control you, you shouted and berated one of the only people on this God forsaken island that genuinely loves you because you're too scared to see what's right before your eyes, nothing is new, you're still the same old weak minded dumb idiot from the first day we met at Camp Cretaceous." Ali finished off; his glare hardening with each word.
Everyone else watched on as Ali ripped into Kenji, they knew the former would always joke with Kenji or try to ration with him, but they never saw him be this real with the rich boy.
Kenji's face contorted at least 4 times, first it was one of despair, then confusion, then distraughtness, now it was anger...
"You know what..." Kenji began.
"You're gonna stop disrespecting me on MY father's island, my dad is the reason we're even alive right now, you think you know everything but you don't, you DO NOT know my father!" Kenji exclaimed as he jabbed his finger into Ali's left chest, right where the scar was, now the dreadhead wasn't physically pained by this, but one thing his father always taught him, was to never let another man feel like he had the right to put his hand on you in that way.
Ali's chest rose as he breathed heavily due to anger.
Then without warning Ali swiftly tackled Kenji to the ground, Darius and Ben immediately gasped as they ran over to try and break the fight up.
"Guys! Stop!" Brooklynn shouted as Ali and Kenji wrestled for the upper hand on the floor.
Kenji got the upperhand in the beginning as he pinned Ali to the ground.
Ali stared up at him irately before using his legs to flip the rich boy over.
"Don't you ever touch me like that again!" Ali shouted as he grabbed Kenji by the latter's shirt collar, lifted him off the ground a bit before slamming him right back down.
All the while everyone else was trying to get Ali off of Kenji by shouting, but it wasn't working...the former wasn't hearing anything.
"Let go!" Darius shouted as Ali's hands were actually wrapped his hands up into Kenji's shirt.
That's when they heard it...they heard Kenji gasping and sputtering, Ali was actually inadvertently choking him, this was not something they'd ever thought to see happening.
Kenji stared up at Ali's eyes as he tried desperately to get out of the predicament, he had seen Ali upset before...even angry, but he'd never seen the boy enraged like this, what did he get himself into?
As Kenji held onto both of Ali's arms to ease up on the pressure, the latter raised his right arm up to the table next to them and grabbed a glass that was there.
Everyone gasped as Ali raised the cup slowly above his head, he seemed poised to slam it down onto Kenji's face...but he wouldn't? Would he?
The others were not taking any chances though, they had never seen Ali this mad.
Kenji gasped out as he closed his eyes quickly and braced for impact.
"Ali!" Yasmina called out...he wasn't hearing her, his vision was blurred by rage and despair for Kenji right now as he prepared to strike the rich boy with the glass.
Fortunately, when his conscience snapped him out of it and his vision came back to him right as he brought the glass down, Kenji still had his eyes shut so he was braced for impact.
"No!" Everyone in the room minus Kenji and Ali as all that was heard after was the glass shattering against the floor.
Everyone looked at the two boys on the floor, the entire room fell silent for a moment, the prior events were still registering for everyone.
Ali turned to Sammy, Yasmina, and Brooklynn who were still on the couch...they all had wary expressions for numerous reasons...he then looked over to Ben and Darius.
They too wore wary expressions...but it's clear everyone that was currently looking at him had the same thought, he was dangerous...a monster.
Kenji finally opened his eyes as he looked up at Ali was still pinning him to the ground unconsciously...ragged breaths escaping his assailant's core.
The boy then turned to the left to notice Ali had smashed the glass onto the floor beside his head instead of into his face...why? He was sure Ali hated him now and wanted to kill him? But why did he stop himself? There was blood and glass all over the floor now...not from himself though, but from the individual that intended to hurt him in the first place.
Then when Ali took the pressure off of Kenji's chest and neck finally, the latter begain sputtering.
The allstar breathed heavily as he now looked down at Kenji, who was gasping to regain air in his breaths...
He felt like a monster, an absolute monster, what was wrong with him? This was his friend...was he about to kill Kenji? No, no, this couldn't be true.
Ali slowly stood up off of Kenji as he still stood over the rich boy, who looked up at him in distress, luckily he had regained the air his body needed to survive.
The allstar then looked around to the others once more, they had not moved from their spots, Ben and Darius standing to his left...Brooklynn and Sammy on the couch still...his girlfriend had stood up now and walked up a bit.
They all gave him unreadable looks now, perhaps a bit of empathy? Nah, he knew it, he just knew they saw him as a complete monster now, they wouldn't trust him after this, hell, he wouldn't trust himself either.
Ali then despite these thoughts, still had the idea to reach out his hand and try to help Kenji to his feet.
The boy who had just been choked and almost killed by someone he had considered a brother looked at Ali's hand for a second...only to slap the hand away swiftly and stand up on his own.
Kenji, whilst rubbing his neck in pain, walked to the door, not another word was stated.
Ali then looked around the room again as the others still stood in silence, they didn't know what to say to be honest.
He looked down at the broken glass on the floor...which now had some splotches of his blood, this day was going to be a dark cloud.
The allstar then swiftly began walking to his room...he didn't want anyone to see him like this a second longer.
"Ali, wait-" Yasmina is cut off as Ali slammed his room door shut.
When the dreadhead got into the room he immediately burst into tears.
There was no stopping the tears as they flowed wildly from his eyes.
He was so lucky the rooms here were sound proofed, as he lets out a loud scream of anguish and tightly clutches his own skull with both of his hands roughly.
Ali then fell to his knees as he started to hyperventilate.
"Why? Why am I like this?" He questioned himself as he began punching the ground repeatedly, not even stopping when the skin on his knuckles was broken, his fists bled profusely, hell, his right palm was already bleeding due to the pieces of glass still stuck in them, why should he care about more pain? He deserved it...he was a murd-
"You should've killed him." Ali gasped as he heard his own voice, no...he was back.
Ali looked up to notice the dark entity that represented his inner demons talking to him.
"No...no, get away from me, please..." Ali pleaded as he began backing away frantically, like a little child who was scared to be put on punishment.
"You let him tap you in your chest and live? Are you some kinda pushover now?" Dark Ali questioned..
"Come on, where is that demon I was so proud of? You let these people get you soft, in Brooklyn you didn't care about anyone but yourself, yet here you care more about them than your own safety...worrying about these people more than yourself, so much so that you're too weak to even eat something." The entity continued.
"Let me help you, you're struggling to make everyone happy and safe when it's just not possible, the only person you need to worry about is you." Dark Ali stated as he came over to Ali, who was still backing up frantically.
"No...no...stay back...please." The allstar begged, an uncharacteristic weakness in his tone.
Suddenly the room door clicked as it opened to reveal Yasmina.
The trackstar swiftly locked the door behind her as she almost gasped at the sight before her, Ali was quite literally a mess...shambles of the boy she loved.
She couldn't stand seeing him like this, he was crawling around on the floor like a madman, mumbling incoherent statements and...and crying.
'Daan, Rihanna, mom?' Yasmina mentally questioned as these were some of the things she kept hearing...ofcourse she knew about Ali's trauma but, she didn't understand why he was mentioning them now.
No, she had to step in now.
"Ali, stop!" She shouted as she ran over to him and swiftly wrapped her arms around him, she instantly felt how tensed he was, his back rose swiftly up and down as he breathed heavily.
"No! Please...please stop." Ali almost seemed like he was begging her to let him go.
"Shhh, shhh, it's okay, stop worrying about anything for right now, just listen to my heart beat and calm down." She told him as he held his head to her chest.
Ali's breath were still irregular as Yasmina held his head to her chest with her right hand and placed her left on his back, she began rubbing it to soothe him as she felt he was still physically tensed.
She heard him sniffle and groan from the tears and mucus that was more than likely choking him up, it was like he had reverted back to an infant state and was crying profusely...like he didn't know how to express whatever was doing this to him.
"You hate me...you hate me..." Ali repeated as Yasmina looked at him warily.
"I would never...I love you, I don't even think there are enough words to explain how much I love you Ali, you're always there for everyone when we need you, especially me, that was what attracted me to you from the first place..." Yasmina stated as Ali was still shutting his eyes tightly in pain...his forehead and face had started to hurt just from crying, Yasmina's voice was helping him calm down a bit, but it wasn't enough just yet.
Before Yasmina could continue talking...she looked down at her boyfriend, as he was still looking like a shell of his former self...she took note of the many scars he had across his body, like before, she knew all of them wasn't from Nublar, but she knew a vast amount were...she mainly focused on the bullet wound...that's when realization hit her.
Even though Ali had taken a small brief time to reveal some of his pain to her...he was still always worried about helping everyone else overcome their pain and trauma that he had forgotten himself...no one was there to help him...he didn't even help himself...
Yasmina felt a tear fall from her face as she reached down and kissed Ali's forehead and continued soothing him.
"Do you...do you mean what you said?" Ali questioned her shakily.
"What?" She questioned her boyfriend.
"You actually love me?" Ali questioned her as she almost gasped.
"Don't ask such a stupid question Ali, you know I love you, I would never stop loving you for having emotions...it's okay to be hurt, stop bottling everything up, please?" Yasmina questioned him as he began calming down a bit...her voice and words were a bit reassuring.
"But...I was about to...to...kill Kenji..." Ali said as his breath hitched again.
"But you didn't, we all know you weren't going to do it, you would never want to take any one of our lives Ali, Kenji overstepped the line, and you naturally got upset, at the end of the day you controlled yourself and didn't kill him, we all still love you, trust me when I say that Ali, no one will hate you because of being a fucking human being." Yasmina stated firmly as Ali had finally stopped crying, he was still sniffling a bit though.
Yasmina patted his back as she was happy he had finally stopped crying atleast.
She then looked at his right hand as it laid flat on the floor; glass and blood still present in his palm.
Yasmina would have to get up and get supplies to help him with that but...
"Wait Ali." She stated as she began getting up, he visibly tensed again as he felt her embrace leave him.
"Don't go, please." He pleaded weakly to her as she gave him a wary look.
"Don't worry baby, I'll be back quick for you, is that okay?" Yasmina questioned as Ali nodded curtly.
Sure enough, Yasmina was shortly back as she now was tending to Ali's hand with some gauze and alcohol, the liquid caused him to hiss and tense a bit but she would rub his back to soothe him each time he tensed.
"Yas." Ali weakly called out.
"Hm?" She hummed at him, still focused on his hand.
"Do you...do you think I'm a monster?" Ali questioned her as her eyes widened and she immediately stopped what she was doing.
"How could you...say something like that?" Yasmina questioned him with a hitch of her voice.
"Look at me Yas...just look at me, I'm supposed to be the guy who never loses his composure and holds the team's burdens on top of my shoulders...but when push came to shove...I was ready to strike one of my loved ones." Ali said as he couldn't even look Yasmina in the eyes.
She couldn't stand this sight at all, the boy was detetoriating in her arms again.
"Ali, when we trusted you to be a leader, we didn't say you were obligated to take on every problem on your own, we trusted you to be there and try your hardest...nobody is expecting you to always be perfect, look at me..." Yasmina stated firmly as she cupped his cheeks and made him look her in the eyes...she instantly noticed that the once intense feature that hid behind his brown eyes was gone...it was nothing but drear and defeat left in its wake.
"You are not a monster, you are a human being with emotions, you were the one that told me we can all do stupid things when we let our emotions flare, so why not take your own advice?" Yasmina questioned him.
"This whole team would never see you as a monster, and even if the others did I would stick by your side and help you prove to them that you were the most amazing human being on this planet, because if they thought you were a monster then...no one knows you like I do, you are perfect, all the love in the Camp fam...that's all the love that YOU created...I...I...I love you Ali Ahmad." Yasmina said firmly after finding her footing, Ali's eyes widened at her tone as his heart rate began speeding up.
Before he could respond, Yasmina planted her lips onto his to deliver a deep kiss as she grabbed his collar to pull him closer.
Ali closed his eyes and accepted the kiss as he wrapped his arms around Yasmina's back to deepen the kiss.
After a short while they both separated...never once breaking eye contact.
Yasmina smiled internally as she noticed the intensity in Ali's eyes were returning...she almost had him.
"Please don't beat yourself Ali...I promise the others still love you...and besides, between you and me, we've ALL wanted to strangle Kenji at some point...the guy can be super annoying." Yasmina stated as Ali snickered at that, boy was she right.
In his mind he didn't really find the fact that Kenji was being manipulated as funny but...he couldn't help but smile to know Yasmina didn't see him as a monster.
"Yas...thank you." Ali thanked his girlfriend as she began wrapping his hand again.
"Don't thank me, this is my job." Yasmina stated with a smile.
"I love you too by the way...more than you could ever imagine..." Ali trailed off as he found himself getting lost in Yasmina's brown tresses.
She was perfect, a girl who was fiercely loyal, beautiful, and willing to show love was a commodity in this generation...his father told him that, so the allstar was surely a lucky guy.
The Lounge
Ali and Yasmina both walked back into the lounge...the former's hand was once again wrapped in gauze.
His left hand was held by Yasmina firmly as they faced the group.
Ali drew in a breath, he was prepared to give a giant apology speech but...when Brooklynn immediately rushed at him and slammed into him with a firm hug he was all but confused.
Then came Darius and Ben...and even Sammy.
"Well this isn't what I was expecting at all." Ali said with an incredulous expression, his girlfriend chuckling to herself.
"We're just glad you're okay." Brooklynn answered his confusion.
"So...you guys don't like, hate me now?" Ali questioned them.
"Ofcourse not, we understand why what happened...happened, and hey, you stopped yourself, right?" Darius questioned.
"Besides, everyone in this room knew you weren't actually going to hurt Kenji." Ben explained as Ali smiled at that...it was all true.
"Sammy?" He questioned the cowgirl who sighed.
"Look, Kenji and I...well, even if what I did was totally messed up, he never yelled at me like that or acted like that, and you two always rough house but I never thought I'd see one of your fights get that nasty...I don't want to blame this on Mr. Kon but, something isn't right, that WASN'T my Kenji." Sammy explained irately as the group separated the hug.
They all knew she made a valid point...ever since Kenji got reunited with his family it's like his personality had did a full 180.
"Guys, I'm sorry to ruin this moment but, we have to discuss our next move and fast." Darius reminded the group as everyone agreed.
"You're right D, let's discuss it in Brooklynn's room to be safe." Ali stated as they all made their way to the pinkette's room and locked the doors behind them.
"Guys...if we interfere with Mr. Kon's plans, this could change everything between us and Kenji...are we sure this is what we want to do?" Brooklynn questioned the group as they thought it over.
"I get it, I can't imagine someone asking me to go against my dad...but it doesn't change the fact that we're here, on a secret island, where the future of these dinosaurs depends on what we do next...we're the only ones who can help them." Darius declared as Ali walked up besides him.
"That's right Darius, the only thing between these dinosaurs and a life of bondage is us right now, as always, we have to step up and do what's right, even if it means going against Kon and Karina." Ali aided his fellow leader.
Yasmina drew in a deep breath.
"Kenji won't like this, but he'll have to come to his senses...eventually." Yasmina stated as she urged Sammy to see why they had to go against Kenji, the cowgirl understood it was for the better, but she still hated this.
"And if it means stopping Mr. Kon from hurting more dinosaurs..." Ben trailed off.
"Or people who have done nothing wrong..." Brooklynn continued.
"Then it's only right we go out there and stop him, no other choice." Ali stated as he placed his fist out.
The rest of the group minus Sammy nodded ane connected their fist to his.
Sammy hesitated for a bit before placing her fist as well...this was just to save Kenji.
Jungle Biome
Karina, her father and the three investors sat in the Jungle Biome area that was prepped for the presentation.
"Wow, nice little set-up." Karina said in a flat tone.
"Sure is a lot of walking, aren't there any cars on this island?" Mr. Gold questioned.
"Or even horses? Say the word Kon, and I'll get my hands on some caspians for you." Molina offered.
"Hey then maybe we can watch some dinosaurs chow down on them." Silas stated as he slaps Kenji's shoulder, which elicited a yelp from the latter.
Karina fought the urge to facepalm, these were seriously her dad's best choices?
She then noticed how awkward her brother had felt in this newfound position.
It hit her...he was still worried about his stupid friends.
"Hey, remember, we are your real family, they wouldn't have your back like we do, lighten up Kenj." Karina whispered to her brother.
"You're right...I got this." Kenji assured his sister as they shared a smile.
"Hey, wait for me!" The group stops and turns to notice Kash running up to them.
"Sorry I'm late but I didn't know we were starting, why didn't you give me a buzz?" Kash questioned Daniel.
Karina clicked her tongue in feigned disappointment as she shook her head.
"It looks like someone didn't get the memo." She stated with a chuckle as Kash gave her a crossed look.
"What is she talking about?" Kash questioned Daniel as he gestured to Karina.
"How do I put this lightly Kash...you are simply no longer needed." Daniel said coldly as Kash's expression swiftly morphed.
"HUH?" He was in disbelief...Karina covered her mouth to stifle her own little sinister giggle, she absolutely reveled in the expression of hurt on Kash's stupid face.
"Well it's simple really Kash, I will do the presentation with my family...rather than you." Daniel stated as he puts a hand on both of his children's respective shoulders.
"I'm sorry...you are doing a presentation with two kids...instead of your head technician?" Kash questioned in outrage.
"You see, my children are both loyal to me, and of course should be rewarded as such, they will stand by my side." Daniel stated as Kenji couldn't help but smile at this...yes...his sister was right, this was his family.
The door that led to the forest biome opens as the investors along with Kenji and Karina step in, leaving a disparaged Kash and an unwavering Daniel Kon.
"But...but...I did all the work here! You said I'd get what I deserved!" Kash shouted as he accidentally spit...some of his saliva landed on Daniel's cheek...the latter's once stoic expression was replaced with a more horrifying one.
Mr. Kon then slowly wiped the spit off of his face as he looked at his hand in rage.
Without another word, Daniel swiftly reaches out and grabs Kash roughly by the neck, the latter was no longer sporting an irate expression as he was gasping for air now.
"You insolent fool...do not raise your voice to the man whom you betrayed...yet still allows you to walk with your life." Mr. Kon stated as he tightened his grip on Kash's neck.
"Grovel." Daniel stated firmly as he released Kash, only for the latter to drop to his knees while gasping for air.
Kash weakly placed his hands on Daniel's quads to support himself as he was still trying to regain his breath.
"Now run along to back to whatever hole you just crawled out of..." Daniel stated eerily.
Then without warning he swiftly strikes Kash square in the nose with his knee, a loud yelp of pain escaped the latter as he curled up onto the ground and clutched his now bleeding nose.
Mr. Kon had no sympathy for the weasel, he simply straightened his suit and turned to follow after the group that was already half-way through the hall...leaving Kash a mess on the floor.
Designated Presentation Area
Mr. Kon had his investors seated as he, Karina and Kenji stood before them whilst he delivered his pitch.
"I know all of you were looking forward to a thrilling dinosaur fight..." Daniel began as he glanced to Kenji who tensed at this notion.
"But there has been a slight change in plans." Daniel continued as Kenji smiled lightly and visibly relaxed, his sister places a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
Silas however, was not sharing the same benevolence as the Kon family, he came here to see dinos rip eachother to shreds, not a 'Family Matters,' skit.
"I'm out of here." Silas stated flatly as he stood up to leave.
"Ah don't be so hasty Silas, we are giving you all something much better." Daniel stated as Silas stopped and decided to atleast give him a chance of redemption.
Daniel then nodded to Kenji and Karina as the two siblings broke off to play their parts.
Karina grabs the black and gold PlayStationesque controller type object from a tablestand as Kenji picks up a tablet.
The latter then taps a control on the tablet that switched the lighting in the biome to a more dim one with the only spotlight being placed on the Kon family.
Karina smiled as her father gave her the signal, with that, she clicked a button on the controller, immediately after her doing this, a set of loud stomps began to shake the Earth.
The investors, who were otherwise unimpressed up until this point, were now on their feet and wearing tense yet weary expressions.
Kenji then gained a puzzled expression as his father and sister smirked, he wasn't really filled in on this part.
There was no time to question them though, the loud steps were getting closer and closer to them.
The investors gasped as the dinosaurs came into view, Big Eatie, The Raptor twins and the Spinosaurus all stood at Karina's command now.
"With Mantah Corp's new technology, you don't just watch the show, YOU ARE the show!" Daniel exclaimed as Karina ordered the dinosaurs to let out fierce and loud roars.
She lets go of the button as she had realized this display was enough for the investors to be swayed, now it was up to her father to close this out.
Kenji then flipped the biome's lighting back to normal as the investors looked from the Kons to the dinosaurs back and forth.
"All that power, is in your hands!" Daniel exclaimed as Kenji gave two more controllers to Gold and Molina as they smirked at the idea of controlling the titans.
Karina then walks up to Silas as she handed him her controller with a smirk plastered onto her face.
"Try not to be too shaky out there, tough guy." She said before patting the man's shoulder much to his dismay.
The investors then smirked to each other, before turning to the dinosaurs, this was going to be fun.
CAMP FAM
The Camp Fam was running directly to where they knew the conference would be, they had to stop this before it went too far.
Unfortunately, they were not prepared to be met with a wall of BRAD-Xes who were seemingly prepared to fire on them if necessary.
"Damn it, Kon was thinking ahead, he knew we were gonna try something." Ali stated in annoyance.
"Should we try another air lock?" Sammy suggested.
"Mr. Kon would have already thought of that, we're running out of time." Darius stressed.
"The more time we waste here the closer Kon gets to sealing this deal." Ali stated as he racked his brain.
"Wait! We don't need air locks, we can use the food platforms, come on!" Yasmina shouted as she ran ahead, the rest of the group following after her.
Presentation Area
The Kons watched as the investors were seemingly having fun as they tested the dinosaurs out.
Daniel then brought both children into halfway embraces.
"Well kids, it looks like we finally did it, I know it hasn't always been easy but, I'm glad that I got to do this alongside my two perfect children." Daniel praised both his son and daughter equally.
"It feels good dad, isn't that right, Kenj?" Karina questioned her brother who offered her a smile.
"Ofcourse, we're Kons after all, gotta represent, right?" Kenji questioned his father who smiled at him.
The Kons then returned their attention to the investors, Molina was messing with the Raptors, Silas was testing the Spinosaurus, and Gold was using Big Eatie.
"Hey!" Silas called out to the fellow investors as they all stopped.
"What do you say we make it interesting, huh? How about a little battle royale, I mean we were promised a fight, soooo." Silas drawled as the other investors hummed in agreement, Kenji's face then became petrified.
Even Karina was a bit tense at that, as far as she knew, her father was completely done with dinosaur fights, right?
"Dad, they can't, the dinos will get injured, I've seen it already." Kenji pleaded with his father who placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"OfCourse, we'll just keep an eye on their damage levels, you know, stop it before anything serious happens." Daniel stated as he brought up a display of the dinos and their health bars.
He was still getting used to it, but it was feeling so good to have his father actually be proud of him, so much so that he could not realize what was happening before his very eyes.
The Kons then returned their attention to the investors, Molina was messing with the Raptors, Silas was testing the Spinosaurus, and Gold was using Big Eatie.
CAMP FAM
The group came to the top of a feeding platform as they were now in the same biome as the display, they still had to go a little distance to get to it though.
"Guys...look." Ben directed their attention to the dinosaur health bars that were displayed at the top of the biome.
"But Mr. Kon promised no more dino fights..." Sammy trailed off.
"At this point, are we shocked that that wasn't a truthful promise?" Yasmina questioned the group as they went quiet after that.
Ali then drew in a breath as he clenched his fists, his mind ran wild of the many problems he was internally battling.
Getting home, staying alive, protecting Yasmina, hunger...Kenji Kon.
Without so much as a word, Ali took off running towards the presentation area, the others followed after him as he was seemingly slowing down for nothing at the moment.
As Ali came to a halt at the sight of the dinosaurs fighting, the group came right behind him as they all wore disgusted and wary expression at the display.
The All Star then turned to notice Kenji standing besides Daniel and Karina...not saying anything about this.
"We need to hurry up and disable those chips! Split up, and be careful!" Darius shouted as the others nodded and broke off to do their parts.
All except Ali...he hesitated as he could not believe his eyes still...Kenji had lost himself.
"Ali?" He heard Brooklynn call out, breaking him out of his stupor.
"Come on." She urged him as he shook his head and focused up.
"Right, sorry." Ali apologized as he got up and followed after the pinkette.
Darius then gives a signal as the camp fam storms the Kon family's stand whilst shouting for the investors to drop the controllers.
Daniel was taken back, how did they get past his BRADs?
"We're gonna disable the chips!" Darius shouted out as Mr. Kon's eyes widened.
"Disable the chips? How did they- Mae..." Daniel trailed off as realization struck.
"Aye Kon! Get these kids out of here!" Silas shouted out.
"Actually...I'll do it myself." Silas declared as he prepared to use the Spinosaurus against the campers.
"Dad...I...I told them to stay out of this." Kenji tried to defend himself as Daniel rounded on him.
"Your so-called friends are going to ruin, EVERYTHING!" Daniel shouted.
"Karina-" Daniel is cutoff as his daughter brandishes her electricity gaunlets.
"I got it dad." She stated as she prepared to go after the campers, only for Kenji to stop her much to her confusion.
"No! This is my fault...please let me fix it." Kenji pleaded as his dad gave him an irate glare.
"Fine." He stated as Karina powered her gaunlets off.
"You better not let me down, Kenji." Daniel urged his son.
"I won't." Kenji said curtly as he prepared to go stop his friends.
"My son is NOT to be harmed!" Daniel shouted at the investors.
The campers were busy trying to evade the dinosaurs as the investors were controlling the latter to attack the former.
"Can we disable the chips already?" Ben shouted as he and Ali ran from Silas' Spinosaurus.
"Regardless of if this thing is mind controlled or not, it would still devour us! So shut up and run!" Ali shouted as they bounded over rocks and logs.
Darius and Brooklynn were busy evading Mr. Gold and Big Eatie.
"Stop, RUNNING!" Gold shouted as he forced Big Eatie to stomp roughly, this caused Darius to lose balance and fall to the ground.
"Darius!" Brooklynn shouted as she ran over to him.
They both got up and swiftly ran out of the way of Big Eatie.
Sammy and Yasmina were trapped by Molina's raptors, the bald woman was nowhere to be seen but she knew her raptors had caught them.
Sammy whimpered warily as the raptors prepared to pounce and finish them off.
Fortunately right as they were about to be mauled, they were pulled out of harms way.
Molina arrived on the scene and was left in confusion.
"Where's the bloody aftermath?" She questioned as if the raptors could respond.
Sammy and Yasmina were brought to a stop as they were relieved and ready to face their savior.
However, when the Texan realized their savior was her boyfriend, who was certainly not too pleased to see them, her face became wary.
"Kenji we-" Kenji cuts his girlfriend off.
"I told you guys to stay away! But you couldn't leave it alone, could you?" Kenji questioned with a rage filled tone.
"No, we could not, we're not just gonna sit back and let people use the dinos as puppets for their entertainment." Yasmina stated as she swiftly stood up and began walking away, ignoring the glare that Kenji was sending her way.
Sammy seemingly hesitated for a bit, torn between the man she loved more than anyone else...or doing the right thing.
Ultimately she chose to stand up and follow Yasmina...this left Kenji with a disparaged expression now, everything was falling apart.
Back with Ali and Ben, who were now hiding in a tree as Silas rode the Spinosaurus around the area searching for them.
"On my signal." Ali said to Ben who nodded.
After a brief time had passed, Ali gave Ben the signal as the latter dropped a leaf down onto Silas who was immediately taken off guard by it.
The man looked up, but it was all too late as he noticed Ali and Ben both lunge at him from the tree they were just in.
There was no time to react as Ben landed on the Spinosaurus' snout and Ali tackled Silas off of the dinosaur, this caused the latter to lose his controller in the process.
Ali and Silas both shook their heads to regain their surroundings, immediately glaring at each other once they had done so.
Both individuals then turned to the controller that was on the forest floor...without so much as a word, they both dove at it and began wrestling for it.
"Ben, please tell me you're almost done!" Ali shouted as he struggled against Silas for the controller, as they fought random commands were being pressed, effectively making Ben's job harder,
"Why don't you come up here and do something like this while being swung around like a ragdoll!" Ben shouted as he tried relentlessly to disable the Spinosaurus chip.
Ben finally got a good shot of the creature's neck as he jammed the signal jammer into it, a few sparks following.
"What was that?" Silas questioned as he and Ali stopped wrestling for a second due to the flying sparks drawing his attention.
Ali noticed Ben leap off of the Spinosaurus as the creature seemingly had gained back control of itself, if it's dilated pupils were any indication.
It looked like Silas however, did NOT realize this new information.
Ali smirked as he handed the controller over to Silas, the latter raised a brow at this.
"It's all yours." Ali stated as he immediately ran off, Ben following right after.
"Cocky kids...I'll show them, attack!" Silas shouted as he clicked the controller in hopes of the Spinosaurus following the command.
Unfortunately the creature did no such thing...it simply walked up to Silas with slitted eyes and a haughty growl.
"Go kill them-woah! No! ACK!" Silas cried out in pain as the Spinosaurus immediately began mauling him...but those cries were short-lived...
Brooklynn and Darius were still running from Gold and Big Eatie...but the Dino nerd had developed a plan that the pinkette deemed as the single dumbest plan he ever had, butttttt, they were out of options.
Which is why Mr. Gold was shocked to see Darius randomly run right towards Big Eatie, he immediatel gasped and was ready to make the titan attack Darius.
Fortunately he didn't even get the chance because before he could do anything a certain Superstar had latched onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck in a sleeper hold and clamping her legs around his torso in a scissor lock.
Mr. Gold frantically tried to get Brooklynn off of him, but the pinkette was scrappier than she looked.
Whilst the two of them were fighting over the controller, Darius was trying to disable the chip.
Unfortunately their fighting made the dinosaur move too much, causing this to be harder than it should.
"Try and hold her steady!" Darius shouted out.
"What do you think I'm doing?" Brooklynn shouted back as she relentlessly fought Gold.
After an inadvertent click of a button on the controller, Big Eatie's tail had ended up swiping Darius into a tree causing Brooklynn to gasp and lose focus.
"Darius!" She shouted with fear lacing her tone.
Gold used this distraction to effectively throw Brooklynn off of him as she grunted upon hitting the ground.
He then turned his attention back to Darius as he ordered Big Eatie to attack the boy.
Darius however, was looking up to the dinosaur health bar screen to notice that Big Eatie was no longer being controlled...but how?
No time however, he simply bowed his head to the floor so that the Tyrannosaurus would know he was not a threat.
Fortunately it worked, she recognized that this boy was no adversary to her.
Unfortunately for Mr. Gold, she was not too fond of him.
Brooklynn immediately snuck her way over to Darius as they watched Big Eatie stomp over to Gold menacingly.
"Why aren't you working?" Gold shouted as the T. Rex was upon him now.
He barely had time to scream out as she immediately stepped on him, effectively smashing him into a flat paste on the forest floor.
Brooklynn covered her mouth with a gasp as she placed her body into Darius' embrace, they both were remorseful of the man's death, sure he was a scumbag but...no one deserved to die like that.
"Are...are you hurt?" Brooklynn questioned Darius as she lifted his shirt slightly, much to the embarassment of the former.
The Pinkette had immediately took note of the giant welt forming on his small torso from Big Eatie's tail swipe.
"Brooklynn I'm fine...really-ack!" He exclaimed with a hiss of pain following due to Brooklynn pressing on the wound.
"Okay maybe I'm not." Darius stated as she gave him a knowing look.
Sammy and Yasmina were the last two still dealing with dinosaurs, as the raptor twins were hot on their trail again.
They ended up splitting a path, unfortunately the raptors both zoned in on Sammy who was significantly slower than Yasmina.
As the Texan was now cornered by two raptors, she prepared for the worst.
Fortunately Yasmina took note of this and immediately turned and ran back to help her best friend.
She stood in front of Sammy and tried to use the disabler on the raptors but it didn't work quickly.
Molina had arrived on the scene as she smirked, this was a easy kill.
Yasmina and Sammy were prepared for the worst...but almost as if by the grace of CONVENIENCE, Kash came out of nowhere and began trying to take Molina's controller, effectively distracting the bald woman from her task.
Kash swiftly snatched the controller out of the woman's hands as he scoffed.
"Not so tough now, are ya?" He questioned her as she turned and ran off.
"You're lucky you're not at the top of my get list!" Kash then shouted as he prepared to use the raptors to exact revenge.
"But...you are Kon...hope you girls are hungry." Kash stated smugly, completely failing to realize the raptors were'nt mind controlled anymore.
He soon realized this when one of the raptors lunged at him though, his rapture was upon him.
"Wait...no...no...NOOOOOOO!" Kash shouted out as the raptors dragged him into the forest...his screams came to a halt after a point.
The camp fam all regrouped near Kash was as they were probably the last ones to hear Kash's screams.
"Are they all..." Darius trailed off as the group had already accepted that reality...that was three deaths in one day.
Ali then turned to the Kon's stand, Karina and Daniel stood there, they were definitely livid because of this interference.
However, before anyone could make a move, the Spinosaurus came into the view of the campers.
It immediately charged the Kons as they did not realize it's presence at first, Ali's eyes widened as he began running to the stand as well.
The campers gasped as the creature was seemingly ready to maul both Daniel and Karina.
Daniel immediately dives out of harms way, but he did not warn his own daughter as she was in a blind spot, hence why she would not be able to evade this attack.
This felt like it was it...her time on this planet would be cut short by a creature her father created.
Everyone watched in horror as the Spinosaurus lunged at Karina, with one loud roar and giant stomp the entire stand was destroyed swiftly.
"Karina!" Daniel shouted as a huge dust cloud had formed, the Spinosaurus continued running into the forest.
"Sis!" Kenji shouted as he ran over to the debris as both he and his dad began clearing it when the dust had cleared out.
They were shocked to find that Karina's body was nowhere to be found...did the Spinosaurus get her?
"Ali!" Yasmina shouted out as the Camp fam arrived on the scene.
Everyone was confused until they heard a groan from a few spots in front of them.
Dust was still in that area as they could hardly make anything out.
However, when the dust fully cleared they realized that Ali and Karina were both on the forest floor, shielding their eyes and faces from any impact, they were seemingly unscathed.
They all simultaneously gasped when they realized what had happened...Ali had saved Karina from an early demise.
No one however...was more shocked than Karina as she opened her eyes to realize it was in fact Ali Ahmad that had just saved her life...but why? She could not for the life of her understand this boy, why...why...why...why...WHY did he save her?
'Just...what are you?' She mentally questioned as Ali's eyes began opening as well.
"SIS!" Kenji shouted as he and Daniel ran over to help her to her feet.
"Are you alright?" Daniel questioned his daughter as he brought her head to his chest.
"I'm...I'm fine..." She trailed off, but she was not fine at all.
Yasmina helped her boyfriend stand up as she along with the rest of the camp fam began questioning Ali as to whether or not he was okay.
This however was short lived as Daniel cleared his throat to get their attention.
They turned to notice him, along with Kenji sending them an irate glare, Karina however, for the first time, had a vulnerable expression on her face...she was going through an interenal crisis.
"This isn't right...I just got my family back...and now I almost lost them completely because...because of YOU!" Kenji shouted towards his friends as they were all taken back by this, why was he completely ignoring the fact that it was Ali who SAVED his sister's life just now?
"We were just doing what was right." Darius stated firmly.
"Look around, does any of this seem right to you?" Kenji questioned them irately alluding to the fact the presentation was destroyed.
"Was it better before? When you were willfully watching the dinosaurs fight?" Ali questioned Kenji as the former walked up to the latter and placed his face mere centimeters away from the other's.
Kenji was stifled by this as they both glared into eachother's souls...there was not much that could be said to that.
However before anything else could be said, Ali was swiftly punched in his face and put on the ground much to the shock of everyone in the vicinity.
Everyone except the culprit of course...they all realized Karina had struck the allstar with the gauntlet as he was knocked clean out on the floor.
The camp fam immediately tried to go aid their friend who was on the forest floor unconscious...but it was futile as Daniel ordered a group of BRAD-xes to bar them off.
"He...saved you." Yasmina stated in a hushed tone as Karina seemingly had no remorse to offer her...the only thing she got in response was a cold stare.
Yasmina felt tears welling in her eyes as she watched at Ali's down state at the feet of the Kon family.
Sammy was distraught, why was Kenji standing there letting this all happen?
"Do you kids have any idea what you've done? You've ruined us...all of our investors are gone!" Daniel shouted, completely disregarding anything else right now, he was just focused on his money.
"Not all of us." Molina's voice caught everyone off guard as they turned to see the bald woman emerge from the forest with a smirk and a phone in hand.
"Sorry I snuck my phone in, my buyer is still on board...this." She began as she gestured to the area around them.
"Was a disaster, but Biosyn is very interested in your tech, they wanna meet, but not here, obviously." Molina relayed to Daniel.
"Great, set it up." Daniel said with a faint smile.
"Oh trust me, I'll make sure they're not a problem anymore." Daniel stated as the Camp fam gave him wary looks.
Morning
Kon wasn't wrong...his method was ruthless but he had put the camp fam in a pen...all except Ali who had been brought somewhere else earlier by none other than Karina Kon.
No one could believe this, especially not Sammy...her boyfriend was standing idly by as her father locked them up like animals.
"You can't be serious...this is inhumane!" Brooklynn shouted as Daniel rolled his eyes.
"Enough! This is for your own good, you've proven that you can't be trusted to roam freely, besides it's only for a few days while we meet our new buyer on Isla Nublar." Daniel revealed as the group gasped at that.
"Nublar? And you're seriously going to let this happen?" Darius questioned Kenji who avoided eye contact with the group.
"This can't be what you really want Kenji..." Brooklynn trailed off.
"Save it, none of you care what I want, I..." Kenji trails off as he took a glance at Sammy before sighing, effectively burying all the love he held for her.
"I'm done with you guys." Kenji said firmly as the whole group felt like a boulder was dropped on them with that statement.
Yasmina had had enough of this, she didn't want to listen to Kenji berate them as his father continued to manipulate him.
The trackstar slammed her palm against the pen's glass as everyone turned their attention to her.
"Where, is, Ali." She said gravely as Daniel Kon delivered the sickest smirk ever.
"Ah, he'll be here shortly, don't worry." Daniel stated as Yasmina glared daggers through his soul.
Ali
The All Star began to stir awake as he blinked a few times to unblur his vision...he didn't recognize where he was...but he quickly took note of the fact his hands were clasped in laser cuffs,
All he remembered was getting struck across the face with a metallic object, that explains the giant, bloody cut on his right cheek.
"Finally awake, huh?" He heard a voice question him as he realized he wasn't alone, it was Karina.
Ali gave her a cold stare, he was in no hurry to have a conversation with this girl.
"So what's your M.O., Ali Ahmad? You wanna be mysterious or something?" She continously questioned him as he offered her no answer.
Then uncharacteristically, the young Kon had lost her composure and grown angry with Ali's defiant nature.
"Why...Why did you save me?" She questioned as Ali arched a brow at this...so that's what this was about.
To be honest...Ali himself couldn't understand why he saved her...his body was just moving on it's own.
"Answer me!" She shouted as she slammed the gauntlet into the wall, mere inches away from Ali's face.
She really wanted to know didn't she? It was killing her inside, Ali was still offering her an unreadable stare as he was analyzing her expression.
Then it hit Ali...this girl was not evil, she was just lost and hurt...a soul looking for a genuine connection, a soul that had no recollection of real affection...no doubt due to having a father like Daniel Kon.
Karina then powered the gauntlet on as the electricity warmed Ali's face up...he wasn't in ANY rush to gain another mark though.
"You should be more worried about why your father didn't save you...than why I did." Ali answered as Karina's eyes widened at that.
She then grew angry again as she pulled her gaunlet back and placed her bare hand onto Ali's neck area.
The All Star was scared now...he might've messed up big time now...
His mind stopped working when Karina grasped his chain into her hand, that's when he began panicking.
She smirked as she realized his face had morphed into one of fear, the once stoic expression he had was replaced with one of sheer anxiety...she could almost smell how afraid he was.
Without so much as a warning, Karina immediately ripped the chain off of Ali's neck...and with that, his whole world began shattering before him.
This was more decimating than any punch she could've gave him.
"No!" Ali grunted out as he tried to get to Karina only to fall over due to the fact his feet were shackled too.
"Hm, shiny." She said with a smirk as he held the chain up into the light and admired it.
"I'll hold onto this, let's go." Karina stated as she ordered the BRAD-xes to help her escort Ali to the pen his friends were in, all the while he was relentlessly trying to escape and get his chain back, ofcourse to no avail.
Back in the pen, Yasmina was still waiting for her boyfriend to be brought in, she was not taking her eyes off of the Kons until she saw him.
Lo and behold, Ali was roughly brought into the room by the BRAD-xes as the camp fam, mainly Yasmina was happy to see he was safe.
"Ali!" She shouted as she pressed her hands against the pen.
"I'm fine guys I swear." Ali swore to his friends as he was ushered into a pen across from them.
Karina took the laser cuffs and shackles off of him as he stepped into the cell and gave her the most stoic glare he could muster.
The girl simply smirked and backed away from his cell.
"Is this what you wanted? Do you feel accomplished?" Ali her Kenji question him as he turned to his supposed best friend with an irate glare.
"All this time...the only thing you tried to do is make me feel like I was a idiot...well who's behind a cell and who's not Ahmad?" Kenji questioned Ali as he walked up to the latter's cell.
Ali offered him no words, he simply reached through the feeding hole and swiftly snatched Kenji's shirt collar, slamming the rich boy's face against the glass roughly.
Ali stared at Kenji firmly as he held his best friend against the glass.
Fortunately for Kenji, his sister came to his rescue as she prodded her gauntlet at Ali, forcing the latter to let Kenji go in fear of being electrocuted.
The camp fam was watching this exchange from this pen...they were all wondering how the group had crumbled like this.
Kenji was about to retaliate against Ali only for his father to stop him with a hand.
Daniel then walked up to Ali's pen as he slid down half the glass so that only Ali's upper body wasn't covered.
"Ali Ahmad, you know, when you own an island...it's important to watch everyone and everything." He began as Ali arched a brow.
"I've been watching you...you haven't ate a thing since you got to my penthouse..." Daniel revealed as Ali almost gasped...how did he realize?
The others were shocked too...they hadn't realized this...Yasmina's resolve was faltering, Ali was going through all of this on a completely empty stomach.
"I have a proposal." Mr. Kon said to Ali as he brandished two buckets, one filled with fruits and one filled with water.
"I will allow you to drink and eat as you please if you admit one thing." Daniel continued as Ali glared at him.
"Earlier you told my son I was a small, slimey little man trying to live a big man life, correct?" Daniel questioned Ali.
"Well if you admit that I am in fact a big man...actually no, the BIGGEST man, I'll let you eat and drink." Daniel finished as Ali thought it over...his pride was arguing with his hunger pains.
"Baby..." He heard Yasmina call out to him as she mouthed for him to just say it so he can eat...Ali seemingly relented.
"You...are...the...biggest..." Ali began slowly as Daniel smirked and picked up the bucket of water.
He allowed Ali to drink a good amount of the water as he smirked.
"Come on, where's the rest?" Daniel questioned smugly as Ali paused...he held the water in his mouth...the next move was about to be his gutsiest or his dumbest move ever.
As without another warning he spat all of the water out at Mr. Kon's face as everyone in the room gasped at Ali's blatant defiance, even the camp fam was shocked.
Yasmina was wary, that was Ali's only chance to eat...
Mr. Kon was livid as he wiped the water off of his face.
He then fully locked Ali's pen as he walked over to the hose quietly.
Daniel returned, and before Ali could react, the former put the hose to a very high pressure and placed it through the feeding hole.
The stream from the hose was so swift and powerful, Ali was slammed into the wall as he tried to block his face, the campers all let out fearful gasps at the thud.
"NO! Stop!" Yasmina shouted as she banged against the pen and was forced to endure her boyfriend's suffering.
Ali coughed and sputtered as the water often got into his mouth and nose, Daniel all the while wore a calm expressrion and internally enjoyed torturing the boy.
"Kenji! You have to stop this...he's your friend..." Sammy pleaded with her boyfriend, only to be ignored.
Daniel finally turned the hose off as Ali fell to the ground and coughed and choked, desperately trying to regain his breath.
Mr. Kon straightened his suit before leaving the room, pleased with what he had done, he knew why he did what he just did.
Karina followed soon after...Kenji did as well...not even taking one last glance at his girlfriend or his friends if they could even be considered that anymore.
Yasmina was still banging against the glass, desperately trying to get Ali to respond to her, but the boy was still coughing up water, Darius and Ben tried desperately to console the track star as her boyfriend was forced to suffer for his own defiance...it would seem going against Daniel Kon would only yield more of this...
THE KONs
Daniel was in the hall as he watched Kenji enter his room.
He then turned to her daughter who still had Ali's chain in her hands, Karina had noticed her father's expression.
"What?" She questioned him.
"Nothing, I was just making sure you hadn't gone soft because of earlier...that boy is the enemy, that's why I isolated him...if it wasn't too much of a hassle, I would have killed him...but this is much better." Daniel relayed to his daughter as she thought it over...Ali saved her...but it didn't matter, he was a threat to her father...and any threat to her father was meant to be terminated.
Karina stared at the chain in her hand once more...Ali Ahmad was coming to his end soon enough...
