Here we have a redhead with hair going down to the back of his knees sleeping with a book on "How to Make Damascus." on his face. Within a few minutes however, the sound of footsteps can be heard approaching this redhead.

"Are you seriously going to just lay there sleeping all this time?" The woman with feathery blonde hair said as she folded her arms in disappointment.
zzzrt! "Mnmmm? The fuck do you want Ashlyn?"
"Ain't you supposed to be writin' like, several stories for people?"
"You say that like the brain ever gives me any motivation to do anything."
Ashlyn shrugs in mild agreement before hoisting something heavy over her shoulder. "Eh, got me there. But still ya gotta get something out so no one thinks yer dead. Lucky for you Geno, I think I got an idea to help?"
"Hoh? And what's that firecrack-!!!"
CRUNCH!
As Geno lifted up the book from his face, he got face full of thighs before something came crashing down onto his crotch that actually made him bounce off the ground a bit before gasping for air.
"Oghothgoghtoghthghslfhti!!!!"
"Ya gonna get to writing that chapter?" Ashlyn said as she hoisted the Sledgehammer with the word "Motivation" written on the side of the head.
Geno groaned and gasped for air as he couldn't even get onto his knees. The sounds he made were incoherent and a jumbled mess.
"Hm, I guess I'll take that as a yes." Ashlyn said as she turned to the away from the downed form of Geno. "I'll be doing the reviews as well if ya don't mind."
"F-Fuck you!" Geno said in a squeak of his voice as he curled his hands into fists as Ashlyn walked away.

TwinStarDragon- Hmm, you're not wrong, but giving Ddraig any body part at all is a dangerous procedure. Giving him your heart and chest is no exception and is considered the most dangerous to give. Plus the body part given would look more like a red dragon, more specifically to look more like Ddraig, not a black star like jewel jutting out of Issei's body like it would with the Boosted Gears Balance Breaker (which would be green/emerald in color. Good idea though but just wouldn't be believable to the other characters he may run into in the future.
WarThorn: I see what you're saying but keep in mind that Aurora said she's NOT a Sacred Gear so she likely wouldn't even get a Balance Breaker due to those being a bug (unless Issei somehow finds a way to break the damn thing ((like you would in any game))) Hmm may have given me an idea though. I'll have to work out the kinks before anything else however.

Chapter 3
Baby's First Dungeon.
"So... any idea what this is for Aurora?"
"You seriously don't know what a key is for? I know your dumb kid but come on!"
Issei flushed in embarrassment as he looked down at his chest. "Hey! I'm not dumb, I just can't read situations all that well sometimes... and sometimes have common sense issues... and sometimes fail with math problems..."
"Not helping your case here kid, look just scan the damn thing and it will tell you what it's for." Aurora commented before stating the obvious.
"Hey!... Ugh fine I'll do it, not like I have anything better to do today since I finished my daily training."
It had been about three days since the battle with the wolves and Issei had been going through the motions, training, hunting for his next meal, rinse and repeat. And honestly Issei was starting to get frustrated with his lack of growth, he knows that it's better to level up instead of training due to seeing it first hand.
Yet as much as he tried, he couldn't beat the other monsters he came across.

The boy had run into a number of high leveled monsters on the outer edge of the forest but were either too fast and dextrous to keep up and take down, held too much raw power to beat physically and held too much defense to cut very much, or had the help of multiple subordinates to realistically fight on his own. In other words.
Issei was stuck.
sure Issei had gotten his AGI to 19, but that wasn't enough to keep up with most of anything in this forest, even with the Aura Body Reinforcement that he had nearly raised to level 4 which he was happy about. As well as his Block for both Martial Arts and Sword Mastery as well as the Dodge has gained a level in his fights. but there was something that also came out of it.
Dagger Mastery (Novice) LVL 1
The ability to hold a dagger with familiarity and basic skill. A much smaller bladed weapon compared from swords and short swords, these weapons are known for easy concealment and excellent assassin and Distance Control.
Grants a 5% attack buff based on your DEX stat.
Issei was very happy about that skill appearing, since it allows him to actually know what he's doing with a dagger now. Speaking of which.

The boy had been trying to use the dagger sparingly so as to not have his weapons break on him in the middle of combat. So far his plan is going rather well honestly. He gets to work on his hand to hand combat (Which hasn't grown any levels since the wolf battle.) as well as his fighting instincts since this all is actual combat. Although even Aurora had stated that Issei has a minor debuff that appeared during the imp fight from last week.
Perks:
Body of a Coward.
The Host's body is not tuned for combat in any way shape or form. This fact puts a 35% debuff on the growth of any combat related skills. This perk can be lost once enough combat related experience has been earned.
Issei was not a happy boy when he saw this. It made so much sense now, why he never grew as a fighter! it was because of this fucking perk!
"That... That is bullshit! BULLSHIT! YOU MEAN TO TELL ME I WASNT GROWING BECAUSE OF A FUCKING PERK?!" Issei roared out in anger upon seeing this perk on his screen, it explained a lot honestly.
"Now Issei calm down, this may be what's slowing your progress but it says that it can be nullified if you grow strong enough, everything will be fine. You just gotta work at it." Aurora said, trying to calm Issei down who was honestly pissed at this development.
"I just... ugh, let's just get this over with." Issei said in defeat as he scanned the key he had gotten from the loot box.

"Oh, a dungeon key? how rare are these to get a hold of?" Issei wondered as he looked at the weirdly shaped green key. Aurora chimes in to explain as Issei got up from his rest from finishing the Daily Quest.
"Eh they're kinda rare, you got about a 30% chance of one even dropping and that's for E rank keys. this one is a D rank so it's about a 25% chance. Although there are also other things you would have gotten instead. But still, congrats, the dungeon shouldn't be more than what you can handle, sure the recommended level is 10 but You've been working on your training, you should be able to do this one no problem." Aurora said, trying to cheer the boy on to do the dungeon and get stronger. This honestly made Issei pause for a moment to think about his decision.
"Hm, that's a good point. and it could allow me to gain access to the Synthesis Menu once I reach level 10... Hmm alright, I got some food left so let's eat and be on our way over there then." Issei said as he began to pull out one of the cooked skewers he had in his inventory before Aurora stopped him.
"Actually kid, your gonna want to hold on to that, this dungeon could be long so your going to need some provisions in there, I suggest going to the river as well to collect some water for your canteen too." Aurora said which surprised Issei.
"Are they really known for being that long?" Issei said in surprise as he looked down at the gem poking out of his bare chest.
"One of my Hosts had to survive in there for a week once due to how much trouble he was having with the boss. he had to grind out the full dungeon and kill each and every single monster in there in order to grow strong enough to kill that damned thing, never thought I'd see a Giant Wolf be killed by having it's throat crushed by someone smaller than it." Aurora said while shaking her head, making it clear to Issei that he may be in for a rough time if he's not careful.
"R-Right, I guess I better hunt another rabbit or something to get my stomach full before I head over then. Don't wanna start it off on an empty stomach."
"You really don't wanna start eating tree bark and roots again do you?"
"It's so gross Aurora! Meat just tastes so good!"
"Well at least I know you're a carnivore by nature."
A few hours later:
"Nom! Sho! This is the place?" Issei said with a mouth full of food as he chewed his rabbit meat skewer.
"First off, swallow your food before you speak to me! I may be a Dragon but that's still gross!" Aurora said with mild disgust in her tone. Seems even Dragons have food manners. "And yes, this is the place."
"Gulp... Right sorry my bad, so how do I use this thing anyway? I don't exactly see a key hole anywhere." Issei said curiously as he looked around for the place where he was supposed to put the key.
"Hold it out in front of you and turn it like you would with a normal lock."
Upon doing as instructed, the air around where Issei turned his key began to glow and give off a shimmering light, surprising the boy and making him stumble back a bit and fall on his ass.
"Whoa! So that's how it works? It's really like magic isn't it? And here I thought you couldn't use magic Aurora!" Issei teased as he looked down at his chest.
In front of the boy was a smooth stone-like gateway with a green portal sitting within it. Issei being sceptical about this got up off the ground and slowly made his way towards the portal.
"So, I'll just walk through this and I'll be in the dungeon?" Issei asked with some worry in his tone.
"Yep, just walk inside and you'll be able to fight monsters closer to your level, allowing you to grow stronger." Aurora said with a smile as Issei slowly pushed his hand through the portal and slowly stepped into it.
'Well at least I know that I can always retreat and leave the dungeon whenever I feel like I'm biting off more than I can chew.' Issei thought as he entered the cave and felt how warm the inside of the cave felt compared to the rest of the forest.

Suddenly rocks and dirt began to shift and move around behind Issei as the entrance was slowly yet surely closing.
"Wait wait WAIT!" The boy began bolting for the exit as the way out was being sealed shut. Upon reaching the exit however he face planted against the stoney wall, leaving a small indent of his face into the soft dirt holding the stone in place.
"Don't look at me, I may be what powers the system but I don't control everything. This thing is a pain in the ass to deal with sometimes." Aurora stated as an ulcer began forming on Issei's forehead as he growled.
"You could have warned me about the fact I couldn't leave until the dungeon was cleared Aurora!"
"Hey what did you think 'You will need provisions' meant?! If you were allowed to leave and enter the cave whenever you wanted that I wouldn't have said that! You're stuck in here until the boss is taken care of so I suggest getting off your cowardly ass and get to killing monsters!" Aurora snapped back, apparently not liking the attitude that Issei had given her at all.
'Yeesh, note to self, don't get snippy with the dragon lady.' Issei thought within his mind before feeling a bit of a headache coming due to the volume of Aurora's voice.
'You're Stars be damned right! Better learn how to talk to me boy!' Aurora sassed back as Issei sighed while holding his head.
"Fine fine just. let's get this over with, now that I know I can't leave this place just got a lot more threatening." Issei murmured to himself as he began to walk deeper into the cave that seems to have seen better days than he had first saw inside it.
After a few minutes of walking, Issei heard something coming from the darkness of the cave forcing the boy into activating his Night Vision skill l, what he saw surprised him as he summoned his Stone Fanged Dagger.
Before the boy were four leopard-like monsters, all of which were on the smaller side, each of which had one eye and a purple substance dripping from their fangs.

'Huh, these things have a pretty high level of mana in their pocket. That stuff dripping from their fangs doesn't look friendly either, I better be careful if I wanna live through this.' Issei thought to himself as he got into a fighting stance and groaned, realizing that he may have to save his Aura Body Reinforcement for the boss since... wait he could gain his aura back by leveling up, what was he thinking?
Upon the activation of his Reinforcement the Leopards charged at him two at a time, each one doing pincer attacks which forced Issei to draw the other dagger within his left hand and do a successful cross guard against the two leopards, their teeth knawing and grinding against the stony surface of the daggers.
"Crap, You can't chew on those!" Issei growled out as he noticed that there was another leopard jumping at him from his left side, forcing the boy to turn his body and slam the two bitting leopards into the airborne leopard, knocking the beast onto the ground and flinging one of the cats off of his dagger, allowing Issei to spin it within his hand so it's in a reverse grip and stabbed the remaining leopard in the back of the neck, severing it's spine from its skull and making the body go limp.
"Alright, one d- GAH!" Issei roared out as he looked behind him and saw the fourth leopard biting down on his leg, causing blood to leak down onto the felines fangs as they sunk into the boys leg.
"KID BE CAREFUL! THOSE FANGS ARE POISONOUS! THE LONGER THEY STAY IN YOU THE BIGGER CHANCE OF YOU GETTING A DEBUFF!" Aurora all but screamed out as her host was being ganged up on by cats of all things.
Sure enough once Issei got the cat to let go of his leg. (By stomping down on its throat and kicking it in the testicles repeatedly with his free leg.) Issei received a notification on his HUD.
Warning! A foreign substance has been detected within the Host's blood system. Attempting to remove, will take 1 minute.
You have been hit with the Minor Poison status effect. you will lose 10% of your HP per minute as well as have your senses muddied by 15%.
"Crap! Gotta keep those things off of ME!" Issei said before getting tackled to the ground from behind by the leopard that he had knocked to the ground. Issei tried to roll over as he was being pinned down only to get about half way before feeling his body getting cut up by the leopard's claws dropping his HP down even further than where it already was.
"Uuugh, get OFF!" Issei roared as he brought himself to his feet and flung the leopard off of himself before charging at it, intent on killing it now as he thrust his left dagger at it while slashing downward with his right, impaling it's left lung and cutting down the right side of its body, causing a major bleed effect to occur as Issei then kicked it in the throat with his good leg, finishing it off.
"Huff, Huff, now then." Issei then turned to the last two leopards, one of which seemed weary of him while the other was hacking up its lunch from being kicked in the balls so many times.
"Let's finish this. I need to get some rest done before I go forward." Issei said as he spun his daggers within his hands as he walked forward... or rather limped over to them before charging ahead to finish them off and rest a bit.
Suddenly however.
The poison has been successfully removed from the host's blood stream. Your senses have returned to normal.
Issei gave a manic toothy grin as he suddenly charged at the felines at a breakneck speed, running his daggers along the bodies of the leopards and causing major bleeding as he went in deep.
The first leopard hissed in pain as it struggled to stay standing while the other toppled over, not yet dead but still too in pain to fight.
As Issei jumped back a bit to gain some distance, he decided to put away the fresher stone dagger to save it for the boss as the standing wounded leopard. Issei looked at his HP and grimaced.
Issei Hyoudou

This frustrated Issei that he was beaten up this badly by such weak leveled monsters, granted these monsters were a higher level then him but it still ground his gears.
The last remaining leopard hissed in pain and anger as it went at Issei!
Slowly.
Hobbling on its right side, where the tendons weren't damaged...
...
'Ok this is kinda sad.' Issei thought to himself as he began hobbling over to the leopard that had finally collapsed onto its good side, exhausted and in pain.
"You did kinda cut through its tendons... and from the look of it its stomach too, maybe a mercy kill will be in order. Hmmm I know!" Aurora said before exclaiming excitedly before working with the system on something.
"Huh? Aurora what are you do-"
Opportunity for a Mercy Kill has been recognized.
"Oh? Ok what does Mercy Kills do for me?"

This confuses Issei as he has no idea as to why the system was warning him of this. Of course he knew that actions have consequences. Why would that say it to him now?

Mercy Kills:
The act of applying mercy upon your defeated enemy given the situation calls for it. This gives you a chance to gain a random unique item from the being that was mercifully slain, at the cost of less XP gained. (You will gain .5 XP instead of the normal amount.)
Issei winced at that debuff with his XP. Not exactly liking the idea of losing half of his XP for a fancy item until a new screen appeared with only one thing to say.

"So what if it was trying to kill me earlier, this thing doesn't deserve to suffer." Issei said as he drove his dagger into the heart of the beast, killing it instantly as its HP went to 0 and its eye glazed over upon its death.
Issei knelt there for a few moments, grasping the fact that he just had to do that. normally he had to kill in order to survive, but this time he chose to do it. it unnerved the boy a bit admittedly.
Suddenly, however.

Issei smiled at the fact that he had gotten a piece of armor finally, but decided to wait a bit so he could come to terms with what he had to do. His first conscious kill.
After waiting a few minutes to collect his bearings, and for his stamina to return to him he decided to Scan the Leg Bracers for any flavor text.
Leopard Leg Bracers
This pair of fur covered leg bracers are made from the fur and leather of a Cyclops Leopard. It is said that the fur is really soft and keeps heat rather well.
This piece of armor gives a minor poison resistance to the user, as well as 3 AGI and 2 DEF stat points.
Has an armour rating of 10

"Oh hey you got some clothes for once! good for you, now you have something to cover those pasty legs." Aurora commented which made Issei blush a bit in embarrassment.
"Hey my legs are not pasty! I just wear pants A lot is all, I don't have that much muscle to begin with and there's no sun down here in the forest so why show off?" Issei tried to defend himself the best he could while blushing as he twiddled his fingers together.
"Pfft haha kid I'm teasing you! Just put on the armor, you're going to need it for future encounters if this first one is anything to go by." Aurora said, making a good
point. If the monsters at the first encounter have poison attacks then it's safe to assume that the rest of the dungeon is going to follow a similar theme.
Issei whined at this as he defeatedly pressed the Y button, equipping the bracers and feeling his body feel surprisingly lighter. Huh.
"Man I really don't wanna have to deal with poison, it sucks to mess with!" Issei said as he felt his body recover and heal as he leveled up.
Congratulations! You have reached level 8.
Upon reaching Level 8, Issei slowly stood up as his body finished healing, and began to walk away from the dead enemies as he moved deeper into the dungeon.
"Now let's see just how much easier it is to fight these things now that I have a stat boosting armor piece." Issei said as he made a left turn in the cave which surprisingly had multiple branching sides only to freeze while suddenly covering his mouth.
Thanks to his Night Vision, he was about to see a group of enemies, ranging from about six to eight of them and his face paled when he saw the levels and what they were.
6x Spider Monkeys: LVL 13
Now in Issei's mind when he saw that name he was a bit confused. Why would regular spider monkeys be in the familiar forest? That was until he saw the lower half of the monkeys, they had spider legs and butts... oh, oh that's just wrong!"
'Ew! ew ew ew ew ew ew ew!' Issei screamed within his head over and over again as he was on the verge of turning around and running away from these abominations. Luckily, or rather unluckily for Issei, Aurora stopped him in his tracks.
'Kid if you don't get your raggedy wimpy ass in there and fight those things around I'm going to give you the biggest headache in existence! Don't think I don't know how to!' Aurora all but shouted within Issei's head, causing him to flinch as he clenched his head in minor pain from the sheer volume of the Dragoness within his soul.
'Ow! What do you expect me to do then?! I'm not the best at fighting multiple enemies at once and those things look like they don't fight fair at all, and whose is to say that they don't have poison attacks like those fucking leopards did! I'm still under leveled for those things in case you forgot! I'm not fighting Something with multiple limbs that is five levels higher than I am especially without a plan!' Issei roared out within his mind as he and Aurora began arguing, forgetting to pay attention to his surroundings for a moment before.
Crunch
"Eh?"
'Oh joy.'
Issei slowly turned his head around to see a spider monkey less than a yard away from him with its head tilted in curiosity, a bit of blood and meat dangling from its closed pincher like mouth as it did so.
"Looks like they came to you instead boyo. Have fuuuuuun!~"
"FUCK!"
Kreee!
The monstrous monkey screeched out in anger as it leaped at the boy who rolled out of the way in a blind panic before the monkey could throw a mean punch at him that when impacting with the ground caused a minor crack to form.
'Crap crap crap! I don't even have my daggers equipped! I need to gain some distance befo-'
Issei's train of thought was cut short as the Spider Monkey suddenly spat venom at the boy which hit him dead center. causing a good portion of health to be taken away from him as he tried his best to guard against it.
'Ew it's spitting on you! and it looks like this kind of venom is corrosive too. Shame that your leg bracers only resists against normal poison, not corrosion. Truly you'll have to think outside the box for this if you wanna survive' Aurora stated passively as Issei finally rolled out of the way and behind a large boulder that began slowly melting due to the acidic venom of the Spider Monkey.
"Fuck this hurts! It feels like it's eating away at my body! Ugh I need to find a way to beat this before I start to fall apart! Wait, why isn't the system fixing me right now?!" Issei all but roared in pain as he tried to figure out what to do when a robotic voice called out in his head, likely the system itself.
The System does not automatically remove external debuffs. Only low grade to moderate poison or low grade to moderate paralysis.
"Huh, ok I honestly forgot about that. lucky for you though the debuffs are timed so you have to outlast them or find a cure to the ailment." Aurora stated in curiosity before giving Issei advice on what to do as one of the other Spider Monkeys appeared in front of Issei in a pouncing motion, intent on landing on top of him as he summoned his daggers and barely managed to roll out of the way and slash at its back, causing it to scream out in agony as it reached behind itself towards the deep wound that goes across its spine, surprisingly not paralyzing the beast.
Screeeeeech!
The Spider Monkey made a loud screech that the others heard and made a bee line for the ongoing fight between Issei and the now six venomous monkeys, two of which holding what looks like clubs in their hands made of somewhat rotted roots from trees that worried the Cyber Star user as he back peddled out of range to get better breathing room against the beasts.
"Dammit! Now I gotta deal with all of them! This is such bullshit!" Issei growled out as he activated his Aura Body Reinforcement and thus readied himself for one hell of a battle that he is worried he may not win if he doesn't play smart.
"Ready for a fight kiddo?"
"No... But let's get it over with!"
Meanwhile within one of the Old Satan Faction bases!
"And that's your Field Report for the mission?"
Said a man wearing light Boar-hide armour with the lieutenant symbol on his chest from behind a wooden desk while looking at two of his subordinates. That being a familiar male/female pair of Devils who seem honestly a bit nervous before the suspicious gaze of the High-tier Middle Class Devil Officer before them.
"Y-yes sir. After confirming that the boy had the Sacred Gears mentioned in the mission briefing, and after briefly watching said human doing some training at one of the human martial art schools, we decided he was no where near enough to be a true cause for concern to take out ourselves even if he had a Longinus and a anomaly of a Gear." Xavier said with his head lightly bowed as he gave his report. His partner Jambalaya however, straightened her posture and declared proudly.
"Yep! My baby Imps were able to drag that poor fool into the underworld and most likely have eaten him down to his skeleton by now." Jambalaya said proudly about her imp familiars. The Lieutenant however, caught onto that fact and narrowed his eyes.
"So you have no genuine confirmation on the target being eliminated."
This causes Jambalaya to flinch a bit before looking to the side and scratching her cheek sheepishly. "Ehehe, I don't like watching my babies eat since they can be rather messy with their food."
Xavier scoffed before folding his arms and glancing over at the smaller devil. "So you admit that those vile creatures are disgusting then? It's about time you finally admitted it Jambalaya."
This causes an ulcer to appear on the pinkette's forehead as she reeled her heels over and stamped her foot down on the tiles floor in frustration before speaking. "Hey I don't talk about your pets and call them disgusting! Don't be rude Xavi-"
"ENOUGH!" The Lieutenant all but shouted before rubbing the bridge of his nose before glaring at the two low class devils before speaking once again.
"Look, high command found this particular target to be a top priority due to the potential threat the boy could possess since we have no idea which Longinus/Sacred Gear he may wield. What I DO know however is that we can't afford to simply half ass this mission and let pride or arrogance get in the way. So this is what we're going to do." The Lieutenant points at the male/female team of devils before responding.
"You two are going wherever those Imps drug him off to, you are going to find him! and you are going to finish the job and bring me the lifeless corpse of that walking time bomb before he gets the running start he needs to actually become a genuine problem for us!" The lieutenant growled out as he stood up and flared his power as high as he could possibly push it to make a point before giving a menacing grin.
While Jambalaya and Xavier were shaking in their skin and sweating bullets, the Lieutenant squints his eyes a bit before finally speaking once more.
"And to ensure that you two get the job done this time, NEITHER of you will be allowed to back on base, or allowed to see any family or loved ones until the job is done! Do I make myself perfectly clear?"
Xavier's eyes widen as he realizes he won't be able to see his wife if this isn't done soon, summoning a magic circle under him and his partner's feet, he bows his head by the waist and drags Jambalaya down with him before speaking.
"It will be done sir! Let's go Jambalaya!"
"Ow, ow hey let me go that hurts! Let go of me you whipped old fart!"
