A/N:
I'm back!
Part 3:
Seemed he was as he showed up a few days later to see the kids and Katara did nothing to stop him. He told her he was just taking them for an outing in the city and she trusted that he would bring them back in one piece. He did and had so for a few months already. The kids were at first confused as was she but Iroh told her it was probably because some part of him truly cared about having a family and after losing Ursa and his older children, he was trying to regain that family dynamic with them. Katara wasn't buying it and felt Ozai had lost his mind or something. However, after bringing the children back from an outing, Katara was about to shut the door as she never really spoke to Ozai during the exchanges but he stopped the door with his foot. She glanced down at his boot blocking the door and looked up to see what was going on.
"I got you a gift." He stated.
Katara opened the door slightly and saw him hand her a small box. "It's fine. I don't require anything of you." She tried turning him down as politely as possible.
However, he pushed the door open further and opened the box, revealing it was a ruby hair pin. Before she could say anything, he took it out of the box and placed it in the bun of her hair. Katara didn't look up to meet his gaze as he stood their for a moment, assessing his handy work before he left. As soon as she closed the door, Katara removed the ruby hairpin from her hair and stared at it. She walked over to her vanity and tossed the hairpin as she didn't want any gift from him.
The following day, when Ozai came to get the kids after his morning meetings, Katara was sitting on the sofa reading a book as he approached her. She didn't notice him until he pulled the book down from her face. Her blue eyes lifted to his gold ones and she seemed a bit confused as to what he wanted.
"Did you want to come with us today?" Ozai asked her.
Katara glanced at the kids and then him before shaking her head.
"Are you sure?"
"Very." Katara pulled the book back up to her face to continue reading.
When he left with the kids, Katara decided to go see her brother-in-law and tell him about the gift as well as being asked to tag along.
Chuckling, "Looks like I was right." Iroh said as he sipped his tea.
"I'm not interested in being a family with him." Katara scoffed. "He ruined my life and rejected me. Now, he suffers the same and thinks he can just show up to take us back. He didn't want me or my children. We meant nothing to him."
Iroh agreed that his brother couldn't simply expect her to be warm to him as was progressively trying to encroach on her and the children. However, he did encourage his sister-in-law to give him to opportunity to make up for his wrong-doing. He felt like this could be a good thing for her. If his brother's intentions were to have her and their children like he had Ursa and his oldest children, then it would be good for the Water Princess. Despite a few hiccups, Ozai was good to them and took great care of them before his debacle.
Scoffing as she sipped her tea, "I'm not interested in that."
"Who knows? You might change your mind."
That same night at dinner, Katara listened to her children once again talk about what they did with their father and how happy they were to be able spend time with him like they had been doing so for a few months now. Eventually, the two ask their mother if she would come with them tomorrow since their father planned to take them on a picnic on the outskirts of town to get a good view of the ocean. Katara wanted to decline but the children begged her, so she caved and agreed to go.
The following day, Katara had gotten the children dressed appropriately for a picnic and even herself. But she was only going if asked. Ozai came at the same time he always did and asked her just as she had expected. Sighing as she put her book down, the Water Princess nodded her head and the kids were happy that she followed through with deciding to come along.
Awkwardly, Katara had to sit beside her estranged husband in the carriage while their children played with a toy their father bought them. She made sure to hug the corner of the carriage as she didn't want to be touching him. Being forced to tag along kind of made her a little more annoyed than she already was when she realized his intentions. It made her uncomfortable. When they reached the area they'd have their picnic, Katara climbed out after her children and saw it was a cliffside with lush green grass and an apple tree. The servants set up the area for the private picnic and when they were done, the children ran over to eat as their parents followed behind.
After the kids ate and went to chase each other around the apple tree, the estranged couple remained seated on the quilt that had been laid out for them. Katara took interest in the view as they sat in silence. She didn't bother acknowledging that her husband was staring at her, looking for the opportunity to say something. She just wanted him to sit there and say nothing at all to her. There was nothing to say. He had been cold and hostile towards her in her coming to this country. Not like she wanted to come here in the first place. Once it was clear that she was not going to let up the silence, Ozai decided he'd speak up.
"I want you and the children to move back to my domain." Ozai told her. "I think we could make this work."
Katara refused to look his way, "I think things are fine as they are."
Ozai sighed, "I know we haven't gotten along since you arrived here but-"
"Correction, we haven't got along since we met." Katara finally turned to look at him. "There was never any romance between us, Ozai. I see that now and I've accepted that. Moving forward, you can see the children and be a father to them if you wish but I want nothing more to do with you."
"I'm willing to do what it takes to convince you otherwise." He told her.
Katara sucked her teeth, "If you're only reason for wanting us to move to the domain is so you can have the family you lost due to your callousness then I will never be convinced."
Ozai furrowed his brows, "I could just demand my brother return you to me. No man in this nation is above the law of marriage. Not even the Fire Lord, he can't keep you from me."
"Then do it, Ozai. Demanded I be returned to you." Katara said as she wasn't about to sit here and argue with this man.
Ozai softened his expression as he looked away from her to the children, "I won't do it. Not if you'll just run away like Ursa. I rather you agree to it than force you. So I'll just convince you that it would be a good decision."
"What if Ursa returns?" Katara asked him.
"I doubt it."
"But what if she does? Will I be cast aside again?"
Ozai shook his head and admitted that he and his wife were not lovers. They were friends that cared about one another in a contractual way. He wasn't even really attracted to her despite her being amongst the most beautiful of highborn women. However, when he went to the South Pole and saw Katara, he was immediately attracted to her. He fessed up that he had intentions from the very beginning to seduce her into an affair.
"It could work. I will not be how I have been to you thus far. I assure you, I mean well." Ozai expressed. "I wouldn't have tried to see the kids as much as I have in these last seven months if I didn't want you all to be my family as you should have already been."
Katara sighed, "Then apologize."
"Apologize?"
"Apologize for everything you put me through. Do that and I'll let Iroh know we'll be moving in with you again." Katara told him.
So, Ozai apologized and did so sincerely. As much as Katara didn't actually want to move back in with him, she kept her word and shortly after they returned, she let Iroh know her decision. He tried seeing if she was sure but Katara never went back on her word and she gave her word she'd move back in if he apologized. So Iroh saw to it that the domain was fixed up and staffed with servants to maintain it. It took a few days to arrange everything in preparation but when it was final, Iroh escorted his sister-in-law to his brother's domain.
"If anything goes wrong, you can let me know." Iroh told her. "I will always make sure you are alright."
"Thank you, Iroh." Katara said as she felt she shouldn't have let herself be so easily swayed into returning, now she had made it too easy for him. Hopefully, he didn't expect her to act 'wifely' towards him in the evening. She was not even close to wanting to do anything like that with him.
Arriving to the domain, Katara watched her children run towards their father and receive a warm embrace as he told them to go pick out their rooms. When they had sped off with the servants following them, the Water Princess watched her husband's gaze look up to her and it was the warmest expression she had ever received from him in the entirety of her knowing him.
"I appreciate you deciding to return." Ozai said as he greeted her.
Impassively, Katara stared at him and barely responded with a 'sure' before entering the chambers.
Ozai sighed as his brother looked at him.
"You'll have to give her time, Ozai. You were more than cruel to her." Iroh told him.
Rubbing his temple, "I know that."
"Then if you want this to work, you'll have to put a lot into making it up to her." Iroh let him know before leaving.
Catching up to his wife, Ozai quickly went over things and let her know she was free to do as she pleased as well as make any changes since she was now his only wife. Her allowance would be hefty and she would be given expenses to make any renovations she saw necessary. In addition, she would be attending all public events with him and was now considered 1st wife instead of 2nd.
"So what chambers am I allowed to pick from?" Katara asked him as they paused halfway through the domain.
Ozai averted his eyes, "Traditionally speaking, husband and wife share the same chambers. Ursa and I shared chambers. That's just how it is."
The Water Princess narrowed her eyes on him, "I'm not sharing chambers with you."
"I already had most of your things moved there." Ozai told her. "If you're worried about the issue of 'relations', I don't have any intentions of that happening until you tell me that you want that. I won't come onto you. You're safe."
Katara studied his face as she didn't trust this man as far as she could throw him. The Fire Prince was a forty-something years old man that took her virginity while having a wife and children waiting back home for him. He took pleasure in making her uncomfortable and venting his anger at her. Sure, he was being uncharacteristically nice to her but she was not sold on him. She saw his true colors very early on and there was very little he could to make her see him as anything other than what she had already seen of him.
"Fine but if you touch me in any kind of way, we're going to have a problem." Katara let him know.
After having dinner together for the first time as a family, Katara kissed her children goodnight before turning to see her husband was waiting on her. She eyed him funny for this but he seemed to want them to retire together. Clearly, he and Ursa had a routine but she wanted no parts of whatever he and his former wife had. That was them. Inside their chambers, Ozai allowed her to bathe and get dressed for bed. When she came out the bathroom in a short blue nightgown with her hair down, he took that as his cue to get ready for bed. Fifteen minutes later, he returned to see his wife climbing into bed after she had finished combing out her hair.
Sitting on the edge of the bed as his wife settled herself on her side, Ozai pulled off his tunic before moving to climb in, but noticed his wife eyeing him suspiciously. "Is something wrong?" He asked her.
"Why are you shirtless?"
"Because I'm going to bed." Ozai replied.
"Could you keep your shirt on?"
"Why?"
"Because it makes me uncomfortable with you being shirtless."
Ozai wanted to tell her to just turn her head if it bothered her so much seeing as they already had two kids together, so she was already well aware of what he looked like naked. However, he thought against this and put his tunic back on. He didn't want to upset her and his brother was right that he'd have to work hard in order to get things on the right track with her. Sliding into bed once his tunic was on, Ozai settled in against his pillows and shut his eyes. Hopefully, he wouldn't have to sleep in a tunic every night.
Morning came and Katara woke earlier than normal. When she opened her eyes and stretched, she glanced over to where her husband was still sleeping. However, he was drenched in sweat. Her brows furrowed at this as she quickly moved over to him and bended the sweat on his skin to cool his body temperature. She watched him stir a little before opening his eyes to her.
"What's going on?" Ozai grumbled tiredly.
Moving away as he sat up, "You were sweating."
"It's the tunic." Ozai said as he climbed out of bed and pulled it off. "My internal temperature is already higher than the average person due to my firebending. The tunic just made it worse but it's fine. I'll deal with it."
Katara sighed, "Then I guess you don't have to wear it. I'll just get a few pillows to divide the bed."
Ozai rubbed the sweat off of his face and brushed back his damp hair, "I have meetings all day today but I figure we could catch a play this evening after dinner."
"If that's what you want." Katara replied as she slipped herself out of bed.
"Yes but is that what you want?"
"The children will be happy. That's all that matters." She replied as she went into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.
Iroh scolded his brother for being late to the meeting. Ozai tried explaining at the end of the meeting that Katara took extremely long in the bathroom and refused to let him in until she was done. His brother sighed and told him he would need to get up before her if that was the case. After a long day of nonstop meetings and desk work, Ozai returned to his domain to see his children were already waiting for him alongside their mother. He wanted to say he was pleased but he was incredibly exhausted and wanted to cancel tonight's plan. The only reason he didn't is because the kids looked all too excited about going to see a play.
Decidedly having dinner out at a restaurant in the city, Ozai sat beside his wife as their children told them about their day with their tutors and how they had been thrilled for tonight. He nodded his head and acknowledged everything they said. When they got to the theater and entered their box seats, Ozai saw his children's eyes light up as they took their seats. It wasn't long before Ozai dozed off and was lightly snoring off to the side. His wife noticed right away but the children were too enthralled by the play. By the end of it, Ozai was woken up by his wife and they headed home listening to the children go on about the play.
Once home, Katara tucked the kids in and returned to her chambers where her husband was already asleep. She sighed before undressing and placing on her nightgown. In the morning, she woke to see her husband was not in bed and figured he had already left for the day. She removed her nightgown before going to the bathroom. Inside, she realized right away that her husband hadn't left but had just stepped out of the showering system, his towel not even around his waist yet. The two had a stand off where they were just caught off guard a little. It had been a while since they had seen one another completely naked as they kept their clothes on for the few quick encounters they had in order to have their son. They hadn't actually seen one another naked since the year Ursa left to visit her parents and was away for a time. Katara covered her breasts with one arm and then cupped her sex as Ozai wrapped his towel around his waist. Both averted their gaze and wordlessly moved about the bathroom. Katara pulled the curtain of the shower area in order to obscure herself while Ozai continued his grooming by the sink.
When Katara stepped out of the shower, grabbing a towel to cover herself with, she saw her husband was shaving the stubble long his face, making sure not to ruin his beard. She went to the sink on the right side of him and picked up her tooth brush. The two continued to say nothing to each other. It was better to not even acknowledge the other as they got ready for the day.
…
"How's marriage treating you, brother?" Iroh asked as he visited Ozai in his office.
Flipping through the paperwork, "It is fine."
"Fine?" Iroh raised a brow. "Katara moved in with you four months ago and it's only fine?"
Ozai sighed as he put down his quill to look at his brother with an annoyed look, "She's agreeable, a great mother, dutiful to her work with the palace physicians, and is extremely kind to all the staff in the domain. I feel as though I never really knew her before now. She's not who I thought she was."
Smiling as he was pleased to hear his brother say this, Iroh asked his brother if things were going smoothly with the two of them as husband and wife. It was then that the Fire Lord realized his brother and sister-in-law were not intimate with one another despite their past and the two kids they had. Apparently, it was agreed that sex was not necessary between them. But Ozai pointed out he had caught her on several occasions trying to relieve the stirring heat between her legs. Sometimes she do so in the shower and bath. Sometimes it was in bed late at night when she thought he was asleep and she had the cover of the pillows she kept between them. There had been one time he actively watched her toy with herself when she thought he'd be in his office late. Ozai described that she used her bending to pleasure herself, creating an ice figure that resembled the male part. Of course, he was not unaffected by the lack of sex they had or having caught her taking care of her 'needs'. He explained how frustrating it was that she didn't even want him to see her undressed let alone have sex with her.
"Have you tried making advances on her?" Iroh asked in concern.
Nodding his head, Ozai explained that he is not allowed to touch her in anyway. He tried showing some affection by kissing her cheek and she slapped him. He held his arms open to hug her after hugging the kids and she walked around him. Katara was a kind and compassionate, selfless woman, among other amazing things but she did not like him. Ozai didn't fault her. She had done nothing to him or anyone to deserve what he did to her. She could not muster herself to be anything but cordial with him. Show just enough respect to not come off rude or disrespectful. But that was it.
"I put in work. Lots of it to make things work. To make her see I mean well." Ozai groaned as he rubbed his brow up and down in frustration. "But these things only work when the other person is trying to make it work too. She has no interest in me outside of what I am currently doing."
Iroh let his brother know that he'd go speak with Katara and see what her issue was in regards to their personal relationship.
Visiting the Water Princess down at the infirmary part of the palace, Iroh spotted her bandaging up a patient and decided to observe her from afar to see how her mood was. After bandaging her patient, Katara was greeted by Physician Sho and she beamed at him brightly. Iroh watched the two interact with one another in a rather close way. There was very little physical distance between the two of them despite there gender and marital statuses. Sure, it looked harmless but it was little odd to Iroh. He was about to dismiss the interaction until he watched Katara stand up on her tippy toes and kiss the man on the cheek. Iroh was stunned. Even more stunned when the physician looked around to see if they were being watched before he grabbed her face and kissed her lips. The two were passionate in their kiss and it was very obvious to Iroh that this was not the first that had shared such a kiss.
Breaking apart, the physician pulled her from him and shoved her away. Iroh raised a brow of confusion until he listened in a little more to hear their exchange.
"We can't, Katara." Sho told her. "You're married to the Fire Prince."
Katara sighed, "I know that but it was forced. I don't love him."
"Yes but you're his wife. Regardless of how you feel about one another is of little consequence. It was one thing when you and his highness were estranged and living apart. But now, you've returned to his domain and-"
"I don't sleep with him." Katara said. "I'm only a wife in name."
"Doesn't matter." Sho explained to her. "This can't go on."
"But Sho-"
Kissing her forehead, "I'll find you another palace physician to work with. That way, this doesn't turn into more and we won't be punished."
"Sho-"
"I'm sorry, Katara, but I can't do this."
As the physician left without saying another word, Iroh watched Katara sulk against the wall and cast her gaze downward. He felt like now was a good time to speak with her. Entering the medical room, the Fire Lord greeted his sister-in-law with a warm smile and placed his hands on her shoulder, inviting her to have tea with him. She put on a good act of being in a good mood before accepting and following him back to his private courtyard. There, the servants served the tea that Iroh complained was bitter before adding several sugar cubes.
"How are things with you and my brother?" Iroh asked.
Katara drank her tea and set it down before speaking, "It's as good as it'll get. I mean he's nothing like he was before and seems to genuinely care about the kids. I can't make any complaints."
"Is that all?" Iroh asked.
Katara nodded.
Sipping his tea, "Are you two having any issues in the bed room?"
Blushing, Katara turned her head from him and shook her head.
"Are you being honest, Katara?"
She nodded her head.
Chuckling, "I've already spoke with my brother and he says he was wrong about you all along. You have shown him who you really are and he laments not having known the real you. My brother thinks very high of you but he has told me that you are not interested in having any sort of relationship with him outside of formalities."
Furrowing her brows, "So he wants to have sex with me?"
"Katara, that is a normal thing that happens between man and wife. You two have already had relations before. It shouldn't be as outlandish of an idea to you as it is."
Yes but when she first had sex with him, it was solely transactional despite her developing feelings for him by mistake. The second period of time was her trying to appease him while Ursa was gone and it made her see that he never really cared about her outside of her body. Then the final set of times she had sex with him was out of necessity to become pregnant with a son, which neither of them undressed or even faced each other. It was purely animalistic in the fact that he took her from behind, thrusted a couple of times, came, and left. However, after all the cruelty she endured and the senselessness of it all, she was supposed to have sex with her hateful husband because HE had the desire to have her. Well, if he was horny, couldn't he go fuck the women at the brothel? Or have an affair? Why was she his only option?
Expressing this all to her brother-in-law, Katara watched his expression shift into disappointment and she didn't care. "I won't sleep with him."
"Is this because you hate him or because you're having an affair with Physician Sho?"
Katara's eyes widened.
Sighing, "I saw and heard your conversation today." Iroh told her. "What is going on between the two of you?"
Katara furrowed her brows and looked away.
"You can tell me, Katara. I won't punish either of you. From what I heard, you two began during your time estranged from my brother."
Shutting her eyes in shame, "Sho and I…we…-I've been seeing him shortly after Ozai and I went our separate ways." Katara hung her head. "Sho was kind to me from the very moment I met him and I took to his kindness. Eventually, I noticed he was staring at me and I jokingly told him not to look so hard because I was married. He confessed then that he wished I wasn't because he would be far kinder to me than Ozai had been. I threw myself at him and we lost ourselves in the moment." From that point forward, they were more careful about how they engaged with one another. "But now, he wants it to end because Ozai and I are 'supposedly' together."
Iroh sighed and explained to Katara that this was for the best. He would make sure Physician Sho stayed safe but he would have to inform his brother of this. Katara begged him not to as she didn't want to incite Ozai's anger again but Iroh let her know if things escalated, he would remove her and the children again.
"She what?" Ozai was a little confused as his brother explained that his wife had been involved with the palace Physician she worked with.
Iroh sighed and nodded, "Physician Sho ended things with her before I spoke with her and he's reassigning her to another physician."
Ozai was a bit stuck on the fact that his wife was cheating on him. He was currently in shock but slowly it started to register.
"I ask that you approach this topic carefully with her. This did start before you brought her back here to live with you. She was alone and-"
"I'm going to go talk to her. We're going to sort this out." Ozai hissed as he placed his hand over his face as everything started settling in. "I'll see you in the morning, Iroh."
Iroh tried stopping his brother but he refused to obey him to stop.
Reaching his domain, Ozai found his wife sitting idly in the sitting room staring blankly at the glass of wine had barely drank. "Katara."
"Yes." She answered as she stared at the cup.
"You and Physician Sho, huh?" Ozai said as he walked up to the low table. "Is that what you do when you're working in the infirmary?"
Katara sighed as she shut her eyes, "Not always but sometimes…when I stayed late, we would-"
"I don't want to know the details. I know enough." Ozai said sternly. "I can overlook it as it took place during a time that I didn't acknowledge you as my wife but moving forward that can never happen again, Katara. Never."
Katara nodded her head.
Sighing as he rustled his hair, "Okay, as long as you understand, there's no reason to keep having this discussion."
After dinner with their children, the couple retired to their bedroom for sleep and went about their usual routine. Katara laid on her side of the bed and stared up at the ceiling as her husband bended the flame out of all the candles. She sulked a little more as she lied in bed and tried to think about the next few years of her life. Just thinking about it made her feel more miserable, more empty. But as she fell deeper and deeper into an existential crisis, Katara noticed Ozai hadn't come to bed. Great, sleep somewhere else.
"Physician Sho," Ozai said as he waltzed up to the palace physician in the hallway late at night.
"Your highness." The physician bowed.
Ozai wore an impassive expression, "It has been brought to my attention that you and my wife have been…involved with one another."
Sho swallowed hard and averted his eyes, "It was only during the time you both were apart. She has tried to make those same advances afterwards but I reminded her that she has been returned as your wife."
"I'm sure you did but understand that if anything happens between the two of you again, my face will be the last one you see. Understood?"
Sho nodded.
"Good. Glad we could reach an understanding." Ozai grinned wickedly at him.
In the morning, Katara was in the middle of getting ready for her day at the medical ward when Ozai approached her in the bathroom and looked her over. She didn't bother looking at him as he stood there staring at her. Tui and La, he annoyed her. What did he want?
"My brother says you working at the medical ward in the palace is no good now that it is discovered you had an affair. You've been dismissed from your duties there." Ozai told her.
Katara whipped around to face him with a disheartened look, "What?!"
Ozai gestured for her to calm down, "But worry not. I looked around the capital for a medical center you can work at. Found a pretty nice one in the city that has plenty of orphans and poor families go to. I know you to be charitable so I figured it be the best place for you to work."
Calming down a little, Katara eyed him with an unsure expression. "Thank you, Ozai."
"No need. I just don't want to see my wife moping about with nothing to do but look pretty. I know how much you hate that." Ozai said in a lighthearted fashion.
Katara nodded as she dropped her gaze to the floor before turning back around to fix herself up. Her husband went on to tell her that he'd escort her there today so he could get a look at the place himself and know that she'd be safe. He explained that he only cared that she was safe and happy.
As they rode in the carriage to the medical center, Ozai noticed his wife was eyeing him funny as he stared out the window. He decided he'd pretend to not notice as he'd let her make all the first moves. Maybe things would be different if he let her initiate all their future encounters until they were in at a place that made things comfortable for him to make the advances. When they arrived at the medical center, Ozai was thanked again for allowing this and for being understanding of her affair.
"It is fine, princess." He told her. "You are my wife. I'm sorry I didn't treat you more like it sooner."
Katara bowed her head in a bit of guilt as she held the skirt of her dress in hand, "All that matters is what you do in the present, Ozai. The past is of little consequence. We have our children and we are working on a better marriage, that's all that matters."
Ozai nodded as the carriage door was opened and he stepped out to help his wife out. As she was helped out of the carriage, the Fire Prince watched his wife be led with the guards he assigned to her an gave a pleasant smile. When she disappeared into the building, Ozai was about to head back to the palace when he noticed a messenger boy approach him with a summons from his brother.
Arriving at his brother's side, "You wanted to see me."
Iroh nodded as he was busy looking at the tea leaves he was cultivating, "Yes, I wanted you to know that in two hours the Southern Chieftain will arrive."
"What?!"
Nodding his head, "Yes, he doesn't want his daughter to know of his presence until after he is here."
"Why not?" Ozai raised a brow.
Iroh sighed, "I do not know, brother, but I expect you to be behaved. Understood?"
Ozai nodded.
"Go on and change into your formal wear, then meet me in the throne room.
~Two hours later~
"That is enough, Kya!" Hakoda hissed at his wife as she held to his arm while they were being escorted with their entourage to the Fire Nation throne room. "I've told you a thousand times, Katara is no longer our daughter!"
Kya looked somberly at her husband, "You might not claim her any longer, Hakoda. But that child came from my womb, she will always be my daughter." She spoke quietly.
Hakoda sucked his teeth as they reached the throne room and the grand door were opened to them. As he entered the lavish throne room he had been in once before, the Chieftain looked to the throne to see the new seated Fire Lord and below to his right, the bastard prince that ruined his family. He focused in harshly and scowled in the man's direction. Impassive gold eyes stared back at him. Clearly, after all this time, there was no remorse in the man for what he had done.
"Southern Chieftain Hakoda!" Iroh said joyously as he sat at his throne. "I am pleased to be meeting with you on more civil terms now. Welcome."
Hakoda shifted his scowl from the Fire Prince to the Fire Lord, "Thank you for the warm welcome. I do hope you don't mind keeping Katara uninformed of my arrival here until I make it known that I want to see her."
Iroh was about to agree to this when Ozai spoke up and asked why when his daughter would want to see him as it had been many years since she had last seen him. Hakoda scowled back at the Fire Prince as his wife tried to reel him in.
"Katara is no longer my daughter. She hasn't been since you sullied her." Hakoda hissed.
Ozai stared at Katara's father indifferently, "If a bond between a father and daughter can be so easily then there was really no bond there at all. My eldest daughter no longer speaks to and claims she disgusted by me but I love her no less than the day I held her in my arms. Here, I thought I could dislike you no more than I already do but you have proven me wrong."
"Brother!" Iroh shouted.
Bowing to his brother and Ozai dismissed himself, leaving the throne room with not a care for the scowls that were steady on him. When he arrived to his domain, he informed the servants to have a carriage prepared for him as he was going to stop by the medical center where his wife was to bring her lunch.

Katara was a bit surprised to see her husband entered the medical center with a bento box in hand. She finished up with her child patient and looked to him in curiosity as she approached him. He gave her a small smile like he did nowadays and held the bento out to her.
"Figured you needed to replenish yourself to continue your good work here." Ozai told her as she took the bento from him.
"Thank you, Ozai." She forced a smile back. "Did you want to eat this with me?"
Surprised by her offer, Ozai nodded as he grinned wider and she showed him the courtyard for them to eat. As they sat and ate in silence, Ozai figured he should tell her that her parents were here regardless of them requesting he didn't. He would not respect her pathetic father's wishes and so, he told her. She practically dropped her chopsticks and stared wide eye at him.
"They're what?!" Katara looked at him in disbelief.
Ozai sighed, "Your father asked that we not inform you of his presence here until he was ready to see you. Iroh was about to take the diplomatic approach when I asked your father why. He didn't have a good enough reason and deflected, so I'm letting you know what he did not want you to know. He and your mother are here in the capital. They'll be staying in the inner sanctum with my brother as his guests."
Katara's teary gaze dropped, "So…he doesn't want to see me?"
"I honestly don't know." Ozai told her honestly. "It's not exactly clear why he is here but I know it has to do with you."
Sniffling as she looked back up at him, "Thank you for telling me, Ozai. I appreciate it."
Ozai only nodded as she stood and thanked him once more for having lunch with her. He rose to his feet and saw her off as she left to return to her good work. The Fire Prince returned to his domain and was greeted by his very upset brother that he was unphased by.
"Ozai! You were out of line!" Iroh hissed at him as he stormed up to him.
Ozai rolled his eyes, "Oh, trust me, you should have seen me in the South Pole all those years ago. I was plenty out of line then. Katara didn't get banished for nothing." He scoffed.
Iroh balled his fists, "You will be cordial to our guests, Ozai, or I will have you locked in a holding cell for the duration of their stay."
Balling his face up at the threat, "You're fond of my wife, aren't you? You two have been buddy buddy during my time apart from her. Surely, hearing that asshat denounce his daughter doesn't sit well with you."
Iroh scowled at his younger brother, "The only thing that doesn't sit right with me is that you were the cause of her denouncement! You are at fault for this, Ozai! This is your doing! Now, heed my words or I will deal with you accordingly!"
Sucking his teeth, "Whatever, Iroh."
Later that day, Ozai went to pick his wife up from the medical center and saw her look surprised that he was as she climbed into the carriage. He greeted her as she sat across from him and asked her if she was satisfied with this place or wanted him to look elsewhere for her to work as a healer.
"No, it's good." Katara told him. "I like it there. So many unfortunate children in need and I have the ability to help them some. I want to remain here."
Ozai nodded, "Very well. I'm sure you'll do well to not give me a reason to send you elsewhere, with all those children in need and all."
Understanding the point he was trying to make, Katara sighed and looked down to her hands. "I'm sorry, Ozai. I know…my affair with Physician Sho upset you but…-"
"It's fine, Katara. I'm not going to hold to something that took place in a time that we were apart. I understand I made your life hell and I'm hoping to make up for that. I hope you'll allow me to be a better husband but ultimately, I leave it to you to decide that." Ozai told her. "If you decide against it, I'll allow you to leave my domain and return to your life before I re-entered it."
Katara shook his head, "I don't want that."
Honestly, pleased to hear this. "Then neither do I."
…
Kya watched from behind a pillar as her daughter was leaving out of the palace with her husband for yet another day at the medical center where she worked. For the last week, she had been watching her daughter from afar, wanting nothing more than to speak to her and tell her she loved her. It was hard seeing her married with two young children that she had not been able to meet. Kya figured she'd disregard her husband's disdain towards their daughter and seek her out.
"Chieftainess Kya." The Fire Lord called to her and the tribeswoman stiffened as she turned around to greet the monarch.
Forcing a smile, "Fire Lord Iroh." Kya greeted him in return.
Grinning at the chieftainess, "I've noticed you've been spying on your daughter. Any reason why you don't just approach her?"
Kya sighed as her shoulders fell, "My husband is a harsh man. I love him, I do, but he doesn't understand that our daughter while wrong for her actions, meant well. Katara has always been charitable and compassionate. It is why our people have admired her throughout the years and mourned her so heavily when we told them she had passed from illness. There was much she did on behalf of our people and I think how my husband handled her being sullied was…wrong."
"Then how should he have handled things?" Iroh asked curiously.
"Well, for starters, your brother should have been held far more accountable than he was. He's literally twenty plus years her senior. That and he coaxed her into this, threatening to incite war between our nations. My daughter thought she was saving us. She entered into an affair with him for the sake of our people." Kya explained. "He then should have made it public that my daughter would be married to Fire Prince Ozai as a part of the peace treaty to cover up what happened rather than tell everyone she had died."
Iroh nodded in agreement to this suggestion. "I will speak to your husband and try to talk some sense into him. Of course, that will require me putting my brother in a bad spot but trust me when I say, he deserves it."
"I've heard the stories from the servants around here about how he has treated my daughter in her time here."
"Yes," Iroh sighed to himself. "My brother was rather cruel to her up until this past year. I have done everything in my power to protect her since becoming Fire Lord as my father found it too amusing to really do anything about it but as I said, in this past year things have been different and the two are trying to work things out. I do hope your presence here will provide some aid to them in fixing their marriage."
Kya nodded her head as she wanted to help her daughter in whatever way she could.
Later in the day, Kya spotted her son-in-law leaving a meeting and decided to approach him while she could. When she did, she saw his gold eyes land on her and observe her in curiosity as the two of them never had any direct contact with one another before but it was clear that he recognized her.
Bowing his head slightly, "Chieftainess Kya." Ozai greeted her.
Holding her hands to her middle as she looked the man over with kneaded brows, "Fire Prince Ozai, I wanted to have a word with you." She tried saying in a light manner but made it obvious to the observant man that she was unsure how to address him as there were conflicting feelings present between them despite being complete and utter strangers.
Stepping to the side and showing her the way to his office to speak, Ozai shut the door behind them as the woman had a look around before finding her way to his desk where he took a seat behind it.
"What can I do for you, your grace?" Ozai asked her.
Kya looked him sternly in the eyes as she sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk, "Let me be frank, your highness, I hate your guts with a passion you will never know and if I didn't fear for my nation and my daughter, I'd have stabbed you in the gut as soon as I saw your devilish gold eyes." She said all too steadily and calmly. "However, I am bound by my husband and my nation and even more, my grandchildren, to keep the peace. So I shall."
Ozai's lip twitched with a smirk as he reached into his desk drawer and pulled out his pipe. As he stuffed and lit it, the Fire Prince eyed the woman up and down before smoking it. "Are all tribeswomen so fierce or is it just a trait of your line?"
Kya furrowed her brows at him, "This is not the time to discuss such a trivial thing, your highness. I want to see my daughter and that is why I am approaching you."
"And what do I have to do with that?" Ozai tilted his head as he blew out smoke. "I'm not the one that denounced her and refuses to see her. Perhaps, speak to your husband about that."
Averting her eyes from him, "Is it not bad enough us women can do nothing in the face of you men, let alone cruel men that decide our futures for us? You seduced my daughter and have been cruel to her as she has been your wife and her father banished her like a traitor, denouncing her like a daughter that was merely a common whore. You both are savage barbaric men. I am merely a mother wanting to see the child I brought into this world and know that she is alright. But you must force the issue, I cannot stand up to my husband and his stubbornness but I believe you can challenge him."
Ozai sucked his teeth, "Like I'm going to risk getting into trouble with my brother for your sake. He's made it explicitly clear that he will punish me if I am not behaved."
"Then accept your punishment for my daughter's sake if not mine." Kya pleaded. "I've seen you with her. You might have been a cruel man towards her in the past but I don't believe you have maintained that. You care about her."
Ozai's expression flattened as he eyed the woman, "You know nothing."
"I know you want my daughter to see you differently. You regret your treatment of her and you want to atone. Do this and I promise to help you in that endeavor."
The Fire Prince continued to eye the woman before he sighed and looked away. He told the Chieftainess to calm her nerves as he would figure something out. His brother was ultimately not a cruel man so whatever punishment he received, he'd endure it. However, made it clear that he didn't care about Katara coming around to him, he knew that would come in time. His only care was that he took her from her family and he was remorseful, wanting her to regain them as he knew it would make her happy. That's why he was agreeing to this. Because he ruined her life and he wanted to fix that.
Later that day after finishing his work, Ozai spotted the Chieftain in the halls and decided now was time to confront the man. He had planned it to be quick and simple. Nothing that would get him in serious trouble with his brother, especially if it worked but enough to stir the shitpot for the helpless Chieftainess. She was fortunate that he could see Katara took after her. He felt guilty just looking at the woman. However, his plans backfired a little.
Tussling on the ground with the Chieftain as palace and tribal guards all tried to break it up, Ozai barked with laughter as Hakoda shouted that he would kill him. Agni, he should have known that would have gotten to the Chieftain but he couldn't help it. He was a man on a mission.
"You monster!" Hakoda screamed as he beat the Fire Prince. "I will kill you!"
Ozai barked with laughter, "You should have seen her face! She looked so distraught when I told her! How right you proved me, Chieftain! I know a cold bastard when I see one because I am one!"
The guards managed to finally separate them as the Fire Lord showed up. The Fire Prince was ordered to be sent to the dungeons while the Chieftain was escorted to his chambers. Iroh could not believe this. He knew how much Ozai and the Southern Chieftain hated each other from the reports but he never thought they'd get physical like this. It was ridiculous.
Katara was surprised when the carriage came for her and Ozai wasn't in it. He always picked her up at the end of the day. Even if he had to interrupt his day of work. Something was wrong. She could feel it and it worried her. As she reached the palace, she hurried to the domain to see if he was there but there was no sign of him anywhere. Next, she went to his office but he wasn't there either. She looked in the archives and all to lounge areas she knew he'd hang out at with his friends when he had the time. However, she couldn't find him. It worried her. So, she went to see Iroh. His guards let her enter as she had been known to have an actual friendship with him.
Entering the Fire Lord's chambers, Katara found Iroh on his balcony chatting with who she saw were her parents. She paused in shock as she stared silently, unsure if she should make her presence known or leave. As much as she wanted to greet her parents, embrace them tight and never let go. It had been over seven years with not a word from them. She had written letters to them months into her living her and they never once replied. Not to mention, Ozai told her how they had been here for weeks and not once did they make a move to see or speak to her. Katara understood her father denounced her while her mother had been forbidden by her father from approaching her. It hurt. It hurt badly. But…she had to find Ozai. She looked everywhere and couldn't find him. She knew Iroh had to know.
"Your majesty." Katara greeted Iroh as she figured she'd focus on him alone and ignore her parents just as they had ignored her.
Iroh along with the Southern Tribe monarchs looked up to the Water Princess.
"Katara, how are yo-"
"Where is Ozai?" Katara cut him off as she tilted her head in what looked like concern. "He normally shows up to pick me up from the children's medical center but today, he didn't. Not only that but I can find him nowhere."
Iroh sighed, "My dear, he's in the prison tower right now."
"Why?!" Katara's eyes were wide as she didn't expected to hear that.
Before Iroh could explain anything to her, her father spoke up. "That bastard accosted me in the hallways."
Katara turned to her father and furrowed her brows. "He did?"
Hakoda stood to look at his daughter with a seldom look on his face. "Katara, that man is a monster. What you wrote to us was not a lie. His brother confirmed everything." His gaze becoming one of lament. "You've suffered a great deal, my daughter, I am so sorry I wasn't there to protect you."
Katara stared numbly at her father, "No, my virtue was far more important of a topic. Without it, I was useless to you and valueless as a daughter. My pain and suffering meant nothing to you."
"Kata-"
Kya stood and pulled her husband back as he tried to reach for their daughter, "She is right, Hakoda."
"I didn't know he was using you to anger me! I didn't know it was all he wanted was to take my daughter from me!"
Katara scowled at her father, "Ozai didn't take me. You threw me at his feet!"
"I did what I thought was right since you lost your virtue to him."
Shaking her head, "You called me a whore, father! I was trying to save our people from another war because you refused to cooperate! And you called me a whore!"
"I'm sorry, Katara." Hakoda tried expressing. "I am sorry I couldn't see past something so trivial in the grand scheme of things."
Katara's hardened expression grew with grief as she looked at him, "It's too late for that, father."
With that, Katara left as she was going to go visit Ozai and get to the bottom of what happened for him to end up in prison. As she reached the prison tower, the guards allowed her in as the Fire Lord had already permitted it. She was escorted to one of the top floor cells in an isolated part of the prison. When the metal doors were opened, Katara saw Ozai behind the bars that devided the room. He was lounging on a lounge chair with his arm draped over his face in his casual attire. The cell looked anything but a cell. More like a mini lounge with bars. Was this a cell for highborns?
"I'm not hungry for that trash you feed the other prisoners. Don't bother bringing it in." Ozai grumbled as he couldn't see who entered due to his arm blocking off his vision.
"If you're not eating the food here, then I'll fix you something and bring it back here." Katara replied.
Ozai removed his arm and glanced at the doorway where his wife was entering. He sat up on the lounge chair and stood to his feet, walking up to the bars as she stood directly in front of them.
"What are you doing here?" He asked her with a raised brow.
Katara sighed, "Looking for my husband and wondering why he's in prison."
"Iroh didn't tell you?" Ozai was a bit surprised.
Folding her arms over her chest, "My father beat him to the punch but I want to hear your side."
"My side?"
"Yes," Katara looked up at her tall husband. "What exactly did you say to him?"
Ozai looked her over a little before sighing and averting his gaze, "I told him I wanted you from the moment I laid eyes on you and even more, I wanted to make him pay for pissing me off during the treaty's conception. I told him he made it incredibly easy by being a horrible and hateful father. Handing is daughter over to a man he didn't like over something so petty. I told him I knew it would work because he and I are both cold bastards."
Frowning at her husband, "Is that true?"
"Sort of."
Huffing as she dropped her arms at this, "Ozai, every time you talk about back then it confuses me more. Forget what you've ever said about the matter to me or my father. Why did you manipulate me into sleeping with you?"
Ozai gold eyes were back on her, "What if I told you I just saw a pretty little Water Nymph and I wanted to fuck her?"
"That would not be hard to believe." Katara snorted as she fixed her hair a little and sighed. "So, you wanted to bang me. Simple enough. And when we were sleeping together and it felt to me we were getting closer, what was running through your head and be honest. I need to know the truth."
Ozai rolled his eyes, "What the hell does it even matter? It was almost eight years ago." He groaned.
"If I'm going to continue staying in your domain and try to be a good wife to you, then I need you to tell me."
"Good wife?! You fucking hate my guts! Hell, you were fucking the damn palace physician behind my back!" Ozai was fed up.
Katara furrowed her brows at him, "You were a monster of a husband, Ozai. It would not be as it is if you had been kind early on."
"Well, I'm kind now, aren't I?" Ozai scoffed.
"Only to get what you want." Katara spat.
"And is that so wrong when what I want is you?!" Ozai growled at her. "I've only wanted you, damn it!"
"Then why were you cruel to me, Ozai." Katara asked him in a pleading tone. "I fell in love with you and you made me eat those feelings, shoved them down my throat."
Ozai turned away from her, "You want justification for why I did those things to you?! Well, I can't give you that, Katara! I can't! There is no justification! I'm fucked up! I fucked up! I wanted you to be my exotic little whore! I had plans to go back for you. I bought a villa not far from the palace under my alias. I was going to take you there, fuck you like the good little pet you were and have some mutts with you to keep you company when I was living my life in peace in the palace. You were a pet to me. That's what went through my head. A fun little water sprite that I could unload the stress of my situation into. It worked when I had to deal with your father. I knew it could work with me dealing with my family and Ursa. The problem came about when you exposed our little fun, dear. I understand why you did it but you did it nonetheless. I was furious because you were my one source of relief and you made yourself a damn headache! Ursa wouldn't shut up about you! It drove me mad!" Ozai went on to explain how he had moments where he tried to figure out how he could fit her into his life, have his release, and not anger Ursa. "But there was no way around it. You provided more comfort with your pretty little face than Ursa could with her legs open."
Apparently, after Katara left his domain with their two children and he was not able to vent anything her way, he turned into a husk of the man he was. Ursa berated him for it. Calling him lousy and pathetic. He nearly killed her one time and told her if she didn't leave, he'd slaughter her in her sleep. The kids heard it and decided to flee with their mother, which was not what he wanted. He just wanted Ursa gone. He cared about his children. At least he tried to.
"Anyways, you showed up and I was still irritatedup until I saw our children. Ursa is probably right about me being pathetic because despite my flaws, I do thrive best when I have a family. I don't like being alone. A pitiful result of being shunned as a child, I know, but I am what I am." Ozai sighed as he took a seat on the lounge chair. "There was no noble reason why I asked you to return to the domain other than I really did want the children and you there. The children, because I enjoy being a father, and you for very obvious reasons. But the way I look at you has changed, I'll admit. I noticed things that I never acknowledged before about you and to my dismay, I've developed feelings for you. You're much more than what I have ever considered you to be and I confronted your father in order for him to give you to apology you deserve. As much as you'd like to see me as the villain. I'm not alone in that anology."
Katara stared at the man and gave him a look that asked if he was finished.
Rolling his eyes, "Yes, I'm finished."
"Good because I didn't ask for all that information but thank you for clearing a few things for me." Katara said in a sarcastic tone. "Anyways, if what you say is all true, Ozai, then I think I can live with that."
Ozai raised a brow, "You can?"
Katara nodded. "You're an evil bastard but if you really have feelings for me now after years of all the mental gymnastics you've had to do, then I can live with that."
Standing back up, Ozai walked back to the bars and stared down at her curiously. She sighed and looked up at him, reaching her hand through the bars to rest it on his face. His little water wife told him that if it had not been for the fact that he was attractive and her being starved for any kind of affection, she'd tell him to go to hell. She really wanted to and she told him regardless but admitted to not truly meaning it. All in all, she just hated how cruel he had been to her over the years and despite his recent efforts, she didn't want to forgive him.
"But I will." Katara reluctantly said. "We've been deprived of what we want long enough."
Holding her hand to his face, "Is that so?"
Nodding, "Behave yourself and get out of prison soon." Her blue eyes left his face as they looked over him. "It's been long enough since we've last enjoyed one another."
Something heated in Ozai's gaze as he glanced from over her head to see that the guards had shut the door, "How about you turn around and lift your dress up, hmm? Why wait?"
Katara's eyes lit up as she looked over her shoulder before giving him a smirk as she did as asked. As soon as her dress rose over her hips and she pressed her ass against the bars, she felt her husband pull her panties down before removing his member from his pants. It wasn't long before he pressed on her back for her to bend over and plunged himself into her depths as he gripped her hips. Katara was soak and wet which was driving Ozai nuts as he thrusted hard into her, letting every inch of him stroke her tight warmth. Agni, she felt so good. No one felt better than her. Since the very first time he had her to now, he felt he could get lost in the sex the two of them had.
Fingertips digging into her ass as held it to the bars so he could get deeper into her, Ozai listened to her whimper and moans. From the way she was clenching him, he could tell she was already on the verge of orgasming. Clearly, whatever affair she had with the physician left her pretty pink pussy craving for more but only he could give it to her. Ozai knew he was well endowed. All the women he had ever been with would look at him for the first time like they were afraid of his size. Katara was no different when they were first together. It took her time to adjust and now, she could open up like a flower to him. A very pleasurable flower that he couldn't get enough of.
"Ozai! Ozai! Right there! Please, fuck me right there!" Katara sung as she had truly missed the feeling of him inside of her. It had been years. Over Five years to be exact. As much as she enjoyed Physician Sho, he was nothing in comparison to the Fire Prince that had her first and shaped her into a woman that could only ever be satisfied by him.
Plunging deeper into his pleading wife, Ozai growled as it was clear she needed this badly and he wanted even more to give it to her. She was cumming hard on him, gushing out all around him, dripping her juices on the floor. Oh, she was deprived. He knew he should have done more to convince her she needed this. Now, she was an absolute mess and it would take a while, a long while to sate her. But it was no sweat off his back, he much enjoyed having her like this. Even better, things would be far different than before. They didn't have to hide or dance around what they were doing. They could be as obvious as they wanted. They were married and there was no additional bitter wife to tell either of them to stop or complain. They were free to spend every night like this. Agni, he was going to have her screaming to the top of her lungs when he got out of prison.
Probing her ass with his index finger as he rode her pussy, the Fire Prince watched her bend down even more, touching her toes in complete submission. "You little pent up, minx! You want me in here too?"
"Yes!" She said excitedly as he pulled out of her pussy slowly, her juices covering his member.
Seeing as his cock was lubericated enough from her moist insides, Ozai spread her ass apart in order to fit himself inside and hissed through his teeth at how her ass felt. She choked on a cry as he reached the hilt and drew back just enough to thrust back in. He carefully moved in and out of her to help shape her out more. His large member needed a little more space than it was providing in order for him to really give her the fucking she needed without hurting her. But she assured him, she'd endure as her body needed a brutal fucking. Ozai pulled her ass against the bars some more as he fucked into her more narrow hole.
"There you go, princess." Ozai purred as he listened to her pained moans.
Katara reached between her legs and rubbed her clit while her husband made good use of her ass. "Deeper." She told him.
Slamming himself in to the hilt, Ozai grinned as she screamed. "Right here?"
"YES!" She cried out. "YES! RIGHT THERE!"
"Mmmm," Ozai licked his lips as he gazed down at how nicely her ass looked with his dick buried in it. "Who knew are prude little Water Princess could be turned out like this? You know, only whores like it up the ass."
Katara was drooling at how good he felt, "You know damn well this is your fault!"
"Is it?" Ozai decided slow strokes were not enough and decided to pick up his pace. She was loose enough for him.
Katara's eyes rolled to the back of her head as she took his brutal fucking. Her ass would no doubt be in need of healing after this. Tui and La, how had she gone so long without this? It shouldn't have mattered how he saw her or felt about her. Not when he could make her feel like this. The only good that came out of her resisting him was that he grew feelings that were not tied to sex to her. Not like any of that mattered as they were married. They didn't need feelings at this point. They just needed this. Though she wouldn't complain. His newly acquired kindness did make him much more bearable outside the bedroom.
"Shit, I'm about to cum!" Ozai hissed.
Nearly there as well, "Fill me up!"
The Fire Prince rammed her ass even harder and unloaded himself into her ass. Even as he pulled out, he was still cumming, milking the rest all over her nice round ass. Agni, he was turned on by how the glaze of his release oozed from her ass as a layer was spread all around it. He needed to fuck it some more. He was backed up. Katara knew he wasn't done with her and decided not to move away as he panted, pushing his cock back into her cream filled hole. They both moan loudly as it felt even better with her ass filled with cum.
Iroh figured his sister-in-law had gone to see his brother and decided to check on them. However, as he got to where his brother's cell was, the Fire Lord heard what was clearly loud moans and crying. The guards stationed outside looked uncomfortable and Iroh decided to peak through the small shutter of the metal door of the cell. Seeing inside, he saw Katara with her dress lifted as she pressed against the cell bars. Ozai was taking her from behind, his hands holding her by her throat as her eyes were rolled back. He slide the shutter closed and sighed.
"When they're done, let them know my brother can return to his domain." Iroh ordered the guards and they nodded.
….
"I see." Kya seemed a bit uneasy hearing that her daughter had gone to the prison her husband was held in and made it a conjugal visit. However, she understood her was a married woman and had been for a few years now. It was good to know the two were…getting along now.
Iroh held his tea as he sighed to the Chieftainess, "It's been two days now. The servants tell me they've been held up in their rooms ever since they returned. I guess it makes sense seeing as they haven't been intimate in five years."
Furrowing her brows, "My husband is a fool to call our daughter a whore. She waited till her husband proved himself before she let him back into her bed. No, whore would do that."
Iroh nodded and told her to give it a few days for the couple to get it out of their system as it had been a while for them.
Back at the Fire Prince's domain, Katara was vigorously riding her husband as he bucked up into her, taking him deep in the ass. She had been wanting that hole stimulated for a long time and she took every moment she could to get him to fuck that hole. Ozai never lasted very long this way but he always shoved it back in her pussy to cum there. The two of them wanted another child together. Ozai told her she gave him such beautiful children that he wanted more from her and would do everything in his power to impregnant her.
Pushing her forward, Ozai took over and shoved his cock in her pussy to finish inside her. He burst almost immediately and thrusted some in order to make sure every drop had spilled into her. When he pulled out of her, she turned over and grabbed his hair as she kissed him deeply, the two of them falling back into bed. Ozai climbing on top of her and lifted one of her thighs with get back inside of her as he was not done with her yet. However, there was banging on their chamber doors and Ozai told Yatori to get it.
"My lord, your brother is here." He told him.
Ozai had already re-entered his wife and she was gripping him too tight for him to stop now. "Tell him to wait." He groaned as Katara whispered that he needed to finish with her first.
Iroh sighed as he could hear his brother and sister-in-law going at it. They clearly were in little rush despite him making his appearance. He didn't understand how they were on day five and barely came up for air. If this was how they were like in the South Pole, he didn't understand how they weren't caught and it was no surprise that Katara had gotten pregnant. The sexual chemistry between the two was unreal.
When they finally finished, Ozai left out of the room first and looked exhausted. Iroh tried not to chuckle at this but it was hard not to notice.
"What is it?" Ozai asked.
Iroh stared at him in amusement, "Katara's parents are preparing to return home. I figured you let her leave the bed for a few days to spend time with her family."
Ozai rustled his long hair and scoffed, "You think I'm holding her hostage in bed?"
"You're not?"
Sighing, "That woman has clearly been deprived and her little affair did nothing to sate her. The things she has me doing. I enjoy it. Oh, I enjoy it very much but Agni, Katara has me by the balls. Literally."
Iroh couldn't imagine how any man would see that as a problem but he digressed.
"I almost want to go and kill that inadequent physician for not satisfying her properly, leaving me to tame her wild urges."
Iroh burst out laughing.
"This is no laughing matter, brother. The woman takes me in my sleep."
"You've gotten what you asked for, brother." Iroh chuckled. "Just tell her to take a break and come see her parents."
Ozai stood wit his brother, telling him to wait and take Katara with him now so that he could rest without worry that his sleep will be interrupted by her mounting him. Iroh mused as Katara finally left the bedroom and went up to his brother to slap him in the back of the head.
"You make me sound like a she-wolf, Ozai!" Katara spat in annoyance.
Ozai winced, "You are."
"Your fault." Katara blamed him as she turned her attention to Iroh. "I don't wish to see them, Iroh."
"And why not?"
"They've disowned me. Why would I go see them?"
Ozai groaned as he pinched his brows, "Just go see them, damn it!"
"Then come with me."
"No, thank you. I hate your father and your mother pestered me into going to jail. I'll sit out going to see your parents, dear." Ozai spat.
Katara glared at him, "I'm sleeping in the guest chambers."
Ozai mumbled something about how he'd finally get some sleep for once to which Iroh had to grab Katara before she could jump his brother again and not in the marital way she had been doing the last few days.
As Katara was removed from their chambers and Ozai order his servants to not let her in until he woke from his nap, Iroh sighed as he held to his sister-in-law's arm. Assuring her that all would be fine.
Ozai was so relieved when Katara's parents left. He knew Katara had been upset to say goodbye to her mother but it was fortunate that her father agreed to let the woman visit often. Once the Chieftain and Chieftainess were gone, he and Katara had room to finally discuss their marriage in full. Things were sorted out and Katara was still at times cold towards him due to her distrust of him, Ozai didn't mind making her see that he meant well. It wasn't long before she was pregnant again, with their third child, and Ozai was doing his best to be supportive throughout her pregnancy as before he had been absent or downright cruel.
When their second son, Sota, had been born, Ozai was thrilled. He rained kisses along his wife's cheeks as she had their son just moments after birthing him. She was a lot warmer to him by that point and as time went on, the Water Princess came to love her husband as he had already learned to love her. Though their time together was born out of a heated affair that went cold so soon and for so long, things did turn around for them which was rarely ever the case for many in their shoes but they made it work. Life went on and they lived much more happily than they should have.
