In the auto
The girls were too scared to say anything to each other about what just happened. They were sure that Arjun has shown his real angry side for the first time since they met him. And they knew nothing could get in their ways if they have him with them. They were grateful for that. But at this moment, they didn't see want to come across to that angry look in him. The look of pure anger and anguish looked unreal and dreadful. The rumbling clouds that mirrored his wrath back then was a clear signal of how divine Arjun is; that he surely is a demigod. So messing up with him is a true horror. Sakshi sat beside him and thought about it as she cautiously glanced at him, hoping to catch his eyes, to tell him it is alright. She wanted him to relax. But he is looking straight, in fact, his whole body was rigid as his piercing eyes were not leaving the squirming auto wala, who was in hurry to drive as fast as possible to the destination before he gets beheaded by Arjun.
"Sakshi" Preeti croons, as she edgingly sat on Archana's lap again since there isn't enough space to accommodate them in the Auto. "Arjun is a human na?"
Sakshi rolls her eyes.
As they reach the temple, they look around. The temple gates are closed. Preeti and Archana drop their drooping bodies to the stairs of the temple. Exhausted.
"Tu investigate kar! hum thoda rest karte he!" Archana declares to Sakshi, stretching her arms. Preeti lazily yawn as she rest her head on Archana's shoulders. Arjun shook his head thinking how are they going to bear their children if they act so lazy now.
A chaiwala was making tea at the corner of the street adjacent to the temple. Sakshi squinted her eyes and spotted him. It might be a great idea to ask him about this temple; a local rather than surfing the internet randonmly. Thinking this she intended to go up to him to ask about the timings of the temple.
"Kidher ja rahi hai ap, Sakshi ji?" Arjun asks, feeling slightly worried. Archana raised her eye brows. Sakshi points at the chai wala. Arjun flared his nose.
"Main bhi chalta hoon apke sath!" saying this he looks at the man and start to walk away to the direction. Sakshi looked back at her friends, knew that they would be enjoying this sudden protectiveness of Arjun.
"Oho possessive!" Preeti sings.
"Anyone wants Chai?" Sakshi asks rolling her eyes at her best friends' goofiness.
"Ji avashya! Sakshi ji!" Archana teases her. Sakshi ignored their snickers; trotting off behind Arjun.
"8 baje tak khulega mandir, or Nidhi van bhi!" The chai wala informs.
Sakshi looks at Arjun, who has no idea about the times and clocks. She smiled at him.
"Ap chai piyenge!" she asks.
Arjun looked questioningly.
"Rukiye!"
she then orders four masala teas' for her friends and Arjun. He looked strangely at the kettle and the glasses. Are they clean?
"Arjun...ji" Sakshi gulps; daring not to look at his penetrating eyes. If eyes and gazes could make a person go nervous, it would be his.
He noticed it.
"Ap iske baad, kidher jainge?" she asks.
He sighs, "Mujhe kisi ki pratiksha karni he yaha! raatri tak!" He looked at her before zoning into recalling another lucid dream he had in his sleep back in the train, last night.
You have to enter the Nidhi van in Midnight to meet Vasudev Krishn. He will direct you to further you destination. But do not engage any kalyug mortals with you to see Krishn in his Divine form.
But Guru ji, the kanyai are helping me to reach here. How is it fair for them if they don't meet such a kind person as Vasudev to and seek his blessings?
You don't worry, Pandu putra. Vasudev will surely meet them. It is his leela and he knows how to deal with it!
"Arjun ji?" Sakshi nudged at Arjun from his train of thoughts.
He looked at her questioningly.
"Chai!" she hands him a small cup of hot milky liquid, "dhyan se, garam he!" she warns. He held the cup; looking strangely at the drink and then at her.
"Yeh peete kaise hai? Adhik garam hai!" his big round eyes full of question sure made her giggle, again.
"Ese Pete hai!" saying this she sips through her cup carefully, then signally him with her eyes to try.
He chuckles lightly at her adorable expressions. He mimics her actions and slurps the liquid carefully.
He squints his eyes; trying to comprehend the taste.
"Yeh to payasam hai. Adhik jal de diya hai parantu!" he concludes.
Sakshi gleefully shakes her head, "Payasam? Nehi Arjun ji! isko chai bolte hai! yeh chai ki patti ko ubal ke dudh deke bante he!"
Arjun sips some more of it, actually liking the taste of the masala tea. The warmth of it is helping his fatigued mind. Meanwhile the chai wala who was enjoying cutesy conversation, was equally curious to know about this strange man who hasn't ever tasted tea.
"Ka bhaiya! kaha se ayee ho? Chai bhi nehi pite ka?" he asked while stirring the big pot of tea.
Sakshi clears her throat, "America, waha se! waha coffee peete hai na!" she laughs forcefully.
The man did an "ooo" sound while nodding. Before he questions more, Sakshi ends her tea nudging Arjun to get out of there. Arjun understood and walks off with her.
Archana and Preeti were busy in their mobiles when Sakshi comes and tell them about the plan.
"Midnight tak! yaha pe? are you nuts?" Archana mumbles.
Preeti's eyes widen, "Aree tum log actual me Krishn bhagwan se milne ka plan kar rahe ho kya?"
Arjun's breath caught as he thought she has guessed.
"Kya bole ja rahi hai?" Archana looked comically at her as they sit on the plight of stairs of the temple.
"Aree, news me dikhate he na...yaha krishn bhagwaan roz raat ko gopiyo ke saath nachte he!"
"Raas leela kehte he use!" Archana corrects her, before continuing, "But its all myth yar..." her words halts as her 'mythical' Arjun was sitting right in front of her. Alive! She slaps her head with her palm.
Arjun though was clueless about her exact words, could somehow comprehend what she meant.
He laughs, "Ap teeno ko kasht karne ki avashykta nehi hai! main hi yaha pratiksha kar lunga!" His eyes travel to Sakshi, with a distant sadness.
"Ab ap teeno yaha se apne kanya avas ke liye prasthan kare!"
Preeti looks questioningly at Sakshi, "Translation?"
Sakshi's nose flared as she looking offendedly at Arjun. "Hum yaha se kahi nehi jainge! Ap jab tak kalyug me ho hum tab tak apke saath hai!"
Archana raises her eyebrows before nodding, "yeah dude, jate jate shaadi bhi karke jana iske saaoucchhh! Sakshiiii!" She groans in pain as she got a good blow on her shin by her bestie. Arjun looked away, trying to hide his flushed grins. he was partly happy that he was fortunate to have their company for the rest of his journey. It felt quite selfish for him, but for now he didn't want to ram his brain thinking too much. He has grown certain fondness of them being around him.
They depart from the temple as the girls and Arjun decide to eat and travel around until the evening since it is too boring to sit in the temple all day long. waiting for midnight.
The girls were very keen to take Arjun for a good desi breakfast, before going anywhere.
"Dosa ya bhature?" Archana reads from the menu to Sakshi who was sitting next to her; counting the money in her wallet.
"Jo bhi sasta ho!" she pouts.
"Kanjus!"
"main kanjus? tu paise dekh, humko hostel bhi jana ha...madam!" She fussed at Archana.
"or Atm?"
"sirf 5000 bache hai! Account close ho jaiga ab!" she pouts.
"Maine pichle hafte hi pocket money mangi thi! Ab to papa sunte hi phone kat denge!" Archana gloats before she decides to roast her bestie, "Arjun ke Jewellery bech de! Paisa hi paisa hoga!"
"Very funny!" Sakshi rolls her eyes before sulking.
Preeti meanwhile gave her phone to entertain Arjun's curiosity while she dozed to a quick nap next to him as they order the food.
Arjun looks up at Sakshi, sensing at her worried face.
"Kya hua Sakshi ji?"
"we are broke! I mean... paise kam hai!"
He looked at her hand, snatching the wallet from her clutch.
"Arjun ji!" Sakshi embarrassingly motions him to give it back. He smiles at her teasingly before opening the wallet, taking a strange looking paper out.
"yeh kya hai?"
"Paise!" Archana apathetically spoke; she was already having a headache for explaining each and everything to him.
Thankfully he figured that it's kalyug ke mudraye.
He could even feel it is quite necessary for these girls to help him to go back to his home. Hence, in order for them to stay afloat by his side until the end of the journey, he needs to help them. He smiles inwardly as he looks at the paper money that he was holding. Sakshi and Archana look at each other through the corner of their eyes questioningly, before they watch Arjun chant something folding the wallet between his palms. Within a few moments he takes Sakshi's hand; putting the wallet back on her hand, with her a loving smile.
Curiously, she looked inside. Her eyes almost pop out to see a big bundle of the same notes that she had a while ago. He has magically tripled the amount. She gulps as she look at him, her eyes full of amazement. He chuckles silently at her astonished expression, before looking away; taking a sip on his glass of water.
"kya hua?" Archana ask curiously. Sakshi looks here and there before carefully thrusting the wallet to her bestie's hand.
"Duuuudee!" Archana gasps. Few waiters and guests caught looking at her strange reaction.
"Chup ho ja!" Sakshi coughs before pinching her bestfriend to shut up. Arjun couldn't stop his grins as he felt he could sit around all day watching their comical talks and entertain himself.
They happily helped themselves with their favorites in the menu. Since they have the money to spend. So they ordered chole bhature with big glasses of fresh lassi! to start their amazing journey.
The girls enjoyed their breakfast with utmost happiness. Arjun was feeling delighted to see the girls so happy and carefree, enjoying his company.
Sakshi looked up at him, signalling him to eat the food. He nods, blissfully, before taking a bite of his food. Sakshi looks playfully at her friends then at Arjun before abruptly standing. She moves over to Preeti.
"Archana ke sath beth jake!" she orders her. Preeti shrugs, obeying still. Arjun innocently looks up at her. She sits next to him as his eyes still caught on her serene face, Arjun's long hair ruffling by a soft breeze as she watches him with shyness. Blushing because of intensity of his gaze she takes his plate from him. She tears some bhature with her fingers; taking some chole between them and holding it out for him to eat from her hand. His beautiful smile widens, as he leans in; his eyes still haven't left her eyes as he takes the bite from her hand. He slowly chews; as he does the same from the same plate, holding a bite for her to eat as well. With flushed cheeks she leans to eat but someone nudges her. She feels disturbed. Out of sudden, Archana shouts near her ears mercilessly.
"Dude, breakfast karle! or give your food to me! Dont freaking waste it!" Archana scolds her. Sakshi was confused as she startled to see she was dreaming. A freaking day dreaming fool she became. Preeti and Arjun were chattering normally as they ate in peace.
Sulking as her heart still hammered inside her abnormally she ate in silence. Arjun looked at her through the corner of his eyes before he smirked inwardly.
The girls were feeling thankful for Arjun to help them like this. So they planned to do some shopping for him. A token of gratitude. Although he kept denying them that he doesn't need anything, but alas, can any man ever be able to convince a woman when it comes to shopping. Arjun sighs, as they pulls him with them to a nearby mall. He looks up gawking at the strange looking building, made up of glass. He sights so many young couples, holding hands, wearing extremely revealing clothes.
He gulps nervously, before following the girls.
They take him to a branded men's store.
"hmmm...yeh try karo!" Archana picks up beautifully cut white tshirt and blue ripped jeans before thrusting them to him. He shakes his head like a stubborn child.
Archana scowls at him, making him shudder under her glare.
"Ek baar to try kijiye! please!" Preeti begs. Sakshi just enjoys the bickering between her besties and Arjun with pleasure. Arjun groans looking up at heaven, probably asking his god father Indra to come down for some help. Sakshi and Preeti chuckles, hi fiving each other. Arjun scowled playfully at Sakshi for enjoying his helplessness. She shrugs at him with a giggle. He sluggishly Trots to the dressing room.
(His exact frowns that he gave to our sweet poor Sakshi)
Preeti and Archana abandon Sakshi to look for some fancy shoes for themselves. While Sakshi stayed to pick a few more t-shirts for Arjun to try.
She knocks at the door of the trial room.
"Arjun ji," She clears her throat, "yeh do or Tshirts hai! please inhe bhi try kijiye ek baar!" She was trying hard not to giggle. She knew how much he is cringing to wear modern day clothes. She is making a mental note to apologize for laughing at him. Her train of thoughts get caught as the door of the trial room opens. A hand suddenly grabs her wrist; pulling her inside the trial room.
Before she could shriek, frightened, she felt a hand clasp her mouth. she looked gapingly at Arjun. He chuckling at her wide eyed expression. His face changes into frowns as he pins her to the wall. Towering over her he was coming closer and closer to her. He could feel her getting nervous as he enjoyed her squirming. He let go of her mouth as she was giving a muffled warning to him.
"Sakshi ji, kuch adhik hi laabh utha rahi ho apne sakhio ke sath milkar mere vivashta ka? tanik bhi lajja nehi hai tumme?" He scowls his eyes as he leans in closer to her face. She turns her head to the side as she closes her eyes to think coherently; damn this man is being determined enough to tease her to the next level. He touches her chin and turns her to face him. He watches her beautiful pouty lips with unknown interest. She opens her eyes smirking with teasing grin.
"Kalyug me to sab ese hi hai! Besharam! Or ab ap bhi ban chuke hai! Besharam!" She mocks, before ducking down to get out of his grasp, trying to making an escape. He laughs as he held her wrist from fleeing, pulling her back to him. Her back is pinned against his hard chest. She gasps as she feels his strong hands running against the bare skins of her arms. His hands are so warm. She could melt and she wouldn't mind it either. He could feel the goosebumps on her skin.
"Kya? apne mujhe nirlajj kaha?" he whispers, pretending to sound offended at her choice of words.
"Or kya?" She bravely accepts. He stuffed a low chuckle at her crackling voice.
"Mere akele ka koi dosh nehi! Ap is tarah mujhe sata rahi ho, yeh kadachit hi ek aprad hai!" he whispers as his hand pushes the silky hair on her shoulder out of the way, exposing the white porcelain skin to him.
"Agar ap utne bhole ho, to yeh kya kar rahe ho?!" She complained back. She gasps and her complaint falters; as he casually touches side her neck with his lips; tracing against her soft skin with his lips as it runs up to her left ear.
"Main bhi tumhe sata raha hu, tumhare is vivashta ka uchit laab utha raha hu. Yadi kalyug mein nirlajj banna sadharan hai, to main bhi ban rha hu.. nirlajj! keval..." he grins ending his whispers in a hoarse murmur, "... mere Sakshi ke liye!" He murmurs her name in her ears as he pecks on her diamond ear stud with utmost passion.
"Arjun!" She moans, gripping on to the Tshirts that she still held in her hand. His grins widen as he could comprehend what his action is doing to her at this moment. But in the back of his mind he feels a hidden pang of guilt stabbing through his chest. What exactly is he doing? Why? When he knows that he has to leave her here, in this era. Why is he coming so close to her? Why is he giving her this false hope of incomplete love? His grin falters as he slowly let go of her, backing away.
Sakshi turns around questioningly. She could judge his hazy confused eyes; full of longingness and sorrow.
She instantly knew what he was thinking. Gathering some will power she shakes her head; encouraging him to not be sad. She is fortunate to have him at this time, and she will cherish each and every moment of it. He smiles back, looking at the tshirts before taking them from her hands.
"Main yeh poshak dharan karunga! keval tumhare liye!" he assured her. Sakshi smiles, turning around to open the door. "Arjun!" She calls out as she stands facing the door since she didn't want to face him. She doesn't have the guts to. "Hmm?" He didn't look at her as he was ogling with utmost disgust at the clothes he has to wear. "I...I love you!" She squints her eyes shut; pursed her lips painfully she immediately runs out before he could react. She is thanking the lord that he couldn't understand any of the words she blurted.
"Oh, madam!" Archana waves her hand in front of a distraught looking Sakshi as she was looking for her lost friend, "Kidher the ap? Apka phone bhi mere pas hai!"
She absentmindedly points to the trial room. Immediately regretting. Archana looked confused, "Par yeh to boys trial room..." Then her eyes widens.
"Sirf tshirts...dene gayi thi!" Sakshi folds her hands begging Archana to not cook anything up. Actually, its already cooked and in a course of over cooking.
After the shopping the girls are happy that Arjun has changed into something not so raggedy. Archana was equally happy that his attire was not of his stupid ex.
(Ignore the jacket he is holding)
After the shopping the girls decide to do something equally fun. Movies!
"Yeh badiya hai! esi movie dikhao! kabhi dobara Kalyug me na aye!" Archana suggests. Sakshi glares at her.
Meanwhile Preeti is having a tuff luck in explaining what movie is called, in shudh hindi.
"ciineemaaaa!" She rolls out slower in a bhojpuri accent.
Sakshi trusted Archana and gave her the money to choose a suitable movie for them to watch and translate since it's too crowded outside the booth. But darn her, a hollywood dubbed movie of James bond, is her choice to show Arjun.
Sakshi smacks Archana back in the head.
"Kya? Marti kyu rehti hai baar baar?" She winces.
"James bond? Dwapar yug ke Arjun ko James bond?"
Archana sighs, "Dekh, bollywood is full of photo copies of south films with nepotism in silver platter... disappointment to pakka hai! atleast James Bond me kuch to original milega dekhne ko! woh bhi kuch seekh ke jaiga!"
"Or usme jo intense kissing scenes hote he? Woh kaise dikhainge hum is bhole insaan ko?"
"Aree, fikar not! you are master in explaining. Main to kehti hoon, practically bhi samjha diyo, apne bhole insaan ko!"
"Just shut up yar just..."
"Ap dono punah jhagda kar rahe he?" Arjun scoffed at the girls as he pulled over carrying two large mutant buckets of popcorn. They wait to enter the theatre. Preeti trailing behind him; carrying over the drinks.
"Aree yar, pichle janam me meri biwi thi yeh!" Archana mocks.
Preeti starts to laugh while Arjun could've had an attack, mortified expressions lingering.
