Prologue:

The sun was beating down in the middle of a Summer afternoon. A demolition crew was finishing up their work as the last standing wall came crashing down.

"That's it!" the Demolition Chief called out. "Just load it up, and we can get out of here."

"Hey Chief!" a crewman in his early 20s, came up to him. "What about the suit? It's still in the back of the van?"

"Client says he wants it delivered to the restaurant in Houston, with the rest of them." He hands Mike a piece of paper with an address written on it. "And you, Mike Schmidt, get the honor of delivering it."

"Aw, why do I gotta do it?"

"Because you asked for overtime," the chief chuckled.

Mike slipped the paper into the pocket of his vest as he made his way to the parking lot. His approached the aforementioned van, a rusty light tan Chevrolet with a worn out company logo. The word, "entertainment" was the only term at all readable. Mike unlocked the driver's side door with his car key, and casually got into the van. As he strapped himself in, he looked over to the back of the vehicle. A yellow bear costume was staring at him with eyeless black sockets.

"I hope you're up for a long car trip," Mike quipped as he started the ignition.

The van pulled out of the parking lot and drives off just as the demolition vehicles were also departing. Along the freeway, it passed by a sign that read, "San Antonio."

Later that afternoon in Houston, the van was parked in the lot in front of an old restaurant. Mike struggled to pull the heavy bear suit out of the van. He looked like he was aiding an injured soldier in the middle of a war as he managed to get it to the front door. Mike walked in unfazed by the door being unlocked, though the yellow bear suit proved to be an excellent distraction from that.

"Welcome to your new home, big fella…and I use term loosely," he joked as he carried the suit down the hallway. The inside the restaurant was run down in appearance, but still salvageable. "I used to love coming here as a kid. It was much more…alive." He entered into the dining area, and the first thing he noticed was a purple curtain decorated with white stars. Dust particles clung to the fabric. "Ah, Pirate's cove! I'd come over here with a slice of pizza in one hand and a cup of soda in the other to listen to ol' Foxy sing his sea shanties."

Curiously, he pulled the curtain open. There stood Foxy the Pirate Fox looking as brand new as the day he was first put together. Mike smiled for a moment before he continued forward. He then came up to the stage in front of all the tables. He smiled again at the site of Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny and Chica the Chicken. Like Foxy, they were completely refurbished.

"Say hi to your old friends," he said as he held up the yellow bear's arm and waved it in front of Freddy. "Glad to see they take care of the old animatronics. I think those toy versions were too cute for my taste." Mike then passed by two tables before coming to a door marked "Restricted! Employees Only!"

"Ah, here it is! Right where they said it would be."

He walked through the door and into to a room housing spare robot parts. On the floor sat a yellowish-green bunny suit with most of it's right ear broken off. Across from it was a mangled white and pink vixen animatronic. Leaning up against two of three arcade cabinets slumped a black puppet with white stripes on its arms and legs and white buttons on its chest.

"Meet your new roommates."

Mike sets the yellow bear suit down next to the arcade machine farthest from the puppet. On his way out, he looked at the bunny suit with a sense of familiarity.

"I'm thinking you two have met somewhere before."

With that, Mike Schmidt exited the room. No sooner was he gone than the yellow bear suddenly lifted up its head. Small white pupils, no bigger than single marble, appeared from its eye sockets.

Chapter 1:

On one of their slow, uneventful business days, the Ghostbusters decided to have a picnic in Central Park. Underneath the shade of a large tree, Egon Spangler and Janine Melnitz were sharing a strawberry cheese cake.

"Isn't this wonderful, Egon?" she asked dreamily. "No ghosts, no paper work, and no exploding experiments."

"Just you and me, Janine," Egon responded. While his eyes were looking directly into hers, his mind was focused on secretly tinkering with his PKE meter off to the side.

"Egon?"

"Yes, Janine?"

"Put it away or I'm gonna break it!"

Without hesitation, he picked up the PKE meter and placed it gently in the picnic basket. Janine offered him some cake on a fork. Egon took a bite and smiled.

"High in sugar, but otherwise appetizing."

"It's supposed to be sweet…but thanks."

Janine gave him a peck on the cheek. Not far away, Winston Zeddmore and Ray Stantz were throwing a Frisbee. Slimer, the little green ectoplasm entity, watched from the side line.

"This one's going long, Ray!" Winston called out.

"Bring it on, Winston!" Ray responded loud and clear.

Winston threw the Frisbee. Ray made a jump for it, but it slipped past his fingers.

"I got it! I got it!" Slimer shouted as he raced after it.

Peter Venkman was resting on a park bench when he was woken up by the Frisbee landing on his face.

"Ow! Hey, do you 'kids' mind?" Peter scolded. He violently tossed the plastic disc aside. "I'm trying to relax here."

"Sorry, Peter," Slimer said.

He retrieved the Frisbee and flew back to Ray and Winston. Just as Peter was about to lie back down, he noticed a pretty woman walking his way.

"Well helloooooo, nurse!" he exclaimed.

Peter jumped off of the bench and approaches the woman.

"Excuse me," she addressed him. "I'm looking for a Dr. Venkman."

"I had a dream that an angel was gonna come looking for me. I guess Walt Disney was right about dreams coming true."

"I hate to burst your bubble…Mr. Venkman? But I'm not an angel. I'm a CEO. My name is Amanda Prince and I've come to speak to you about a work related problem."

"You and pretty much all my dinner dates."

"I represent the Fazbear Entertainment Company. I'm sure you remember one of our supervisors called you about an incident two years ago."

"Did you say, 'Fazbear'?" Ray asked as he and Slimer ran over to her. "As in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza?"

"That's right, and now we're asking for your services again."

"Nah-ah!" Peter shouted while he waved his arms. "No way! We are NOT going through that nightmare again!"

"I'll pay you double what we gave you last time." She handed them a business card with her phone number on it. "And if you have further need of my assistance, give me a call."

"Let me go and get my Proton pack," Peter responded as he gleefully took the card, only for Ray to have swiped from his hand in the blink of an eye and slipped into his pants pocket.

Chapter 2:

Three days later, Ecto-1 was parked in the lot in front of the Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria. On the outside, the restaurant had been given a fresh coat of paint. The sign with Freddy the Bear's face welcoming guests with a big smile and wave of his left hand illuminated against the near pitch black night sky. A wide banner, reading "Re-Reopening Soon," hung over the front entrance.

Inside the restaurant, the Ghostbusters were scouting about the dimly lit dining area. Egon held the PKE Meter up towards the stage where the newly refurbished animatronics stood. Freddy Fazbear was at center stage and holing a microphone. Bonnie the Bunny was at his right side posed as if he was about to strum his red triangular electric guitar. Chica the Chicken was Freddy's left side holding a pink cupcake on a platter. Her once massive jaws that stuck wide open had been replaced with a more sturdy beak.

"I don't like this, guys," Peter quavered. "Those things could come alive at any moment and try to mangle us."

From within the secret room, the pink vixen animatronic awoke to the sound of voices. Back in the dining area, Ray put his hand on Peter's shoulder.

"Com'n, Peter! This is easy money," he responded. "These animatronics aren't possessed anymore. We're making a boat-load just to double check, and then we can go home and cuddle up in front of the TV with a bowl of popcorn."

"You may have to catch your show on a re-run, Ray," Egon speculated while he looked at Ray and Peter. "I'm reading two class-5 specters on PKE meter…but it's not coming from the animatronics."

"So where is it coming from?" Winston asked. Before he can get an answer, the sound of metal hitting the floor was heard coming from the kitchen. The Ghostbusters rushed in through the door. Winston saw a wrench on the floor and picked it up. "Whoever – or whatever was in here obviously didn't want to get caught."

The PKE meter reacted wildly with blaring sounds and lights.

"I believe it's still here, Winston," Egon responded. He and the others followed the signal back into the dining area. He held the meter up to the wall while Ray and Winton felt around for a hidden door or trigger to such. Peter waved his neutrino wand left and right as he stayed close to Egon. At last, they stopped in front of the door labeled "Restricted! Employees Only!" Egon carefully turned the knob while Ray, Peter and Winston held up their wands.

The door swung open with a slight creek. Single step by single step, the Ghostbusters treaded through the doorway and down the hall. When they came to the hidden room, they saw the yellow bear suit sitting upright against an arcade cabinet.

"Ah sweet!" Ray shouted joyously as he placed his wand back onto his pack. "The other place had just masks, but here they have a whole costume!" He picked up the suit and is about to put it on, but then quickly pulled his head back and dropped the suit again. "Ugh! Smells like someone died in there!"

"They probably ate some of your family recipe cooking," Peter remarked.

Ray shots Peter a nasty look as Winston smirked trying to hold in his laughter. Egon held the PKE meter up over the yellow bear suit. The wings extended to their fullest length and the meter buzzed at its highest pitch

"This is definitely a source of energy," Egon stated. "Let's take this suit back to the firehouse so I can fully analyze it."

"Egon, that's stealing," Winton objected. He playfully wagged his finger at Egon. "Stealing is bad."

"So is letting a ghost roam freely around a restaurant made for hosting children's parties."

"Wait!" shouted Ray. "Didn't you say there were two class-5 ghosts?"

"Hey, one class-5 ghost is already one too many," Peter proclaimed. "Let's just take this one with us and get out of here."

The Ghostbusters took the yellow bear suit outside the restaurant and securely loaded it up into Ecto-1. As soon as they were seated in with their seatbelts strapped on and the ignited the engine, the pink vixen animatronic appeared with the clinging Marionette on the roof of the car.

Chapter 3:

Three more sunrises came and went when Ecto-1 pulled into the Firehouse garage. The pink vixen carried the Marionette off of the car just as the four Ghostbusters exited the vehicle.

"Home sweet home," Winston praised with open arms to his surroundings.

"Yeah, "added Peter. " Tonight, I get to sleep in my own bed instead of sharing one with Ray."

"Hey, I'm not the one who snores like a chainsaw!"

Just then, Janine walked in with Slimer floating close behind. They were carrying bags loaded with groceries in their arms.

"About time you fellas got back," she snarked. "I've been babysitting Slimer for about a week."

"Hey!" Slimer responded offensively. "I'm no baby!"

"On the plus side, the answering machine has been doing my desk work for me."

The sound of radio static suddenly filled the entire garage.

"I think you left radio on in the car, Peter," said Winston.

"I could have sworn I turned it off," Peter responded in confusion. "Wait a minute!" He held up the car keys in his hand. "How's the radio running when the engine is not?"

The Ghostbusters looked inside Ecto-1 and saw the pink vixen was sitting there looking at them with its gapping jaw wide open. Its disfigured and mutilated body occupied every seat the car. Everyone screamed as Peter, Winston, Egon and Ray rushed to the trunk. They opened it to retrieve the proton packs, only to have had the Marionette jump scared them with an earsplitting shriek. It flew out and wrapped it's arms all around Peter's body.

"GET IT OFF!" shouted Peter in fright. "GET IT OFF! IT'S WORSE THAN SLIMER!"

"Hang on, Peter!" Ray shouted as he turned around to grab his pack. Instead, he saw all four of them spilled out and crashed on the floor as the pink vixen pushed the yellow bear suit out. Piled on the floor, the packs emitted a brief series of electrical flows.

"We can't use the packs now!" Egon exclaimed. "Not without a risk of explosion."

"But what about Peter?"

"This thing is clingier than Dana was when she was possessed by Zuul!" Peter screamed, mostly muffled under the Marionette's big hangs, as Janine, Slimer and Winston desperately pulled at it.

"I'll go get the spare pack!" Egon shouted as he ran toward his office. As he approached the door, the yellow bear suit sat there blocking his way. He took one look into the eyes of it, noticed the white pinprick-pupils looking up at him, and was too terrified to move.

"I could use some help over here!" Ray cried out. Winston saw the pink vixen loom over him, as if it was about to attack. He rushed to his large box and pulled out a crowbar, then ran back over to defend Ray.

"Back!" he shouted at the animatronic. "Get back you…demon in mascara!"

"Wait! I got an idea!" Janine exclaimed.

While Slimer continued to try peeling the Marionette off of Peter, she rushed into the room with the containment unit and grabbed the fire extinguisher. She quickly rushed back and started spraying the Marionette with foam. Right away, the Marionette released Peter.

The pink vixen grabbed the crowbar out of Winston's hand, bent it into a U-shape and let out a loud radio-static scream. All at once, everyone stopped and looked at it. For a moment, all was silent.

"So who talks first?" Peter asked, "Me or you?"

Again, it emitted more radio-static, only not so loudly. Ray now looked at it with a curious expression.

"Is it…is it trying to say something?" he asked.

"Slimer, can you try talking to it ghost-to-ghost?" Janine asked.

"Ooh, alright. I'll try," Slimer responded. He floated up to the pink vixen with a big wide grin and a wave of his hand. "Hello." It let out only more static. Slimer scratches his forehead with his finger, and then shrugs in apathy. "Oh well. I tried." He turned around just in time to see the Marionette float up to him. It unleashed a sound like that of a child moaning. Slimers eyes grew wider in delight. "Ohh!" He nodded, and then floated back to Janine and the Ghostbusters, and explained everything in his own language.

"He says they're trying to ask for our help," Ray interpreted.

"Are you kidding?!" Peter and Winston asked simultaneously.

"Nope. According to Slimer, they just want to see their friends."

"Since when did we become their friends?" asked Winston.

"Not us! The four kids that we caught two years ago. From the other Freddy suits."

Chapter 4:

Peter slipped Egon's molecular destabilization suit over his body as Slimer cried desperately with his hands clenched in a pleading manner.

"Don't go, Peter! Don't go!"

"Sorry, spud, but it has to be me." Peter responded. "Egon's fixing the proton packs, and Ray is repairing that pink fox's voice box. And Winston…well, he doesn't like being near the containment unit when there's a chance of it exploding."

He pressed a red button on the belt buckle of the suit and became transparent. He then looked over at Janine, who was at the control panel. Peter gave her a thumbs up and she threw a switch.

"Remember, Peter, you got one hour," Janine warned him.

"Aw, Janine! I didn't know you cared."

"Quit the comedy act and get moving!" She and Slimer watched as Peter vanished into the containment unit.

Upstairs, Ray was using a soldering iron on the pink vixen to reconnect a wire to a copper tube. The Marionette was watching him curiously, making certain that he didn't hurt the animatronic.

"Okay, the problem isn't wires or the copper," he spoke. "Let's have a look at your chips." Ray carefully pulled out the sound chip, which had a black burn on one corner. he took a whiff of the chip and, almost right away, jerked his head back. "Ooh! Burned! We'll have to get you a new one. Winston, get the car radio from Ecto-1"

Winston went over to Ecto-1, slipped into the driver's seat and unhooked the car radio.

"Peter's not gonna be happy about this," he warned Ray.

"I'll build him a new one later."

Winston brought the radio over to the work bench and took it apart. He handed the sound chip to Ray, who tried to get it into the pink vixen's head. It proved to be difficult.

"Winston, would you hand me a wrench?" he asked.

"Sure thing," Winston replied. He reached into his back pocket and pulled out the wrench he picked up at Freddy's. The marionette took one close look at the wrench and grabbed out of Winston's hand. "Yo! What's gotten into you, man!" It held the wrench up to his face and pointed to some writing on the side.

"What a minute? 'Property of Afton Robotics'? Ray, let me see that number Amanda gave us."

Ray took the card out of his pocket and handed it to Winston. He then rushed over to Janine's desk and dialed the number on her phone. After three short rings, the voice of Amanda Prince was heard over the ear piece.

"You've reached Fazbear Entertainment. This is Amanda Prince. How can I help you?"

"Amanda? It's Winston Zeddmore of the Ghostbusters, "he responded. "What can you tell me about Afton Robotics?"

"William Afton was the head of the animatronic division back in the early days of the company. He came up with all of the designs and did most of the work on them. Why do you ask?"

"I found a wrench at Freddy's with Afton's name on it."

"A wrench? No, no. He took all of his tools and equipment with him when he was laid off back in 1983. He shouldn't have access to any of our establishments."

"I don't know what else to tell you. It seems like it's his, and we thought we heard someone else in the restaurant while we were there."

"I'll have some of our people look into his whereabouts and to make sure he's not causing any trouble. I don't want him interfering with your work."

"Thanks, Miss Prince. If you don't mind me asking, why was he laid off?" There's a few seconds of silence. "Hello?"

"There was an incident that same year. During a birthday party, a child was severely injured. He was rushed to the hospital…but it was too late. The company suffered both financially and in reputation. We just couldn't afford to keep him around."

Winston's expression gradually shifted into a look of utter shock.

Meanwhile inside the containment unit, Peter had been floating about for almost an hour while scouting for the children. Along the way, he passed many ghosts who eyed him with morbid curiosity. Peter glanced at them as well. His eyes were widening with enlarged pupils. He then looked down at a floating plateau, finally spotting the four children.

"Hey, kids! I've got some great news!" he said as they watch him float down to them. "You're all getting early parole for good behavior."

"Peter, we got a problem!" Janine shouted over the intercom.

"What's up, Janine?"

"THE OTHER GHOSTS ARE MAKING A RUN FOR THE EXIT!"

"This day just keeps getting better," he remarked sarcastically. He faced the children. "Okay, kids, we're gonna play a game called 'Hightail It Out of Here!' First one who can beat the other ghosts to the exit gets a free lollipop. Now let's go!"

Peter pressed a yellow button on the belt of the suit. Fire jets ignited from his boots as he rocketed back up the four children following him side by side past the other ghosts. The children suddenly pulled ahead of Peter. He got between them and the ambitious ghosts, and then shifted the boots into overdrive. A massive burst of flames caused the chasing spirits to disperse.

"What's wrong? You guys 'exhausted'?"

"One's already coming through!" Janine shouted again.

Peter and the kids saw the ghost half-way through the exit. Acting fast, the four children grabbed the ghost by the tail, yanked it back in and tossed it away in the opposite direction. Then one-by-one, they flew through portal and out of the containment unit. Peter was the last one out. He hit the floor and pressed the red button on the buckle, returning his body to a solid living state. At the same time, Janine rushed over to the containment unit and shut the door.

"I made it out first," said one of the kids. "So where's my lollipop?"

"It's in here," Peter responded while holding up a ghost trap. "Come and get it." He opened the trap, and the four children flew right in. "Nothing personal, kids. It's just easier to carry you this way."

Peter, Slimer and Janine went upstairs just in time to see Ray finished with the pink vixen's voice box.

"Perfect timing! Did you get the children?" he asked.

"We got them right here, " Peter said while holding up the ghost trap. "How the pink Foxy's voice?"

"Mangle," it said.

"What?" the Ghostbusters all asked simultaneously.

"My name is Mangle."

Chapter 5:

Night time. Ecto-1 was parked once again in the lot outside of Freddy Fazbear's restaurant. The Ghostbusters, accompanied by Slimer, Mangle and Marionette, walked up to the main entrance. Ray and Winston carried the yellow bear suit while Peter was holding onto the ghost trap.

"Okay, so remember the deal," he said to the animatronics. "We let your friends out, they take possession of Freddy and the gang again, and you all promise not to attack anyone – especially us – or stuff them into a suit."

"We promise," Mangle replied. The marionette nodded silently.

Just as Egon had the door open, they heard the sound of an electric screw driver echoing through the halls.

"Someone else is here!" He shouted.

The Ghostbusters ran inside to the dining area and saw a man in a purple uniform dismantling the Foxy animatronic. Around him were pieces of the other animatronics. He saw everyone coming toward him and grabbed Bonnie's guitar.

"Oh no!" Slimer shouted at the site of the destroyed animatronics.

"Daddy?" the yellow bear spoke, much to everyone's surprise. "It's me. I'm inside Fredbear."

"You can talk?" Winston asked.

"This man is your father?" Ray chimed in.

"Stay back!" the man shouted as he held the guitar up like a weapon. "I'm warning you! Don't interfere."

"What are you doing?" Egon angrily asked.

"I'm fixing my mistake!"

"Wait a minute," Winston exclaimed. His eyes suddenly going wide. "You're William Afton! Of Afton Robotics!"

"I was."

"Look, just put the guitar and no one gets hurt," Peter calmly said. He took two steps toward William.

"I said STAY BACK!" In a state of panic, William threw the guitar at Peter and made a run for the secret room. Peter narrowly dodged the flying guitar, but dropped the ghost trap from his hand in the process. The Ghostbusters chased after William, who has slammed shut and locked the door to the room. They pulled with all of their might, but the door refused to budge.

"He doesn't recognize me," Fredbear sulked. "He doesn't love me anymore."

"Aw, poor Fredbear," Slimer cried while giving Fredbear a hug.

"He did this to us," Mangle declared.

With a serious glare in his eyes, Slimer clenched his fist and raised it up high. "Let's get that bad man!"

"Yes! Slimer is right, "Fredbear responded. He lifted his face. His white eyes shimmered brightly. "Let's get him!" Mangle and Marionette also raised their fists in sync with Slimer's.

Four proton beams shot out from the Ghostbuster's wands. The beams blasted the hinges off of the door. As the last hinge flew free, the door suddenly busted open. Peter and Ray duck under a table, and Egon and Winston hit the floor. Standing in the open doorway, William Afton was now armored in the yellow mechanical bunny suit.

"Hey, isn't it a little late for Easter, Will?" Peter asked.

"You should have stayed away," William answered threateningly. In a swift move, he grabbed Peter by the arm and yanks him out from under the table.

"Peter!" Ray shouted. He watched as William punched Peter in the stomach.

To Peter, it felt like being hit by a cannonball at close range. His body went limp as William tossed him to the side like a rag doll. The killer then set his sights on Ray. He lifted up the table and shoved it away. Before he could grab Ray, he felt two shots on his back. William turned around and saw Egon and Winston. Smoke streams were flowing from the tips of their wands.

"Now it's your turn to back away!" Winston shouted.

William advanced toward them at a speed faster than a normal animatronic. They fired more shots at him, which simply bounced off of his armored chest.

"I don't think he's willing to comply!" Egon fearfully exclaimed.

He and Winston were quickly grabbed by their arms and body slammed into each other. They fall to the floor unconscious. William turned around and faced Ray once again. Ray stood and held up his wand.

"Don't try anything! I've seen every Bugs Bunny cartoon there is!"

Before William could attack again, the Marionette flew in between him and Ray. To the surprise of both, it let out a machine-like roar. William shrieked as he backed away. For every step he took, the Marionette hovers an inch closer.

"No! No!" he cried. "Get away from me!"

Ray watched with confusion as the Marionette unexpectedly drove William through the kitchen door. He then looked at Slimer, who put the ghost trap in Fredbear's hands. To his other side, Mangle was using William's screwdriver to unfix her voice box. Slimer made a gibberish statement to Ray.

"Right!" he responds with a nod. "I'll wake up the others."

Insides the kitchen, the Marionette had William up against a wall. William shivered at the sight of its face until he got a good look at the animatronic arms that encased his flesh arms.

"What am I doing?" he asked himself out loud. "You're just a puppet. I'm in a robotic suit. What can you do to me?" With his fear gone and his urge to kill once again risen, William grabbed the Marionette. One hand gripped its neck with the other around its torso. "I, on the other hand, can rip you apart easier than I did to the others."

The sound of loud radio static started ringing inside of William's ears. He released the Marionette and clinged his hands to his head. The robotic bunny mask over his head failed to drown out the static as well as hindered his ability to cover his ears. He looked up and saw Mangle dangling from the ceiling with her mouth wide open. He made a run for the door, but Fredbear teleported in and blocked his escape. His left paw closed over the trigger to the ghost trap being held in his right paw. The ghost trap opened and out flew the four ghost children.

"No! Not you!" William shouted in terror.

He was too petrified to notice Slimer behind him had dragged his bottom on the floor. William was surrounded as the ghost children terrified him with spooky oohs and ahhs. What got him moving again was Slimer zipping up close to his face with his tongue wobbling out of a mouth stretching out by slimy green arms. He turned to run and ended up slipping on the trail of slime. William screamed at the top of his lungs as he crashed into the soda dispenser. Six different brands of soft drinks spilled all over the robotic bunny suit.

William slowly got up and laughs manically. Slimer stared with a look of confusion.

"Thought you could beat me that easily, didn't—"

Before William could finish gloating, the sound of springs coming loose was heard. Underneath his mask, sweat ran down his face. His eyes showed the return of fear… but not for the ghosts.

"Oh no…No!"

Crunch! The metal endoskeleton of the bunny suit crushed his entire body. Slimer, Mangle and the four ghost children watched with wide eyes as William fell to his knees. He coughed and screamed while desperately trying to pry the armor off, but to no avail. His body finally collapsed in a pool of his own blood.

From his corpse, William rose up in the form of a purple ghost. His laughter echoed against the walls of the restaurant. Slimer and four children flew out of the kitchen as William gave chase once again. Without warning, he was caught in four positron beams fired by the Ghostbusters.

"This guy's much easier to catch as a ghost," said Peter.

Marionette and Mangle carried Fredbear out of the kitchen. Still holding the ghost trap in his paws, he hit the trigger switch again.

"Sorry, daddy." Fredbear softly said as he watched William's ghost being pulled into the trap.

He tried the claw away, but the energy of the vacuum was too great for him to break free. With the purple man finally caught, the four children rejoiced by dance floating in a circle with held hands.

"I guess they're happy to be free again," Ray commented as he watches them. He and the other Ghostbusters then looked down with sad faces at the broken animatronics . "Too bad that we can't keep our promise to them now."

"Don't be sad," one of the ghost children spoke.

"We forgive you," another added.

"You've given us something even better," a third one said.

"Closure," the last one concurred.

Still holding hands, the four souls transformed into balls of light. The souls inside of Fredbear and Marionette emerged and joined them. They take one last look and cheerfully waved at the Ghostbusters, and then transformed into light spheres as well. The lights came together and filled the entire place. The Ghostbusters shielded their eyes until the light faded away.

"Where did they go?" asked Winston.

"To a better place," Egon responded.

"Hey, how come Mangle here didn't go with them?" Peter asked.

"Well, Mangle's not a possessed animatronic," Ray answered. "She's simply artificial intelligence." Mangle simply smiled and nodded.

Epilogue:

One rainy day a few month's later, Winston was sitting on the couch and watching TV when a commercial made a beaming smile form across his face.

"Hey, guys! Come in here!".

Ray, Peter, Egon, Janine and Slimer all gathered around the couch. The commercial played out showing Freddy and the gang fully repaired and operational.

"Hey there, kids!" Freddy exclaimed in a cheerful voice. "Are you hungry for some fun and pizza? Then join us at the grand re-opening at Freddy Fazbears Pizza! Take advantage of our grand re-opening offer. $5.99 large pizza with any toppings with a purchase of a large drink AND twenty free game tokens to the first one-hundred children. "

As the commercial continued playing, the other animatronics were also shown. Bonnie was jamming on his guitar, Chica was serving cake to a birthday group and Foxy - along with a fully repaired Mangle - was joined by some other kids as they sang and danced to a jaunty tune.

"Meet my old friends : Bonnie, Chica and Foxy. And say hello to our new friends, Mangle and Marionette."

The commercial then showed the Marionette with a new friendly looking face and a new body made of blue fabric and white stripes. A friendly pair of eyes completed his new look. With strings attached to a control bar, he too was dancing merrily.

"Join us at Freddy Fazbears Pizza…" Freddy continued. Soon, the other four animatronics gathered around him as they simultaneously chanted, "Where fantasy and fun come to life!"
