Third person's POV
Next day
"Breaking News"
"There have been several explosions happening around America, Italy, and Russia. All of them were reported to be illegal weapon manufacturing plants, warehouses, and mansions allegedly belonging to the crime lord Robert Doru. The reason behind the explosions is yet to be found. Furthermore, police are searching for Robert Doru, and as civilians, you can help by reporting him if you see him or have an encounter with him. He is known to be armed all the time so be careful America,"
"He's hiding in Skid Row. There are two busted gaming places next to each other and in the middle of a small alleyway. The dumpster can hide the entrance to a dark alley that follows downtown. We can destroy any of the pathways because of the people," Rose told them turning off the TV.
Her eyes didn't hold any emotions, she had just murdered more than 400 people and destroyed millions worth of properties, a one would say she had turned worse than the devil, her father.
Maybe she has!
"How do you know?" Ibrahim asked.
She didn't say anything but took out a knife, (or maybe a dagger) that was inside a ziplock bag drenched in blood.
Blood of Jesse!
"The lab sent it to me a second ago. They identified the DNA as Jesse's but they found out Robert's one in the blood. Through that, we can trace both of their whereabouts by adding the DNA details to this application."
She turned the laptop towards them, it was obviously a dark web. It showed the pictures of both father and son, their location, and even their condition.
"Did you make this 3 years ago as well?" Her heart shrank as Dimitri asked her. His voice didn't sound as usual, or flirty or at least dangerous. It was filled with doubt and disgust.
"No, just 1 hour ago," She replied in a monotone, without meeting his eyes.
"They are staying together," Ibrahim said ignoring both of them. She nodded.
"He doesn't have many men left, and he or his son can't leave. He's keeping them all together, expecting an attack," She said.
"Is that dump can the only entrance?" Ibrahim asked again without looking at her.
"No, there is another entrance in downtown. The Coulton building is the least powerful compared to all the others, but it leads the way to his biggest hiding place. It's more like a prison for all his prisoners," She said.
"Then we'll take that way," Dimitri said.
She gulped and closed her eyes. And let out a deep sigh.
"I wouldn't recommend it," She said. They both raised their eyebrows.
"The only thing he can guess right now is that I know the place. And he's most likely expecting you to be there. All his remaining people must be at both sides," She said.
"How many does he have?" Ibrahim asked.
"Around 55 people, all of them are armed with a dagger, some with a sword, guns and among them 20 had AR 25," She said.
"We'll take 200, and 100 comes with me through the downside and another 100 through the dumpster," Dimitri said.
"Good, we'll take all the weapons we can use. And most importantly smoke bombs, Ibrahim said opening the digital map around the place.
"So the dumpster is here, and the path starts from right under it. The people around the area were scared of him then and must be more now because he's a psychopath," Rose said getting up and coming closer.
"We can have the police's help for that," Dimitri said.
Rose didn't say anything as she was busy finding their system.
"The tunnel starts from here, but I suspect there won't be any security right there, there'll be more like a tracking system, it will count the number of people entering using the body warmth. It'll make it easier for them to plan and attack," She said.
"Anyway to stop that system?" Ibrahim asked her.
"Yes..." She said.
"But?" Dimitri asked.
"There is a way to stop that system but to do that I must be at least 200 meters closer to the tunnel," She said.
"No," Ibrahim said without giving a chance to explain further.
"If that is the only way, we'll fight," Dimitri said.
"If I get the tracking system down, they will not even have time to prepare for the fight, most of them will come to attack and then you can go through the other way using that as an opportunity," She said looking at them pleading with her eyes.
Both of them didn't tell anything as they didn't want to change their mind.
"Baba please, I made a mistake and so many of our men and women died in vain, please let me correct it. Please. I'll stay with 50 bodyguards if you want me to," She pleaded.
They shared a look. The tension was obvious and she hated how the two most powerful men could communicate like this.
"Fine, you will be there with bodyguards but within 200 meters away with all the security. You will arrive after we do. We will disguise as civilians and so should you," Dimitri said and she nodded.
...
The plan was settled, and the men were ready. Eddie will not come and all of them settled to give 25 bodyguards to Rose. Dimitri still didn't talk to her and she didn't know what to tell him either but the silence between them, the distance between them was killing her.
She knew she was responsible for their deaths and she hated herself more than anyone. But if the mission was going to end today, then she knew she must talk to him. She couldn't lose him, if it meant apologizing for thousand times, she would.
As she waited in front of his door, she took a deep breath before knocking.
She had to wait for a few minutes before the door opened.
It was obvious that Dimitri didn't expect her to be there. And a part of him couldn't believe she would come to him after everything. As he looked at her, he knew that a huge part of him blamed her for what happened but then, it was Robert who attacked.
"Can I come inside?" She asked. His heart started beating louder, previously she didn't knock. She didn't ask for permission to come inside, she knew her door would always be open for her but now she doubted it. And that thought crushed his heart.
He opened the door more and stepped aside. She came inside and stood in front of him. Millions of thoughts in their mind.
"Do you think, we'll be able to kill him?" She asked. He sighed.
"Yes, today will be his last day," He said. She nodded.
There was a heavy silence followed. Both of them didn't know how to break it.
"Do you... Do you think you can forgive me? For what happened?" She asked him. He looked into her eyes.
Is there any reason to forgive her? Or is there any reason not to forgive her?
"What else are you hiding from me?" He asked her. She smiled softly.
He was always able to read her.
