Chapter 26 Tangled web
Sean watched as Jack and Kimiko were in a Showdown and with the former having a huge advantage since his new Wu the Jet Bootsu defied gravity.
"Seriously how did Dashi come up with this stuff?" Sean asked with Dojo on his shoulder
"Eh, he was creative...And used another Wu to help make them." Dojo said before Kimiko lost and lost her Wu while Jack got it and the Monkey staff.
"Oh boy." Sean said.
Soon the group was on Dojo who took on the form of a boat.
"BRRR! This Water's cold. I'm telling ya. I don't know how my cousin Nessie stands living here." Dojo said.
"Wait your cousin is the Lochness monster from your universe?" Sean asked.
"Yup. Course if you ask me she likes all the attention. Hey look it's the Lochness Monster!" Dojo said making them laugh.
"Hey look it's the Lochness Monster!" Someone yelled from a distance.
"See?" Dojo deadpanned making him chuckle before seeing Kimiko pouting.
"Oh Kimiko. Do not feel bad." Omi said.
"I don't. And I don't need your pity either." Kimiko said as Sean was about to say something.
"I was merely going to point out that you cannot expect to do better as you are a girl." Omi said making them both widen their eyes.
"Oh by the Creators on high. Tell me you did not just fucking say that?" Sean begged.
"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY!" Kimiko roared enraged.
"Since we met, I have been studying all about girls from this 11th century tome." Omi said pulling out a book.
"The ancient guide to females...Are you fucking kidding me?" Sean asked in disbelief. (Hello! This is the 21st Century not a thousand years ago dumb shit!)
"Oh no. It says girls are meant to do what a man says without hesitation or resistance." Omi said.
"Oh shit." Sean said as she grabbed him before holding him under water as he struggled to get back up.
"Whoa girl!" Raimundo yelled pulling her back as Omi gasped for breath.
"Omi...Don't ever call me your friend...EVER!" Kimiko roared sitting down as Sean rubbed her back for a minute before glaring at him.
"What did I do wrong? The book says..." Omi tried to say.
"Uh Omi...None of that is even remotely true. Just some sexist comments by some guy who clearly can't get a date." Clay said.
"Yeah, I mean...You gonna tell that to the other girls we know? Like Kretea?" Raimundo asked shuddering. (Oh god. I can imagine in real life if he ever said that to the female version of Kratos. There'd be nothing left to bury)
"Besides this is the 21st century not the 11th. So clearly this crap is outdated. And if you go around spewing this nonsense...I guarantee you no one is gonna like you since it's pure sexism and no one who's human likes that." Sean said.
"But the book is clearly correct. I have also seen videos of this." Omi said.
"We're those during the 50's or the 40's?" Sean asked.
"They were black and White." Omi said.
"I'll take that as a yes. Those movies aren't facts. Just Sexist idiots who think they're better than women." Sean said.
"But men are better. After all when was the last time there was a female Leader? Answer...Never." Omi said proudly before feeling a shadow over him making him look and gasped seeing Kimiko was black flames behind her.
"Oh shit." Sean said amused as Omi screamed as he was beaten to death.
"Wow. Reminds me of Wuya back in the day." Dojo said shuddering before shaking badly. "Shen Gong Wu Alert!" Dojo yelled.
"What do we got now?" Sean asked before Kimiko pulled out a scroll while Omi was on the floor bleeding and out cold.
"The Tangled Web Comb." Kimiko said seeing it wrap around a dummy.
"Let's get going then." Clay said.
"We're already here. It's right down below us." Dojo said.
"Wait seriously?" Sean asked seeing a glow down below. "What are the fucking odds?" Sean asked as Kimiko dived down to get it.
Coming up she had it.
Later
"Omi...I am greatly disapointed in your behavior to your fellow dragon simply because she is a woman." Master Fung said.
"But it is true though. The book says." Omi tried to say.
"A book is not solid fact young monk. As time moves forward many things change. Including peoples place in the world. And if you cannot accept this...Then perhaps we should reconsider if you are truly honorable enough to be a Xaiolin Dragon." Fung Said leaving which shocked him.
"Dumbass." Sean said leaving.
Kimiko was outside training kicking several dummies before burning them to dust as the head of the last one rolled to him.
"Let me guess. You can't kill Omi so you're pretending the dummies are him." Sean said making her sigh.
"I can't believe he would say something so sexist and think it's ok. Your people never thought girls were the lesser sex did they?" Kimiko asked.
"Hardly. In fact one of Mathayus top warriors during our very first war in the beginning of our universe was a woman and she killed millions of our enemies during that time by herself." Sean said.
"Thats what I'm saying. Even a woman can be a good fighter. So why can't he see that?" Kimiko asked not knowing Omi was listening to them.
"Well, to be fair he has been raised alone by the monks with no girls around so in his young but ego clouded mind he thinks he is always right and never wrong. A wise warrior admits his faults and when he's wrong." Sean said making him frown before leaving.
"I am not wrong. I am always right. He's the one who is always wrong. And he should not be the Leader of the Legion. I should be. I am stronger, Wiser, And I was not taught by evil masters." Omi said.
"There you go again." Sean said shocking him. "You just proved my point back there." Sean said.
"You knew I was there?" Omi said.
"Duh. I got good sensors on me. You always think you're better than everyone. I don't think I'm better than anyone. I think everyone as equals. You don't. Thats why next to Hank your the least liked in the Legion." Sean said shocking him as he left.
Later
The group soon arrived back in Japan.
"Home sweet home." Kimiko said.
"So whats the next Wu this time? Something unique I hope." Sean said.
"Their called the Golden Tiger claws. Think of it as like those uh...Slime bridges the Transformers use." Dojo said.
"Space bridges. And nice." Sean said.
"So how do we get in there?" Raimundo asked pointing to a palace of the Emperor.
"Knock on the front door and ask nicely?" Clay asked.
"Thats the emperor's palace. No one can just go in. We need connections." Dojo said.
"I do not need to wait for permission. I am an honorable Dragon of the Water." Omi said walking to the door.
"3...2...1." Sean counted before he screamed as he was kicked back to them with swirls in his eyes.
"Relax my Dad can help us out." Kimiko said as she called said man.
But by the conversation clearly there was a catch and Kimiko did not like it.
"Well?" Sean asked.
"We're in...Just one little catch." Kimiko said.
A minute later
Kimiko was in a Kimono that was pink with the Tangled web comb in her hair.
Sean whistled making her blush holding the fan to her face to cover it.
"You and Yumi would get along nicely." Sean said.
"She at last resembles a girl..." Omi said.
"Do not...Fucking mock me." Kimiko said glaring at him making him gulp as they went up.
"Is she still angry at my rightfully placed facts?" Omi asked.
"Omi for the last fucking time. That book is not solid fact. Just some sexist crap some fuckhead made cause he felt Women we're inferior. None of it is actually true. I've been to every universe my Grandfather made and I've seen a lot of women prove it dead wrong. If you can't accept it...Everyone is gonna hate you just like they do Hank." Sean said as they went in.
Sean scanned the room before seeing Kimiko looking at a statue of a woman with a sword fighting a Kappa.
"Now here's more proof that a woman can kick ass." Kimiko said making him chuckle.
"If only you knew. I actually knew a woman who could really give even Wuya in her physical form a challenge." Sean said.
"Who?" Kimiko asked.
"Erza's mother." Sean said.
"I've never seen her mother. I know you two have history." Kimiko said.
"Irene. She's a unique person. I can see where Erza gets her beauty from." Sean said making her smile before finding a trap door.
Heading down they heard moaning before seeing Jack in a monkey form.
"Oh no." Sean said chuckling which he heard.
"Hey. What are you laughing at?" Jack asked.
"I know you like Monkeys and all bud but seriously?" Sean asked.
"The longer he holds it the more monkey he becomes...And honest his human form is more tolerable." Wuya said annoyed.
"Let me guess. Not as focused?" Sean asked.
"Finally. Someone who understands me." Wuya said.
"Oh whatever...HEY!" Jack yelled as the Staff flew to Sean's hand making him grin as he turned human.
"Oh...I forget you can use tech inside you to use gravity." Jack said annoyed.
"Now then." Sean said heading for the Claws.
Only when he grabbed it so did Omi.
"I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown!" Omi yelled shocking them all.
"Come again?" Sean asked.
"I wager the Mantis Flip coin." Omi said.
"What are you doing?" Sean asked in disbelief.
"What Wu do you use?" Omi asked making him growl.
"Third Arm Sash." Sean said.
"The Game is truth. Whoever falls from balloons when you lie is the loser which will be you." Omi said.
"Oh now I see what you're fucking doing. Fine." Sean said.
"Lets go! XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN!" Omi yelled as the whole place changed.
Kimiko and the others were on the side along with Jack and Wuya.
"Are we missing something here?" Jack asked.
"Omi is trying to prove Sean's a liar to prove he's always right. And the only way he can or think he can do it is here." Raimundo said.
"Ah, Not capable of accepting he's wrong." Wuya said understanding.
Sean and Omi were on large balloons.
"GONG YI TANPAI!" Both yelled.
"Were you the one who poisoned your universe just so Arthur could merge the universes together!" Omi yelled.
"No." Sean said simply before it turned saying Truth which shocked him. "Ok my turn. Do you think anyone is better than you?" Sean asked.
"No! No one is better than me!" Omi yelled before it turned showing he was lying making him yell as he fell on another.
"So you do you know there are others better than you. You just don't want to accept that. Because of your fucking Ego." Sean said.
"My Ego has nothing to do with it!" Omi yelled before it turned showing he was lying again making him use the coin to jump to another as it blew. "Is your true intention to help everyone in this new Universe or to further your own gains!" Omi yelled.
"Everything I do is to help people because I care." Sean said as it turned showing he was truthful again shocking him.
"Wow his people really don't lie." Clay said impressed.
"Course they don't. I've known Sean longer than you and he's never lied before." Jack said.
"Omi's gonna lose this." Raimundo said seeing he dug himself a hole.
"Do you truly care about others or do you say that to hide your objectives?" Sean asked.
"I do care about my friends." Omi said as it turned showing he was truthful.
"If you truly do care why do you always brag about your experience and training instead of encouraging them?" Sean said.
"I have more experience than they do." Omi said as it turned showing he was truthful.
"Being more experienced doesn't mean you're better than them. It just means you have an edge. Thats not the same thing as being better." Sean said.
"And you do not think you are better than everyone else?" Omi challenged.
"No." Sean said as the Balloon turned showing he was being honest shocking him. "Do you get it now? My people never lie. Not now, Not before the Merge. Never. It's against our nature." Sean said as it turned again showing he was honest making Omi widen his eyes. "Final question. Do you honestly think you could be a better leader than me because you really think that? Or is it because you think you have something to prove?" Sean asked.
"I have nothing to prove!" Omi yelled before it turned and showed he was lying shocking him before it popped and he yelled as he fell to the bottom as everything went normal again.
"Ouch." Jack said.
Sean got the Wu before looking at Omi who held his head down in shame.
"Lets go." Sean said.
"One Last question." Omi said.
"Oh?" Sean asked.
"Did it not sicken you to learn from those who others dem as Evil?" Omi asked.
"With one exception, No. Learning is a value of life. It doesn't matter who you learn it from. Just so long as you learn what you need to know in life if you wish to do something with your life. Everyone makes a choice in life to be who they are. I could ignore everything around me and focus solely on my people. I don't...Cause I want everyone to have a better life." Sean said as they left.
Later
Omi was in front of Master Fung who looked disappointed as they were in the Grand Hall with a scrubber and bucket.
"I want the floors spotless, Omi. Spotless." Fung said firmly making him hold his head down.
"Yes...Master Fung." Omi said in shame as he left slamming the door making him sigh.
"Wow...I've never seen Master Fung so angry." Kimiko said.
"He is right to be angry. Because of my selfishness I realized how flawed my views are. Like towards you. I was wrong in every way." Omi said scrubbing the floor.
"Well, at least now you're admitting it." Kimiko said.
Meanwhile
"The most valuable lessons to man are the ones hard earned." Sean said grinning.
Thats when Padme walked in.
"The fuck do you want now? Come to criticize me about how I'm always wrong and only your right you smug little..." Sean tried to say.
"No...I came to apologize and admit you were right." Padme said.
"I'm sorry can you say that again so I can record it for your crush to hear?" Sean asked amused.
"Very funny." Padme said making him chuckle.
"Finally realized not everyone can be the way you wish?" Sean asked.
"On Naboo my parents always told me to see the best in everyone...I just never realized that some people like them existed. Such cruelty." Padme said.
"Seeing the best in people is what makes you human. But they can't change because thats who they choose to be. Certain people can be changed due to circumstances that made them what they are or their desperate for money not for themselves but for those they care about. For instance. Harvey Dent, Two Face became what he is because of a split personality inside him but the real him is good. Freeze has done everything to cure his wife and keep her alive. And there are many others we can help. But the people like Hank wants to help don't help. Some people just wanna watch the world burn." Sean said as she sat down.
"Yeah...I realize that now. But do you think there will ever be a time when we don't need armies or anything like today?" Padme asked.
"I hope so...But there will always need to be a military to be ready for the worst case scenario. Just to be ready. Better to have something and not need it. Then need it and not have it." Sean said making her see the truth behind those words.
Author's Note: Again I don't hate Omi but he needs to learn hard facts the hard way or he'll never learn anything and become hated by everyone for his actions. Now Next Chapter involves my favorite Ranger series as a child. WILDForce. But I'm gonna be gone for a while. My Dog is slowly getting better but I wanna spend more time with him since this whole thing made me realize I haven't spent as much time with him as I thought so I'll be gone for a while.
