Ruby wanted her gone. The school founders didn't trust her. She was a danger to everyone in this school and everyone Clay cared about. The answer was… simple. And she hated that. This school was never going to be a place she belonged, anyway. So then why did it hurt so much? Maybe it's time to start again. A chance to become someone she wanted to be, or at least was happy being.

Five dragonets find themselves thrust into the world with only an enigmatic 'scavenger' for aid and protection. A man awakens to find that everything he's worked for is completely and utterly destroyed, with only a group of dragonets for company. Can these dragonets keep him sane and help him gain back what he lost? Who will be the heroes' hero, and who will be the hero's heroes?

He and his twin sister, Lachia, for the most part, are pretty normal, except for Attacus being completely blind as a result of a fire accident. Everything's fine, they meet new friends all over the place. But when they undergo metamorphosis, the tables turn upside down. Work in progress.
