Hi there! Author here. Just wanted to warn you guys that there's been a rating increase for scenes of an intimate nature. So if that's not your thing, please feel free to skip but otherwise, thanks for reading up until this point! Especially you who've reviewed (you know who you are) I really appreciate you!
"Oh man!" Mark shouted as he noted the setting sun. He'd been talking strategies with the boys for the last several hours and hadn't realized how late it had gotten. "Look fellas, it's been great but I gotta get ready for tonight!"
"Have you settled on a plan then?" Yamcha asked.
"Yeah!" He grunted, pumping his fist. "There's nothing more romantic than dancing on water! She's got a break halfway through the set. I'll ask her to dance and do it then! It's sure to get a yes out of her!"
"Dancing on water?" Goku questioned, not having realized Mark could fly. He wouldn't have expected that of him.
Mark grinned and jumped to his feet. "Yeah, ladies love mushy stuff like that! Anyways, gotta run, wish me luck!"
"You got this," Yamcha told him while Goku gave him a thumbs up.
The men waved as their new friend ran off before Yamcha turned and clapped Goku on the shoulder. "I guess we better get going too, 'ey Goku?"
"Why's that?"
"We gotta change and get ready for tonight, remember?"
Goku pulled at his clothes, giving them a once over. "What's wrong with what we're wearing now?"
"You can't go dancing in swim trunks."
"Dancing?"
"Yeah," Yamcha nodded, standing. "Don't you remember the party tonight? You do know how to dance don't you?"
"Sure I do!"
At least, the ones his grandpa had taught him…but even if it wasn't one of those, he was confident he could pick it up easily. Though he still didn't understand why he needed to change. He had danced with Chi-Chi at that festival wearing his training clothes and no one had said anything then but this was probably just one of those many things he'd never understand, so he did as he was told and returned to his room.
When he got there, he found Chi-Chi standing in the middle of the space, fresh from a shower and wearing only a towel as she glared down at two innocent looking dresses.
"Oh!" Chi-Chi blushed, clutching her towel tighter to her chest. "I wasn't expecting you back just yet but since you're here, maybe you can help me, I can't decide which I want to wear."
She was torn between her favorite yellow sundress that she'd worn to Ker-ri's party or the long, flowy white one that matched better with the clothes she'd chosen for Goku.
Goku examined them both.
He really didn't know much about this sort of thing but he was sure Chi-Chi would look great in either one. Chi-Chi looked great in everything. But he'd already seen her in the first dress. He wanted to see what she looked like in the white.
"That one." He pointed to his choice.
"Really?"
Chi-Chi smiled, looking over the dress a second time. It wasn't her favorite but if Goku liked it, he must see something she hadn't. Plus it didn't hurt that this was the first time they'd be dressed as a couple.
"White it is! Thank you." She pressed a kiss to his cheek and pulled away before he could draw her in for more. "Why don't you hop in the shower. I've finished altering your clothes for tonight, there on top of the dresser."
She pointed to the neatly folded pile behind him.
"I gotta shower too?"
"You don't wanna keep smelling like chlorine do you?"
Goku sniffed a lock of his hair and frowned. Is that what that was? "Florine?"
"Chlorine. It's a chemical they put in pools to keep it clean."
He wrinkled his nose and nodded. A shower sounded good but first…
Goku kissed Chi-Chi gently on the cheek.
She blushed and pressed a hand to where he'd kissed her. "What was that for?"
"Just cause," Goku smiled. Now that he knew what that soft feeling he always felt around her was, he wanted to make her feel it too.
He breathed in deep, hoping to catch her sweet scent, but the pool smell was overwhelming.
Better go take care of that.
He grabbed the clothes Chi-Chi set out for him and went into the bathroom, humming a tune as he got his hair good and sudsy. After a quick rinse, he sniffed his hair again, and grinned when all he could smell was the scent of their shampoo.
Goku then grabbed a towel and dried off before examining the clothes Chi-Chi gave him. The shirt kind of reminded him of the one he wore with that suit Master Roshi made him wear as a kid but the sleeves were much shorter and the material felt nicer. He tried it on and was pleased when the shirt didn't choke him like the one from his childhood had done.
He left the bathroom to show Chi-Chi.
"Hey Chi…woah."
Goku paused, his eyes going wide. She was in the flowy, white dress he'd picked, with a loose braid trailing over her shoulder. She looked so…
"GOKU!" Chi-Chi screeched. "WHY AREN'T YA WEARIN' ANY PANTS!"
Oops! "Sorry!"
He ducked back into the bathroom as Chi-Chi started chucking pillows his way, and slipped on the boxers and pants she'd given him. They were a little tight around his thighs but he could do squats and kicks without any issue, so he supposed they weren't too bad.
Grabbing a towel, he thrust it beyond the safety of the bathroom and waved his surrender but when no response came he stuck his head out instead.
"Chi-Chi?"
Goku walked back to the bedroom where he found her laying on the bed with her face buried in a pillow. "Chi-Chi?" He tapped her shoulder. "Are ya not gonna talk to me?"
She shook her head no, refusing to look up. How could she? She saw everything!
EVERYTHING!
How was it even possible to walk with something that lar—no! Bad Chi-Chi! She had to stop thinking about it!
"Aw c'mon, Chi-Chi. I'm sorry I forgot. I just got excited. 'Sides, it's not like we won't see each other after we're married."
"But we're not married yet," she whined.
Goku smiled at her use of the word 'yet' and rolled her over, prying her hands away gently. "But we will be and then you can look at me as much as ya like. You could even do it now if ya want, I don't mind."
Chi-Chi whimpered. Of course he didn't. This ridiculously handsome man had to be every woman's dream and he didn't have an ounce of modesty! No…what he did have was two thick, muscular thighs and an even thicker…
"You're makin' it real hard to be good," she told him, still unwilling to meet his gaze.
Goku leaned in close enough to brush his nose against hers, forcing her attention, and murmured in a low voice, "Does that mean I make ya wanna be bad?"
Chi-Chi's ki spiked but before either of them could figure out if she was gonna hit him or kiss him, a knock was heard at the door.
"Goku? You two ready?"
"YES!" Chi-Chi cried, shoving Goku off her—when had that even happened?—and making a break for the door. She flung it open, nearly ripping it off its hinges in her eagerness to create some distance between her and the sweet temptation that was Goku, revealing a startled Yamcha. "Welcome! Come in. Is it time for the concert?"
"Not yet," Yamcha smiled, eyeing them both with confusion. "But I figured we should grab a bite beforehand since it'll go past the dinner hour. You look very nice by the way."
"Oh, thank you," Chi-Chi murmured, though she was sure she was still bright red. She took a step back to let him in and fanned herself off as Goku frowned and stepped up to join them.
"Where's Bulma?"
"Still getting ready. You know how girls are," Yamcha sighed, rolling his eyes until he met Chi-Chi's narrowed gaze. He threw his hands up in a panic. "Not that you're like that! Bulma just likes to look pretty! I mean!" Shit! "N-Not that you're not also pretty!" He stammered, backtracking. "I mea—"
Chi-Chi put a hand up, silencing him. She had a feeling if she didn't, he'd just keep digging himself into a deeper hole.
"I understand, thank you." She picked up a box from the end table and handed it to Goku. "I picked you up some new shoes at one of the shops below deck to go with your outfit. Try these on."
Goku took out a pair of brown shoes that weren't quite like the ones he'd worn with his suit as a kid but also didn't look anything like his boots. He grabbed some socks and put them on. They fit but they weren't as comfy.
"Can't I just wear my boots?"
"Are they too small?"
"No they fit fine, I just don't like 'em."
"Oh if that's all then no." At Goku's pout Chi-Chi added, "Please Goku? It's just for tonight and your boots won't match. Besides, at least you won't be wearing these."
She held up a pair of strappy looking sandals with tall heels that left him confused but intrigued as Yamcha elbowed him in the side and grinned.
"C'mon Goku, don't you want to look good for Chi-Chi?"
Look good?
Goku examined his reflection in the mirror and then turned to Chi-Chi with his arms spread wide. "Do I look good?"
"Yes," Chi-Chi blushed. She put a hand to her cheek as she took him all in.
She'd been too embarrassed to look at him properly earlier but now that she was, she could appreciate seeing him for the first time in something other than his usual gi. It was a shame he didn't do so more often. He was a total hunk! Then again…maybe it was better that he didn't. She was sure he had enough admirers already.
"It's unfair how handsome you are."
"Unfair?" Goku blinked, startled by the statement, before a sense of triumph washed over him. He closed the distance between them, needing Chi-Chi to elaborate. "How so?"
Chi-Chi's blush deepened as she realized her mistake. The man was already more charming than she could handle most days, he didn't need her adding fuel to his fire.
She pried his hands off of her and took a step back. "It just is."
"Bu—"
"Who's hungry?!" Yamcha interrupted, desperate to break the tension. It was fun needling Goku but he didn't want to be a third wheel.
At the mention of food, Goku straightened and raised his hand up high. "I am!"
"Just a second!" Chi-Chi added, hurrying to fasten her shoes before stepping over to the vanity to grab a simple gold pendant and some small hoop earrings that she'd purchased from the shops earlier.
Goku shuffled closer to investigate.
"I didn't know ya wore stuff like this," he murmured, tapping an earring after she'd latched it in place.
Chi-Chi smiled, eyeing him oddly. "Of course I do. It's not practical on a training journey like the one we're on but I still like to dress up when I can."
"What do ya like most?"
"What do you mean, like jewelry wise?"
Goku nodded.
"Well…there are a few pieces I own that I love but I'd say I generally favor earrings best," she decided, cupping the pair she currently wore. "I can wear them during all of my day to day activities without worry, whereas a necklace or bracelet might get caught on something." Chi-Chi looked at him curiously. "Why do you ask?"
"No reason!"
Goku shrugged, trying to act casual, but Yamcha knew what was up.
He elbowed his friend in his side and grinned. "I see what you're doing!"
"What's that?" Chi-Chi asked.
"Nothing!" Goku grinned, his smile shining a little too brightly. "Yamcha's just messin' around, ain't that right, Yamcha?" He slapped his friend's back, knocking him to the ground. "Oops! Sorry! I forget how much stronger I am sometimes."
"R-Right," Yamcha wheezed as he climbed to his feet. "I…I guess I deserved that."
"What? Why?" Chi-Chi questioned but Yamcha just waved her off, refusing to explain further.
She turned to Goku but he just continued to smile that same suspiciously bright smile, so she decided to just let it go and slipped her arm around his instead. "Ready?"
"Ready!"
Yamcha led them to one of the upscale restaurants on the ship, to which he'd made a reservation, and gave his name to the maitre'd who then seated them at a table with a view.
Chi-Chi sighed as she looked out the window, admiring the setup on the main deck with how it looked against the backdrop of the sea. "It looks wonderful."
"It sure does!" Goku agreed as he studied his menu. He turned to the waiter. "I'll have one of everything, please!"
"We are not a buffet," said the snooty looking man with such disgust that Yamcha felt the need to step in.
"We're aware but my friend here can eat a lot." He slid a wad of cash towards the waiter. "Please, just bring him one of everything."
The waiter eyed the money with a look of disdain, but took it without another word and walked away, passing by the bar where a lone blonde man sat watching their table.
"Excuse me," he called, grabbing the waiter's attention. "I was hoping you would send this drink to the lady over there."
He gestured to the glass intended, with its bubbling pink liquid, making the waiter scowl.
He knew for a fact that they didn't serve anything like that!
"If you wish to send the lady a drink you must order a new one. We will not serve whatever backwater swill you poured from your flask just because you've borrowed one of our glasses."
"Oh but I think you will," Sagojo hissed, allowing his eyes to glow from beneath their disguise. He could feel the man's mind go blank, falling prey to his persuasion, and soon he was nodding and picking up the glass, intending to deliver it right then, but Sagojo held him back. "Bring it with the rest of their order."
There was no need to draw attention to it.
The waiter nodded and did as instructed, bringing the table their drinks, including the one from Sagojo, as the first of several plates began to arrive.
"I didn't order this," Chi-Chi told him when he placed the drink in front of her, but the waiter simply walked away, much to the group's confusion.
Goku shrugged and took it from her, "Must be for me then."
He tossed it back with a single gulp and smacked his lips at the tasty treat before returning to his food, as the others shrugged and did the same.
Sagojo fumed from across the room.
That concoction had taken several weeks to brew! It was supposed to drug the girl and force them to return her to her room where she would be alone, but that idiot had drank it instead! And with the way the man ate, he knew at most it would just make him tipsy—if even that much.
Sagojo tapped his fingers against the counter as he thought up new plans, not noticing the angry woman storming her way into the room.
"There you three are!" Bulma growled, stomping her way over to them wearing a sparkling ice blue dress that showed off her legs. "How could you just leave me again!"
Yamcha ran his hands through his hair, feeling another headache coming on. "You told me to! Don't you remember? You said you'd cancel our fun later if I knocked on your door again and that you'd come find me when you were good and ready!"
"That didn't mean you were supposed to come here without me!"
"You knew we had reservations," he argued. Not willing to let her get her way this time. "Besides, if we had waited, Goku would still be eating by the time the show started."
"So what am I supposed to eat?!"
"You should have thought of that before taking your sweet time. What took you so long anyways? Fall asleep?"
"No!" But by the blush on Bulma's cheeks, it was fairly obvious that was what had happened.
Chi-Chi sighed, rubbing her temples. "Please sit down. I ordered a little something for you to go, it should be here in a few minutes."
"Oh…well, fine then!" She took her seat with a hmph and looked away, not having expected anyone to think to order her a to go plate, least of all the woman she was so set against. "At least someone is considerate around here!"
"You're welcome," Chi-Chi added in a low, dry tone, so quiet the others couldn't hear her, but Bulma did. The other woman's cheeks flushed a deep, deep red but she acknowledged her point.
"Thanks."
Chi-Chi nodded and took a sip of her drink as the waiter brought the to go plate.
It was then that Goku, who had just finished the last of his food, looked up and asked the one question that would make them all shout.
"Is that for me?"
"NO!"
o0o
"Oh Goku!" Chi-Chi smiled, bouncing slightly as they waited for the music to start. "This is so exciting. I've never attended anything like this before."
Her people threw fairs and festivals but they were casual, relaxed events; and the few affairs of other kingdoms she'd visited had been dull and stuffy. On the other hand, everything here seemed like something out of one of those dramas she sometimes caught her maids watching. So elegant and classy!
"That's not surprising," Bulma huffed, recalling the barbaric conditions the girl came from. "I'm more surprised that you were able to find something Goku would wear that wasn't another training uniform."
She scrutinized both of their outfits but paused when she realized she'd seen Chi-Chi's dress before.
"Hey! That looks like the latest fashion design from Mahtel!" Bulma gasped, pulling at Chi-Chi's dress. "It's not even supposed to be available on the market yet! How'd you get this?!"
Chi-Chi gently pried herself free from the other woman's clutches. "My friend gave it to me."
"Someone in that tiny kingdom of yours has connections to a top name fashion brand?"
"Something like that," Chi-Chi muttered, just as a beautiful woman with dark hair and light blue eyes came out onto the stage.
The crowd cheered as the woman waved and stepped up to the microphone. "Hello everyone, I'm Miguel Angel and it's so lovely to be here tonight here with you all. I want to start tonight's show with one of my favorites, and I think it's yours too, so maybe join me and sing along if you know the words."
A slow sweet melody started up as Miguel took one last deep breath and began.
"Late at night when all the world…is sleeping, I stay up and think of you. And I wish on a star…that somewhere you are thinking of me too…"
"Oh she sounds like an angel!" Chi-Chi sighed with a smile before turning to Goku. "Dance with me?"
"Okay! What do I do?" he asked, looking around. He thought there were some people dancing but it wasn't any type he'd seen before.
Chi-Chi giggled and grabbed his hands.
"Nothing fancy," she promised, moving his hands to her waist before wrapping her arms around his neck. "Now we just gently rock back and forth like—ouch!"
"Sorry!"
"It's okay! Just—ouch!"
"Sorry!" Goku pulled away with a frown. "I guess I'm not very good at this type of dancing, huh?"
"Nonsense!" Chi-Chi argued. "You just need practice…but until then…" She stepped on top of his feet and smiled. "Now you can't step on my toes."
Goku smiled, his eyes going soft as he looked at her. Leave it to Chi-Chi to help him find a way to join in. "Thanks."
"Any time," she promised, leaning up to kiss him softly.
"Now I'm dreaming, with you tonight, 'til tomorrow…and for all of my life! And there's no where in the world I'd rather be…"
…
"I can't believe what I'm seeing!" Bulma muttered.
"I know, right? I never thought I'd see the day when Goku was going gaga over a girl!" Yamcha laughed.
"You make it sound like a good thing. We don't even know her!"
He shrugged, not seeing the problem. "What's to know? She seems sweet and Goku clearly likes her."
"Goku likes everyone," Bulma argued. "He's too naive and trusting, she could be taking advantage of him!"
"If she is, I'm sure Goku is more than willing," Yamcha smirked.
"UGH! Of course it's just about sex with you men!"
Yamcha shot Bulma a look, as if to say 'you're one to talk', but when she didn't react as expected he sighed and slipped his arms around her instead.
"C'mon babe, he's been on his own more or less since he was a kid. I'm sure he can handle himself."
"But she's crazy! What kind of insane woman hunts a guy down that they met one time years ago to get married?!"
Yeah…that was pretty intense…but he couldn't admit that to Bulma. She hated Chi-Chi enough as it was and if their earlier discussion was anything to go by, Goku was set on her.
"She was under the wrong impression. She turned him down once she realized it had been a mistake."
Bulma chewed her bottom lip, acknowledging he had a point, and yet this whole thing just left a sour taste in her mouth.
"You just don't get it," she muttered.
"Well then explain it to me. Why are you so hung up on this?"
But Bulma just shook her head, unable to put it in words. How could she when she didn't really understand it herself?
Goku was cute but so was Yamcha. She had history with both men but one had been a boy until only just recently while the other had been a man, and yet she still thought of them both as hers. Goku her dependable side kick and Yamcha her not as dependable boyfriend. They were her boys.
In fact, aside for Launch, all her friends were boys. Krillin, Oolong…and even that perverted old man if she was being generous. But how could she not be? They were family. They'd saved each others lives more than enough times by now to be considered as such. Her brains and their muscles.
And yet now Goku wanted to add someone new. Someone who hadn't proven her worth.
Why couldn't anyone see how wrong that was?
"I need to talk to Goku," she said at last, pushing Yamcha away.
He watched her go and sighed.
…
Bulma made her way to the couple's side and grabbed Goku's arm to get his attention. "Goku, can I speak with you in private for a minute?"
"Huh?" He frowned and tugged at his arm. "But I'm dancing with Chi-Chi."
"Chi-Chi can dance with Yamcha. I need to speak with you."
"But I wanna dance with Chi-Chi!" Goku whined.
Bulma growled, growing frustrated. Couldn't he be away from her for more than five minutes?
"Now Goku!"
"Fine!" He turned to Chi-Chi—who looked just as put out as him—and sighed, "I'll be right back," before looking to Bulma to lead the way.
Across the crowded space Sagojo leered as he watched the male slipping away with the other woman.
Finally the girl was alone!
Although…
The kappa's gaze lingered on the blue-haired female, wishing he had time to have a bit of fun with her as well. However Niulang would be crossed by any delays so the girl would have to wait. He made his way to his target instead, studying her form as he moved, noting her vulnerabilities.
It would not be a loss to have his fun with her either…with that narrow waist and lush rear…
His mouth watered as he made his way closer, grinning as he watched her shiver, her senses warning her of the predator that was near.
He stretched out his hand and…
…
Chi-Chi jumped at the touch to her arm and spun to find a smiling Yamcha.
"Care to dance?"
"Oh, um, thank you but actually I think I need to get some water," she murmured, looking over her shoulder uneasily. She could have sworn she'd felt that dark force from earlier but…
Chi-Chi sighed and shook her head. She must be imagining things.
She followed Yamcha to a refreshment table before moving off to the side, where they would be out of the way, to look for Goku. All it took was a quick sweep of the crowd, his signature locks made it easy, and she was comforted to see that he wasn't too far from where they were. Though she knew he could handle anything, she still felt uneasy from earlier, as if something had been watching them.
She wrapped her arms around herself and shivered. Maybe it was just the cool air getting to her.
Yamcha followed her gaze and sighed. "Sorry about Bulma, she's in a mood."
"I can see that," Chi-Chi frowned. "She doesn't seem to like me very much."
"It's nothing personal, Bulma doesn't like most women, but in this case I think it's just cause she's protective over Goku."
"Oh?"
That wasn't something Chi-Chi wanted to hear, especially considering some of the stories Goku had told her about the other woman.
Yamcha, however, was oblivious to her inner thoughts and continued on. "Yeah, don't tell her I told you this but she didn't have any friends before him. Still doesn't really, though she has me now."
Well, it wasn't difficult to see why, Chi-Chi mused. Sure Bulma was pretty and smart but she was also clearly a brat and full of herself.
Yamcha downed the last of his drink and chucked the cup into a nearby trash can.
"You know…I guess if I'm being fair I didn't have friends either. I mean, there's Puar, but that's not quite the same thing and…there's just something about Goku, you know? He pulled us all together, turned our worlds upside down. And he was such a naive kid. I feel like an older brother wanting to look out for him but I know he can handle himself."
Chi-Chi hummed but didn't comment. Goku was indeed special. Isn't that why he'd captured her heart so easily without even trying? So much so that even seven years later she'd been unable to forget him.
She sighed, suddenly remembering the looked he'd given her earlier in their room after he'd come back from lunch. She should have kissed him properly then. Allowed him to pull away her towel and…
"So, I hear there might be a wedding after all? Goku's a lucky man."
Chi-Chi went bright red, simultaneously embarrassed to have been caught daydreaming something so lewd and grateful that it could be easily blamed on the subject.
"I'm the lucky one!" she said after a moment. "I can't believe after how things ended at the Tournament that I would be here with him now. It's like a dream come true!"
That she would get to marry that wonderful man?
Chi-Chi giggled, unable to help herself, while Yamcha couldn't help but notice how pretty she was when she smiled. Especially right now, with her cheeks all flushed and her eyes sparkling under the night sky.
"I'm gonna be the best wife I can to him…but what about you? Are you and Bulma thinking about tying the knot any time soon?"
"Huh?" Yamcha blinked. "Me and Bulma?" His blank expression suddenly morphed into a goofy grin as he imagined them on their wedding day. "Maybe!" He hoped. "Someday!"
He rubbed the back of his neck, laughing loudly.
…
Bulma found a relatively secluded space away from the crowd and turned to face one of the sources of her current frustrations.
"Goku, you can't honestly be planning to marry Chi-Chi."
"Sure am," he grinned, hooking his thumbs in his pockets, making Bulma fume.
Didn't he understand how serious this was?!
"You've only spent the last few months with her! That's not enough time to get to know someone. You're practically marrying a stranger!"
Goku scratched his cheek as he thought. "Then does that mean I don't know you?"
"What?!"
Bulma stumbled back shocked. How could he say such a thing?! And after all they'd been through together!
"Well, I've only been around you a few days here and there at a time with years in between. Doesn't that make us strangers?"
"B-But…" She did a quick calculation and cursed when she realized Goku was right. Aside from that one month they'd traveled together when they first met, they really had only seen each other a handful of times since then. Still…
"It's not the same," she argued. "We have history together! We've gone on tons of adventures!"
"Chi-Chi and I've got that too."
"You've taken her on adventures?" Bulma blanched, feeling utterly betrayed. Did that mean there was no place for her anymore?
"No," Goku frowned, shaking his head. "Chi-Chi took me on her adventures and it's been a lot of fun!"
Even if there were a few low points.
"So that's it then." If Chi-Chi was taking him on adventures, then it was no wonder Goku felt so close to her. Bulma could offer him luxuries but the most adventurous thing she'd ever done was search for the dragon balls and Goku didn't really need her to do that. "You're really gonna marry her, huh?"
"That's the plan!"
"And you've never considered marrying anybody else?"
Goku shrugged. "I never thought about it before Chi-Chi."
"That's because you didn't know what it was!" Bulma huffed, making him laugh.
"Well yeah, but…now I do."
He said it so softly and so sweetly, with a small smile on his face, that Bulma knew he was thinking about Chi-Chi and only Chi-Chi.
"I guess the early bird gets the worm," she grumbled, accepting defeat.
Goku…Goku really seemed to love Chi-Chi. Bulma could accept that. But that didn't mean he wasn't interested in her a little . What man wasn't?
"You honestly never considered marrying me at all?" She asked sweetly, laying on all her charm, but Goku's reply was like a heavy weight dropped on her head.
"Nope, why would I?"
Bulma frowned, and crossed her arms with a pout. "I guess there's no accounting for taste."
"I think Chi-Chi tastes great!"
"You're not supposed to say that out loud dummy!" she cried, smacking him up side his head.
"But it's true!"
"Ugh!"
What was it with men? Did all of them have to be so clueless?
Bulma shook her head in dismay and then sighed as she realized their conversation had come to an end. Before they returned back to the others though, she had one last thing she needed to know.
"We're still friends though, right?"
Goku frowned as he looked at her, noting the hesitancy in her voice. He might not understand just why Bulma had been so up in arms about Chi-Chi, but he knew enough to get she was worried he was rushing into things. Why she would ask this though confused him.
"Bulma, Chi-Chi…Chi-Chi's the best thing to ever happen to me." She was everything to him, but…"But so were you at one point. If not for you I'd still be all alone on Mt. Paozu, no friends, no Chi-Chi." Just a lonely little boy with no clue about everything he was missing out on.
Just thinking about such a grim life was upsetting, so Goku shrugged off the feeling and clapped Bulma's shoulder.
"We're always gonna be friends," he promised.
Bulma smiled and nodded. "We better, and you really need to start coming around more!"
"I know, I know," Goku laughed. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends but he was just always getting caught up in something or other it seemed.
"Now where did Yamcha wander off to?"
"I'll find them!"
Eager to get back to Chi-Chi, Goku turned and scanned the crowd for her but spotted a wildly laughing Yamcha first. That wasn't too unusual, he'd seen his friend act that way plenty of times before, usually around women, but…
His gaze landed on a blushing, sparkly eyed Chi-Chi.
"Found them!" Goku grabbed Bulma's arm and materialized next to their friends. "Hey there!" He grinned, smiling brightly. "Whatcha talkin' about?"
"Goku that hurt!" Bulma snapped, yanking her arm away.
"Oops! Sorry!"
He raised his hands, as if to ward her off, and accidentally knocked into Chi-Chi spilling her cup all over Yamcha.
"Oh no!" Chi-Chi gasped as Yamcha jumped in surprise.
She lifted her napkin, intending to pat him down dry, but before she could even dab him just once, Goku was snatching it from her fingers with an "I got it."
Except when he turned and smacked the napkin against Yamcha's chest, he used a little too much force, sending him flying over the railing instead. "Oops!"
"Aaaaaah!"
Two large splashes hit their ears as Goku popped his head over the railing.
"Sorry Yamcha! Just a sec!" He grabbed a life preserver with a rope attached to it and tossed it over. "Here catch!"
It hit the water and Yamcha splashed his way over, threading his arm and head through before calling up to his friend. "Got it!"
"Alleyoop!"
With one hard jerk Goku snapped Yamcha up, out of the water…
…and straight into a wall.
"Oops! Sorry!"
Yamcha fell to the deck with a hard thud and groaned as the women rushed to his side, but as soon as he spotted Goku's looming figure, he scrambled away fearing for his life.
"N-N-No! I-It's okay! I'm f-fine! See?" He patted his dripping chest, ignoring the way the water made his clothes squish, and added, "Fit as a fiddle!"
"Yeah," Goku laughed. "He's used to taking a beating."
Two sets of eyes turned to him with suspicion, while the third went wide and started searching for an escape route, but Goku just stared back at them all with a blank smile, leaving the others to question whether they were imagining things or not.
"Riiiight," Bulma murmured after a minute, but when nothing further seemed to happened to Yamcha, she helped him to his feet. "C'mon, let's find you a towel."
The two wandered off to find someone to assist them, leaving Chi-Chi alone with Goku, staring up at him with all the ease one could have when they were sure the other party was up to something.
Chi-Chi opened her mouth to demand an explanation, but before she could get out the words a cheer went up somewhere behind them.
"Yes!"
They both turned and saw a woman—the singer?—jumping into the arms of a muscular man with a large grin on his face.
Goku smiled.
It looked like Mark had succeeded.
He watched as the woman hurried back onto the stage—this time dragging his new friend along—and whispered something to her fellow musicians before addressing the crowd again.
"I'm engaged!" She laughed, flashing her ring. "Thank you, everyone, for helping to make this night all the more special for me. Since I received such a wonderful surprise, I'd like to give one to you all by singing a new song for you tonight, inspired by my new fiance." She smiled up at Mark, taking his hand, before returning her attention to the crowd as a low, soft melody began.
"Nobody laughs I'm my jokes, quite the way you do. I'm not funny half the time. And nobody sings my favorite songs quite the way you do. Even when the words aren't right."
This time it was Goku who turned to Chi-Chi and said, "Dance with me?"
"Should I step on your feet again?" Chi-Chi giggled, unable to feel anything but utterly charmed by how handsome he looked at that moment. She slipped her hands up his chest and around his neck before releasing a happy sigh.
Goku smiled right back at her, loving the feel of her in his arms, and nodded. "Yeah, in fact you should hold on tight."
"What? Why?"
"You'll see," he smirked, prompting Chi-Chi to do as he said only to gasp when he started to rise.
She clung to him tightly as he flew them over the ship's rails, only to look at him questioningly when he lowered them down to the ocean's surface, where the moon was currently reflected off its gentle waves.
"Goku?"
"I wanted to dance with ya on water," he told her, smiling shyly, as he started to sway them back and forth to the music they could still hear from up above.
"I love you madly, you're all that I want. Can we just stay here? Pause all the clocks. I know it sounds crazy…"
"Oh Goku," Chi-Chi sighed. She pressed a kiss to his lips and then rested her head against his chest as they danced along the water. "This is so romantic. Thank you."
"Thank you, Chi-Chi," he murmured, cradling her close. "Thanks for givin' me a second chance and lettin' me tag along on this trip of yours."
"Best decision I've ever made," she giggled.
To think she had come so close to missing all of this. Even in her wildest fantasies, she couldn't have imagined all the wonderful moments they had already shared, let alone being in his arms under the moonlight, literally dancing on water.
And yet…how close did she come to not being able to witness this moment? Her vision could have been marred forever from that spitting lava. Or what if Hou Yi had succeeded and Goku had been trapped under the ocean for a hundred years?
When she had started this journey, she had known it would be perilous, that it could very well cost her her life, but she hadn't realized that it might also rob her of future memories. While she'd gotten to do so many new things thanks to this trip…there were so many other precious moments that she still hoped to experience. She didn't want to miss out because she was naive enough to believe that there would always be more time to do something later.
"Goku," Chi-Chi murmured, lifting her head. "What were you trying to tell me back on Ember Island, right before your friends found us?"
"Hm?"
Goku thought back to that moment and smiled, his cheeks turning a slight pink. He hadn't had the words to say it then but he knew them now.
"Oh that." With one arm tight around her waist, he rubbed the back of his head with his free hand, as a soft smile spread to his lips. "I love ya, Chi-Chi, and I ain't ever gonna let anything happen to you. Promise."
"Oh Goku!"
Even though Chi-Chi was already in his arms, she jumped him anyway, kicking her feet out and striking something hard as she did so.
"Huh?"
She looked around for whatever she hit but with only the moon for lighting, the water was too dark and murky for her to see anything.
"What's wrong?" Goku asked, curious at her distraction.
"I thought I…nevermind." Chi-Chi shook her head, deciding it was probably a fish, and turned her attention back to Goku. "I love you too, ya big lug, more than I ever thought possible. Thank you for coming after me and stopping me from makin' a mistake."
She kissed him then, slow and sensual, running her fingers through his fluffy, soft hair, before pulling away to gaze into his heated eyes.
"Goku, take me back to our room please."
"Dontcha wanna dance some more?"
"No." She leaned in for another kiss. "I just wanna be alone with you."
Goku understood her immediately.
"You mean…"
"Mhmm."
"Alright!"
He scooped her up and practically burst back up to the main deck, where a shivering Yamcha and tired Bulma had finally found someone to assist them.
"There you two are!" Bulma called, spotting them before his feet hit the deck. "What were you doing down there?"
But Goku didn't have time to waste with them now.
"Sorry! Can't talk now, bye!"
He disappeared with Chi-Chi back inside the ship, leaving his friends staring after them in shock.
"How rude! The least they could do is say goodnight!"
"Aw leave them be Bulma, clearly they just wanna be alone. Speaking of," Yamcha inched a bit closer. "This was supposed to be a romantic trip for us. What do you say we follow their lead and go back to your room for a little fun of our own?"
Bulma smiled. She was always up for a little fun, especially when Yamcha actually took the initiative, but when she leaned in to kiss him, an awful scent assaulted her senses.
She frowned and wrinkled her nose. "No thanks. You stink of seawater."
"Oh, right. Sorry," Yamcha muttered.
He watched her walk off to find a drink and then looked back to where Goku and Chi-Chi had disappeared, feeling slightly envious.
At least someone was having a good time.
Yamcha sniffed his shirt and frowned. Bulma was right. He really did stink.
He sighed and started heading back to his room.
…
"Aaah, Goku!" Chi-Chi giggled as he nibbled her neck. He had her pinned against the door of their room but they had yet to make it inside.
"Mhm?"
"Goku…you…you hafta let me…o-open the…the doooooh!"
Why did his biting her feel so good?!
All Chi-Chi wanted to do was encourage him to keep doing what he was doing, but there were footsteps coming down the hall, so she strengthened her resolve enough to push his mouth away until she could slip out their door key and slide it into the lock.
Goku wasted no time in opening and slamming the door shut before dumping her onto the bed and spreading out on top of her.
"Chi-Chi," he mumbled against her skin as she unbuttoned his shirt. Her fingers made his muscles jump with each caress but all he could focus on was her intoxicating scent. How did she always smell so good? Smoke and wildflowers and something so mouthwatering intangible…
He kissed her again, sweeping his tongue into her mouth, and groaned, wanting more. Needing to be surrounded in everything Chi-Chi. He couldn't ever seem to get enough of her.
His hands trailed over her soft breasts and then up to her sleeves, sliding them down off her shoulders along with the rest of the top of her dress before returning to touch the pillowy mounds that so fascinated him. They were just so round and squishy, and yet somehow gravity defying. Nothing like his muscles or balls but something much, much better.
Her body was just so much fun to touch . He didn't ever wanna stop.
Goku pressed his groin against hers, feeling himself start to swell, and dragged his mouth down to her chest for his new favorite snack as Chi-Chi sighed happily beneath him.
She'd never imagined such an act could feel so good, but maybe it felt so good because Goku was the one doing it to her? It was a question for another time though, preferably one when she wasn't distracted tracing the hard planes of his muscular back with the tips of her fingers.
He was just so solid, and firm and…oh goodness why was he so good with his mouth?!
"Oh Goku," she moaned, unable to keep from crying out when his tongue swirled around her nipple.
Chi-Chi pulled him back up for a kiss but paused when his hips pressed against hers along with something incredibly hard.
"Goku…mmm…wait a sec…"
"Mhmm?"
He transferred his lips back to her neck making her giggle.
"Gok—ah!"
Chi-Chi gasped when he bit down on the spot where her throat met her shoulder, momentarily losing herself to the sensation, but then his hips pressed into hers again, reminding her of the thing she wanted to know.
"Goku!" She pushed against his chest and he finally pulled away with a pout.
"What?" he whined.
She pressed a quick apologetic kiss to his cheek but rolled him over regardless, unable to control her curiosity, and frowned.
"Goku…why are your pants doing that?"
"Huh?" He looked down at where his swollen penis was tenting his pants and up again. "Ya mean you don't know?"
She shook her head no, shocking Goku. Chi-Chi knew everything but she didn't know this? He scratched his cheek, feeling an odd mix of pride and shyness.
"It's uh, supposed to happen," he admitted. "It gets this way when I kiss ya a lot."
"It?" Chi-Chi questioned before her eyes suddenly widened in understanding. "Y-You mean…"
Goku nodded as his cheeks grew hotter. "Ya know my di—"
She quickly covered his mouth with her hands, too embarrassed to hear him say the word, and looked back down at his groin. That was that…that thing from this morning?
"But how? How is it doing that?"
"Ya wanna see?"
Did she want to what?!
Chi-Chi stared, knowing she should say no, but unable to get the word out of her mouth.
She was so incredibly curious, not knowing anything about how the male body worked, and…and wasn't this one of the experiences she didn't want to miss out on? It was a little sooner than she'd planned but…but Niulang was still out there, plotting to tear them apart. If she didn't take this chance now, who knew when she'd finally be able to?
"Chi-Chi?" Goku murmured, gently touching her shoulder. No pressure in his tone, just a comforting sweetness. It was enough to give her the confidence to nod shyly but not enough to watch him as he stood to pull off his pants.
She kept her gaze on the comforter, her arms shielding her exposed chest, until a soft tap on her shoulder signaled for her to look up and see him standing there in all his glory. And goodness did he look magnificent.
Chi-Chi might not know much but she had read at least one or two articles in some magazine to know that Goku appeared…larger…than normal. He had to be nearly the length of her arm from her wrist to her elbow! It was more than a little intimidating. How that was somehow supposed to fit inside her she had no idea and yet…
"Can I touch it?"
"S-Sure," Goku squeaked, feeling himself grow harder at just the thought. He stepped closer as Chi-Chi reached out a hesitant hand, before gathering her courage and brushing against his length with a delicate touch that made him jump.
Chi-Chi pulled back in alarm. "Did I hurt you?"
"N-No…" Goku gulped, trying to calm his racing heart. "No, it felt good. Real good," he promised.
"Really?" She reached back out again, this time touching a little more confidently, admiring how velvety it felt to touch…how silky and smooth…yet firm…
Goku's hand lashed out, startling Chi-Chi and stopping her movements.
"S-Sor…"
Chi-Chi paused.
She'd been afraid she'd done something wrong, but by the way he was breathing and the flushed look on his face, maybe that wasn't the case after all.
Something stirred inside of her at the sight of his boyish face overcome with pleasure…he was so incredibly handsome. To think she might have missed seeing such a face…
She wanted to see more.
"Goku," Chi-Chi murmured, breaking his hold on her so she could scooch back on the bed. She patted the space next to her. "Come sit."
He did as he was told, sitting back against the headboard, and waited for Chi-Chi to tell him what to do next. Except Chi-Chi didn't want him to do anything. For once she wanted to be the one in control.
She laid her hand on his thigh, feeling him squirm beneath her touch, and smiled.
"Goku," she purred. "You've been so sweet today, so wonderful." Chi-Chi nuzzled his ear. "That deserves a reward don't you think?"
Goku sat up straighter at this, making her giggle.
"Mmm, such a good boy."
Chi-Chi leaned in to kiss him, slow and sweet, allowing him to relax before she slid her fingers around his sensitive groin, making him jump a second time and whimper into her mouth as she stroked up and down his length, with a gentle but firm grip.
"Chi-Chi…"
Goku shuddered beneath her touch, loving the sensations as she slowly but surely started to increase her speed, making him moan as pleasure rippled through his body. His fingers itched to touch her and before he knew it, his arms were snaking around her like a vice grip, crushing her to him as hard as he could as she moved her hand just a little bit faster, a little bit stronger.
It wasn't enough.
He wanted more, needed more. Needed to drown his senses in Chi-Chi.
Goku gripped the back of her head and kissed her hard. Shoving his tongue in her mouth, tasting her, stealing her breath until he left them both dizzy.
He tore his lips away and dragged his tongue up her neck, nibbling, sucking, biting, loving the little moans and whimpers Chi-Chi was making, feeling his groin growing tighter and tighter. His fingers digging into her flesh harder and harder.
"Chi-Chi…"
He gripped her breasts, pinching, squeezing, kneading them roughly as Chi-Chi sighed into his ear.
"Oh, Goku…"
Everything was building, stacking right upon another, blocking out everything but his Chi-Chi. Her scent, her touch, her taste, her sounds. He wanted…he needed…he had to…
"Ah, Chi-Chi!"
"Goku!" Chi-Chi cried as Goku bit down hard into the crook of her neck. She could feel his penis pulsing as a hot liquid squirted all over her hand, but all she could focus on was the strongest man in the world coming undone in her arms, looking adorable and handsome—and so incredibly sexy—all at the same time.
She did that.
Her. Chi-Chi.
She made this man whimper and fall to pieces in her arms.
Chi-Chi smiled, more than satisfied, and pressed a kiss to his sweaty forehead. Goodness she loved this man.

Yamcha came out of the shower, nude except for the towel drying his hair, and flopped down onto his bed with a sigh. He was happy to be clean and warm but this was definitely not how he'd pictured this evening going originally.
"Chi-Chi…"
Yamcha sat up abruptly.
That couldn't have been…
"Chi-Chi…"
Holy shit that was Goku! And he was…
Yamcha ran his hands through his hair in disbelief. It sounded like he was…
"Oh, Goku…" said a soft feminine voice that shot straight to his dick.
Oh god that had to be Chi-Chi!
Without really thinking it through, he pressed his ear to the wall, hearing all the soft moans and grunts, the slight squeaks of the bed…
"Ah, Chi-Chi!"
He couldn't believe it! Goku was…
"Goku!"
Yamcha groaned, burying his face in his hands. Chi-Chi sounded so sexy and he could easily imagine she looked just as good as she sounded. He'd seen her figure at the pool earlier, with that slim waist and plush ass…and the way she looked when they talked about marriage with that beautiful smile…
He reached down and gave himself a couple of strokes before he realized what he was doing.
"Oh man, what the hell is wrong with me?!"
Goku was like a little brother to him! He couldn't think about his girl that way!
This was all Bulma's fault. She'd been nothing but a tease the entire trip. Being all over him the first day, only to practically ignore him the next. This was supposed to be a romantic cruise for the two of them but she was playing her games just like always.
"Well that ends now," Yamcha muttered. He threw on some clean shorts, grabbed his room key, and stormed out of his room to bang at Bulma's door across the hall.
She answered after a minute, looking furious and sexy as hell in just a thin robe.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" she demanded. "Don't y—mmf!"
Yamcha pinned her against the doorway, kissing her hard, sliding his tongue down her throat, running his hands up and down her body, all but molding himself against her as he thrust his throbbing cock against its favorite warm space between her legs as he felt Bulma go weak beneath his touch.
All she'd ever wanted was to have a man ravage her and it looked like Yamcha was finally going to do so.
He grabbed her thighs and lifted her up as Bulma wrapped her legs around his waist, exposing the thin panties she wore underneath, making Yamcha grin.
Faster than one could say 'Wolf Fang Fist' he carried her into the room and slammed the door shut behind them.

Goku sighed and kissed Chi-Chi a bit weakly before dropping his head back against the pillow. "Mmm, Chi-Chi…that was amazing!"
"Yeah?" Chi-Chi smiled but then frowned when she looked at the mess on her hand, his stomach and even her dress! "I'm glad you liked it."
But now she really needed to clean up this mess.
She slipped out of bed, grabbed some pajamas, and headed to the bathroom to wash her hands and her dress before returning with a wet towel to clean up Goku's stomach.
"Thanks."
He took the towel from her once she was finished, and tossed it aside, before pulling her closer for a soft kiss that slowly grew more emboldened as he pressed her into the mattress, his fingers tugging at her shorts.
"Your turn."
Whose turn?
"Mmm, wait no, Goku."
She broke the kiss and pushed him away, much to his confusion.
"What's wrong Chi-Chi? Dontcha wanna feel good?"
"I do…" Chi-Chi blushed. She really, really did. But despite her earlier realization that life was short and she had to seize these moments when she could…this was all still very new to her. She needed to ease into it.
"Next time," she promised, deciding to tease him. "Next time you can touch me."
Goku pouted a little but agreed before his look became hopeful.
"Then will ya touch me again?" he pleaded, pressing his forehead to hers.
Chi-Chi smiled and leaned in to kiss him.
