"I'm stuck."

The small girl ruminated with her papers in her hands, leaning the back against the shady trunk of the tree.

"Does your back hurt?"

The boy lying on the grass next to her joked, his hazel eyes half closed.

"Be serious, Natsu."

She replied quickly, worrying even more as her hands nervously tweaked the corners of the papers.

The young man noisily stretched his biceps and approached her, resting at the foot of the trunk.

"So, what's the problem?"

"I'm stuck. I can't continue with this stupid story!"

She commented exasperatedly, running a hand through her short, wavy, light blue hair.

"You could ask Lucy. After all, isn't she a writer too?"

The girl huffed nervously.

"Yes of course, I should take advice from a writer who is better and more fascinating than me."

Natsu held back a laugh.

"Levy McGarden, the most beautiful and erudite sorceress in our guild, is jealous?"

Levy glared at him.

"If you prefer to be with her rather than me, you can say so right now!"

She took her pen and wrote the word 'fire' in the air and immediately caught fire.

Natsu with disarming nonchalance inspired and swallowed that word, licking his lips.

"Cmoooon, I was joking!"

He pulled Levy towards him to kiss her on the head, melting the adorable pout on her face.

"How can I help you?"

He asked her, this time more serious than before and she handed him the sheets of her new work.

Natsu took some reading glasses from his pants pocket and began to read voraciously.

Levy drummed her fingers anxiously on her knees, waiting for his comment.

He pushed the glasses up on his head while thoughtfully placing the index finger on the chin.

"...so, is it so terrible?"

Levy asked him anxiously.

"I don't see the problem."

"Maybe because you took off your glasses?"

She joked, unsure of her work.

"No, seriously, the story flows well."

She looked at him doubtfully, not satisfied with his answer.

"Does it? But I should put some more of the protagonist's thoughts here, I should be more specific and make the reader understand what he's feeling."

"Here's my advice: the protagonist's thoughts, take them out."

He brought the index finger to the paper, pointing to a specific part.

"See? At this point because of what he just did I can already understand how he feels about her ib that moment. Putting so many thoughts is just a repetition of a concept that you have already expressed very well. Remove them, your narration will benefit."

Levy gently took the papers back and checked again.

"Maybe you're right..."

She repeated, now that she had a clearer picture of the situation.

"Sometimes it's better to remove than to add."

He added with a philosophical tone that reminded her a lot their very old Master.

"Ooh, I didn't think you were so wise."

She teased him with a pixie smile on her lips.

"My only other advice is... you shouldn't force yourself to write too much when you're tired."

"Mmmh maybe you're right, I should take a break a bit and-HEY!"

Natsu pulled her towards him, both of them lying down on the shady lawn, starting to kiss her on the head.

She laughed at his antics and she rewarded him, giving him a passionate kiss, even biting his lip a little.

"What's the next advice, oh wise Natsu?"

She teased him, resting her head and making small circles with her fingers on his chest.

"The next advice is... sleep."

"What? Are you serious?"

Natsu yawned loudly.

"Yesterday's mission has worn me out a bit..."

He admitted, narrowing his eyes.

"Natsu Dragneel, the strongest and most reckless mage in our guild, is sleepy?"

She teased him good-naturedly again.

"Yeah."

He muttered, closing his eyes completely.

She drummed on his chest, waiting for his reaction.

"You should take the advice of a wise man."

He said, badly imitating an old man's voice and making her burst out laughing.

"Okay okay, wise Natsu."

She held him tighter and closed her eyes, letting herself be lulled by the light breeze that caressed their bodies.

Quoting one of my favorite anime endings...'Im Alive, Im Alive, oh yeah'

I've been feeling 'writer's block' for a while and it inspired me a story about it with one of my favorite FT rare pairs. I love Levy and I hope you enjoyed how I wrote her in this short oneshot!
