Turns out they only had two days to prevent the apocalypse. And then fifty years.

"You're certain of your calculations?" Quentin asked.

"Yes." Willow nodded. "The reference was clear, there are only a few celestrial alignments that matter to them. One's in two days, which is probably why they were summoned now, whoever summoned them had to know what their purpose is and what would make it possible for them to actually accomplish it. The Sisterhood's use of celestrial alignments and the nearness of this one is too much to be a coincidence. In two days they'll try to end the world, probably using the Hellmouth or at least trying."

"Have you considered a means of stopping them?" Quentin questioned.

"My group and I have finished a Ward specific to them." Molly informed him. "We've already added it to the High School, unlike the Wards for vampires, demon Wards don't require an invitation to bypass the Ward, because an invitation isn't required for them to be able to enter in the first place."

"So the Hellmouth is secured, good and the night of the attack?"

"If any of them are still alive, then my group will be here to keep the Wards up. A coordinated attack could cause them to collapse."

"We're hopeful that there won't be any still alive in two days." Charles informed him. "We intend to kill them, all of them. And we have a way to do it. Or at least a Plan A."

"I see, this Plan A?"

"We tracked them to a cave outside town." Alex told him. "The police are currently watching it. It's a old sea cave, the ocean carved it, but an earthquake cut off the ocean access. There's only one way in or out and a cliff edge above it. It's a couple miles outside of town. Why they decided to hole up in there, we have no idea, but it makes Plan A very viable. We're going to blow it up or rather, collapse the cliff face and cave on to the demons. At the very least we'll bury them, if not kill them outright. If any do manage to survive, by the time they dig themselves out, the window of opportunity will have passed. Hopefully that means they go back where they came from, if they stick around, well large caliber bullets are extremely effective and we've yet to find anything they don't cause considerable damage to."

"Nor have we." Captain Howard agreed. "We can help with Plan A. We're very good at making booms."

"For the record, it's Buffy's birthday, or at least a few days ago it was. We promised she could push the button." Buffy grinned and nodded enthusiastically.

"I did some research," Willow said equally as enthusiastically. "A thermobaric charge would be best given the enclosed cave."

"I agree." Captain Howard nodded. "We just need to get one here."

"We already have one." Charles informed him. "For some reason Sunnydale has a National Guard Base, it's better stocked than it should be and I've yet to find out why. The Colonel at the base may be a left over from Wilkins' corruption. It's possible Wilkins managed to arrange for a base here in case something got passed him and managed to open the Hellmouth before he could complete his own plans."

"I have the authority to arrange an investigation." Agent Houston offered. "It would probably be a good idea to look into it."

"I just hope you don't pull the base." Charles grinned. "Get rid of any bad apples, yes, but leave us the toys and back up in case anything gets passed us too."

"Agreed." Agent Houston was grinning too.

"Then it's just a matter of delivering it." Captain Howard said. "We're Navy Seals, that means a boat anchored off shore."

"Also not a problem." Charles assured him. "I'm rich, several generations rich. I'll buy a boat, it doesn't have to be big, it just needs to accommodate you and your men to oversee the operation and Buffy to push the button."

"Well then, let's go get us a boat and take out some demons." Captain Howard made an after you gesture to Buffy, who laughed and went with him.

"Are you still expecting Buffy to fight your Magic hologram?" Alex asked. "The second demon that showed up at the cemetery."

"Figured that out, did you?" Quentin asked.

"It wasn't hard, in the future you might want to consider something."

"And what would that be?" Quentin asked, wondering what they'd overlooked.

"Holograms don't smell. Buffy and Faith's description of the second demon was of a Polgara, they stink."

Quentin looked amused. "I'll mention that to Corinne, I'm sure she'll take it into consideration in the future for Miss Lahaine's Cruciementum."

Buffy enjoyed making a very big boom and the Sisterhood of the Jhe were never seen in Sunnydale again. Patrolling police officers found Jack O'Toole threatening another student, after arresting him they discovered he was a zombie and his grandfather was a necromancer. Jack got a very final second death and Grandpappy got all his necromancing tools confiscated and his power bound.
