Chapter 1: Falling through a red hole?

yes after many years I decided to revise my old fanfic A girl in talespin part 1 after it wont leave me be.

and I decided to change the title to fit in my story lol

Wow! What a waste of a day!" A woman grumbled, after watching the hard rain pouring down on her window. Her family and herself were supposed to go to the zoo today. But sadly, it got canceled due to the weather conditions.

She sighed heavily and turned the TV on to get her mind off the day. She flips the few channels to find a good show until the TV shows Disney channels. And to her luck, talespin was on which it made her smile.

She quickly turned the volume up to hear it better and saw it was the first episode part 4. And it was the part where Baloo charged at the iron vulture. Also see Don Karnage panicking, shouting at his men to close the ship's beak.

The woman almost laughed when that wolf pirate tried to fight off the navy, then he quickly changed his mind when the air force started firing his iron vulture and retreated with his tail between his legs like a coward.

She tsks at his action, even though he is evil, but has stupid moments. The woman admires how Don Karnage makes her laugh with his accents throughout her childhood.

Then she heard a thunder sound coming which made her grit her teeth in annoyance. Before the thunderstorm came she hurried to look for some earplugs to prevent her from hearing thunder noise.

All of a sudden when she saw the lightning strike near her house her tv wasn't working.

"Are you kidding me?" She huffed and went over to try to get her TV to work so she could finish the show. When the woman tried to fix it, she felt the living room shake.

The woman froze. As if she did something she wasn't supposed to she'd quickly turned off her TV.

"...I think I'll try to fix it tomorrow," She muttered. "And besides I have Disney Plus in case." When the woman decided to head out to the kitchen to get some snacks, the earthquake happened again. Panicking she hurries over the kitchen for the table to hide underneath since learning it could keep her alive.

But right when she was about to go to another room, in the corner of her eyes, she saw her floor begin to form red. Her eyes widen to watch the floor turning into some portal. She gasped when she felt the wind begin to pull her body towards her. The woman tries to grip the bookshelves but her fingers slip.

She screams as she was getting herself sucked into a portal and once she was gone, the portal was gone.

Ashlee POV

I screamed as I fell out of the portal and watched it disappear from the sky. I turned my body to look down and my face paled to see the jungle below me.

Thinking fast, I find a vine to help me stop my falling. I grit my teeth as I keep falling and gripping it as hard as I can. Luckily it saved me from falling to my death I was left hanging close to the jungle floor.

Trembling, I let go of the vine while getting my heart to beat normally. I glanced at my surroundings and was stunned I was in an unknown place.

"Where am I?" I whispered. I gasped startled to hear someone rustling. Fearing it could be a wild animal I grab a rock nearby to defend myself.

"Miss? Are you alright?" A voice suddenly spoke. My eyes lit up to hear a person that I lower my weapon down.

"Y-yes I think," I answered. "Can you help me I'm lost."

"Don't worry stay where you are! I'm coming." I felt relief to find someone to help me in the jungle and hoped they'd also help me find a way back home.

When the person emerges from the bush I begin speaking. "Oh thank god you are here! I don't know what just happened. I was just in my bed and all of a sudden..." I stopped midsentence when a figure came out. And it wasn't a human. Instead it was a black panther, standing like a person with clothes.

His pale yellow eyes lit up to find me and I let out a terrifying scream. He screamed the same in startle and without thinking I took off the other way.

"I mean wait! Mamm come back!..." I didn't listen as I ran through the jungle in fright. I then quickly climbed up a nearby tree to get away, despite I knew he could climb trees. After I reached the nearby branch I hugged the tree.

"What the hell is going on around here?!" I swallowed hard. "I had to be dreaming! This is a dream!" I shut my eyes and open them fast hoping that'll wake me up. But it didn't I tried again. I even tried pinching myself, and it wasn't working.

I turned down sharply and found the same panther following me. He panted from running and looked up at me. I wimp and grip the tree as if it were my only support and watch his eyes glance at me with wonders.

"How incredible." He breathed.

"H-how can you talk?" I stammered. He looked at me funny.

"Same as you?"

I shook my head. "No you can't talk, you an animal. Animals can't speak."

He raised his eyebrows. "But you are an animal as well? Tell me are you some kind of hairless ape from distant relatives?"

I huffed, feeling slightly offended. "No im not an ape I'm a woman!"

"Please be specific," The panther almost rolled his eyes on my attitude. I sighed, calming down before replying.

"I-I'm a human."

"A human?" The panther blinked.

I nodded. "You know? Like man cub thing a bob, but a woman cub?" I watch him almost getting the picture and he rubs his chin.

"I see, but I have never seen your kind my whole life. This is truly remarkable," He then begins to climb up towards me. I gasped and almost climbed up but he spoke fast.

"Wait come down from there, I won't hurt you,"

"Give me a good reason to trust you," I gulped. "Are you going to eat me?"

He looked at me long and laughed. "Now where did you get that ridiculous idea?" I almost sighed in relief on that part and I saw him holding his hand out.

"Now come down from there, there's nothing to be afraid of," I watch him smile kindly and then I almost tip my head. Feeling I see him somewhere.

Slowly I let go of the tree and began to climb down.

When I reach down he grab my wrist to help me down.

"There you are," He sighed.

"Thanks," I replied. I almost smiled as he nodded returning his smile.

Then he clears his throat. "Allow me to introduce myself, I'm Professor Bagheera Cabot. and you are?" My mouth almost hung open.

Bagheera? Like THE Bagheera? I was so starstruck that I had trouble hearing what he was saying.

"Um Miss? Is there something wrong?"

Realizing he was waiting for my reply I snap out of it."Oh right! Please to meet you, I am Ashlee, but my friends call me Ash." I took his paw to shake while squealing inside like a fangirl meeting a real Disney character.

He chuckles. "The pleasure is all mine Miss." When he let go of my hand we heard some exotic sounds calling.

"We should leave, the jungle is not safe here," He took his pocket watch out and added. "Especially it's getting close to evening, come my plane is not far."

As we head through the jungle, I begin to ask him questions out of curiosity.

"So how many of you guys can talk?"

"Oh all of them." He replied. "But we do have others that don't."

"Oh I see," I hum looking at his badge and asking another question.

"What do you study?"

"I study exotic plants to try to find a curable medicine for the future,"

"Really? That's pretty neat," I smiled.

He chuckled. "Why thank you, I'm glad you think so. And as a hobby, I explore ruins to find exotic historians."

"Wow like studying ancient relics?" I asked. Instead of answering me, he looked ahead.

"Ah there she is," I looked over his shoulder and saw the massive plane that had a rich purple-red paint on top with creamy white at the bottom. I breathed to find a familiar golden SK symbol on it. Wait, that plane looks familiar...no, it can't be!

Once we got on the plane I was sitting on the passenger seat while Bagheera started the engine. I decided to ask him one more question, making sure it was real.

"So where are we going?"

"To Cape Suzette," He replied.

"Really?" I breathed. So it is true. I'm in my favorite series! That portal took me into this dimension. Amazing! I found my heart beating hard with excitement and was relieved Bagheera did not see me beaming like an idiot.

Soon my excitement went down when the plane took off, made me lose my breath.

"You're okay?" Bagheera asked.

"Y-yeah, not used to ride planes," I replied. He understood as he flew his plane through the clouds.

"Don't worry once we land over the city, you won't have to fly any more planes if.."

"Oh no I do like flying," I interrupted him. "I meant I'm not used to taking off that's all."

'Oh," He replied. I bite my lips when he begins asking me. "Now what in the world are you doing falling from the sky?"

"Wait you saw me fall?"

"While heading towards my destination, I found you falling towards the jungle." He explained. "Have you been doing skydiving?"

I bite my lips unsure how I can answer him. "Not really.."

"Oh? Then what were you doing out there?"

"You won't believe me if I told you," I said.

He almost chuckles. "Try me," Seeing I could trust him I was about to begin my explanation but all of sudden, we heard a gunshot. I gasped and peeked out my window and my face paled to see a small plane with a pirate symbol chasing us.

"Oh great," I heard Bagheera growl so lowly that I turned my head sharply at him.

"What's going on?" I gulped.

"Air pirates," He answered.

"Air Pirates?!" I exclaimed.

"Those fiends always take the sky every time I travel on my boss's plane. I got nothing valuable they want." I screamed when a bullet went through the plane ducking my head not wanting to get shot.

Again I looked out my window and saw another small plane and saw the owner with its grappling hook. He aimed at the wing and took a shot. After he shoots, he begins climbing down with a rope.

Then Bagheera grabbed my arm and dragged me towards one of his large boxes. He put me in a metal box which held strange plants I had never seen before.

"Stay here and don't come out." He hissed, shutting the lid.

"Wait what about you?" I stopped him but he made me let go of my hands.

I'll find a way to make them leave, stay low, and be quiet." He shut the lid before I could protest. I flinch when I hear a metal ceiling begin ripping apart.

I heard a foot landed and my blood froze when a familiar voice spoke out.

"Greetings and tribulations, fellow Professor! It is I, that Spanish-provoking pirate, DON KARNAGE!" I peeked through the small hole and saw a red wolf wearing a blue Napoleon coat bowing towards Bagheera with a smirk, showing his sharp fangs.

I covered my mouth in terror and prayed he wouldn't hear me or smell me, feeling my heart pounding hard in my chest badly.
