A\N: I love days where I can sit and write for hours. I hope you Angels have enjoyed A secret life at Ohio State University so far. I'm not sure how many chapters this will have but it'll be interesting to see how long I can write for before I get bored and move onto another story. I hope you enjoy this chapter, Angels.

Gibbs watches with careful eyes as he descends the catwalk steps as the three men walk over to his SFA's desk, he catches Ziva and McGee's eyes watching them as well, McGee discreetly reaches for his side arm while Ziva grabs one of her many knives.

"Can I help you three gentlemen?" Gibbs asks, making his presence known as he gently knocks Tony's headphones off of his head.

"What the hell boss?" Tony asks angrily before his eyes widen when he looks at the three men standing just in front of his desk.

"Steve? Paul? Coach? What... what are you doing here?" Tony's voice is quiet. Steve. Gibbs thinks.Where have I heard that name before? Then it hits him; Kate dated one of Tony's frat brothers, Steve, if he remembers correctly.

"We need to talk, DiNozzo." The older out of the three men say. Gibbs looks at them. He needs Tony with him first.

"I'm afraid I need DiNozzo with me in our director's office before you three can talk to him." Gibbs interjects with a look at his Senior Field Agent who nods in confusion.

"Why don't we all go up to the directors office?" DiNozzo suggests before walking up the steps to the aforementioned office. Gibbs jogs after him, not wanting his agent to find out this piece of news by himself.

Tony DiNozzo looks behind him and sees his boss, his two frat brothers and their old coach walking behind him. His boss looks like he doesn't want to be here and his frat brothers and coach look like they want to be doing anything else than what they're doing.

"Tony," his boss says softly, his tone just as soft as it was when he had the plague and had ordered him not to die, a calloused hand comes down on his shoulder. "you don't have to do anything you don't want to do." He says cryptically before the hand is dropped from his shoulder and is wrapped around the door handle.

Used to the boss' crypticism, Tony just shrugs and enters Jenny's office behind his boss, a gasps leaving his lips at what he sees a few feet in front of him:

Jeanne Beniot. The love of his life.

"Hello Tony." She says with a smile.

He opens his mouth to say her name when something pierces the tensed office; a sound he'd know anywhere.

A baby's cry.

His eyes widen in surprise and anger as he stares at his ex-girlfriend who turns away from him and towards the car seat at her feet.

"Oh, hi, my baby. That was a short nap." Jeanne is saying.

Steve and Paul's hands come down on each of his shoulders but he ignores them, his eyes are locked on the little green ones staring at him.

"What's her name?" Tony asks, his question is the first question he asked HER when he met her after her daughter had walked, or toddled really, onto the basketball courts in the park where he, Steve, Paul and a few other guys were playing ball.

"Emily." Jeanne answers.

"Isabelle." SHE answers.

Tears prick at his green eyes as he hears HER voice in his head after so long of not hearing it.

"Pretty name." He says. He looks away and looks into the eyes of his former basketball coach, now noticing the box underneath his arm.

"Why are you three here? Is everyone okay?" By 'everyone' he means their old team who are still in contact with each other.

"Everyone's fine, Tony, but these are yours. You should have them back." Coach says, handing Tony the box he's had for the past 15 years. Tony shakes his head.

He can't have these memories, not now, not ever, not today of all days.

Reluctantly he wraps his hands around the box and looks back into the little green eyes that are still staring at him, allowing her gaze to anchor him to the present instead of the past.
