"Alright Mr Deeoh, may I see this contract of yours for Ash?" Rosa's mother asked, having made the trip in record time.
"Of course, of course, here you are. And please call me Stu, everyone does." Stu Deeoh said.
"Alright, it looks like you have Ash for a one movie trial, and if it goes well a renewal for three follow up movies under this contract." Rosa's mother said.
"That's right, that was the plan for our previous actor and we feel it fair for our other workers." Stu Deeoh said.
"So when would Ash be doing the first movie?" Rosa's mother asked.
"This afternoon if all goes well." Stu Deeoh said. "If you all agree of course."
"You said actors get paid right, I have a bit of a debt that needs paying off." Ash admitted.
"Yes, we will make sure you're paid for each movie." Stu Deeoh said. "We can talk more money if that is an issue."
Ash looked at the number before looking back up.
"I can agree on that much, but I have two requests for this." Ash said.
"Ash, be careful on what you ask." Rosa's mother said.
"You originally wanted me as a battle consultant, meaning you wanted these battles to be realistic, right?" Ash asked.
"The more believable the energy the better is my motto." Stu Deeoh said. "Our other actors are professional trainers and will have no problem as long as you don't, but what was the other thing?"
"Riolu." Ash said plainly.
"Well of course you'll be working with Riolu, I mean these are the Riolu Kid movies we're talking here." Stu Deeoh said.
"No, I want Riolu, you want real battles, the only way Riolu and I will be in sync is if we have time to grow together, and I did originally catch him after all." Ash said.
"Very well, if filming goes well today, Riolu will be yours, no further questions." Stu Deeoh said, extending his hand.
"Sounds like a plan. So how do we do this?" Ash asked.
Outside a trailer
"Okay, I thought the clothes they gave you were bad, but this, this takes the cake." Rosa said, laughing at Ash's costume.
"Laugh it up all you want, but this will pay your debt off quicker if it goes well." Ash said.
"Right, right, sorry, go on shoot your movie Riolu Kid." Rosa said with a sarcastic tone as Ash walked off.
"You're seriously billing him for your room, he didn't land there on purpose." Rosa's mother scolded.
"But my stuff, how else am I supposed to get all my stuff back!" Rosa argued with a huff.
"I get you are used to getting things your way, but you wanted to be back here, and sometimes that means you don't get your way anymore." Rosa's mother said with a serious tone.
"He's still doing it though! What does it matter now?" Rosa questioned.
"I did not raise you to be like this, you are not the kind of girl to put someone that far into debt over something they didn't do on purpose." Rosa's mother said.
"But it will fix the roof and the floor, and replace all the furniture! And then I can sleep in my bed again." Rosa said with a happy sigh.
"If that will help you sleep at night, very well, just think about what that means to you as you wait for it." Rosa's mother said.
At the movie scene
"Alright Pikachu and Snivy, you two watch over here with Rosa, we'll show them just how a real fighter fights." Ash said.
"AND ACTION!"
"Riolu Kid, there's a disturbance at the docks, hurry there right away!" A voice said into Riolu Kid's earpiece.
"On it! Let's go Riolu!" Riolu Kid said, running towards the docks with his fighting type partner hot on his heels.
Riolu Kid and Riolu ran their way through the running crowd seeing a man in a purple and green outfit, terrorizing the docks.
"Stop you villainous scum!" Riolu Kid exclaimed.
"Ahh Riolu Kid, you're finally here, but you're too late! I Brycen Man have already set the explosives that will poison the cities water supply and cause mass chaos turning Pokemopolis into a true lair for me!"
"Not if we can stop you!" Riolu Kid exclaimed. "Riolu let's go!"
"Pawniard attack!" Brycen Man commanded.
"Bring it on! Riolu use Force Palm!" Riolu Kid called out.
"Pawniard use Brick Break!" Brycen Man said.
The two Pokemon struck back and forth, Riolu's palms glowing a slight yellow before he landed a massive blow against Pawniard sending the Pokemon tumbling back.
"You may have stopped my Pawniard, but even your mighty Riolu has his weaknesses!" Brycen Man said. "Vullaby to the skies!"
"You don't scare us! Riolu use Ice Punch!" Riolu Kid commanded
"Vullaby, Air Slash!"
Riolu dodged out of the way of the slicing air as he and Riolu Kid rushed across the docks, both diving at their respective opponents in perfect sync, Riolu freezing Vullaby as Riolu Kid managed to pry the remote detonator from Brycen Man's hands.
"It's over Brycen Man, stand down!" Riolu Kid said, holding the detonator in his hand.
"Ahh Riolu Kid, as foolish as always. This is far from over." Brycen Man said as he was lifted into the air. "I'm far from alone in this battle and you have not seen the last of me!"
"Brycen Man!" Riolu Kid shouted, as the masked villain flew off.
Later, back at the trailer
"Wonderful work Ash, I knew we made the right choice with you." Stu Deeoh said, shaking Ash's hand. "You and Riolu were incredible, even Brycen agreed with me on this."
"Who is Brycen, can I speak with him?" Ash asked.
"He's a semi retired gym leader and one of our studio's battle experts." Stu Deeoh said. "And here is your royalty check for your work."
"Thank you." Rosa said.
"Can she do that?" Stu Deeoh asked.
"Yeah, she's the one I owe the money to." Ash sighed.
"Ouch kid, sorry to hear that, but I promise we'll try and make it so you get some money in the end of all of this." Stu Deeoh said.
"Thank you Mr Deeoh, where is the next movie going to be filmed anyways?" Ash asked.
"Right here still, we have some work to do in the meantime, so come back in a few days." Stu Deeoh said assuringly.
"We will let you know when we're back in town." Ash assured.
Authors Notes on Ash's Pokemon
Riolu won't be the last non gen 5 member of the group, but I'm not going to go over exactly who else or when as those are still a bit in the air.
Snivy, I never said Snivy's gender, and plus there is still an Oshawott and Tepig out there, not just the duo from the anime.
Rosa, yes she's not a Pokemon but now I can talk a bit about her. Yes she's a brat, and a B, that is on purpose, you will learn more about her and why she is that way as we go.
