The story began one day in Hell. More specifically, the Pride Ring.
Lucifer had called Nightfright and Scarlett over to his castle to discuss about something very important.
"You wanted to see us" Nightfright asked him.
"Yes, about something that I'm sure you two can deal with just fine" he replied.
Scarlett raised an eyebrow.
"OK, what is it" she asked him.
Lucifer then informed them that him, Charlie, Vaggie and the others have recently stumbled upon the Immediate Murder Professionals or I.M.P. for short. After finding out what they do, Lucifer, Charlie and Vaggie weren't happy in the slightest. Nightfright and Scarlett watched their commercial on Lucifer's phone and even listened to their jingle.
"I'll give them this – creative idea for a business and a somewhat catchy jingle" said Nightfright.
"Yeah, but that's beside the point! They're out here contributing to sinner overpopulation problem that my Charlie is trying to solve" said Lucifer.
"You want us to kill them" Scarlett asked him.
"Get all the info you can out of Blitzø, their founder. After that…we'll see where it goes" he replied.
"Got it! Get all the info out of Blitzø then send all that info to you" said Scarlett.
"I don't know if you've noticed, but the two of us run a successful demolition business. We'll do it, but I'm not sure how much time it'll take up" said Nightfright.
Lucifer smiled.
"Don't worry, you'll be paid very well for this so you don't lose any money" he said.
Nightfright and Scarlett both smiled.
"In that case, say no more! We'll get everything out of Blitzø" said Nightfright.
"We just need to get him when he's all alone" said Scarlett.
"I think that grimoire of yours has a spell that'll allow you to spy on him…I think" said Lucifer.
Scarlett smiled.
"Thank you for informing me. It'll be easy to find out when he's all alone and then just…ask him politely to come with us" she said.
"I assume by ask him politely to come with you, you mean abduct him against his will" Lucifer asked them.
"Well, yeah. What imp is gonna come willingly with a fearsome and intimidating overlord" Nightfright replied.
"Fair enough! You're both dismissed" said Lucifer.
Nightfright and Scarlett saluted him silently and left. Once they got back to their office in their office building, they started talking about the situation.
"So, the book of shadows has a spell that can allow us to spy on people" said Nightfright.
"I did not know that. Let's try it" said Scarlett.
She opened the bottom desk drawer, which had a keyhole and key in it, and took out her grimoire – the Book of Shadows.
"Book of Shadows, do you have a spell that can allow us to spy on others without them knowing" she asked it.
The book levitated and responded to Scarlett's question, quickly turning its pages until it landed on the spell that she asked for.
"OK, now what" Nightfright asked.
"Now, honey, step back and leave the rest to me" Scarlett replied.
Nightfright stood back as Scarlett spoke the words, said the name of the person she wanted to spy on, which was Blitzø, and the spell activated, creating a small glowing glass orb. After closing the book and putting it away, the couple looked into the orb and sure enough, there was Blitzø.
"Got ya" said Nightfright.
"Now what? We assign a shadow shark to keep watch and inform us when he's all alone" Scarlett asked him.
Nightfright smiled.
"That's exactly what we're gonna do" he replied.
Scarlett smiled and with that, their plan was in motion. They assigned a shadow shark to watch the orb and inform the couple when Blitzø was all alone.
The next day…
One hour before they were set to go back to their apartment, the couple were informed that Blitzø was all alone and vulnerable.
"Perfect" said Nightfright.
Scarlett pulled out the Book of Shadows and opened a portal near Blitzø's location.
"I'll text you when I have him" said Nightfright.
Scarlett smiled and nodded as Nightfright stepped through the portal. He quickly surveyed his surrounding as it closed behind him. It was night time and he was in an alleyway in Imp City. He turned invisible as Blitzø pulled up in the I.M.P. van and got out. He just got back from the Anti-Blitzø party Verosika threw and he felt like shit. He just wanted to go back inside his and Loona's apartment and cry himself to sleep. He was walking slowly, unaware that Nightfright was now behind him.
"Rough night, Blitzø" he asked him.
Blitzø groaned and rubbed his eyes, not even bothering to turn around to see who he was talking to.
"Yeah and who the fuck are you? Another guy I screwed over at one point" he asked him.
"Oh, no! Not at all! If you screwed me over, you'd be dead by now" Nightfright replied.
That got Blitzø's attention and finally made him turn around. Just as he was about to say something, his eyes widened as he finally saw who he was talking to. He stumbled backwards, falling onto the ground as the Nightmare Demon approached.
"Y-you're N-n-n…" Nightfright cut him off.
"I believe the name you're looking for is Nightfright" he said.
"W-what the fuck do you want from me" Blitzø asked him.
"Me? Nothing, I don't really care that much. HOWEVER, Blitzø, Lucifer and his daughter recently found out about your business…and they aren't happy at all" he replied.
At that moment, Blitzø's blood ran cold and the color drained from his face. Not only did the royal family find out about his business, but they weren't happy at all about it operating. His mind and body quickly went into fight or flight mode and, while he usually picked fight, he picked flight this time. He immediately got up and tried to run away, assuming that Nightfright was here to kill him. Unfortunately, one of the pincer tentacles on Nightfright's back grabbed him by the throat and lifted him off the ground before he could get away.
"Trying to run away? That's cute" said Nightfright.
He then slammed Blitzø's head into the sidewalk, knocking him out and giving him a bloody nose in the process. He pulled out his phone and texted Scarlett that he had Blitzø. A few seconds later, a portal opened on his right and he stepped through it with a now unconscious Blitzø in tow. He handed him to two shadow sharks as the portal closed.
"He tried to run away" Scarlett asked him.
"Yep! Right when he did, I grabbed him and knocked him out" he replied.
Scarlett shook her head with a smile and rolled her eyes, her hands on her hips.
"Men, put Blitzø in the interrogation room and tie him up with chains" Nightfright ordered.
The shadows sharks nodded silently at their master and got to work. They took Blitzø to a room with a chair in the middle, a light aimed directly under that chair and a few extra chairs nearby. They sat Blitzø down in the chair, put his hands behind his back and tied him up with chains so he couldn't escape.
"Master, Mistress, it's done! Blitzø is seated in the interrogation room and tied up with chains" a shadow shark informed them.
"Excellent! Go grab a pen and a notepad to write down what Blitzø will tell us while we make a phone call" Nightfright ordered.
The shadow shark nodded silently and went to do just that while Nightfright pulled out his phone.
"Who are we calling" Scarlett asked him.
"Lucifer, it's not too late to inform him" he replied.
"Good point" said Scarlett.
Nightfright pulled out his phone and called Lucifer, who was walking down the halls of the Hazbin Hotel with Charlie and Vaggie.
"Hey, Nighty! What's up" Lucifer asked him.
"Hello, my friend. I'm…calling to inform you about updates regarding the I.M.P. situation" he replied.
Lucifer took a moment before he remember what happened the other day.
"Oh, right! Them! What new developments do you have" Lucifer asked him.
"It's about Blitzø! We have him" he replied.
Lucifer looked at Charlie and Vaggie, who were listening on the whole thing.
"Good work! After you're done interrogating him, write down everything you found out and send it to me tomorrow" he said.
"You got it! What should we do with Blitzø afterwards" Nightfright asked him.
"Honestly, I don't know. It's up to you, I guess" he replied.
"Alright, then. Don't worry, we won't kill him" said Nightfright.
"Alright, see ya" said Lucifer.
He hung up and looked back at Charlie and Vaggie.
"I guess they really do work fast" he said.
"That's Nightfright for you" said Charlie.
"I wonder what they'll get out of Blitzø" Vaggie asked.
"My guess, Vaggie, probably not that much" Charlie replied.
Meanwhile…
Nightfright and Scarlett were right outside the interrogation room.
"So, how do we plan on making him talk" Scarlett asked him.
"Mind control, remember" he replied.
"Oh, yeah. Forgot that you could that" said Scarlett.
"Never really needed to use it that much. Now I have a reason to" said Nightfright.
Scarlett smiled and nodded silently before they walked inside the interrogation room, where Blitzø was still unconscious and tied up in chains. The light was on and shining down on him as a few shadow sharks stood by, waiting for orders from their master and mistress. Then, as if on cue, Blitzø was waking up.
"Ugh, my head" he groaned.
"Wakey, wakey, Blitzø" said Nightfright.
Blitzø looked up and saw him, Scarlett and a few shadow sharks. He also noticed that he was seated in a chair and tied up with chains in a big room with a single light that was shining on him.
"Enjoyed your nap" Scarlett asked him.
Blitzø looked at her and Nightfright.
"What do you two want with me" he asked them.
"Just to ask you a few dozen questions, Blitzø" Nightfright replied.
"About what? Me? My business? Those I work with" Blitzø asked them.
"Your business and everyone associated with it, yes" Scarlett replied.
Blitzø glared at them.
"If you think I'm gonna sell any of them out, you can forget it! I'm not telling you shit" he said.
Nightfright looked at Scarlett who smiled and nodded at him. Nightfright looked back at Blitzø and grinned.
"Oh, yes! Yes, you will" he said.
He then grabbed Blitzø by the head and used his powers on him. When Blitzø looked back up them, his eyes were glowing red and he looked emotionless.
"Let the interrogation begin" said Nightfright.
