Toriko: Namu's Buffet
Chapter 30
"Long Time, No See."
The rapid flapping of insect wings reflected off the icy walls of the cavern, the sheer amount causing an irritating hum loud enough to cause a migraine.
"Freakin' bugs!" Namu yelled as he threw a punch at one of the offending creatures.
As if at light speed, the insect dodged out of the way of Namu's clenched fist before turning around and burying itself into his thigh, which began bleeding profusely.
"Argh!" Namu winced in pain.
"Let's see how you like this!" Namu growled as he flexed the thick muscles in his leg, causing the bug to pop back out.
As quickly as he could, Namu smashed his fist into the ground, splattering the small pest across the icy floor.
"Be careful, everyone!" Toriko shouted. "These bugs will crawl into your bodies!"
"I noticed!" Namu replied, sarcastically.
Just then, Namu looked towards Tsubaki fighting insects on her own, oblivious to the one behind her back.
"Look out!" Namu yelled as loud as he could to try and save Tsubaki.
Tsubaki turned towards Namu,only to see an insect flying right towards her.
Tsubaki narrowly dodged the insect, then stabbed it in the back, and then spun her knife, slicing the bug to pieces.
"Thanks for the heads up, pard'ner!" Tsubaki shouted, as she made her way closer to Namu, believing they could more easily defeat the insects together.
"Nice work, Tsu! Where'd you learn to do that, anyway?" Namu asked, impressed by his partner's speed, and quick thinking.
"I saw Match do it a minute ago." Tsubaki replied, simply.
"You're a quick learner." Namu said with a confident smile. "So, what was with that country accent a second ago?"
"Ah!" Tsubaki gasped, embarrassed. "Sorry, Butch-san's accent must be rubbing off on me."
Suddenly, Namu and Tsubaki felt an intense power behind them, as if a monster appeared behind them.
Namu was greatly concerned, but the feeling was familiar. He had felt it before.
"Intimidation." Namu thought. An Intimidation he felt not long ago, on the Wul Continent.
Namu began to remember how the Intimidation looked.
A large, skinny, chalk-white, skeletal creature, with long claws, bony limbs, baggy skin, and two skulls fused into one, with the right eye of the left skull, and the left eye of the right skull being the same.
Suddenly, the bugs began flying away, back to their master.
Namu and Tsubaki looked to where the bugs were going and saw five silhouettes flying towards them, with one looking very familiar.
"The Bishokukai?!" Toriko said, in complete shock. "Brace yourselves, guys. It's do or die time."
"Long time, no see, Namu." Hito said with an angry grin, as he reached behind him to pull his nodachi from its sheath.
Namu suddenly felt a sharp pain coming from his torso. When he looked down, he saw a large slash that went from the right side of his chest to his left hip, the scent of the iron from the large amount of blood burning his nostrils.
"NAMUUUUUUU!" Tsubaki yelled, in horror.
