Soldier Boy and Angel Girls

Levi P.O.V

Goddamn Bremens coming from left, right, and just about everywhere. Good thing these ones are stupid as hell, just charging on the front instead of their usual tactics.

Shiroko and Serika were doing the usual shooting off their weapons, leaving the Bremens with numb, trembling hands unable pick back up their guns. Aru is surprisingly a good shot with her clumsiness, she has a rifle grenade I told her save for later but just used because she wanted to look cool...

I had Nonomi along with the imp, Mutsuki was her name, lay down suppressive fire with their machinegun. I had to push her head down when she stuck it up and out of cover to mock the incoming forces.

"H-hey! What gives?!" Oh I ought to chew you out of talking like that to your superior. But lucky for her, we're not in any position for that.

"Keep firing!" I shout out to the others as the Bremens tried to charge to our sides, which were disarmed by Shiroko and Serika and mowed down by Nonomi and Mutsuki.

"Please perish! Please perish! Please perish!" Shouted Haruka as she jumped out of the impromptu trench, slam firing her trench gun at the advancing opposition, blowing some away at the force of its firepower. I would've reprimanded her for charging out of the trench without my order, but I'll let her be for now.

"Ayane, take out their oncoming backline!" I immediately hear her reply as many of those drones of her whirring in unison, flying towards their rear.

Bang! Bang!

I see the orange flashes of a rifle going through two each, bringing almost half of her drones down. Damnit, I look into the distance for their anti-air... it's that Iori girl, aiming her rifle up the sky.

I take out my Lugr and aim it at her, aligning the sights to her figure as I did Wakamo. She turns her head to look as I shot and-

She swiftly dashes left and right in a silver flash, dodging my shots at the blink of an eye. What the hell?! She's as fast as Shiroko even without the rat amulet and the white angel soul as Reila called it.

"Ayane, drop the munitions now and fly them back! Make way for Shiroko to engage their leader!" I hear them answering my orders with obedience. Shiroko jumps up and out of cover as everyone concentrated their fire on the Bremens her way, making sure not to hit Haruka who has the same uniform who's shielding Shiroko as she's blasting away with her trench gun with the munitions Ayane dropped exploding danger close.

After blasting the opposing force on Shiroko's way, Haruka moves out of her way, giving Shiroko a red carpet towards Iori who dodges Shiroko's full auto fire in a silver flash, firing back at the grey and blue flash that's Shiroko.

Everyone present watched for a moment as the two blurring flashes circled around one another in a storm of bullets and occasionally crashing into each other as they backed away.

We went back to shooting eachother as they moved too far somewhere else to fight. This would be easier if they didn't have haloes or stayed down, but there's nothing I can do about that.

"Sensei! Sensei!" What is it, Mutsuki?! "My bag here is full of explosives, can I use it now?!" Why didn't you say so earlier?!

No matter, she looks excited as I give her permission to use it and tell her where to throw it at. She steps away from the edge of the trench, grabs her bag by both arms and starts spinning, the force from the spin propelling it further like a catapult would.

Boom!

The explosive force was bigger than I thought, throwing around the charging Bremen footmen as they cried out. That bag must've been filled to the brim like sardines with explosives... just what the hell were you planning with that?

But yeah, they're finally all down. The speeding blurry flashes that were Iori and Shiroko finally returned. Each going to their own side, out of breath with some scratches in their clothes and body.

I see one of Ayane's smaller drones slowly approaching Iori, now with Chinatsu by her side casting healing whispers the same time I did for Shiroko. I need her in her full strength with how outnumbered we are.

"This is Okusora Ayane of the Abydos Foreclosure Task Force, state your affiliations and intentions!" That hologram of Ayane as I've heard them call it, appeared before the two Bremen girls. Chinatsu looks unsure of what to say, same with Iori.

"I can answer that." Another hologram of a short blue haired girl with a crescent halo, and a short skimpy uniform appeared and answered. I hear Chinatsu and Iori calling her administrator Ako.

"Greetings, Abydos Students. My name is Ako, Senior Administrator of the Gehenna Prefect Team." She politely greeted and introduced herself. "I'd like a moment to explain what's going on, if you don't mind?" Cut to the chase Bremen whore! tell us why you're invading?! ... wait, why are they all staring at me? Oh, goddamnit.

"W-whore?!" Ako shouted back in indignation, glaring at me. I also see Iori widening her eyes at my words, and Chinatsu mouthing my words out in disbelief. "H-how dare you?!" Oh man, I got so caught up in the battle that I actually thought I was back there... damnit, roll with it.

"I mean..." Alright, how do I not make myself look like garbage? "You're dressed like one, I can see the skin of your breasts along with your ass." I think I overloaded their head with my words as they kept staring, even the fallen girls in purple uniforms looking on.

...

...

...

This is really awkward, having this many people, girls even, staring at me. "A-as an e-educator... you s-should'nt be... " I can tell she's shaking, holding her arms, speaking while trying her best to repress her anger. "Oh to hell with it! Capture him, now!" Is that what she actually wanted this whole time?! I see the now recovered Bremen girls reorganizing for another offensive, and the Abydos and Problem Solver girls setting themselves on the trench.

"It was already suspicious enough that the GSC created a secret club with that much power!" She shouted directly at me. "Now that I know what kind of person you are, I need you in captivity if I don't want you interrupting the treaty!"

"If you wanted me that much, then you should've come for me yourself!" I couldn't help but blurt that out. It would've been easier that way but no, she had to drag her entire group along. Wait, why are they staring again? Why are they blushing? Even Ako as she called herself blushed despite shaking in rage.

"D-don't flatter yourself! I don't want you that way!" She screamed out in vehemence while still blushing. "What are you waiting for?! Get him!" The Prefect foot soldiers were about to do just that until-

"Ako." Another hologram of little Hina appeared. Just hearing her voice made Ako freeze up in fear.

"P-president Hina?" She stuttered out. Turning around frantically, looking for something, no, someone. "I didn't expe-" She fearfully started, but-

"Ako, where are you now?" She stated in a simple and direct way with that usual cold and serious look on her face. I hear her stammering until she thought of an obvious lie judging by her tone.

"That's a lie!" Serika jumped up the concrete trench as she shouted with anger.

"The Senior Administrator must've been acting on their own." Nonomi suspected in a way I wouldn't expect from her.

"Really now, Ako?" Hina said in a tired voice, letting out a little sigh through the hologram. Wait, is she walking? To whe- "Then how do you explain all of this?" That's-?! I turned to the sound of her voice in alert as I heard her voice near us.

She looks towards the hologram of Ako, irritated and tired. She walks closer to Chinatsu, Iori, and Ayane's drone until she's side by side with her hologram. Her weapon... is a Bremen large machine gun almost as tall as her.

I see the Abydos girls looking on in surprise, unbelieving of the sight before them. "You'd better have a good explanation for all this mess." She said in a low voice as her expression darkened.

It was bad enough that you violated a neighboring Academies sovereignty, but to actually ruin my chances of learning magic?!

The first line of thought fits her current appearance, the second reminds me of how small and cute she is. I can see Ako's hologram backing away in fear, despite actually being far from Ako.

"That's the Gehenna Prefect President, Sorasaki Hina!" We can see that Ayane. "O-of course, moving on. She's the highest ranking member of Gehennas military, so why is she here?!" Weird as it seems, I think she came here for us.

"I... uhm... I came here for Problem Solver!" She nervously stuttered out an excuse. Yeah no, they already fled when we weren't looking. "Huh?! But they were here just moments ago!" Yeah, not anymore as you can see.

"I already heard you rambling, Ako." Damn, Hina actually looks scary now. "Schale, the Tea Party, the GSC President. They're the Pandemonium Raccoons problems, why would you want to make it ours?!" Hina growled out, almost breaking her composure and screaming out with that hateful expression.

"We'll talk later, cut off all communications now." Without a word, Ako immediately and fearfully turned off her hologram. I hear the girls by my side sighing out of relief, except Shiroko.

"Now's our chance to try again." Oh goddamnit. I tried to raise my left arm out of instinct but only threw up the sleeve which was thankfully enough for her.

"Shiroko-Senpai! Head Prefect Hina is the strongest in Kivotos!" Oh... that's interesting. "We wouldn't stand a chance against her! We need to-"

"Nn, Sensei's magic will -"

"No." I interrupt her. She turns her head to me in surprise, about to refute with something. "Hina can be reasoned with, and besides, my magic is not that powerful against someone like Hina." There were some back in Prehevil that withstood even the black orb. If Ayane's word of Hina being the strongest in all of Kivotos were true, then a black orb would just bounce from her like a small bullet to a tank.

She, along with Serika and Nonomi, looks on surprise at my words. Hina along with Chinatsu and Iori seems to have overheard as Hina turned around and looked surprised with a blush before she regained her composure.

Ayane sounds in relief that I chose negotiations as her drone moved to Hina. "Head Prefect Hina, I'm Okusora Ayane of Abydos. Do you know of what has transpired?" She asked in a formal tone.

"Ako trespassed into Abydos territory along with her unauthorized troop deployment." She sounds really tired, barely keeping up the formality.

This has been tiring, and Levi-Sensei is here. I'm not mentioning the fact that they still interrupted with the Prefect Team's operation against Problem Solver... I really want that magic.

"Don't worry, Hina. I promised didn't I?" The Abydos girls stared at me, with Hina again losing her composure and blushing with an expression of shyness.

"Sensei... please don't read my mind." She tries her best to return her serious expression but only manages a cute pout.

"Ueegh, what's all this mess about." That lazy sleepy voice! I turn to see Hoshino lazily walking to where Hina is, holding her trench gun by the pistol grip with one hand and covering her yawning mouth with the other

"Where the hell have you been?!" I shouted at the slowly walking figure of the long pink haired Hoshino. I heard Serika shout at her exactly the same time I did, I hear Shiroko gloating that we took care of them already.

"The Gehenna Prefect Team... you came all the way here for Problem Solver?" Asked Hoshino to Hina with a somewhat serious tone.

"Takanashi Hoshino? You look different from when you were in first year, I almost didn't recognize you." Hina said with a slight tremble as she closed her eyes.

"Did we know eachother?" Hoshino replied. Hehe, they're both really small. I mumble to myself, not loud enough for anyone else to hear.

"I was taking notes of any Students of Interest when I was still in the Intelligence Committee." So Hina said... that seems more advanced than what kids would usually be doing but... this is Kivotos I guess. "I thought you left Abydos after the incident." She said lowly, Hoshino's face darkening a little.

Hoshino doesn't reply, just makes a serious face and nothing else. Incident? Is that part of the reason for her personality? "I see..." Hina trails off, knowing something I don't. "Nevertheless, the Prefect Team is not here to fight." She declared, turning to her little soldiers as they raised their heads in kind.

"Iori, Chinatsu." She called out to her two peers. Iori stood in attention, slightly stuttering as she addressed Hina. Chinatsu letting out a tired sigh as she replied in affirmation to Hina. "Gather up our girls, we're pulling out!" She ordered, Iori looks surprised at her words.

"Pulling out?" Ayane asked in disbelief through the radio. We then see Hina approaching Hoshino, the two tiny girls facing one another down for a moment before Hina bowed to Hoshino as if in apology.

"S-she b-bowed?!" Nonomi is astonished at the action. Is bowing to someone that much of a big deal here? Hell, even Hoshino looks in disbelief and a little awkward as Hina bowed to her.

"Yes it is, Levi-Sensei." How- when did you get so close? Chinatsu walked to our impromptu trench really fast, with Iori tailing behind her trying to talk her out of it. "Sorry if I'm imposing, but I need to check up on Levi." She said, addressing the Abydos girls by my side. Shiroko looks to be glaring, with Serika not trusting her as well.

"Well, you did warn us back then." Nonomi replied for us with gratitude in her voice. "Feel free to do so." She said. I hear Hina's apology to Hoshino, she's taking the blame for what Ako did and formally apologizing personally.

"That look in your eyes." I turn my head to see Chinatsu's narrowed look... why? I didn't do anything wrong, I swear. "Really now?" She said in a low, almost angry voice.

"Chinatsu! You shouldn't get close to him!" Iori said behind her, grabbing her arm by both hands and trying to pull her away. "He probably lied about the ritual for the magic, he just made you do it for his sick pleasure!" So she said with disgust and a repulsed tone, the look she's giving me making that clear.

"No, he already made it clear there were better alternatives." Chinatsu softly said, gently prying off Iori's hands out of her arm. "Or would you have preferred I didn't learn that healing magic? Little Ibuki wouldn't have told Makoto to multiply our budget tenfold." That smile in tandem with her glasses shining is a little unnerving.

Iori can't muster up a reply, just backing away with a look of defeat. The Abydos girls expressing their interest. "You taught her magic?!" Serika asked out loudly, widening her eyes and walking over to me and grabbing me by the shoulders. "Why didn't you say we could learn it?!" Oh? Too late Serika.

"Rin already used two out of the five last soul stones." I see both her and Shiroko widen their eyes in fear, stuttering as they made some weird panicked noises. "and I already promised the last three to Hina and that kid Chinatsu talked about." I see both of their ears drooping down in defeat... that's actually really adorable.

"And what about the ritual your friend said he made you do?" Asked Nonomi to Chinatsu, now back to her lively and cheerful self at the discussion on magic. "And those soul stones he talked about... maybe Serika actually bought some from those shady vendors." Yeah, maybe. The Salmonsnake rune I left to her and the White Angel rune Shiroko's wearing are used soul stones.

"They are?! Haha, I totally knew I wasn't wasting money!" Serika shouted out pridefully, her hands on her waists and eyes closed. Shiroko picked up the White Angel rune from the lace to look at it.

"Yeah no, it's still used." Serika turns to me at breakneck speed with a look of despair. She was about to say something, but Nonomi spoke up first, clearing her throat to get our attention.

"So, Miss Chinatsu of the Gehenna Prefect Team." She started in a formal voice directed to the medic girl. "What was that ritual Sensei had you do?" ... Oh no, the Abydos girls are leaning towards her in anticipation. Chinatsu backs away a little, flustered and blushing with Iori doing the same.

"Uhmm... well." She tries to speak up, stabilizing her breathing as she calmed herself down. How am I going to defend myself here... after she lets the Abydos girls know. "A simple act... of self-love for the Goddess Sylvian." She said with a slight blush. The Abydos girls looked on, still processing her explanation, not understanding it.

"So you just have to hug yourself a lot?" Serika asked, looking skeptical at Chinatsu's words.

"In a narcissistic way?" Nonomi wondered aloud, waiting for more words from Chinatsu. You know what, I think it's better if they don-

"Oh for the love of-" Iori was about to explode in annoyance. Oh, don't you da- "She means masturbation!" She shouted out while heavily blushing... the Gehenna foot soldiers turned their heads at Iori's outburst, I can see both Hina and Hoshino with widened eyes and lowered jaws.

"Goddamnit Iori." Shiroko, Serika, Nonomi, and probably Ayane back in the school is still frozen, not being able to process Iori's words. Slowly, they turn their heads at me with Ayane's nearby drone slowly rotating to have it's camera face me. "Yeah... the Old Gods are weird like that... I'll have you girls know, I also did it back in Prehevil!" I think I've overloaded their minds with needless information. They look like they're pretending they didn't just learn about mine and Chinatsu's path to learning healing magic.

"Anyway, moving on." Chinatsu said, back to her serious look. "Levi-Sensei... you haven't been drinking have you?" Of course not! Only once after you left along with Yuuka and Hasumi!

"That's a lie!" Shut up Hoshino! She and Hina walked closer to us, stopping as they were a step away from the concrete trench we're in. "He's been drinking for almost three nights straight!" She lazily, yet proudly exclaimed...

"No I haven't." I said quickly, turning my head to look away from her no doubt furious eyes.

"Yeah, Hoshino-Senpai is right!" Ayane shouted through her drones radio, conjuring a hologram of her holding the one large empty vodka bottle, and the other shattered piece I forgot to throw away. "You emptied two 1.5 liter bottles the day you came, and now you guzzled down two more just the last nights!" ...

...

...

...

"I didn't drink those..." Of course they wouldn't believe that. "I poured it away." Yup, not believing it even a little.

"Levi-Sensei." Chinatsu started in a soft comforting voice. I slowly force my head to face her... ahh, she's truly an angel with how she's looking at me. "Is it because you used magic too much, or is it because you just wanted to drink." I can't being myself to answer her. She drops to the trench and holds her hand out to caress my face.

"People with hard lives often drink a lot." I... yeah, they- no, we do. "Too much alcohol is bad for your body and mind, so make sure not to do it too much." I... alright, because you said so.

"Yeah... I'll try my best." I said to her, mustering up whatever semblance of confidence I have. She gives me that sweet comforting smile, she's telling me I'm doing great... I feel like a pet... but I don't mind as long as it's you.

"Hey! Save the confession for when you two are alone!" I hear Serika shouting out in exasperation. I come to my senses, looking at Chinatsu's blushing mess of a face.

I can hear the other girls making sounds of jealousy, and the foot soldiers around gushing on at us.

"A-as long as you're happy." She said, stepping away and out of the trench. "I'd love to stick longer, but duty calls." Yes, of course. I give her a nod and a smile. She responds in kind before walking away with Iori giving a side eye before turning around to direct her troops.

I hear the Abydos girls groaning that it's been a long tiring day, saying they're going back to the school.

"Sensei of Schale." I look at Hina as she called out to me. She looks serious. "There's something I need to tell you." Yeah, go ahead. Wait, was she waiting until we were alone? Are you giving me classified intel?

"Correct." So she is, come on then, it's been a long day and I need to check up on Master Shiba. "Of course, first off, have you heard of Kaiser Corporation?" She started, sounding serious. Not blushing or gushing as I've read in her thoughts or seen in her face.

"Yeah, I know well enough about them." I actually thought the Bremen Kaiser also came here and set up shop, so I read about them and it's a relief to know they're just using the name.

"Bremen Kaiser?" Hina wondered aloud, expressing interest at my words. "Chinatsu said something about a Bremen invasion of your hometown... and you called Ako a Bremen..." She followed up, looking at me in anticipation for more information.

"The Bremens had a similar fashion sense to your uniforms, same with your schools architecture." She looks surprised at something, widening her eyes with a slight look of worry. "And with your disciplined greeting when I went through the Gehenna blood portal." Alright, what's with that face your making?

"You don't hate us for the resemblance, do you?" To that, I vehemently shake my head left and right. "And blood portal?" She seems concerned about the name... not anymore it seems as she gives a look of consideration.

"No matter, we are getting sidetracked. Neither the Tea Party or the Pandemonium Society has received the information I will impart to you." Hina said with a no nonsense look of seriousness, just business. "I thought you should know given your proximity to Abydos." Hina, I appreciate your hard work but you should smile more, I bet you'll look prettier that way.

"I... thank you, Levi-Sensei." She said with a blush as she looked to the side, before clearing her throat and going back to a still blushing but serious expression. "Anyway, I think Kaiser Corporation is up to something in the abandoned desert of Abydos." She reported to me in a disciplined yet slightly flustered way.

"Yeah, the Bremens had similar motives for Prehevil." I said, thinking back to how much they sued, even begged for a halt in hostilities. Hina widens her eyes and brows both in wonder and curiosity. "Chinatsu probably already told you why Prehevil was special." To that, she slowly nodded her head.

"I think Kaiser Corporation found or is looking for something just as special under Abydos." Wait, Hina's supposed to be the expert on intelligence, why does she look surprised at what I'm saying? "Anything else I should know?" That looks to have snapped her out of her wondering.

"Not much else, but there is the Masked Mizugi Gang." Pfft, I was barely able to hold in my laughter. "Who assaulted the most heavily guarded bank in the black market... and the outsider called the Yellow Prince." At the mention of my dress up as Kaiser, I finally gave out and started laughing so hard my throat felt soar.

Hina looks on in concern, at how I'm laughing? Why I'm laughing? A bit of both as far as I'm concerned, because who laughs like this? Apparently I do.

"I honestly refuse to believe no one would recognize them." To that, Hina widened her eyes at me, and then looking on in caution. "They didn't even change out of their uniform or hide their animal ears and hair color." I said as my wild laughter finally dissipated into giggles. She seems to have realized what I'm talking about as she looked behind me.

Huh, is that Shiroko? I can see the silhouette of her wolf ears and halo from the sun. Hina seems to have finally connected the dots as she closed her eyes and sighed heavily. "Well, thats one mystery solved. There's still the exhibitionist outsider tyrant in yellow." She added, rubbing her forehead in obvious stress.

"Yeah, that was me." She stops rubbing her temple and gives me a look, like I was some kind of deranged person. "Hoshino though of the name... and I know nothing about Hi- I mean Faust." I hastily said, almost blurting out Hifumi's name in mistake. Why is she blushing?

"They said you only wore a blanket!" She finally lost her composure. "Your... your... your hard thing was hanging out! Everyone there saw it!" How do I even respond to that?

"Well... I needed a way to throw them off." Hina gives me an angry, still blushing pout. That's actually really cute, but first, I dash to her side and wrap my arms around her head to whisper to her ears. "If you tell or write it was us, I won't give you magic." Yeah, it wouldn't be good for us if it came out. Hina looks on in fear before frantically nodding her head.

"Good, then call me for when you want to learn magic." I said as I turned around to Shiroko who's looking on with an indiscernible expression. "And bring that Kid Chinatsu was talking about." Yeah, also that.

"Of course, it was thanks to her that our budget was significantly multiplied." Good for them then.

Shiroko looks on in anticipation... about what?

The Bremen Kaiser and his invasion of Levi-Sensei's home, Kaiser Corporations scheme in the desert. What is it?

"Don't worry Shiroko, I'll tell you back in the school."

"Heave, ho!" Cheered Haruka as she diligently packed our stuff. Today's been quite a day, first we accidentally blew up that ramen shop despite the owners kindness to us... we didn't even apologize.

Then we were beaten off by the Abydos students... that's twice they've beaten us! No, actually, it was just Sensei and the drone operator last time... wait, that's actually even worse! They annihilated us even with our numbers advantage!

"So where do we go now?" Questioned Kayoko with a tired voice, still recovering from being knocked out called back in the Prefect Teams attack. Good question, I don't know!

"Should we go back to Gehenna?" Mutsuki said with a hint of mischievousness. No way! We're not going back there!

I'm... not a hardboiled outlaw... that Yellow Prince guy with the Masked Mizu- no, Abydos Students when they robbed the black market bank... be the outlaw that fights against a nonexistent justice... one that people will always follow... yeah, I guess I'll do that.

"Finally I found you!" Huh? That voice? I turn to the voice as my employees did... it's him! "How are you girls?" The Gun Mage Sensei asked with worry in his voice. Oh my god, I actually thought that was paint on his face! I can see the pink underneath the skin, it's like uncooked meat from a market.

"It's you?!" Haruka exclaimed with surprise and... a hint of a smile in her face? I remember she was the last standing when he casted that explosion on us... at least I think it was magic.

"And you, Kayoko?" He gave her a worried look before it morphed into a smile of relief. "You got knocked out by the mortars back there, it's good to see you're alright." He said with audible happiness in his tone. Kayoko on the other hand looked away with shame in her eyes, fidgeting a little.

"Sensei of Schale..." You're never that meek Kayoko, spit out whatever you're thinking like usual. "Sorry, back then... I used my trauma inducing bullet on you." But it didn't affect him at all! Sensei only stared for a moment before letting out a giggle, covering his mouth with his... only hand, that armless left sleeve just flowing along the wind is kind of unsettling.

"For that, you should be apologizing to Hoshino, Shiroko, Serika, and Nonomi." He said with a smile as his giggles dissipated. "I actually thought it was just a mild headache until they started crying." As he said that, his smile finally disappears into a worried serious look. Kayoko looks on with concern and regret.

"I didn't want to find out what magics you had the hard way." She said with a meek soft voice that doesn't fit her with the Schale Sensei listening on. "So I planned to bring you down with your painful memories." Now she looks like she's awaiting some kind of punishment from him, to which he just laughs.

"Should've just shot my arm off then! Aru there is a good shot, a few shots in and my arm would've just..." He trailed off as he made a chopping motion with his only hand at his left stump as he was staring at me...

"I... I'm not that merciless!" I blurted out as my composure left me, actually, it's been gone for the whole day.

"I know you aren't." He said to me with a chuckle, and now he turns back to Kayoko. "So, off with that sad look, Kayoko." He said as he approached her, Kayoko closing her eyes in anticipation for something... and then, he starts... patting her head..

"You hatched a good plan to make things easier for your friends." He cooed with a proud and impressed tone, before it turned to a smirk. "You probably already knew about the god I worship, Fear and Hunger. Those two things are a constant where I'm from, you're shadow bullet can't do anything to me." He said as Kayoko made a face of comfort at his headpats. That Gods title... is really ominous. But to have so much fear that Kayoko's bullet's wouldn't have any effect...

"Wait, if you're so full of it, then shouldn't you always be acting as if her bullets are affecting you." Damnit! Me and my big mouth! He stops patting and turned his head to me... Haruka, Mutsuki, and Kayoko also looking...

"Aru-chan! You shouldn't speak about his trauma like that!" Mutsuki shouted with concern I wouldn't expect from such a prankster. Haruka looks at me with wide eyes... oh no, she sees me as a role model, to be speaking to an unfortunate person li-

"You don't seperate your thought and speech at all!" He said as he bursted out into laughter, before it turned to a smile of relief. Even the others look confused. "Good, you're a honest girl, Aru." I... what?! I'm supposed to be... a hardboiled outlaw... I'm not fit in that role... even he sees that.

"Anyway, I came here to tell you girls." He paused, unhanding Kayoko's head as he turned away from us and started walking away. "I'll be hiring you girls soon, and I'm tracing whoever hired you to attack Abydos, through you." It's good to know you're hiring us, but it would be unprofessional of us to lead you to a past client!

"But Sensei..." Kayoko whimpered out, still waiting for something as she reached out to him which thankfully, Mutsuki held her off.

"Sensei already said he doesn't care! Your apology should be for the Abydos Students affected by your bullet as he said!" Mutsuki said with a smile. It's rare to see Mutsuki like this... if only you were like that always!

So apparently... Master Shiba was planning to close down shop even without that explosion happening. He doesn't look that much injured lying down at the white infirmary bed, just a few hairs burned and a few bruises in.

"You were going to close up shop?!" Ayane asked in surprise and panic, widening her eyes as she did. Yeah, even I am in disbelief even if I'm not outwardly showing it.

"Yes, I already had an eviction notice from the building owners." He said with shame. I... what? Is he renting the building? No, Hoshino and the other girls would have known as they supposedly... ruled... Abydos... goddamnit... we're really going back to this?!

"Eh? Levi-Sensei, what is it you're angry at?" Asked Ayane in concern at my voice, eve Serika and Master Shiba looks unnerved and concern at me. I let out a sigh as I finally felt my teeth clenching.

"Nothing, I just remembered something I would've rather forgot." And as usual, they're interest at my past is absolute. "Was the land annexed... or conceded by the past Abydos rulers?" I see both Ayane and Serika raising a single eyebrow at confusion before darkening into a realization.

"Yes! The Abydos Student Council couldn't pay off their debt, and so they had to sell the land." Master Shiba said in absolute surprise, even bolting straight into a sitting position. "You use the word "annexed" and "concede" ... young man... those are words a military man would use." He said with concern in his eyes and tone, the two girls, students I'm with hears what he said and looks intrigued at his words.

... ... "Was it Kaiser Corporation?" I said as I emptied my thoughts and refused to acknowledge or even reply to what he just figured out... what I just let slip. He looks at me for a moment... before sighing out.

"I see, yes, I remember reading that name many times in the documents." He said with sympathy. I don't even need to read his mind... he understood immediately and answered my question, how did he-

As I thought about how he knew, I saw a glint of my reflection from the infirmary window... I have a hardened expression, wide-eyed yet serious with obvious pain.

Ayane and Serika looked very curious and was about to ask more, but thankfully, Master Shiba interrupted them before they could get a word out. "If he doesn't want to talk about it, then don't force him!" He scolded with a stern voice.

That got them to stop whatever they were going to ask.

"I see, then Sensei, Serika." Ayane said with a look of seriousness. "You two should go ahead back to the school, there's something I need to check first." So she said, but Serika doesn't like the idea and said that she's coming along with her. Well, actually-

"There's something I also need to say."

"Then go back to the school first, Sensei." She said to me... looks like she's not taking no for an answer.

"Anyway, Master! Don't go retiring on me this soon!" She cried out to Master Shiba.

"Oh, Serika." He sounds happy for her concern. "I need to tell you, there was a bag full of cash back in the restaurant." They forgot about that?! Oh well.

"Use it to rebuild your restaurant, Sir." I said to him. He looks shocked at my words... why? "I'll give you the recipe to mt goulash, hell, add it to your menu. I bet the Rondoner Chef would've wanted that." At my words, he lightens up. The same look he had whenever I saw him in the restaurant is back, one of a hardworking honest man.

"I... as long as I get to learn how to cook that dish.

It's still this early, barely even afternoon even with all of what just happened... Rin said other students would be asking for my counseling... and judging by how much this phone thing has been vibrating and the bright board of notifications as Arona called it I can identify pile up, it's probably about time I did my job properly.

[Abydos GC]

[You:I'm gonna visit some other parts of Kivotos for now.]

[Serika: Yeah, you're a Sensei after all. You should've been doing that in your free time instead of talking to yourself and that tablet!]

I... yeah. Arona had to explain to me how a lot of technology here worked.

[Hoshino: Uegh, Levi-Kun worked hard where he came from, it's only natural for him rest. But instead, he immediately came to our aid.]

Yeah, kind of. The last few weeks prior to my arrival was bad enough, and the thirty kilometer march to the Schale building along with running around the city looking for the GSC headquarters was already tiring enough. The hunger I was feeling was kind of nothing thanks to my slow metabolism, courtesy of the Rondoner chef.

[Nonomi: Yes, his disheveled first appearance didn't make that already obvious, Serika-chan?]

[Shiroko: Nn, maybe she just hates poor people?]

[Serika: No I don't!]

[Ayane: Alright, Levi-Sensei, take care of yourself.]

I will Ayane, I will.

I turn to look at Abydos school one last time, taking in it's sight before I turn to the blood portal.

Now... where do I start?

/

Walking through the streets of Shiratori D.U as I overheard others here call it, I'm reading through the "chats" that many students have sent me.

Some of these messages read like nonsense, some are serious. I should prioritize what I can easily deal with first.

"Oi, what are you gonna do about her ice cream?!" I turn my head to the source of the crass voice to see a helmeted thug, like the ones I've been dealing with.

"What are you yelling at me for?!" A small dog person in a suit cried out in terror, hugging his small bag to his person.

I see another in red helmet getting up close to the dog person, saying her friend dropped her ice cream because of him. Goddamnit, they're extorting someone over ice cream, I need to step in for decency sake.

"Hey! Stop that!" I shouted out, pocketing my phone and pulling out my Lugr. They turn their heads to me, sneering as they faced me up front "Aren't you a shameless bunch, can't you lot just get a job?!" That seems to have struck their nerves as they aggressively approach me.

"Well ain't it the famous Sensei of Sch-" Whatever they were about to say never went out of their mouth as an artillery shell? Rifle grenade? Something landed under their feet, exploding and throwing them around.

What... the hell? That's not an accident, hitting them directly under their feet before they could get closer for it's blast radius to reach me.

I hear the dog person talking about how he's happy to know that I, Sensei of Schale is reliable... he has a really bad allergy. Damn, that's really bad.

Out of instinct, I immediately throw my self into whatever cover came into mind at my surroundings as I heard a high pitched whistling, before the ground beneath the dog person exploded, knocking him out.

[Sensei, you don't have to worry about getting hurt. I'll protect you!] I heard Arona shouting out from my sling bag. Is she the reason for that almost transparent blue barrier? No matter.

"Thanks Arona." I whisper, only loud enough for her to hear.

I push myself up to check on the dog person, he's alright, not even a scratch. I let out a sigh of relief for his, even the helmeted girls practically unharmed state.

I turn my head to frantically look for whoever shot or launched that attack, it's obviously got something to do with me... I can't see the shooter.

I start running, it doesn't matter which direction, whoever it is will follow me. I turn several corners at random, either I lose the guy, or I somehow circle behind and see the shooters back. I run and run, finding myself being halted by a girl in pink coverall uniforms like the ones Problem Solver had.

"Hey! You can't be here! This is a construction site, we're scheduled for a timed demolition of this building." The worker girl in a hardhat was about to talk more but the same whistling I heard came and I saw an orange flash going inside the building she's shooing me away from.

The entire first floor of the building explodes several times, blasting her away as the rest of the building crumbled down.

Damnit! I run away as fast as my legs could move, eventually reaching an alleyway and following it's path out of the place.

Unluckily for me, there was a group of Sukebens from the other road who saw me. I can't tell what expressions they have under their mouth mask, but I can tell by their eyes that they're up to no good.

Thankfully enough, the same shooter blows them up before they could even take a single step.

... Goddamnit, just start running. It doesn't matter where, I just start running to wherever... that bridge there, perhaps this shooter stalker will... follow... me...

That Wakamo girl... she had almost the same expression as that black haired stalker that moonscorched before us... don't tell me...

It's her, I doubt the other schools would do as Ako did here in GSC territory. And her title as the Fox of Calamity would fit what just happened.

Huh, this bridge was closer than I thought. I arrived in the middle before I even knew it.

I just hope she won-

Boom! Boom! Cars, buses, and other vehicles are all flipped, set on fire, and deformed at the explosions. The ones driving, along with the passengers are thankfully unharmed as they screamed and ran in fear...

"Goddamnit Wakamo!" I screamed out in frustration. I actually thought she was somewhat sane back then.

"You... you knew it was me this whole time?!" I heard a flustered, shy voice from somewhere around the smokes from the flames. I finally see her, the oriental dress, the dark hair and fox ears, that black and red flower patterned halo, and a new mask. "Were you leading me here this entire time." She asked with an overjoyed tone... oh no, I just fed a stalker the very thing she wants.

Among the backgrounds of trucks, cars, and whatever thats on fire, deformed, and upside down. She stands out with the orange glow from the flames and the shadow of the smokes darkening the place around us with her dark dress.

She takes off her mask to reveal a blushing, joyful face looking at me with eyes almost teary eyed from happiness. "That... brings me happiness!" She happily declared, uncaring of the damage she has done around her. "I, Wakamo, have done everything to bring us together!" You could have just contacted me, you know that, right? It would've been easier instead of making a mess.

"Correct! But I wanted to do it in a way that would express my feelings!" I... that would've been lovely if it didn't involve hurting other people. "Surely, we owe this reunion of ours to the red thread of fate that binds us!" You... somehow both sound more and less sane than that stalker back in the church. Whats with that look she's giving me? Oh...

"Don't worry about that, it was my friends stalker." And with that, she goes back to her expression of happiness and proclaiming her obsessive affection for me.

She's about to keep on spouting whatever. Ok, thats enough! I run towards her, and her already wide smile somehow widens even more.

I reached her, almost slamming my only arm at her shoulder before I started shaking her, snapping her out of whatever trance she was in. "Wakamo! If you wanted to express your love to me, then you shouldn't have dragged other people into this!" I screamed at her, almost losing myself to anger.

"I... Uhh." She looks uncomfortable when I'm glaring at her. I'd want nothing more to whisper sweet words to your ears, you're pretty after all. No, don't start blushing yet! "If your way of expressing your love to me is by hurting other people, then I don't want it." I say sternly, as a teacher, as what I imagine people like Miss Abella or Karin, or Mister Marcoh or Daan would've said.

She looks almost afraid at what I just said, she's unsure of how to reply.

[Mind Read]

I... all I've wanted all this time was to see you again, and these feelings in my heat... I felt it was about to explode, I couldn't stop it... please...

"Wakamo." I call out her name to snap her out of her thoughts. She's looking to me, almost in fear yet anticipating something. "I thought Rin was just exaggerating when she called you insane. It's disappointing to know she was right." She didn't actually say that, but it felt like she did. Her eyes widen... in fear? Anger? No, tears start to drop to her cheeks as her eyes water up.

"I... I'm sorry, Sensei!" She cried out, throwing herself at me, hugging and clinging to my chest as she profusely apologized. "Please forgive me, Sensei! I dont know what I would do if you hated me!" ... She's actually crying... she's not making it up...

"First of all, my name is Levi." That got her attention as she looked at me straight with sobs and still wet eyes. "Levi of Prehevil." She looks a little confused, probably to my lack of a family name.

"Wakamo, I can see you're remorseful." She stopes herself from sobbing, listening to me intently. "But do you feel remorse for the people you have hurt?" She's... she looks hesitant to answer, I don't even have to read her mind.

"Wakamo, what kind of love involves hurting other people who had nothing to do with us?" ... ... "That's selfishness, Wakamo." She widens her eyes and eyebrows, as if realizing something.

Is that why... he looked at me with anger? Because I didn't care about who was in my path as I let loose? I... he's right... I shouldn't be acting like this.

She's aware of herself and willing to listen and change, that's good. "Now, when you want to see me, just come to me." And with that, Wakamo smiles at me with renewed happiness.

She was about to say something, but the horns from probably the police start blaring loudly from a distance. "Ahh, they're here to interrupt us again." No, Wakamo. "I understand, until next time then, Levi-kun, my darling." She unclung herself from her hug to me and fled to... somewhere.

Alright, how do I explain all this to the police girls?

/

They detained me... they couldn't cuff my hands, hehe, I mean hand so they just didn't. They had me in their cars backseat as the drove around the city, occasionally asking about magic which I didn't once reply to, and eventually reaching their headquarters.

The two police girls stepped of the car, and turned to open the doors for me and pull me out. "Why am I being detained again?" I ask with a tired voice. They didn't give me that thing were they said I had the right to remain silent or something, hell, they didn't even tell me what for.

"Oh, we aren't detaining you, Sensei." What do you call all of this then?! "Captain Kanna wanted to see you." She explained as she along with her partner held me by my hand and left sleeve as they were too small to reach my shoulders.

"Yes, the SRT squad leader kept saying she would only agree to speak if you were the interrogator." Oh yeah... I forgot to talk to Rin about them. Alright, what do I tell them?

"Is that so?" I said, feeling a little annoyed at how they didn't just explain all that during the ride. "Can you bring me straight to Miyako then?"

"Captain Kanna would've wanted to see you first." The one on my left said.

"Eh, he knows what he's doing." The one to the right lazily said, changing course to somewhere else in the headquarters.

Miyako P.O.V

Ahh, finally. He's finally come here... so, how was the talk with Acting President Rin?

He looks around awkwardly, as if he's looking for his words or is unsure of what to say... it didn't work, did it? He walks to the seat opposite of me in the interrogation table.

"I hate to tell you this, but I've been resting mostly for the past week or so." I... after you promised me?! What in the world were you doing?! "Hey! It wasn't even a week after I lost my arm when we first met!" I can't even refute that, I can only sigh out tiredly.

But moving on, we haven't properly introduced ourselves properly. My name is Miyako, Tsukiyuki Miyako, a first year at SRT Academy and the squad leader of Rabbit Platoon...

...

...

...

Why are you just staring at me like that? He starts fidgeting awkwardly, occasionally looking somewhere else, my waiting for something. Thankfully, he finally realized and read my mind, finally opening his mouth to speak up.

"I'm not reading your mind." He stated briefly and directly, letting out a sigh for some reason. Wouldn't it be faster if you did? And I'm not giving them any information, the Valkyrie personnel watching us through the two way mirror. "No really, I'm not, not this time at least. I don't want to sound deranged basically talking to myself... and I already look deranged enough." I see, fine then.

"My name is Miyako, Tsukiyuki Miyako, a first year at SRT Academy and the squad leader of Rabbit Platoon." I copy-pasted my thought into my speech, making sure to put on a polite tone of voice. "And you are?" I'm curious as to what kind of unit or military he served under.

"Levi of Prehevil." Of Prehevil? No family name? Either that or the place he came from was still medieval in some aspects of life. "Formerly a squad leader of the Eastern Union Army before I deserted, I think the adults promoted me to sergeant at one point." He said with closed eyes, probably trying to remember some things. These are usually important to solders, but he did say he was a conscript so it's not surprising to see he couldn't care less.

"So, were you and your girls treated well." He asked, leaning over with a face of concern. "They didn't starve you for making things hard for them, did they?" Wha- just what kind of place did he come from for that to be his first thought?!

"No! We were treated well, fed well! Just how you'd expect a person to be treated!" I couldn't stop my voice from raising itself, because who suggest those frightening prospects as the go to solution for prisoners?! "Is that how people were treated where you're from?!" And to that, he just starts chuckling, letting out a small laugh before making a sad face.

"It's good to know you and your friends were treated well." Why do you look so surprised that we were treated like normal human beings?! "But moving on, I just wanted to ask." Alright, I make a hand motion for him to go ahead.

"I read that SRT, your school wasn't being shut down, just merged with Valkyrie." He said, leaning his back to his seat. Hmm, I actually wouldn't mind it, just that I don't like how much SRT will lose with the merging conditions.

There's also the fact that SRT Academy is better, league's above what Valkyrie has to offer to Kivotos. "I admit that I wouldn't mind attending Valkyrie." I start and pause, making sure he has his eyes on me. "But I'm not leaving SRT, the justice it serves is special." He's intently listening in on me, taking in my words and conviction.

"Justice, it's a word you hear a lot. Trinity, Gehenna, Valkyrie, they serve their own sense of justice." I bolt straight into standing, unable to stop my will from leaking out. "All of them, they mix justice and politics, making it serve their own selfish end." That's the reason I've admired the justice SRT serves ever since I was little.

"But SRT Special Academy, they don't care about politics or their own selfish desires. They only want to preserve justice, not letting it be tainted by any kind of corruption." I can feel myself breathing heavily, my heart pumping a little faster. He looks at me straight with widened eyes and a smile.

"I see... even if meant that things would get easier for you, you wouldn't accept support from those you deem evil." To that, I eagerly nod my head, happy to know that he understands. "Like the NLU." ... And what is that supposed to be?

"The Nameless Liberty Underground, rebels who fought tyrants without exception." Wow, whoever those people are... they're no doubt brave. "No support from any government, no popular support from the masses, hell, no support from anyone but themselves and they were still a massive headache for the Bremen Empire, Eastern Union, and Rondon." Amazing! To still put up a fight with barely anything, yet still fighting three entire nations to a standstill... that's nothing less of superb!

"But yeah, they wouldn't have gotten anything done in the long run." He said, with a dejected tone and expression. Now why would you say that?! "They had nothing, they weren't even in the masses' minds. They couldn't overthrow the tyrants, couldn't beat their armies, couldn't do much of anything to be honest." I... I can see how that reminds him of our plight.

"But I did remember this Defense Secretary person's proposal of keeping SRT afloat." I widen my eyes to look at him with... hope? Anticipation? That SRT will stay. "Huh, speak of the devil. That person is right there looking at us through that mirror." I follow where he's looking to the spy mirror... wait, don't tell me-?!

"You have x-ray vision?! Are you looking at their nude figures?!" I shout out to him, catching him off guard as for the first time. I see him in a flustered, blushing expression.

"N-no, Gods no!" He said, shaking his head side to side as he vehemently denied my accusation. "She heard me say something about my mind reading from earlier and ever since, she's been introducing herself to me in her mind." He explained as he quickly regained his composure.

"Oh, she's panicking." He said with slight worry, looking om through the spy mirror. Of course she would be panicking. "She didn't actually think I was serious."

"She's a politician, of course she would panic. You're about to find out about whatever ulterior motives she has!" He gives me a side eye, obvious amusement in his eyes and smile.

"And she still wants to help you." He said, yawning as he stood up from his seat. "I'm gonna talk to her now, don't give the poor police girls any headaches." He said, opening the door and going through before closing it again.

... yeah, I guess I'll do just that.

Levi P.O.V

"I.. I am S-Shiranui K-Kaya, Chief of D-Defense of the A-Administration Board of the GSC." The Pink haired girl with a GSC uniform stuttered out, visibly uncomfortable at the fact that I was reading her mind.

"Don't worry, I won't read your mind." I said, not changing my expressionless face because it's funny how she looks so comically afraid of me. She's even sweating and trembling in an excessive rate. "Administration Board? Chief of Defense? Is the first like a parliament or something?" To my words, Kaya as she called herself nods her head frantically.

Chief of Defense? Like a Minister of War? Kivotos doesn't seem to have any external threats, so that kind of makes sense.

"Administrator Rin didn't tell you?" She asked, forcing herself into a confident smile. She just looks pathetic now instead of whatever look she was going for with how the edge of her lips are trembling. Anyway, I shake my head as a no. "T-Truly, a woman of f-few words, isn't she?" Kaya, it's too obvious you're hiding something.

"And it's getting really tempting to just unveil your thoughts like I'm tearing your clothes off." Hmm, when I was finally getting used to my thought to speech it decided to flip on me... or am I just really losing it? And why did I word it out like that?!

Kaya has a frozen expression, just looking at me, unsure of how to react or what to say. She takes a step back as her face darkens a little in fear, along with a slight blush.

"Moving on, the Administration Board?" I said with my arm raised, showing that I won't try anything. She snaps back to our discussion, clearing her throat to speak up.

"The General Student Council processes all of Kivotos' administrative tasks, the brunt of which is handled by the Administration Board." She explain, finally having the composure to speak plainly. Now that I notice, she's barely opened her eyes.

"And I'm part of the defense office!" She exclaimed with a proud smile. "We're hard workers who keep all of Kivotos safe from any possible threats." She sure sounds confident with herself.

"So, you lead the police force and the army?" As far as I know, thats what she and her underlings are responsible for.

"Kind of, Kivotos doesn't have an army." Is that why you girls couldn't fix everything before I was sent here? You really didn't have a force to deal with the worst case scenario?! "Yeah, Kivotos has been in chaos ever since the President disappeared. Political unrest, uncertainty, the whole shebang!" What does the last one even mean?

Alright, I know I said I wouldn't, but-!

[Mind Read]

Damnit, it was already bad enough that he entrusted all of the authority over the Sanctum Tower to Rin herself, having us ask her for permission to do just about anything. But the fact that he can read minds?! My scheme will be out in a jiffy in the blink of an eye. But thankfully, he seems to be following his word of not doing that.

... I see.

"If it weren't for y-!!" She couldn't speak out her words as I gripped her cheeks, squeezing it until her lips looks like it's pouting. She tries to back away but can't, she can only hold my arm with both of hers trying to pry it away.

[Intimidation]

"I didn't even need to read your mind." I growl out to her as I bring our faces closer, glaring as I did. "You're gonna keep begging Rin for everything, nothing will change about that." She finally opens her eyes... and I see fear and shock.

"I know I said I wasn't reading your mind." I say, gripping her cheeks a little harder, almost making her spit a little. "But I don't take kindly to my kindness being used for your convenience, understood?" She's trembling, but she slowly forces herself to nod.

"Now, how do you plan to help SRT, or just the Rabbit Platoon?" I ask, loosening my grip on her cheeks a little. Just enough for her to blurt out some words. "Make it short."

"T-They were supposed to be under the President herself, witho-" I give her cheeks a quick squeeze to shut her up, letting her know that's too long of an explanation and she's testing my patience. "Y-You! Have the Rabbit Platoon join Valkyrie and I'll c-convince those under my influence to veto the SRT closure." She said, her confident look from mere moments ago gone, now just trembling in fear.

"And why can't they just fully stop it?"

"T-the Fox Squad, a s-senior SRT squad attacked and i-injured many of the GSC higher ups!" Hmm, is that so?

"They already said they don't want to join Valkyrie." To my words, Kaya just freezes, trying her best to control her breathing. She's still trembling a little, and heavily breathing as well.

"Y-You decide! Instead of the Disciplinary Committee deciding their fates, you do as you see fit!" She desperately shouted, trying to step away but her feet simply slides in the smooth floor. "U-until I can convince the others to reinstate SRT, the Rabbit Platoon is under your command."

"I won't read your mind this time, give me a guarantee that you'll follow through your words." She's nearing the end of her already crumbling composure, her eyes watering.

"I'll do it! I swear I'll do-"

The squeek of the door opening up had us both widen our eyes. We turn to see Officer Kanna, along with two of her police girls... blushing? Gushing at the site of Kaya and I.

"S-Seriously?! Assaulting our Chief of Staff like that at your first meeting?!" Kanna screamed out in exasperation, a slight blush in her cheeks and irritation and disbelief in her eyes. "I thought you would be better than that!" At her words, I let Kaya's cheeks loose.

I feel her force her hand off her cheeks and just sprint through the door, Kanna making way for her, and bumping into the two police girls who are busy... fantasizing?! About what we were doing?!

"I... I'm thankful for your support in the interrogation." Kanna starts, pausing as she looks at me with caution, positioning her body as if to protect her two underlings. "You're not gonna... assault us like you did Chief Kaya, will you?" Said two police girls are only blushing, and have that... look in their eyes.

You and Chief Kaya were doing something naughty, right?!

One thought to herself. I want to curse Rher, but I can't deny the uses of mind reading.

It's forbidden love! Like in those naughty novels and books! They're definitely doing t-that behind everyones back!

The other one... is not any better.

"He can read your minds." Kanna said as she turned to look at those two police girls behind her in a deadpan way. The take a moment to realize what she said before their faces darkened and blushes in embarrassment. "Dismiss!" Kanna commanded, not even letting them say their apologies.

They saluted before rushing away, closing the door as they left. "So, you mind explaining that?" The dog girl turned to glare at me.

"She was acting and thinking suspiciously." I explained with a tired sigh. She only narrows her eyes at me, hardening her glare. "She was thinking about a scheme my mind reading would've exposed, complaining that I gave Rin all the authority of the Sanctum Tower." Her eyes softens and closes as she lets out a sigh.

"Yeah, she looked a little afraid when I first told her you could do that." Kanna said, looking back at me. "She dismissed it... until you said it outloud back in the interrogation room." She looks tired.

She moves aside, opening the door and motioning for me to leave the office. "I'll call if I need you, Sensei." Sure, if you really need it.

Miyu P.O.V

We're... out of jail?

"Hey, everyone." Squad leader Miyako greeted, with a tone of suspicion and doubt. Yeah, why were we let out in the first place?

"Miyako... Thank goodness." I say with a sigh of relief. I hear Saki returning Miyako's greeting.

"Oh? You're all here?" Moe, nonchalant as usual with lollipop in her mouth. "They finally ran out of questions, and lollipops so I'm out of here." So she says, she looks like she couldn't care less about our predicament.

"Moe! They're not letting us go like that!" Saki angrily said to Moe, walking to her aggressively until they were face to face. "We're all here because they've decided our sentencing." She said, with a slight tone of resistance.

What are we gonna do? Where are we going after this? I can only think about the worst case scenarios...

"Levi-Sensei said he was talking to Defense Chief Shiranui Kaya about letting SRT stay afloat." Miyako said with a tone of hope, yet still in doubt. He will? He really will?!

"As if! I'm not forgiving him for breaking my babies!" Moe shouted out, still not forgetting about her stockpile of explosives being lost. I... but he's the only one who can help us.

"Yeah no, I'm not trusting a mind reading creep even with how he promised back then." Saki said with disgust as she visibly trembled in fear. I mean, having someone peaking through the sanctuary that is my own mind would be scary.

"Hey! Long time no see, sniper girl!" Uwagh! I turn to the source of his voice. It's him, wearing a... sincere smile looking at me. "Are the glass all out of your eyes?" He said with concern. To which I hastily nod my head, stepping back until I saw Miyako's back and hiding behind her.

"It's you!" Moe shouted in anger, glaring as she tried to contain her fury. "You're gonna pay for my babies!" Oh come on! Those can be replaced, Moe! Please calm down.

"It's him... the Schale Sensei." Saki muttered to herself in disbelief.

"So how was the talk?!" Miyako asked loudly, eyes wide in anticipation for his answer.

"I scared her off." We all freeze at his words. What does he mean? Did he scare off Defense Chief Kaya?! That makes things even worse! "She was scheming something, and I... over expressed how upset I was." So he said... yeah, he was scarier when he first appeared in the news.

"She first asked me to have you girls transfer to Valkyrie." I see Miyako and Saki glaring and shaking in fury at his words, Moe looks like she couldn't care less. And I... I'm afraid. "She then told me you four would be under me until she can have other people at the Administration Board let SRT back on the map." He explain as brief as he could.

"R-really?! You meant it?!" I couldn't help but let that out. I mean, we get to keep our homes!

"Miyu! You shouldn't believe everything that's being told to you." Saki held me, stopping me from getting closer to him. "So, Sensei, what's your guarantee that she'll follow through her words?" Asked Saki with caution and a hint of hope.

"She sounded desperately sincere, saying she'll do it several times." You mean... she really meant it? Then how did you scare her off? "At least she was when I had her by the cheeks." He said with a wicked smile forming on his face, making a squeezing motion with his hand... oh no.

"You did what to her?!" Miyako shouted in ab exasperated tone. "Levi-Sensei! You assaulted the Defense Chief!" Yeah, he did. Saki looks on with... fear? And even Moe looks scared.

He doesn't look like he cares about their concerns, he only pulls out his phone and... speaks to it? "Arona, call Kaya's phone for me, will you?" Does he have an AI assistant, or is he just crazy and talking to himself? Please let it be the latter one.

As it started ringing, he approached us. Saki brings her hands up to a martial arts stance, Miyako tenses up as she pulls her arm back to shield me behind her.

He then hands his still ringing phone to Miyako, who reluctantly takes it.

"Hello?" She asked, waiting with a look of concern and caution in her face. She then makes a look of surprise. "This is Rabbit Platoon leader Miyako, yes." She introduces herself to the other person, Chief Kaya if Sensei's words are to be believed.

"Y-you really mean it?! You didn't just say that out of fear?!" Miyako asked with doubt, before she makes a face of relief. "I see, thank you, ma'am." She said as the call ended, and she handed Sensei his phone back.

"Can we believe her? Chief Kaya was one of many who voted to close down SRT." Saki asked with scepticism.

"Yes..." Miyako trails off with a look of sadness. "Our senpai's, the Fox Squad attacked the GSC, hence why they all voted for it's immediate closing." They... did? ...

"So yeah, you're all free." Sensei said. Does tha- "No, Miyu." Of course not, why would I think that?

"If you girls have nowhere to go, then the Schale building apparently has living quarters no one is using."

"Suspicious..." Yeah, I kind of agree with Saki here.

"Seriously, you're obviously plotting something lewd once we're there." Ok, thats a little too much Moe.

"Thank you, Levi-Sensei, but we'll take our chances by ourselves." Squad leader Miyako said, walking past him with haste. Moe and Saki follow after her, and so do I.

I take a look at Levi-Sensei one last time before I go through the door, he's just smiling and waving. I smile and wave in return before I leave and follow those three.

Levi P.O.V

Hmm, the situation with those platoon girls was tiring, but it's my job and responsibility I guess.

I'm back to walking around Kivotos, holding the Shittim Chest with Arona leading me, showing me a live broadcasted map of where I am, and where the nearest academies are.

[Sensei! Trinity is really close, and I'm tracking Miss Hasumi's phone to be really close by.] So Arona said through a radio like distortion in her voice. Yuuka is waiting for my supposed prosthetic to be finished, and Chinatsu along with her group is most likely resting after what happened earlier, so might as well with how close I am to Trinity. [Her Momochat message says she's asking for your help.]

"Alright Arona, lead the way."

Hasumi P.O.V

My chat to Levi-Sensei is seen, but he has yet to reply. Come to think of it, I remember the Acting President saying he's not used to our technology. He's probably still figuring things out, and he still needs rest from the 30 kilometer march in his first day along with whatever was happening in his hometown.

Huh? I felt my phone vibrate for a moment, pulling it out, I take a look at who- it's him!

[Levi-Sensei: behind you, Hasumi.]

Hmm, did he have someone type this, or was it speech to text? Regardless, I turn around to face him-

I felt something impact my wings!

Startled, I turn my head to see- eh?! Levi-Sensei?! Our faces are inches away from eachother! I subconsciously take a step back, feeling my cheeks fluster and my pulse beating faster from the startle.

"Hey, Hasumi!" He eagerly greeted with an awkward smile. "Sorry I scared you." He said as he scratched the back of his head.

"I-It's nothing Sensei." I blurted out, heart still pumping from the fright he gave me. "Anyways, take a seat. I already had a cake ordered for you." Hmm, he's looking around a lot as he took his seat.

"Wow, everything here looks like the very definition of rich in this place." He said, eyes wide with wonder at the district. He considers this place rich? I could've sworn this was at most middle class. "There's a class for being rich?" He asked with an incredulous, surprised voice. Wait, did he just... respond to my thoughts?

"Yeah, mind reading, remember?" Oh... right, he wasn't kidding about that. As I thought that, the shop waiter finally had our orders delivered to our table, finally. "These look like it could give me diabetes or something." He said with a smile, slowly holding the silverware and taking a scoop of the cake.

I want to refute those words of his, but he shouldn't be interrupted when he's smiling like that. He looked so miserable when we first saw him, when he was leading us, when he was hurt and unleashed his magic, and when the withdrawal of whatever he was taking finally came.

He deserves happiness, amd he deserves it uninterrupted. I take a scoop out of my butter pudding and start filling my mouth with it, the sweet taste and soft consistency overflowing in my tongue.

"You look happy." I heard Levi-Sensei say with a smile, and traces of icing on his lips.

"Yes, I've always loved sweets." I said as I took another bite, this time from the chocolate croquembouche. "I would've joined the After School Sweets club if not for the Justice Task Force." I said after swallowing it, the sweetness of it tracing down my throat as it went down.

"So what was it you needed my advice for?" Oh right, I asked for that.

"Well... it's about my diet." I said with a slight feeling of emberassment. After all, a lady shouldn't gain too much weight.

"Dieting? That thing models do?" He asked with a single eyebrow raised in confusion. No Sensei, normal people also do it. "But Hasumi, you're already more beautiful than most of the magazine models I've seen before." Huh?! That's... completely out of nowhere! And magazine models? I... of course, he's still a man after all.

"It's not about that, Sensei. It's about my weight." I said, my distress leaking out of my voice. I take a bite, this time from the cheese tart in between my explanation. "No matter what I do, I've been gaining weight recently!" I said aloud with audible desperation, which was gone by the time I took another sweet bite.

Hmm, why is he just staring like that? Like I'm saying something ridiculous, the same way we looked at him when he was talking about a moon gods mind reading blessing.

"Really... Hasumi?" Why does he sound like he doesn't believe me? Wait, perhaps he's already seen the root of the issue. "You have... like seven plates of sweet treats." ... My goodness! How did I not notice that!

"You can still lose weight without giving up on sweets." Really?! I can't help but lean over, interested for more information. "It's literally a problem you can run away from." He said with a slight smile that then turned into chuckles. I... how does that work?

"If you're too lazy for even that, then you can just walk." I really don't get it.

"You know how you sweat when you're tired?" He said, sounding a little tired of me. Yes, that's obvious enough. "Put it simply, the more you run or walk, the more you sweat. That means burning fat through physical exertion instead of letting it build up." Is that so? Despite being close to my age, he has such wisdom.

But... I really don't like the feeling of sweating, how my clothes just stick to my skin as if it were glued. But then again, Levi-Sensei spent some of his time for me. I guess I'll give it a try, the halo festival is just a few months away... maybe I can participate as an athlete this year!

Hmm, what's that green flickering behind him? It's barely visible, but the colors behind it and my focused eyes found it before it flickered out of existence... was it a ghost?!

"But yeah, I don't think that weight of yours is going away soon." I... excuse me! Levi-Sensei, you shouldn't speak to a lady like that! "I mean... those are really big, bigger than Miss Karin... " He trails off worh widened eyes. Wait, what was he referring by really big?

Wait! Back in Acting President Rin's office, he was muttering about us being bigger in the chest area than two other adult woman he knew. Oh... he is a man after all.

I thought as I felt myself blushing, looking away shyly. "Can I touch them?" Eh?! So direct!

How do I even respond to that?! "F-fine, but you have to promise not to tell anyone!" Oh my, now I've done it. This is... going to be really inappropriate. "And lets move to a secluded area first." I moved, and he followed, not taking his eyes off me for even a moment.

/

We're... finally by ourselves. In this dark alleyway where no one would even think about looking, we're by ourselves.

"Well, Levi-Sensei. D-do as you p-please!" I said, closing my eyes in emberassment with my heartbeat going into over drive as I wait in excitment and anticipation.

...

...

...

Huh? I feel him... touching, caressing, hugging one of my wings. I hear him sobbing, crying silently... I felt some droplets of water on my wing.

I open my eyes to look, and see Levi-Sensei crying as he hugged ont of my wings...

"Miss Karin was a journalist, she covered wars." He said with some sobbing. I see, what a brave woman she was, even without a halo as everyone would be where he came from. "She thought of herself as a Valkyrie, carrying the stories... of those who have suffered, for the masses to learn about." That is... no doubt admirable. I learned about the mythological namesake of the Valkyrie Police, but for someone to be like them...

"But the jealous Moon God had to stomp on her, curse her!" He cried, tears falling from his eyes as if it were from a bottle. For a god to be jealous of a human... "She was moonscorched, forcibly transformed into a bastardization of what she stood for." He's finally calmed down, yet he's still sobbing. Moonscorch? Transformation? He's already proven magic to be real... so a god cursing humans is...

"I-I'm sorry, Hasumi." He looked up to me, still sobbing as he apologized for whatever reason.

"Nonsense Levi-Sensei." I said, coming closer to him, wrapping my wings around him and patting his head with my hands. "If I remind you of such a brave woman, then I'm honored that I remind you of her." To that, he gives me a smile... and some tears of joy.

A/N: this was supposed to be longer, but I was doing something else. I may, or may not write and upload the other 10k half I was planning to include here, it's already been a week since last update so here's a chapter.

Me waiting for big daddy DDD777 to leave a comment:

I don't know why I picked Zhong Xina of all things to put here. I don't even know if it fits or looks alright with my phones glorious 16:9 display, at least I think its that ratio.
