(AN) Hello and welcome to the next chapter of Scorpion Rain; hope you all enjoy.
In the last chapter, Zedd and his army began their invasion. Will the rangers be able to defeat the army and destroy Serpentera for good?
Disclaimer: I don't own Power Rangers; all characters and locations are owned by Hasbro and Netflix.
Chapter Three
The teens watched on in horror as Zedd Putties and Tenga Warriors attacked various citizens. Serpentera was currently destroying buildings and presumably firing on innocent civilians.
"What do we do now?" asked a worried sounding Rocky.
"No idea," replied Tommy, feeling utterly helpless, "Best thing we can do for now is head back to the power chamber and see if Zordon has any ideas."
The rest of the group nodded in agreement. The teens made their way into a nearby alleyway, and after ensuring that nobody was watching, they tapped their wrist communicators and teleported away.
The rangers teleported into the power chamber. Alarms were wailing and Alpha was racing about the chamber.
"Rangers: I'm assuming that you're aware of the current situation?"
"Yeah," uttered Adam in dismay, "I'm not sure if we can stop Zedd and his forces this time."
"Though the situation may seem dire, I believe there is a way we can get through this." assured the wizard.
"What is it?" asked Tommy.
"I have been in contact with Billy and the Alien Rangers," informed Zordon, "They have been informed of the current situation and have formulated a plan that may defeat Rita and Zedd's forces once and for all, but I must warn you: their plan is extremely dangerous and could result in the complete loss of your powers, or even more severe; your lives. I will understand if you do not wish to take such a risk."
"I don't think we've got much choice, "If it's the only way to stop Rita and Zedd, then I'm all in."
"Me too!" declared a determined Kat.
"Count me in as well." put in Tanya.
"We're with you all the way." said Adam.
"No matter the cost." added Rocky.
"Very well," said Zordon, who was moved by and proud of the rangers' determination and loyalty, "Billy had been working with the Aquitar rangers on a way to combine the Zeo zords with their own zords, and they believe that they have succeeded in doing so."
"Can it still work with only two zords?" asked Adam curiously.
"Yes it can," confirmed the wizard, "The big risk is that this combination of zords will require energy from the Zeo crystals. Energy from the crystals will be slowly drained and may result in the complete loss of the Zeo powers. The worst case scenario is that you may be killed by the energy drain or by at the jaws of Serpentera."
"Well, that's just a risk we'll have to take." declared Tommy; the others nodding in agreement.
"Billy and the Aquitar rangers will be waiting for you on the outskirts of Angel Grove," informed Zordon, "Good luck, Rangers, and may the power protect you."
"Okay, let's do it guys!" declared a determined Tommy as he and the others pulled out their morphers and activated them, "It's morphin' time!"
"Zeo Ranger One: Pink!"
"Zeo Ranger Two: Yellow!"
"Zeo Ranger Three: Blue!"
"Zeo Ranger Four: Green!"
"Zeo Ranger Five: Red!"
The five rangers quickly teleported themselves into the outskirts of Angel Grove. Waiting just a few feet away from them was Billy and the Alien Rangers; the latter of whom were already fully morphed.
"Hey guys!" greeted Billy excitedly as the group rushed over to him.
"Great to see you, man." said the Red Zeo Ranger as he and Billy shook hands and hugged.
"Same to you." replied the young man.
After everyone had greeted each other, Billy turned to face the others with a serious expression on his face. "I'm guessing Zordon explained the risks to you."
"Yeah," replied Rocky, "I know we all agreed to do it, but I can't help feeling a little bit nervous."
"That's understandable," agreed Aurico, "But if we don't do this now, it will be the end of everything."
The group looked over at Angel Grove and could make out burning buildings and could hear people screaming in fear and sirens blaring.
"Well, what are we waiting for; let's finish this!" said a determined Green Zeo Ranger.
"We need Zeo Zord power; now!" cried the Red and Pink Zeo Rangers in unison.
At the same time, the Alien Rangers summoned the Battle Borgs.
The zords quickly arrived.
The Red and Pink Zeo Rangers jumped into their cockpits.
"Right, combine power!" ordered Tommy.
The two zords and the Battle Borgs combined and formed a large Megazord that resembled a hybrid of the Zeo Megazord and the Aquitar Megazord.
Tommy and Kat found themselves in a large cockpit with the other Alien Rangers.
"Oh man, this is awesome." commented the Pink Zeo Ranger.
Tanya, Rocky and Adam looked up at the giant Megazord in astonishment.
"That's so cool." remarked Adam.
"You can join us as well," came Cestro's voice, "We're going to need all the power we can get in order to fight Serpentera.
"You've got it, Cestro." called back Adam.
The three remaining rangers teleported into the large cockpit and inserted their parts of the Zeo Crystal into slots in the console.
"Megazord is now at full power." announced Aurico.
Goldar was laughing to himself as he continued to rain terror down on Angel Grove. The gorilla-like creature turned Serpentera around and cried out in shock at the sight of the Zeo-Battle Borg Megazord.
"Oh no!" cried Goldar in shock, "They must've gotten new powers!"
"Don't just sit there blithering!" snapped Rita's voice, "Destroy them!"
"As you wish your nastiness!" sneered Goldar.
The Megazord stopped as Serpentera slowly approached. Serpentera fired a beam of red energy from its mouth, pushing the Megazord backwards. The giant robot suddenly ran towards Serpentera and punched it in the face, sending the metal serpent flying backwards into a building. Acting quickly, the Megazord rushed over, grabbed Serpentera and attempted to fling it into another building, but the metal snake managed to wrap itself around the robot before firing a beam of energy straight into its face, causing Megazord to be thrown into a building.
Inside the cockpit, the rangers all cried out in alarm as the cockpit shook and the consoles sparked.
"That thing's nearly unbeatable." remarked Tommy.
"Don't worry, I have an idea." said Corcus.
"What is it?" asked Aurico.
"We're going to have to activate the self-destruct mode." responded the Black Alien Ranger in a grim tone of voice.
"A-are you sure?" asked the Red Alien Ranger nervously.
"No," replied the other ranger, "but what other choice do we have?"
Aurico and the others nodded in understanding. Aurico flicked a few switches. "Activating self-destruct sequence." he said.
The Megazord got to its feet and charged towards Serpentera before grabbing the metalic snake and holding it tightly, the giant robot then took off into the sky; flames burning at the bottom of its feet.
"What's going on!" cried Goldar in alarm.
Inside the Megazord cockpit, alarms wailed and a female voice was counting down.
"Get ready to teleport out of here on my signal." ordered Aurico.
As the Megazord flew into space, it shot off like a bullet and was soon hovering high above Rita's palace before exploding into a fireball that sent a now flaming Serpentera falling towards the palace. Upon impact, what was left of Serpentera exploded, engulfing the entire palace in a massive fireball.
Thankfully for the villains they had noticed, but it was only Rita and Zedd who managed to escape.
"My beautiful palace!" cried Zedd furiously, "IT'S GONE!"
"AAAAAAHHHH! I'VE GOT A HEADACHE!" wailed Rita in despair.
Both sets of rangers teleported back into Angel Grove before suddenly demorphing. They looked arounds and could see no Zedd Putties or Tenga Warriors; just the carnage that they and Serpentera had left behind.
"Well, all our zords are gone," lamented Tommy, "but at least we've defeated Serpentera."
"Yeah; sorry about that," replied Aurico, "You should probably head back to the power chamber: I'm sure Zordon will want to congratulate you."
Tommy and the others nodded in agreement before teleporting away.

Sorry to anybody expecting more from Bulk and Skull: I just couldn't think of any way to fit them into the main story without ruining their Countdown to Destruction moment.
The next chapter will wrap up this story and tie up any loose ends.
