A/N: Please read and review, as this one turned out longer than I thought.

Shoutouts:

dimasmagin4: I don't know how I would use them, since I haven't seen many team-ups between them and Spider-Man, unlike the X-Men, the Fantastic Four and the Avengers, so probably not this season at least.

At the FEAST Center at night-time on Friday 18th of March, Aunt May was helping a man into a chair, as he'd hurt his ankle, while Rio came over.

"Let's see how it is." she said, crouching down.

The man put his right leg up on another chair, as Rio began to look at it.

Aunt May smiled as she turned and walked off, seeing other helpers all around, helping the homeless. A man poured soup into bowls on a table, as some of the homeless picked one up each, along with a spoon, before walking off. She also spotted a few homeless children sitting around a woman, who was reading 'The Wind and the Willows'.

"It was a bright morning in the early part of summer; the river had resumed its wonted banks and its accustomed pace, and a hot sun seemed to be pulling everything green and bushy and spiky up out of the earth towards him, as if by strings." the woman read, as she was on chapter 6. "The Mole and the Water Rat had been up since dawn, very busy on matters connected with boats and the opening of the boating season; painting and varnishing, mending paddles, repairing cushions, hunting for missing boat-hooks, and so on; and were finishing breakfast in their little parlour and eagerly discussing their plans for the day, when a heavy knock sounded at the door.
'Bother!' said the Rat, all over egg. 'See who it is, Mole, like a good chap, since you've finished.'"

Aunt May smiled as she walked over to see if anyone else needed help. She spotted a few people watching TV in a corner of the room, then spotted a few lying down in their beds, reading a magazine, book or newspaper.

"I'm so glad Mr. Li set this up." she thought. "Prefect for all these poor people."

She smiled and turned around, as Rio came towards her.

"How's the man?" Aunt May asked.

"He'll be okay as long as he takes it easy." Rio said. "It's only twisted."

"Well, that's good to know." Aunt May said.

"Yeah, just wish I didn't have to work this long tonight." Rio sighed. "With Jeff doing the graveyard shift, and me working here, I'm lucky you allowed Miles to stay at your place tonight."

Aunt May smiled. "Well, hey, Peter can take of himself." she assured. "Besides, he set up a sleepover for them both with some of their other friends. I'm sure they're doing alright, Rio."

Rio smiled at her, hoping she was right.

Outside, somewhere in the Bronx, a teenage boy named Sam Alexnder, was walking down a street, with a backpack over his shoulder, and his hands in his pocket, sighing. He'd found out earlier that day that his Dad Jesse had gone missing, which was worrying him greatly.

"Just where did my Dad go?" he wondered. "I can't file a missing person's report unless he's been missing 48 hours, so no good going to the Police."

He kept on walking for about a minute, when he heard a clanking noise, making him stop. He ran down the street towards an alley, then peeked out into it, seeing it was empty.

"Huh?" he muttered.

He turned around and spotted some people dressed like punks across the street, making him move into the alley. He hid behind a dumpster, then peeked out from it, as the punks turned to each other.

"The Boss wants us all to meet him on the rooftop at that warehouse down the street." one explained.

"Well, let's get over there." the other said. "I'm eager to find out what's going on."

They both walked on down the street, as Sam stared at them both.

"I better check this out." he thought. "They might know where Dad is."

Ten minutes later, on the rooftop in question, the two thugs came out of the roof entrance, and approached several more men. Among them, was their leader, who was called Powerhouse, AKA Rieg Davan, a Xandarian humanoid alien, which were also the others.

"Well, Boss, we're all here." one said, who had Mohawk hair.

"Good." Powerhouse said. "It won't be long before our hostage cracks. Jesse Alexandar is not that tough. We'll soon have what we need to stop the Nova Crops."

"So, we just have to stay here on this planet until that happens?" one of the men asked, who had shoulder-length hair.

"Yes." Powerhouse said. "It shouldn't take more than a few days at most."

"That Alexandar won't last long." Mohawk grinned.

"He sure wouldn't." another said, who had red hair. "No one's withstood torture from a Xandarian method."

"What did you say?" came a cold voice.

Powerhouse and the others all turned around, and saw Sam hovering above them, wearing a black and gold suit, with a red star symbol on the gold helmet.

"Oh, look who it is? Daddy's little boy, come to the rescue?" Powerhouse scoffed.

Sam scowled and fired a beam from his right hand, but missed as Powerhouse dived away, along with most of his men

"Where's my father, you fiends?!" Sam demanded.

"You think I'd just tell you like that?" Powerhouse smirked, snapping his fingers. "Not a chance, Samuel!"

He created an energy projection beam from both his hands, then shot them at Sam, followed by some of his men. Sam flew up higher into the sky to dodge them all, with one just missing him by inches.

"Ha, you missed!" he mocked.

"Lucky!" Powerhouse scoffed. "Or perhaps not."

He fired more beams from his hand, as Sam moved to fly away, but then one hit the back of his left leg.

"Ah!" he moaned.

He shot down from the sky and landed on the rooftop, rolling along on his side.

"Your Dad didn't train you well." Powerhouse scoffed. "The Nova Crops did a bad job choosing you to wield that power."

"I'm just as good as being Nova as my father was!" Sam roared, getting up. "Now, where is he?"

Powerhouse scoffed as his men all laughed.

"You'll never see your dear old Dad again." Powerhouse scoffed. "Once we're through with him, the Nova Crops will be finished, and then we'll have no further use for him."

Sam/Nova frowned and flew towards him in anger, before all his men fired beams at him, three hitting his chest and knocking him down.

"AH!" he moaned.

He hit the rooftop and rolled onto his chest, as Powerhouse and the others laughed.

"Come on, boys. Let's get back to the hideout." he said.

A little later, Nova woke up on the rooftop.

"Oh!" he moaned, as his vision cleared.

He lifted his head up and scratched the back of his helmet, but he saw no sign of Powerhouse or his men.

"I will find you, Dad." he promised. "No matter what."

He then pushed himself forward and flew off, leaving a jet of light behind him.

Unknown to him, Daisy Johnson had spotted him through a pair of binoculars, as she was on her way to report to SHIELD, before she'd spotted Nova.

"Hmm?" she muttered, lowering the binoculars. "Looks like we might have another recruit. Better call Spider-Man to ask to try and get him."

She took out her phone, then began to dial Peter's number.

Meanwhile, at the Parker House, Peter, Gwen, Harry, Mary Jane, Miles and Anya were all in the sitting room, having a game of Monopoly on the floor. Since Miles was spending the night due to his parents, Peter decided to invite the others over to spend some time together, as well as sleepover that is, so they weren't alone. The version they were playing was mostly stranded but had vehicle themed tokens. Anya was a helicopter, Miles a sports car, Harry a jet, Mary Jane a boat, Peter a race car, and Gwen a bike.

"My turn." Anya said, picking up the dice.

She shook them in her hand, then threw them down, with one ending on a '4', the other a '3'.

"7." she said.

She moved her piece along the board, stopping on St. James place, which had been brought by Harry.

"Oh! How much do I owe you?" she asked, annoyed.

"200." Harry answered, as he had two houses on there.

Anya huffed and picked up the money, then handed it to him. Harry so far had the most money, as he had 3 of the 4 railways, as well as four other properties with at least one house on, unlike the rest.

"Thank you, Anya." he said, taking the money.

"Oh, laugh it up, Harry." Anya said. "We'll see who wins in the end."

"But when this game gonna end?" Miles asked.

"Whoever runs out of money first." Gwen said.

"Oh." Miles said.

"Miles, you gonna go." Peter said. "It's your turn."

"Sorry." Miles said.

He picked up the dice, then shook them, then rolled them along the board, with one landing on '5', and the other on '3'.

"8." he said.

He moved his piece along the board, but then landed on the 'Go to Jail' square.

"Go directly to jail. Do no pass 'Go', and do not collect 200 dollars." he sighed. "Oh, great."

"Sorry, Miles." Mary Jane smirked.

Miles picked up his piece and moved it to 'Jail'.

Mary Jane went next, then rolled the dice, which scored her a 9, one being a 3, the other a 6.

"9." she said.

She picked her piece along the board, then landed on a Chance square.

"Chance." she said.

She picked up the card and held it up.

"Bank pays you dividend of $50." she read.

Gwen smiled and picked up a 50 from the box, as she was the banker as well, then handed it to Mary Jane.

"My turn." Peter said.

He picked up the dice and rolled them, with one landing on a 4, the other a 2.

"6." he said.

He picked up his piece and moved it along, and landed on Pennsylvania Railroad, which was one of the three owned by Harry.

"How much?" Peter asked.

"100." Harry answered.

Peter gave him 100 dollars.

"Here you go." he said.

"You've got that typical Parker luck tonight, Pete." Harry joked, taking the money.

"Hey, it's not over yet." Peter said. "You might end up losing it all."

They all laughed at his joke, just as his phone rang, making him pick it up, seeing it was Daisy.

"I'll be right back." he said, getting up.

He winked at Gwen, telling her it was important, then she nodded as he walked off into the kitchen.

"My turn." Gwen said, picking up the dice.

Peter stopped by the window, then put the phone to his ear.

"Hi, Daisy." he said quietly.

"Kid, I think I found a new recruit for you and Gwen to find." Daisy explained.

"O-kay." Peter said slowly.

"Look, I know it's late at night, so if you can try and start finding him tomorrow, that'll do." Daisy said.

"Right. I understand." Peter said. "I'll let Gwen know as soon as I can."

"Oh, by the way, you should see the news tomorrow before leaving your house" Daisy advised. "The beginning of Trask's trail's beginning."

"Okay, thanks." Peter said.

He turned and walked back into the sitting room, then sat down as Anya picked up the dice. Gwen had moved to Pacific Avenue, which she owned, while Harry had landed on Visiting Jail.

"You didn't roll much, Harry?" Peter asked, as he'd been on Oriental Avenue before.

"Yeah, only a 3." Harry sighed. "Who was that anyway?"

"It wasn't your Aunt May, was it?" Miles asked.

"Nah." Peter said, as Anya rolled, scoring a 3 from one dice, a 5 from the other. "Just a friend of my parents."

"The same guy who told you about your long-lost sibling?" Anya inquired, picking up her piece.

"Well, not quite. Somone who knew their friend, who I met not long after that." Peter explained.

"You mean-?" Gwen began.

"Yeah." Peter said.

Anya put her piece down on Illinois Avenue, which was owned by Gwen, with only one house.

"How much?" she asked.

"100." Gwen said.

Anya handed her the money, as Miles picked up the dice.

The game lasted over another hour, and it was fun for them all. In that time, Harry had added another house to 3 of his properties, including St. James Park, while Peter, Gwen and Anya added one onto one of theirs, with Anya also buying the Electric Company, and Peter and Gwen another each. Mary Jane had put a hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, as it already had four houses on. Miles on the other hand, had only managed to buy Vermont Avenue and B&O Railroad - the only one Harry didn't have - as he wound up in Jail twice more, and had to pay his way out both times.

He picked up the dice and rolled them, scoring a double 5.

"10, and it's a double." he said, picking up his piece. "That means I get another turn."

He moved his piece along the board, but landed on Pennsylvania Avenue.

"Oh, no!" he gasped. "And with a hotel?"

"That's 1400 dollars, Miles." Mary Jane said, holding her hand out.

Miles gulped and picked up his money and counted it, finding out he didn't have enough.

"I can't pay." he said. "I've only got 11-50."

"That means you're bankrupt." Mary Jane joked. "You've lost."

"That means the game's over." Anya said.

"Oh, man!" Miles moaned, giving Mary Jane his money.

"Everyone count up." Harry said.

He, Peter and the girls counted up their money.

"1463." Anya said.

"1204." Gwen said.

"1945." Mary Jane said.

"1035." Peter sighed.

"Well, I've got 2350." Harry said. "So, I win."

"Nice one, Harry." Gwen remarked.

"Yeah, way to go." Peter said.

"Thanks." Harry said.

Anya turned and looked at the clock, seeing it was nearly 10pm.

"It's nearly 10." she said. "We better get to bed. I promised my old friends I'd hang out with them for much of the weekend."

"I agree." Mary Jane said, yawning. "I'm getting tired myself."

"Okay, remember, you girls get the new spare bedroom we've been setting up." Peter said.

"What's that for?" Miles asked.

"For when his new long-lost sibling finally shows up." Mary Jane answered, as she'd been helping them set it up.

"Well, who takes the bed?" Anya asked. "I'm only asking."

"Since MJ helped set it up, I think it's only fair she gets it." Peter said. "No offence, Gwen."

"None taken, Peter." Gwen said. "I understand. Besides, I brought my sleeping bag over, so I'll be okay."

"Okay. You girls take the bathroom first." Peter said. "Harry, Miles and I pack everything up and then go in once you're finished."

"Okay." Gwen said, as the girls got up.

"See you in the morning." Anya said, as they turned around.

"Night, boys." Mary Jane said.

They all turned and began to walk up the stairs, as the boys packed up the game, wrappers and glasses they had, as they'd had a few snacks, and either sodas or juices while playing. Miles and Peter both walked into the kitchen with the glasses, then put them on the bench and washed them up, while Harry put the game and pieces back into its box. Once that was done, he picked up the wrappers and put them in a nearby bin, as Miles and Peter washed the glasses up, with Miles washing and Peter putting them away, which took them just a few minutes.

"Well, that's the last of them." he said, putting the last glass away.

"I'm glad 'cause I'm tired." Miles said, yawning.

"Come on then." Peter said. "You know where the bedroom is."

Miles nodded as all three boys walked towards the stairs and then up them. Once upstairs, they entered Peter's bedroom, to give the girls a chance to do their teeth and that.

"How long do you think they'll need?" Miles asked.

"Just a few minutes." Peter said, before looking at the clock. "I'm sure one of them will knock when they're finished."

Just then, a knock came on the door, then Harry opened it, as he was closest, then saw Mary Jane standing on the other side.

"We're finished in the bathroom." she said. "You boys can go in."

"Thanks." Harry said.

They kissed each other briefly, before Mary Jane walked off towards the new room. The boys all walked out of the bedroom, seeing Gwen and Anya standing near the door, which Mary Jane then opened.

"You girls go ahead." Gwen said. "I'll be there in a minute."

Mary Jane and Anya walked into the new bedroom, as Gwen approached Peter, as Miles and Harry entered the bathroom.

"So, who was it?" Gwen asked.

"Daisy." Peter whispered. "She's found someone we need to check out."

"Another recruit?" Gwen whispered.

"Yeah." Peter whispered. "I told her we'd start tomorrow morning."

"Okay." Gwen said.

She kissed his cheek, before she turned around.

"See you tomorrow, bugboy." she teased.

She opened the door as Peter stared at her, before she closed the door behind her after entering the room. She saw Mary Jane was lying in the bed, while Anya was getting into her sleeping bag, as she approached her own.

"Well, night-night, girls." she said, getting into it.

"Night, girls." Anya said.

"See you tomorrow." Mary Jane said.

All three girls fell fast asleep together.

The next morning, Peter got up before Harry and Miles, then rubbed his eyes as he sat up. He got out of bed and crept past them both, then opened the door slowly, and left the bedroom. He walked downstairs yawning, stretching his arms, but then saw Gwen in the kitchen, who he approached while smiling.

"Morning, Gwen." he said, wrapping his arms around her from behind.

"Morning, Pete. You're up just in time for breakfast." Gwen teased.

Peter kissed her cheek and smiled.

"Is MJ and Anya awake?" he asked.

"Anya's in the bathroom and MJ's in the sitting room." Gwen explained. "Harry and Miles' still asleep?"

"Yeah." Peter said. "I'll be in the sitting room till you're done."

"If Harry and Miles aren't awake in 5 minutes, they're gonna miss out." Gwen teased.

Peter chuckled as he walked into the sitting room, seeing Mary Jane sitting on the couch, reading a magazine.

"Morning, MJ." he said.

"Morning, Pete." Mary Jane said. "Your sibling's gonna love that bed when he or she finally arrives."

"I take it you slept well in it?" Peter inquired.

"Bingo." Mary Jane smiled. "You know, I've been wondering."

"What?" Peter asked.

"About what your sibling looks like." Mary Jane said. "Is he or she gonna look a lot like you, more of your mother than you, or a mixture of your parents."

Peter looked over at the picture of his parents on the fireplace, wondering the same thing.

"I've been wondering that myself." came Harry's voice.

Peter turned and saw Harry and Miles coming down the stairs.

"Up before us, eh Pete?" Harry inquired.

"Yep." Peter said. "Morning, Anya."

Harry and Miles turned to see Anya coming down the stairs, wearing a shirt and shorts.

"Morning, guys." Anya said, wiping sleep from her eyes.

"Morning." Harry said.

"Uh...morning." Miles said, blushing.

Anya sniffed the air.

"Um, what's cooking?" she asked.

"Gwen's cooking breakfast." Peter said.

"I'll be ready in a few!" Gwen called.

"Might as well sit down and wait." Harry said. "There's no way we can all fit at that table."

"True." Peter agreed. "But when she calls, we are getting our own."

"Fair enough." Miles said.

He and Anya both sat down on the floor, as Harry down beside Mary Jane, while Peter sat down on the couch beside them, while turning the News on.

"Why are you putting the News on for?" Anya asked.

"Aunt May and I always do it before school." Peter explained. "Besides, that person who called last night said there's something I need to see."

"Why's that?" Miles asked.

"It's about Trask." Peter explained.

"The man who killed your parents and caused that Rhino Rampage?" Mary Jane inquired, putting her magazine down.

"Yeah." Peter said. "I need to see this."

"I think we all should." Anya said. "Remember, my Papa was badly hurt during that?"

"Guys, I'm done!" Gwen called. "Come and get it?"

They all got up and walked into the kitchen, then picked up their breakfasts, then all six teens walked into the sitting room. They each had some bacon, eggs, wheatcakes and a slice of toast, then they all sat down, with Gwen taking the floor with Miles and Anya.

"In other news, the Trail of Bolivar Trask begins today, the man who was arrested on February 22nd for numous offences, including the Rhino Rampage last November." the Newsman reported, as they began to eat.

"It's taken them nearly a month to get his trail going?" Harry inquired.

"I guess they've been busy." Peter said.

"The prosecutor lawyer is Jennifer Walters, cousin of the Avenger Bruce Banner, also known as the Hulk." the Newsman continued, as her picture popped up in the top left corner, showing she had brown hair.

"Ha. I'd like to see Trask got off easily with her around." Anya said.

"Same here." Gwen smirked, eating her toast.

"Nice of her to do that as a favour to all the heroes of this city." Mary Jane said.

"Well, if she's the Hulk's cousin, she must be close to the Avengers at least." Peter said, as he and Gwen already knew that.

"As for his defence, lawyer Cameron Hodge has been appointed as his Defendant." the Newsman said, as a picture of a blonde-haired man with glasses popped up beside Jennifer's picture.

"Well, now all we have to do is wait and see what happens." Gwen said.

"Let's hope it doesn't take long then." Harry said.

"Hey, Gwen, I gotta admit, this is good." Miles said, eating some wheatcake. "Almost as good as my Mom."

"Why, thanks, Miles." Gwen said.

"Come on, guys." Peter said. "Let's eat up and get dressed. We do all have plans, remember."

The others smiled as they kept on eating while watching the news, ready to begin their day.

Later, Nova was flying through the city, searching for Powerhouse or any of his goons. Since he had heard his Dad had been kidnapped, he'd now been able to tell the Police, who'd begun searching, which he was grateful for.

"I will find those goons." he thought.

He flew past a few towers, then stopped and hovered over a street, looking down it.

"They can't hide from me forever." he thought. "I will find you, Dad. I promise."

He shot off like a rocket and flew down the street.

"If those goons hurt you in any way, I'll make sure they pay for it." he vowed.

Meanwhile, inside a warehouse, four Xandarians - including Red - were staring at a man who was tied up and gagged to a chair.

"He didn't talk last night." one said. "What makes you think he will now?"

"He won't last long before he cracks." Red assured. "The Boss'll make sure of that. This just might take a little more time."

The man lifted his head up as Red approached him, who then took off his gag.

"You ready to talk yet, Jesse Alexandar?" Red asked.

"Never!" Jesse spat. "I'll never tell you the secrets of the Nova Crops!"

"Even after that beating Powerhouse gave you last night?" Red inquired, tutting. "You really are stubborn."

"I'll die before I tell your Boss anything!" Jesse snarled.

"You're just as annoying as your son is." one of the others said, shaking his head.

"Leave Sam out of this?" Jesse snarled.

"He really was keen to know where you were last night when he tried to attack us." Red smirked. "Pity he wasn't a match for us. You really didn't train him well, did you."

Jesse growled before Red put the gag back over his mouth.

"You'll soon crack from our interrogation, one way or another." Red sneered. "Till then, you just sit there and behave yourself."

His men laughed as Jesse glared at him, hoping his son was alright.

At the same time, Peter stood outside FEAST, as his Aunt May had been forced to spend the night there working, before he approached the door. He opened it up, then walked inside, seeing several people eating food at tables, as workers handed them it. He looked around as he walked through the building, looking for Aunt May, when he saw her with Rio up ahead near a table.

"Hey, Aunt May." he said.

"Oh, Peter. What are you doing here?" Aunt May said.

"Just thought I'd see how you were going, since you had to stay overnight." Peter said.

"Oh, well, we're fine." Aunt May assured. "We made them breakfast earlier."

"Some of them we're pretty hungry, Peter." Rio said.

"I can see that." Peter said, looking around.

"So, how was the sleepover you had with your friends?" Aunt May asked.

"And did Miles behave himself?" Rio asked.

"Oh, it was great." Peter assured. "And Miles did behave himself, Mrs. Morales."

"I'm glad to know." Rio said. "I just wish Jeff would be home tonight like he said he would."

"Hey, it's not your fault this happened." Aunt May said, touching her shoulder.

"Um, do you mind telling me what's wrong?" Peter asked.

"Oh, nothing." Rio sighed. "My husband just told me there's a missing person's report he has to investigate."

"What kind of missing person's report?" Peter asked.

"A kidnapping." Aunt May sighed. "This boy around your age apparently phoned the Police saying his Dad had been kidnapped."

"Oh." Peter said.

"Jeff's on the team assigned to find him." Rio explained. "I hope he finds him quickly. I wanted to spend the night with him and Miles like a family."

"I'm sure they will." Peter hoped. "Well, I'll see you later, Aunt May."

Aunt May smiled and kissed his forehead.

"See you, Peter." she said. "Have a nice day."

"You too." Peter said.

A little later, Sam was walking down a street with his backpack over his shoulder. He looked around, before he moved down into an alley, then put his backpack down. He then took out his helmet from his backpack, then put it on, then his suit came over him.

"Time to find you, Dad." he said.

He shot up and began to fly away over the city.

Peter walked down a nearby street, before he saw Nova fly right over him and away.

"Whoa! Talk about speed." he said. "That must be who Daisy called me about. I better let Gwen know."

He took out his phone and dialled Gwen's number, before putting it to his ear.

"Gwen, I think I've just met the guy Daisy told us about." he explained. "But get this, he flies like a rocket."

(Elsewhere)

Ghost Spider was standing on a rooftop looking at the city.

"He what?" she exclaimed.

(Peter's area)

"Yeah." Peter said. "Catching him's not gonna be easy."

"Well, good luck." Ghost Spider said. "I'll track you through your phone and catch up."

"On it." Peter said.

He turned and ran into an alley to change into Spider-Man.

Meanwhile, Nova was flying through the city, looking around carefully for any sign of a Xandarain to hopefully lead him to his father.

"Come out, come out, wherever you are?" he thought.

He stopped and hovered for a minute, looking around, before he saw some people on a taller rooftop. He shot towards it out of curiosity, then stopped near the edge and peeked over, seeing about six Xandarains, including Powerhouse and Mohawk.

"Perfect." Nova thought.

"You really think he'll come?" Mohawk asked.

"He'll come." Powerhouse assured. "The way he looked determined last night, he'll show up, sooner or later."

"You're right!" Nova roared.

The Xandarains all turned around and saw him shoot up and hover above them.

"Figured you'd show up." Powerhouse smirked.

"Where's my father?" Nova demanded.

"Is that all you think about?" Mohawk scoffed, making his friends laugh.

"You better answer, or I'll knock you all out until one of you talks!" Nova roared.

"You think so?" Powerhouse smirked.

He clicked his fingers, then about another 20 Xandarains came onto the rooftop.

"What?!" Nova gasped.

"You really think you can take on all 26 of us by yourself?" Powerhouse smirked. "You don't stand a chance."

Nova clutched his fists angrily, determined to save his Dad, regardless of the numbers he was up against.

"We'll see about that!" Nova roared.

He fired beams from his hands at the Xandarains, but only hit one as the rest all managed to dive away, knocking him down onto his back.

"Oh!" he moaned.

Nova shot down towards them all like in a rocket in anger, knocking two down as he flew over them, before a third grabbed his leg from behind.

"Hey, let go?!" he demanded.

He turned and saw this one was a stronger than most, who squeezed his leg.

"AHH!" he moaned.

"Have it your way?" the Xandarain smirked.

He spun around and threw Nova away, who hit the edge of the rooftop on his back.

"OH!" he moaned.

He shook his head and looked up, as two Xandarains came towards him.

"You're lucky we need you alive." one smirked, punching his fist.

"With you hostage, your Dad's bound to talk for sure." the other sneered, cracking his knuckles.

"Take him, boys." Powerhouse said.

Nova braced himself as both Xandarains moved to punch him, when a pair of webs hit both Xandarains from behind and pulled them away.

"Huh?" Nova muttered, lowering his arms.

He looked up as the other Xandarains looked around, seeing the Spider Duo land on the rooftop.

"Hello there." Ghost Spider smirked.

"Looks like we've caught the right fish, eh, Ghostie?" Spider-Man joked.

"You said it, Spidey." Ghost Spider smirked, before pointing at Nova. "And it looks like he needs help."

Nova frowned slightly, as the Xandarains turned from the Spider Duo to him.

"Boss, what do we do?" Mohawk asked.

"Kill them all!" Powerhouse ordered.

The Xandarains split up and attacked the three heroes, who seperated along the rooftop.

Ghost Spider dodged and ran past one as it tried to punch her, before she jumped and kicked its back, knocking him down. She then ducked and leaned back as another tried to whack her with its arm, before she grabbed it, then she tripped him up, flipping him back onto his back.

"Shocking." Ghost Spider smirked.

Her Spider-Sense tingled, making her turn, before a larger Xandarain rammed her hard, sending her flying off the rooftop.

"Oh, webs!" she gasped.

She shot a web with her right hand, which stuck to the wall, then she swung up and around the building. The Xandarian looked down the building, but saw no sign of her, before he turned around, seeing her shoot down towards her.

"What?" he gasped.

"Looks like you've seen a ghost!" Ghost Spider joked, webbing him up.

"AH!" the Xandarain moaned, hitting the rooftop floor.

"And you're down for the count." Ghost Spider laughed.

She turned and rushed off to fight some more.

Nova flew over and fired beams at two Xandarains, but missed as they dived away, but then he flew down and rammed another with his fists, knocking him down and out. He then turned and flew towards Powerhouse, who was watching the fight, allowing Nova to get near him unspotted.

"Over here!" he roared.

Powerhouse turned, just as Nova rammed him and knocked him away across the rooftop.

"AHH!" he yelled, before hitting the rooftop.

Spider-Man dodged as one tried to punch him, before he grabbed his forearm, and then punched his belly, knocking him to his knees. He turned as another came charging at him like a bull, before he jumped up.

"Toro! Toro!" he joked, as the Xandarain landed on his friend.

Spider-Man landed on the rooftop, then turned around as Mohawk came towards him, before he punched him right in the face, sending him flying across the roof, stopping near Powerhouse, who pulled himself up.

"Are you okay?" Powerhouse asked.

"Yeah! Boss, let's get outta here!" Mohawk yelled, getting up. "These spider people are helping the kid clobber us!"

Powerhouse looked around, seeing Ghost Spider web yank one of his men towards her, before she punched his face, knocking him down and out. He then saw Spider-Man jump and split kick two, then back flipped away and shot a web at another, trapping his leg against the rooftop.

"Fine! Let's see how our friend is doing!" Powerhouse roared. "Retreat!"

"How we do all escape through?" Mohawk asked, as some of the others ran off.

"Leave that to this." Powerhouse smirked, bringing out a small grenade device.

Nova turned and gasped at the sight of it.

"Look out!" he yelled.

Both Spiders turned around, just as Powerhouse threw it down, creating a loud scream which made them all cover their ears.

"AHHH!" they moaned, falling down onto their chests.

Powerhouse, Mohawk and the remaining Xandarains helped or freed their trapped friends, before they all quickly ran off and jumped off the building. As Mohawk ran however, Spider-Man spotted him and tossed a Spider Tracer at him, which stuck to the back of his foot.

"Gotcha." he said, putting his hand over his ear again.

He turned just as the screaming noise stopped, then got up and turned to Ghost Spider and Nova.

"Spidey, you okay?" Ghost Spider asked, getting up.

"I'm fine, Ghost. You?" Spider-Man asked, approaching them.

"Yeah." Ghost Spider said. "I'm not sure about him though."

She pointed at Nova, who pulled himself up, as the Spiders approached him.

"That was one loud noise." Ghost Spider admitted.

"I know. I thought my eardrums were gonna bust." Spider-Man said.

"They would've, if he'd used more than one." Nova said. "I've faced those things before. Not nice."

"Thanks for the news." Ghost Spider said, folding her arms.

"I'm Nova by the way." Nova said.

"Spider-Man, and this is Ghost Spider." Spider-Man said, as Ghost Spider waved. "Why were you fighting those guys anyway?"

"I was tracking them down, but now I need to find them again and quick!" Nova frowned. "And it's thanks to you two, I lost them!"

"Hey, if it wasn't for us, you'd be dead now!" Ghost Spider snapped.

"Hey, clam down!" Spider-Man said, touching her shoulder. "I'm sure he didn't mean it."

"Look, you don't understand!" Nova argued. "They've got my father! If they make him talk, we're all doomed. I thought by catching one I'd find out where he is and rescue him, since I doubt the Cops will be able to."

"He's the guy who filed that kidnapping report to the Police." Spider-Man thought, feeling sorry for him.

"Nova, don't worry." Ghost Spider said. "We'll help you find him."

"How?!" Nova snapped.

Spider-Man held up his Spider Tracker.

"I put a Spider Tracer on one of their legs." he explained. "It's a homing device. We'll be able to track them down and find out where your father is, if you allow us to help."

Nova's eyes widened under his helmet, but nodded.

"Okay, deal." he said.

The Spider Duo nodded, then they jumped off the rooftop and began to swing off, with Nova flying after them both.

A little later, in the warehouse, Powerhouse and his men all approached Jesse, who looked up at them all.

"You ready to talk now?" Powerhouse asked, taking off Jesse's gag.

"Never!" Jesse spat.

"Perhaps some motivation will change his mind." Red suggested.

"Good idea." Mohawk agreed, cracking his knuckles.

Powerhouse moved his head closer to Jesse.

"We just saw your son earlier." he said, before he began walking around Jesse. "He seemed pretty angry about us holding you. He even filed a report to the Police in order to find you."

Jesse turned left, then right as Powerhouse walked around him.

"We nearly had him too. Thought we'd bring him here to make you talk, but he got help, forcing us to retreat." Powerhouse said.

Jesse watched as he walked off slightly.

"Why don't you make it easier for him? Tell us what we want to know, and you'll go free and see your son again." Powerhouse said.

"Even Sam wouldn't want me to give up what I hold to see me again!" Jesse snarled. "He'd rather find me himself."

Powerhouse stopped in front of him, with his back to him.

"You still refuse to talk?" he said.

"I won't tell you anything about the Nova Crops!" Jesse spat.

"I see. Then I'm afraid you give us no choice, Alexander." Powerhouse said.

He turned around to Jesse.

"You're forcing us to use the most extreme method to make you talk." he said. "So, make it easy on yourself."

Jesse spat at him in defiance.

"Very well." Powerhouse said. "Begin the interrogation. If you don't talk under this, you will die."

"We'll see about that!" a male voice yelled.

"Huh?" Powerhouse muttered.

He and his men all looked up, as Spider-Man and Ghost Spider jumped down through a skylight and landed near them all.

"Surprise!" Ghost Spider teased.

"What...? How did you find us?" Powerhouse demanded.

"A little bug told us." Spider-Man joked, holding up his Spider Tracker.

Powerhouse growled while his men looked shocked, just as Nova came flying in.

"And they didn't come alone!" he roared, hovering above the Spider Duo.

Jesse looked at Nova and smiled.

"You step away from my father, Powerhouse!" Nova roared.

He flew off towards two of the Xandarians, knocking them both back with his fists as he did, before he turned and hovered in the air.

"We're putting an end to this, you fiends!" he roared.

"Hey, I was gonna say that!" Spider-Man complained.

"So, you're the famous Spider Duo we've heard about?" Powerhouse smirked.

"Oh, look at that, they're fans of us?" Ghost Spider teased.

"You let this man go, who or whatever you are!" Spider-Man demanded.

"Like we'd do that!" Powerhouse scoffed. "Get 'em! Kill 'em all!"

The Xandarians all charged at the three heroes, as Nova flew down towards one and punched its chest, knocking him away.

"Let's give him a hand, Ghostie?" Spider-Man said.

"I'm with you, Spidey." Ghost Spider said.

She jumped and pounced forward, then kicked one of the Xandarians with both her feet, then she turned and shot a web from both her web-shooters, hitting another two and pinning them to a wall.

"Ah!" they moaned.

"Sometimes, I love this job." Ghost Spider grinned.

She jumped to her left and then punched ones chest as he came at her, knocking him out.

Spider-Man jumped and kicked one as he came at him, then he ducked as another tried to punch him, before he punched him in the face, knocking him out cold. His Spider-Sense tingled, then he back flipped as one tried to punch him from behind, making him miss.

"Huh?" the Xandarian gasped.

Spider-Man then kicked him in the back with both feet, then somersaulted backwards away as the Xandarian hit the floor.

"OH!" he moaned.

Spider-Man landed and turned to Red and Mohawk, who both came towards him. He then jumped and dived forward, kicking Red away, knocking him down near a wall.

"Oh!" he moaned.

Mohawk moved to punch him, but missed as he dodged, then he grabbed Mohawk's arm and threw him over himself.

"AHH!" he yelled.

He hit the wall near Red, who rubbed the back of his head.

"Just how'd they find us in the first place?" Red moaned.

"They said a bug told them!" Mohawk mumbled. "I wish I knew what that means."

Red looked at Mohawk, and saw the Spider Tracer on the back of his boot.

"You idiot!" Red scowled, taking it off. "You're the one the tracker's on!"

"Oh, great!" Mohawk moaned.

They both turned to Spider-Man, before he webbed them both up.

"You just sit right there until the Police arrive." Spider-Man joked.

Nova flew around the room, knocking several down as he did, before he stopped near Powerhouse.

"Your new friends impress me, kid." Powerhouse admitted. "But it still won't help you from saving your Dad!"

"We'll see about that!" Nova snarled.

He shot towards Powerhouse to punch him, but missed as he dodged, making him stop and turn around. Powerhouse then sent a punch at him, but Nova put his forcefield around him, making Powerhouse hurt his fist.

"Ah!" he moaned, backing away, shaking it.

"Just gotta keep him busy until his thugs are knocked out." Nova thought.

He looked and saw Ghost Spider kick one Xandarain in the chest, before she back flipped and kicked another's chest behind her. He then saw Spider-Man ducked as one tried to punch him, before he uppercut him in the chest, knocking him up, then he jumped and punched him in the back, knocking him onto the chest out cold.

"Ow!" he yelped, shaking his hand. "I forgot about that!"

"Figured." Nova smirked, lowering his shield.

He shot two energy balls from his hands, but missed as Powerhouse ducked to avoid them both, before they hit a wall.

"Ha! You need to work on your aim, kid!" Powerhouse grinned.

Nova growled and shot towards him in anger, but this time Powerhouse managed to punch him in the chest, knocking him back.

"AHH!" he moaned, back flipping away through the air.

He hit the floor on his side and looked up.

"Looks like I've won, kid." Powerhouse smirked.

"Not quite, Powerhouse!" Spider-Man yelled.

Powerhouse looked up, and saw the Spider Duo jumped over him, landing on either side of Nova, who pulled himself up, making Powerhouse back away from them all.

"You've lost, you creep!" Ghost Spider snarled.

"Take a look around?" Spider-Man joked.

Powerhouse looked around, seeing all his men knocked out and webbed up.

"Give it up, Powerhouse!" Nova demanded.

"Never!" Powerhouse roared. "I'm outta here!"

He turned around and ran off towards a door, then ran out of it while breaking the door down.

"Let's get him!" Spider-Man said.

"We need to get my Dad out of here as well." Nova said.

"Ghost, get him out of here!" Spider-Man ordered. "We'll handle this."

"I'm on it." Ghost Spider said. "Good luck."

"You too." Spider-Man said.

He turned and swung off after Powerhouse, with Nova rocketing right behind him.

Ghost Spider turned and jumped towards Jesse, landing behind him, then she ripped off the ropes holding him around the chair.

"I've got you." she said. "Hang on, Mr.?"

She picked him up bridle style, then jumped up and swung up through the skylight with him.

Elsewhere, Powerhouse ran out of the building, then turned and went down an alley, before Nova showed up in front of him.

"Not so fast!" Nova roared.

Powerhouse turned around, only for Spider-Man to land in front of him, trapping him.

"Uh-oh." he gulped.

"You ready to give up?" Nova asked.

"Never!" Powerhouse snarled.

"I was hoping you'd say that." Spider-Man smirked.

"Huh?" Powerhouse muttered.

He turned around, just as Spider-Man webbed him up with webs from both his web-shooters, trapping him in a cocoon.

"AH! Let me go?!" he demanded, falling onto his side.

"Can't do that." Spider-Man said. "You and your gang are about to spend a long time behind bars for this."

"About that, I doubt the Cops here will be able to hold them all, web-head." Nova said. "They're not exactly normal people. They're not even Earthlings."

"They're not?" Spider-Man questioned.

"No. It's a long story, but I doubt the Police will be able to hold them in a normal jail." Nova said.

"Well, luckily, I know some people who can and will be able to hold them." Spider-Man assured.

Nova looked at him confused. "Eh?" he muttered.

Later, Spider-Man and Ghost Spider stood with Nova on a rooftop, who was looking at his father. Down below, they saw SHIELD taking Powerhouse and his men away onto ships. Nova had now told the Spider Duo about the about the Xandraian race.

"You asked SHIELD to take them in?" Ghost Spider inquired.

"According to Nova, a normal jail won't be able to hold them." Spider-Man said. "Hopefully, Coulson can help explain it to the Police."

"I hope so." Ghost Spider said. "Still, I never thought we'd end up fighting aliens."

"Me neither." Spider-Man said. "But in this world, anything is possible."

They both turned around to Nova and his father, as Nova took off his helmet.

"Dad, are you okay?" Sam asked.

"Yes, I'm fine, son, thanks to you and your new friends." Jesse said.

Sam turned to the Spider Duo as they came towards him.

"I wouldn't say 'friends', Dad." he said. "We only just met."

"Oh." Jesse said.

"It's true, we found your son being attacked by some of those Xandraians." Spider-Man explained.

"Just how do you know these people?" Ghost Spider asked curiously.

"We're part of a special space force called the Nova Corps." Jesse explained. "It has secrets very few in the galaxy have."

"Let me guess; in the wrong hands, it's dangerous." Spider-Man said.

"Yes." Jesse said. "Now, why were you looking for my son?"

"We've been asked by a friend of ours to find heroes for a certain team." Spider-Man explained.

"She saw your son last night and told us to investigate him." Ghost Spider added, folding her arms.

"Whoa! Wait up?" Sam said, holding his hands up. "Me?"

"Yep." Spider-Man said.

"But it's your choice." came a familiar friendly voice.

Jesse and the three heroes all turned and saw Iron Fist and Power Man standing near them, the former of which had spoken.

"Iron Fist." Ghost Spider said.

"Power Man." Spider-Man said.

"Daisy told the team about SHIELD taking a bunch of guys into custody." Power Man explained. "She sent us to find out if you'd found the kid."

"Well, we did." Spider-Man said.

"What makes you think I'd join you?" Sam asked.

Jesse touched his son's shoulder.

"Can I have a word with him for a minute?" he asked.

"Sure." Iron Fist said.

Jesse led Sam away slightly, before turning to him.

"Son, I need to go into hiding in space, to report to the Nova Crops what happened." Jesse said. "And you need to learn discipline. I can't do that while I'm in hiding, but these guys can. Try it for me, at least?"

Sam looked from his Dad to the Spider Duo, to Iron Fist and Power Man.

"It's your decision." Ghost Spider said. "We're not gonna force you to join."

"She's right." Power Man said, as Iron Fist nodded. "We weren't forced to join but we took it."

Sam turned back to his father, then sighed.

"Okay. I'll try for you, Dad." he said, putting his helmet on.

"Glad to have you onboard." Power Man said. "We'll take you to our base."

Nova moved towards them both, before turning to the Spider Duo.

"Thanks for helping me save my Dad." he said. "See you around."

"See ya, Nova." Spider-Man said, as he and Ghost Spider waved.

Nova followed Iron Fist and Power Man as they jumped down from the rooftop.

The Spider Duo turned to Jesse, as he approached the other end, then began to climb down the fire escape.

"Well, this has been one weird night." Ghost Spider said.

"Sure has." Spider-Man said. "Speaking of which, we better get home. Even though it's Saturday, there's still curfew."

"I know." Ghost Spider said. "I'll see you tomorrow, Spidey."

"Same here, Ghostie." Spider-Man said.

They both jumped off the rooftop and swung off, glad to get this night over with some sleep.
