Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 2
Sam and his accomplice would soon get their chance to start their plan because a couple of days later Derek and the rest of the team where wheels up and heading to California, Sam smiled when he was told the news, it seemed that he had ears all over the place, even in the FBI building.
It seemed that he had been seeing a young woman named Natalie who was on the same floor as the BAU and she had accidentallytold him of the BAU's case and how they were gone to California, that they had been called out around 11 on serial killer case, he then contacted his "friend" to let her know that their plan would start tonight to which she quickly and happily agreed.
Sam would keep dating Natlie for appearances sake because she was very useful to him and his plan, so tonight he'd take her out to dinner and then after he'd dropped her off he'd head to Penelope's apartment to get her because while he was out to dinner his accomplice would do the first step in their plan so that he could swoop in and claim the prize.
As the day continued Penelope worked hard for her team, she was looking into the lives of the victims to see if they had anything in common and nothing that she was doing was working out, no matter what she tried she couldn't find anything other than the victims were the same age and all had birthdays in the same month.
Hotch had told her to call it a night and head home and get some much needed rest, she told him that she was okay and wanted to stay and work a little longer to which he insisted that she head home, she finally agreed and after filling Kevin in on the searches she had going on, she grabbed her things and headed home.
Before she walked out the door she said, "good night Kevin", he smiled at her and said, "good night plumsauce", she laughed and said, "I'll see ya tomorrow", he said, "sleep tight", she said, "thank you, I think after a nice, hot bubble bath that I'll do just that", the two smiled at each other again before she turned around and headed out of her lair and headed up the corridor to the elevator.
Sam was out on a date with Natalie, they were laughing and talking, he glanced down at his watch and inwardly smiled because he knew that right about now Penelope would be getting home and he knew that from the minute she stepped into her apartment that the woman he loved would never be the same.
Penelope was exhausted when she walked through her apartment door, she shut and locked her apartment door and then stepped inside and headed across to her fridge but she'd never make it, she felt a pinch to the side of her neck, she raised her hand to touch her neck and turned to see a figure standing there.
She opened her mouth and said, "w w what are you doing here?", she felt her eyes growing heavy, she could feel darkness consuming her, she looked at the figure and for a few split seconds she could clearly see who it was and she said, "what, how did you get in here?", the person laughed at her.
Penelope tried to walk away but the figure followed her and said, "you're not going anywhere Penelope", she twirled Penelope around and said, "you've lost, you've lost everything", Penelope dropped to her knees on the floor, the woman dropped down beside her and said, "don't worry I'll take good care of Derek for you".
After hearing Derek's name she looked up and said, "why, why?", the woman laughed and said, "we belong together and with you gone we will be just that together and when he's moaning my name, I'll smile knowing that I will be with the man I love and you will be with the man that loves you".
Before darkness finally claimed her she said, three final words, "why Savannah, why", Savannah then watched as Penelope's body fell to the floor, a few seconds later there was a knock at the door, she walked over and looked through the peephole and smiled when she saw Sam and quickly opened the door.
Sam walked into the room and ran over to Penelope and said, "good job Savannah, now let's get her and get out of here, the last thing that we need is for somebody to see us", Savannah laughed and said, "don't worry, nobody has seen us, now grab your skank and let's roll".
Sam picked up Penelope and carried her bridal style out of her apartment and toward the emergency door at the end of the hall, Savannah followed and smiled as Sam put an unconscious Penelope into the backseat of the car, he then climbed in with her and held her tight while Savannah climbed into the drivers seat.
She looked through her rear view mirror and said "alright, let's get this party started", Sam grinned and said, "yes, let's" and the two laughed as she started the car and pulled away from the curve and with each second they were taking Penelope further and further away from home and her family.
