Kanako watched as Sanae cleaned the shrine of the mess her previous group of children made. Their babysitting business was a complete success. As far as she was concerned, no one was using Reimu's service.
In fact, nobody even remembered that it existed in the first place.
"Paying the Tengu was the best thing we've ever done," thought Kanako as she put up some pictures.
In reality though, the Tengu weren't the real reason for their sudden overnight success. Sure, the sudden recall did help but Suwako was the true hero of the Moriya Shrine. She had gone out and stayed up all night taking down every single one of Reimu's posters and modifying them to the best of her ability without letting people know.
"Kanako, I finished cleaning the mess and counted today's earnings," informed Sanae. "We have more than enough to not only party all year but also expand both our shrine and business."
"That's great then," replied Kanako. She stopped putting up pictures and got out some alcohol. "Let's drink to celebrate then."
Sanae gave Kanako an amused look. "We still have kids coming in tomorrow. We should stay sober until then."
Kanako sighed and put away the drinks. "Well then, what should I do? I'm getting bored."
"You can count the donations and funds we have," suggested Sanae.
"Boring and impractical," replied the deity. "We have so much money now, it's impossible to count it all. Still, I guess it's better than doing nothing."
Kanako got up and opened their donation box to count the funds. Before she could start though, she saw Suwako returning with a giant toad and a katana with a red and gold hilt.
"Suwako, how many times have I told you, no frogs in the shrine," scolded Kanako.
"Sorry," apologized Suwako. "But it's important we need to meet asap."
Kanako sighed and closed up the donation box.
"Alright then, but it better be important."
A few moments later, the entire Moriya Shrine was gathered around a table. On it were several cups of water, the paper Suwako brought back, and Ryusei's katana. Originally, Kanako wanted to have alcohol but Sanae's protest about kids appearing the next day was enough for her to switch to water instead. Even so, Suwako was the only one who went for the drinks.
"Okay now, what's the big issue?" asked Kanako.
"Does it have to do with that katana?" asked Sanae.
Suwako nodded. "It's one of them but it's not the main issue. This is."
She flipped over the paper to reveal Reimu's new babysitting ad.

"You're joking," replied a shocked Sanae.
Suwako shook her head. "I wish I was but I'm not."
"Babysitting youkai, is she crazy?" questioned Kanako.
"No, it makes sense," answered Suwako. "There are a lot of youkai kids in Gensokyo. In fact, they outnumber humans 10-1."
"How successful is she?" asked Kanako.
"Very. In fact, I recently saw her babysitting a large group of fairies. That's a solid 10000 to 20000 yen right there," informed Suwako.
"Then we need to shut it down," stated Sanae. "If this keeps up, we'll be the ones out of business, not her. Suwako, do you think you can modify the posters again?"
"Sanae, modifying the posters won't help. We can't babysit youkai and humans at the same time," informed Kanako. "We either pick one or the other. Even so, the youkai prefer Reimu over them. The only youkai that like us are the Kappa and Tengu because they live on the same mountain as us and are neutral in all of this."
"Not to mention, the posters aren't put up in any specific location like the previous ones," added Suwako. "These are either already distributed or put in a place that I can't reach. What's more concerning though is the amount of help she's been getting."
"Pfft. The only people who are willing to help her are Kasen, Yukari, and Marisa," commented Kanako. "Even so, those three can't get anything done. They're always fighting amongst themselves. Haha."
Suwako looked at Kanako menacingly, causing the wind goddess to stop laughing and look at her nervously.
"Uh… Right, so who's the helper?"
"An outsider," informed Suwako. She motioned to the sword. "One that's not only a skilled combatant, but from a completely different world."
Both Sanae and Kanako examined the blade with confusion.
"It looks just like Youmu's blades," commented Sanae. "Except, the hilt's a different color and design."
Kanako nodded. "Not even my wind powers affect the sword. Where and how did you get this?"
"I met the guy a little while earlier," revealed Suwako. "I never caught sight of his name but I did end up fighting him. He wasn't using the spell card system and had no clue on what it was in the first place."
"So how did he fight?" asked Sanae. "And how does he look?"
"He's a man that's around the same age and height as Reimu. His hair color is black and spikey," answered Suwako. "He fought me and my toad with that sword using various martial arts like Kendo, Kenjitsu, Iaido, Iaijutsu, Toyama-Ryu, and several others that I've never seen or heard of before. Not to mention, his armor and weapons were a bit strange for a samurai."
Suwako motioned for them to follow her outside where she had her toad open its mouth and extend its tongue which was missing a nice portion.
"Movies aside, I've never seen someone draw a heated sword from their arm and use it in this manner."
"Shouldn't it still be bleeding?" asked Kanako.
Sanae shook her head. "Since it was a heated sword, the wound closes quickly. Even so, there is no way you can heat up a blade that fast or even draw such a thing without facing some sort of consequence."
"My point exactly," confirmed Suwako. "Both the fighter and his armor were completely unaffected by the weapon's properties even after he sheathed it. Also, that katana of his can set itself on fire, create a powerful energy wave, and split into two. I just don't know how to replicate it since every time I try, it doesn't work."
"Interesting," commented Kanako. "And he somehow managed to take you head on and survive. How bad were his injuries?"
"None that I know of," informed Suwako. "He took the full blast of a bomb and came out unscathed. Not even his armor was scratched."
"Did he land any hits on you?" questioned Sanae. "And how did he escape?"
Her curiosity was hitting its peak and now she figured how invaluable this person could be.
"He managed to kick me and land three hits on my toad," answered the frog goddess. "He made a portal by writing the kanji for it in thin air with a paint brush. I don't know where he went though. What are your thoughts, Kanako?"
The wind priestess and frog goddess looked at Kanako expecting an answer. To their surprise, she was smiling.
"What an interesting fellow. I've never heard anything like this," Kanako finally said. "Sanae, if you have any time, I want you to prepare this weapon. It's been a while since I met someone this skilled and I haven't fought like this in a long time."
"Um, are you sure about this?" asked Sanae. "I don't mean to doubt your ability but I don't see any reason to fight him when we can just tell Yukari that he broke the spell card rules and disqualify him on the spot."
Kanako shook her head. "There's no fun in doing that. Besides, I haven't had this much fun since my last duel over 15 years ago. I'm not going to lose anyways. I still got the moves and all I need is my weapon and a little practice."
Sanae got up and picked up a broom.
"Alright. But it will take a while. What are we gonna do about Reimu's business though?" asked Sanae.
"I'm gonna pay the Tengu a little visit," informed Kanako. "All we need is a little misinformation and her business will be doomed."
Suwako smiled. "I'll help out. In the meantime though, can you look into expanding the age range for our own business?"
Sanae nodded. "Will do. I'll make it all the way up to infant age. Just give me a bit of time to plan things out a bit. Otherwise, we'll run out of room in the shrine."
With that, Kanako and Suwako grabbed their money bags and flew off to the Tengu village while Sanae remained behind to finish the two tasks she had been given.
