"So snacks are in the pantry and bedtime is at 9," informed Yamame. "If you need anything, give us a holler and I'll send someone to help."

Reimu smiled and looked at Kisume who was shyly hiding away in her bucket.

"No worries. I think we'll get along just fine."

Once Yamame left though, Reimu was hit in the back of the head with a doll but when she turned around Kisume was hiding in her bucket with a very shy and innocent look.

"Kisume, please don't throw anything," said the shrine maiden.

"I didn't throw anything," replied Kisume.

Reimu sighed as she went to the kitchen to prepare some food and also come up with some potential activities to keep Kisume entertained. As she put some frozen food into the microwave, the tsurube-otoshi quietly snuck up behind Reimu with a large bone in one hand and a large twisted smile on her face.

Lucky for Reimu though, she turned around just before Kisume could deliver the blow and the tsurube-otoshi quickly hid the object behind her back and gave Reimu a shy and innocent look.

"Kisume, what games do you like playing?" asked Reimu.

Kisume shyly hid more of herself in her bucket before answering.

"Board games and finger games," answered Kisume.

Reimu smiled and after plating the food searched the residence for board games. As she continued her search, Kisume followed her closely behind waiting for a chance to strike. However, Reimu sensed the danger each time and looked back to check on the tsurube-otoshi who had the same look on her every time.

Just as she found a board game on top of a fancy shelf in the living room and tried to get it though, she saw Kisume raising a large bone to strike her from the reflection of some glass and barely managed to dodge the blow. The bludgeoning object smashed into the shelf and destroyed a glass panel on one of the shelf's doors.

In response, Reimu quickly put the board game on a nearby surface and watched as Kisume ditched her innocent facade and lunged at her again with a sadistic smile.

"Kisume!" yelled Reimu as she dodged another blow. "Why are you attacking me?"

The tsurube-otoshi did not respond and simply tried to deliver another blow to Reimu's head but missed and hit an empty bowl on the living room table. She then missed again when Reimu leapt off a couch and landed on top of an armchair.

Reimu's first instinct was to grab something to defend herself but quickly remembered Aya's article and who she was dealing with. As a result, she ran to the kitchen, grabbed all the sharp objects and put them in her backpack where she knew the tsurube-otoshi would be unable to reach them.

Since she had no other choice, Reimu hid herself from Kisume but also tried to remain as close as she could to her so she wouldn't lose the dangerous child. It was a deadly game of hide and seek except, the hider had to remain close to the seeker. While Kisume hopped through every room in the house for Reimu in her bucket, the shrine maiden had remained on her tail and made sure to change her hiding spots every so often to avoid being caught.

This was easier said than done though since much of the furniture was not suitable for hiding the babysitter. Oftentimes, Reimu found herself hiding behind a chair praying that Kisume would not check there or under a table with much of her body exposed and in plain sight. If she got out of this alive, she was going to take a look into Ryusei's religion and make some serious considerations about converting.

Even though it seemed like the shrine maiden was losing, Reimu had begun looking for ways to disarm and tame Kisume without hurting her. By observing the bucket youkai's movements and actions, Reimu realized that Kisume lowered her guard every time she was near something that was easily breakable, belonged to Yamame, or pictures of her or the tsuchigumo.

She also noted that Kisume tended to head to the kitchen or other rooms in hopes of finding a sharp object that could be used to cut. With this knowledge, Reimu formulated a plan before getting out from under the table and pulling out her backpack. It was time for a magic trick.

Stepping out from under the table, Reimu held out her backpack and got ready to open it.

"Kisume! Are you looking for something?" asked Reimu.

The tsurube-otoshi turned to see Reimu opening the backpack and revealing over a dozen knives and sharp objects. All of which were taken from the kitchen and various rooms by Reimu prior to the hunt. Kisume paused in her tracks and lowered the bone club she had been holding and tried to reach out to grab one of the weapons.

"Uh–uh," shook Reimu. She pulled the bag away and held a hand out to stop Kisume from coming closer.

"You can't have these," informed Reimu as she closed the bag. "Not unless you stop trying to hit me and hand over that bone."

The tsurube-otoshi understood and moved back a bit. She then slid the bone to Reimu who in turn, tossed the backpack to her. Upon opening it though, the bag was completely empty and the tools were nowhere in sight.

"Where are they?" asked Kisume.

"Now Kisume," addressed Reim. "Remember what I told you?"

The tsurube-otoshi solemnly nodded while Reimu moved away from the table to reveal all the kitchen knives back in their proper location.

"H-how did you?" asked Kisume.

She was amazed by the little trick Reimu had pulled but still wanted to get the knives. However, Reimu stopped her by grabbing her hand.

"Alright. I'll stop now," agreed Kisume.

Reimu smiled and teleported all the objects back to their proper locations before sitting down and breathing a sigh of relief.

"Now about that board game," started Reimu.

"It's called Monopoly," said Kisume. "I play it a lot with Yamame when other people are present but right now, the game's at Yuugi's place."

"Wait what?" asked Reimu.

She opened the box to reveal nothing except for a few photos of Yamame holding what seemed to be a younger Kisume.

"Is that?" asked Reimu.

"Yeah that's me," replied Kisume. "I still have that blanket but it's a bit broken and she hasn't fixed it yet."

On cue, the tsurube-otoshi pulled out a battered white blanket with many holes and tears in it.

"I've asked her a lot of times and she promised to fix it when I finally win hide and seek without breaking anything," revealed the tsurube-otoshi.

"Is that why you were chasing me like that?" asked Reimu.

Kisume nodded. "We always play that game together but Yamame makes sure to web up all the sharp objects beforehand. It's a favorite game amongst the underground youkai but I always lose since I can't hide that well. I thought that someone like you would be easily beaten and I could get this fixed now but…"

"But I was a lot better than you expected, right?" asked Reimu.

The tsurube-otoshi nodded and pulled out another bone.

"Can we play again?" asked Kisume. "And let me win?"

Reimu patted the tsurube-otoshi on the head with a smile but shook her head.

"No, not today," said Reimu. "You've done enough for one day and I don't want to get hurt. Besides, more kids are coming in soon and it wouldn't be nice to leave them out right?"

Kisume nodded while the shrine maiden put away the large bone and went to get the food for them both. Once they were seated, Reimu watched as Kisume ate the food with a cheerful smile.

"So how's the food?" asked the shrine maiden.

"It's good. Kinda like Yamame's," answered Kisume.

"That's great," responded Reimu.

"Can you make onigiri?" asked Kisume.

Reimu paused to think before replying with, "Maybe tomorrow. I'll need more ingredients for that."

"Yay!"

"And you're on time out." added Reimu. "Until tomorrow after breakfast."

"Aww man," sighed Kisume. "Oh well, still better than most babysitters. I'll give you a good report tonight."

With that Reimu smiled as she prepared Kisume's sleeping area and got ready for the next day.

"I really hope she'll be a good girl while I'm asleep."

Author's Note: After careful consideration, I have decided to open up this story to requests on this site. Originally, this was restricted to Archive of Our Own users for easier access and order but since only one person is requesting, it's become rather ineffiencent. In any case, these are the standard rules:

1. If there is a specific character that you think Reimu should babysit next, write their name in a review or send me a private message.

2. Each character can only be done once for now and duplicate entries will be ignored. (Ex. First comment requested Wriggle, second comment requested Chen, third comment requested Wriggle again, and fourth comment requested Cirno. The order for who Reimu babysits will be 1. Wriggle, 2. Chen, and 3. Cirno)

**Since Reimu is currently underground, the first three underground youkai(after Kisume) that is requested down below will be prioritized over other requests. If there is a particular underground character that you want Reimu to babysit, please drop it in the reviews or message me.

Rules for underground youkai requests:

1. Character has the physical body of a child(Ex. Remilia, Flandre, Chen, Cirno, Rumia, etc.)

2. Characters will only be done once for now.

3. If there is a character that you want Reimu to babysit but does not meet the 1st condition, please comment them anyways as depending on who they are, I may make an exception.(Some examples would be Orin, Utsuho, Parsee.)
