Reimu scratched her head in frustration, flipping through a children's game book she had borrowed from the local underground youkai library. Kisume, perched on a nearby stool, swung in her bucket innocently.

"Alright Kisume," Reimu sighed, "Let's try something different. How about... Connect Four?"

Kisume's eyes lit up. Perfect. This was a gentle game, perfect for calming down the youkai child... or so Reimu thought. Moments later, Kisume slammed her fist down on the board, sending the red and yellow plastic discs flying.

"Gotcha!" she declared triumphantly, a mischievous glint in her eye. Reimu winced as two discs whizzed past her ear, narrowly missing a framed picture on the wall.

"Kisume," Reimu said carefully, picking up a stray disc, "those aren't supposed to be projectiles."

Kisume tilted her head, feigning confusion. Reimu sighed again, pushing the game book aside. There were just too many casualties.

"Hmm, how about... Tag?" she suggested hesitantly. "We could play outside in the courtyard."

A glimmer of hope flickered in Reimu's chest. Tag was a classic, surely Kisume couldn't –

Suddenly, the image of several large rocks flashed in Reimu's mind. The memory of their previous attempt at "tag" sent a shiver down her spine. Kisume got the grand idea to use several rocks to "tap" Reimu from a long range, only to nearly send her into a coma by using one, the size of a baseball.

Reimu forced a smile. "Maybe tag isn't the best idea today..."

Dejected, Reimu glanced at the discarded remains of other games. There was the mangled Jenga tower, looking more like a twisted sculpture than a game. The hopscotch squares on the pavement outside were now a series of cracked craters, courtesy of Kisume's enthusiastic jumps. Even the simple act of coloring had turned disastrous when Kisume, mid-coloring, had decided the crayons were better used as projectiles against her and started throwing them at Reimu.

"This is harder than I thought," Reimu muttered to herself, rubbing her temples. Looking at Kisume, who seemed genuinely bored, a pang of empathy struck her. Clearly, Kisume wasn't having fun either, even if her idea of fun involved a bit too much collateral damage.

For a while, both Reimu and Kisume struggled to come up with ideas until finally a light went off in Reimu's head.

"I've got it! Why don't we go to the park and have fun there?" asked Reimu.

"Park?" asked Kisume. "You mean one of those places with a fancy slide and playground?"

Reimu smiled and patted Kisume's head.

"Yes. That's what I'm talking about. Do you want to go there?"

Kisume excitedly jumped in her bucket before heading to her room where she changed her clothes and returned with an assortment of dangerous items.

"Woah! Young lady, you are not taking those with you," declared Reimu. "If you don't want to get in trouble with the other kids that is."

Kisume sighed and left her "toys" behind while Reimu picked up her activity bag and got ready to take Kisume to the park.

"I wanna go on that swing!" exclaimed Kisume.

"Alright then. Just don't suddenly jump out of the bucket alright," smiled Reimu.

As Reimu switched out the swing seat with Kisume's bucket, a group of oni children with spiky red hair and mischievous grins approached. They were followed by a gaggle of giggling kasha children, flames flickering playfully around their ankles and tails.

"Hey! Cool bucket!" one of the oni boys pointed at Kisume.

Kisume, momentarily forgetting her usual shyness, puffed out her chest proudly. "Thanks! It's a tsurube-otoshi thing."

The kasha girls giggled. "Are you new here?" one of them asked, her voice like crackling embers.

Reimu smiled politely. "Yes, actually. This is Kisume, and I'm Reimu, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden."

The children's eyes widened in awe. "A shrine maiden?!" an oni boy exclaimed. "Wow! So, what's it like being babysat by a real shrine maiden, Kisume?"

Kisume shrugged, feigning nonchalance. "It's okay, I guess."

Reimu could practically hear the disappointment in their voices. Sensing an opportunity, she stepped forward.

"Alright kids, how about a mixed game of tag and hide-and-seek?" asked Reimu.

"Tag and hide-and-seek?" asked one of the kasha girls. "What's that?"

"Basically, we'll choose one person to be 'it' and that person will look for everyone else who is hiding. Once they find someone, they'll have to tag them to pass the 'it' off to them so they can be the hider," explained Reimu. "Some rules: No tag backs and you can only tag people by tapping them with your hands. I will be the judge and if any of you break a rule, then you will be put on time-out."

The children all listened intently and once Reimu gave them the signal, they all dispersed into a hiding spot while Kisume, who volunteered to be "it," counted to 10 before looking for them.

Once she confirmed that they were all following the rules and none of them were using dangerous objects, sat down to rest and observe the game. Unbeknownst to anyone, a little girl with green hair and a bowler hat was watching in the distance with a hell raven.

"That's the babysitter I want," declared the girl to the raven.

The raven smiled and after a few minutes of watching, flew back over to her master with the little girl.

Author's Note: After careful consideration, I have decided to open up this story to requests on this site. Originally, this was restricted to Archive of Our Own users for easier access and order but since only one person is requesting, it's become rather ineffiencent. In any case, these are the standard rules:

1. If there is a specific character that you think Reimu should babysit next, write their name in a review or send me a private message.

2. Each character can only be done once for now and duplicate entries will be ignored. (Ex. First comment requested Wriggle, second comment requested Chen, third comment requested Wriggle again, and fourth comment requested Cirno. The order for who Reimu babysits will be 1. Wriggle, 2. Chen, and 3. Cirno)

**Since Reimu is currently underground, the first three underground youkai(after Kisume) that is requested down below will be prioritized over other requests. If there is a particular underground character that you want Reimu to babysit, please drop it in the reviews or message me.

Rules for underground youkai requests:

1. Character has the physical body of a child(Ex. Remilia, Flandre, Chen, Cirno, Rumia, etc.)
