Chapter 6: Walloping Love
(Intro)
Terra Wallop, home to Junko's species. Here, in a cozy little house, a young female Wallop named Judy lived with her family. She sat in the living room, reading a book. But then, she heard the doorbell ring at the front door. "Just when I was about to get to the good part." She sighed as she put the book down, got up and went to the front door. When she answered it, there was a man dressed like a pizza delivery guy standing there. "Pizza delivery." The man said. "Uh, we didn't order pizza." Judy said. "Oh, that's a shame. Because this pizza is a total knockout." The man said, opening the box. And then a toy snake leapt out and bit Judy on the neck. Judy stumbled backwards as she held her neck. And then, she fell unconscious. The man cackled as he removed his hat, revealing himself to be none other than Joker.
Meanwhile, on the Condor, Aerrow was on the viewer's deck with his eyes closed. He was listening to the gentle tone of the wind's breeze. Just then, Aria came out. "Aerrow? What're you doing out here?" She asked. "I'm talking to the wind, listening what it has to say." Aerrow said. "Uh, the wind can't talk, bro. Because that's just weird." Aria said with confusion. "I read about it in the book Harrier gave us. It said that the Skylight Guardian of Air can communicate with the wind." Aerrow explained. "That's ridiculous." Aria said, feeling skeptical. Aerrow smirked and decided to prove it. "Wind, mess up Aria's hair, please?" He asked. Just then, a gust of wind whooshed around Aria and messed up her hair. She was both surprised by this and angry that her hair was a mess. She glared at Aerrow as he laughed at this. "Okay! I admit it! You can talk to the wind!" She exclaimed. Just then, Junko came running out. "Guys! Big problem!" He panted out from the hurry. "What's wrong, Junko?" Aerrow asked. "We got a distress call from my home, Terra Wallop." Junko said.
Later, the Storm Hawks gathered to listen to Terra Wallop's distress call. "Junko, it's me, Bulky Charge." A male wallop said through the screen. "Hello, Junko darling." A female Wallop greeted. "Junko?! Is that you, Junko?!" A young Wallop boy asked. "Bulky Charge? Nettlekiss? Swift Bolt? Hey, it's been forever!" Junko exclaimed happily. "We have trouble. Judy has been kidnapped." Bulky Charge said sadly. Junko gasped at this. "We don't know where she's been taken. All that's left was a card with a joker on it." Nettlekiss explained, holding up a joker card. "Joker!" Aerrow exclaimed. "Please! You have to help us! I can't live without my sister!" Swift Bolt begged tearfully. "We're gonna get Judy back. I promise." Junko said. "Thank you, Junko. We knew we could count on you." Bulky Charge said, ending the call.
"So, who is this Judy anyway?" Finn asked. "She's my childhood friend. She came to my aid when I was being bullied by other Wallops. We've been friends ever since." Junko explained. "But why would Joker want to kidnap Judy?" Skyla asked. "I suspect that Joker kidnapped Judy because he wants the Heart of Atmos for Master Cyclonis. He might be setting a trap for us by using Judy as bait." Aerrow deduced. "Grrrr! Nobody uses my friend as bait to lure us!" Junko exclaimed angrily. "What're we going to do?" Piper asked. "I'm gonna ask the wind to get information from Joker about his plan." Aerrow said. The Storm Hawks were confused by this. "Uh, what're you talking about, dude?" Finn asked. "Aerrow has the ability to communicate with the wind. He discovered that in the book Harrier gave him." Aria explained. The Storm Hawks were amazed and started to wonder if the book had any cool tricks for them.
Aerrow stepped back out to the viewer's deck, closed his eyes and let the wind blow around him. "I need your help. Will you spy on our enemy, Joker? He's captured someone dear to my friend, Junko. And we need information on his plans." He said. The wind gave a gentle breeze in agreement.
In the middle of a forest on Terra Wallop, Joker held Judy captive in a cabin. "Just you wait until Junko gets his hands on you! You're gonna be sorry, Joker!" Judy exclaimed. "Oh, I don't think I will. You see, I have a trap set for the Storm Hawks. And once I have them captured, I'll take the Heart of Atmos from them and gift it to Master Cyclonis. And then…I'll have no more use for you anymore, my dear." Joker explained. Judy just glared. Little did they know, the wind was listening in on Joker's entire plan and blew back to report to Aerrow.
Later, the wind returned to Aerrow and told him everything about Joker's plan. Aerrow listened carefully as the wind explained. "What is it, Aerrow? What's the wind saying?" Aria asked. "Joker's set up a trap to capture all of us. If we go in to rescue Judy, Joker's trap will capture us. Then he'll take the Heart of Atmos and give it to Master Cyclonis." Aerrow explained. "What're we gonna do?! If we don't do something, Joker will surely kill Judy!" Junko exclaimed worriedly. "Don't worry, Junko. I have a plan that will help us beat Joker and save Judy unharmed." Aerrow assured.
Later, Aerrow gathered up the Storm Hawks and sets up a plan to outsmart Joker. "Okay. First step in our plan is the Stormhearts. You 3 will distract Joker long enough for Finn and Junko to sneak into the cabin and rescue Judy. And if Joker calls in Talons for backup, Stork will go to them before they get the call and give them a shocking surprise." Aerrow explained. Stork gulped from that. "And with that, it will leave Joker completely outnumbered." Aerrow finished. "Sounds like a plan." Sky said. "Especially with me and Junko on damsel in distress duty." Finn said. Junko slapped him aside the head. "Alright. Stork, set course for the woodlands of Terra Wallop." Aerrow said.
Later, the Storm Hawks landed in the woodlands and were close to the location. But then Aerrow stopped them. "What's wrong, Aerrow?" Skyler asked. "We need to keep hidden from Joker's sight and follow the plan." Aerrow said. The Storm Hawks understood. With that, Aerrow removed his scarf and revealed the Heart. "Skylight Unite!" He called out, transforming the Storm Hawks into the Skylight Guardians. "Everybody ready?" He asked. The Skylight Guardians nodded. "Alright. Let's do this." Everyone moved into position to carry out the plan.
Meanwhile, Joker paced back and forth impatiently, waiting for the Storm Hawks to come and rescue Judy. "Ugh! Where are they?! I am not a patient man! I want those Storm Hawks and I want them right now!" He exclaimed. Just then, a blast of water came through the cabin's window and hit him, knocking him down. Judy laughed at that. Then Joker got up as he exited the cabin and headed out into the forest. Then he stopped and looked around. "Who's out here?!" He shouted. Nobody answered. Instead, a rock flew through the air and hit Joker in the head. He turned and headed off to where it came from. Nearby, Skyla hid behind a tree as she snickered. "This is gonna be fun." She whispered.
With Joker out and distracted, Finn and Junko snuck over to the cabin where Judy was held captive. "Judy!" Junko called, catching sight of her. Judy looked up and saw Finn and Junko coming towards her. "Whoa! Hey! Who're you 2?" She asked, not recognizing them in their adult Skylight forms. "It's okay. It's me, Junko." Junko said. Judy was surprised to hear this. "Junko? Is it really you?" She asked. Junko nodded. "But how? Wallops don't age that fast." Judy said. "Long story. We'll tell you later." Junko said as Finn untied the rope Joker used to bind Judy with. "And I'm gonna guess that you must be Finn he spoke to me about in our video chats." Judy said. "Dude, you told her about me?!" Finn asked, beaming with happiness.
Meanwhile, Joker continued to go deeper into the forest, looking for any signs of the Storm Hawks. Suddenly, a mana blast nearly hit his foot. He looked up and saw Aerrow, Aria, Radarr and Mimi slowly descending down. "Well, well, well. I was wondering when you'd might be touching down." He joked with a light cackle. "This is your first and final warning to surrender, Joker." Aerrow said as Piper, the Stormheart Triplets and Riggorix joined their leaders. And then Finn, Junko and Judy joined in. "Ah. I see you avoided my little trap. Pretty clever." Joker said. "You're gonna pay for using my friend like that, Joker!" Junko exclaimed, clutching his fists. "Oh, I don't think I will. You see, I never leave Cyclonia without a little backup of my own." Joker said, taking out a radio.
Meanwhile, Stork snuck around the forest by himself. "Why did I have to be the one to see if Joker brought any Talon reinforcements? Doesn't Aerrow know I have strict allergies to foliage out here?" He mumbled to himself. But suddenly, he found the Talons' campsite. And there was a massive group of Talons. "Oh no! I did not prepare for this! There are too many Talons than I was expecting! What am I gonna do?! What am I going to do?!" Stork asked in a complete panic. But as he did that, he unleashed a large bolt of lightning and struck the entire camp, shocking all of the Talons and knocking them out. "Talons, spring the trap." Joker called through the radio. "Talons! Is anyone there?!" Stork was shocked at what he just did. "Whoa! I didn't know I could do that. It was so…so…cool." He said with a hint of amazement.
"Talons! Talons, will you come in and spring the trap?!" Joker yelled into the radio. "Sorry, Joker, but I'm afraid your Talons are in shock at the moment." Piper punned. The Skylight Guardians chuckled at this. Joker snarled. "As I said, Joker, you're gonna pay for what you did." Junko said, preparing his Knuckle Busters. Joker looked around him as the other Skylight Guardians were closing in on him. "Sorry, Storm Hawks. But I'm gonna have to take a raincheck on that. Until then." Joker said, pulling out a Smoke Crystal from his jacket and slamming it onto the ground, creating a veil of smoke. The Skylight Guardians coughed from the smoke. Aerrow used his air powers to blow the smoke away, he saw that Joker was gone. "He's gone. But he'll be back." He said.
Later, the Skylight Guardians brought Judy back to the Condor. And then they transformed back into the Storm Hawks. Judy was surprised by this. "Whoa! I…I had no idea you guys could do that!" She exclaimed. "Being able to change age. Have you been holding out on me since you left, Junko?" "Well, not exactly, Judy. These powers were gifted to us." Junko said. "Gifted? But how?" Judy asked. "It's because of this." Aerrow said, holding out the Heart. "Is that it? The Heart of Atmos Joker was talking about?" Judy asked, gazing at the Heart in awe. "Yes. It's what gave us our adult looks while Stork and Rigg turned into humans, turning us into the legendary Skylight Guardians." Junko said. "It also gave us cool elemental powers." Finn said, creating a ball of light in his hand. "And it even given me and Mimi voices too." Radarr said from Aerrow's shoulder. Judy was amazed by this.
Later, the Storm Hawks returned Judy to her family. "Mom! Dad! Swifty!" Judy cried as she embraced her family. "Oh, my little baby Judy! We're so happy you're safe!" Nettlekiss cried. "You had me worried for a bit, big sis." Swift Bolt said. "I'm okay, guys. I'm okay." Judy assured. "Thank you for saving Judy from that lunatic, Storm Hawks. Our family is forever in your debt." Bulky Charge said. "It was a pleasure, Mr. Charge." Aerrow said. After shaking hands with Bulky Charge, the Storm Hawks turned and left. Judy watched as they left and started thinking.
"I'm actually gonna miss Judy. We really had good times as kids. I just wish we could've caught up some more." Junko said as they returned to the Condor. "Hey, it's all good, dude. You may get that chance someday." Finn said. "And that day is today." Judy's voice said. The Storm Hawks turned and to their surprise, saw Judy petting their Volcanosaur, and dressed up in their uniform. "Nice Volcanosaur." Judy said, petting the Volcanosaur's snout. "Judy?! What are you doing here?!" Junko asked in shock. "I've come to a decision. I want to join the Storm Hawks." Judy said. The Storm Hawks were surprised by this. Especially Junko. "Look, after what you guys told me about how the Heart gave you guys such great powers, I decided that I wanted to go out there with you guys, help you defend the Atmos against the evil forces of Cyclonia. And hopefully get my own Skylight Guardian power someday too." Judy explained. The Storm Hawks all looked at each other. "Well then, how can we say no to that." Aerrow said, holding out his hand. "You…You mean it?" Judy asked. "Yep. Welcome to the Storm Hawks, Judy." Aerrow said. Judy smiled and shook Aerrow's hand. "Good to have you on board, Judy." Junko said. "Thanks, Junko." Judy said. And just then, she grabbed Junko's shoulders, dipped him and kissed him full on the lips. The Storm Hawks were surprised by this. As Judy pulled away, Junko had a love-struck face. "Been wanting to do that for a while." Judy said. Junko smiled with a blush.
"Uh, guys? I think we should go. Bulky Charge is coming. And he looks angry!" Finn called, seeing an angry Bulky Charge marching towards the Condor. "Quickly! My father is really overprotective! And you don't want to face him when he's like this!" Judy exclaimed. "Stork! Take us out of here!" Aerrow called. Stork manned the controls and flew the Condor away from Terra Wallop. "JUDY!" Bulky Charge screamed angrily.
How was that for an original chapter? Joker kidnaps Junko's child friend Judy to use her as bait to capture the Storm Hawks and take the Heart of Atmos. But they outsmarted him and rescued Judy. And now, Judy joins the Storm Hawks on their future adventures. But what adventures await our new Storm Hawk? Leave a review if you want.
