Previously, on Ash's Journey Through Dimensions, Myotismon used magic to create a fog barrier, cutting Odaiba off to trap the 8th child. He then used Phantomon and an army of Bakemon to round up all the children and their families. Matt's dad got Matt and Gabumon to safety. Tai was able to escape with Kari on Greymon. Ash went to help Lillie and Mimi, who were captured, as was Sora. Sora's mom and Biyomon disguised themselves as Bakemon to rescue Sora, who had led the people captured to escape. DarkTyrannomon was blocking the entrance. Togemon was nearly destroyed. Mimi's Crest was activated, and Togemon Digivolved to Lillymon and tamed DarkTyrannomon. Unfortunately, Myotismon arrived and destroyed DarkTyrannomon for his failure. Now Lillymon must face Myotismon. While this was happening, Joe and T.K. were trying to find a way to Odaiba. What will happen: find out now.

Chapter 5: Two more Ultimates appear: Welcome Crowmon & Zudomon

Lillymon and Myotismon were about to square off as everyone captured by Myotismon's goons tried to escape from Myotismon's grasp. Lillie was infuriated by how Myotismon had been capturing the city's inhabitants. "Enough is enough, Myotismon. Let these people go." Lillie shouted. Myotismon ignored her and engaged Lillymon.

"Myotismon, we are on equal footing given that we are both Ultimate Level Digimon; I won't let you get away with this," Lillymon said to Myotismon, who scoffed. This little fairy-like Digimon didn't scare him.

"You need to learn your place that this isn't a fairy tale, and you will not have a happy ending," Myotismon said to Lillymon, who was angry at his dismissal of her.

"Flower Cannon," Lillymon fired her signature energy attack at Myotismon, only for it not even to damage him, let alone graze him. As he brushed it off, everyone was surprised by this. Peckmon was now concerned as this was what he had warned the group about long ago.

"What a weak, pathetic attack; you are as weak as they say about your line, Lillymon, and now to put you in your place," Myotismon said to Lillymon, who grunted and flapped his cape. "Nightmare Claw," Myotismon started to drain Lillymon. Everyone was surprised that Lillymon was turning grey from the attack, much to Mimi's horror.

"Lillymon," Everyone aside from Myotismon said as they ran over to get to her. Lillie and Snowy were about to head that way, only for Myotismon to appear behind Lillie, holding her arms and pulling her hair as Lillie screamed in pain.

"Now, my dear, let me taste that delicious blood of yours," Myotismon said, opening his mouth and positioning his fangs on Lillie's neck, preparing to bite it. Snowy tried to stop him only for Myotismon to kick her out of the way. "That's quite enough out of your foolish pet my dear."

"Lillie," Ash said, worried for his fiancee's safety. He was getting angry, not to the point of activating his Super Saiyan transformation, but his Aura was flaring up a lot more than it ever had, and Lucario noticed and was worried about it; however, it was affecting Ash's Digivice, and Peckmon felt it as well.

"A-Ash," Peckmon said as he was about to Digivolve again. "Peckmon Digivolve into Crowmon," Crowmon said as he was becoming more of a jet-black bird with a mask on its face, a Claw in front of its body, and what looked like smoke in front of it Ash was surprised that this happened as he didn't have a crest like the others which Crowmon noticed. "We can talk about it later once we get him away from Lillie."

Ash nodded as Myotismon was about to go for Lillie again, only for Squirtle to stop him with a Skull Bash attack. Ash was surprised that Squirtle was one of the two Pokemon that showed up. The attack freed Lillie from Myotismon's grip.

"Savage Emperor," Crowmon used his wings and forelegs to fire a blast that hit Myotismon while his guard was down.

Myotismon knew he couldn't do much to them, as he was very wary of Ash causing this surprising 9th Digimon to reach the ultimate level. I can't risk attacking this boy or his girl, he thought, so I'll finish off Lillymon. He turned toward Lillymon, who was unconscious. "Grizzly Wing," he shouted. Mimi was horrified.

"Oh no, Lillymon," Mimi shouted. She then felt a strong breeze push her hair to the side.

"Meteor Wing," Birdramon cried while, a male voice shouted, "Oh hell no." Birdramon's attack along with a powerful stream of fire destroyed the bats. Mimi turned and saw a giant orange creature fire a second stream of fire at Myotimon. Birdramon used this distraction to grab the fallen Lillymon.

"We can talk later, Ash. We gotta get out of here as things are getting bad, and we don't want more innocent bystanders getting involved," Crowmon said to Ash, who nodded.

"Birdramon, you need to retrieve Sora we're making a strategic retreat," Ash called as he helped Lillie and Snowy get on to Crowmon. Birdramon nodded and flew to retrieve her partner. Charizard flew over to his trainer as Ash, Pikachu, and Squirtle jumped onto his back. Ash recalled Lucario for the time being. Sora jumped onto her partner's leg. Unfortunately, Mimi, Toshiko, and everyone else were recaptured.

While Ash, Lillie, and Sora were making their escape, Tai and Matt were talking. Kari had finished patching up Agumon from his brief scuffle with Phantomon. "There, how does that feel?" she asked her brother's partner. Agumon thanked her for the great job she had done. Then she suddenly heard her brother shout.

"No way! That's impossible."

Matt sadly shook his head. "It's true, Tai. Dad saw the whole thing as his crew was captured during his investigation. Myotismon has split off Odaiba from the rest of Japan. With that fog bank of his."

Tai punched a nearby railing. "That creepazoid. He's cut off the entire district. This is insane. Holding thousands of people prisoner just so he can find Kari. It's insane."

And there's no telling what he'll do if he doesn't find her, Matt pointed out.

(Tai kicked a can in his anger before he sat down on a bench.)

Kari walked over with a sad expression on her face. "This is all my fault, isn't it?" (Matt and Tai gasped as they looked over at her.) "It's all happening because he's looking for me, right? Um, that's why Mom and Dad and everybody are-" she continued, but Tai interrupted her by walking over and placing his hands on her shoulders with a small smile.

3h ago, "Now don't say that. It's not your fault. It's just the way things are. It's called fate. Don't you worry. I'm gonna bring Mom and Dad home safe and sound and your little buddy Gatomon too". He turned to Matt. "Hey, Matt. Do me a favor and look after Kari till I get back."

Matt: I was confused. "Uh, sure. No problem"

Tai turned back to his little sister. "Kari, I need you to be a big, strong girl for me while I'm away.

Kari nodded with a nervous look on her face. "OK. Please be careful."

Tai gave her a thumbs-up as his Digivice started beeping. "Hey, aren't I always? OK, it's 7:30 am. Give me two hours. If we don't make it back by then, you guys get out of here. Let's go, Agumon!" Agumon followed after Tai as they ran off to help Sora, Ash, and Lillie.

Elsewhere with Izzy and his family, Bakumon along with Phantomon (sent to ensure any other members of the DigiDestend didn't interfere) was searching for more homes in the apartment area that Izzy was living in. Izzy was trying to download a program to make it harder for the Ghost Digimon to see them, much to his parent's dismay, not even noticing Tentomon, right next to them.

"Izzy, I understand that this is important to you, but we need to go before they spot us?" Izzy's mother said to Izzy, who was trying to stay calm despite the situation as his father was planning on defending them with a bat.

"Dad, I suggest you don't use that. Believe me, they aren't the types to pick a fight with 'cause they will only get stronger over," Izzy said to his father as the download was 90 percent done and was hitting 100 percent in less than 30 seconds.

"Forget it, we're leaving now," Izzy's mother said only for her husband to stop her by putting a hand on her shoulder.

"If Izzy's adamant about this program let's give it a shot." He nodded at Izzy who punched in the enter key to activate the program, which made a forcefield around them. The Bakumon went inside the room only to see a floating Baseball bat, which, for the type of Digimon, wasn't the weirdest thing for them.

"Hey, did you find anyone in this house?" Phantomon asked as the Bakumon blinked and left.

"No, just a haunted house. I mean, it's not the weirdest thing we've seen so far," Bakumon said as he floated off as everyone sighed.

"That was close; as long as I have this on my laptop, they shouldn't be able to detect us," Izzy said as the group sighed.

"Another minute, and we probably would've been taken like everyone else," Tentomon said. Izzy's parents were surprised by him as he introduced himself awkwardly.

"It's a long story, Mom and Dad, but let's just say he's on our side. But right now, we have to go as soon they'll realize something is off, so we better move out of here and to somewhere safer. I'll explain or try to explain what is going on, but you'll need to trust me on this," Izzy said to his parents, who calmed down and nodded as they knew that Izzy had much to explain, but they left. After hearing from Gennai that the source of the fog barrier was at the T.V. Station, Izzy's father suggested that they go there and the family headed off. the barrier was masking their presence.

Izzy explained as much as he could while going to the T.V. Station. Luckily, just from what had been happening, his parents completely understood what was going on so far, though the thought of a child giving these Digimon this much issue was astounding to them.

Back at the convention center, Everyone had been recaptured, and the adults were separated from the children.

"Well, what are you going to do with us," Tai's father shouted.

DemiDevimon gave off an evil laugh. "Well, if I told you now, it would just simply ruin the surprise that's coming up. In the meantime, why doesn't everybody just take a little nap? His eyes glowed soon, all of the adults were asleep.

Meanwhile, Gatomon was being forced to point out the 8th child from the group of kids the Bakemon rounded up. She dismissed child after child. Suddenly, Myotismon appeared in the room via the shadows. "Beware, Gatomon. If you lie to me, I will simply destroy them all."

All the kids started to cry as Gatomon wondered what she could do to help.

Meanwhile, at the harbor, T.K. and his mother were waiting for a boat ride. Unfortunately, all boats had been canceled due to the fog surrounding Odaiba.

"Man, this is nuts. I understand that people were trying to get out of here. Still, there's so much that the boats can take even if they were running," T.K.'s mother said to her son, who nodded as Patamon was in his bag and wanted to say something, only T.K. to intervene for now as T.K. noticed that Joe was making his way over to the water as he had an idea to get off the Island.

"Joe, T.K. shouted as he rushed over to his friend.

Joe was stunned. "Hey, T.K."

"We thought you'd be in town with the others," T.K. asked his friend.

Joe shook his head. "No, I was across the harbor when the power went out."

T.K. looked across to Odaiba. "So we're all stuck out here while everyone else is in there."

Joe smirked, "Not to worry, I have the answer to our issues right here. He opened the bag, and Gomamon popped out. "Are you ready to go, buddy?"

You got it, Joe, Gomamon said. Joe's Digivice glowed.

Gomamon Digivolve to...Ikkakumon.

T.K. and Joe hopped on his back. "Joe, wait up," T.K. said as his mother had caught up before Ikkakumon could swim off.

"T.K., hold on, I don't know what is happening, and can we trust them?" T.K.'s mother said as T.K. nodded and explained that Joe was his friend at Summer Camp and Ikkakumon was on their side. "Then, I'm coming with you two if that is OK with you?"

"I'm fine with her coming along. I have enough room on my back to transport you four off to the next town, but we will need to keep an eye out for any of the enemies out there," Ikkakumon said to Joe and T.K., who nodded as both T.K. and his mother hopped on.

Meanwhile, Ash, Lillie, and Sora were traveling, looking for any sign of the others. While they were looking, Ash decided this was the best time to get some info about what was going on in the Pokemon Universe.

"Man, I'm glad to see you guys again," Ash said to his Kanto starters as Squirtle was beside Ash and Pikachu. "But, how did you guys get here, and why you Squirtle? Charizard, I completely understand, but I thought you were with the Squirtle Squad," Ash asked them.

"Thank a Certain Bat legendary for sending us out here as things in our dimension have gotten bad since you guys left as for the squad they're helping Bulbasaur calm down Oak's water types," Squirtle said to Ash as he had an accent to his voice.

"Lunala, I thought the passage between Dimensions is being blocked," Lillie said to Ash as she heard the whole thing.

"It seems like it's only for going out of this dimension, but Lunala went to ask us to help you out as she seems to think you could use the help, and we know that you can understand us and all that, not sure about your new friend here, but she said we can trust him, also your part alien?" Charizard was being the level-headed one of the group.

Sora's eyes widened. "You're part alien, Ash?'

"It's a long story," Ash responded. He was curious about what had happened and what had caused Falcomon to Digivolve to the Ultimate level without a crest.

"Remember when I said I know about the whole Aura thing, Ash?" Crowmon said to Ash, who nodded. "That Digivice isn't just bound you to me as a partner Digimon; it also binds our Auras. From what I remember when you shook my wing, our bond grew through it," Crowmon said as Ash sighed as he was still new to the whole Aura thing as Crowmon sighed. "And here I thought my partner human was smart."

"I am still new to the Aura business," Ash told his partner, who nodded in understanding.

"You haven't changed just cause you are a champion. You're still as dense as when you were a rookie trainer," Charizard said, teasing Ash. Squirtle snickered. Ash's face turned red in embarrassment as Crowmon found it amusing. "Get used to this kind of banter pal, 'cause what you said about Ash was smart is farther from the truth."

Lillie scowled, ready to protest. Pikachu gave her a shake of the head. Lillie nodded in understanding but still gave Charizard a scowl. Charizard chuckled. She really has it bad for him. Even more so than that Serena girl Talonflame mentioned, he thought.

"That's enough, Charizard. First, Greninja, then Lapras, and now you two. Who else is Lunala planning to send us? Do you know?" Ash asked his two Kanto starters who shook their heads.

"From what Lunala told us, she has been keeping in contact with Solgaleo. As for help, she can send Pokemon, but sadly, humans are too much cause she doesn't know what will happen. As for who she will send, rumor has it she's thinking of asking a legendary to help us out. Not sure which one, but it's one you've helped out," Squirtle said to Ash, who was curious about this but decided to let it go for the moment. "But, I will say we needed this getaway from the whole fighting fires. It's been so long since. I've trained or battled with you. Ash admitted his Kanto water type had a point. He had not battled with Squirtle since Pyramid King Brandon, which was 5 years ago.

"I've helped a lot of legendaries in the past, so who knows who will be sent, but what is going on since we are still traveling to find the others?" Ash asked Charizard and Squirtle.

"From what other Pokemon told us and what we've experienced, many Pokemon in the past are being returned to life, and a lot of things are showing up that aren't part of our dimensions," Charizard said to Ash, who was curious but shocked as well and based on hearing about Pokemon being brought back to life, that gave him an idea who Lunala might send.

"The other thing is that a lot of Pokemon have gone missing as well, and it's not because of Lunala; she's been trying to get the ones you know or own. Ash to Oak's lab for safety, she isn't going to bring random Pokemon, for no reason, and Team Rocket members are getting more bold and dangerous in our dimension," Squirtle said.

"How much more dangerous than usual are they? I know our usual three have been fired according to a certain two members of their group," Ash asked Squirtle.

"They've been hitting many areas of the regions; one of the hits was the Charizific Valley, according to what Charla told me after one of her scouts was attacked, and she barely got out of there; it seems like they're targetting places you have either been or helped namely the area with powerful Pokemon," Charizard said.

"And for all these reasons, we were planning on firing Faba. He's causing more issues than we thought, and that's just by working with them," Lillie said as Ash sighed.

"Look, I don't know who these guys are, but this can't be good for any dimension," Crowmon said to Ash and Lillie.

"You remember when I told you that we have run-ins with that group the human Myotismon teamed up with? That's her group, Team Rocket, and they've gotten worse now, especially with Giovanni doing this," Ash said to his partner Digimon.

"This sounds really bad worse than we expected," Sora commented.

"All the more reason to defeat Myotismon as quickly as possible we can. Once he's gone, we can focus on this Team Rocket," Birdramon said.

Charizard sighed and was holding his claw, which Ash noticed. "Did something happen during that struggle with Myotimon that I missed? Did you hurt your claw, Charizard," Ash asked Charizard, who was taken aback by the question and shook his head.

"No, nothing like that, it's something else," Charizard seemed distracted as Ash was curious about what he meant as Squirtle sighed.

"Should I tell him what you've been doing since he's been in Alola, or should you, Charizard, given that most of the team knows about it," Squirtle said to Charizard, who sighed as Ash turned to him.

"I'll tell him, you see, there's another reason why Charla's scouts told me that she made her way out of the valley safely, you see..." Charizard looked down as everyone was curious about what he was about to say, though Lillie instantly caught on.

"Ash isn't the only one who is going to get married. Is that what you are saying, Charizard?" Lillie said to the fire starter, who nodded but also shook his head as everyone was taken about it.

Sora's eyes widened. Talk about ironic timing, she thought.

"Correction, Lillie, he's already her king," Squirtle said to Lillie, who turned to him. "Happened during the Alola league so that you couldn't get in touch with us about it, but Charizard and Charla are now officially King and Queen of the Charizific Valley," Squirtle said as Charizard revealed his claw ring. However, Ash noticed something off about it.

"Is that a mega stone on that ring, Charizard?" Ash said to Charizard, who nodded. "Why didn't you show it to us when we visited the lab?" Ash told his starter, who was embarrassed and didn't want to discuss it. "Is there something else you aren't telling me, Charizard?" Ash asked Charizard, who sighed.

"Charla and I plan on starting a family when the masters eight ends. We are already expecting our first eggs during all this, which worried me," Charizard said to Ash, who was taken aback by this as was Squirtle as he wasn't aware of that information.

"Congratulations, Charizard, I completely understand your situation, but what will happen during your time here?" Ash asked him.

"We agreed even if the eggs hatch when I am gone that, I'll still be there for them, and we are planning on giving them when they are older to you and Liza or even your own youngling," Charizard said, explaining the legality of the situation as most of the time the younglings go to the mother's trainer.

Ash and Lillie both blushed. Sora smiled, even more of a reason to beat Myotismon ASAP she thought.

"But, right now, I'll tell you this, Ash, I'm fully aware you have a mega ring, and this stone acts as both versions of my mega form, as it represents both sides of mine and her family tree, but it's at your command and I have full control over these forms so there will be no issues," Charizard said to Ash who nodded and has seen that type of thing before with Korrina's Lucario and knew that will come in handy.

Suddenly, they heard Tai's voice yelling at a Bakemon.

"Tai," Sora shouted.

Sora, Ash, and Lillie landed and dismounted their rides.

"Thank goodness You're OK, Sora," Tai said with a smile at the child of love. Sora blushed at the concern in Tai's voice. He cares about me, she thought with a smile. She shook off the blush and told him what had happened at the convention center. While Tai was happy that Ash had some reinforcements and that he had reached the Ultimate level, He was upset at how Myotismon was handling things.

"I want you to go hook up with Matt. He's in the warehouse by Aqua City." Sora nodded as she got back on to her partner, while Ash and Lillie got back on their respective flyers.

"Aqua City, Birdramon, step on it!" Sora shouted as her group flew off.

Unbeknownst to them, Phantomon had been nearby and heard every word the DigiDestined said.

Matt's dad sat at a desk inside the T.V. Station, trying to find a way to communicate with the outside world. But nothing was working, which frustrated him. Meanwhile, Izzy, his parents, and Tentomon had arrived at the station.

Tentomon was stunned at the size of the place. "Wow! I had no idea T.V. stations were so big. If I'm going to destroy it, I should Digivolve."

Izzy held up a hand. "Hold on a minute. For all we know, there might still be some people inside. We better check it out." They all infiltrated the building to look for potential hostages.

Meanwhile, Matt tried to placate Kari, but he only made her cry.

(Meanwhile, with Joe, T.K., and Nancy)

During the transport through the sea, T.K. and Joe explained what was going on the best they could, which was believable for her, given that they wouldn't just make something like this up. Surprisingly, she was taking it well and started to believe them cause the proof was in front of her as Patamon was on the head of Ikkakumon.

"So, all this is because of a Child that didn't make it to Summer camp; I won't lie to you. It seems farfetched if I haven't seen these two myself," T.K's mother said to the group. "I take that your brother was with you guys?"

"Yeah, Matt was one of us that went to the world, and I have a feeling that he's heading his way over that way as well; aside from that, we are all back safe and sound," T.K. said enthusiastically while Joe was making sure that everyone was safe while he's not good at swimming he at least wasn't going to let something happen to them as his Crest of Reliability glows faintly.

"I have a question, T.K., you and Matt were in the area where the report of monsters caused an incident downtown. Were you guys involved with it," she asked as T.K. looked down. He didn't like what happened that day but explained what happened while not trying to cry, and she could tell that it was hard for him as she was about to say something, only for the fog to get thicker, and Ikkakumon stopped.

"Something is out there. We're near the bridge heading into town, and we don't know who is out in the sea," Ikkakumon said.

The group looked around as something came up from the sea and showed itself. Patamon eyes widened. "I knew this was too easy. That's MegaSeadramon. The old Seadramon was bad enough, but it's just an angry guppy compared to this Ultimate version."

(MegaSeadramon roars as he tightened his hold on the bridge causing half of it to break apart.) Joe groaned. "That's terrific. Myotismon brought three 3 Digimon that traverse the water, and the last one's an Ultimate level.

"Thunder Javalin," Megaseadramon roared. His attack caught everyone off guard and knocked everyone off Ikkakumon. T.K. and Nancy surfaced as Joe went to help them out despite him having trouble staying afloat with what looked to be logs.

"Here you go, you two, you'll need it more than I do," Joe said. T.K. was worried as they noticed that Megaseadramon was thrashing Ikkakumon, who was trying to fight him off.

"But, Joe, what about you," T.K. said nervously. He knew that Joe wasn't a good swimmer, which was ironic given that he has a water Digimon.

"I'm responsible, and I'm not going to let this beast get to you guys, even if it means this," Joe said as he fell into the water. Nancy realized what was going on.

"Joe can't swim, can he?" Nancy asked T.K., who nodded. Nancy dived in to try and save him, as she approached the sinking boy, Joe's Crest activated.

Ikkakumon Digivolve to... Zudomon.

T.K.'s eyes widened. Patamon smiled. "Well, what'd do ya know Ikkakumon reached his Ultimate form. That's good. I can save my energy so I can go head-to-head with Myotismon."

Zudomon managed to get Joe, T.K., and Nancy onto his back with the hand that wasn't holding his hammer. Joe was recovering from his near-drowning experience. Nancy was stunned at what just happened with Joe's Partner Digimon. "Don't worry, I won't let it get to you guys, "Vulcan's Hammer," he pulled his hammer and slammed it into Megaseadramon, who tried his Thunder Javelin attack but it was absorbed into Zudomon's attack and Megaseadramon was defeated.

"Don't do that again, young man," Nancy said to Joe, who was rubbing the back of his head.

"Hey, I hope I proved trustworthy," Joe said with a chuckle as Nancy sighed.

"Now, if you could only pass your doctor's exam, Joe," Zudomon said jokingly. Joe coughed in response as he was embarrassed by that.

"So Patamon would've transformed if Ikkakumon hadn't," Nancy asked. T.K. informed his mother about the Digivolving process, or at least what they knew about it, which made sense to her.

The group had made their way past the bridge. They were nearing Odaiba when the group noticed that someone was floating in the water. It looked like he needed help, and Joe noticed it was a Digimon with a hat who looked like he'd been through a lot as Zudomon grabbed him.

"Please, I must get to Gatomon and your friends," Wizardmon said to the group introducing himself as an ally of theirs while Nancy was sceptical. "Wait a minute, Ash's partner Falcomon mentioned a spy in Myotismon's army," Joe said, snapping his fingers in realization. "Are you him?"

"Yes, I am," Wizardmon confirmed and revealed the real Crest of Light as it was glowing and explained the situation, though Nancy was worried.

T.K.'s eyes widened. "Hold on a minute, Gatomon? She's with Myotismon." Wizardmon explained Ash's theory about why Gatomon ended up where she did to the group. "OK, that makes sense, But who's the 8th Child?"

"It's Kari," Wiardmon said, breathing heavily.

"Tai's little sister was the one we were looking for all along," Joe exclaimed.

Nancy saw how injured Wizardmon was. "He needs help. Is there any way to help him out?" Nancy asked the group, who didn't know what to do as neither of them knew much about Digimon's health.

"My health is nothing of your concern, mam. Right now, I'm willing to do anything to get this to your friends, so please, if you don't mind take me to them," Wizardmon asked the group, who agreed. They were skeptical, but they could tell he was in no position to fight them.

While Joe's group was dealing with their situation, Izzy's family had infiltrated the TV Station. "Now if I were a fog barrier where would I be," Izzy muttered.

Izzy's father, Masami suddenly stopped. "Hold on, two of those ghost Digimon are up ahead.

"I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there are two more behind us, Tentomon said.

What do we do, Izzy's mother, Kae asked.

Suddenly a door opened behind them, and Hiroaki beckoned the family inside. "Quick in here." Izzy's family quickly went into the room where Hiroaki had been trying to find a way to break through the fog barrier.

"You're Matt's dad," Izzy said stunned that he was working on the inside to disrupt things. Hiroaki nodded and asked what was going on which Izzy was quick to explain.

Meanwhile, Ash's group had reached Aqua City and were searching for Matt and Kairi who were waiting for Tai. Suddenly Sora spotted them "Hey! Matt, there you are," Sora said to Matt, who was surprised that they got here quickly.

"Sora, Ash, Lillie, I'm surprised you guys got out of there safely, and I'm glad you two are alright. Say, Ash, who is there? Are they your Pokemon?" Matt asked Ash, who nodded.

"Yeah, like Pikachu, they've been on my team since the start of my Journey and are here to help. You guys OK, more importantly, especially you, Kairi?" Ash asked the two, who nodded as Matt was about to say something, only to be interrupted.

"Why, thank you for bringing me to what should be the 8th child. Now, hand her over" Phantomon called out as he was coming out of the shadows.

"Phantomon. He probably followed us since we left where everyone was taken," Ash said as Phantomon laughed.

"Humph, you're not as dumb as your Pokemon said you are human, so what's it going to be: Hand her over? Or I'll show you what happens when you go against Myotismon, especially his most faithful Digimon outside Demidevilmon, that is," Phantomon said, as everyone stood their ground. Kairi was worried as this was all her doing. "Fine by me, let's bring in some help," Phantomon called forth Tuskmon and Snimon.

"Gabumon Digivolve to Garurumon."

Sora's Crest glowed, willing to protect Kari.

"Birdramon Digivolve to Garudamon,"

The two Digimon tried their best but Garurumon was thrown into a lake due to a punch from Tuskmon Garudamon was sent crashing into a nearby building by Snimon's Twin Sickles attack. A piece of the building Garudamon was thrown into was falling towards Sora. Ash pulled out a Pokeball.

"Gengar, get Sora out of the way before it hits her," Ash sent out Gengar, who did so barely rescuing Sora from being crushed. Charizard was about to fight alongside Gengar, who after moving Sora away from the damaged building was about to attack Phantomon, only for Kairi to step in.

"Stop it, you want me, you got me; I don't want my friends to get hurt, please," Kari said to Phantomon. Everyone was surprised as Ash was about to say something, only for Kari to show that she meant it.

"What a refreshingly helpful attitude. It's a deal," Phantom said as Kairi had no choice but to nod as he took her.

"Hurry, Matt! Stop her!" Sora told Matt, who really couldn't believe that was happening as he ran towards her.

"Kari, no, you don't know what you're doing," Matt said.

"This can't be happening," Crowmon said as the one thing that he was hoping not to happen was happening.

"I wish Dad were here," Ash admitted, as he couldn't risk Kari's safety.

"What do we do now?" Lillie asked Matt, now worried, as this was not something that she would have expected. Matt looked down, clenching his fists.

"I don't know. Tai is gonna be so mad at me," Matt said as Phantomon took Kari away, laughing at a stunned group who failed to protect her.
