Hayato Tarumi had a rough day. Not only did his girlfriend die only a few days ago, he was getting harassed by everyone at school and the press to discuss the murder. He first loved being in the spotlight, but they only ever wanted to talk about Seika and rarely about him. It was annoying. However, with the stories he's been telling about how he was trying to save his former girlfriend from the killer, a lot of girls have been flocking to him. He looked over at the girl next to him. She was a girl in the same year as him. He remembered her from when they were in high school and always thought she was cute. She was not as cute as Seika, but she looked great. He rarely talked to her in high school because she would always be around Tamaki. So he never got to ask her out. He only got her name today when she approached him and applauded him for being so heroic. Tsubaki Kamigamo. A pretty name for a pretty face. He loved her long black hair and full plump lips. He was going to have fun with her tonight.

She was hesitant about going out with him, but after much convincing, she agreed to get dinner with him, hopefully, more.

He unlocked his front door and let her in. His parents were away for the week, so he had the whole house to himself. So he could bring as many girls as he could here and wouldn't hear complaints from his parents. He was looking forward to this whole week.

"Why don't you make yourself comfy on the couch, and I'll get us some refreshments," He smiled at her.

Tsubaki smiled at him and did as he said. Hayato went into the kitchen to grab some wine, to help them both and hopefully get more comfortable.

"Here's your wine." He smiled as he handed Tsubaki her glass.

She thanked him as he sat next to her. Hayato wasted no time to lay an arm across her headrest to get themselves closer and turned on for them to watch.

About halfway through the movie and three more glasses of wine, the two were making out on the couch. Hayato was on top, pinning her down to the leather sofa, feeling all up on her body, making her moan in his mouth. He was getting so excited that he barely heard his phone ringing on the coffee table.

"Should you get that?" Tsubaki asked breathlessly.

"Whoever it is, they can wait," Hayato smirked, returning his lips to hers. But before they could go any further, his phone rang again. Hayato growled and saw that it was an unknown caller. He pressed the side button twice to hang up the call, but it rang again before he could place his phone back on the coffee table.

"Maybe you should answer it," Tsubaki said. "It must be important if they keep trying to call you."

"It better not be a fucking scam call." He answered the phone. "What?"

He didn't even try to hide the fact that he was pissed. He wasn't planning on having an unknown caller blue-balling him tonight, and if he could tell them to fuck off quickly, he could go back to Tsubaki and take her up to his bedroom.

"Hello, Hay-"

"Look, dude," Hayato interrupted. "I don't give a shit what you're trying to sell me or whatever. Just fuck off."

"Oh, so you don't want to talk about how you're a fucking liar."

Hayato scrunched his brows, confused. "What do you mean, I'm not a-"

"You were lying all day long about how you tried to save your poor girlfriend Seika when you weren't even there." The man on the other side of the line said. "I mean, you are so fucking narcissistic that you try to have all the attention on yourself rather than on your girlfriend who just got her fucking guts ripped out."

"Look, asshole. You weren't there. So you have no idea-"

"Really? Are you sure about that?"

Hayato's anger vanished, and he felt his blood run cold. It couldn't be. This had to be some sick prank joke. "This isn't funny. Is this one of the football teammates? I'm going to kill you at the next practice."

"Ooh, so scary." The man snickered. "Who are you trying to impress? Tsubaki sitting next to you? If you hadn't noticed, she's not the smartest girl out there. I could easily get into her pants if all I did were a cartwheel."

"The fuck?!" Hayato jumped from the couch and looked out the window. "Show yourself, you coward!"

"What's going on?" Tsubaki asked, pulling her legs up close to her in a protective manner. "You're scaring me."

Hayato ignored her and scanned the front yard for anything suspicious. "I got cameras all on the outside of my house fuck face. I'll be able to catch you before you can even take one step onto my property."

"Who says I'm not already inside?"

Hayato's smug grin fell off his face, and he looked towards the kitchen and saw that the window had opened a crack. He and his family never leave with a window open when they're not home. He quickly hung up the phone and grabbed Tsubaki by the wrist. "We have to go! Now!"

"Wait, what's going on?!"

"I'll tell you later. But right now, we have to leave!"

He ran to the front door and opened it, where the Ghost face killer greeted him. Before Hayato could react, he was hit across the head with something hard. The last thing he heard before he blacked out was the sound of Tsubaki screaming, fading away.

When Hayato finally came to, all he could feel was the intense pain coming from the left side of his head. He looked up, his vision was starting to unblur, and he saw that he was in his backyard, Tsubaki tied in the chair next to him still out cold.

"Tsubaki!" He tried moving but saw that he was also bound to a chair. He felt hands grab tightly onto his shoulders and they leaned their head down next to his ear.

"Isn't she beautiful like this?" The killer whispered in Hayato's ear. "Tied up and gagged. I bet you love seeing her like that. I bet it gets you hard as a rock."

"Let us go!" Hayato demanded, but it only made the killer laugh.

"It's not going to be that easy for you. I have a game I want to play with you." He grabbed the back of Hayato's chair and dragged him to be right next to Tsubaki. Facing the outstretched plains of his backyard. The killer then walked up to Tsubaki and lightly slapped her face.

"Wake up sunshine. I don't want you to miss the rules of the game we're going to play."

Tsubaki's eyes slowly fluttered open. She was still disoriented from being hit in the head and lazily looked over at Hayato. She tried to speak, but all that came out were muffles from the cloth gag.

"Now that she's up, let's get into it shall we." The killer looked over at Hayato, fiddling with the knife in his hand. "We are going to see how tough you are Superman. One of you will make it out alive tonight, and you're the one who gets to choose who it is. There will also be no lying on your part this time if you survive because I got cameras recording this whole thing."

"What, so you can fap to it afterwards you sick freak?" Hayato hissed out.

"Nice one." The killed slammed his knife straight down onto Hayato's right hand, causing him to cry out in immense pain. "Now it looks like you won't be able to do it since your hand is injured. What a pity." He pulled the knife out and leaned closer to Hayato threateningly. "If you want to continue being a fucking smart ass, I'll just kill you right now and let sweet ol Tsubaki walk away. So, be a good little boy and play the fucking game! Your choice." He held the knife up to Hayato's neck. "Which will it be?"

Hayato gulped and looked over to Tsubaki, who was now fully conscious and looking at him terrified.

"Fine, I'll play." He said through clenched teeth.

"That was the right answer." The killer moved the knife from his neck and stood behind Tsubaki, playing with her long, black hair. "The game is simple really. It'll be like a little hunt. I let you both go and you have to try and escape the estate while I hunt you down. But don't worry, I'll give you both a 30-second head start, and don't even think about trying to fight me when I release you." The killer pulled out a revolver from underneath his robe and cocked it. "If you do, I'll use my handy dandy gun on you, and the other person will win the game and be free."

"What if we work together and both escape? How are you going to stop us then?" Hayato asked smugly as if he thought he could outsmart the killer.

"I made sure that only one exit through the estate will open, which is through your lovely hedge maze. I can't believe I forgot to mention that important detail. I rigged it so that once a person runs through the door, it will automatically close, locking the other person inside. To be killed, by little ol' me. Any more questions?"

Tsubaki began frantically mumbling something as she cried, but the killer just ignored it. "Great, let's get started!" He grabbed the back of her chair and began dragging her to the grass before finally ungagging her.

"Please don't do this!" She cried. "Our parents are rich. We can get you anything you want if you let us go!"

He looked up at her as he began cutting her restraints. "If it was money I wanted, I could've just gotten that by getting ahold of your parents easily." He leaned closer to her, to where his mask was almost touching her nose. "I want blood."

Tsubaki cried and the killer grabbed her arm to stand her up. He pushed her out towards the maze. "Now go, you have a little over 30 seconds since I feel like being a little nice. But I won't be so nice once your little boy toy is out there."

Tsubaki didn't waste any more time and spirited towards the maze, as the killer watched.

"That fucking bitch!" Hayato growled. "She's just going to leave me here to die?!"

"Like you wouldn't have done the same." The killer then went up to him and dragged him down to the grass.

As if he knew that Hayato would try and put up a fight, he held up the gun towards him while he cut his restraints. "Go, your time starts now."

Hayato ran towards the hedge maze. Hopefully, Tsubaki didn't make it too far so he would be able to catch up to her. Once he was inside, he already knew this was going to be difficult. He hasn't been through this maze since he was a child, and he's never been able to get through it by himself. He knew he had only a few seconds left before the killer would be after him, so he took a left at the first turn he saw.

He just took each turn as they came, not knowing if the direction he was taking was the right now. Whenever he met a dead end, he would curse to himself and backtrack, peering around each corner to see if the killer was close. He had no idea how long he'd been in the maze, but it felt like an eternity. He knew it must've not been longer than an hour. He needed to find Tsubaki and with her, they would be able to work together to escape the killer.

As if God was on his side, he heard fearful whimpering coming somewhere close to him. He followed it cautiously and found Tsubaki hidden underneath a table in the stone gazebo. He went up to her and placed a hand on her shoulder to get her attention, but she screamed and tried to get away from him. He had to quiet her down quickly or she would alert the killer. He quickly grabbed her again and used his hand to cover her mouth.

"Shh! It's just me!" He hissed out

There was the sound of leaves crunching off in the distance, and the couple looked towards the only opening of the maze.

'Shit, this fucking bitch just had to be stupid enough to choose the only place with one exit. If the killer finds us, we're both dead!'

They stood still for a while, trying to listen to see if the killer was anywhere close. When they didn't hear anything, Hayato finally let her go and put a finger to her lips to keep her quiet.

"Follow me, and stay quiet. I'll get us to the exit, alright?"

"But…But he said only one of us is going to survive. How are you going to stop him?"

"Don't worry, I got that covered." He held out a hand for her to take. "Let's get going."

Tsubaki took his hand and followed him through the rest of the maze. As if the map was now engraved in his brain, Hayato seemed like he knew where to go. Every turn he was taking didn't leave to a dead end, and that was good enough for him. Then finally, as if there was a spotlight on it, he can see the opening of the end of the maze and the back gate that led to their freedom. He smiled and began running out of the maze when a figure blocked their way to the exit.

'Fuck!' Hayato cursed in his mind.

"Took you guys long enough." The killer said. "I thought you guys did a Romero and Juliet in there from how long it took you guys. But now that you're here," He pulled out his knife and played with it in his hands in a toying manner. "Who is the one that's going to die tonight? I'll leave it up to y'all the choose." He moved to the side, just small enough for one person to fit through. "Whoever gets passed me first will be safe, while the person left behind…well," He sniggered. "You get the idea."

Hayato looked down at Tsubaki, who was clutching his arm tightly and shaking from fear. She looked up at him with tearful eyes.

"What are we going to do Hayato?"

He knew she was hoping that he would risk his life for her. That is what a true man is supposed to do in situations like this, and the woman gets to run free. Continuing to live her life, while he would most likely die in the fight.

But if he let her die, even though the killer said he was recording, Hayato could still figure out a way to say that the video was edited to make him look bad and that he tried to save Tsubaki but the killer was too quick and got her. Yeah, that had to work. He wasn't going to risk his life for some girl he barely even cared about. He was far more important.

He yanked his grip out of Tsubaki's grip, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

"Ha-Hayato, wh-what are you doing?" She asked him in a shaky voice.

"You really think I would sacrifice myself for an ugly bitch like you? You're lucky enough that I even brought you home since you would open your legs easily."

"Is…Is this part of your plan..? Why are you being this way?" She cried.

"I told you I had it covered." He smirked at her, almost as if he was insane. "I sacrifice you to the killer so I get to live. If you had a brain in the fucking head of yours, you would've caught onto my plan." He turned and began running towards the exit. "Sayonara!"

He passed the killer and ran out of the back gate, not even looking back as he heard Tsubaki screaming his name.

Tsubaki just watched in horror as Hayato ran away without her, leaving her for dead. She looked up at the killer, who was still facing away towards the back gate. He then turned back towards her in one swift movement, and she screamed. She curled up in a ball and cried. "Please, please don't kill me!" She cried. She heard his footsteps come closer to her and his boots squeaking as he squatted down to be next to her.

"Now, now, there is no need to cry." The killer said. "That was an awful thing that Hayato did to you, wasn't it? Don't worry, he'll get what's coming to him." He held out a hand for her, and she just looked at it. Unsure what he was trying to do.

"Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. I promise."

Hayato ran until he saw a road. Once he reached there, he could flag down a car and they could drive him to the nearest police station. If only he had his phone, then he could call an Uber, but he must've left his phone inside, or the killer took it. He just passed a big oak tree that was in front of his property, when he thought he saw something move from behind it. He ignored it, thinking it could be a squirrel or a deer and kept running. However, he began to hear that something was following him, and he turned to look to see what it was, but the next thing he knew, he was hit from the side like someone tackled him. His head hit the ground hard, causing him to black out.

Once Hayato regained consciousness, he realized that he was tied up to the tree trunk. He tried to move his body, but the rope was too tight around him.

"Well, look who is finally awake."

Hayato's eyes grew wide in horror when he saw the killer staring at him. No, no this couldn't be happening. He was the one that was supposed to be safe. Why was he tied up to a tree?!

"What the fuck?! I played by the rules of your game. Why am I tied here?!"

"Oh Hayato, Hayato. You were supposed to work together to decide who you were going to sacrifice. Not just throw poor little Tsubaki to the wolves."

"That wasn't part of your rules asshole!" Hayato seethed.

"Oh, it wasn't? How silly of me."

Hayato clenched his jaw. He knew if he let his temper get the best of him, it would only kill him. He had to figure out a way to get out of here, but by seeing the position he was in now, he knew it was unlikely he was ever going to get out.

"Well, since you played unfairly and just threw Tsubaki to be so hopelessly slaughtered without a second thought. I think we should give her a second chance. Shouldn't we?"

Hayato watched as Tsubaki made her way over toward the oak tree and stopped next to the killer. She avoided looking at Hayato and just stared at the floor.

"Now, she is the one who gets to decide if you live or die. I think that's only fair." The killer said.

Hayato could feel his body run cold. He gave Tsubaki a nervous smile. "Tsubaki, baby. You know I would never actually put you in danger. I knew he was going to keep you alive since you're a girl. So, I used the advantage to get the cops. You know I would never do anything that would actually kill you." He saw her expression turn from morose to angry in a matter of seconds and she looked up at him. Her eyes were full of fury. "Baby..?"

"It's up to you." The killer turned to her. "Do you want him to live, or do you want him to die?" He leaned closer to her, just above her ear, but Hayato could make out what he was saying. "He did leave you to be brutally killed. I would just think about that when you're making your decision."

Tsubaki clenched his fists tightly as she stared at Hayato. She was thinking about all the things he had said to her before he ran off to save himself. She may have not been the smartest girl at Ouran, but she wasn't dumb enough to fall for his shit.

"Kill him." She hissed.

"Wh-What?" Hayato was barely able to get out.

"Kill him!" She screamed out.

In a quick movement, the killer ran up to Hayato before he could fully react, and stabbed him one time in the stomach, before quickly taking it out and stabbing him in the neck before he could make any noise.

Once the knife left his neck, he tried to say something, but all that came out were gurgling noises. He looked over at Tsubaki as his vision began to fade. She was looking at him, horrified at what she had just had the killer do. He made one last attempt to communicate before his vision went black.

"Wh-What did I just do?" Tsubaki stuttered out. "I can't believe I actually had him killed. I'm a murderer."

"Don't worry, you're not a murderer." The killer said as he came up to her. He hugged her as if he was trying to comfort her. She reluctantly accepted it. Afraid of what would happen if she didn't. However, when he hugged her, it felt almost familiar. Like she has hugged this man before. She just couldn't figure out where.

Suddenly, his grip got tight around her, and she couldn't move.

"Wh-What are you doing?!"

"You may not be a killer, but you're just as selfish as Hayato, and I hate selfish people!"

She then felt a sharp, burning sensation as the knife went into her back. She gasped out as he took it out of her and stabbed her again, and again, and again. Until she could no longer stand. Then once she was on the floor, he straddled her back. She could see from his shadow that he had the knife held up above his head and once it impaled her, everything was black.
