Chapter 9 the kingdom celebration

The next morning the foursome had fallen asleep with Moxxie wrapping his hair around him as Millie snoozed on a log as she felt a drop of water fall on her as she moaned "*Mumbles* mmmm, is it raining?" She wonders as she woke up and saw a dripping wet…and pissed Celeste glaring at her "Hummm…well I hope you are here to apologize" said Millie with a sass remark…cue minutes later Moxxie waking up hearing her scream as he, Angel Dust and Cherry bomb seeing Millie being dragged by her tail by Celeste as Moxxie yelled as he ran grading Millies arms pulling her out of Celestes grip "Put her down!" He yelled as they did a bit of a tug of war until Celeste tripped as she loosened her grip on Millies tail as she was sent flying a bit as she saw Millie was free as she neighed angrily as she tried to get Millie but Moxxie stopped her.

"Woah woah woah woah now, easy girl *Celeste tried ot get around the imp but he kept cutting her off* easy" he said firmly but gently as he stared into Celestes eyes as she started to calm down "Good girl now, thats it now sit" he said as Cleste sat down confusing Millie "What?" "Woah" said Angel impressed "Kids got game" said Cherry as Moxxie gently patted the Galarian rapidash "Good girl you are a sweet heart are you?" Asked Moxxie as Celeste tail wagged at the complement "You really are, oh you are your all just tired from chasing this naughty girl all over the place?" Asked Moxxie as Millie had a 'you got to be kidding look' as Celeste nipped at her. "No one appreciates you? Do they?" Asked Moxxie hugging her as Celeste weighted sadly as she nuzzled on Moxxie shoulder "Oh come on she is a bad horse!" Barked Millie angery at beauing chased before "Oh she is nothing but a big old sweet heart" said Moxxie petting her muzzle as she neighed happily as Moxxie petted her under her chin "is that right *Sees a medallion with her name* Celeste? Why thats a lovely name" said Moxxie as Celeste neighed happily as Millie exasperated looked as Angel and Cherry patted her head grinning.

"Look today is kinda the biggest day of my life and I need, I need you to not get her arrested, just for 24 hours and then you can chase each other to your hearts content, okay?" Asked Moxxie as Millie held out a hand as Celeste turned away with a huff "Annnnd its also my birthday today just so you know" said Moxxie as if to guilt trip her as she huffed as she took Millies hand and shook it as Moxxie smiled as Cherry ruffled his top "You are a little devil you know" said Cherry as Moxxie beamed happily as he waled through the two shaking along with Angel and Cherry. Once they are a good distance away…the rapidash kicked Millie in her stomach making her groan as she fell to the floor as Celestie snickered as the imp pouted.

Soon the group made it out of the woods to the towns bridge as Millie noticed her wanted posted and quickly crumbled it into a ball as Celeste glared at her as she stuffed the crumpled poster in her mouth as the imp snickered until Celeste spat it out of her mouth and into her face as celeste laughed at her as Millie yanked it off glaring as they were ready to fight but Angel dust stopped them "No fighting you two or else" said Angel dust he said giving a 'I'm watching you so watch out' as the two pouted. Back with Moxxie he was in awe and smiling seeing the town as it was packed and decorated with flats that were green and black with the sigil for greed in the middle for the festival as he was about to walk forward but a couple of people ran past him along with a couple of birds as he ran to the side to avoid them knocking over another person "Sorry" he said as he yelped as his hair was stuck on something as he turned and saw Millie, Angel dust and Cherry picking up the long locks as they walked over. They wont be going far unless they figure out how to take care of this hair buisness.

Luckily Millie saw a group of wrath and greed imp girls that were part of a scout troupe braiding each others hair as she got an idea "Hay girls" she said calling them over "Want a challenge?" He asked as they gasped in delight as they got to work to Braid moxies hair with angel dust joining in as well. Millie watched smiling but ducked down seeing the guards as Celeste glared at her as she looked up and saw Moxxie now floor length hair tied in a braid that was decorated with green gems and white lily flowers as it was above his legs as he twirled a bit studying his long hair "Thank you" he said happily to be free of the heavy locks without cutting it. Millie grinned at how cute he looks as she smiled as Cleste and Cherry gave a knowing look as Millie pushed them aside with a 'who asked you' look.

Moxxie then dragged Millie, Angel and Cherry down the street from one Kiosk to another and even stopped at a bookstore where Moxxie was finally able to read new and amazing books filled with amazing things he didnt know about as piles of books surrounded him until Millie smiling seeing the scene as she and Angel dust had to pull him away to go to the next spot.

A little later Millie was in line for some treats as Moxxie saw a mural of Lady Emerald and Mayor Crimson and the baby…a baby impling with the same colored hair as him as he came closer curious as he noted a few people leaving flowers "See for the lost Heir" said a Electric lion like sinner named Clemont (Pokemon) to his little sister a half angel/half mouse named Bonnie as she nodded as Moxxie kept looking at the murial confused on why the baby looked so much like him…only for his thoughts to be cut off by musicians going by him playing instruments as he followed curious as Millie quickly paid for their treats as she turned and saw Moxxie dancing along with the music as everyone joined in as Moxxie soon grabbed more people as they danced in a line, spinnin, jumping and coupling up as Moxxie saw Millie who was watching as he motioned her to join as Millie shook her head no but Celeste pushed her into the dancer as she was grabbed by one as she glared at the rapidash as she was pulled into the dance as it was a whirlwind of dancing and fun as Millie and Moxxie soon got together as the two imps smiled and laughed together a bit enjoying the festivities together.

A bit later Millie bought Moxxie a flag as she gave it to Moxxie as he smiled as he looked at it.

They went back to dancing as the couples changed and twirled and danced togehter as the two imps were having a great time as they shared a look and laughed. Soon they went to do art as Moxxie doodled a large white-blue flower with green, black and yellow flowers in the background as he stepped back as the other artists were in awe and amazement.

Next the two hid from the guards walking past as they were hiding as they smiled and held cupcakes together enjoying the snack.

Soon night came as the dusky skies glowed over greed as the dance came to a stop as the couples got together as Millie tried to find away to get to Moxxie as he was spun into her arms as they looked into each others eyes lovely and were about to kiss but…"Too the boats!" Yelled a voice as the two separated and laughed a bit as they followed the crowd leading to the boats.

Authors note: Looks like Moxxie had a super great time and a great birthday with Millie as they got closer and closer and now its time for the big event.

Next chapter the lanterns fly as Millie and Moxxie finally discovered that they truely are in love with each other.
