Chapter 10: I can see the light
At the docks Moxxie and Millie got into there boat as Moxxie stared out at the lake as Millie rowed into the lake as Cherry and Angel watched as Millie turned back to Celeste who gave a disappointed nicker "Come on now Celeste *Tosses a bag to the dock that was grabbed by Angel dust as he opened showing several apples as the rapidash gave a look* what I bought them" said Millie as she rowed away as Angel and cherry shared them "most of them" said Millie whispering as Moxxie looked at Millie "So where are we going?" He asked "To the best day of your life I figured you should have a decent seat" said Millie as it soon became completely dark as Millie rowed to the middle of the lake with a amazing view of the palace as the two sat side by side as Moxxie sighed worried "What's wrong Mox? You ok?" She asked "I'm…I'm terrified" said Moxxie a bit nervous in his belly "Why?" Asked Millie "I've been looking out my window for 16 years *Looks up* when those lights rise to the sky, what if its not what I dreamed to be" he said "It will be" said Millie "And what if it is? What then?" Asked Moxxie "That's a good point, then you find a new dream" said Millie as Moxxie smiled as they looked back up waiting for the lanterns.
Back at the castle Emerald was fixing Crimsions outfit as the imp looked down as his wife gently touched his cheek. It has been 20 years since they lost there dear Moxxie and each year it felt a bit hard emotionally to do this…but Crimson trusts his wife, that maybe…maybe this year the lanterns will guide there child home as they went to a special lantern as they lit it and like every year it flew off in the sky.
The citizens bellow saw this and they lit there lanterns and then let them go as soon all of the other lanterns in the town lit up as the royal lantern flew higher in the air.
Meanwhile Moxxie handed some of the flowers in his hair to Millie as he gently put some of them into the water until he noticed the lantern in the reflection as he looked up and saw a river of lanterns as he was in awe as his dream had started for him.
Moxxie: All these days watching from the windows
All those years outside looking in
Moxxie got up excitedly nearly knocking over Millie as he ran to the front of the boat looking more and more of the villagers let loose there lanterns as they joined the royal lanterns glowing in the sky as it looked like a river of stars in a way.
All that time never really knowing
Just how blind I've been
Now I'm here suddenly I see standing here, its all so clear
I'm where I'm meant to be *Soon near them the boats also let out their lanterns as Moxxie smiled seeing more join this river of stars*
And at last I see the light
And its like the fog has lifted
And at last I see the light
And its like the sky is new
And its warm and real and bright
And the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything looks diffrent now that I see you
Moxxie took a look at Millie who seems to have a glow as he then frowned thinking about the choker that he had hid from her earlier as he turned wanting to tell her when he saw her holding two lanterns as Moxxie smiled as he sat down reaching down under the bench "I have something for you as well *Shows Millies sachel* I should have told you before but I was afraid but now…I'm not afraid anymore…you know what I mean?" He said as Millie was surprised but as she reached for the bag…but just pushed it down "I am starting to" she said smiling as with all of the traveling with such a excitable imp that is Moxxie she started to fall for the sweet magical imp as she started to see that maybe there was more to life then stealing and running.
As she lit the candles in the lantern as she handed the second one to Moxxie as they lifted them up as they floated off to join the river of lanterns as she looked at Moxxie.
Millie: all those days chasing down a daydream
All those years living in a blurr
All that time never truely seeing things the way they were
Now he's here shining in the starlight now he's here I suddenly know *She smiled as Moxxie pointed towards the royal lantern that was coming their way as he picked it up and sent it flying back into the air gently as they smiled
If he's here its crystal clear
I'm where I'm meant to go
Gently Millie took Moxxie hands into hers as they shared eye contact with one another.
Both: And at last I see the light
Millie: and its like the fog has lifted
Both: And at last I see the light
Moxxie: and its like the sky is new
Both: And its warm and ray and bright and the world has somehow shifted
All at once everything is diffrent

Both imps looked at each and leaned close to kiss when Millie saw Deerie and Baby doll at the shore holding a green lantern as they walked off "Is everything alright?" Asked Moxxie "Huh?" She asked as she looked at Moxxie and at the sachel "There's a pit stop I need to do *Gets to shore* I'll be back…I promise" she said as she took the sachel and ran after the two needing to cut ties with the two bandits "I am sorry everything is fine, its just something I need to take care of" said Millie once they were at the shore "Okay" said Moxxie as the female imp left as Angel Dust and Cherry were worried "It will be ok since you two formed a trusting bond I am sure she'll be back" said Angel dust patting Moxxie head as Moxxie watched worried.
Authors note: aww so cute but it looks like its time for Millie to cut ties with his old bandit buddies.
Next chapter Millie is captured by Deerie and Baby doll and is framed she abandoned Moxxie as Valatino swoops and takes Moxxie
