Inside the warehouse, Triad thugs were chatting, smoking cigarettes, or doing drugs. There were about twenty gangesters. The ones in the center were discussing about the three boxes of goods that had been brought by the truck outside.
"So is this everything?" Said lead thug, who had two hatchets strapped to his back and his hair tied to a ponytail.
"Yup. Everything you ordered is here." Said the driver of the truck.
The thug then opened the first box. It was loaded with packs of cocaine. He took out a couple of them and sniffed them to check if they are in good condition. After he was sure, he ordered another gangster to check the second box. The box opened to reveal many rifles and shotguns. The gangster took out one of the guns and inspected it. After he made sure it was in good quality, he nodded to his leader.
"Very good, but what about the artifact? The boss seeks it." Said the gang leader.
"It's right here." Answered the driver as he brought forward a much smaller box.
The gang leader took the box and opened it. Inside was an ancient scroll with a blue dragon symbol stamped on the middle of the casing. The leader smirked then closed the box.
"Excellent. The boss will be most pleased." Said the thug.
Suddenly, the roof shattered with the hooded stranger dropping down followed by bits of ice, startling the gangsters and making them raise their weapons.
"What the fuck!?" Said one gangster.
"Who in the hell are you?!" Shouted another.
The gang leader snarled and took out his hatchets.
"Surround him!" The gang leader commanded.
The thugs surrounded the hooded individual with their weapons at the ready. Some wielded chains, others had knives, machetes, hatchets, and even blunt weapons like pipes and crowbars. The stranger took out a bronze cylinder from his trench coat and it extended into his staff. He held the staff in a calm, relaxed stance, not giving into fear. His bright blue eyes narrowed with determination and ambition. His only thought was to take out his enemies and reclaim what's his.
"Kill this intruder!" Said the leader.
The gangsters rushed at the stranger. One thug with a lead pipe rushed from the front was knocked back with a blow to the end from the stranger's staff, making him fall on several more thugs. Two more came from behind and with knives and baseball bats, but the stranger sweeps them off their feet with his staff, making them fall. Another came at him from the right side with a crow bar but the stranger immediately turned to him and followed with a swift but powerful palm strike to the chest, sending the thug flying to the wall. A thug came from the left side with a single hatchet and the hooded stranger responded with a turning side kick knocking down. All of a sudden, the stranger let out a cry of pain when the leader slashed downward at his back while another thug with a machete slashed diagonally at his chest, making him drop to his knees.
"You think you can just crash in here, and make a mess, in our place?! You stupid filth of a man!" Shouted the gang leader.
The leader then saw something that made him gasp in shock. The wound done to the stranger began to close. But when they healed, the skin was actually blue scales instead of human skin. But what made the gang leader and his men more unsettling is the sudden, inhumane growl that sounds almost like an alligator and a cold, frosty breath from the vigilante. The blue eyes with slit pupils now narrowed and glowered. He just got mad. He slowly got to his feet. He then took off his gloves and threw them down to reveal scaly paws with five digits and short white claws on each paw.
"I am no man!" Said the vigilante before he tore off his trench coat to reveal his true nature, shocking the Triads.
The stranger had heavy reptilian features. He had light azure scales all over his athletic, muscular body with a light grey underbelly on his torso. His face had whiskers like a carp and fangs like a tiger. He had short antlers on top of his head. He even had long black hair at the back of his head. At his waist a scaly tendril uncurled revealed to be his tail with a black hair tip. He also had dark grey spines running along the center of his back from his head to his tail. The beast kicked off his shoes to reveal clawed scaly feet each with five taloned toes. The vigilante was a dragon, of Asian origin.
"What. The. Fuck. Are you?!" Asked the terrified leader.
"The beast who you never should have angered." The blue dragon hissed.
"Kill this freak!" Yelled the leader.
The gangsters all rushed at the blue beast again. The dragon detached his staff into two short sticks and used them to knock down two thugs in just a couple swift blows. He disarmed a third from his lead pipe with his left stick and struck him hard in the head with the butt of his stick, knocking him out. Already two of the gangsters began to cower and decided to go to the boxes of goods to get guns. Meanwhile, a couple of thugs began to throw knives at the blue warrior, but he dodged them and deflected one with one of his sticks back at the one of the knife thrower's heads, killing him instantly. A gangster with a chain grabbed one of the dragon's sticks with his weapon and yanked it out of his paw. The dragon was unmoved by his partial disarmament and threw his remaining stick at the thug's head, knocking him out.
Without a weapon in hand, the blue dragon ducked a crowbar and did a spinning sweep using his tail making the gangster fall down. Two more thugs rushed at him with hatchets and the dragon responded doing a jumping double kick to send them flying. Three gangsters came at him all at once with knives, baseball bat, and a hatchet. And with lightning speed, he struck the one holding knives in the throat with an extended paw, crushing and puncturing it, making him bleed rabidly through the mouth and fall dead. He struck the second thug holding a baseball bat hard in the chest with a powerful reverse punch that caused his shoulder blade to break and move backwards and him to drop dead. And he turned to side kick the third in the face that pulverized the skull, killing him.
The dragon heard guns cocking and looked up to see the remaining two thugs with a rifle and a shotgun respectively. They opened fire, causing the beast to run and duck behind a metal table that was flipped over.
"Gotcha now you freaky piece of shit!" Shouted the thug with the shotgun.
"Damn! Should have thought about those guns! I know I'm good but even I am no match for guns. I have only one option." Thought the dragon as the thugs continued firing.
The dragon inhaled deeply and leapt from the table. In the air, he let out a cold foggy mist straight at the gunmen and box of weapons. The thugs were enveloped before they could even react. As the dragon landed on the ground he calmly took a deep breath and he analyzed the damage he had done. The area was covered in ice. The gangsters were frozen solid, and as the dragon walked over to them, he poked one of them causing him to crack. He then looked over to the box of guns and saw that they are rendered useless by the ice.
The gang leader shuddered far behind the dragon, terrified by what the blue being had done. The dragon then slowly turned around and glowered at him.
"There is no point in fighting anymore. You have lost." Said the dragon.
"I don't know what the fuck you are, or how you took out my boys, but I'd rather die by some freak then suffer the boss's wrath!" Said the horrified gangster with his hatchets raised.
As the leader charged, the dragon disarmed him by grabbing his wrists and twisting them, causing him to yell in pain and drop his weapons. The thug then tried to punch the dragon, but the reptilian warrior grabbed his fist and followed with an uppercut, sending him flying. As soon as the gangster landed on the ground, the dragon leapt in the air and land on the thug. He then twisted his legs breaking his bones all over his body and ending his life.
The blue scaled warrior looked around at the aftermath of the battle. Every Triad member was either dead or unconscious. Blood and mucus where everywhere. The dragon picked up some cash from the fallen. He found and reattached his combat sticks into his staff. He then walked over to the small box containing the scroll. He opened the box, revealing the scroll is still in one peace. The dragon sighed in relief. He then took the scroll and looked at it.
"One step closer in avenging your death, father." The dragon said as he put it in his bag jumped out the destroyed rooftop of the warehouse and abandoned the aftermath of the battle.
Whoo yeah!! That's one hell of a battle!
Our mysterious vigilante turned to be a dragon, and an Asian dragon to be exact! And boy is he a badass!!
But what are his exact motives? Why did he want the scroll so bad? And why did the triads want it so bad?
Find out in the next couple chapters! Though I think I'll take a break for Christmas.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas and happy holidays, everybody!
MergingEmperor7, bowing out.
