In Central Park sat an abandoned and run down reservoir station. Inside, a rather strange family of individuals lived there. In one area, a humanoid turtle with a purple bandanna was working in a small lab, while another in an orange mask was reading comic books in the living room area. One turtle in a blue bandana was practicing with his katana swords while another in the far side of him was in a red mask hitting a punching bag. Meanwhile a grey humanoid rat in a brown kimono robe was watching television, surfing the channels. When he landed on the news, the rat gasped at what the news was showing.
"My sons, look at this!" Commanded the rat.
The four humanoid turtles stopped what they're doing and rushed over.
"What's going on, master Splinter?" Asked the blue masked turtle.
"Looks like there's a new vigilante in town." Said the red masked turtle.
"It would appear so, Raphael." Splinter said as they watched the news.
"Less than an hour ago, a black market trade in a warehouse in Chinatown run by the Chinese Triads was stopped by unknown persons. Some Triad members are dead while others are injured, and currently in police custody. Officer, can you tell us the details?" Asked the News Reporter.
"Well there are several unanswered questions like who took out these gangsters and was it even the work of another crime syndicate. But we do know that they were dealing with guns, drugs and some ancient Chinese artifacts. There's also the fact that a couple of the thugs were frozen into blocks of ice along with a crate of guns, rendering them useless. How? We are still investigating that. But will get to the bottom of this. The Traid thugs that are still alive and in police custody will be interrogated once they recover." Answered the police officer being interviewed.
"The crime scene is still being investigated and there is no way of telling if the Triads will be cooperative in their interrogations. This is Mary Schwartz, Channel nine news." Said the News Reporter.
Five mutants stared for a moment before the purple masked turtle spoke up.
"You don't think it's Hun and the Purple Dragons, right?" The turtle asked.
"Or maybe it's a badass Kung fu Master with ice powers.. ow!" Said the orange masked turtle before getting slapped up the back of his head by Raphael.
"Hush Michelangelo!" Splinter said sternly.
"It couldn't be Hun, Donatello. If it was, he and his goons would have taken all the goods from the Triads." Said the blue masked turtle.
"Leonardo is correct. This is not an attack from rival criminals. It is most likely a vigilante." Splinter said.
"I think we need to have a chat with this guy, I'm starting to like him." Said Raphael.
"We don't know his true motives, Raph. But yeah, this is worth investigating. Master Splinter, would you allow us to track down this mysterious individual tomorrow night?" Asked Leonardo.
Splinter thought about it for a moment before coming to a conclusion.
"You have my permission, my sons. But be warned, he might not be a friendly being, so be prepared if he decides to fight." Said Splinter.
"Yes sensei." The turtles said in unison and bowed to him.
Meanwhile, at a Chinese noodle restaurant called Mr Lei's, the owner had just closed shop. He had long, greying hair and a short beard. He was wearing shining green traditional Chinese clothing. After the owner closed the blinds and turned off the lights, he walked to the back and went upstairs to his apartment above the restaurant. As he opened the door to his residence, he turned the light to his living room. The blue dragon was there, waiting! But when the Chinese man slowly turned behind him to face the dragon, his face showed no emotion. The two individuals stared at each other for a moment. The dragon then put his right fist into his left palm and bowed to the man.
"Sifu." Said the dragon.
The man bowed back.
"How was your night, my pupil?" Asked the Chinese restaurant owner.
"It wasn't easy, master Lei, but I managed to pull it off." Replied the dragon as he took out the scroll.
"You have it. You are indeed one step closer to your revenge, Chen Lung." Said Lei.
"I will began training at once master." Replied the dragon named Chen Lung.
"Are you not tired, my student? Surely your frost breath has drained you of your energy, Chen." Said Lei.
"Forgive me, sifu, it's just that I am so obsessed with vengeance for what the Triads did to my father. Thought I must admit I am tired. My frost breath attack made my throat feel dry." Answered Chen.
"I know Chen. But you mustn't let your emotions cloud your mind, or they will be your doom." Said Lei.
"I understand, master. Good night." Said the dragon before he and his master bowed to each and the blue dragon walked downstairs to the restaurant.
Chen walked into the kitchen and went behind the counter where he pressed a button underneath and the floor so his right opened to reveal a flight of stairs. The dragon proceeded to walk down the stairs and the floor above him closed after a minute. After few more moments of walking, the stairs need to a dark area. Luckily there was a light switch nearby which Chen turned on, revealing a large lair!
One each side were two rooms. The room on the left leads to the training room filled with wooden dummies, sand dummies, and heavy punching bags as well as weights. The far left room leads to the bathroom, containing a bathtub, shower, and toilet. On the right side of the lair the lower right door leads to the recreation room that includes a sofa, couch, and a tv. On a shelf below it was a blue Ray player and a collection of Kung fu movies including Five Venoms, 36th chamber of Shaolin, Five Elements Ninjas and all the Bruce Lee films. At the far right door was the bedroom, featuring a bed with green blankets and sheets, a nightstand with a lamp and a picture on top. Also in the bedroom was a wardrobe and posters around the room with beautiful Chinese paintings as well martial arts Star posters such as Donnie Yen, Jet Li, and Bruce Lee.
In the center of the lair was a large mat showing the Ying and Yang symbol. Straight ahead was a portrait of a middle aged Chinese man and bellow it was a table holding an incense pot with incense sticks next to it. The dragon walked over to the shrine and lit some incense.
Chen dimmed the lights by using the dimmer on the switch and walked to his bedroom. He took the scroll out of his bag and put it away in a drawer in the nightstand. The dragon then climbed in bed and looked at the picture on his night stand. It showed the same Chinese man from the shrine in a leather jacket and a brown shirt underneath with a mustache and a smile on his face. He was holding hands with a little Chinese boy who had a bob cut hair and a red shirt with a toothy grin on his face. Chen shed a single tear at it.
"Dad, I miss you. One day I'll make the animals pay for taking you from me." Chen Lung thought before closing his blue eyes and went fast asleep.
The ninja turtles finally appear, and plan to find this vigilante.
So we finally know the dragon's name. And that he has a human Kung fu master! But we also know his father was killed by the Triads. But what's the scroll's roll in his quest to avenge him?

MergingEmperor7 bowing out.
