Knowing Hakuno, Morgan and 2B are voiced by Yui Ishikawa really affects me when I heard the voice actress singing Weight of the World from Nier: Automata. Damn, just damn, picturing 2B or Morgan singing it brings the feels since you know what their stories are like and the worlds they live in.
Anyways…I wish I could worldbuild more in the Danmachi Lostworld, involving this world's version of China, Africa and Americas but that's too much of a stretch and I would need help in cultural understanding, language, etc.
I have so much ambition and so little understanding of things.
In the China arc, it would explore the world of cultivators and martial arts tournaments. Africa arc would be visiting tribes, understanding the ways of the Loa and hunting big game that were never spawned by the Dungeon. The America Arc would be of shamanism and communing with nature spirits. Each arc would have specific Heroic Spirits and members of the Hestia Familia associated with the arc as they would help explain it in detail of their ways of life and educate others.
Sadly I'm not confident in both my knowledge and writing to pull those off without issues.
By dawn, everyone was heading towards the final stages of the Empire's campaign. There was a tent guarded by soldiers as a veiled woman stood at the front, waiting for them. The design and accessories implied someone of importance, nobility or even royalty themself. The Horseman Conquest made it clear sneak attacks were frowned upon when the Empire attempted so in the past. This wasn't a surrender, this was negotiations. "Is the girl named Hakuno Kishinami among your group?" the woman asked as several of the gods and adventurers glanced at each other with a wary look. The gods knew that Hakuno's revelation of what happened to Elohim and Asherah was widespread to the world and the origins of the Dungeon, but didn't like the followers of Elohim due to their…extreme response to the truth.
It was the reason they were in this war in the first place, and now it seems this girl is needed again for something important. Just what is it that makes that lone human girl so special?
*Negotiation Tent*
Hestia sat alongside her daughter and Ais stood beside her Lady dutifully as a knight should when the veiled woman sat on the other side of the table. Hestia was wary, as she could practically see the snake-like nature of the woman in front of them. She was up to something but the goddess couldn't tell what.
But Hakuno could see, she had decided to use her rarely used Fairy Eyes to discern the truth of the woman and she saw the true nature of the woman in front of her. Blind hatred and rage burned behind that noble facade, a lusting longing for someone no longer there and pure desperation. Hints of cruelty were buried deep within those numerous surface emotions but Hakuno dared not look deeper. This woman is a dark reflection of herself, an insanely sane woman. The difference in their insanity was that Hakuno was tortured to no end in sight and she refused to give up to despair even when her mind was driven insane by the Fake BB created by Kazuradrop. This woman was driven insane from her own immortal life, forced to be with a man she didn't want to be with, the one she liked dead, and casted out of the Gardens of Eden by other gods after Elohim was murdered and Asherah imprisoned in the ground. This woman she learned was not Eve, but Lilith the Dark Matron of Humanity who was driven to a state of endless revenge against the world.
"It is an honor to finally meet you, Holy Witch of Hestia." Lilith spoke softly, a voice fine as silk yet dipped in venom. "I've been wondering what words we would exchange when we finally meet, and here we are." she gestured to the tent the four were in. "Let me skip the pleasantries dearie and I'll state what I want: the Holy Sword." she demanded as Hakuno inwardly rolled her eyes at that. It was always having power when it came to it. Lilith wants power for her revenge, which is not surprising to her.
Ais on the other hand was disturbed by the woman, the presence the lady had reminded her of the black flames that once burned within her, yet far more repulsive and sinister. It was like looking into a mirror that was stained with mold and rot, making it a disgusting reflection of herself. If she had never met the Loki Familia, Hakuno and the Hestia Familia, would her life be like this woman's, just as vile and wicked in the future? Cautiously, Ais strained her ears as she listened outside the tent, hearing faint footsteps, armored ones at that. An ambush.
Ais was pretending to rest a hand on her hip, the one near Desperate while Hestia took faint notice of it and subtly tapped Hakuno's leg with a finger while the witch conversed with Lilith to buy time.
"Why would you want an incomplete Holy Sword?" Hakuno asked, getting Lilith to reply, only for the Dark Matron to pause as she repeated the question in her mind and comprehend just what she heard.
"Incomplete?" she demanded, anger bubbling within the woman's soul as Hakuno sighed.
"I only recently acquired the power. Running off with something incomplete like that one when I made it will break in a single use…and is taxing to make." Hakuno shook her head, causing Lilith to slightly gap while trying to say something. It was a half-truth, since Ais's Holy Sword was in truth a lesser quality than the idea Holy Sword Lilith sought and only Hakuno, Morgan and Ais herself knew of her Holy Sword's existence (not counting her mother Aria of course). This caused Lilith to slump in her seat for a brief second before straightening herself and clearing her throat.
"I understand Lady Kishinami, and I apologize on behalf of the idiotic zealots of our Empire's faith. They're…" Lilith trailed off, trying to best describe them.
"Well-meaning but evil due to their own ignorance and egos?" Hestia guessed, recalling back in Tenkai, certain followers to certain deities, including her own pantheon had unusual methods of worship upon them. Zeus had one of the worst by the offering of their own child as a dish nonetheless!
Lilith snapped her fingers and pointed at Hestia without pause.
"Exactly!" she exclaimed and the three can see the honest exasperation and mental exhaustion on the woman's face. "These guys preach one thing and do the exact opposite at times. Hypocrites the whole lot!" Then the Dark Matron began to ramble on about the things they say and do and honestly Hestia and Hakuno can understand the concept of responsibility for others actions as Ais heard whispers from outside the tent.
The soldiers of the Empire overheard Lilith's ramblings and were sounding hurt or offended, trying to defend themselves by saying they're not like that and that sort. Few soldiers were countering by saying that they saw them doing this and that…needless to say arguments were affecting the entire group that came with Lilith.
"I understand your need for revenge, Your Majesty," Hakuno closed her eyes and breathed calmly. "I am aware of the truth those fanatics refuse to acknowledge, but recent events would change everything when I say that Elohim's return is possible."
The minute those words left her lips, Lilith was instantly on the table, grabbing Hakuno's shoulders and she saw those bloodshot green eyes looking directly into her brown ones. "How?" the woman's voice demanded, sounded warped and twisted by dark forces and a familiar stench Hakuno smelt back in the Moon Cell. A great evil born of humanity that threatens it—A Beast of Calamity.
Kiara Sessyoin had that same repugnant smell to her soul, a twisted love of humanity which was possible since Lilith is the mother of all of humanity in this world instead of Eve. It seemed that despite her hatred of the world as it is, Lilith still had love of the humans she birthed and those descended from her. But she had plans for Hakuno, that the witch was certain of as she began her explanation of finding fragments of Elohim's soul to revive the Betrayed God with the help of Asherah's human avatar. Lilith's twisted darkness lessened in Hakuno's Fairy Eyes, that bitter taste of hope after so many long lonely years had found meaning and purpose in her life again. The chances of justice for her own (delusional) suffering, correcting the many wrongs and establishing a paradise of humanity were running inside Lilith's mind. All while unaware that Hakuno suspects her with wariness hidden behind her usual stoic face.

[Larvae Beast-Class (Evil of Humanity)]
The Moon Cell confirmed the worst. Just like Kiara, Lilith was an Evil of Humanity, but of what scope, Hakuno did not know of yet. For Lilith has yet to fully mature as a Beast, rendering the means of summoning Grand Servants impossible if what Gareth-chan described how the Grand Order has been about these things. Luckily Gilgamesh and Nero had their Mythological Mystic Codes ready to be used in such a scenario, which she was grateful that the Moon Cell had predicted way ahead for such a scenario.
Lilith had calmed herself as she let go, slowly adjusting her clothes and clearing her throat with a cough, looking away almost guilty. "Pardon me. The news has been…rather shocking that I couldn't compose myself." she admitted with honesty.
"I share that understanding quite well myself actually." Hestia agreed with a dry tone as her eyes looked to Hakuno and her habit of finding trouble in the most absurd ways. If it wasn't for the fact now that she knew Hakuno's true capabilities, her stress levels would be over the top. Yes, she still worries for her daughter just because Hakuno is powerful, she isn't invincible. Those prosthetic arms are a testament of that statement. "So after all of this, what is your stance now?" Hestia asked, probing the woman for anything that might be of use.
Lilith gave her a small confused look before realizing what she meant and gave a casual shrug. "I suppose I can just let you all win against the Empire by ridding off those depraved zealots. I have no need for those that follow this 'Holy Church' now as a better means of revenge against those who wronged me and my divine parents. That and their teachings are full of holes and the people are hypocrites."
That was a given, since Father Kotomine back on the Moon Cell had expressed his own dislike of how the clergy's corruption had been rampant even after the human he was based off of died. Given whom the current Pope in her timeline was and how hypocritical he was in certain tenants he broke, Lilith had a point. The Church's teachings were not needed in this world since they have caused this world enough pain, suffering and death.
"Does that mean…?" Hestia asked cautiously while Lilith had a dark chuckle before looking at Hakuno and Ais specifically.
"You kids have fun with them. The Empire won't be missing them."
Permission to kill every last one of the members of the Holy Church, how nice. Hakuno could picture the Clocktower getting the A-OK to wipe out the Church in an all-out war without consequences if they were still around in her timeline weeping with joy at the chance to rid themselves of a major headache plaguing them for centuries.
Rejoice indeed.
*Meanwhile-Hestia Tent…*
"I'm sure they're alright, Bell." Welf reassured his friend as he examined the piece of ore with a concentrated eye. "Hakuno knows how to handle herself, alongside Ais, Lady Hestia won't be harmed." He spotted that there were a few impurities in this, ones that can easily be removed once the ore is refined.
"But Welf, remember how hard Loki and Freya Familia fought against those Archons? I worry that a whole platoon of them were waiting just for Captain and Miss Ais." Bell responded with worry. Primo looked up from a book she was reading, feeling slightly miffed that Bell was having doubts while Lili scoffed at that and decided she needed to clear any doubts Bell had.
"Master Bell, I've been with Hakuno-sama since she started adventuring. She faced a Monster Rex solo on a bi-weekly basis in the Dungeon, decimated the Ishtar Familia and their high level warriors in a single night, bested the Sword Princess in a duel while holding back her true skills and faced a Horseman of the Apocalypse. The only notable injury she has is her arms and that's only to protect Primo-sama from certain death. Plus, we've seen her decimate the Holy Empire's elite soldiers with a scythe. A weapon she admits she is not very skilled at using just yet." Lili listed off the many things the Captain of the Hestia Familia had done in her short career with her arms folded. "Do you really think they have anything she can't beat?"
Lili pointing that out actually made Bell pause at that, recalling just the fact that Hakuno was already powerful enough before she helped form the Hestia Familia with their patron goddess. It got a chuckle out of the rabbit boy as he scratched the back of his head sheepishly. "Hahaha, sorry Lili. I guess you do have a point. I guess I was just worrying for nothing I guess." he admitted while Lili nodded her head in agreement and a small smug of pride.
"That's right! Mom is just that awesome! Plus Nero, Helel, and Sugar Daddy are usually by her side should things get messy! Oh, and BB with those girls ready to annihilate anyone they deem a threat to mom." Primo reasoned with a puff of her cheeks.
A solid point, those acquaintances of Hakuno's (and spouses) were powerhouses that were beyond what even Loki and Freya Familia could achieve in life. While the two most powerful familia in Orario were considered giants, Hakuno's allies were power incarnate. Even Bell himself could feel the swirling power within each of them just by a side-glance.
"Well that's good and all, but given some of the dirty tricks they have. Do you think the Empire will have something that can stop her magic if she decides to use it?" Welf asked.
"Um…Would it be safe to say she does have something if they do have a means to stop her magic?" Haruhime, who was polishing Hakuno's Muramasa blade, carefully spoke up and got everyone else's attention. "Hakuno-sama confided with me that she has a special power over fire, one that is not magical in nature when I first started training with my magic." Now that got intense stares before looking at Hakuno's moonlit katana. "While it's true the sword produces its own non-magical flames, Hakuno-sama has it as well." Haruhime told them before holding her palm out as a sphere of beautiful golden orange flames manifested gently in it without burning her. "This flame she wields is more potent than what I can do even with her teaching me when it comes to destruction. My flames were of healing nature when we studied it." she explained as the flame's warmth caused a soothing, calming effect on everyone.
"Mom taught you how to do this?" Primo asked, awe and wonder as she felt as if she was looking at a miniature star in Haruhime's hands. The Renard gently swiped her hand and the flames dissipated into faint embers, resembling golden flakes that soon disappeared before any could hit the ground.
"These flames are sacred to Hakuno-sama. It is a piece of her power that very few are permitted to learn-let alone wield with her blessing." Haruhime responded with a gentle but firm voice. "While mine like I said was for healing, Hakuno-sama's flames are capable of wiping out cities if she was inclined to do so. But it's difficult to control at the moment and she prefers to avoid casualties." she explained before Welf had a look of realization as he recalled something.
"Wait…wasn't there a massive fire in the Dungeon several months back that took weeks to die out due to unnatural flames?" he asked out of the blue as Haruhime refused to look him in the eyes. "...So she caused that?" a nod confirmed it as Welf rubbed his head and laughed nervously. Meanwhile Bell and Primo looked utterly confused by that since they weren't aware of the full story as Lili had an awkward smile as she recalled that incident quite well.
That time when Hakuno went to the Dungeon to train for the duel against Ais when she was still part of the Loki Familia, the Holy Witch trained in the Water City since the monsters from previous floors no longer provide any improvements to her stats and both the Supporter and Haruhime were dragged along for that ride. When the Monster Rex of that floor spawned, Hakuno decided to see how effective her fire powers were and utterly decimated the Water City by accident. Needless to say, Hakuno forbade herself from ever using those flames unless under dire circumstances and made Lili and Haruhime swear to silence on that fiasco.
But even without telling anyone, Hestia had a heart attack when she heard of the incident as she was worried that something terrible had happened to her children when one of said children was actually responsible for this.
"Lili will say this once as a reminder: Hakuno-sama is someone who can take care of herself so stop worrying about it." the Pallum stated as everyone smiled and agreed on that.
*Chaldea*
Jinako hummed to herself as she moved the holographic screens around and organized them in some manner only Karna could discern at the moment. The screens were showing videos and pictures of Hakuno's battles in the Moon's Holy Grail War, the CCC Incident, and the recent ones Jeanne Alter took when she observed the war against the Holy Empire. "She hasn't changed one bit eh, Karna?" Jinako asked with a whimsical tone as Karna's eyes closed in recollection.
"If what the British Lostbelt was described, then I'd surmise that Lady Hakuno has gone through some hardships of her own, given that she now has replacement arms during the time she's there in this new Lostbelt." he noted as Jinako paused from what she was doing, looked at him while trying to contemplate what he just said before looking at the latest intel on Hakuno and looked at the girl's arms carefully.
"EEEEEEEEEHHHHHH?! SHE LOST HER ARMS?!" Jinako exclaimed as she realized her friend was right on the money. She hardly noticed thanks to Hakuno's sleeves hiding them well but her hands were indeed metallic prosthetics.
It didn't make any sense at all, her husband Gilgamesh would watch her back like a hawk when they married and she became Queen Consort to the man. There was no way in hell he'd allow her to suffer such injuries in the first place with how protective he is of her. She almost pitied the fool responsible for those injuries if Jinako wasn't Hakuno's friend. So she'd settle for hating the one for hurting Hakuno instead.
"...We're going deep now Karna. We need to prove ourselves that Chaldea isn't an enemy. Especially since a few troublesome Servants have entered that world already." Jinako swallowed nervously as Karna nodded his head in agreement.
"Lady Hakuno is reasonable, but we need to nip the bud of the main problem out of the Servants. Douman." Karna said the name with a tone of mild dislike, which is rare for the nice guy himself. Needless to say, Jinako agreed to that statement. Ashiya Douman was every reason Chaldea would fear could cause relations with the Sovereign of the Moon to sour drastically. Especially one who was the daughter of Morgan le Fey and had her terrifying power and potential as a mage and witch with some Cypher power on the side.
Jinako was hoping that by seeing her again, Hakuno would lighten up and be a bit more friendlier with Chaldea. After all, while they weren't exactly the closest to be considered BFFs, they were still friends and friends do try to help each other out after all.
While those two were mulling over their situation, Ritsuka Fujimaru herself was busy preparing for her own situation. They had detected a Beast signal from Koyanskaya as she fled the British Lostbelt and now Chaldea was in hot pursuit of the vixen. They needed to put her down before she became a more imminent threat than what they faced before. All while the Alien God prepared to investigate the unusual Lostbelt herself in curiosity.
Needless to say, Hakuno's going to be having one bizarre adventure after this war. To which the Gardener and Winnower began exchanging bets on how good or bad the situation will turn out as they continue to observe the countless Multiverses they've nurtured in the Infinite Forest.
