Cooling Time with a Spark
Sin is feeling bored out of his mind in his class today like most students would even though he is trying his best not to look like it so he wouldn't get scolded by Sol, knowing the kind of punishment he'll give if he catches Sin slacking off. He just wishes for a little more excitement than the Gear training though he is still worry about the danger like facing that Zato he fought sometime ago, wondering where he is right now.
Then the bell rings for the end of the class.
"Man, it's like whenever Sol-Sensei talks there's a scary feeling that I'm being burned alive." Elphelt commented.
"Tell me about it, but deep down he's a big softy. He just doesn't like to show it on the outside." Sin chuckled.
"The only time Uncle Sol can calm and less scary is with my parents or a few friends, dad told me that he is just being cautious and all." Sin explained.
"Interesting, I am curious of what Sol-sensei's face would be like with an actual gentle smile." Ramlethal tried to imagine that in her head.
"I actually seen him smile only a few times in my life though I think it was a little creepy the first time." Sin mentioned.
"Dude, you're saying the Sol-Sensei actually smiles?" Sin's friend, Naruto, asked shock.
"Yeah, but I can't exactly remember what his smile is like since he rarely does that." Sin tried to recall.
"Damn, Sol-Sensei smiling is way to wide for me, but I guess it wouldn't hurt seeing him actually smiling once and a while." Naruto said.
"Oh, maybe if we did something funny like a joke that would make him laugh." Elphelt suggested.
"I doubt that would work." Ramlethal denied.
"She's right, I already tried some jokes even on April Fool's Day, but the guy wouldn't crack out a little laugh." Sin explained.
"Really? This is going to be tricker than I thought." Elphelt said.
"I think you would only be wasting your time, trying to get him to smile would only piss him off and you all know what would happen if he got angry." Sin reminded them as they feel scared from their spines.
"Oh yeah, I don't want to suffer through that." Naruto scared.
"Me too!" Elphelt quickly agreed as Remlelthal quietly agrees too.
"Well, at least I won't have to worry about that for long since summer vacation is coming in two months." Naruto pointed out.
"Oh yeah, summer vacation. Got any plans this year?" Sin asked.
"Nothing decided yet, but me and my family are planning on visiting my grandparents at the countryside." Naruto shrugged.
"Nothing big for me either, hopefully something fun would happen." Sin smiled.
(Later, P.E. Class)
"Okay, make sure you do some stretches before jumping into the water everyone. I don't want to see anyone getting muscle strains and drowning." Sol yelled at the students as they are taking swimming lessons in gym class today.
Sin and the boys standing on one side of the pool are doing their stretches while the girls are getting themselves ready too while chatting to each other, of course most of the boys are staring at the girls in their school swimsuits and spotted several being tight on their bodies like Elphelt. The white-haired girl is stretching herself backward a bit causing her breasts to bounce a little making the boys feel arouse right now, but for Sin, he is controlling himself better though couldn't help but think Elphelt is cute like that and Ramlethal too.
"Oh my, I think Sin is looking at me this way. I feel so embarrass." Elphelt blushed smiling.
"Some of the boys are giving us such odd stares. I find it annoying." Ramlethal said though didn't really mind that Sin would be looking at her too for some reason.
"I'm sure it's fine, the boys wouldn't do anything to us during class." Elphelt assured.
"(Although, I wouldn't mind if Sin did something to me while at the pool.)" Elphelt thought smiled.
"We're gonna be doing some swimming drills. When I call out your name, come forth and get ready to dive in." Sol instructed.
First came Elphelt and another female classmate as they ready themselves as they ready themselves on the blocks at the edge of the pool, Sol blew the whistle, and the girls went into the water swimming straight forward to the other side. Elphelt gave her very best to swim fast while some of her classmates including Sin cheers for them, but then something grabs Elphelt by the ankle pulling her down a bit as she was surprise and quickly swam back up to the surface.
"Hey Elphelt, quick spacing out and get going!" Sol shouted.
That made Elphelt realize she is still in class and swims quickly to the other side touching the edge seconds later after the other female classmate made it first.
"Elphelt, you were doing pretty well in the first-half, but you lost the focus for a moment. Try to keep your head on goal and you might do better next time." Sol advised.
"Understand, Sensei." Elphelt nodded and was offer a helping hand by Ramlethal.
"Are you alright, sister?" Ramlethal asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay." Elphelt answered as she takes her sister's hand and got out of the pool.
"Are you sure nothing happened, it almost looked like you were forced down." Ramlethal noticed.
"To be honest, I'm not entirely sure what just happened. It was almost like something grab by ankle and pulled me down." Elphelt puzzled.
"Is that so?" Ramlethal looked down at the pool trying to see if she can spot something in the water but couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
"There doesn't appear to be anything down there, nothing but water." Ramlethal said.
"That's so weird, I could have sworn I felt something in the pool." Elphelt puzzled.
"Hey, you doing okay, Elphelt?" Sin asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little pool problem." Elphelt answered.
Meanwhile, Sol is looking at Elphelt and the pool as he did notices something odd like what happened with Elphelt though pretended not to notice. He knew exactly what happened and knew what he had to do, and it was going to be a pain in the ass to him.
"Looks like I'm gonna be working late tonight." Sol stretched his neck.
(Later, Last Period)
The final school bell rang, and Sin is saying goodbye to Naruto before packing up his school bag to go home, then he notices Elphelt and Ramlethal standing next to him with the bowtie wearing girl looking at him with concern and worry in her eyes.
"Huh, is there something wrong, Elphelt?" Sin asked.
"I hope this doesn't sound weird or anything, but can you come with us to the school pool really quick?" Elphelt asked.
"Huh, the school pool? Do you want to get some late-night swimming or something?" Sin puzzled.
"She is still thinking about what happened during her swimming session." Ramlethal mentioned.
"You mean when you slipped?" Sin still confused.
"That just it, no matter how much I think about it, I just can't forget about what happened, that there was something definitely in there that grabbed my leg." Elphelt stated.
"Really, was it a Gear?" Sin asked worry.
"I don't know, it could have been a Gear that can hide underwater which is probably why Ram couldn't see it." Elphelt guessed.
"I also couldn't sense it either, so it might be hiding its magic power." Ramlethal added.
Sin took a moment of think about this carefully and his instincts are telling him that maybe she could be right about a Gear in the pool, and that's got him worry about if it might hurt some other students too. That would spell problem for everyone and he can't let that happen, not on his watch.
"Okay, let's go check out the pool." Sin said.
"Really? Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Elphelt hugged Sin with her breasts press against his chest that causes him to blush hard.
"S-S-S-Sure, that's what I'm here for." Sin chuckled embarrass.
Ramlethal look at the scene and look down at her own chest rubbing them a little wonder if they could grow bigger.
(School Pool)
Sin is looking through the slightly open door to the school pool checking to see if there is anything there late for some swimming, he saw that everything is clear and alerted the girls as they walk outside.
"Good thing I heard that the swim team are having a day off today, so we should be good here." Sin mentioned.
"Okay, now how exactly are we going to find the mysterious creature from within the school pool?" Elphelt asked.
"Perhaps we can lure it out the same way from before." Ramlethal suggested.
"What do you mean by that?" Sin asked.
"Elphelt must go swimming in the pool." Ramlethal revealed her plan bluntly.
"Seriously? But I don't feel like taking another shower today." Elphelt winced a bit.
"Isn't there something else we can do like… fish it out?" Sin suggested though the girls gave him deadpan faces.
"Come on, it's not like you two got any better ideas!' Sin pointed out.
"I guess we have no choice but to go along with Ram's idea, I just hope we can find this Gear quickly." Elphelt prayed.
"Better change into your swimsuit quickly." Ramlethal said.
A few minutes later, Elphelt out wearing her school swimsuit and looking a little nervous about going into the pool until she felt a pair of hands on her shoulders and turns, she heads to see Sin right behind her with his warm smile.
"Don't worry, me and Ram are with you ever step of the way. I won't let anything happen to you." Sin promised with a strong look in his eye.
This made Elphelt smiles and lean her head on his chest for a little comfort.
"Thank you, Sin." Elphelt thanked.
"Huh, sure, no problem." Sin said nervously while his cheeks blush a bit.
"Okay, here goes nothing." Elphelt patted her face and Ramlethal came up to her with a piece of rope.
"We will use this rope to pull on you for when the enemy tries to drag you down again." Ramlethal said as she ties one end around her sister's waist.
"Well, that's reassuring." Elphelt commented.
Elphelt step up on the stone and jumps into the pool, she starts swimming around while pretending nothing serious is going to happen while Sin and Ramlethal are on standby to help her, a minute has passed, and nothing seem to happen yet as Elphelt keeps on swimming around.
"(Come on, where are you?)" Elphelt asked before going back up for some air.
"Hmm, maybe it was just my im-AAH!" Elphelt is suddenly pulled down into the water.
"Elphelt?!" Sin and Ramlethal gasped.
Elphelt is holding her breath while struggling to move her leg away from whatever is dragging her down the floor of the pool, but the feeling of her ankle getting squeeze from the grip definitely proves that she was right about something grabbing her leg earlier during class. Then she felt the rope around her waist being pulled by Sin and Ramlethal as they try to pull her out, Elphelt only manage to get her head out of the water though for a few seconds.
"Damn it, we got to do something." Sin grunted.
"Sin! Shock the water!" Elphelt shouted.
"What?!" Sin gasped that Elphelt would suggest a dangerous idea.
"I think she wants you to send you lightning to zap the Gear that is attacking her." Ramlethal understand her sister's plan.
"But… But that's crazy, I don't want to hurt her! There's got to be a better way!" Sin refused to use his lightning power to hurt Elphelt.
"Sin! I'm not worry, I trust with all my life, so go ahead!" Elphelt called out.
"Elphelt…" Sin is surprised that she would say those things with trust in her eyes and her words were convincing, but Sin still hesitates to use his lightning.
"Sin, if nothing is done here than we are going to lose Elphelt. She is the only family I have left, and I refuse to give up on her too! So, if she says she trust you to be zapped by lightning then do then I trust you too!" Ramlethal said with a serious tone while still pulling on the rope with Sin.
"Damn it, you girls sure are brave." Sin complimented and emitted his black-red lightning from his right hand.
"Okay, time to zap us a Gear!" Sin unleashed a single lightning bolt at the pool while making sure he isn't using too much power.
The electric attack flow through the water zapping Elphelt's arm that was out of the arm at the time for the lightning to connect through her, the attack hurts like shit, but she manages to power through the pain to see the enemy starting to appear in her sight and a tentacle on her ankle began to let go. With that, she swam back up and waving her arms at Sin telling him to stop which he quickly did.
Sin and Ramlethal quickly pulls Elphelt to the edge as she back on the solid ground and Sin suddenly hugs her.
"That was the craziest thing you have ever put me through! Don't ever worry me like that ever again!" Sin cried a little.
"Yeah, I promise." Elphelt nodded.
Then something pops out of the water revealing itself to be a humanoid fish man with six tentacles on its back, lizard arms with sharp claws, and sharp-looking fin like a shark.
"Whoa, there really was a Gear down there!" Sin shocked.
"It would seem you were "right on the money" as they say." Ramlethal commented.
"Damn it, and I was hoping to enjoy my dinner too." The fishman Gear angered.
"Okay, buddy, what the hell are you doing in our school pool and why were you trying to hurt Elphelt?" Sin demanded.
"I was just trying to find a hiding place from the hunters that have been following me in town. Luckily, I was able to lose them in this school and hide in the pool, but I was also very hungry that I hadn't eaten anything in two weeks. Good thing this place is a school." The fishman Gear smirked evilly.
"Seriously, you did all of that just to eat?! That's the most fucking, stupidest thing I have ever heard!" Sin shouted in rage and shot another lightning bolt, but the Fishman Gear was able to block it with the water.
"You may have caught me off guard with that power, but I won't be taken down so easily!" The fishman Gear commanded the water to move wildly and trap the three into tentacles made of water.
"I'm also very surprise of seeing other Gears like myself here, must be the stupid ones wanting to live in peace with humans." The fishman Gear mocked.
"Umm, I wonder if I should you first since you interrupted my dinner." The fishman Gear glared at Sin who glares back at him.
"Or… maybe I should eat the girl to make you suffer." The fishman Gear smiled leaning a little closer to Elphelt.
"Don't even think about… hurting my Elphelt!" Sin screamed releasing his lightning aura that zapped the water tentacle on him and break free.
However, his freedom was short-live when the fishman Gear slammed his hands right on Sin pinning him to the ground.
"Guess I'll be eating you first after all." The fishman Gear licked his lips.
"I think there has been a slight change of plan on the menu tonight." Sol said appearing at the pool.
"Uncle Sol!" Sin surprised.
"He's here?" Elphelt surprised.
"He must have come to investigate the pool as well." Ramlethal guessed.
"I already about this fucker being here when it looked like Elphelt messed up during the swimming class, I planned on handling this myself until I spotted you kids already getting him to come out. Your approach was risky, but admirable none the less." Sol explained and comment.
"It doesn't matter if another has come. You will all die by me!" The fishman Gear proclaimed as he charges at Sol.
"Bad move there." Sol swinged his fist and unleashed a powerful fire-energy wave that completely disintegrated the fishy Gear in one shot. This causes the water tentacles to disappear dropping Elphelt and Ramlethal.
"Okay, that was pretty OP." Sin shocked.
"Okay, now we can go home." Sol walked away.
Sin, Elphelt, and Ramlethal stare at the pool seeing there is not a single trace of the fishman Gear left from that attack as they began to ask themselves the same question.
"(Just how strong is he?)" They mentally asked worry.

Sin and the girls were almost fish food if Sol hadn't saved the day and showing off his power as well, perhaps this experience will get them to take their training more seriously if they wish to face strong Gears in the future.
