Getting that Lovely Hairy Feeling
The scene shows of a dark alleyway and it time is about 12:49 am, close to being 1am as most would be sleeping or doing something some very late outing like on a job or something.
"AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH?!"
"GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM US, BITCH!"
The sudden sounds of screaming men are coming from deeper into the alleyway along with some gunshots, meaning there is a fight going on though it sounds more like it's one sided and the ones with the guns aren't the ones winning either.
Flashes of light from the almost broken lamp on the side of a wall shows a few silhouettes of men running and shooting while being pursued by what appears to be a shadowy figure of a woman walking after them.
The woman threw her head forward with her hair going forward and extending long in front of the shadow and wrapping onto the gun and crushing it from the hands of a man and thin needle-like projectiles were launched to attack the other two men.
The two men tried their best to run away from this crazy situation only to find themselves pin against the brick wall of the needles.
"Shit! We're stuck!" One thug with two gold buck front teeth panicked.
"We have to get out of here before that crazy bitch turn us into a pair of sewed purses!" The other thug freaked out.
"Get back!" The thug with a red baggy hat pulled out a knife.
"I would prefer if you had just answered my question then things wouldn't have gone bad from back there." The woman said.
"And not makes you think we would know any weirdos?" The red baggy hat thug angered.
But then the hair moves faster than the thug could react wrapping around the guy lifting him high into the air, and then she commands her hair to move down fast to slam the thug face-first on the concrete of the street.
"Now, let's try this again and you will talk." The woman said, now revealing to be Millia.
She lifts up the thug with her hair still holding onto him with his nose forehead bleeding from the impact and the knife fell out of his hand.
"So, are you ready to talk now?" Millia asked, the thug slowly nods at the hair monster woman.
"Good, now I am looking for one man and I heard some whispers and words that he came by here and through that bar." Millia held a picture of the man in front of the thug, and this picture is that of Zato.
"Has this man really come by here and where he is now?" Millia asked.
"Yeah, yeah, I've seen him around. Came by for a drink and ask around about something, he then ordered some appetizer and left." The red baggy hat thug explained on what he can recall about this guy.
"What was he asking about?" Millia asked.
"I don't know." The thug shrugged.
"Are you sure you don't remember?" Millia asked, looking a little angrier and having her hair squeeze the thug.
"I-I didn't know at first, but I talk to the bartender, and he told me! You should talk to him!" The thug suggested in fear.
"You know what? I think I will." Millia said before throwing the thug away into a garbage dumpster.
Millia didn't know why that she didn't talk to the bartender first instead of those thugs, but it was because she overheard them talking about a weird guy wearing a skintight black suit and thought they were seeing things like his shadow being alive and all.
But guess she'll take anything as a lead to find Zato and fast.
"(Zato, wherever you are, I hope I can see you soon.)" Millia thought prayed as she walks back into the bar.
"I take it the boys weren't the fun kind you were looking for?" The bartender asked sarcastically.
"I think you know better." Millia said as she sat on a stool chair.
"Just checking, those guys went through a lot after the high school they used to go to was destroyed along with all the precious memories and things they did to leave their mark before graduation." The bartender explained.
"They didn't go to a different school?" Millia asked.
"Too afraid to even get back into education because they fear about ending up going to different schools and wouldn't matter to others about what they do. You know, the old fear of changes." The bartender stated as he rolled his eyes.
"It's never easy to accept at first, that's something I can at least understand." Millia understood this.
"So, did you get what you wanted out of them?" The bartender asked.
"Sort of, one of them mentioned about you and I should come have a talk with his man and it made me realize that you would probably have what I'm seeking." Millia explained.
"Depending on what that is, I may know something." The bartender said.
Millia looks up at the menu of drinks this counter has and settled one drink which the bartender got to work and put the photo on the counter to show the man.
"This man came here not too long ago; did he cause any trouble?" Millia asked.
"From the look in your eyes and how you wanted to know about the guy, I say you have history with this guy. Something personal." The bartender guessed while just about finished making the drink.
"Yeah, personal." Millia sighed, feeling a bit down.
"Yeah, he was here and as for the trouble part, nothing serious except a few stares and insults from the others around with the kind of vibe he gave off." The bartender started explaining.
"Like his shadow was wider to cover this entire bar, I know that feeling all too well." Millia took her drink and one small sip.
"Oh yeah, freaky stuff that got half the boys to feel so scared that they almost piss their pants before they hurried over to the bathroom and in the back." The bartender mentioned.
"Well, you would be surprised of how big he can make his shadows if you have seen the things that most would believe them to be fantasy." Millia said before taking another sip of her drink.
"This is quite the drink." Millia complimented.
"I do my best to calm down the shitholes who come in here, or at least try offering them a little advice." The bartender shrugged.
"So, about what this man wants, Mr…" Millia paused, realizing that she never got the bartender's name.
"Husk, just call me Husk." The bartender revealed his name.
"Husk, what did Zato, the man who came here, wanted from here?" Millia asked.
"I'm not entirely sure what he wanted exactly, all he talked about was how there are actually more people in the world than there should and more that aren't like other people as the shadows have been the home until it starts to be chip away by the light. I'm sure you get what he was going on with all that bullshit." Husk explained.
"I do, actually." Millia nodded before taking another sip.
"Then he asked me about if I notice anything unusual that's been happening in some places lately, I told him that I may have heard some rumors about freaky things." Husk said.
"Like what?" Millia asked.
"Well, there was this silly rumor about some explosions happening and there was this one time a guy told me that he thought he saw a lightning bolt being shot upward to the sky." Husk answered.
"(Lightning, that reminds me of the boy I met a while back and I'm pretty sure he has lightning magic.)" Millia thought remembered meeting that eyepatch boy who fought against Zato.
"I just thought all those things were just fake and all, but…" Husk paused when he was cleaning a glass cup.
"You felt like something was more than what you want to believe." Millia guessed.
"Right on the money, I just have this nagging feeling that something big is coming and it's really bad." Husk sighed.
"Well, it's best to be prepare for the unknown before you may come to regret." Millia said before finishing her drink and paid for the drink.
"One more question: did Zato say where he was going before he left?" Millia asked.
"He didn't much, but he did mention something about meeting a guy who, from what I can tell, seems to be his partner or just someone working with though what's strange is that he called this guy… Bedman." Husk revealed the name.
"Bedman?" Millia confused of the name.
"Don't ask me, that Zato guy was the one who said it. If you want to know more about this guy, then you're gonna have to ask him yourself." Husk said.
"I think I will, and about where he was headed?" Millia asked again.
"Didn't say, but I think he might be heading to the next town over about several miles though he didn't seem to have a car and that was about two days ago." Husk mentioned.
"Zato doesn't stay in one place for long, so I better get there in a hurry if I'm lucky enough to find him still in that town." Millia stood up and walked to the door.
"Are you sure about that?" Husk asked, getting her to stop.
"I can tell that you're really hurt by this Zato guy that you really want to find this guy because you know he's been doing some shit and hope to stop him, because it's also the history you two shared together." Husk stated.
"You make it sound like I'm an open book." Millia commented.
"Only when it involves that Zato guy." Husk shrugged.
Just a little advice before you go. Don't let your emotions get too cloud about just one guy or you might end up hurting yourself more and probably drag other people in that mess." Husk advised.
"I'll take that to heart. Farewell, Husk." Millia walked out of the bar.
Hush looks down at the empty glass cup he just finished cleaning and thought about how that woman will do once she does find this guy, he can only hope that nothing too shitty happens to her.
(With Sin)
"Okay! Time for Sin to have the day all to myself!" Sin excited while walking down the street.
"No training with Uncle Sol today, my parents are busy doing their own thing, and my girlfriends are doing their thing they planned for today which means I got the day all about Sin!" Sin smiled.
Sure, Sin loves everyone around him and would want to spend time with them as much as he could, but there are also times when he wants to do something for himself and have a little alone time when that chance comes which is today.
"Now, what should I do first?" Sin asked himself.
But he gets an idea when he looks at himself in a mirror and sees that his hair might be growing a little too strong though it could be just his imagination.
"Well, better go see if I need a haircut." Sin decided to go visit the barber.
Sin makes his way to the barber wondering if he should get himself a new hairstyle to go with from now on, maybe something a little new but also keeping his own taste in style at the same time.
"WILL YOU GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME?!" Millia shouted as she marched out of the barber shop.
"But miss! Your hair is so gorgeous, so majestic and beautiful that it's like it's alive! I must examine it, let me feel more of that hair!" The barber begged.
"No thanks, I wouldn't trust a hair pervert like you with my hair even if you were the last barber on the planet!" Millia angered and kicked the barber down and back into the shop.
Sin was shocked to see someone getting so angry about someone admiring her hair for being long and beautiful, but there is also something about this woman who look so familiar to him.
"(Weird, have I seen her somewhere before?)" Sin thought asked himself.
Millia notices someone here and having witnessed that little display, this felt a little embarrassing to her.
"Sorry if you had to see that, just had a little unfortunate haircut with the barber." Millia apologized.
"I'll say, but he is right about your hair being so beautiful." Sin complimented.
"Thank you." Millia giggled, stroking her hair a little.
But then Millia gets a good look at the young man, and she instantly recognizes him as the boy from that fight during the night against Zato.
"Oh, I remember you." Millia said.
"You do? We met?" Sin asked surprise.
"Yes, you were fighting that shadow man a few months ago and I stepped in to help." Millia mentioned.
It only took Sin three seconds to process this information and the memories of that night came flooding back to him, and now remembering this woman as well.
"Oh yeah, you saved my ass from that guy!" Sin smiled.
"I'm glad to see you've been doing well since we last saw each other. And from the looks of it, you appear to have gotten stronger too." Millia looked at Sin, walking around him in one lap.
"Thank you for noticing that I have been doing some brutal training from my uncle figure and he doesn't hold anything back." Sin smirked.
"Nice to know." Millia said.
"So, are you here to get a haircut?" Millia asked.
"I was… But I think I'm gonna have to put that on hold for a day consider you just kicked down the barber." Sin answered as he looks back at the barber shop.
"You know there are other barbers in there." Millia pointed out.
"Yeah, but I think the others are feeling a bit scared from your kick." Sin shrugged.
"How about we walk and talk, if that's okay with you." Sin suggested.
Millia knew she has to continue her search for Zato in hoping that she is still in town and get him to talk about his activity, but maybe she could bring this kid along to help since she knows how strong Zato and feared that one-on-one would be too much trouble for her.
"Hey, do you find helping me out? I need to find someone, and I could sure use the extra muscle." Millia requested.
"Sure, I don't have anything else to do right now." Sin nodded.
"(Wait, just like that?)" Millia thought shocked.
"You don't even know who we're looking for." Millia said.
"Doesn't matter to me, really. If someone who needs help with something that could be a good thing or a good reason, then I'm all for it." Sin smiled.
Millia suddenly felt her heart skipped a beat from the kind words, she doesn't know why she is feeling this way.
"Yeah, thank you. Follow me." Millia regained her composure and walked away with Sin following right behind her.
The scene changes to the top of a building where no one is sighted, only a few birds minding their own business until they fly away from the landing of Millia and Sin having arrived on that rooftop.
"So, we're looking for this Zato guy. He must be someone important to you." Sin commented.
"Zato is the shadow man you fought, have you seriously forgotten about that?" Millia asked.
"Sorry, I just wanted to make sure if he is the same guy." Sin said.
"If you're after this guy again, then he must really be someone you two knew each other very well if you're going through the trouble to find him." Sin guessed.
"Maybe, but I'm still shaken up from the things he has done and what he is doing right now." Millia looked up at the sky.
"But still, if there is a chance that he could be stop, maybe he could be my family again." Millia placed a hand on her chest.
"I'm sure there is, and if he tries to walk away then we'll just give him a beating until he starts listening to reason." Sin suggested.
"That seems a little extreme, but I'll take it." Millia shrugged. And then Millia thought about thinking Sin a question about what Husk told her last night.
"Sin, have you ever heard of someone called the Bedman?" Millia asked.
"Bedman? No, I don't think I have." Sin shook his head.
"It was worth a shot." Millia said before they start running and jumping from rooftop to rooftop to begin their search.
KO a new chapter is done and hope you all enjoy it!
Milla is back in the search for the literal shadow man Zato to probably get some answers out of him, and she stumble upon Sin asking for his help though I get the strangest feeling that their search is going to be close to naptime except the napping will hurt them soon rather than later.
