Walking Dead Wizard
Chapter 108
"We've got a weeks' worth of supplies left," Percy announced grimly, "You can either remain in here and hope for the best…or come with us." gesturing towards Amelia, who had been 'reported' as dead, but the truth was, she had survived the attack by Voldemort. To keep her safe, especially while she recovered, they'd allowed the belief to stand. It had taken Amelia years to recover from her coma. Of all bad luck, she'd emerged just before this madness started.
"Come with you? Going out there is suicide," emphatically pointing towards the door.
"Staying here is too," Percy pointed out calmly, his eyes filled with tired wariness.
"Look we've already been through all this; nobody is going to agree to try and get through that herd." Exclaimed Sally, "We're not going to do it, so what's the point of all this?" gesturing towards Percy's words. They'd done this before, and it always ended up the same, they stayed put.
"Yes, and the other times we've discussed it…we had time to put it off," Amelia declared, standing strong at Percy's side. Being alone since the beginning of the apocalypse they'd grown closer. She'd tried to keep her distance; Percy was only a few years older than her niece after all. "There's no more food, we're each going to starve to death…if we do not try."
"But…we won't be able to get by them…the Floo is locked down…we can't Apparate…how are we going to get out? Even if by some miracle we do, we're in Inferi central, we'll end up in muggle London." Gerard explained patiently, fear in his gaze at the thought of facing those Inferi.
"We fashion weapons with what we can, we know how to destroy them," Percy said, "We take them out one at a time, if we find wand's we take them and we use them if we can. Anything that can be used as a weapon actually."
"With what? Look around you…" this had been their home for a good long while, his back may never recover. He'd been sleeping on the floor for Merlin's sake for what felt like a decade now although he knows that's not how long it had been. It was bare, there was nothing to fashion anything from.
"The cupboards, the shelving we could make makeshift spears?" Emily stated, looking around wondering just how to do that, the floor and walls were smooth, nothing they could actually use to ground down the wood into a spear shape.
The others all startled, pureblood's as they were, they didn't think of such a thing.
"Spears? Would that go through bone?" Amelia asked, surprise still evident in her tone and face.
"If it's sharp enough yes," she said, "Plus, we…can make them long enough that we won't get in touching distance." They'd need to, they had no protection from the Inferi, a single cut and they'd be a walking timebomb. She'd been just a part-time clerk when she began here, she'd been lucky to be pulled aside when a herd came for them.
"Or…we make as much noise as we can…and lead them seven doors down," Percy said, eyes gleaming in satisfaction at having thought of something.
"The veil of Death," Amelia murmured, "It's always got sounds coming from it…if we could amplify that…they'd go through it." nobody had played about with that veil though, it could prove to be very dangerous. "I'm not sure if we should play about with it."
"The whispers echo in the room, it should be enough to draw them in…" she continued thoughtfully.
"But if they don't go for it…one of us will be stuck in that chamber with only the choice of going through the veil or being eaten by Inferi." Gerard said, pale and clammy.
"Yeah, that would be the downside," Percy agreed grimly, "But if we don't do something…"
"We're all going to turn into Inferi, yeah," Gerard said, swallowing thickly, "So…we're really going to do this then?" were they actually really going to attempt this?
"It's a now or never situation," Percy admitted, part of him didn't want to, none of them probably wholeheartedly wanted to leave the safety of the room. Unfortunately, they didn't have a choice now. "We were really lucky, when I pulled us all down this way, I had no idea the cafeteria food was kept down here." They were all just trying to find a secure place away from the Inferi.
"Can you work with what you've got to make spears?" Amelia asked, she knew what a spear was…but wouldn't know what to do without the aid of her wand.
"I don't know, I'd need to see what I can do, if you've got something with a rough edge to sand it down then by all means…" Emily told them, as she stood, licking her lips, "We really have to do this don't we?" despite being stuck down here, their thirst to survive hadn't changed at all. the broken pieces of her wand still in her pocket, she grieved its loss every night.
"Rough edges…" Gerard sighed as he stood, well, it looks as if he and the rest would die soon. "What about the metal piping? Would that need sanded?"
"You'd need something a hell of a lot stronger than a human hand to sand down metal." Emily told him, she'd been seventeen when the apocalypse started, just starting her first job at the Ministry…and she had no idea whether her family was safe. Swallowing back the fear that was ever present, she calmed herself, as she set her mind to task.
It was easier to do such mindless tasks, kept her sane, kept her going…now weapons, they needed weapons. The others had felt so helpless without their wands, but she'd never relied on it the same way, she was a Muggle born, and had survived the horror of the last year of Voldemort's final reign.
It's too bad nobody could do any sort of magic…it would make things significantly easier…what if all of them combined their magic together? She thought, surely between them all they could make a few tips for the spears? It couldn't hurt to try at any rate.
The moment they appeared at P.A they found that everyone was just as busy as they were. Either going about their day with chores or waiting outside the Doctor's surgery presumably after having escorted those that were conscious there. Even a simpleton knew they needed to be checked over.
"No," Daryl said firmly, preventing Harry from making a beeline for the Doctor surgery. He knew his partner well, and he wasn't about to let him exhaust himself by planting himself at their side. "You're going home, the others can tell you what's happening when they have a chance." Putting his foot down.
"Daryl's right, you need to go home and rest," Luna nodded, agreeing emphatically with the hunter. "I'll bring you regular updates, and you can talk to them when they're up for it. I wouldn't be surprised if they're out of it for days."
"I'm not an invalid!" Harry said offended, grumbling indecipherably as Daryl kept a grip of his shoulder, stopping him from going to see the newcomers.
"No, you're pregnant and just used a lot of magic," Luna declared, barely refraining from scolding him. She knew why he'd done it, understood even, it didn't make what happened any less. "Go, rest up, I mean it."
"She's right Harry, you have more than just you to take care of," Hermione said, her concern obvious. She knew how stubborn her best friend could be. She was forgetting he had changed in the time they'd been together.
Merle watched the scene with amused eyes, Harry was pouting like a child.
"Fine," Harry grumbled, disliking their ganging up on him. He wasn't angry, wasn't even annoyed really, he knew why they were doing it and had every intention of seeing it through.
Merle snorted, his smirk becoming more pronounced.
Harry pursed his lips, "I'll get you with a stinging hex when I can," he threatened Merle, "Better watch out, better not lax…cus I'll come for you eventually…"
Merle laughed, "Go home," but he made a mental note to watch his back when Harry gave birth. Harry well and truly liked to keep his word…he wondered if the necklace worked on small stinging hexes? Which by the way actually freaking hurt. Harry didn't often use magic on them, not believing he had the right, but he'd done it when he'd particularly pissed him off, Luna had taken it off a few seconds later.
"I'll bring you something to watch from the library," Luna said, it would hopefully distract both of them. "And a few things to read."
Their library was filled to the brim of not only books (even books that had been in the individual homes) but DVD's as well. Most of the homes had TV's and DVD players, even if only in the bedrooms. They were only allowed two and a half hours in each property of TV time, which for the most part was used in the makeshift cinema they had, for the children at the weekend. The TV didn't broadcast anything, so the only viewing they had was older material. Anything that was taken out was written down, most of it was how to material really.
"Guess you won't be seeing the scans then," Harry teased her, showing them off before grinning as he walked towards his home. "You best let everyone know what's happening!" he called back, glancing he laughed in amusement at the pout she now wore.
Daryl himself was sniggering as they made their way home. He knew they'd be by within an hour or so. Not only to give Harry an update but with demands to see the scan results. He doubted Merle had much interest, but he'd come all the same.
"They look like they've came directly from concentration camps…what exactly has happened to them?" Andrea asked, her tone grim. "I doubt it's just the inability to get food…they look like they've gone a round or two with Lyell." The kids thankfully didn't have too many visible bruises but she had no idea of underneath their clothes.
Nobody got the reference, but a few correctly assumed he was a boxer of some sort.
"Excuse me," Hermione murmured, slipping away from the group, she was by no means an expert, but she could help Severus and Hershel with anything they might need to help.
"They're from Oceanside," Luna explained, eyes shadowed, "They were locked up, for having magic. Some didn't though, but I think they fought for the children…to keep them safe and were deemed a threat as well. Some of them managed to keep their magic under control." She didn't understand why they hadn't fled; she certainly would have but most of them were just children. So young, so vulnerable she was glad they'd gone…and she'd been observing them for a month and hadn't noticed anyone going down with food to indicate anyone was stuck down there.
"They knew we were comin'," Merle grunted, "You must have been seen." They'd been going for a month without trouble, it was no coincidence they cottoned on when the others went to observe the magical kids.
"We were invisible the entire time, we couldn't have been…" Blaise refuted that statement.
"Did you make sure you weren't leaving footprints behind?" Luna asked.
Blaise paused, before closing his eyes, "No," he admitted sheepishly. They'd been on the sand, in the mud, in the grass…no wonder they'd been on guard.
"Then I reckon that's how they figured it out, I'd feel bad for scaring them if they hadn't done what they did…" Luna trailed off.
"How many were killed?" Andrea asked, staring expectantly.
"Six in total," Merle replied, four more were killed after Harry and Marcus dealt with the first two. There group had been significantly reduced, fourteen people had been rescued, six dead. Only forty of them were left, the only thing that left a bitter taste in his mouth is that they'd never know why it happened. Magic had been wiped from their minds entirely, which he definitely approved of. "Now they're down to forty," which made them one of the smallest groups they'd had to deal with to date.
Andrea nodded, "Anything else everyone will need to know?" she would deal with everyone else being informed so that they didn't bombard everyone with questions. Especially seeing that Hershel probably won't be at lunch or dinner.
"Nothing I can think of," Luna said thoughtfully, "Their minds have been wiped, they won't recall any magic."
Andrea nodded, "I'll inform everyone at lunch we have newcomers," she doubted they'd be up and about anytime soon. "Want to me get Lily?" she was a nurse she'd be able to help.
"There's no rush, she and Bob might be asked to take over from Hershel and Sev to let them sleep tonight." Luna declared, "So suggest she get some rest while they can." They would definitely need round the clock care. "And Mira." Who was used to potions and would be able to give them what they need.
"I'll let them know," Andrea agreed, glancing at the building again, her eyes shadowed, when she'd seen the children and how thin and scared, they were it broke her heart. Her only consolation was…they wouldn't be for long, oh, no, they'd be whole, healthy and strong if they had anything to say about it. "Will they survive?" she'd seen just how miraculous potions could be…but as Harry had so zealously drummed into them…magic wasn't a know all cure all, there were limits to what they could do.
"At this point I've no clue, I haven't seen them myself," Luna told her, she'd seen Lavenders reaction…it probably wouldn't be pretty at all. "Some definitely will…" they were walking after all, so they had the biggest chance. Those who had been kept below with little to no food and drink? It would be touch and go for them.
"Let's hope for the rest of the Oceanside's people…they do," Andrea said seriously, "Because if they don't…Harry won't let them survive." He abhorred child abuse, especially for the simple reason of having magic. They knew why and found themselves just as disgusted by it. The worst of it was, she wasn't sure whether she was exaggerating or not.
Merle just smirked, it would be divine retribution in his view, although, he wouldn't have just killed them. He would have given them a taste of their own medicine. Left them to die like Carols husband, but he was a vindictive bastard and made no bones about it.
"Hold your breath if you go in," Andrea added, "They look and smell like they've been living in their own…filth." She'd held her breath quite a lot, it was awful.
Merle grimaced, "Probably have," he told her, rubbing his growing beard, he was growing too old for this shit, even if part of him still enjoyed it. Who the fuck wanted to bring a kid into this fucked up world? Then again…he knew it had just been as fucked up when they all pretended to be a civilised society. Ain't anything really changed, except now nobody feared retribution for their actions and had all turned a bit more savage.
Survival of the fittest, hadn't been more prominent.
"Thanks for the help guys," Luna said, to the silent wizards, who looked content to watch the interactions without including themselves.
"We're going to head to the house, check the book again," Marcus decided, "Probably head out as well,"
"Sure, the more we can save the better," Luna agreed, "Remember to spell your feet."
Blaise flushed darkly, "Yeah, we won't be making that mistake again." If they had come unprepared…they would have all died, if they hadn't been warned. It was a terrifying prospect, so they would make sure to leave no sign of their presence again.
Luna laughed, "We've all made that mistake," reassuring them, it wasn't something they'd had to worry about or think about worrying about.
"Luna! Luna!" Lori and Bob themselves were bolting towards the group at full speed.
The rest of the wizards stopped for a few seconds, but Luna just waved her hand. Telling them they can just go; it would be a few moments before they reached the now smaller group.
"What's going on?" Luna asked, their faces made her wonder, they didn't look scared per se they just looked sort of befuddled.
"There are wizards flying around outside," Lori said as she came to a halt beside them, Bob skidding a little as he followed, nodding in agreement.
"What?" Luna replied, taking aback, "Why would they need to be flying about? They've got the cupboard…its obviously not them…then who? This place can't be seen…" genuinely confused as them.
"Exactly out thoughts, they're calling for Harry…I mean I swear I heard his name." Bob said, "I can't be one hundred percent sure…but I swear it sounded like Harry to me." They were too far away to be sure.
"They sounded desperate," Bob added after gathering his breath.
Luna glanced at Merle, at a loss, they couldn't perceive P.A. Who else could know about them and where they were?
"What about the galleon thingy?" Merle asked, "Harry put the coordinates down, for the prison when he was there…did he do the same here?" recalling the gold coins that had last actually been seen while they were at the Greene Farm. Daryl had mentioned it when they got to the prison, just in case any wizards or witches came by.
"He did?" Luna asked in surprise, "Then that means…" it has to be an Order member…but why come all the way this way? They would have been better off and quicker going to Hogwarts…depending on where they were…unless, they actually had, and the wards had rejected them before they got everything fixed…bloody hell, "Let's go," grasping a hold of Merle she apparated them away.
"Little more warning, woman," Merle grumbled, as he jerked on his feet in the middle of the street. Which was clear of anything, including walkers, which were rounded up, killed and fed to the animals instead of being set alight like they used to. Every day straggling walkers were rounded up.
Luna looked up, before letting off blasts with her wand, "It's Bill and Fleur!" she declared, the distinctive red and white hair was obvious even from the air. The others with them…she didn't know, "Bloody hell, we're not going to be able to keep Harry on his ass now."
"They can come up to the house if you trust em," Merle said, watching them descend with suspicion. He certainly didn't just trust them because they were wizards. He knew they can be just as bad as Harry good. "How many of em are wizards?"
"All of them," Luna declared, "At least the ones riding the broom, there may be some non-magical there." Each of them had at least someone on the back of the broom. She was surprised they had managed to find one let alone so many…they must have had them in the beginning or been lucky enough to find a magical district.
"Luna!" Bill said, staggering off the broom, and hugging her tightly, tears entering his eyes, the first familiar face he'd seen in so long. "Harry? Do you know anything?" not holding out much hope that she knew anything…they were all separate, she was in America for Merlin's sake. Shivering as he kept her close, terrified she'd disappear, be a figment of his imagination.
"Merlin, Bill you're freezing!" Luna exclaimed, he was like an ice block, "How long have you been riding?"
"Couldn't find anywhere to stop," Bill admitted, Merlin she was so warm, but judging by the growling coming from beside her…he reckoned he'd pissed off her partner. "For the past day or so." Literally nothing until the found this area suspiciously free of inferi and entirely absent of people and also within the coordinates they'd been given so long ago. Which by the way wasn't as easy as tracking someone with magic. Not that he had the means to do that, his wand…had been destroyed during a scuffle with a herd they had no idea was on the rooftop way back when.
"Some first impression," Bill said his voice croaky, reluctantly withdrawing, "Bill Weasley, Luna and I used to be neighbours, although I knew her mum better." He told the man standing beside her, giving a nod, not attempting to shake hands. Wizards didn't tend to do that. Trying to make it clear without coming out and just saying it that he saw her as a kid.
Luna laughed, "First impressions? Merle doesn't do well with them either." Eyes gleaming with merriment, staring at her fiancé fondly.
Merle shrugged his shoulders unrepentantly. Restraining himself from wrapping his arms possessively around Luna. Seeing the curious look on the groups faces. There was suspicion staring at him right back, cautious and a little hope even if they didn't believe anything will come of it.
Luna rummaged around in her pocket, before coming out with a pad of paper and pen with a triumphant sound. Scribbling the 'secret' onto the paper, she handed it to Bill, who had a good idea what she was doing.
Merle got to watch the looks on their faces as they spotted P.A in all it's glory for the first time. That hope they felt? Spread like wild fire, as they gazed in wonder. They'd lost so many people, saw so much destruction and desolation on their way here…it was hardly surprising that this piece of heaven was awe-inspiring.
"Come on, let's get you inside," Luna said, gesturing for them all to come with a small welcoming smile. "Do they all speak English?"
Bill gave her an odd look but spoke, "Yeah, they do." Five were French with impeccable English and a few had been rescued in America and were American. "I guess introductions are in order…"
"Not right now, come on…I guess you guys will want a shower? And something to eat?" Luna questioned.
"Honestly? I'd rather just something to eat," confessed Fleur, even with a scarf and jacket on she was clearly shivering in cold.
"The swimming pool showers?" Merle suggested, well aware that they had been affixed rune gems and were now warm water and with glass partitions, they hadn't been there, but Luna had added them for privacy if you wanted it.
"The showers have hot water," Luna told the group, "I'll bring you all some brand-new clothes, while Carol cooks something for you, I'm sure coffee will be a given too. Then after that your next port of call is to see Harry, traditionally it's not how it works, you're usually questioned first but since Bill trusts you…he'll be responsible for all of you right now." Luna gave Bill a look that suggested he had better trust them with their lives.
"There are only a few wizards and witches here, the rest are all Mundane," Luna continued, "Once it's confirmed you have no bad intentions, we'll see about getting you fitted for a wand." If any of the wands actually accepted them that was, there was no guarantee.
"Veritaserum or Legillimency?" one asked out of curiosity, approval clear on their face, a little hint of their French accent lingering despite the time spent elsewhere. If they were all given the same measures it meant this place was really truly safe.
"Legillimency," Luna confirmed with a nod of her head, Merlin, two sudden influxes in a single day…she was glad it didn't happen ever day. At least the others were confined to the Doctor Surgery for the next few days before being introduced. It would give this group time to settle in a little.
These people wouldn't have faced the same horror as the children had – which is also good.
"Sounds good," one of the people murmured, just as appreciative as the others.
"Shower?" Fleur asked, so hopeful that it was almost heart-breaking.
"Merle, would you go…" Luna asked, but Merle finished her sentence.
"The trunk? Yeah, I'll tell Carol to make food enough for more people. Meet you at the leisure centre?" Merle asked, glancing at them, warning them if they tried anything, he'd tear them to pieces.
"Yeah," Luna said gratefully, kissing him in thanks, which relaxed her fiancé more than anything else thus far. "Come on, follow me,"
"I'd summon it, but it can't be summoned, well, except for Harry," Luna explained, gesturing for the piece of paper, which she then burnt in front of them until there was nothing left of it.
"He doing okay? I wasn't sure who had the Galleon, I thought perhaps it was Hermione that had the master one." Bill said, depression encompassing him, surely Luna would have told him if his family had survived or if she knew anything. "What are you doing in America? What are you and Harry doing here?" he blurted out, "Mum kept me updated…I still have her letters…she kept me up to date about everyone, Harry was still in Britain in her last letter…"
"Easy, Bill, take a breath," Fleur murmured quietly, the rest of the group fanned out, but were listening, as they fiddled with their bag straps nervously. They were looking everywhere looking pretty bloody overwhelmed. It was like a utopia here; one you certainly didn't expect to see amidst an apocalypse. It gave them hope though.
That other sanctuaries had been raised, that more people were surviving than they knew about.
"Is that trees going out that football stadium?" squinting to see properly, it looked very green but they couldn't see without their glasses and they had been destroyed.
"Yeah, fruit trees, the vegetable patch is grown around it, we need a lot of food." Luna said kindly, answering the stranger's question first. "I was at Hogwarts to begin with."
"It's been lost?" Bill asked, swallowing thickly… "We tried to get in, never saw anyone…or anything…it was deserted. Every attempt we made, it pushed us further away and the walkers surrounding it we didn't dare stop."
"That's what happened to Harry," Luna said with sympathy, "The wards went into lockdown. They wouldn't let anyone near, if you had removed every single walker from around – that's what we call the walking dead – it would have opened the wards. It's something they've since figured out; the school has opened up again."
"Everyone survived?" Bill looked relieved, Fleur leaned against him, exhaustion weighing on her.
"Everyone that was at Hogwarts at the time, yes, a lot of people came seeking sanctuary. I was there myself, but the wards were on the fritz, they needed renewed…I was the one that volunteered. Once I was locked out…I went looking for Harry who was here in America." Luna explained, as she walked towards the swimming pool, she could see it now.
"Why? Did he decide to go on holiday?" Bill queried, not that he'd blame him for wanting to. It sounded like he had been at Hogwarts though when it all began.
"When he realized he couldn't get into Hogwarts, he wanted somewhere secure. Potter Manor, well, Potter Abbey as we learned it was called. Unfortunately, or rather fortunately the Portkey malfunctioned. Quite a bit actually, and landed him in the Mundane world far away from Potter Abbey." Luna explained, opening the door, gesturing for them all to go.
"Why fortunately?" Fleur sounded confused.
Luna giggled, "Same reason you might have for working at Gringotts," she teased Fleur who perked up, which made her look a bit livelier.
"He's met someone?" if there was someone who deserved it, then it was Harry. "I can't wait to meet the person who's made Harry happy…he is happy, isn't he?" at least a little…she relished and loved the small intimate moments she got with her Bill.
Luna smiled, "You'll see soon enough," opening yet another door, the swimming pool was full with it's covering over it. "You can pull the partitions back for privacy. There are towels in the lockers the lower ones have child towels in them top one's adults. We only use this row." She said pressing her hand against the set of lockers.
They murmured out their thanks, and gratitude.
"I'll leave some clothes in a box for you in the changing rooms, the family changing rooms one and two over there." Luna said, "One for the women, and two for the men if you don't mind me being there, I can bring in some toiletries for you to use?"
"You still have that sort of stuff?" breathless with wonder.
"I'll slide it by," Luna said, privacy wasn't something they had in spades anymore. Well, it hadn't been until they came here and had their first real bout of privacy since everything started. At this point they were all desensitized to naked bodies and seeing each other, still Luna wanted to give them as much privacy as she could.
Merle joined her there within five minutes, careful with the trunk, aware of its contents and how precious it was. More precious than all the gold, silver and platinum in the land.
It took five more to get everything she thought they'd need, putting the clothes into individual black bags for them. She was guessing their sizes, but she reckoned she had it right. They were left in the locker rooms, she then kept her gaze upwards, and handed over the shower gel and shampoo with the exfoliating scrubber attached.
"Take your time, it won't run out, I'll meet you in the café once you're done." Luna called out loud enough for them to hear. She left them muttering their appreciation for warm water as they sloshed away the dirt, sweat and grime that had built up over time.
"Do you trust em?" Merle asked the moment she returned, a thoughtful look on his face.
"Bill and Fleur definitely, I couldn't say about the others…Harry will deal with it." Luna said, "He's going to be so surprised." Grinning widely.
Merle narrowed his eyes, "He ain't you know…" making a face.
"Bill and Fleur were married when I was sixteen, Harry was seventeen…he considers the Weasleys his family even if he only met Bill like four times if he's lucky before all this and in short intervals. He's not gay, and I don't think I ever saw Harry look at anyone before Daryl, not in that way." Luna reassured him, Harry would never do anything to hurt Daryl, and when Harry loved, he loved wholly and fiercely and would fight to keep what he has. Merle had nothing to worry about with the newcomers. It was natural for Merle to want to protect his brother. "Nor will anyone turn my head." she said leaning against him, nobody better was going to suddenly gain her interest.
"Better not, I'll kill em," Merle declared, both a threat and a warning, and he meant it. With the whole of his being he meant it. If he couldn't have her…nobody else would. He'd kill them. He'd never hurt Luna, but anyone that attempted to pull the moves on her? deserved everything they got. He refused to lose her.
Under normal circumstances such a declaration would be terrifying, but to Luna, it wasn't, she just smiled. Silly Dixons…didn't they know that magical's bonded for life?
Luna and Merle sat talking for over forty-five minutes while the others showered. She could honestly say she wasn't surprised they'd taken their times. Although, when they came through…they looked one hundred percent better.
"Would you look that that, you can see your blonde hair," Luna grinned at Fleur who looked mighty relieved.
"I'm surprised you notice it was me over the dirt and oil clinging to it," Fleur said, she'd been cringing the entire time the shower was running dirty water down the plug. It took a real long time for it to stop. "I often thought about cutting it, just to make it more manageable but…" she shook her head, she couldn't bring herself to do it. She'd been known for her blonde hair, the very same as her mother and grandmothers and their mothers and grandmothers. She hoped to get a wand to remove the excess hair. It normally did not require a shaver since she didn't have one of those…she hoped to find a wand suitable to her…given her unique wand…she wasn't holding out hope.
"What do we do with our old clothes?" one asked.
"Do you want to keep them? If so, they'll go in the washing machine…if you want to dump them…put them in the bin…there are a few around the street…but be warned…don't expect to be able to fish anything out of them, whatever we put in gets banished immediately." Luna said, dethatching herself from Merle, but holding onto his hand, "Come on, let's go see Harry!" then they could see about getting them settled into a property or two.
A/N there we go! Another chapter for you all to enjoy!
