Sometimes doing the right thing is harder than it should be. Damian Hofstadter comes to realize this as his juggling act between protecting an innocent girl and using his knowledge of a future that now will never be finally crash over his head. Story alternating between OC and Taylor as PoV.

Not all is as it seems when a Case 53 cape appears in Brockton Bay. When the truth of her origins are revealed, butterflies happen. Loosely based on the CYOA system but not to any significant degree. Don't expect that to be a reliable compass, since I've cherry-picked things and warped the ideas to better fit with the story. Rated M for a REASON... (It's the Worm-verse, after all).

Panacea!Power!Taylor meets Skitter!Power!Amy on her first night out. They don't quite hit it off, but after a few more encounters they start working together and exploring the power interaction that lurks in the background of their adventures.

Worm is a grimdark superhero universe where anything that can go wrong, will. It's nasty, and would require whole books to adequately describe how screwed up it is. But even appearing there with no powers, it is still possible to fix that mess. So, appear penniless and powerless in that environment.

So what would happen if things went slightly differently?
