Kate picks up a very nice picture of thirty something Rick, with a breathtaking view behind him. A piercing blue sky, with a couple of oddly shaped clouds in it. Some gnarly, but still ever green trees, stretching their large, heavy branches. And, rising above all this - an amazing, ancient-looking castle, with massive stone walls and high spires. A symbol of protection and safety.

Its funny how one incident, or one decision can change the whole path your life was supposed to take, or better yet, kick your life onto the best part ever taken. One shot.

Arriving in San Francisco, Castle and Beckett find themselves assisting in a murder investigation at the request of the SFPD when a body drops outside their hotel. Castle has to step in and take one for the team, but he doesn't seem to mind. This is slightly dark and out of character, but it was a good excuse for a little commanding Castle. AU set during "Cuffed" but they aren't cuffed in this scene.

All this comes to a standstill however when he finds his worlds colliding, with his alter ego called out as a person of interest in a murder investigation.
