Once the markings were now completely glowing, the doors soon open very fast, briefly stopping which surprised them all before they fully open, revealing many statues at the end of the temple inside. They enter it and go down the stairs. "Whoa." Fungus said before he, Plundar, Doug, Snithik and Adam stop. "Such beauty."
"We are looking upon something that few have ever seen." Dragon replied as he, Cole, Maggie, Vania and Korgran keep walking along the temple.
They soon stop before Cole notices the statues and gasped upon looking at the statue in the centre. "Who is it?" Vania asked.
Cole moves closer to the statue as Dragon turned to Vania. "Cole's mother, Lilly." He replied.
"I heard about her." Maggie said. "She was Lou's wife. Her illness was so rare, not even my dad could find out what was going on." Cole stops in front of the statue and kneels down to the inscription in front of it. He touches it, causing his Earth Punch to activate, and the inscription, markings on the statues and walls around the temple start to glow as more torches by the walls soon lit up as Cole turned around to look at the now lit up temple while deactivating his Earth Punch and turns back to his mother's statue.
"Look!" Fungus called out to Maggie, Dragon, Vania and Korgran, who turn to see him, Plundar, Doug, Snithik and Adam looking at something. "Look at this!" He points it out to them, and they see it was a rock golem.
They start to head over to it. "What is it?" Korgran asked.
"A mech." Dragon replied, surprised as he came up behind them. "But unlike any mech I have ever seen. It appears to be made of stone?"
"Or do you think it's more of a golem?" Maggie asked. "As it is made of stone."
"Perhaps the builders of this place used it to build the temple." Fungus replied as Plundar heads over to it.
"Do you think it still works?" Vania asked.
Plundar climbs up the golem mech before getting in the control seat. "There's no controls in this thing." He replied before sitting down. "Just a bunch of weird crystals." He then notices some stuff nearby, and grabs some armour and a shishpar. "And this junk."
Cole was still by the statue of his mother as he looks at the inscription. "'This statue was carved with love and gratitude by Geckle and Munce craftsman.'" He said, reading it before smiling.
"Cole." Dragon called out, making him turn to him as he, Maggie, Vania and Korgran were looking down at a mural in the ground, which started to glow as Cole came over to him.
It showed Lilly, kneeling, Lilly facing a dragon while holding two swords and Lilly surrounded by vortexes. "Whoa." He heads over to the part with Lilly in the vortexes. "I guess she did learn how to do it."
"What's that light shining out of her?" Vania asked.
"Elemental energy." Dragon replied. "Power. The Power of the Earth itself."
Vania soon gasped. "Cole, you have to try it!"
"Me?" Cole asked as he stood up and the mural stops glowing. "I can't. "I don't know how!"
"But you're an Earth Elemental! If you could learn the Spinjitzu Burst, you could use it against my father, and... and free all those poor creatures working in the mines." The others head over to them.
"We don't even know for sure if my mother could do the Burst. What if it was the Blades of Deliverance?"
"But we don't have the blades, Cole." Dragon said. "The Burst is our only chance. You have to try."
Cole sighs as the others back away. "Okay, fine. But I'm not making any promises. Okay, let's get this Spinjitzu Burst started." He throws a couple of punches. "What do I do?"
"You're asking me? I don't know."
"You're the master."
"I know nothing of this kind of Spinjitzu. This is known only to Earth Elementals." Cole turns around to look down at the mural. "You must open your mind. You must discover the truth within you."
Cole kneels down, closes his eyes and brings his hands together as everyone looked on. "Nothing is happen." Korgran said.
"Quiet!" Maggie replied, whispering.
Cole tries to concentrate as he opened one eye to peek at the others. "Do you feel anything?" Dragon asked.
Cole scoffs and opened his eyes. "Nothing." He replied before placing his hands on the mural.
"Still nothing is happen." Korgran said.
Plundar scoffs. "No kidding." He sarcastically replied.
"Do you guys mind?" Cole asked, annoyed. Korgran and Plundar smirk innocently before Maggie smacked the back of their heads, making them flinch in surprise. Cole's Earth Punch soon activates before he started to do Spinjitzu before dispersing and deactivates his Earth Punch. "That wasn't the Burst, was it?"
"No." Dragon replied.
Cole kneels and places his hands on the mural to try again. He groans in anger before looking up at his mother's statue and growls. "Come on, you stupid ****ing mountain!" He raises his hands and looks around. "Do something! Do something!" He bangs his fists on the mural in anger before rumbling was heard. "Was that me?"
"'Whatever it was, it shook the whole mountain.'" Plundar said, translating Snithik's signing.
"Sound like thunder." Korgran replied as Fungus moved up next to Cole.
"I must look into this." He said, taking off his hat, gets out some mushrooms and drops them inside his hat before adding some moss.
"What's he doing?" Maggie asked.
"Fungus magic." Korgran replied.
"He's making the pictures again." Plundar said, rephrasing.
"It is not pictures." Fungus replied, annoyed. "It is far-sight." He turns around to face them. "I have discovered a special concoction of lichen and moss which reveal things that are happening far away." He gets out another bit of moss. "Observe!" He drops the moss into his hat and a blue mist erupts out of it to show Lloyd, Kai, Jay, Zane, Nya, Geoff, Gewuji and Blake running from something.
"Hey!" Cole said.
"It's the other Ninja!" Vania said.
"Geoff!" Maggie said, looking at him.
"Where are they?" Dragon asked. "What's happened to them?"
"Quiet!" Fungus replied, putting his hat back on. "Watch." The mist spreads even more to show them running away from a moving skeleton of a dragon.
"They're in trouble!" Plundar said.
"They fight dragon?" Korgran asked.
"That's no ordinary dragon." Doug replied before noticing Snithik signing.
"'It must be Grief-Bringer.'" Fungus said, also translating the signing.
"Grief-Bringer?" Cole asked. "The dragon from the picture with my mom?" The vision of Grief-Bringer soon breathes out a flame, while the mist fades away at the same time, causing them to gasp. "We have to do something! We have to help!"
"Against something so powerful, only the Spinjitzu Burst can prevail." Dragon said.
"Well, I can't do that!" Cole groans in anger. "Our friends are in trouble, and we're wasting time, stuck here in this... this fucking useless temple!" He growls in anger and walks away.
Everyone started to spread out as Maggie and Vania turn to see Dragon merely pondering. "Master Wu?" Vania asked. "I hope you will forgive me saying this, but instead of standing around doing nothing, maybe you should be helping Cole."
"Excuse me?" He asked, offended.
"Cole needs you. And you're not doing anything to help."
"Cole is no longer a student! He is an accomplished Ninja and an Elemental Master. He has not needed me in a long time."
"That's not how it looks to me." Vania walks away.
"Do you think she is wrong, Magna?"
"You're asking me?" She asked. "Do I think she's wrong? No, I don't!"
"Why?"
"Because, even though you say Cole is no longer a student, you taught me how to unlock my hidden power, and now, I can do this." She notices some nearby weapons and armour close by before her hair turned to silver and rises up. The metal on the weapons and armour start to levitate as Korgran and Plundar were surprised at what was going on before she deactivated her hidden power as her hair turned back to normal and lowers.
"Yes, I gave you some advice."
"That was not advice. You taught me to concentrate and I did. So, whatever funk you are in, snap out of it! Even with my limp, I'm still your student. As is Cole." She turned to see Cole leave the temple. "Now, go out there and don't come back until you bring Cole with you."
"Don't you give me orders!"
"You go out there, right now!" Vania said, moving forward.
Plundar gets out his dice and throws them down to think of what to do before looking at where they stop. "You do as the girls say." He said as Adam then screeched. "Even Adam says so."
"Korgran will nudge old man forward if he has to." Korgran said, raising his axe to his shoulder.
"We would agree as well." Fungus said, moving forward, and speaking for Doug and Snithik, who signs some encouragement, as well.
"8 against 1, Master." Maggie said. "Vote's been decided." Dragon turned to the doors in thought.
Outside the temple, Cole paces around before kicking a stone in anger and sits down, scoffing. The door soon opened and Dragon comes up to him, stopping halfway down the stairs. "On your feet, Cole." He said.
"What's the point?" He asked.
"We have work to do."
"I can't do it, Master Wu." He stands up and turned to him. "I'm not my mother! I can do the Burst. So, unless you know how..."
"I do not."
Cole turns away from him, frowning. "Then we have to find some other way." He sits back down.
Dragon soon sighed. "Vania and Maggie were right."
"Vania and Maggie?"
"I have neglected my duties." He resumes moving down the stairs. "What has been the principle lesson of all my teachings?" He looks at Cole. "I'm waiting."
"Ninja never quit."
"Exactly. Ninja never quit. And from this moment on, neither do masters." Cole smiles at him before Dragon held his hand out and he takes it to stand up. "They would never quit on us and we will never quit on them. Burst or not, we have a ****ing dragon to face!"
