After this mini arc, I'll try focusing more on the League side of the Crossover and drama relating to it.

Currently it feels like a Fate fanfic with using Ezreal as a loose template for the Master. I'm currently considering how I would balance other League characters around the basic plot ideas I have regarding Fate. Since I want to link the two togetger rather than just clear cut one and the other, if that makes sense.

This chapter took a while to slog through since its mostly exposition which I find boring. Sorry.

Also, please bear with me here. I have not read all Fate or League content out there (Stuck in American Singularity), I use my own pwrosnal knowledge and interpretation of a Servent or Champion after reading their wiki. With some exceptions here and there.

Please enjoy the chapter!

"Ughh..."

Ezreal groggily woke up, he felt pain all over, but it was subdued, as if it were morning pains after a particulerly drunk night out.

As he awoke, he subconitously moved his arms to rub his eyes, thats when he realised.

"My left arm..."

He observed his left arm, it was attached and moving, while still kaying down he tested out certain movements like his fingers moving or if his wrist feels weird. Thankfully everything seemed to be in order.

His eyes land towards the near base of his left arm, there he can see the same crude stiches as on his stomach. Jack had saved him again.

A tired smile spreads across his face before he signs and his arm relaxes down onto the floor he is laying on. As his arm novesbout of thr way, he sees the Gauntlet of Ne'zuk next to the blue gem, well, formerly blue gem.

He would focus on that, but more that anything else.

"Jack...you there?" Ezreal groans as he sits up, looking around to spot the white haired Assassin.

Silence.

There is a subtle sound or birds tweeting, leaves and grass rustling in a cool wind. It was a relaxing day, the weather is good. If it was a few weeks earlier, Ezreal would have taken the silence in stride and even enjoy it.

"My shoulders feel lighter..." He mutters as he stares at the stiches on his arm for a few moments before slapping both of his cheeks with his palms "Right, let's do Jack pround. No gloominess here!"

He moves back over to the gauntlet and discoloured gem, now wearing the gauntlet and looking at the gem.

"You had the second best grades at the Academy behind Caitlyn back then. You're smart enough to figure this out, me." Ezreal sits down cross legged and places the gem in front of him as he rummages around in his bag for a notebook "Damn, some of the pages got soaked in blood and dried up, smells a little fresh so at least I don't have to worry about being in a coma while I was unconscious."

Ezreal flips through some of the pages, rhankfully he remembered the content anyway but it was a lot of effort to write a book.

"Ok. Seems like the required page was in tact. Lets figure this out, so Karna said that Servants are fuled by mana, either by the world around them or the Master. This includes their body and forms, even if decapitated if given enough magic can regenerate from those wounds if they cannot do so under their own power already." Ezreal states while flipping through the notebook again and scribbling stuff down on the new page and a quick sketch of the gem placed in front of him.

As he does so, he also takes quick checks over his own personal belongings, a habit he had gained through repeated unforseen mishaps during his adventures in Runeterra.

"That must mean Jack was able to survive her head being..." He trails off for a moment before shaking his head and refocusing, snapping out of his daze before he had flashbacks "And Karna had to be unsummoned after his fight with the other Lancer. Not having to support his existance, I must have gained a bunch of mana which all then went towards Jack at around the same time..."

Ezreal picks up the gem again with his left hand with two fingers and observes it absentmindedly, he was still certainly drained and felt tired despite having no serious injuries anymore, likely due to magic overuse and his body requiring to supply Ezreal's body again.

"Hmm...this thing went gray during the confrontation with Medea. Not only that..." Ezreal coats his eyes with a small amount of magic, activating his typical appraisal and finding little to nothing "Its just a plain old tough crystal, it lost its magical properties somehow. At least this behaviour can help narrow down what to look for in the Demacian libraries later-"

Through the gem, he had suddenly started to see his own reflection, through his analysis, causing him to accidentially view his own status once more.

Name: Ezreal

Parameters-

Strength: F

Endurance: F

Agility: F Plus

Mana: E Plus (Update Complete) D Plus

Luck: C

Noble Phantasm: B-

"Gah, man I really gotta be careful with the eye thing." Ezreal shakes his head and reorientates himself "Though, my mana increased by one rank? Karna and Jack dissapearing for now would only give me back the mana I invested in them in the first place...that means."

Ezreal examines the grey gem again.

"Somehow I must have absorbed the magic that was in this gem..." Ezreal says "Wait, if my magic reserves are better, I should at least try using a more in depth analysis on the thing..."

Ezreal starts to squint his eyes as he examines the gem one more, now in the shade to avoid seeing his reflection.

Goddess Tear (0% filled):

There are many stories surorunding such gems found throughout the world. Some say it is the tears of a goddess that cried when she saw what her creations became. Some say it is her tears as a result for working so hard to create part of the world. What is undeniable however, is that within a Goddess Tear holds an immense amount of magic and empowers the magic of those that wield it. Because of this, the gem has been used in acient forging techniques lost to time to create weapons or armour, or is used as a sort of battery to keep active a device with no one to care for it anymore.

"Wait...huh?! A Goddess Tear, I've only read theories or the rich rich one percent displaying it uselessly." Ezreal's eyes bug out for a little "Right...I guess it makes more sense why my magic parameter went up another rank. Magic is lierlary part of our soul, keeps ups alive...so when I got my arm cleaved off by Caster...like the rest of my body was working overtime to keep me alive. And since I was in possession of the Goddess Tear at the time..."

Ezreal pauses, pocketing the gem and now taking account for his items and things still intact.

"I'll think about of the implications of me absorbing a Goddess Tear fully while apparently ancient blades and magic rituals that last for centuries use to power themselves...later." Ezreal leaves behins a few destroyed things before packing up the useful things into one bag "Ugh...most of it got destroyed in the fight. And if I am in this particular forest that means I am way too far from any village or city to get supplies...I don't particularly feel like hunting all day either, so I should head to the safe house in Terbisia...hope it didn't get raided by other adventurers."

A sigh.

But, Ezreal was still smiling slightly while looking at his leftover two command seals, which he will regain after a certain amount of days anyway.

"Come on Ez, you're the greatest adventurer of all time. This will be a classic adventure just like before I found that Grail. I should avoid using magic so I can get enough strength to summon Jack and Karna again." With a determined expression, Ezreal practically starts running towards where he thinks Terbisia would be.

"Ok...this is new." As Ezreal wanderd through a the forest, on top of avoising most of the magical ceea3tues that would he out to kill him, he kept getting glimpses of very distinct purple flames that keep flowing towards a particular area.

Ezreal recognised it as Morgana's flames, so he weighs his options. One one hand, he had taunted the Veiled Lady a while ago, he had no true reference of her character other than very biased rumours both positive and negative.

Like many others, probably doesn't like Ezreal.

On the other hand, if Morgana sets her sights on him, he quite literally cannot do anything. He saw her statistics, she was on par with Servants, which repeatedly showed how much they outdo Ezreal at every aspect.

So, Ezreal has either the option to go along with the Veiled Lady and play damage control. Or, he can take a gamble and run off, since he does have a few questions.

Why did Morgana not appear before him?

Why was Morgana an urban legend for lifetimes when she clearly could appear whenever she wanted?

Was she trapped, injured?

Was she unable to move and find Ezreal?

Sue him, Ezreal was an adventurer, he had his curiosities. So, that led to his current conclusion. Ezreal decided to meet Morgana, despite knowing it could go very, so very wrong.

He began following the purple flames through the forest, as various trees and shrubbery seem to fade out of existance to reveal a pathway.

Time to meet a true living legend.
