It's been a few days since I first ran into Elecmon and the primary village. Every day, I feel like Whispered hates me more and more. I keep having a dream about Gravimon and the days start to feel longer and more dreadful. I don't know why I even have this stupid fusion loader thingy. I just want to go home. I sit on a log near the edge of a pond and look at the calming waters.
"What's wrong?" I hear a familiar voice. I turn around to see Coronamon and I smile.
"Nothing, just wondering and thinking."
"About what?" He asks. I look at him and sigh. His emerald eyes sparkle and I feel even worse. I don't want to make the little guy sad.
"Shouldn't you be with Whispered?" I ask. Coronamon looks down towards the pond as well. "Do you even like Whispered?" comes out of my mouth before I can think. Coronamon stops and just turns to me.
"Whispered and I have never been separated in this life."
"This life?" I interrupt as my eyes widen. Coronamon sighs again and then giggles.
"Whispered is quite silly sometimes." he giggles again as he gets up. He starts walking away but turns around half way and says "Sometimes you are stuck with people whether you like it or not. But eventually, those people could become one of your favorite people." He giggles one more time before running off. "I gotta go find Whispered! See you later Derin!" His words stick to me as I gaze back at the pond, this time with a smile on my face.
"Being stuck here wasn't great at first, but maybe one day, it will be a favorite memory…" I say cheerfully as I grab A few flat stones and begin skipping them across the water. This time, I have a smile on my face and a new thought process that could get me through some tough times.
As the day turns into evening, I go to join Elecmon at the fire and help him feed the other baby digimon. He tells me stories about how sometimes, digimon will come back after a while and help out and then leave. He tells me some are more memorable than others, but they all go to the same purpose. The other two come back and I am met with the familiar faces of a gleeful smile and a really rude snarl. As Elecmon keeps going on and on, I look over to see Coronamon sitting down with Whispered resting next to him. I smile and soon, I lay down myself to get some rest, Elecmon's stories being a soothing lullaby.
I awaken in the same white void again.
"Okay Gravimon, come out now." This time, there is no image, it's the real deal. I see a thin digimon with ribbon or paper like hands, arms, legs, and feet! His black hair floats and looks absolutely crazy. His armor lacks color and has black belts around his legs and waist.
"Finally!" He says, his pointed elf like ears shooting up. "I was trying to get closer for so long." He chuckles and then gets down on his knees. "Now, Derin, what I want you to do is come and find me. I am trapped in a volcano and I am being guarded." He says. "It is the tallest volcano in the lava part of the digi world. I really need to get out."
"Why?" I ask.
"I'll tell you once you get me, deal?" He puts his giant paper hand out towards me. I shake it and frown.
"Better keep your side of the deal."
"Oh I will, I am a smart man after all. Just do me a favor, Derin."
"What?"
"Don't tell the little kittens that I sent you." he chuckles.
And just like that, I wake up again. As I struggle to sit up, I groan.
"I wonder why that guy needs saving so damn badly…
