'Alyx...Why?'
Those were the last thoughts of Jaune Arc, a huntsman from Remnant who was trapped in a place called the Ever After for many years. It all started when he messed with a fruit that he later learned had the power to turn back time. It was during his time in the Ever After that, he met two fellow lost souls from Remnant by the name of Lewis and Alyx.
Jaune quickly discovered that these two were from a different time period than the one he came from. More importantly, the natural blonde quickly figured out that Alyx was the famous main character from a childhood story he heard as a child called 'The girl who fell through the world.'
If that wasn't strange enough, Jaune quickly figured it out he was one of the main characters of the book by that moniker 'the Rusted Knight.'
Now, the huntsman from Remnant tried his best not to stray from the story, seeing it as the only way for those two to get home. He could not go with them since he was waiting for his friends in the form of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long to appear in the Ever After. And while he tried to remain consistent with a story, Alyx did not make it easy for him.
Unlike her counterpart in the book, she was a selfish girl who had a mean streak of Mile high. She treated the creatures of the ever after like they weren't even important, like they didn't matter to her. She would lie, steel, and trick anything it took to get her way. Her brother Lewis, on the other hand, was the opposite. He was a kind soul who considered the individuals of the Ever After as sentient creatures that had feelings.
Jaune tried to steer Alyx down the right path, but the girl did not make it easy for him. Especially after an encounter with a being called the Herbalist, a centipede like creature who used leaves from the big tree in the middle of the Ever After to cast realistic illusions that show the innermost desires of the individual who is affected. The huntsman did not know what Alyx saw in those visions, but something in her vision caused her to no longer trust him...
That is what led up to this event, where Alyx handed Jaune some food that had been poisoned. The knight, oblivious to what the young girl had put in his food, ate the food before collapsing! Alyx then looked down on him before departing with her brother Lewis, who was none the wiser, and another creature of the Ever After known as the Curious Cat.
"I can't die here...! Team RWBY will arrive in a few years, and I must be here to help them get back to Remnant! Alyx... why did you do this! All I wanted to do was help you and your brother get back home just like they did in the story. I'm not going to die here! I'm going to live and see my friends again!"said Jaune, struggling to get up since the poison was coursing through his body.
He could feel at any moment the poison would overtake him! He knew he needed to do something. Otherwise, he would die there a pathetic nobody who would not be remembered as anything special. He wanted to live to see his friends and family once again! He wanted to live so he could go back to Remnant and finish what he started!
"You poor soul... How you have suffered."said a voice that Jaune did not recognize.
The Rusted Knight managed to muster enough strength to turn to see where the voice was coming from.
It was in that moment that his eyes befell a powerful looking mythical kind of beast.
The beast itself towered over Jaune, standing twice as tall as the man but feeling even greater, as if he was a mere ant and it a human. It stood on four legs, the white of most of its fur accented by dark gray on its lower neck and underside. Three horns adorned its head, two small ones pointing up from the sides and a grand one on the back - or maybe it was more of a mane? Its hooves shone like pure gold, and around its waist was a cross, almost circular in design, shining the same gold as its hooves and adorned with emeralds matching its eyes. It had no mouth Jaune could see, but to her shock, it somehow began to speak directly into his mind.
"You are a creation of those arrogant Brothers. Your soul seeks vengeance for someone you love dearly, but at the same time, you seek to see those who you feel have the power to save the world you came from. Admirable, yet foolish at the same time."said the mysterious being.
"Who...who are...you?"inquired the man in the presence of the Divine.
"I am Arceus, the Original One, the creator of my world. You are Jaune Arc, known under the aliases as vomit boy, dork knight, and the Rusted Knight. Currently, you are incapacitated by a powerful poison that was given to you by someone you thought you could trust."said the being called Arceus.
"Alyx... why did she do this?"inquired Jaune, wondering if this Arceus creature knew the reason.
"Why does anyone with the power of free will do anything? The only one who can give you an answer you will be satisfied if is the girl herself. But now it is not the moment for not. Jaune Arc, I will strike you a deal here and now. I'll heal your body of the poison coursing through it if you do one thing for me. What do you have to say to that?"inquired the original one.
"I can't... my friends... I need to be here when they... eventually get here."said Jaune, knowing he couldn't make a deal without knowing the specifics of said deal.
"Ah yes, the girls that consist of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xiao Long. Team RWBY, a group of huntresses consisting of one descended from the silver eye clan, the granddaughter of Nicholas Schnee, the faunus trying to bridge the gap between the two races, and the girl who had to learn a painful lesson in order to improve."said Arceus, who seems to know a lot about team RWBY.
"How... how do you know all of this?"Jaune couldn't help but inquire.
"I took the liberty of reading your mind in order to find out. Anyway, how about this. I'll make sure to cure you of your poison if you go to my world and fix a little issue I'm having with my children. In exchange, not only cure you of your poison, but I'll also return you to this world when the job is done. That way, you can wait for team RWBY when they eventually get here."said Arceus, thinking it was a good deal for the blonde man in front of him.
"Why... why should I trust you?"Jaune inquired, wondering why he should trust this Arceus creature when everyone he trusted so far has betrayed him one way or another.
"You have no reason to trust me, but I am your only hope as of this moment. I suggest you decide quickly since the poison will kill you in the next couple of minutes unless I intervene."said Arceus, revealing that the blonde man only had a few minutes to make his decision.
Jaune quickly began contemplating everything that happened to him so far. From Ruby's plan to use one of the Rolex to save the citizens of Mantle and Atlas, all the way to him having to do the unthinkable to Penny upon her request. He knew she would have rather been dead than allowing her power to fall in the hands of that witch, but it was still something that he regrets to this very day! He then began remembering his adventures with Lewis and Alyx from all their Adventures until Alyx betrayed him. His mind then wandered all the way to the idea of reuniting with his friends. He knew team RWBY needed to get back to Remnant! He knew they were the best chance of stopping that monster and that witch! He knew that Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang could save the world! He specifically knew also that they were going to need all the help they could get to stop the complete destruction of all sentient life on Remnant. His mind then turned to Pyrrha, the one he lost before he ever had a chance to realize her feelings for him. He knew he needed to avenge her. He knew he needed to help team RWBY. He knew he needed to help save his world! So... with only a few seconds left before the poison would overtake him completely, Jaune Arc gave his answer.
"Deal..."was all the blonde man could muster before he completely fell to the ground.
"Good... Now, let's remove that poison."said Arceus before he unleashed heal pulse on Jaune.
The huntsman could feel his body being healed as the rays of heal pulse removed the poison from his system. He could also feel his body rejuvenating from the damage the poison had already done.
"Now I'll clean you up."said Arceus, who quickly removed the rusted armor from Jaune's body using psychic.
He then gave Jaune new clothing in the form of a yellow button-up shirt, black suit vest that look like it was made of wool, navy blue pants that were tucked into Brown knee-length boots, and what appeared to be a navy blue jacket.
"Now to give you a shave so you can make good first impressions."said Arceus, who uses this power to remove the facial hair on Jaune's face
He then had the man's wolf tail cut before using his great power to neatly comb the hair back in a slick back manner.
"There! Now you are ready to go to my world. I hope you are ready for the world of Pokemon, Jaune Arc. Now go forth and finish your end of the deal, "said Arceus, who created a Golden Portal underneath the man, which quickly enveloped him and absorbed him inside.
Jaune could only look on with determination on his eyes, knowing he was about to experience something he never knew about.
"Oh, before I forget. I'll transfer all the information you need to know on Pokemon into your brain so you are not confused. It will cause you some discomfort, so I apologize in advance."said Arceus before he shot a beam of energy into Jaune's skull.
Jaune, in that moment, could feel all kinds of information on creatures he had never seen before being downloaded into his head. He could feel his entire body in agony, letting out screens reminiscent of being tortured for a few seconds before he passed out from the pain.
It was in that moment that Jaune's whole body went into the Golden Portal, and said portal dissipated a moment later.
"I truly hope you do not disappoint me, Rusted Knight from Remnant."said Arceus before he used his power to teleport to who knows where.
Jaune, on the other hand, fell out of another portal and landed on what appeared to be a pile of sand.
He had no idea at the time, but this action of accepting a deal with Arceus would send him out on adventure that he would never have expected to have happened to him in a million years!
Now, the only question is, will he be able to handle it!
Apologizes for disappearing for a while, but I had private reasons for doing so. I was not at a good place at the time, and I was continuously struggling with something I would not disclose. I hope all of you can forgive me for disappearing without saying so much as a proper goodbye.
With that out of the way, I'm thinking of either going with Hisui or Kalos with this fanfiction story. I'm most likely going to go with Hisui, but what are you guys think?
Now, this will have nothing to do with the story of Pokemon Legends Arceus, but it will be inspired by it.
Jaune's Pokemon will either be...Rowlet?... Oshawott?...Or Cyndaquil?
To make everything fair, I will be making a vote system. Where are you guys who will have to comment in the comments section on which Pokemon you want Jaune Arc to have. I'm pretty sure I know which starter Pokemon is going to win, but I want to make everything fair, so I decided to put this vote system in place.
Now in case anyone was confused, Jaune made a deal with Arceus to save his life, and in doing so, he must now do something for Arceus and return, but the original one didn't reveal what that was. What do you think it is?
I'm sure it's easy for you guys to figure out since you guys are good at finding stuff.

If some of you are wondering why I didn't deage him, it's because I want him to have the maturity and fortitude necessary in order to survive Hisui...or Kalos, but again, I'm most likely going with Hisui.
