"There she goes," Damian said lowly.
"There she goes indeed," Finn said.

Both men were watching the waitress walk away from their table after having taken their orders. Her long, medium brown hair was braided behind her back. They came there more and more often since Damian had developed a crush on her.

"Are you ever gonna ask her out?" Finn asked.
"I don't know," Damian sighed. "She might be having someone waiting for her at home."
"I doubt it with how she always flirts with you," Finn said.
"Maybe she flirts with all her customers to get better tips," Damian said.
"She never flirts with me," Finn said.

Damian frowned at Finn, and Finn grinned in return. Finn wanted nothing more but for Damian to grow a pair and ask her out. Damian clearly liked her and it looked to Finn like she liked Damian too.

"Look, all I'm saying..." Finn started.
"Shut up!" Damian hissed lowly. "She's coming back."

The waitress came back and like many times before, Finn couldn't help but look at her name tag. It said Favour which was a funny name to him. She kept her honey brown eyes more on Damian than Finn while she put down their plates.

"Five fried eggs for you," she set down a plate in front of Finn. "And an omelet deluxe for you, cutie."

Finn grinned across the table at Damian after hearing Favour call him cutie. Damian had some nice, red color in his cheeks all of the sudden.

"Anything else I can help you boys with?" Favour asked.
"Favour, can I ask you a personal question?" Finn asked.

Damian shot Finn a look to make his friend be quiet but Finn ignored Damian on purpose.

"You can ask but I can't guarantee I'll answer," Favour said.
"Do you have a partner?" Finn asked.
"Not these days. It's been a while since anyone was interested," Favour answered.
"A lot of people come through this place everyday. It must happen sometimes that you find a customer interesting," Finn said.

Finn gritted his teeth and killed the sound of pain that threatened to escape him when Damian kicked him under the table. Damian clearly wanted Finn to stop talking but Finn needed to get these answers for his friend.

"We're not allowed to ask out customers," Favour said.
"Really?" Finn asked.
"Why not?" Damian asked.

Favour smiled at Damian and he felt his heart melt.

"Just a rule the boss set," Favour said. "We are allowed to say yes if a customer asks us. At least that's how I interpret the rule since it only says not to ask out customers. I hope that answered the question for you, cutie."

Favour stood there for two seconds in silence and Finn gave Damian a look to try and tell his friend to grab the ball and run with it. Damian smiled back at Favour but didn't say anything.

"I better get back to work. Let me know if you need anything else," Favour said.

Favour turned and walked back towards the counter.

"There she goes," Damian said lowly.

Damian didn't have it in him to hold back the sound of pain when Finn retaliated by kicking him under the table.

"What did you do that for?" Damian asked.
"She was begging you to ask her out," Finn said.
"No, she wasn't. She was explaining the rule," Damian said.
"Her eyes were begging you, Damian. You're either the most oblivious man alive or you're too scared to ask," Finn said.

Damian shrugged and poked his omelet with his fork.

"She was just being friendly," Damian said.
"She called you cutie," Finn said. "She didn't call me anything other than a boy. She wants you, big man. Go ask her out."

Damian looked over at Favour behind the counter. His eyes met hers and both of them smiled at each other.

"Maybe next time," Damian said.
"Are you kidding me?" Finn said.
"It doesn't feel right today. You just asked all these questions and put her on the spot. Maybe I'll go here by myself tomorrow and ask," Damian said.
"I'll believe it when I see it," Finn said.

Finn took a bite of a fried egg and enjoyed the taste.

"They make the best eggs here," Finn said.
"Don't talk with your mouth full," Damian said.
"You don't get to teach me manners when you can't figure out how to ask a woman out," Finn chuckled.
"I said tomorrow," Damian said.
"Sure thing, buddy," Finn said.
"I mean it," Damian said.
"Uh-huh," Finn nodded. "I totally believe you. This time you'll actually do it."

Damian kicked Finn under the table one more time and Finn laughed through the pain.

"You're not gonna do it," Finn said.
"Yes, I am," Damian said. "You just wait. I'll call you first thing tomorrow after it's done."
"I'll be waiting for that phone call," Finn said.

Damian looked over at Favour and watched her walk to a table in the back.

"There she goes," Damian said. "I swear I'll do it tomorrow."
