Aether Paradise and the Mysterious Creature
The Eds, Sarah, Jimmy, and Maxiley are currently onboard a ferry, speeding across the ocean. The Eds had lovesick smiles on their faces from their times with Mallow, Lillie, and Tanya.
"We should be getting close to Aether Paradise soon, everyone." said Faba.
"I wonder what this Aether Paradise place is like." said Edd.
"If it has the word 'paradise' in its name, it must be a nice place." said Maxiley.
"I guess we'll have to wait and see what it's like when we get there." said Edd. Minutes later, they see a large, white structure floating in the middle of the sea.
"There it is, everyone; Aether Paradise." said Faba.
"Cool." said Ed. The ferry enters Aether Paradise through a tunnel below the structure; soon after, the ferry stops at a dock. Everyone soon climbs out of the ferry and climbed up a ladder that goes onto the dock.
"Welcome to Aether Paradise, everyone." said Faba. Everyone looks around, seeing people in white and Pokemon nearby.
"This place looks magnificent." said Edd. They see a man, a Sudowoodo, and a Yungoos being lifted up to the next floor by a triangular lift.
"That is so cool!" said Ed.
"Yes. Aether Paradise is built for the conversation of Pokemon." said Faba. "It has been outfitted with the latest technology for this purpose."
"Remarkable." said Edd.
"For example; Aether Paradise lets out a jamming signal that prevents empty pokeballs from being used, thereby, preventing people from stealing the Pokemon here." said Faba. Curious, Ed pull an empty pokeball out of his backpack and pushes the button, but it doesn't enlarge.
"So fascinating. This place is wonderful." said Edd. Faba leads the group to the triangular lift that was now lowering to the floor they're on. A woman with purple hair, wearing a white and yellow outfit and pink glasses steps out of it and walks to Faba.
"Alola, Branch Chief Faba." said the woman.
"Alola, Wicke." replied Faba. "I have to speak to the president about our conservation efforts on Akala. Would you show these people, and then take them to meet the president as well."
"Certainly, Branch Chief Faba." replied the woman, now identified as Wicke. Faba then walks onto the lift, and it goes up. Wicke looks at the group.
"Alola, everyone." said Wicke.
"Alola." replied the group in unison.
"Let me show you around; the main entrance is up above us." said Wicke. After the lift lowers down to their floor, the group and Wicke climb onto it. Wicke pushes a button, and the lift goes up. Once they reached the next floor, everyone walks off the lift. They see desks near an entrance, as well as people and Pokemon. "If you want your Pokemon treated, you can take them to the desk over there for treatment.
"Yes, ma'am." said Edd. They soon take the lift to the next floor where the group see catwalks that go over an indoor forest.
"Wow!" said Sarah.
"Aether Paradise is a safe haven for all Pokemon." said Wicke. "For this reason, the use of pokeballs is strictly forbidden in the conservation area."
"Very well." said Edd.
"We keep Pokemon that have been targeted by Team Skull here" said Wicke.
"Oh, we know about those jerks." said Eddy.
"Yeah; we always beat them in Pokemon battles." said Sarah.
"It's so nice to hear that there are people who don't approve of Team Skulls actions." said Wicke. "We also try to support Pokemon that need a little extra protection."
"Can this place protect all the Pokemon out there?" asked Maxiley.
"Nature does have its own balance, of course." said Wicke. "It can be difficult how much we humans should try and affect that, can't it?"
"This place is amazing." said Edd.
"Now if you would like to meet President Lusamine, she should be here in the conservation area." said Wicke. Wicke then lets the group explore the conservation area. The group walks throughout the conservation area, admiring the indoor forest, as well as all the Pokemon that were there.
"This place is so cool." said Ed.
"Yes; this is truly a wonderful place." said Edd. "I would love to stay here, but we have our next trials on Ula'ula Island. Perhaps we can stop by here again someday." They continued to explore the area when they see a woman with long blonde hair, wearing a white dress, black and white leggings and boots with green soles on them in front of a Grimer, an Alolan Meowth, and a purple starfishlike Pokemon. Edd takes out the Rotom Dex and points it at the starfishlike Pokemon.
"Starmie, the Mysterious Pokemon and the evolved form of Staryu. It rotates its geometrically shaped body to swim through the water. It always seems to be sending out mysterious radio waves." said the Rotom Dex.
"My sweet Pokemon. I promise I'll keep you safe." said the woman. "I'll protect you with my love." She then sees the group and a surprised look appears on her face. "I don't believe it; you're the Ed trio from the Lily of the Valley conference."
"That's us." replied Eddy.
"Welcome to Aether Paradise. The Aether Foundations own private island." said the woman.
"It's a pleasure to be here." said Edd.
"I'm the president of the foundation, but you can call me Lusamine." said the woman, now identified as Lusamine. "I'm glad to meet you. I can tell you're not the type of people who would never harm Pokemon for their own selfish reasons or for profit."
"The nerve of people." said Edd.
"Yeah; if I want to make profit, I'll just battle trainers for money like any other trainer." said Eddy. Lusamine smiles in response.
"I will be like a mother to all those poor Pokemon and shower them with love, even ones in distant world, far from the Alola region." said Lusamine.
"She's so nice." said Jimmy with admiration in his eyes. The area suddenly begins shaking.
"What's going on?!" asked Edd. A hole suddenly appears in mid-air. "What on Earth is that?" A Pokemon, resembling a jellyfish emerges from the hole and hovers in front of the group and Lusamine. "What is this?" He points the Rotom Dex at the Pokemon.
"Pokemon unknown. No available data." said the Rotom Dex.
"No data?" said Edd. Lusamine walks up to the creature. "Hey, be careful."
"Are you from a distant world?" Lusamine asked the creature.
"Veno...meno." replied the Pokemon.
"I wish we knew what it was saying." said Eddy. The Eds approached the Pokemon. "You think it's friendly?"
"Venomenon!" yelled the Pokemon.
"Well, that doesn't sound friendly." said Eddy. The Pokemon approaches the group. It suddenly begins surrounded by a red aura.
"Are we going to battle it, you guys?" asked Ed.
"I suppose we have to." said Edd. "It might try to harm the Pokemon here."
"Not if we have anything to say about it." said Eddy, pulling a pokeball out of his belt. Ed and Edd do the same.
"Be careful, fellows; we have no idea what type of moves to use on this Pokemon." said Edd. "We'll have to try different types of moves on it until we can determine which ones are the most effective against it."
"Incineroar, go!" said Eddy, throwing Incineroar's pokeball and releasing him.
"Come out, Decidueye!" said Ed, throwing Decidueye's pokeball and releasing him.
"Primarina, please assist!" said Edd, throwing Primarina's pokeball and releasing her.
"Incineroar, Fire Fang!" said Eddy. Incineroar leaps at the creature while his mouth was covered in fire and bites into the Pokemon, but not doing much damage.
"Fire attacks don't seem to work well on it, so it may be a rock, fire, dragon, or water type." said Edd. The Pokemon flies at Incineroar and rams it, knocking him back.
"Decidueye, Razor Leaf!" said Ed. Decidueye throws glowing green leaves at the Pokemon, hitting it, and doing moderate damage.
"It is possible that this creature is a dual type, otherwise if it were a pure rock or water type, then Razor Leaf should've done more damage." said Edd. The Pokemon releases a white smoke from its body, and it hits Decidueye, hurting him.
"Primarina, Bubble Beam!" said Edd. Primarina unleashes a barrage of glowing bubbles from her mouth, and it hits the Pokemon, doing super effective damage to it. "Eureka; it definitely must be part rock." The Pokemon releases light blue rings of light from its body, and it hits Primarina. "Primarina, Aqua Jet!" Primarina becomes surrounded by water and it flies at the Pokemon, ramming into it and dealing super effective damage.
"Decidueye, Spirit Shackle!" said Ed. Decidueye fires an arrow surrounded by a shadowy aura at the Pokemon and hits it, damaging it.
"Incineroar, Darkest Lariat!" said Eddy. Dark energy envelopes Incineroar as it spins towards the unknown Pokemon; when he got close enough, his claws strike it, sending it flying right into the hole it came out of where it suddenly vanishes.
"What was that Pokemon?" asked Maxiley.
"I don't know but I'm glad it's gone." said Sarah.
"So, it's true, I still need that Pokemon." Lusamine says to herself. "I must get it back."
"Why so shocked? Was it your first time seeing an Ultra Beast?" a familiar voice asked. Everyone turns to see Phyco and Soliera. "Those mysterious creatures that live beyond the Ultra Wormholes, the holes that suddenly open in the sky and lead to Ultra Space. It would serve you to remember this."
"Who are these guys?" asked Eddy.
"These are my guests. The Ultra Recon Sqauad." replied Lusamine.
"We've met before." said Edd.
"They have been giving the foundation advice of the Ultra Beasts." said Lusamine.
"The Ultra Recon Squad is a group that investigates the Ultra Wormholes and the Ultra Beasts."
"We have come to the Alola Region from another world, via an Ultra Wormhole." said Phyco.
"So, you're not from this world?" asked Edd.
"There is a creature known as Necrozma." said Soleria. "It is able to bestow light onto others, but now it runs wild, without reason. We call it the Blinding One out of respect, but I fear that the day may come when Alola loses its light to Necrozma."
"I hope not." said Edd. Lusamine walks over to Phyco and Soleria and looks at the Eds' group.
"But everything will be fine." said Lusamine. "If Necrozma, or an Ultra Beast like the one we just saw, comes to this world from another, the Aether Foundation will be prepared to protect the light of Alola."
"That's good to hear." said Edd.
"Rest easy. You will not need to worry about a thing." said Lusamine. The Eds went to the desk near the main entrance of Aether Paradise to get Decidueye, Incineroar, and Primarina treated after their battle with the Ultra Beast. After they got their Pokemon back, the group went onto the lift to take them down to the docks.
Soon, the Eds, Sarah, Jimmy, and Maxiley are back on the ferry, heading towards the direction of Ula'ula Island, where their journey continues.
